the long-time staff, and Marz!* (* imagine marz however you like- the only two constants are their height, and them having purple hair and a side shave with a pattern in it!)
staff frequently mix and match their uniform pieces, seen here with liam and jeremy! management really could not care less, as long as it's the official uniform pieces.
there's also no gender-specific clothing rules, and as noted, all accessories are optional.
the band members (new and old) are the only uniforms actively kept in-stock, but the daycare attendant and DJMM both have uniforms based on them too. the mentioned 'standard' uniform in the fic is based on the S.T.A.F.F bots!
#AOOP au#yes liam is wearing clementine's hat from twd btw lmao#he prefers liam- but he came in wearing that one day#with his kid (cassie!) in tow#and now the staff all call him lee#he's accepted his fate and just thinks it's funny#hell wears- prescription!- neon yellow contacts lol#sarah and steven's hair colour is based on the manic panic Electric Banana shade lmao#very rarely she'll come in with glasses- her actual eye colour is grey#the jacket is literally just based on that one GT merch one bc i happen to own that jacket#you can also buy a dedicated raincoat based on captain's jacket#as shown here the staff can wear whatever tf shoes they want#also yes that Is jeremy f as in That jeremy f#i've had my au since before people knew the second game was a prequel lmao

12:30 PM Checkup [Zayne + Son ★ 767 words ★ Masterlist ★ Series Index ★ AO3] Zayne has an appointment with a very adorable doctor. A/N: Maybe I’m ovulating or something lmao but I want this man’s babies. But since he’s fictional, I’ll settle for writing little self-indulgent ficlets. 🫠
It was one of Zayne’s very few days off, and unfortunately, he found himself at the doctor’s office for a routine checkup. It was fortunate, however, that the doctor was someone he was very familiar with and trusted completely with his health. As a matter of fact, the very esteemed doctor was his three-year-old son and the so-called doctor’s office was his son’s bedroom.
He watched with amusement as the little boy, a spitting image of his father minus the hair color, adjusted his doctor play clothes. Zayne could barely contain his chuckle when his son put on the faux round-rimmed glasses and walked over to him holding a clipboard while maintaining a comically stoic expression on his young face.
“Patient’s name isDaddy!” the young doctor declared, looking expectantly at his patient.
Zayne chuckled and nodded. “Correct, Doctor.”
“I have to listen to Daddy’s heart,” the little boy said, holding up his toy stethoscope. He pressed the toy to his father’s chest, and looked thoughtful as he “listened” to the grown man’s heart. After a few seconds, he nodded approvingly. “Heart is good, Daddy.”
Zayne sighed in relief. “Thank goodness, Doctor.” He blinked in surprise as his son pulled out a reflex hammer.
“Daddy’s knee now!”
Over the next few minutes, the young doctor performed a thorough examination on his patient, checking his ear, eyes, throat, and so on, all while diligently scribbling his notes down onto his clipboard. He rubbed his chin thoughtfully as he reviewed the notes from the wellness exam.
“Well, Doctor,” Zayne started, looking at the young boy expectantly, “Is there a diagnosis?”
The boy nodded grimly. “Daddy is tired.”
Zayne held back his laugh at the child’s acute observation. “What would be your prescription for such an ailment then?”
“One strawberry candy every day,” his doctor replied, adding another scribble to his clipboard.
Zayne actually chuckled this time. “Consider it done.” His voice took on a serious tone as he looked at the little doctor concerned. “Doctor, I believe my insurance isn’t covered under your practice. May I use an alternative payment?”
The young doctor looked thoughtful as he rubbed his chin again before holding up three chubby fingers, answering with a serious expression, “Three macarons.”
“Outrageous!” Zayne exclaimed, mock-offended, “My previous checkup only costed me one box of apple juice.”
Zayne wondered belatedly if his tone and expression might have seemed a touch stiff when he realized his doctor was starting to tear up. He knelt down to his son’s level and wiped at the boy’s eyes, apologizing softly, “I didn’t mean to upset you. Daddy is just joking.” He smiled when his son calmed down and he rubbed the boy’s cheek affectionately, “Three macarons it is, but I am afraid payment will have to be postponed until after naptime.”
“No nap!” The boy crossed his arms defiantly. “I still have to check Mr. Seal and Pan-Pan and the Windy Carrots and—”
“Even doctors take naps,” Zayne interrupted with a firm voice before softening it again, “One might even argue that doctors enjoy naps the most.”
The boy looked up at him dejected. “Do you nap, Daddy?”
“Yes,” Zayne answered with a nod as he helped his son remove the doctor costume and put away some of the toys. He gathered his son into his arms as he carried the little boy to his bed. “Sometimes I nap in my car or office in between surgeries.” He tucked his son into bed, kissing his cheek. “Now, won’t you be a good boy and take your nap for Daddy?”
“Story?” his son gave him the most pitiful pout a three-year-old can muster.
Zayne sighed, half-exasperated and half-amused. “You are just like your mother,” he muttered to himself before sitting down on the edge of the boy’s bed. “Alright, one story.”
Zayne outstretched his hand, conjuring up snowy imageries as he spun a tale with evil carrots that had taken over an innocent kingdom. Thankfully, one brave seal stood up against this evil force and taken them down along with help from Happy Snowman and its friends.
The boy watched the snowy scenery with rapt fascination as it changed following Zayne’s storytelling. As Zayne neared the end of his impromptu story, he noticed his son’s sleepy face, catching sight of a yawn escaping. He smiled to himself and quickly wrapped up the story as he re-tucked the sleepy boy into bed.
“Sweet dreams,” Zayne whispered, kissing the top of his son’s head as the little boy finally dozed off, “When you wake up, Daddy will take you and Mommy out for macarons.”

Do you have any random spooky month headcanons you want to share? This is an excuse to go on a rant about any sort of spooky month stuff that's been rattiling in your brain.
my brainrot is strong and I rlly like your headcanons so jhdskfhg
Firstly - thank you omg
Second! I have a bunch of headcanons but unfortunately my brain has decided to dump them all into a box and put them on a shelf I can't reach, so I'm just going to ramble about whatever
People almost never talk about Streber having technical know-how and I'm mad about that
Like the camera mirror is so clever, how long did that take to plan? How'd he come up with it?? Did he make the cape himself or did he get someone else to do it???
Also talked about this with @interdimensionalvoid a bit but I love the idea that Streber hates being babied, he is independent and wants to be scene as such
Another reason it sucks for him to be down an arm lmao
I don't want this to entirely be about Streber soo headcanon lightning round:
Radford is actually colorblind and his glasses are color corrective. Them resembling 3D glasses is just a funny coincidence
I keep flip-flopping between Dexter adopting cats as a buffer if he goes without work for a while vs him having one cat that he absolutely adores and would never harm because both sound really good
Rick is acquainted with most of the town bc of his job hopping
Also if Rick's in the mood for it he tells really good jokes
Frank has low empathy and is v selfish
He does genuinely care for Skid and Pump tho, and still cares for his old friend group (even if the only one he sees nowadays is Lila if he's lucky)
Also yes I'm not over the idea of them all being friends there is so much p o t e n t i a l
Jaune has ADHD and her husband has autism. Ross has... something, haven't figured it out yet
As an addendum to the above, all the Hatz are neurodivergent
The cult broke the thieves out of jail when they broke Bob out of jail, as a "yeah why not, they could be useful" thing. They gave the two an amulet to keep track of them and Fat Thief wears it under his sweater, not knowing he really shouldn't
They tried to pawn it off but the pawn shop just would not accept it for some reason
Dexter's funky eye is genetic and also a lazy eye. Both his glasses and goggles are prescription and even though it's technically fixed he still wears them
The Hobomen are army deserters. They probably could have found a job in town, but being hobos was more enticing
Shotty once tried to teach John's daughter how to use a shotgun and John nearly capped him for it
Speaking of her, she's friends with Robert's little sister! They're a Skid and Pump-esque duo and frequently get into Mischief
I have more but I'm still struggling to reach the box!! I'm open to headcanon dumping anytime though, just ask :>

Chow hcs: (1)Youngest of 2 or 3. Feels no reason to stand out cus he grew up not feeling noticed anyways. Helga Pataki-type parents who treated him like he was Just There. Moved out immediately. (2)Sunglasses are perscription. He wore glasses as a kid and got bullied for looking like a nerd. (3) Is silently panicking everytime supernatural bs happens.
