•however we can compromise!!! pony argues just going for the regular red and green while curlys arguing for just different colors PLUS the red and green, they both r too stubborn and now their christmas looks like a paintball gun shot up the place

•their tree was so pathetic, its in an awkward spot in the living room, its so small and kept tipping over so they gave up on it and its just kinda leaning on the wall and stacked up by ponys college books😭😭

•they prolly coulda picked a better tree too, its not like that was the only one left, they were just in a sour mood cause it was cold as shit and wanted to go back home so they picked the first one they saw n dipped, say ts the next morning n just sighed😭

•curlys homesickness shows rarely, and this is one of those times bc angela would joke about putting herself on top of a christmas tree cause she was an “angel”, but they never ever got one, so he took a pic of angela he had and put it on top, hes never admitting he misses that demon tho🙄🙄

•SOMEONE (curly) put the mistletoe above the headboard of their bed thinking they were soooooo slick

•YESSS i will forver bring up haitian fanals i love them theyre so pretty, curly and pony tried making em but they looked so wonky, if u hc them living in an apartment, they couldnt hang them up bc they hand nowhere TO do it so its just chilling on a counter, but they still do light em up!!!

•the lights were so tangled up in the box somehow they genuinely just gave up and threw them up on the wall and said “we’ll get to it later” (they wouldnt)

•if u want them living in a shitty one bedroom, let it b known that they love going around the block seeing the other neighbors decorations and some of them light their houses UP, ik their light bill high as hell and when they didnt have their decorations up they could just feel those houses,,,teasing them,,,,

•ponys sent darry pics of the whole set up and darry could detect about 6 fire code violations, he sighed and showed tim and they accepted what theyve done letting those two move in together, to make the grieving process easier

so the thing is i didn’t have high hopes for this, bc i hated sweetener and people were saying this was like a part 2. and shitting on positions, my favorite ari album, to compare this one. so i’m like i’m gonna hate this. but i am actually so excited bc i like it. i finally have new music to be obsessed w rather than relistening to the same songs over and over.

also just bc i like the album, don’t mean i’m like a homewrecker stan. she gotta chill.

she should’ve kept the red themed cover like i get the message of the new one but it just doesn’t hit the same.

so 90s love it. very aaliyah beat. i love a good 90s r&b moment so ofc this is an automatic like even if the chorus isn’t that catchy. idk ig i just feel like pop should have catchy melodies and/or an infectious beat. y’know? also she ate w/ the belting at the end. 8/10

YASSSSSSS. again we know i love a 90s vibe. the slowdown right before the chorus is insaane. and the choral style harmonies on the “is” of the boy is mine scratches something in my brain as well as the “gotta be a reason why” robotic voice thing. this is so catchy. this is totally a fantasize vibe. so good. 10/10

Heyyyy my bbs, time to write about GREECE 🇬🇷 w our fav boys.

- first Brigid it is so cool that you have a greek friend can she please take me w her lol.

Airports in the morning just have that vibe, lmao I just excited. I usually have pretty early flights and I get there early, like my mom is always anxious for missing flights so we’d be at the airport at like 2:30 am for a 5:30 flight. And I always ask why? I could still sleep.

Ya let’s just say our flight is at 5:30 so we are there at like 3:45 lol idk times. Everybody is groggy or passed out in the car before getting to the airport so they’re just barely awake, other than Ryan, quinton, Dylan me and Kirby? Once we pass security which I will most definitely get beeped on, and find our gate, Ryan and quinton set off to get snacks for the flight. We might send Braden w them to keep Ryan in check lol. Also brigid lucky w the tsa pre check.

Jamie and Brigid just collapse on the chairs and just hold each other, and look a d o r a b l e. I’ll take some photos hehe. You two are just cocooned together.

Kirbs and kesh also cuddle up with each other, Kirby just chilling and playing w kesh’s hair. And kesh just sleeping. I can just see it. Some of the other boys just pull their hoods down and pass out on the chairs as well.

Meanwhile: I need a drink so I go to Starbucks w Quinner and dyl. I’ll get you coffee:) and kesh a stuffed pretzel cuz Ily . Maybe we can get Tims oooo.

I come back and see you passed out w Jamie 🥺 and I just give you your coffee and kesh her pretzel and go find the rest of the boys, because I need some snackssss for the flight. dyl is a bit jealous so he’ll just join us hehe. After that video of quinner I want his beanie so I steal it.

Let’s fast forward to boarding and everyone has gathered. Ryan and quinton have a mountain of snacks, and Brigid and Jamie are still passed out lol.

When they call our seat section all of us are just chaotic and getting our passports. The tickets are random lol so you’ll see who you sit with. Going through the tunnel and into the plane is so fun!!.

