Hi anon!  I tossed up over the two for a bit there, but here goes!
Here is 52: “I thought you knew.” 💕
☀️ The sun feels warm on Amy’s skin, and as a refreshingly cool breeze rushes through her hair she finds it next to impossible not to break out into a grin.  Today was turning out to be a pretty great day.
Given that over the years the Santiago family have spread themselves out over various states and cities, it has always been considered a sizeable task to get more two or more members in the same place and the same time - major family events excluded.  Perhaps that was why today felt particularly special; an impromptu gathering in the park leading to three of her brothers (and their extended family) occupying a decent amount of space in a park thirty minutes drive from her and Jake’s apartment.
The infectious giggles of two of Amy’s cousins, Maria and Eddie, bubble up to her ears as they zoom past, far too intent on winning their game of chase to acknowledge their tia as their tiny feet kick up blades of grass.  Their father, Luis, stands over to Amy’s right, manning the grill and holding his ground in a relatively level-headed disagreement with David about the ‘right way’ to barbecue the meat they were serving with lunch.  To her left, her sister-in-law Clarissa teaches her and Andrew’s daughter how to play patty cake.  The relaxed joviality that can only be brought about by the gathering of loved ones is floating in the air around them, and Amy is endlessly thankful that both she and Jake had the chance to join in today.
Six months have passed since the birth of their daughter - since, in one evening, Amy had experienced both excruciating pain and an abundance of elation, all within five short hours - and it felt like both yesterday and a million years ago, all at the same time.
It had been an interesting few months to begin with (babies, she had quickly learned, are not interested in following any schedules you may have put together, no matter how meticulous they may be); and it was only in the last ten or so weeks that the three of them had finally been able to figure out a routine.  Finally, their little girl was starting to sleep through the night, and she and Jake have learned to adjust to their new normal (which always seems to be changing; but if there is anyone that has taught Amy Santiago to expect the unexpected, it’s Jake Peralta).
None of it has been easy - most of the great things in life rarely were - but she would do it all again in a nanosecond, just for the sheer joy of hearing her daughter’s laugh for the first time.
Today, Amy stands amongst family with freshly cut hair (thanks largely to her husband taking an extra day off yesterday, pushing her out their front door with a declaration that today is Amy Day), wearing one of her favourite dresses and lending out a helping hand as she talks to other adults about topics other than teething and feeding schedules, and it all feels kind of amazing.
A stray breeze grabs a hold of a pile of napkins that had been sitting at the table, throwing them carelessly over the surrounding grass, and Amy scrambles quickly - desperate to catch them before they fall victim to the trampling feet of her many nieces and nephews.  It turns out to be an almost impossible task, excusing herself with a polite smile as she moves too close for comfort towards other people’s gatherings, snatching up the items as quickly as possible so that she can make a hasty exit.
It’s as she moves to grab the last offender that Amy manages to overhear a conversation, the guilt at eavesdropping only temporary as she picks up on the topic.  There are two women to her left, both of whom were nursing what looked to be wine coolers in plastic cups, and one woman’s focus was on something (or rather, someone) in the distance before her.
“Ohmygodokay, Jenna … don’t look right away, but I’ve totally just found the hottest guy at this park.”  There’s a pause, and then the voice continues.  “I told you not to look right away!”
“Okay, okay - relax Rachel!” was the snarky reply, following up quickly with an “Okay, damn!”
Still keeping her head bowed, Amy’s wedding ring set sparkles in the sunlight as she reaches out to grab the last napkin, and it’s taking all of her restraint not to straighten up and look in the direction the women were facing.
“See?  I told you I’d found the winner.”
“Mmmhmm, yep.”
“The height, the smile, the baby sling strapped around him … you know, I’ve never really been big on plaid, but on this guy it totally works.”
“It really does.”
It’s the mention of the plaid pattern that finally piques Amy’s curiosity, and she swivels her head as she stands, raising her free hand above her eyes to shield them from the sun as she studies the scene before her.
And honestly, the gossiping girls behind her were not wrong.
The hottest guy in the park was definitely walking towards them; and with an overwhelming surge of pride Amy notices that the hot guy is, in fact, her husband.  He’s wearing the eco-friendly sunglasses she bought him for Christmas, and has their baby daughter safely strapped to his chest care of the sling that Gina had given Amy at her baby shower, and he’s honestly never looked hotter.
Returning from Diaper Duty - a role he shares equally with his wife without a single complaint, a fact that makes her love him all the more - Jake grins over at Amy when he notices her looking, lifting their daughter’s hand in a tiny wave as she moves towards the two of them.
“Hey babe,” he says as Amy nears him, lifting his index finger to his lips in a shhh motion as they fall into step together.  “Sorry it took me so long.  Bubba took a little longer than normal to settle, so she and I just kinda hung out for a little bit over by the flower beds, and then she totally zonked out.”
Craning her neck, Amy looks over at the tiny sleeping bundle resting against Jake’s chest, and she cannot help but feel her heart smile at the sight.  “My god she’s adorable.”
