hyunsuk was pacing around your living room, repeatedly refreshing the instagram post to read the the never ending flow of comments from treasure makers, mates, and netizens in general. his long awaited debut was finally approaching with yg’s new announcement of their upcoming boy group “treasure” in which hyunsuk was a part of.

“sweetie i don’t know what you’re so worried about. you’ve gotten so much love from your fans and they’re so loyal to you. i’m sure they’re even more excited for your debut than you are” you say, shooting a comforting smile in hyunsuk’s direction.

“you’re right,” he sighs as he plops on to the sofa, next to you, “i guess i’m just worried that they might have gotten bored waiting for me all this time.” he says, staring at the ground.

“no, hyunsuk, they’re happy for you. you’ve been on instagram for this long... have you not been reading the comments? they’re literally all so happy for all 13 of you.” you pull hyunsuk into a hug, knowing that it would put him at ease like it always does.

“i guess you’re right” he pouts, looking up at you with what he thought was the cutest face he could make.

“disgusting” you joking say while shoving his face away. “let’s just get ready for bed before you start going even more crazy.” you say while dragging him to the washroom.

a lot of warmth and trust

the type of connection where you don’t even have to look at each other

when people ask about it he says you two vibe on a telepathic level

the way he shows affection in public is the exact same way

small but consistent

little reminders of ‘Hey- I’m here.’ but through touch

tracing figures in the inside of your arm

hand on your thigh whenever you’re sitting next to each other

his hand on the small of your back whenever he walks behind you

even when there’s loads of room behind you

the affection in private is a lot less small

but his favorite is when he lays on his back on the couch with his head on the arm rest

and you lay on your side on his chest with your legs draped over his

the rest of the members are going to try and claim you a lot

whenever you’re visiting the dorm they have to tell you everything that happened since the last time they saw you

which includes pictures, snacks and sometimes a runway show if they went shopping

your opinion matters to them just like Hyunsuk’s does

little do they know you and Hyunsuk tend to agree on almost everything

whenever you don’t agree on something he makes that surprised ‘oh’-face

‘Finally- we disagree.’ you’d high five and continue the conversation

fights are also very rare

they only happen when both of you are very stressed and tired

you’re not really mad at each other, you’re just exhausted

it makes small annoyances a lot bigger

but in the end you both realize you meant well

it turns into a learning process where you get even closer

meeting his family was pretty nerve wrecking

but they welcomed you so nicely

his younger brother and sister teased him slightly but all ‘n all it was a very wholesome evening

his mother would interrupt conversations just to ask you another question

she seemed just as nervous as you and wanted to make a good impression

it was clear Hyunsuk cared about you and his family knew

the dates you go on usually start with shopping

picking out outfits that aren’t exactly couple-clothing but still match so nicely

bringing back colors and certain patterns

it would look like you two just walked out of a magazine

but with big happy grins instead of stern model expressions

Hyunsuk loves pimping your clothes

adding little touches to make them suit your style evenmore

it’s his way of leaving a mark and he hopes it makes you think of him when he’s not around

the shoppingdates will slowly turn into just wandering around

finding fun themed cafés 

or pop-up art galleries

he would have so many reasons to take pictures of you

getting the most amazing angles and creative shots

all while hyping you up as his supermodel

he’s always so proud and supportive of you

with you by his side he feels like he can take on the world

but at the same time doesn’t feel the pressure to be perfect

you’re the perfect balance between motivation and reassurance

disclaimer! i obviously don’t know them personally but based on their age and personality i feel like these are the age groups they would date. i could be completely wrong as well

woong: 1996-2000

i think woong COULD date older, however he seems like the type to want to date someone who is younger than him and who is super cute!

midam: 1995-1998

midam strikes me as the type to date older, as he seems like the type to be drawn towards sexy, mature people, but if you’re younger than him and mature then he wouldn’t hesitate to go for it.

byounggon: 1999-2001

our leader-gon seems like the type to want to date someone younger so that he can take care of them. he would find it adorable how you tried to act mature, even tho he loves your young-ness.

seunghun: 1996-2002

i think out of all silverboys, seunghun would care the least about the age of his significant other. he seems like the type to be with someone as long as he loves them. but of course, he wouldn’t date someone too much older/younger since he doesn’t want that generation gap affecting the relationship.

hyunsuk: 1998-2000

i think hyunsuk would prefer dating someone closer to his age that he could relate to. being the leader of treasure 13, he would appreciate someone who could be open to listening to his worries, having the same perspective (of age) as him. but do not fret, if you’re younger/older but are still someone he can lean on, then he would be head over heals for you.

