#3 Red Bull Ring 2019 - Victory from P2

One of Max's most brilliant comebacks after a botched start that dropped him back to 7th place happened at his home Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring. It was only in the final laps that Max had Leclerc's leading Ferrari in front of his front wing. With three laps to go, he saw an opportunity and positioned his Red Bull in the tight right-hand bend before the Schönberg straight. A tough maneuver, and so the stewards made Max wait until they declared the maneuver clean and the victory legal.

"The Ferrari was super fast on the straights, so I had to try it in turn 2 - several times. On the last attempt I touched Charles, but I was ahead. I spent the three hours until the official result in the Red Bull Energy Station, together with Helmut Marko and Dietrich Mateschitz. It took a while until the victory was decided, but overall it was a cool race."