“Ugh, I know right?  Like, obviously we were going to make a cute baby.  But this?  It’s like a whole other level of cuteness.  I literally cannot handle it.”
Slowing down her pace, Amy waits until she and Jake are standing on the outskirts of their family gathering before leaning in for another look, this time leaving a gentle kiss against the hat that sat on top of their daughter’s head.  (Truly, there was no way anyone could have prepared her for how endearingly tiny all of their little girl’s clothing would turn out to be.  Tiny hats!  Teeny tiny socks!  Ruffle covered bottoms!  It was all too much, and yet never enough.)
“Here,”  Jake offers, revealing a plucked daisy; the white petals looking far too small inside his crazily sexy hands.  “We picked this for you.”
With her eyebrows raised in surprise, Amy looks up at Jake with a smile, taking the tiny flower and tucking into the juncture of her ear and hairline.  “You two … are just the sweetest,” she mumbles, grabbing Jake’s hand and bringing it up to leave a kiss against his wedding ring.  He grins in return, resting his hand against her lower back when she frees it, leading Amy gently towards the rest of the guests as lunch begins to be served.
*
It’s over an hour before Jake and Amy find themselves with a chance to pull away from the others, tidying up the remnants of lunch before standing off to the side and watching their cousins negotiate one last round of playtime before the drive home.
Resting her head against Jake’s shoulder as his right arm wraps around hers, Amy lets out a contented sigh.  Apart from a brief moment of activity where she’d demanded a bottle, their baby girl had spent the majority of the afternoon asleep against her father’s chest.  Knowing that she was comfortable and safe, while she and Jake sat together with family and caught up on each other’s lives, had relaxed Amy to no end.
Smiling up at Jake’s phone as he whips it out to take a selfie, Amy nods in approval at the resulting image before remembering the conversation she’d heard earlier.
“You are totally the flavour of the day, by the way.”
Turning his head to the right, Jake studies Amy’s face for a moment before furrowing his brow, replying with a confused “Huh?”
Nodding her chin towards the other women in the park, one side of Amy’s mouth slides upwards into a amused grin.  “Just before you got back from diaper duty, I happened to overhear a couple of girls talking.  And they totally declared you to be the hottest dad around.”  Turning her body towards his, Amy reaches out to toy with the lining of the unbuttoned plaid that he’d thrown over the top of his shirt today.  “I, of course, could not agree more.”
Shrugging his shoulders, Jake pauses as the information sinks in, then shakes his head.  “Hottest dad, huh?”
Pulling away slightly, Amy looks at him in surprise.  “I thought you knew?”
Jake cocks his head to the side, and she smiles before continuing.  “You’ve had the biggest smile on your face all afternoon, Peralta.  It’s practically stealing the sun’s job, it’s so bright.”
Her husband laughs at the comparison, his left hand reaching out to cradle their daughter’s head as his chest bounces repeatedly.  “Ames,” he responds, letting his right hand slide down Amy’s back before grabbing her left, “I’m out at the park with family on a long weekend off.  I’ve got my baby girl all snuggled up safe and sound, and my gorgeous wife is walking around in the same pink dress I remember peeling off her body on the first day of our honeymoon.  Life is pretty damn good today.  It’s no wonder I’m smiling.”
Amy’s heart stutters a little at Jake’s statement, her bottom lip curling up at the sweet nature of the man she loves.  How she managed to get this lucky, she’ll never understand.  Pushing herself up to her tippy toes, she cranes her neck up towards Jake and pushes a quick kiss against his lips.  “Good save, babe.”
“Not a save so much as it is the truth,”  Jake counters, leaning back down for another kiss.  “I’m the luckiest man alive right now, and that is the only thing I know.”
Cupping his cheek in her hand, Amy matches Jake’s smile with her own.  “I love you, babe.”
“I love you, too.”  Dipping his head, Jake kisses her once more, then pulls away quickly.  “Wait.  Does this mean … I’m a dilf?”
Twisting her mouth to one side, Amy pretends to consider the obviously correct title before nodding.  “It totally does.  But … only if that means that I’m a milf in return.”
Jake’s forehead leans against hers, and he holds Amy’s gaze as he winks, lowering his voice so that only she can hear his reply.  “I think the events from two nights ago will confirm that is most definitely the case.”
Amy feels the blush begin at the tips of her ears, flooding her cheeks before she has a chance to control it, and Jake chuckles softly at her reaction, running his hand soothingly up and down her back as she rests her head against his shoulder again.  Peeking down at their daughter, Amy takes in the fact that she’s still sleeping and whispers “Your daddy is always finding ways to make mama blush, bubba.  We’ve gotta figure out some ways to counter-attack.”
“Oh, please.  She had me wrapped around her little finger, exactly zero point two seconds after she was born.”
Chuckling softly, Amy nods in agreement.  “Same.  If only she knew the power she has over us.”