Ok on plane pt1.

Seating: Brigid gets lucky and is in a row with both Dylan and Jamie so she’s sandwich’d between them, but that depends on what part of the row you like, aisle, middle or window. Orrr maybe for the plane ride brigid is sitting w dyl this time and w Dylan c or something and Jamie’s trying to get Dylan c to switch seats w him so that he can sit w Brigid as well. Jealous boy....

Kesh and Kirby are automatically sitting together even if they have different assigned seats lol. Idk kesh can you sleep on planes, i never can. Wbu Brigid? So if you can you are still sleeping on Kirby and he’s making sure that you have good leg room and are comfortable.

Hehe maybe to spare Quinners feeling we will sit together in the same row. Maybe Ryan can sit w us and behind brigids row cuz the chirps never stop y’all. Since i never sleep on planes maybe Quinner falls asleep on me and I can play w his hair 🥺

hehe sorry for the late response, i had a big history assignment i had to finish last night. anyways, long post ahead

ok i want to go to greece so bad bc it’s sooooo pretty, so going with the canada boys is like a dream. whenever my friend goes i try to convince her to let me come with but she won’t lol

yesss the airports in the early morning have the best vibes, bc there’s barely anyone there and you can do basically whatever you want. haha my dad’s the same, we have to be to the airport like 3 hours before our flight and our flights are usually at like 5:30 am. and i’m just like why? there’s barely anyone there, plus we have pre-check so we can get through really fast

anywayssss yes we’d get to the airport at like 3:30 so pretty much everyone is super tired and like about to fall asleep. and then we have to go through security and a bunch of us would get beeped lol. and i won’t have precheck bc my dad wouldn’t be there lol so i have to go through normal security with all of you guys, which i haven’t done in ages so i don’t even remember what to do lmao. don’t you have to like take your shoes off?

so once we all finally get through, we have to go find our gate so we can put all our stuff down. side note: do you guys check you bags? i never do bc both times my siblings have checked bags stuff got broken so now i just bring a carry-on suitcase and a duffel that i can put under the seat. anywayssss once all our stuff is set down ryan and quinton have to go get snacks and then braden decides to go with. honestly i feel like quinton would be the one keeping them in check lol while the other two are just going crazy with the food

meanwhile, me and jamie are just sleeping over by our gate. like usually i’m the one who’s super hyper for the morning flights, but since my swim practice keep getting pushed back later i probably wouldn’t go to bed til like 1 am the night before so i would be really tired lol. plus jamie would be wearing one of his hoodies and i would also be wearing one of his that i stole and he would be so warm that i would just fall asleep with him and we’re just cocooned together 🥺 also yes please take pictures i need a new phone background

and then kesh and kirby are just chilling together, kesh is passed out on kirby and kirby’s just playing with her hair while she sleeps bc he’s responsible so he actually went to bed early the night before lol. and some of the other guys just pull their hoods over their eyes so they can sleep 

then there’s you and quinner and dyl who are still tired but not enough to sleep, so you guys go to get coffee, either tims or starbucks depending on if we’re in canada or the states. and then you can get kesh her stuffed pretzel and then coffee for me, haha unpopular opinion i usually drink my coffee black. so then you can leave the pretzel and coffee for kesh and i and then you quinner and dyl go leave to find the other guys bc you want food lmao. good thing ryan isn’t there or else the two of you would be waking me and jamie up just to chirp us lol. anywayssss then while you guys are going to catch up with the other you steal quinner’s beanie and he spends a good 10 min trying to get it back before he just gives in and lets you keep it 😂

hehe then when it’s finally time to board it’s just chaos like trying to wake everyone up and get all your stuff and making sure everyone has passports. and then we’re all trying to carry all the snacks onto the plane bc there are so many, and everyone else is just staring at us lmao

so then once we get on the plane it’s even more chaos all trying to find our seats and everyone’s switching seats so they can sit with who they want to lol. and then i’m in a row with dyl but jamie’s not in our row, so he’s begging cozens to switch seats with him and ends up paying him like $50 just to switch lmao. so then i’m between dyl and jamie bc i really don’t care which seat i have and i’d probably be watching a movie (if we have them, idk my dad has a tonnnn of points saved up from traveling for work so we usually can get first class tickets free) bc i can never sleep on planes. and then kesh and kirby are automatically together, everyone would switch seats if they needed to have the two of them together bc they’re literally #couplegoals. and kirby’s just trying to make sure kesh is comfy and that she can sleep if she wants to. and then we have lexi in a row with quinner and ryan, and ofc they have to sit behind me for the sole purpose of lexi and ryan chirping me the entire fucking flight. but then quinner’s still tired even tho he drank like 3 coffees, so he falls asleep on lexi and lexi plays with his hair 🥺 and then half the other boys are already asleep again, like i don’t understand how they sleep sm? i could never

I am still waiting though for her to pick a song that will be like BOOM explosion... wow how amazing! I feel like she is capable of a lot more and she’s holding back a bit... however, she did do some deep notes, it was super soulful and beautiful, I enjoyed that!