(1) oh yeah definitely, he's definitely the youngest. Not feeling noticed is so sad yet so accurate. I don't know who Helga Pataki (oh she's from Hey Arnold. I've never seen Hey Arnold) but yeah I definitely think he moved out as soon as he graduated high school/turned eighteen, he'd rather do his own thing and figure shit out on his own then continue being ignored in his own home.
(2) sunglasses are definitely prescription, it's my personal hc that he's got really shit vision and had those big thick bug eye glasses growing up and definitely got bullied for it. I hc that he has really bad light sensitivity and he gets migraines pretty bad because of it, which is why he wears sunglasses and doesn't do contact or anything. He gets migraines that knock him out for hours if not days at a time, but he can bounce back if he has his pills for it. He's got big black out curtains on every window in his apartment so he can live in the dark without having to wear his sunglasses 24/7.
(3) lmao YES! He's like 'I did not sign up for this shit' he did not agree to work for a dragon or do any of the bullshit he got dragged into. He was there for the pay check at The Dark Hand and as soon as shit started getting weird he wanted to peace out of there so fast (and got stuck and subsequently stayed for all that shit seasons 1-4)
Chow worked at a Sunglass Hut or something out of high school and yeah it was fine, but it was retail, and he was good at his job but it was still soul sucking, so when his friend or coworker told him about these "easy as shit" protection jobs where all they had to do was stand in warehouse and make sure no one steals these crates he JUMPED on the opportunity. And that's how he ended up working for The Dark Hand.
Besides school and going to the arcade, Chow did Taekwondo in high school, and once higher ups at The Dark Hand and Valmont realized that yeah he might be a short and skinny guy but he's actually really good in a fight they started sending him on more hands on things, intimidation and debt collecting and those sorts of things, moving up the ranks and getting more well known.

Finding Salome, or why the Met probably never wants me to come back
So I decided kind of on a lark to go to the Met yesterday (despite already being fairly tired and achy) and it was largely to go see the Japanese religious art currently on rotation, but then I remembered Salome.
Now, my What We Do In The Shadows pals will recognize Henri Regnault's Salome as the painting that was used for the basis of the Nadja painting in the show.
I'd seen photos of the painting before, but WWDITS was admittedly what got me to pay real attention to it. But... I mean, it's a beautiful painting. The fabric work is just genuinely exquisite, and I've really come to love it.
So when I'm told that one of the big galleries is closed for renovations so I'll have to go through European Paintings to get to the Asian art wing, I'm like excellent, I'll go visit Nadja.
I am cheerful at this point. I am making friends with all the docents, who are happy to point this overgrown toddler with a pink sparkly cane to where she wants to go.
(I.. had just come from brunch at the Barbie Cafe and had my overnight backpack and was giving big First Day At School vibes.)
But then I get to the European paintings and I am confused. Okay, I get why there's the giant line of people. The Karl Lagerfeld thing or whatever. But why are all these galleries on the other side roped off? They're all listed as open online.
I meander my way through the area, enjoying the art and getting increasingly nervous as I realize a lot of galleries are roped off, and it doesn't look like it's for temporary clean-up or something. And then I get to the back and!!! heartbreak!!!
hopes!!! dashed!!
Being real with you guys, I have very shitty vision and I know that doesn't look that far, but I could barely see it.
(-13 glasses prescription gang rise up)
So... I immediately start asking for help. First I ask the nearest security guard. "Why ropes??? Where Salome?????" I said, but like. Nicely and politely and more eloquently than that.
HE DIDN'T KNOW. He said he wasn't sure, but maybe there wasn't enough security to man all the galleries and the Karl Lagerfeld exhibit.
(KARL LAGERFELD, I thought, DEAD AS FUCK AND STILL RUINING THE FAT GIRLIES' LIVES.)
He told me that he wasn't sure what was going on, but that I should go find his supervisor, who was wearing a gray suit. I did look for this supervisor, but couldn't find him. But I start asking around. A few other security guards. Two different docents.
The second docent feels bad for me because at this point I am just like ;o; salomeeee
She tells me I can sit down in her seat (thank you ma'am) and she'll ask around. She comes back, though, and tells me that she still doesn't know and I should go down to the info desk on the first floor.
(She also tells me that maybe I can tell my teacher what happened and I'll be okay. "Teacher?" I ask. "For school," she said, assuming that this was all for some assignment. Then she pauses, and hazards. "Or maybe a professor?" "Oh no, this isn't for school; I just really want to see the painting," I said, and silently added, and also I am 33. I realize at this point that I actually do look like an infant today lmao.)
So... I go down to the info desk. I ask one person. She does not know what I'm talking about. Literally all like... 6-7 people I have asked at this point have been like "idk?? it's supposed to be open??"
She gets a different info desk guy. He's like, well, I guess security roped it off. (??? yes I know that part, I'm asking why and if it'll get UNroped at some point.) And I am like. Sir. I have come all this way to see this painting. (This is not actually the case but it was definitely starting to feel that way.) Sir. No, I cannot come back in a few days. I am going back to California. (Not.... strictly untrue, if misleading.)
He says, somewhat kindly, that once he went all the way to the UK to see a painting and it wasn't on display, so he knows it sucks. So I bring up the the website. I show him that it says that Salome is indeed on display.
He says, I'll make some calls. So he goes away and comes back and tells me that he spoke to security ("the gray suit man..." I think) and it has indeed been roped off for the whole day and can I come back tomorrow? "no," I say, in a lot of pain and genuinely near tears at this point, "I go home in a few hours."
(This man thinks, oh, to California. I am actually going home to Philadelphia, but I am indeed flying to California in a few days to live with my parents like I do every summer while it's too hot for me to safely live on the east coast. Chronic illness life, etc.)
So... the guy pulls a ticket voucher out of his coat. He gives me a ticket for free admission that does not expire. "This is all I can do," he says.
I take the ticket.
I am so depressed at this point. I did not come here only to see Salome, but I really wanted to see her. And now I desperately wanted to see her. It just felt so unfair, somehow, to rope off all these paintings that people could have come from all over the world to see just so dead-ass Karl Lagerfeld could soak up all the security. Like... you just charged me $30 admission to this museum! The fact that you couldn't hire enough security to start with feels like a sham! Isn't this exact shit the kind of stuff the Met Gala is supposed to pay for in the first place? Isn't it supposed to fundraise to put together these exhibits and fund the Costume Institute? They raised $17 million last year! Can they not afford their own fucking security?
I digress.
So I trudge back up through the European paintings hall to go see the Asian art on the second floor. I glare at the Karl Lagerfeld line. I decide to go for one more far-away look at Salome.
So I go. And I look. And there, on the far side of the gallery, I notice movement by the other door.
I see someone get on the elevator.
And I'd known there was an elevator back there, but I kind of assumed it was inaccessible to the general public now. But the person who got on the elevator looked like they were probably a tourist. Like me!!
So I look at my map and see that there's another way to the particular room Salome is in, and it's through... I shit you not, the Iran/Ottoman wing.
(lmao)
I immediately rush off to find Nadja through The Nandor Wing and it's actually a very lovely part of the museum that a lot of people skip but I was in no mind to be normal about it.
But I find my way through the wing, moving admittedly a lot more slowly at this point, and -- SUCCESS.
I still cannot get into the room, but I can get a hell of a lot closer. Especially if I just kinda. Lean over the ropes a little.
This isn't as crowded a part of the museum, being honest, and not many people come by as I'm marveling at Salome.
(Look, I've been trying to see this painting for over an hour. I'm going to take my time with it.)
I do at one point hear a guy behind me say, "Oh, can we not go in here?"