A minute snuffle comes out of their daughter’s mouth as if in response, her perfect little lips bunching up into a tiny pout as she nestles closer to Jake’s shirt.  There’s a tiny trail of drool left behind, and like two totally enamoured parents, they both find themselves smiling at the result.
“Oh yeah, she totally knows.”
Nodding again, Amy wraps her free arm around Jake’s waist, closing her eyes briefly and breathing in the scent of his cologne as she lets the last of the day’s sunlight soak into her skin.
Truly, this was turning out to be an amazing day.  And she had the strongest instinct that there were a thousand more great days, just like this one, waiting for them in the future.  But the future could wait - because she had everything she needed, right here in her arms.

Suits and Leather Jackets (Ch. 15)
Tumblr media
Premise: Bryn’s first week at Catch Fire Advertising had been pretty simple, but when the CEO of the company, Luke Hemmings, asks her to dinner, she’s put in a position she’s unsure she wants to be in. With rumors swirling around them and Bryn wanting nothing more than to just be another employee, how long will it take before their bursting into light by each other’s company?
Word Count: 3,000 (it’s short, I’m sorry)
{Chapter One} {Chapter Two} {Chapter Three} {Chapter Four} {Chapter Five} {Chapter Six} {Chapter Seven} {Chapter Eight} {Chapter Nine} {Chapter Ten} {Chapter Eleven} {Chapter Twelve} {Chapter Thirteen} {Chapter Fourteen} {Chapter Fifteen} {Chapter Sixteen finale}
I stood in front of the Hood and Family Advertising building for a few minutes, just staring up at it, the memories of when I worked here coming back to me. I was still angry with Mali, with Calum for everything that they had put me through, but the anger I had right now was completely for what they were doing to Luke. I took a deep breath before I walked towards the doors.
It was my first day, the revolving door turning as more people walked in. There was a pit in my stomach, nerves tangling with excitement for my next step in my career. When I walked through the doors, the smell of peppermint filled my nose reminding me of candy canes and Christmas. It was perfect.
I stopped at the security desk, giving the man a smile as he looked at me.
“How can I help you Miss?” he asked, looking me up and down. Did he remember me from when I used to work here?
“I’m here to see Mali-Koa Hood. She isn’t expecting me. I came by to surprise her,” I said, faking the excitement in my voice. He smiled before typing something into his computer. A visitor badge was printed and he handed it to me, my name already being printed on it.
“It’s good to see you again Bryn,” he said, smiling.
“It’s nice to see you too Brian. It feels weird to be here,” I said, clipping the badge to my jacket.
“It feels a little weird to see you here. How’ve you been?” he asked, eyes watching people walk by behind me.
“Good. Got a new job. How about you? Anything crazy happen in the security world?” I asked, making him laugh.
“Nope. It’s been fairly quiet and easy. I miss our morning chats though,” he said.
“They were pretty great. I should head up to surprise Mali though. It was nice seeing you Brian,” I said, starting to back away.
“You too Bryn!” he said, waving and sitting back down behind the desk.
“Ma’am, you need a security badge before you can go anywhere!” Brian called after me before I could walk up the stairs. I stopped, cheeks flushing, feeling extremely embarrassed.
“Sorry. I had no idea. Um, I’m a new employee,” I said while I walked up to the desk.
“I’m Brian. It’s nice to meet you. Let’s get your security set up.”
The elevator was still slow, the numbers ticking by at what felt like a snail’s pace. It was also still extremely cold in here. My eyes focused on the numbers, waiting for it to hit twelve. The doors opened and I saw the layout of my previous floor again. There were new people, but I saw some familiar faces. I walked towards Mali’s office, still remembering where it was even after all these years. The hallway was decorated with photos of her and Calum with their company achievements. I paused as I stood by her office door. It was open and I could see her through the window sitting at her desk. I took another deep breath as I walked in.
“Bryn, what are you doing here? Calum will see you!” she said when she saw me, rushing up to her door and closing it. She drew the blinds too. It was almost like she was paranoid and it was a nice dynamic flip for me. For once, I wasn’t scared or intimidated by Mali.
“I could ask you the same question except, we aren’t at my office. Why did you check in today Mali?” I asked, not sitting down. I wanted to remain standing in hopes that it would make me seem more powerful in this situation.
“I haven’t left my office all morning. What are you talking about?” she asked, sitting back down at her desk. The way she folded her hands was similar to the way Hazel had done it in my interview. The comparison made me even angrier.
“And I’m just supposed to trust you on that right? I’m not falling for it Mali. Why the hell are you doing this to Luke?” I asked, crossing my arms. She blinked several times, still showing her confusion.
“Doing what to Luke? Bryn, I seriously don’t know what you’re talking about,” she said, waving her hands a bit before putting them back on her desk.
“So you know nothing about my office being broken into and having pictures of me and Luke put in my empty frames?” I asked, my voice raising a little. Her eyes widened, but then a look of recognition came over her face.
“I should have known that’s why Calum was on the other side of town last night,” she said, fingers moving to tap away at her computer. She motioned for me to sit down, turning her computer so I could see the screen. There was a pattern across the screen.