- aw man I know it’s never going to happen but I am getting sort of wistful and teary-eyed over this pirate (cough cough I mean legally sanctioned privateer of course) AU that’s going entirely to waste

- ooooooooooooh that is so good, using the last chapter + epilogue to show how the... idk moral wound I guess laurence received victory of eagles has finally healed, that’s so reassuring. he just wants to do good things for good causes and can’t be badgered, cajoled, threatened or convinced to do anything less anymore and it’s all so sweet and well earned. that’s some good development through this book too, from ‘tenzing I cannot trust myself’ to this. excellent stuff

- while I did quite enjoy this book for the character moments it is incredibly weirdly structured? like the beginning drags a bit with the quite uninteresting colony politics and stuff but then they’re finally travelling and then... nothing really happens plot wise before the sea serpents freak the fuck out at the end there lol. I’m mostly a character-oriented reader tho so I’m pretty fine with it.

ETA: actually now that I think about it I’d say that my biggest gripe with this book is that it doesn’t engage at all with the perspective of the native australian people? even though one of the dragons settles down with one group? god knows it’s not like there was no time to dive into it, considering all that time spent in the fucking wilderness lol

we’re going to the inca empire next tho apparently fuck YEAH!!! that’s such an underexplored and extremely interesting part of history, my body is Ready

In which Kit, a music nerd, rants a lil about Ateez music (and how good it is).

The greatest thing is that they fucking trick you, like they just change the song whenever they want and switch back and you’re like shit okay. Like in Dancing like butterfly wings,, it’s like a pop rock almost ballad like singalong vibes around a campfire with hints of stronger rock. And then for the rap verses they just go full hip hop for like 4 bars and then they’re back to singalong??? And it WORKS. Idk how they got it to work but it’s great.

They spice it up in Utopia too like it starts chill then it builds up to a dance beat and you’re like cool so it’s a dance bop, but then they dial it back for the end and suddenly you’re crying. And my favourite thing is that they add very musical things that are often missed in pop music. Like for pop songs you tend not to use a lot of chords, might throw in one different one for a bridge but often they keep it simple enough. (The main groups who avert this I find are skz which is one of the reasons I love their music sm). But they went fuck it let’s go for a chromatic minor bridge. So they chilled out the synths and had the first run with chest voice then the second with falsetto and yesss. Also the high falsetto runs?? Beautiful.

They tricked us in Aurora aswell.. I thought it’d be an ateez r&b chill song but it was actually quite poppy and I love it. Like the chill verses and a slightly bigger chorus. Gives me kind BTS Save Me vibes. Also strings are always a yess I love it.

MINGI IN THE CHORUS IS A FANTASTIC IDEA IN EVERY WAY. Having that deep strong voice is amazing for a poppy chorus like illusion and wave like yes. Pentagon do it sometimes too by putting wooseok in the chorus but it’s not done enough!!! Ateez do it great.. same in Hala Hala and some others too. Also seonghwa has that voice too and shares with Mingi thank you seonghwa

The wave bridge man!! I love a good ateez bridge and this one is great. Wave really is the summer bop and the bridge and last chorus... we love a singalong.

Matt pitches H*omecoming Sequel Post 1

so today and most of this week I’ve had Crackle on my P*S4 just to watch a sorta nostalgic cartoon based around my muse’s adventures in high school (not the one prefaced with U/ltima*ate). that series is titled Spectacular, much like a run of his comics between the 70′s and 80′s.

and there are some issues, things better left unsaid or never explored in it that just ended up happening, but it took itself as seriously as it had to. just, no more serious than the movie franchise that had just ended a year prior to the show’s premiere.

in this show, every episode is only a half hour long, and it ran for two seasons (it had a buildup for things to come in a possible third season and onward, but then D*sn/ey bought M/arv*el and S/ony still owned most of everything S/pider-M*an, other medium adaptations included, and i guess somehow the writers and studio just decided to can the series on some major cliffhangers). Roughly about 26-30 episodes. again, every episode gave its little precursors to the next one, or one to follow later on, usually in an ending scene, or midway thru every few episodes. this gave the show depth that superhero dramas like Smallville and its CW successors of today express in their stories, but to hell with that, S/pectac*ular S*pid/ey did it best!