"NO," I say. "They won't let anyone in. I've asked like five times."
It's said like a joke, and it's also untrue. I have asked a lot more than five times.
I turn to laugh with this guy and make room for him to come up to the ropes and see in and then I see him
behind us
A MAN IN A GRAY SUIT.
I see the badge on him and I know exactly who he is. He is waiting to get on the elevator and he is looking at me with recognition and exhaustion in his eyes.
I realize then that he has just seen me hanging half of my entire fucking body over the ropes so I could get a better picture.
I look at him. He looks at me.
He gets on the elevator.
I go back to taking selfies with Salome.
Look at this pleased with herself bitch. lmao
FORREAL THO, wwdits fan or not you should go look at that painting if you ever have the chance. It is SO shiny and it really does look like she's wearing golden clothing. It's so pretty, I looked at that skirt for ages.
Anyway, after this I eventually went to the Asian art wing, only to find that I'd been given incorrect information and there wasn't an accessible route on this floor at all.
I never had to enter European Paintings to start with. :')
#don't worry I was careful not to get too close to that other painting on the wall#I was Salome-mad not careless lmao#I did get to go see the asian art btw#limited Japanese collection tbh but worth seeing#there is ONE elevator that will get you into the asian art wing#and it's tucked away over by the temple of dendur#so my ex-egyptologist ass kind of fell down the rabbit hole there but oh well#the rest of the asian art wing was really lovely too I loved seeing the Jain temple in particular#wwdits#the metropolitan museum of art

went to the optometrist, thinkin’ about robot glasses
got my new glasses today :)
because I’m a nerd I got energon blue colour cat eye frames (also provides maximum old gay energy) and a pair of round frames which make me look like Rung LMAO
but it got me thinking about designer frames and branded frames, like they always do the coolest ones for kids only, with like metallic rainbow shit on them (it looks cool as hell!!!)
but it would be fun to have actual Transformers glasses
so I looked it up and of course they exist but are only kid frames!!! why can’t adults have fun things too. :(
BUT THEN I FOUND THESE and apparently they come in adult size as well!
they also make non-prescription sunglasses ones, mostly just for kids
the sunglasses above seem kinda low effort to me for a branded item, like yes the autobot symbols are cool but it would be fun to have ones that were like, yellow with black stripes like Bumblebee’s alt-mode or something to go with the yellow lenses, make it a little more Bumblebee themed, especially since these are for kids but IDK
they do have Transformers branded “normal” frames but they also look kinda plain so IDK but then I’m so gay I just got glittery blue cat eye glasses as an adult man so hey everyone has their own style
these are for kids but it’s a subtle look, these are pretty standard frames with some Optimus Prime red and blue elements. I love the Autobot symbols on the sides, though!!!
but yes!!! Transformers glasses. needs more variety/adult frames. but very cool that they exist!
also my prescription slightly changed so I’m still getting used to looking at shit and my depth perception is so bad right now lmao oh nooo so please excuse any typos I am doin my best while the screen looks all weird <3

i'm tired of wearing glasses (i just wanna lie sideways on my bed to watch my tv shows) and all your answers are convincing me of having them prescribed next month when i have my appointment. any other advantages to further convince me? <3
YES YES ABSOLUTELY LET ME CONVERT YOU!! Ultimately, the best thing about contacts (in my opinion) is that 99.9% of the time you don’t even have to think about them because they make it feel like you don’t need any help seeing at all. You put in the contacts and then forget about them until bedtime. It’s about keeping it LOW-MAINTENANCE baby!!
For a more in depth understanding of why I think contacts are by far the superior visual aid device, see below the cut (bc I’m apparently just so passionate about the wonders of contacts that this got way too long lmao)
Comfort: As you mentioned in your ask, glasses greatly limit your maneuverability, especially (but not only) when it comes to finding a comfy spot to lie down in:( Contrast this with contacts, which come with no such hindrances!!! I've seen some people say they find contacts uncomfortable, but you should not feel your contacts at all while you're wearing them!! The first time I tried on contacts at my optometrist's office I said "I can feel these in my eyes, I don’t really like it." and my optometrist said "oh ok try these on instead" and gave me a thinner brand that I could not feel even a little bit once I put them in. Like I put the first one in and then wondered if I had accidentally dropped it on the ground because I couldn’t feel anything. I did once have to wear the thicker contacts for like a week because I couldn't get my actual brand, and I stopped feeling them after a day or two, so even if your contacts start out uncomfortable, you can get used to them if thinner contacts are for some reason not an option.
Compare that to glasses, which can slip and slide up and down your nose, which need to be constantly readjusted, which can fall off completely, which can get sweaty and greasy, which can dig into the tops of your ears and your temples even when you’re not laying on them funny, which leave indents on your skin if you wear them for too long. Maybe not a big deal to some people, but still a completely unnecessary irritant.
Visibility: No fogging up. No finger prints. No streaks. No scratches or dirt or cracks. No rain or water droplets impeding your vision. NO GLARE WHEN YOU'RE LOOKING AT A SCREEN. Have you ever cried while wearing both glasses and mascara? I have. That mascara will run and every time you blink your lashes will act like a little paintbrush, coating the inside of your lens with black gunk and if you let it dry there, good fucking luck!! That shit will be there until fucking rapture day!!!! Contacts move with your eye, so your peripheral vision is just as clear as the stuff directly in front of you. Also, contacts are more precise, so you’re actually getting a better fitting prescription, too.
Utility: I always wanted contacts, but I only convinced my parents to let me start wearing them instead of glasses when I told them it would be too hard for me to play softball with glasses on (which I was right about by the way). You're never going to get rid of your contacts by moving too quickly or shaking your head too hard. Freedom of movement baby!!! You're never going to have to worry about them falling off on a rollercoaster or losing them at the club or getting them knocked off in a mosh pit. I don't know what glasses people with vision as bad as mine do when they want to go swimming, but I imagine there's some kind of sacrifice involved. You don't really have to worry about losing contacts because you don't really take them off when you're not at home, and if you DO lose one, it's not the end of the world the way losing glasses is!! You're not out potentially hundreds of dollars and blind for a few days or weeks until you can get a replacement! You can just go put in a new one! Easy as pie, baby.
Aesthetic: Look this one is entirely according to taste, but I have to say that overall I prefer no glasses on myself, and that would probably be true even if not for the comfort and utility of contacts, which I discussed above.
Some people look hot in glasses. I have been told that I look very good in glasses myself. But I personally don’t think they look good enough on anyone for all the sacrifices that come with wearing glasses to be worth it.
Also, even though I do look good in my glasses, I find them so limiting. One pair of glasses can control your entire aesthetic, which is fine if you’re one of those tiktok teenyboppers devoting themselves to chartreuse academia or whatever the hot new trend is, but I personally like to shake it up. we will never know true expressive freedom until we’ve freed ourselves from the shackles of dedication to a single trend. don’t let your look be chained by glasses. liberate yourself. get contacts instead. they’ll never clash with anything!!
I also think sunglasses fall into the aesthetic category? And the only real thing I have to say here is that you can’t fucking wear sunglasses if you have glasses!! Which is a shame because there are so many pairs of cute sunglasses out there!! And also sunny hurty my eyes:( yeah you can put a pair over your regular glasses I guess if you want to be uncomfortable and look like a goober. But you could also just get contacts. You could get transition lenses, but those take time to build up and release the tint, which isn’t useful if you’re constantly moving between inside and outside, and you still have the problem of that single pair of glasses dictating your entire look.