“What am I looking at?” I asked, glancing over at her.
“Calum’s location patterns from yesterday,” she said simply. I whipped my head to look at her.
“You have him tracked?” I asked, completely surprised by her actions.
“Yeah. After the gala, I knew something was up so I enabled his location sharing with me at all times. He was on the other side of town last night at what looks like two in the morning,” she said, tapping away again. The screen zoomed in and showed the address of where he had been. Mali and I shared a look after reading it, Luke’s address on the screen.
“Mali! Have you heard from the Jeffersons yet?” Calum’s voice came over her phone speaker. She snapped back to attention, closing the page and typing again.
“Nope. Sorry Cal,” she said, pulling open a spreadsheet of their budget. Her eyes narrowed, searching for something in particular.
“I’ll call them again. Thanks,” he said, the speaker turning off right away. Mali pointed at the screen.
Venger - $10,000
“What does that mean?” I asked, watching her closely.
“Revenge in french.”
Mali and I stared at each other for a moment before she turned her computer screen again. I was about to ask her something when I heard her door open.
“Come to grovel for your job back?” Calum’s voice rang in my ears. I turned, meeting his brown eyes and feeling a strange shiver run down my spine. My eyes flicked down to his hands, seeing a tiny speck of red paint of his hand, the color standing out against his skin tone. I looked back up at him.
“No. I wanted Mali’s advice on what to wear to the big campaign announcement next week since I know she’s been to them before,” I said, thinking of the best lie I could possibly tell.
“What campaign announcement?” he asked, narrowing his eyes at me. Being under Calum’s watch again had me thinking of that day in his office all over again.
He had called me to ask about a proposal for a client. He had tricked me into going near him by telling me his computer couldn’t turn. I had walked over and he had pushed me into his desk, holding me in a bruising grip before kissing me. When I had pushed him to get away from me, his grip had tightened more.
“Luke is announcing his big ad campaign next week. Big affair. A lot of people will be there,” Mali said, saving me from having to lie.
“And we were invited I presume?” Calum asked, eyes flicking back to meet Mali’s.
“Well I don’t know why he wouldn’t invite us so I’m assuming so. The invitations don’t go out until next week. It’s being kept very hush hush by the interns and people that are working on the guest list,” Mali said, winking and then looking back at her computer.
“Right. Here’s that store Bryn,” she said, picking up a sticky note and jotting something down on it. I took it and gave her a smile before getting up.
“Thank you once again. Have a good day!” I said, faking cheer and leaving the office. I briskly walked away from the hallway, getting into the elevator and reading the sticky note.
He’s planning something. I’ll find out what it is.
I rested my head against the elevator wall while tucking the note into my pocket. As I was about to exit the elevator, someone came in, pushing me into the wall, a hand wrapping around my waist and neck. I panicked, eyes widening and meeting Calum’s harsh brown ones.
“Should we make some elevator memories of our own Bryn? I know you’re still seeing him. I’m not stupid,” he growled, his grip on my waist tightening. I was able to dial Luke somehow while Calum held me.
“What are you talking about?” I barely got out, trying to push him away.
“Your little escapades with Luke, sweet girl. I know you practically fucked him in his elevator. How about you do that with me huh?” he nearly growled, hand around my neck moving to grab the other side of my waist.
“Get off of me,” I said, pushing at him while he leaned into my neck.
“You sure you want that baby? I know you loved it when we were in that storage closet,” he said, lips brushing against my neck.
“Yes. Get away from me Calum,” I said firmly, pushing harder against his chest.
“Oh baby, I know you want it. Your eyes were just begging me in Mali’s office to remind you of how much you love my cock,” he said, lips pressing against my neck, sucking slightly. The fear and anger were taking over and I was starting to feel like I couldn’t move. I could only hope that Luke was hearing all of this and that he was going to somehow show up to get me out of this. I felt the numbness coming in and I just wanted all of it to be over. As the doors started to open again, there was a small sliver of hope that someone would be there to see what was happening. Calum started to reach for the button to close the doors again when his arm was pulled behind his back.
“Calum Hood, you are under arrest and have the right to remain silent,” I heard, opening my eyes and seeing an officer pulling Calum away from me. His hand let go of my neck and pulled behind him. I stood there letting the air fill my lungs again as I watched in what felt like slow motion as he was escorted away. Mali ran up to me, wrapping her arms around me and saying things I wasn’t hearing. She lead me out of the elevator, but turned me away as the press snapped pictures of the CEO being taken away.
I snapped my eyes open, taking in my surroundings, the hustle and bustle of Chicago through the train windows passing by. I felt groggy, having fallen asleep since leaving Luke’s office. I double checked and saw that I hadn’t missed the stop I needed for Hood and Family. I thought about my dream as I got off the train. Why had I thought about that? I knew it was something that I wanted and hoped would happen someday, but for my own imagination to come up with it and in such vivid detail scared me a bit. As I started walking towards the building, I saw a group of press outside. I paused, watching to see what was going on, feeling apprehensive about continuing to walk into the building.
