Growing up in a galaxy far, far away.....

If you truly know me --- or actually know me at all, you know that Star Wars was, is, and will always be a huge part of the weird human I am. Yes, as a kid I had Barbies, Polly Pockets, and all the other very stereotypical girl toys, but because my dad is as equally weird as me and I am the direct product of him (sorry mom idk where your genes went), I also had countless Star Wars action figures and more lightsabers than most boys. If you don't know the exhilarating sound of over-passing TIE fighters or why the line “Luke, I am your father” was so cinematically mind blowing than I sincerely pity you. Growing up with these movies is, I believe, one of my mom and dad’s greatest accomplishments as parents. My dad has always told me “never think you are too cool for anything,” which is one reason why I have no problem writing this post in the first place. Because no matter how cool you think you are, you will never be ‘epic song starts playing every time you enter a room’ cool. (I really hope you all know who that is referring to.) All kids should get the chance to become a space nerd & I highly recommend they do!! :) So, if you’d like to challenge me in some Star Wars trivia, I honestly dare you to try because “I find your lack of faith disturbing.” To get to the point of this extremely geeky post, today is the day to celebrate all the Jedi and kick-ass princesses in the galaxy.  May the 4th be with you. :)