Makeup Problems: you might not wear makeup, and this might also fall into the aesthetic category, but whatever. I’ve already talked about how glasses can cause issues with mascara, but it fucks with face makeup too!! Mine always rubbed off any foundation I had on the bridge of my nose, and the bottom of the frame did the same where it brushed the tops of my cheeks! Fucking despicable!!! I’m a smudgy little mess after an hour and no amount of setting powder or spray can help with that! Also you obviously can’t do makeup with glasses on, but if your vision is as bad as mine it can get pretty difficult to do it with glasses off too. We’re talking nose pressed to the mirror trying to see what I’m doing. ALSO if you wanna do some cool eye makeup that’s awesome, but your glasses WILL take away from the overall look, which sucks if it’s something you put any effort into. With contacts, however, you will run into exactly zero of these problems!!! Exciting!!
anyways that’s all I can think of right now but I hope this helps. contacts are like a girlfriend to me. and I love her so much <3

Obviously your blog is mostly centered around the shit storm that is ACOTAR. I'm curious, how do you feel about TOG? If you've read it that is. I've always preferred TOG to ACOTAR, mostly besides Dorian owns my heart, it also seemed more sculpted I guess (that's not the exact word I was looking for, but it works), and less focused on "romance" or whatever the fuck this wasn't meant to be a pun but the fact that it was my first thought for word choice is funny. Feysand and Nessian are, even tho romance is something that happens throughout the series and becomes more of a focus in later books, and I just preferred Celaena overall to Feyre. I know the series has its issues and isn't perfect by any means at all, my very strong prescription rose-colored glasses aren't that tinted. 😂 I read the series for the first time when I was a teenager, technically I read ACOTAR at the same age but we'll overlook that for now, the characters and the story have a special place in my heart and I'm not sure if it's actually good-aside from it's clear problems-or just my aforementioned rose colored glasses.
Totally okay if you don't answer questions about SJM's other series, if you do answer pls be gentle despite telling myself I'm not I'm Soft 😂. I trust your opinion, which is why I'm asking despite being Soft. Hope you have a better day tomorrow and Hercules is an incredible choice after a difficult day. 💜
Buckle up, this will be long!!!!
Weirdly, I was living in Copenhagen and I was in a group for young people new to the city and somebody wrote about making a book club. 4 of us turned up - one from USA, one from Netherlands, one from Spain, and me - so we were just chatting about books in a coffee shop and somebody recommended throne of glass. I'd tried to read books like divergent and the mortal instruments and did not like the "chosen girl who is the best at everything" cliche so I was like HARD PASS. (At that point Empire of Storms and ACOMAF had come out that year).
I didn't think about that book again but I did keep going to the library and I read Maze Runner which I loved and still pair with my time in Denmark lmao.
Anyway. I also did reddit gift exchanges and one year (maybe 2017/2018), somebody sent me Tower of Dawn and ACOTAR. I didn't touch either for ages. They just sat on my shelf because neither appealed.
Anyway, in a bid to read the books piling up on my shelves, I started acotar and my thoughts were "this girl is so dumb" "i cannot believe she can be this stupid" "my goodness she is annoying". I then borrowed the others from a library and was a fan of the side characters rather than feyre THEN I moved onto ToG.
I really enjoyed the first book. Loved a fun competition between assassins. I wanted her and Nox to get together rather than Chaol or Dorian. 2nd one felt off? Then the rest felt like a different series. I'll be honest, I did enjoy them but it didn't hook me the same way ACOTAR did. Cannot pinpoint why.
Feyre is annoying. Caelena is annoying
Rhys is annoying and abusive. Rowan is annoying and abusive.
Side characters make both series.
One thing that I really didn't like about Tog was how Kaltain was made to be that mean, man-hungry girl in the first... she didn't need "redemption", she was literally just a courtier set in a time where women needed to marry up. Again it was SJM's nasty side coming through like she did to Nesta/Elain in book one.
I loved Lorcan and Elide. They were probably my favourite chapters to read. Plus Manon's. I really enjoyed tower of dawn too - Yrene and Chaol were also one of my favourite couples.
This is so disjointed, sorry.
Overall yes i liked tog but I've only read it once. Don't love it enough to write fan fiction, but also there's not enough to make me angry like acotar.

yup! turns out everything is ok! sleeping was weird after the first few days but im all good now.
is so funny that you can hold 3 different conversations thru tumblr. like thats awesome. we’ve been talking about several things from drawings to lore to…whatever this post turned into, and i am so here for it. tumblr: the place for multitasking.
and yes i am quite literally ‘lmao’ at all of them.
HELPPPP FHDJDHJDD ah yes instead of going to my room to read your posts i am actually just going in there to do lots of drugs. tons of them. like um. yea. because thats what people do. ahaha. i would know, i am a person. totally. 100% all human being here. i say as my skin suit is falling off
yo followers‼️ you best get ready for this insane lore we’re totally gonna drop soon‼️‼️ you’re asses better be fully equipped with arg gear‼️its gonna include my whole lobotomy + other stuff i got in 3rd grade‼️ its coming very soon‼️ definitely‼️ this is certainly not a LIE‼️
awhhh!! thats so sweet!! sometimes when i’m at the store shopping/out and about in the world— ill see a specific color of red that looks exactly like the background color of your pfp. i’ve named it ‘semifontos red.’ creative name, i know.
also 🫵 fellow tea drinker. whats your favorite kind. 🫵🫵🫵
(i’m a heavy chai drinker, and and a black tea, earl gray bitch. BUT! occasionally i add some green teas into the mix)
aaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!! i need you to stop being the #1 nicest tumblr person i’ve ever met on this website, or i might explode again from happiness. ditto my friend, ditto indeed. you’ve filled the last few months of my life with indescribable joy, and every time i open the app, i cant help but smile because i know ill see your posts on my dash. your just as silly as i am, and i even start giggling before i read your posts because i know they’re gonna be good. thanks for being my parasocial pal <33
holy shit u right— tbh i kinda forgot abt that. sigh. he should get another thoracotomy? gastrectomy? both of those??? again. that’d be peak comedy, and you know what they say, third time’s the charm
yes, i agree, we may have become mutuals via slimecicle getting another chest & stomach surgery, but i dont think we’d be talking back and forth and exchanging drawings of our little silly sonas if it weren’t for bisexual purga(y)tory post. so for that, it will always have a special place in my heart.
yup, i repeat, if you have STUPID EYES that CANT SEE without GLASSES/CONTACTS you could instead buy ONE NINTENDO SWITCH or TWO EXPENSIVE GAMES FOR NINTENDO SWITCH EVERY YEAR if you give up on your eyes. INVEST NOW!! BUY TODAY!! just DONT TELL ANYONE THAT *I* SAID THAT!!!
speaking of glasses!!! i finally got a new prescription!!! yippee!! (round of applause.mp3 starts playing)
i might also be trying contacts? its a bit tricky because apparently my eye is more oval shaped than the traditional round shaped, (i think its called asigmatism) but its still possible! so ill see how it goes!!
ahhh, my bad my bad. sooo, if thats the case?
~~~~~~ - ~~~ = ~~~ ?
(explosions in the background)
oh. maybe not.
(also just to put it here i have seen your drawing request in my ask box and i am working on it dw!)
@semifontos
GRAAAAAAHHHHH!!!! (i crawl out of my grave but this time kill bill style)
IM STILL ALIVE!!! I PROMISE I PROMISE I PROMISE I PROMI—
but it is done!!!! i did it!!!!! after years in training, various classes in alchemy, and many many engine failures!!!!!!! it is FINISHED!!!!!!!!!
behold, the SEMIFONTOS DESIGN:
im so so sorry that this took so long and might not be as high quality as my other art— but i hope you enjoy it!!
gonna be honest, a screw was loose on my glasses and my right lens fell out just as i started working on this again. so. if any lines look wonky you can file all complaints to my prescription glasses.
but, yea!! there it is!! i plan to start being more active! i swear! i just have a lot goin on rn!! may reblog/post some other things later. we’ll see how it goes. luv u pal & thanks 4 bein patient!!
So I saw one (1) TikTok and thought it would be fun to take apart my glasses, the most crucial disability aid that I ever fucking use lmao
It wasn't a total waste of time! Here's my preliminary findings & relevant data.
I AM EXTREMELY NEARSIGHTED. I cannot attest to the results farsighted individuals may seek.
I also have 2 different prescriptions for my eyes at, I believe, -5.25/-4.75 so as anyone who's ever read a glasses prescription can see, I am VERY legally blind without corrective lenses. (for those who haven't, I literally cannot even use my phone without corrective lenses; I would need a screen reader! No, I cannot recognize your face OR see how many fingers you're holding up!!)