“I’d suggest not going in there,” I heard Mali’s voice from behind me. I rolled my eyes, slowly turning to face her. At least I didn’t have to go in to see her.
“I don’t have to if you’re out here,” I said, letting her know why I was there.
“Well, the police are doing a full swipe of the building. I don’t know how the press found out, but now it’s a waiting game,” she said, crossing her arms and standing like she couldn’t be bothered. It made me dislike her even more.
“What are they searching for?” I asked, holding back on my anger with her.
“Fraud. I gave them a budget report that showed Calum hiding money. They’re also going through his apartment right now too,” she said, her voice still calm. This was her brother we were talking about and even though I knew what Calum had done, I was still surprised how willing Mali was to cooperate.
“What’s your plan here Mali? What angle are you working? Are you just hoping that because you’re helping Luke will come back to you? Is it some weird sibling rivalry thing that I’m not getting?” I asked, needing to have all the cards on the table for this.
“Why can’t I just help someone that’s been wronged Bryn?” she asked, her voice sounding tired, almost to an exhaustion level.
“Because you’re a Hood and you didn’t seem to have a problem when your brother was sexually harassing me,” I said, the anger boiling just under the surface. I wouldn’t start anything that the press would feel the need to show people, but I would not let her think that I had forgotten.
“You’re still hung up on that? It was a year ago Bryn. You need to move past it,” she said, causing my anger to churn even more.
“Okay, let me put it this way Mali. You stood by while your brother not only sexually harassed me in front of you, but in front of others and then when reported, you did nothing. You stood by yet again. You were a bystander in a situation that is already hard enough for a woman, but to add fuel to the flame by egging him on while he fired me for not sleeping with him? That is something I won’t forget,” I said, clenching my fists. I started to think about why I had even come over here. I should have known how difficult it would be to talk to her.
“He’s my brother. What did you expect me to do?” she asked, her own voice showing how frustrated she was.
“See past that and understand what was happening. To stand up for another woman that was being mistreated,” I said, annoyed at the fact that I even had to say it in the first place. She nodded, but I didn’t miss the way she rolled her eyes.
“You know what, this was stupid. I shouldn’t expect anything less than this. Whatever you and Calum are doing, just, stop hurting Luke. If you’re after me, fine. Do what you’re going to do, but leave Luke out of it,” I said, sighing. I was accepting defeat, but if it meant keeping Luke free from harm than I’d take it.
“What are you talking about now Bryn? I’m on your side for this one,” Mali said, a groan leaving her mouth.
“Your badge got used at Catch Fire this morning before my office was broken into! Are you seriously telling me that you don’t know what I’m talking about? Luke might be easily played by you, but I’m not Mali. There’s too many coincidences for you to be clueless!” I almost shouted. She blinked, her eyes wide like a deer in headlights. It made me want to slap her.
“What happened in your office?” she asked, still blinking.
“Seriously Mali? There were pictures of me and Luke plastered on my wall!” I said, pushing some of my hair from my face.
“I haven’t had a badge for Catch Fire since Luke and I broke up,” she said, pulling her phone out.
“Bullshit. I’m not-”
“Oh my god,” Mali gasped, her eyes focused on something behind me. I turned to see Calum being escorted out of the building, his hands behind his back in handcuffs. Mali rushed forward, our conversation completely forgotten as she ran towards Calum. It was like she hadn’t given them the information they needed to properly arrest him. I watched them interact, a smirk still on Calum’s face as he listened to Mali. When our eyes met, his left one dropped into a wink causing the anger inside of me to bubble up again. My mouth opened as I watched another officer come up to Mali and place a pair of handcuffs around her wrists. I could see the shock and fear in her eyes as they placed her in the backseat next to Calum. The numbness from my dream on the train came back, this time rooting me into the ground. There was a certain feeling of justice that started to come over me as I watched the police car drive past me, but it was soon replaced by confusion when my eyes met Mali’s again. There were tears in her eyes and I came to the realization that something was wrong. If Mali had really been helping Calum, she wouldn’t be freaking out like she was. Unless she just wasn’t expecting to get caught? I pulled my phone out and dialed Luke.
“Bryn? Is everything okay?” he asked, the service where he was making him cut in and out.
“Mali and Calum just got arrested,” I said, letting the words hang in the air.
“Ms. Weld, excuse me, Ms. Weld?” the attorney’s voice snapped me back into reality, the memories from a year ago all coming back in one moment of sitting on the stand.
“Sorry. Just a lot of memories being brought back up,” I explained, giving a polite smile. I flicked my eyes over to Calum, the orange jumpsuit fitting him perfectly for the asshole that he was. Mali sat behind him, prepared to defend her little brother to the ends of the Earth. Luke was sat on the other side of the courtroom, a suit hugging his body nicely, and a proud smile on his face as he looked up at me.
“When did you first have these encounters with Mr. Hood?” the attorney, Jefferson, asked. I nodded, being reminded of exactly why I was here.