this show grounded Peter in realism, showed you his high school. Midtown was a magnet high school, and was addressed on letterman wear as M^3 (Midtown Manhattan Magnet, or for a science pun, M to the third power, or cubed, tee-hee). that’s right, MCU was not the first to show you Peter’s class of supporting civilian characters at his school, this animated series was. 

some things to note:

L/iz Al*len was Latina

G/wen S*tacy was, for better or worse, represented as P/eter’s equal, a nerdy girl in glasses, but by S2′s finale (spoilers from this point on) she ditched the eyewear, and I think either grew out her hair in an impressively short time, or otherwise it had been in ponytails or partially in a bun Idk the show just ran with it to give the unexpected ending some images to relate it even more so to comics

M/ary J*ane existed but only ever was P*ete/r’s fall fling date, and a close friend, nothing more

Fe/licia H*ardy was simply B/la*ck C/at in this, but she’s connected to P/ete as her father was B*en’s killer, and when that’s revealed, she’s never seen again

Ed/di*e B/ro*ck was around for most of the show both as a college student who assists P/ete, G*wen, and the C*onn/ors family in an ESU biochem/engineering lab; he gives off a sorta play cousin vibe, like he and P/ete go back a long way, and it’s nice to not see him as the jerk who eats Pe/ter’s dust in the Bugle

with that being said, he does bond with V*en/om in a unique way different than he has from past adaptations, or the original comic origin. in fact, he was obsessed with knowing how it ticks the moment he’s given Dr. C/onn*ors’ approval to help observe and give reports on the alien life form’s behavior(s). when S/pidey returns the symbiote to containment, and thinks chilling it to a frozen state will stop it from tacking onto anyone else, Ed/war*d heats it back up to its normal temp, unlocks containment, and WHAM! time to exact revenge on the enemies he just found out are one and the same.

anyways, B/rock and P/arker parents were lab partners, but what they did exactly wasn’t given much explanation. they just hint at this so as to make people aware that M*ay and B/en are not to be confused as P/ete’s parents (y’know, in case anyone would be S*pidey inept)

H/arry Os*born was Goblin first, but N*orm reveals it was part of his plan, so you get a gripping O/bo*rn family soap opera in a tv-y7 rated program. hellz to da yesss!

while L*iz in MCU has a father who’s a villain, that isn’t canon anywhere else; however, her brother becomes Molten Man, a self-destructive decoy to keep S/pid*ey off of G/oblin’s trail as he tries to create a criminal empire in Manhattan

everything else isn’t too noteworthy, id say watch or buy it if you’re interested

also, this show was simply, during its short run, kept within the world of S/pider-M*an, so there were no S/H/I/E/L/D, F*4, or other M/arv*el crossovers.

now, why do I say this mumbo jumbo about a show when i title this my personal pitch for a H*omecoming sequel? bc the existence of Br*ock and the Os*borns is still a very crucial thing to be hopefully adapted by MCU somewhere down the line along with the real MJ and maybe even JJ J*ameson and an Un*cle B/en flashback scene.

my pitch is as follows:

perhaps introduce Br/ock in a similar manner as the aforementioned show, but def adapt a believable Os/born family for H*ome/coming 2.

I at first liked the inclusion of H*arry in the TASM franchise, but I quickly got pissed that he was made the villain so soon.

so simply make him the rich kid he is in the above mentioned series, but like, give him the common role Fl/ash Th*ompson has had in the past. jock with a heart of gold, and maybe stretching himself a bit thin in multiple extracurricular programs to give him this lovable sense of ‘i can do anything.’ also, to further his rich boy stats, give him a car that puts Fl/ash’s dad’s wrecked sports car to shame. and maybe not let H*arry carry the goblin mantle, but have him disagree with F/lash on S/pider-M*an???? idk...

write in Ed/ward Br*ock as childhood friend of Pe/ter, but have him be riddled with mental instability, a ruined childhood, abandonment issues, and a similar passion for science like his friend, or at least give him some harmless hobby or subject he excels in prior to his likely ascension into villainy.

with Pet/er likely going to space for In*finity W/ar, establish that he’ll unknowingly bring home the symbiotic substance on his person.

perhaps make this a subtle suspenseful thriller with both Symb*iote S/pidey and V*enom, give it PG-13 teen horror vibes and a fall 2019 release????

explore the existence of the c-list rogues, non-powered thug villains, perhaps give them motivations to steal from OS/CORP, which can be represented as a new rival to S/tark Ind*ustries. this could provide buildup for Nor*man to want to become Goblin in a possible third installment.

most importantly tho, give us Mary Goddamn Jane Watson