It turns out the arms on your glasses actually hold both lenses at the same distance from your eyes.... so you can see consistently without having to constantly adjust your frames :))) so that's why they're there :)))
And if you take them off and replace them with chains that means they move a LOT MORE, and if they move, so does your usable field of vision
My primary issue was with the glasses tilting forward and back, so instead of being |o like this in front of my eyes (that's a face in profile, the o is my eyeball). they'd go /o \o one of those directions instead
As such I would not recommend doing this with any glasses you wear for nearsightedness to operate machinery or work on screens for long periods of time. I think the potential to increase nausea is.... not insignificant
However I think perhaps there's also something to be said for the shape of my glasses frames! The TikTok I saw was using round glasses which connected to the arms halfway down the frame. Mine connect at the top of the frame. I think perhaps a center attachment could perhaps keep them more level (like | that) but it's hard to say for sure. attached at the top, they slanted towards my eyebrows (/o)
I would primarily only outright recommend this for sunglasses as movement of the lens won't change your field of vision!!!
Having said all of that: did it actually impair my vision? A bit, yes! Did I admit defeat and put the arms back on my glasses like a normal person? FUCK NO!
I continued to go absolutely apeshit on these all night and have since made several swappable accessory chains for all the glasses I own because i refuse to sacrifice style for function, even if we're talking about being able to see anything at all as a visual fucking artist.
I... I do miniatures! I do detailed beadwork! I make PIXEL ART! I do PHOTOGRAPHY where I have to be able to see my camera well enough to tell if the image is in focus (I can't do that w my glasses btw. Only contacts). Can't stress enough how stupid I am being right now and also how much I love this little whale I don't even FUCKIN CARE omg. tiny whale. take my house. take my wife. I will accept full blindness before I purge this tiny whale from my outfit AND LOOK!!!!!!! I MADE ONE WITH A LITTLE GOLDSTONE BAT TOO!!!!!!
Is this fuckin thing the reason I've been so nauseous all morning? PROBABLY! do I recommend it? NOT EVEN A LITTLE UNLESS ITS FOR SUNGLASSES! will I learn from my own mistake and put the arms back on my glasses?? NEVER!!! ITS DEATH OR VICTORY, AND IN THIS INSTANCE, VICTORY LOOKS LIKE THESE TINY LITTLE GAY LITTLE ANIMAL-SHAPED BEADS.
#me#art#video#so anyway id give this a solid 5/10. useless for function but revolutionary for fashion.#on a related note i very much need to order new contacts :') I've been stretching a 6mo supply for over a year :')#we are on our last leg lads#but theyre so fckn expensive and i always ask my dad to get em for my bday so i dont have to#but i dont want CORRECTIVE LENSES for my 30th fucking birthday gift come ON.#those are a disability aid they should be fucking free not $150#it makes sense that i paid $150 for both these pairs of glasses. because they absolutely fuck.#but like i need lenses to participate in society. at all. i need them to function.#story time#lord i hope the first 5 tag rule isnt still in effect LMFAO. thats how much i know about anything anymore#and yes i am wearing the same shirt as yesterday fucking fight me#i don't even own 1 shirt for each day of the week#i own 1 pairn of pants that don't fit and 2 pairs of shorts which also dont fit#so yeah dont @ me
fun facts abt my newly-started, ongoing twelfth (12th) run of fe3h:
first time making liberal use of the dlc costumes!!!
first time dressing up byleth in the academy uniform + with the glasses!!! the fit suits him so well!!!
first time using the lord class ever
first time running fortress knight/GK dedue ever
first time running falcon knight ingrid
first time running ingrid in actually any physical class ever
3rd time playing normal mode. at this point i’ve run hard twice (runs 2 + 3) and maddening seven times (4, 6-11).
because of this i have caught myself several times anticipating nonexistent poison strike damage and made a fool of myself in ch5 by anticipating that the reinforcements would same-turn move LMAO
i got mad for a hot second because everyone was levelling faster than they were mastering their beginner classes??? (for some reason??? iderk man,,)
BUT
it has also been THE most fun i’ve had in a 3h run for a HOT second (literally since run 4. runs 5-11 were VERY prescriptive abt class promotions and even by halfway through run 11 i was just annoyed at the idea of doing very restrictive runs)
which has made me realise that this run has no reason to not be like. a catharsis run. who CARES if i’m playing on normal/casual ng+?? why should it MATTER to ME of all people if my units are so overpowered, huh!??!? YES i will take my dancer-to-be dimitri with his ng+ hair and YES i will take my brawler felix and archer mercedes. DEDUE WITH AN AXE HAS NEVER FELT SO GOOD.
i take the 3h class system and realise just how BROAD and expansive it is and realise that YES!!!! u can put anyone in ANY class!!! it doesn’t need to be their best class or worst class bc those dont exist!!!! 11 runs have taught me this!!! every unit is good in every class u just gotta take that shit w/ your heart forget the meta forget the memes and eat hero ashe and wyvern lord caspar and valkyrie annette for BREAKFAST bcause there r no rules!!! in any video game!!!
ppl will make videos and tier lists and strategy guides but its all bullshit!!! games dont need to be scientific they exist for you to have fun!!!! i see u funky guys on this webbed site that find maddening hard, or intimidating, or whatever!!! and take it from me, maddening’s just another way to play!!! “uR nOt a ReAL gAMeR iF u cAnT bEAt maddening” smh shush!!! maddening exists for the challenge + reward of beating it but literally nothing else!!! queen u don’t need to put yourself through a gamemode u hate, ever!!! u can spend just as much time putting your guys in the funkiest costumes to completely style on the battlefield!!!
bc i found out that YES what i love most about 3h is a) big numbers but actually ABOVE that its the costumes and outfits u get from class changes!!! post-timeskip dimitri (during pt 1!!!! did u know u can do that on ng+????) never looked so good with gloves, rolled up cuffs, a ponytail and the sexiest blue cape to match!!! put everyone in maid and butler outfits or silly little p.e. uniforms or picnic clothes or whatever mix of literally all of it!!! bc u just can!!!
3h was my “comfort game” but even when i had everyone in the wrong classes, over the six ‘contraclass’ runs on maddening mode it was just a slog!!! the only two class choices that i ever looked forward to were falcon knight lysithea and bow knight manuela!!!! one class for one character on two seperate runs!!! smh!!!!
bc i’ll let y’all know, when i was already close to finishing my 11th run, i VOWED to just…do a run of 3h where i wasn’t beholden to any rules or any standards or ANYTHING!!! and its completely injected a new love of the game into me! the hang-ups and restrictions and high-strungness have been a work-in-progress to get over, but it has been GENUINELY fun!!!
I also recently did like half of cindered shadows again!! it was so fun!! until it wasn’t!! but i put a pause on that go, and might just lower the difficulty!!! because i can!!!
so anyway! don’t ever let you get told by anyone how to play a game!!! find whats fun for you! do what’s fun for you!! bc you can do whatever!!! esp w/ 3 hopes releasing this week! i will SO enjoy wrecking absolute FACE w/ mercedes bc i find her so fun to play!!! will i solo w/ mercedes??? probably! but who cares! i can do it so why shouldn’t i!!!!
Anyway. yeah. fun fact about my twelfth run of three houses? i realised that i could simply have fun in a video game :D
#fe3h#fire emblem three houses#personal?#positive#4 am thoughts#anyway#doing stuff like this in video games is just..#the BIGGEST exhale ever#a massage for ur soul
So I figured for an introduction ref, full body + some examples of his power use would be enough. I can’t stress enough how much I love his outfit, and its so weird considering I normally aren’t a huge fan of green lmao. I think I’ll focus on Joaquin next, as I have no ideas for Minerva’s look yet.
More info below:
Full name: Kaspian Kravchenko
Nickname: Kas, The bogeyman/Shadowcrawler/that snake boy bastard
Sexuality: Aro/Ace
Height: 178 cm
Notable family: A little brother named Sebastian (mostly known as Bass)
Role(s):
Event manager for his unofficial adoptive mother.