“Right. Once again, I apologize for my behavior. I haven’t seen Mr. Hood in quite some time,” I said, brushing off my previous mishap.
“It’s alright Ms. Weld. Now, please, tell us about your time at Hood and Family Advertising.”
I AM SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG! School started and I got busy, so we’re gonna be pretty spotty, but here is chapter fifteen. We’re five chapters away from this ending though. Five chapters of Luke and Bryn and Calum and Mali and Becca and Michael. I hope you all enjoy them. Thanks again for reading it.

This Would Be So Much Easier if I was a Player...
So things have definitely gotten exciting, on both ends.  Which only makes this harder.  But let’s focus on the positives.  Goth Mom & I went on a date last week and we’re up to Date 2 this week!  [I’m not gonna differentiate between Goth Dog & Goth Cat mom anymore.  The latter isn’t in the equation anymore.  She’s just an online acquaintance that’s fun to talk to.] But yes, Goth Mom & I had a really great time hiking on trails in a nice park that I’ve never been to.  We walked for 3 HOURS!!!  A decent chunk of time was spent chilling on a log where we opened up to each other and learned each other more.  And when conversation ran out, we defaulted to, “I’m having a great time,” which is good.
Meanwhile, Metal Cat girl has definitely gotten steamier with me.  And just yesterday she had a major break-through, or break-up, I should say with her long-term relationship.  So now...  I’m in trouble.  Because I absolutely like both of them for very different reasons.  This would be so much easier if I was a player...
But alas, I am not...
This rant is not meant to be the deciding factor, or to mull over comparisons or anything.  Instead, I’ll just focus on what happened already, and think about what could happen next.
Like I said, last Wednesday was the date!  And I was really, really happy about that.  Leading up to it, I just put a feeler out there about getting out of the house and going for a walk one day, and she was totally into it.  I had no idea it’d be a 3 hour event.
It was really nice, and refreshingly simple.  I’d like to get deeper with her, but at the same time, she has a kid and I think she’s being understandably careful.  We’ve been talking Daily, still, since I first met her in that random Zoom call.  Today marks Day 10.  I’d say, you can only connect so much by Day 10, but by Day 5 Metal Cat girl & I already admitted our feelings to each other.  Still, in her own way Goth Mom has Not been denying me anything.  We talk all the time, and when I put it out there for date 2, I remember saying, “I don’t know if it’s too soon to talk about getting food next, but...”  and she said, “I had a great time with you!  If you ask to hang out and I’m free, I’m not gonna say no!!”
So that’s confirmation enough that she likes my company.  She’s interested in seeing where it goes.  And that makes me thrilled.  I’m so attracted to her.  But it has to be more than that.  We need to bond on the same values and have enough similar interests that we don’t absolutely bore or alienate each other.
I love her artistry.  She’s really good at painting.  One thing that sucks is that she works, All the time.  [I will eventually too.]. But poor girl only gets one day off a week.  Always on Monday.  Which I think should truly be her days to herself, knowing that.  She gets out of work early on some days though, and for 2 Wednesdays in a row, she’s made that our Date Night.  So, who knows.  Wednesday might become Goth Mom Day, but..  still too soon to tell if we’re gonna fall into a pattern.
I recall things going well with girls before, and even having good 2nd dates.  But somewhere in there they make their decision and don’t tell you about anything by the time you plan for Date 3.  I’ve found out the hard way before that people haven’t been interested, at least once.
So I’m guarded about that.  Part of me fears that we aren’t connecting enough. But I’m remaining cool about it.  In our daily talks, it’s very simple stuff like, “How was your day?  What are you up to?”  And just that type of stuff is nice enough.  She always makes it a point to say Good Morning and Goodnight to me.  And last night was our first actual Phone call rather than just texting.  So who knows if that will continue.
I like that she’s regimented in her schedule to put her kid to bed at the same basic time every night.  She goes to bed way earlier than me because of work.  That’s not necessarily a bad thing at all, but who knows?
At the first date, we’ve established what we’re both looking for in a relationship and people.  We’re both kind of in the same place.  She wants to work on herself more, but she’s open minded to meeting someone and spending time with them to see where it goes. Whereas, I got out of something serious in February and am ready to meet new people, but at the same time just want to see where it goes.
Still, her language sent the signal to me that she wants to take things very slow.  And I don’t know how interested I am in doing that.  I have a feeling Date 2 will give me more of an idea on where any of that is going and how I feel further.
And then we have Metal Cat girl, who needs a new name by this point.  I want to switch it to Nerdy Potential girl, because that’s exactly what she is.  In the short time we’ve known each other, this person has expressed so much potential for me as a possible partner, it’s crazy!!!!  In fact, it sends a red flag.  This person can’t wait to spend time with me!!
