#three cheers for thorough investigations#yes sometimes trepanning has been overused#but generally speaking if cutting a hole into someone's head seems like a good idea#that does not speak very well of their general health#so the fact that trepanning often coincides with death#isn't necessarily a helpful statement about its usefulness and safety#also every time he mentions someone else's patient dying#he takes it as a reason they are wrong about all things#while his patients dying is due to some external circumstance and in no way his fault