One third of a vigilante group formed by him, Minerva and Irina. They usually deal with personality cults/criminals who worship Minerva’s dad’s old persona; the trio basically works to dismantle them and keep them away from her dad as he’s not interested/letting him deal with these people could probably be a bad idea.
Personality summary: Cunning, intelligent, tends to be rather polite especially towards women, sarcastic and dry sense of humor, a tad sadistic, has a strict moral code despite his fearsome reputation as “The Shadowcrawler”. Protective over people he’s close with. A surprisingly good listener and considerate when the time requires it. Basically really good at reading people, and good at herding others and getting them to do what they need to. Doesn’t like opening up about his own internal demons easily. Calm and collected majority of the time, but can get pretty dangerously irrational when its about his little brother’s safety.
Aspect details: BASICS: In his world, some people have abilities that theme around an emotion/mental state that they call “aspects.” His is one of the rarer ones and more fearsome ones as well, no pun intended. Each aspect type tends to have different ways of manifesting itself depending on the individual, hence they might be using different terms despite technically basing on the same kind of emotion/mental state. A person can usually only wield one aspect at a time.
GENERAL: All “Fear” aspect users can excrete a shadowy substance from their body that allows them to morph parts of their body, usually basing on the most common fears among humans, such as developing long deadly claws, spidery legs, venomous fangs, or even demon-like wings. They can also use this shadowy form to teleport through reflective surfaces. Also inhuman speed and strength is naturally included, though this stuff is common with plenty of Aspects.
Kaspian-specific is his ability to dig into people’s psyche and bring out their worst fears or traumas, something he finds quite fun to do. He does have some personal rules about using this though, and doesn’t wield it all the time and against every enemy like some people like to claim. He doesn’t bother correcting them about this though, considering his terrifying reputation is useful.
FUN FACTS
Kaspian can sing and whistle quite well, and has kind of a dry, somewhat nasal voice. He often likes to hum a song or whistle as another form of taunting/terrorizing his opponents
Kaspian was infamous as a teen, known as a criminal named “Shadowcrawler,” though nowadays this persona is more of an urban legend, the same way his rescuer, Vincent A.K.A his unofficial adoptive dad is.
In fact, Vincent busted him out of Juvenile after overhearing a conversation between his wife and daughter, where Minerva wanted a sibling. His wife happened to be reading an article about Kaspian being caught at the time, so Vincent, being the weirdo he is, decided that yes, this kid will be my daughter’s new brother!
Kaspian was pretty baffled about the whole thing at first naturally, but was more than relieved to have a second chance.
He often helps Minerva to paint her nails and allows her to do so with his. In general the two tend to keep a lot of “girls night out” days.
Minerva often rants to him about random stuff, and he is pretty patient listener and tends to offer surprisingly good insight/advice at times.
His brother is actually part of the task-force responsible in handling improper aspect usage, and is assigned as a bodyguard for one of their more valuable members. (Joaquin, whose aspect is really rare)
They often end up running into one another, because coincidentally the people Kaspian and his group deal with are often the same people that want to get their hands on Joaquin.
Kas does keep a close eye on Bass, because he’s concerned about his little brother refusing to use his own aspect (also fear based) which can lead to some serious consequences.
Overall, the only person who can make him lose his usual cool and even panic is his little sibling.
His tinted glasses actually belonged to Minerva’s dad originally, but the man gave them to him. They did have to change the lenses as Kaspian actually needs prescription glasses, unlike Vincent to whom they were simply a stylistic choice.
Kaspian wears non-tinted normal glasses on his day-to-day life
Both Kravchenko brothers have albinism, which is why they are pale and has light colored eyelashes. They also burns in the sun very easily because of it, so neither is fond of beach days or summer.
the scales are a side-effect of his aspect. Often times your aspect tends to manifest on your body physically somehow. Scales are fairly common for fear-based aspect users, but the amount Kaspian has is rarer.
Who are you most nervous about introducing potential significant others to? Ooooh moving forward, probably Angela hahahaha I have no idea how I’d break it to her if ever I do start seeing somebody again. She’s well aware of all the shit that I let slide so she might get intense with the scrutineering.
What is the most exciting thing about your life right now? Just the fact that I feel on top of the world these days. My days of being depressed and picking at my insecurities seem to be far behind me and the change has looked to be apparent coming from friends who’ve told me I seem happier, louder these days.
What was the most important non-academic thing you learned in high school? To not be scared to fight harder for the things you believe in or what make up your identity, coming from having to hide a same-sex relationship during that period. That feeling of being constricted and having to hide to stay on some conservative seniors’ good graces really pissed me off so high school was really crucial in letting me discover just how much I’d be willing to fight and test the waters to be able to live as me.
Have you ever had a job that deeply affected your personal life? How so and do you still work there? Hmm no, not really. If anything my job is one of the things that helped make me a lot livelier and happier.
Do you have a “one who got away”? It felt that way at the start when my view was still skewed, but it didn’t take long until I realized she was not a loss at all.
If you were in a superhero movie, would you be the hero or the villain? Hero.
If you found a mouse in your house, would you be frightened? Mice or rats are the literal worst fucking thing I could see in my house. I definitely see myself making a big deal out of it lmao, especially rats.
Have you ever tried to perform magic tricks? Nobody ever taught me, so no.
Can you do more with a yo-yo than just "go up and down"? Nah, which kinda makes me feel ashamed because considering it was a Filipino who invented the modern yo-yo, I feel like it should be my responsibility to know a few tricks LOL.
What is one form of technology that you wouldn't be able to live without? Instant messenger.
Did you get an allowance, growing up? Why or why not? Starting high school. Before that I was living in our family’s duplex, so my grandma could make packed meals for all of us – not to mention the fact that my parents were also still on their way to establishing themselves at their respective workplaces so we weren’t all that well-off yet.
When we moved into our own place, we started with my mom making our meals but eventually it just proved to be time-consuming and a lot of work considering she also had a job to go to. With that and the fact that both my parents at that point already got a couple of promotions, we switched to allowance.
Would you rather go to a water park or an amusement park? Why? Amusement parks though I would only probably head to the safer rides and food stalls with all the deep-fried offerings haha. I cannot handle more intense rides. On the other hand, water parks have always sounded nasty to me.
What is one instrument you wouldn't mind learning how to play? Piano.
What's the longest amount of time you've had to wait in line for something? The stupid LTO, because you can never count on government agencies to be efficient. Technically my whole time in there took a couple of stages, but all in all I spent eight hours there.
What is something that you would like to learn more about? Korean. I just graduated from my Basic Korean 1 class but I already have plans to enroll in the following course, since I seemed to do well and I want to keep the momentum going.
What is something that one of your family member collects? Mom has a large collection of chef-themed figurines and other sorts of trinkets like a chef timer, shot glasses, etc - but mostly the figurines - that she has displayed in a glass case. I should keep that in mind for when I start Christmas shopping, actually...she hasn’t updated that collection in a long time. Thanks for the idea!
Have you ever moved to a new school before? If so, how did it feel? No, not in the middle of the same period since I went to the same school from kinder to high school for 14 years. I only “moved” when I started college. Like I’ve said in previous surveys, it felt freeing to finally not under be the hands of an environment ran by...well, Catholics. It was a culture shock to see rallies everywhere, to find out I could wear short shorts or even go to school naked if I wanted to, and to see boys in my class (I went to an all-girls), but it was all the good kind of shock.
Have you ever legitimately forgotten to do homework? Always, because I never wrote them down.
Do you enjoy autumn leaves or spring flowers more? Why? I experience neither season.
Depending on where you live, why might a day of school get canceled? Typhoon.
If you could meet any fictional character from a book, who would it be? Melanie Hamilton from Gone with the World.
What are some common places that people tour when they come to your city? I rarely see foreigners here since my area isn’t particularly known for tourism; most go to the island provinces like Cebu, Aklan, Palawan, etc. If I had to recommend spots here, I’d tell them to go for Pinto and maybe the rooftop bars that offer a view of Manila’s skyline.