She’s already been to my place 4 times.  I can’t even remember why she came over the first time.  I know I talked about it already, but what made me feel so awkward was that it was in secret.  She was supposed to be on her way to her Cousin’s out East.  Now I remember.  Then, there was a Doctor Appointment that she made an excuse for.  The 2nd Meeting was me telling her that things are actually going well with Goth Mom and it made her cry...  She thought this was over.  I didn’t mean to give her false hope, but I told her that nothing we’ve already said or done was diminished.  It’s just that she was still in a relationship and I was uncomfortable.  And she had told me to straight up, not to wait.  Go date.  So that’s what I’m doing.  And I actually see a possibility with this person, I think.  So I want to see where that goes.  But that’s where this honesty gets fucked, because I absolutely care for this person too.  And we’ve discussed about this openly at the 2nd meeting.
On the 3rd meeting, which wasn’t long after... we 100% hooked up.  In fact... I think this was the day after my date... ::facepalms:: Nerdy girl was so sweet and lovey dovey the night before that I kind of stopped caring and really wanted to see her.  We had talked about how on Monday, the 2nd meeting, we just cuddled and touched each other a bit.  It was a major tease, but the boundaries weren’t crossed.  It was petting her hair and a pseudo massage.  Hers was tempting petting of the legs, but nothing further.  We both controlled ourselves and she eventually left. So after that great date with Goth Mom, and all of this talk about how great Monday was already, I couldn’t wait for her to come over and for us to just be like that again. Well, we definitely did more, but we still drew a line.  We massaged and groped each other a bit, but we didn’t fuck.  Dry humping is very close though.  And we 100% made out.
And this pisses me off, because I’m not giving myself an honest shot anymore, like I said I wanted to do.  But the other part of me doesn’t want to wait forever, and doesn’t know if I’ll ever have a connection in the same way that I do with Nerdy girl.
I’ve fully admitted that I don’t know what I’m doing.  And she’s okay with that. She just at the same time, wants to make sure that she doesn’t lose out...
Then she came a 4th time, unexpected the next day... This was a bit of a red flag to me.  At the 3rd visit I said she shouldn’t be coming around every day or even every few days.  Just once in a while.
Instead, this girl tells me that she was baking brownies and surprised me with a phone call saying she was on her way to drop me off some.  I never asked for that!  She caught me off guard and it interrupted my day!!!
Not that I had much going on that day, but still...  it was weird.  And she definitely didn’t want to leave after 5 minutes.  Instead, she stayed for like an hour.  We didn’t do anything this time.  She just wanted to talk.  And the talk was more serious again.  It was like our 2nd meeting.
She was asking how to win me over.  And it was the most awkward, on-the-spot situation.  I told her it wasn’t about that.  And that truthfully I like both of them.  And that I have to see where this goes.  I was supposed to meet her.  That was the plan.  Nerdy Taken girl falling for me, wasn’t meant to happen.  That’s her own shit coming at me and interfering with the original intentions.
So it was a really weird discussion, but it certainly wasn’t an argument.  There was absolutely no horse play, which I’m glad about.  She even met me in the middle and said that if I found my person, she doesn’t want to interfere with that.  But at the same time, she thinks she found her person, and she thinks that's me.
It’s amazing. It’s heartwarming. It’s sweet. It’s unexpected.  But at the moment, it’s also unwanted.  It’s so fucking insane.
I don’t have it in me to just blow off Goth Mom and run away with Potential Girl.  Even if all the other boxes are checked...
But the latest news is that just yesterday, Nerdy girl and her boyfriend agreed to separate.  That’s how she put it.  She is going through EXACTLY what I went through in February.  And as promised I’m there for her.  But I also need to give her time.  Really, truly.
No matter how ready she thinks she is, she can’t just start up a relationship with me right away.  She needs to give herself at least a little bit of time to live with herself, and not rely on someone else for companionship, company or something to do.
I don’t know.  That’s such a hard thing to enforce when you’re actively flirting with someone.
But right now, for me, I gotta focus on that 2nd Date.  Which I’m still very excited about.  When I compare the two, I do think that Goth Mom & I have a simple attraction for each other.  I think she’s hot and I like talking to her.  Period. While Nerdy girl and I straight up feel like we’re together already. But this is what I meant to say...  At the 3rd or 4th hangout, the inevitable happened... She had to answer a phone call and lie to her Dad about where she was... And it made me feel SO UNCOMFORTABLE.  I told her as such at the 4th hangout.  She apologized.  I told her that I already feel like the Other Man.  And this isn’t good.
There’s other things that she probably hasn’t considered yet.  Like will there be a falling out with the original friend that introduced us?  Will that person get thrown off, because instead of dating the single girl, I ended up breaking up 2 of her other close friends...?
The idea sickens me.  It’s not my fault.
She fucking fell for me.  And I definitely adhered to it.
Sometimes I wonder if the whole thing is already fucked.  If the foundation is too screwed up.  And even if things work out for us, there’s going to be this weird sour spot at how we initially started.
I know for a fact, that if Goth Mom gets to the point where she respectfully tells me that she has fun with me, but she doesn’t think of me that way, then it will be So Easy to gravitate towards Nerdy girl and take whatever steps necessary to make that an actual thing.
