This is what sets us apart from other Ice Cream shops. We make all our ice creams but we make it with all Natural ingredients. Today we toasted Hazelnuts and then made Hazelnut Butter which we folded into our dark chocolate ice cream. It took about and hour where as if we had used Hazelnut flavor it would have been a 10 minute job. Same with Ginger which we hand peel and purée. It’s not a mystery that potential business purchaser are scared as they think that we have big shoes to fill. On February 1st 1988, We signed a lease for this place located on East Greenwich St., right around the corner from Jumbar’s Cafe in Bethlehem, Pa. The Monthly Rent was $500 per month to start for what was essentially a two car garage. In spite of some not so well wishers who told us we will be out of business in six months we managed to stay here for eight years. In February 1996, My wife and I purchased the former Kostas Drug Store after being turned down by multiple local banks. However, several kind people helped us find financing to purchase this property where we have thrived for the last 25 years. We built a good retail and wholesale business to allow us to educate our children, help our families and travel the world. However, it is now time for us to pass the baton to the next dreamer- I say that and the rest additional information above as advice to chase your dreams - don’t give up and learn to persevere. Some days you only feel like simple flavors ! That’s OK as long as you get the best like our Pure Madagascar Vanilla bean or Espresso as shown in the picture. We only use Natural High Quality Ingredients to make all our ice creams. That makes our job easy. Note that we do not use wild deep and dark colors and nor do we use artificial flavorings. There you now have our secret formula. Then again we also specialize in the unusual and exotic. Shown are our Cardamom Kulfi and Saffron Pistachio. However we have made and continue to make things not available at any other ice cream stores. As long as we are able to get the Natural Ingredients. We are a Foodie Go to and folks drive for hours to get here. However, we do have our limitations too. Right now we won’t let you into our beautiful store and will only sell you hand packed pints at curbside pickup. We won’t sell you any sundaes, milkshakes, small cones etc. Sorry for our very cautious stand but we have our reasons. Pictured is one of the most exotic fruits in the world! Yes the world. I bet you only a handful of you know what this is. Ok Ok it’s called Malabar Plum, Or Java Plum, or Black Plum or Jamun or Jambolan. It’s a tropical fruit and my favorite. When I was young living in Africa, we used to climb large trees to pick this fruit. So last weekend Ro and I were at an Indian market in NJ in search for Fresh Custard Item when the regular vendor told me about the arrival of Purée of this fruit. Mind you it’s not cheap but at least it’s available. We have seen this fruit growing in the West Palm Beach and Caribbean Island too.! So you guessed it - we just made some Jambu Ice Cream. So don’t rush over as yet as it won’t be ready till tomorrow. It will be on our web site tomorrow to order. Sorry, we can’t give you a sample - you are just going to have to TRUST us. A first for us - We made our first batch of Pumpkin in August- unheard of as Normally we wait till October! However, these are different times and we can’t be business as usual. When we saw all the big boys advertising the Pumpkin stuff we decided to get on it. For those of you who haven’t had our Pumpkin ice cream - it’s the best because we don’t skimp. We also don’t skimp when we hand pack your weight and weigh it to our minimum. We also make Fresh small Batches everyday. We have to as we do not have a walk in freezer to stock months of Ice Cream. We make and sell our ice cream batches within days. Nobody in the area beats that. So fresh you can taste it. We are sorry for selling out of Our Famous Baileys Irish Cream so quickly. I think we are going to have to put a limit so everyone can have some. We will make a batch soon. Dark Chocolate Hazelnut is getting low too. Talk about taste it we hear some of our customers are having taste off with their neighbours who bring in their favourite ice cream. It’s an eye opener for their neighbours. Anyhoo, there are some people who won’t support us no matter what. To them we say OH WELL! More for the rest of us. Also as we have been closing two days a week we take an opportunity to discover things locally, before the weather closes us in, as our City Hall Picture shows. Finally one of our previous employees and friends to us and our family, Kathy Bachofer (Scott) brought us a fashion Accessory!