What's one food that you did not enjoy as a child, but do as an adult? Chicken curry, which I used to dread.
Would you rather have a mermaid tail, a fairy's wings or a unicorn's horn? I guess the wings just because I feel like it’s the only practical one.
What is an animal that you'd like to have as a pet but it's not allowed? I don’t think that way about animals I can’t keep as pets anyway.
What are some things that you do to make the world a better place? I always clean up at restaurants (my mom doesn’t understand why I do it because “the servers are here for a reason, Robyn”) but I always see the relief on their faces when they see I’ve stacked up the plates and cups so I don’t see a reason to stop doing it. I keep the door open for people who happen to enter/exit a building the same time as me, share dog adoption posts, don’t make a fuss about or towards a shop staff who messes up...things like that. I hope it’s able to help, even if just in a small way.
Has the last person you had sex with ever had sex with someone besides you? I don’t know. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has already.
What’s your favorite store at your mall? We have several malls within the vicinity but I like frequenting NCAT.
Have you ever done a workout DVD? No but my mom is fond of those.
Who usually takes out the trash in your family? Either of my parents.
What song are you currently obsessed with? My Universe is soooooo good. It’s Coldplay’s classic sound but they somehow managed to perfectly blend in BTS’ style as well, so I love how it turned out.
When you go fishing, do you make someone else get the fish off the hook? I've never gone fishing.
Do you take any prescription meds? Nope.
What happens if you don’t take them? Who was the last person you dreamt about? My dad.
Do you prefer your tea sweetened or unsweetened? Sweetened, though I don’t usually actively look for iced tea. I’d have it if it was served, but I don’t typically order it for myself.
How often do you honk your horn? As long as I am annoyed, which gives my mom a mini heart attack every time because she insists I just let people have their way to avoid getting into fights. Sometimes when she’s driving and someone’s being stupid on the road I lurch forward to do the honking for her and it pisses her off soooooooooo much but it also gets the job done so *shrug*
Do you have any children? If so, names and ages? I don’t.
Have your parents ever witnessed you doing something inappropriate? What? TMI but I almost got caught doing the m-word once but my reflexes were at lightning speed that day so when my door opened I was able to fix myself up and appear as though nothing was happening lol. My mom also saw a hickey on me once but I was able to veer the conversation away when she started inquiring.
Did you get babysat a lot as a kid? No, I did the babysitting.
If you were the principal of a school, what would you do differently? Actually deal with teachers who mistreat or make issues towards their students. I had several teachers I know didn’t like me but I could never do anything about it because there was no way in hell the school was going to take my side.
Are you doing anything fun tomorrow? Continued from yesterday. If I took this question yesterday to refer to today I would’ve answered yes because we actually have a really fun PR stunt scheduled for execution today, wherein we get to sponsor someone’s whole wedding from food to flowers to the host and fillm crew :D :D But tomorrow is just Monday so the real answer to this is no.
What is something you'd like to receive as a housewarming gift? I dunno the usual housewarming gifts, but I would appreciate anything practical, or anything that you’ll need at the least expected times, like batteries or even like Sticky Tack.
How old were you when you first experienced the effects of puberty? Oooh I was an early bird – I was 9 when I could first tell my first period was on its way; it came a month after I turned 10.
What is your least favorite holiday, and why? I don’t dislike any holiday because they all mean a day off work lol.
What were some outdoor games you played as a child? We usually played piko (hopscotch), our local version of freeze tag that we dubbed “Ice ice water” for whatever reason, and a garter game that we call 10-20. Dodgeball was a favorite during recess and lunch, too.
Did you accompany your parents on "Take Your Child to Work" Day? That’s not observed here, but my mom did use to take me and my siblings to her first workplace. Are cemeteries peaceful to you, or do they freak you out? They’re actually more interesting to me than anything else. I like learning about the different lives of many different people, even if I only technically know them by their birthday and date of death. Sometimes the inscriptions would be more detailed and tell more about their life, sometimes I’d come across babies who only lived a few days...and it’s just interesting to have those glimpses into life.
Which ancient civilization would you be interested in learning more about? Filipino, because Western colonization destroyed proof of most of it.
Do you have better long-term memory or short-term memory? Long.
What was the last situation that made you cry? Describe. I cried this morning. Nothing bad or heavy, I just found myself thinking again about my mental state last year.
Which forest animal would you be most afraid to encounter? Anything that wouldn’t hesitate to tear my limbs apart.
Do you believe in anything supernatural? (ie: spirits, etc) No.
Has anyone close to you ever gone to war? No. The closest link I have to the military, other than my dead great-grandfather, is Angela’s uncle who’s like a general or like a colonel or something, idk titles.
Have you ever experienced altitude sickness? Yeah, occasionally. Pressure in the ear is a bigger nuisance to me, though.
Is there anything, any event, you wish you could remember more clearly? The last time I saw my grandfather. My only clear memory of him that day was stepping out of the house to leave (my mom and I were visiting) and him sending me off with the message to always be kind and good. If I had known I would never see him again, I never would’ve left.
Have you ever rubbed anyone’s feet? Hmm no, not that I can recall.
If you had to get advice from someone of the opposite sex, who would you go to? I’d go to Hans for certain advice, but not for every single situation. He’s the only person that comes to mind.
What was the last new food/drink that you tried? So last Wednesday I finally got to try this Instagram-based doughnut shop that I’ve been eyeing since August and it turned out to be even MUCH BETTER THAN EXPECTEDDDDDD. Like yeah their photos were always mouthwatering but I didn’t expect it to taste as good as it looks, since most pretty food I’ve encountered usually end up just tasting meh. Anywho, I got two orders of their sampler box and they served me their specialty bacon doughnut, signature brown butter, and a bunch of their chocolate and peanut butter variants and I loved every single fucking thing.
Have you had a good day today or was yesterday better? Oh it’s hard to tell, it’s only 9:05 AM. Both days might be uneventful, though.
Have you ever played Sudoku? I don’t actually get how to play it hahaha. I feel like I’m too stupid for sudoku.
Do you ever take surveys for money? I tried it last year when applying for jobs was still a bitch for me, but the thing is most of those surveys look for employed participants so there was rarely ever a survey that fit me anyway.
Do you like Barbie or Bratz better? Bratz.
Do you prefer purple or green grapes? I don’t like grapes.
Who was the last person that made you laugh? Idk, probs one of the boys since I was watching videos of them earlier today.
Where does your best friend live? A nearby city.
Who did you last confide in? Angela.
Does your car have an alarm? Sure.
Where was your mom born? Somewhere in Metro Manila.
What can always make you feel better no matter what? My dogs.
What is something you’ll never eat again? Why? I don’t think there is anything. I feel like I’m always bound to retry things and that I would be open to doing so, even fruits. One thing I’m firm about never drinking again, though, is coconut water. Get that SHIT away from me.
What is currently happening that is scaring you? I’m not feeling scared these days.
Have you ever found a stranger’s note somewhere? If so, what did it say? Probably. But nothing sticks out.