But if Goth Mom gets into me and we finally hook up and stuff?  That means we’ll have reached a level of intimation that she is comfortable enough to consider adding me into her life with a child!  And all the baggage that comes with it.  Her Ex is still in the picture and he’s a raging asshole that isn’t going away.  This is absolutely something that I have to factor in.
Is that worth it?  Is that something I want to take on...?
There’s still so many God Damn Unknowns.
But that's where things stand right now. I hope I’ll have more of an idea on how I feel after our 2nd date.  We’re gonna get Mexican together and dine out for the first time during this Pandemic.  I’m wary of it, but I’m also trusting her through this.  When we walked together, we both did so without masks.
Covid is absolutely still a thing.  Even if the curve has been flattened, where I live.  I fear that my Unemployment is going to end sooner than later, and eventually I’m gonna be in a completely new thing all together.
I really don’t know.  A new work schedule will certainly reshape how I act and do what I do.  And when it comes to Goth Mom, that might completely jive with her.  Nerdy girl is still working on getting her Unemployment back-pay, which I think is insane!!!!  But she’ll either be in a position to do her own thing all the time, or she’ll go back to work, and just get a hefty check at some point.
Either way, things are definitely changing for all of us.  And things really could go any way at this point which is why I wrote now, rather than later.
Until next time, folks.

IOTA, EOS, Tron, Stellar Lumens and Litecoin Technical Analysis (June 13, 2018)
Even though Trump and Kim have shaken hands, we are yet to see a slow down in Bitcoin prices which we all know anchors alt coin prices. In real sense, Bitcoin dominance stands at 38 percent and the general crypto cap is up to $309 billion but this is apparently not stopping sellers from eroding Litecoin, EOS and Tron valuation. In fact, Litecoin is trading below $110, a key support line while EOS is down testing $10, a sell trigger line.
Let’s have a look at these charts
EOS Technical Analysis
EOS Daily Chart by Trading View
Even though we have internal testing that demonstrates that the EOS network can easily handle hundred of thousands of transactions, still, we need to see the performance of the blockchain once everything is ready. With this, we already have comparisons between Bitcoin and EOS and how dismissal the former is. However, note that the permissionless nature of Bitcoin is what makes it hard to scale while EOS has it is to some permissioned. Besides, some even claim EOS is more centralized than Ripple despite the ability to vote out Block producers in EOS. As it is, it operates more like a democracy with a transparent system that is on-chain.
Price wise, EOS is down 18 percent in the last 24 hours and with that move, its testing the main support line at $10. From the chart, it’s clear that prices are now aligning with bear pressure that was set in pace by June 10 depreciation. So, today I recommend shorting and placing stops above June 11 highs of $11.5. Sell targets would be at $7.
Litecoin (LTC) Technical Analysis
Litecoin Daily Chart by Trading View
There is a new PayWithLitecoin website where users can track which merchant supports LTC. It’s also a platform where they can check which sites users are demanding LTC incorporation. From statistics, it is emerging that users have been consistently asking the likes of Amazon and eBay to allow LTC checkout. It’s no secret that any inclusion of LTC as a payment method in any of these big corporations would propel prices to new highs.
On to the charts and Litecoin sellers are pushing prices lower. Note that after yesterday’s bear candlestick and 13 percent depreciation, trading with the trend and shorting at every highs with targets at $90 and lower should be the way to go. On the cautious side, any appreciation that would put prices above $110 and $130 would be an antidote for bears effectively cancelling our bear forecast.
Stellar Lumens (XLM) Technical Analysis
Stellar Lumens Daily Chart by Trading View
Like the rest, Stellar Lumens is down 18 percent in the last 24 hours meaning our previous trade plan is right on track. So, like yesterday, selling and trading with the trend with targets at 18 cents and stops above 27 cents would be ideal. On the flip side, any appreciation above June 10 highs and 30 cents would negate our trade plan.
Tron (TRX) Technical Analysis
Tron Daily Chart by Trading View
Is Binance indirectly endorsing Tron? It may be if we see their recent move not only of listing TRXUSDT pair but also their public support of their mainnet launch that goes live in less than 14 days. It’s obvious that such declaration is not only a long-term support for the newly minted coins but it will boost TRX liquidity and its credibility in the crypto verse.

— 新規上場!! (@crypto_notice) June 12, 2018
Zooming on to the chart and like EOS and the rest, sellers are pressing the gas pedal. The trend is obviously clear and in days to come and even to mainnet launch, selling and trading with the trend looks like a good strategy. In this regard, I would suggest selling on every high with ideal resistance at 5 cents and bear targets at 4 cents and later 3 cents as we have pointed out yesterday.
IOTA (IOT) Technical Analysis
IOTA Daily Chart by Trading View
Despite CEBIT 2018 and IOTA work with Volkswagen, still prices are registering double digit losses. After yesterday break below our previous sell trigger line at $1.6, we should be looking for further sells with targets at $1.3. That’s ideally at April lows and my recommendation is to look for shorting signals in the 4HR chart.