A rainy autumn day, 6:45AM

The taps of the rain on the side of the busstop are barely heard over the music coming from his earbuds. His heel tapping to the beat, his fingers tapping a little faster as he types out words in his phone. Yedam’s mornings look quite similar each day. He has seen the trees along the path go through a lot of seasons. Right now they’re slowly losing their leaves.

He takes out his earbuds to greet the busdriver before making his way to the back of the bus. Same spot as usual, next to the window to put his elbow on the little ledge and look outside. It’s only a twenty minute ride with a few stops but it’s such a peaceful way to start his day. He spots people walking their dogs, cats sitting in windowsills, the happy watermelonman on the market and... wait. 

As the bus pulls up to the third stop he spots a girl. Someone he hasn’t seen before who gets up from the little bench and follows an older lady into the bus. He knows the older lady, giving her a polite smile like he does every morning before his eyes meet yours. A bit of a bigger smile before he quickly looks outside again, feeling his face heat up. What’s happening? He tries to focus on the trees again but his mind is racing. He glances back into the bus and sees you’re sat three seats further on the other side of the path. 

He definitely hadn’t seen you before. So you must not take this bus often. His mind’s still racing. What school are you going to? Did he look creepy when he smiled? Why is your presence so radiant? wait. He shakes his head and blinks a few times to try and stay chill. The trees are still not interesting enough so he glances over one more time. Where did you go? Did he really not notice you get out? A loud sigh escapes his lips, the older lady looking over her shoulder to check if he’s alright. Another polite smile, not very big this time.

The next less rainy autumn day, 6:38AM

His heels tapping again but this time faster than the beat of his music. Hands buried in the pockets of his coat, also bouncing a little from the movement of his legs. Takes his earbuds out, greets the busdriver, walks a few steps, sits down, earbuds back in, look outside. After the second stop his leg starts bouncing again. He probably wasn’t going to see you again, he kept telling himself. You just took this bus once, it’s not like that means you’ll be hear again. The more he tried to get the idea of seeing you again out of his head the more his heart raced. Then the bus turned around the corner.

“Ofcourse-” he mumbled under his breath, only seeing the older lady get on, quick polite smile before looking out the window again. As the door is about to close he hears someone yell. “Wait! Please- wait!” you run around the corner, waving your scarf around to get the busdriver’s attention with no luck. “Sir! Someone’s trying to get on!” Yedam takes a few big steps forward, earbuds getting caught on a chair, as he tries to be heard by the busdriver. The bus stops, the doors open. You get on while breathing heavily and thanking the driver.

Yedam fumbles with his earbuds, only getting more stuck as he struggles. “Thank you-” he turns to face the direction your voice came from, still stuck “-for getting the bus to stop I mean.” The big smile right back on his face “Oh- n- no problem!” He watches you walk to the same seat as yesterday before yanking his earbuds from the chair and getting back to his own seat. The red glow on his face lingering, but not as long as the big smile. This time he did pay attention to when you got out, smiling at you once more before he sinks deeper into his chair, a warm feeling filling his chest.

Still technically autumn but basically winter, 6:42AM

A few weeks have passed and seeing you is now part of those typical mornings. To Yedam’s frustration he hasn’t said more than hi in all those mornings. Every time you walk out of the bus he mentally pinched himself for not saying more or sitting next to you. The rest of the day usually consists of him daydreaming about how tomorrow was the day he would introduce himself or come up with another fun thing to say. The members tried giving him peptalks and tips on how to start a conversation but every time he saw you those tips were nowhere to be found in his brain.

But he had a new idea this time, one that was bold but had to work. Earbuds out, greeting the busdriver, but instead of walking all the way to the back he sat three seats ahead. Taking a deep breath as he sat down, this really had to work. He noticed corners feeling a little different from this new seat. Especially the one right before the third stop. There you are, scarf wrapped around your chin and little clouds coming from your nose in the rhythm of your breathing. His heartbeat went from his throat to his toes and back. He could still get up? No. no, he’d regret it.

His eyes glued to his phone, grip a little tighter when he hears the doors open. Your voice, which he now looks forward to each day, says hi to the busdriver before it’s silent for a second. “Changing it up today?” your voice was close and clear. He looked up at you and the warm familiar feeling came back. “Yeah- I thought it must be pretty nice over here.” The soft laugh that came from you made his entire month, year even. “Maybe I should try your spot then?” You teased “Oh no- no, I can show you that spot tomorrow. I could use a tour guide for this one though.” He beamed with a sudden confidence, happy to see you sit down next to him.

“My name is Yedam, it’s nice to meet you.”