Survey #424
“got no superspeed, but i’m running this town”
What is the first line in the song you are currently listening to/last listened to? "I’m running out of time; I hope that I can save you somehow.” Are you an easy lay? Not in the slightest. What was the last reason you cried? Life and how inexplicably I'm failing at it. What’s hurting you right now? More like what isn't. Do you remember important dates? Only some. I'm awful with numbers. Do you own anything with the Playboy Bunny on it? No. Do you own a bean bag chair? No. Have you ever played Gamecube? At a friend's house. Have you ever played with toy cars before? Yeah, with my nephew. He LOVES monster trucks. Have you ever touched a caterpillar? Oh, definitely. I loved picking them up as a kid. What is your favorite kind of salad? Just plain 'ole iceberg lettuce with ranch, really. Are you any good at Ping-Pong? Holy hell no, I SUCK. What was/is your high school mascot? A firebird. Can you make cute little animals by folding paper? God no, I'm awful at origami. Like, I have zero concept of how to do it. What kind of music do you like? Various types of metal and rock. Do you like apple juice? Yeah. Do you like to draw? It's funny, like I do love it, but I barely ever do it because I get frustrated when I can't get what's in my head onto paper. What do you put on your french fries? Generally ketchup. How many people can comfortably sleep in your bed? Two. Do you want to have a big family in the future? I don't want kids, just pets. Probably a lot of pets. Is Vegas one of your must-see places? No. Pet rat: yay or nay? I've had multiple pet rats and I adore them. I've come to find I'm not the best at keeping rodents because changing the bedding so much sucks ass, but nevertheless they are fantastic pets for people who don't mind the maintenance. Would you call yourself a writer? Written any stories lately? Yes. I haven't written in a while, though. I just have absolutely zero motivation to RP. Are you good at reading people's body language? I probably overanalyze it, really. Ever threatened somebody and actually went through with it? I don’t threaten people. Does holding newborn babies scare you? Extremely. I feel like they're made of thin glass. Piercings: yay or nay? I LOVE piercings. They add an interesting touch to your appearance and to me just (usually) look super cool. There are very few piercings I don't like. Do you have a collage of pictures in your bedroom? No, but I want to make a motivation board very badly. Favorite Nicholas Cage movie? Ghost Rider. Were video games better in the 1980s, 1990s, or the 2000s? Why? '80s games bore me honestly, but I love some '90s and many 2000s games. I've got to say ultimately newer games win, because of graphics increasing immersion (no, I do not whatsoever believe graphics are everything or always make a better experience), voice acting improving immensely, etc. Have you ever watched The Beverly Hillbillies? Yes! Mom loves it so I used to watch it a lot with her as a kid. I'd still watch it. Did your mother ever sing lullabies to you when you were younger? Yes. Are you ready to get out of this town? I HATE THIS TOOOWN, IT'S SO WASHED UUU-UP, AND ALL MY FRIENDS DON'T GIVE A FUUU-UUUUUCK god hell yes get me the fuck out. Do you know anybody that is pregnant right now? Quite a few. What are you listening to? "Superluv” by Shane Dawson. Have you ever gotten a speeding ticket? No. Does your father have any facial hair? Yes. Did your grandparents teach you anything? My maternal grandmother, the only one I really ever knew, taught me I'm a disappointment, pretty much. And a bitch. Do you want/have a Bachelor’s degree? It'd be nice to have one, but I don't, and I'm not pursuing it again. I've wasted enough of my parents' money. Are you into superheroes? Who’s your favourite? Not seriously, but I enjoy them well enough. I like Spider-Man. What did you have for dinner last night? Mom ordered Mexican. I had two shrimp and cheese quesadillas and rice with cheese. Do you think you look similar to your siblings? No. Have you ever played Cards Against Humanity? Did you like it? Yeah, it's fun. Do you know your best friend’s middle name? Yes. Are you close to your father? I am. Have you ever had a serious conversation with your dad? Yeah. Would you rather have long or short hair? I enjoy having short hair way more. Who did you go/plan on going with to prom? I went with Jason twice. Have you ever been to a debate and speech tournament? Hell no, and I never would. Arguing makes me cry lmao. Are you someone who enjoys stand-up comedy? Yep. What’s one thing that scares you about living alone and being independent? A lot of things do, but one thing in specific that I fear is that I let the house become cluttered and messy. I'm so shit at cleaning, especially when I'm depressed. It's why my own bedroom isn't even fully decorated, and we've lived here since I wanna say last November. If someone offered you an all-expenses paid trip to one European country, where would you go and why? Germany, 'cuz I enjoy the culture and would love to try some foods and visit places. Have you ever won anything on the lottery? No. Are you interested in the World Cup? I couldn't possibly care less. What’s the longest time you’ve ever been on a plane for? Idk. Do you let your hair dry naturally or do you towel-dry it or blow dry it? I use a towel to dry it some, then let it really get the job done naturally. How many of the Harry Potter books have you read? None. Who last gave you their number? When I posted on Facebook about going on a mental health hiatus, my good friend Alon messaged me her number if I ever needed to talk. I was really thankful. Are you often the last one to understand a joke? Honestly yeah. I'm slow to grasp a lot of things. Your first black eye: Did you give it or get it? Never gotten or given one. Have you ever slept in a tent, indoors or out? Yes to both. Are you mad right now? I'm annoyed, but not mad. Are you allergic to nuts or dairy products? No. Has anyone ever called the cops on you? No. Do you ever actually drink milk alone? Yeah, I love milk. Do you have a sensitive gag reflex? It is EXTREMELY sensitive. What was the last situation to upset you? I'd rather not talk about it. Have you ever had an online argument? I have been heavily active on the Internet since I was like, 11. Maybe younger. I have been in plenty. Are you at risk for any medical issues? A lot of heart problems run in my family. I'm also suspicious I may develop diabetes, which also runs very heavily in my family. What were you doing at 7:00 a.m.? Surprisingly, I was asleep. Do you own a robe? No. What would you consider your life to be? A wreck. What is your favorite mark of punctuation? I like question marks. Who knows your biggest secret? Nobody. Do you think anyone has feelings for you? Probably not. How do you know? I just doubt it. I'm so unlikable right now. Could you go a day without eating? I don't think I could. I do not react to stomach pain well, and that includes when I'm hungry. How many bracelets do you have on your wrists right now? None. What’s your favorite drink? Strawberry Sunkist, but I don't allow myself to have it. I will DESTROY a can or five of it. Who was the last person that texted you? My mom. What are you craving? Nothing really right now. What was the first thing you ate today? An everything bagel. What was the last type of meat you ate? Pork. Have you taken any medication today? Yeah, I take some prescription meds in the morning and at night. Have you ever been to Hawaii? No, but that'd be cool. Do you know anyone who has diabetes? My mom, for one. Have you ever made a boy cry? Sadly. Who are you talking to? Nobody. Do you think you’ve ruined your chances with someone? Absolutely. Your parents split; would you want to live with your mom or dad? My parents are divorced, and I stayed with Mom. Would you strongly prefer to go out with someone of your own skin color/racial background? I couldn't care less. For you personally, is abortion an option in case of an accidental pregnancy? For others, absolutely. It's your right. For me myself, it's possible, idk. If I was God forbid raped, I probably would have an abortion. If I accidentally got pregnant in a healthy relationship, I'd probably have a "too bad, so sad" outlook where I'd suck it up and go through with the gestation because having sex and risking pregnancy was my own decision. Even if I'm pro-choice, I think I'd feel too guilty aborting, especially with the child being someone's I love. Is it a requirement that you communicate every day with your significant other (via phone, text, in person, whatever)? IF I had an s/o, no. I like to, but sometimes you just want space. Are you fetish-friendly? I'm not gonna lie, some fetishes are just too fucking weird for me. I TRY not to judge, because I doubt you can actually help fetishes, but I inevitably do sometimes. If you're asking would I engage in fetishes because my s/o liked them, possibly, but it would really depend on what it is. Have you ever cosplayed? No. I think cosplay is really cool, though. Do you support the exploration of outer space? If yes, would you consider taking a trip into space, or even to another planet? As creatures who crave knowledge and understanding of our universe, I do support space exploration, but I do NOT believe we should be spending as much money as we do on it. Taking care of the planet we're actually on is far more important imo. I wouldn't personally go to outer space. Is it okay for men to wear makeup? What’s your opinion of male crossdressers? It's totally okay! Guys with makeup can be super attractive. Crossdressers, too. Go for it. You’re in a new relationship and your partner admits that they have had 14 sexual partners. Does that sound like a lot to you? For me personally, yes. I don't even know if I'd date someone with 14 past sexual partners, honestly. I would admittedly question their loyalty. Would you let your children under 13 watch movies with full nudity? No. If someone asked you, “What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done?” would you know the answer right away? I would. What is your opinion concerning strip clubs? Not my scene at all, but so long as you respect the dancers, whatever. You do you.
