ok sorry it took me almost a month to answer the rest of these wip asks I kinda forgot all these fics existed. anywayyyy this fic is based on a post by @bucktits that I of course cannot fucking find now but it was about buddie meeting at a farmer's market and falling in love<3 and so was born the fic where buck and maddie (the doc title is kind of a lie bc maddie is the beekeeper and buck is more like her little apprentice) sell honey at a farmers market near Eddie's house every weekend and Eddie is allergic to honey but he becomes their #1 customer anyway bc he is obsessed with buck and wants to bone him so bad. and also they're both still firefighters but at different stations (sorry I know some of u hate that). it's really just dumb and silly and an excuse for me to write Eddie Swagless Diaz being a down bad diva. anyway ill put a snippet under the cut:)

“Three jars should last you more than a week, man.” Buck sounds amused, his eyes glittering in the mid-morning sun as he grins, and Eddie tries not to read anything into the fact that Buck so easily recalls what he’d bought last time he was here.

In his defense, he really did go through a fair amount of it already, and if he were to try and project his rate of future honey usage based on current available data, he’d say now is a perfectly acceptable time for him to restock. Christopher has been adding it as a topping to almost every possible breakfast food after Eddie let it slip that honey is a marginally healthier alternative to maple syrup, and Carla had taken a jar home as well.

“Well, Christopher loves it. And I gave some to a friend.” Two technically truthful facts that just happen to omit the third, also truthful fact that Eddie still has a jar and a half of honey sitting in his kitchen cabinet. Honey is nonperishable, right? So it’s a normal thing to store in bulk, he reasons.

Eddie can’t help but interpret Buck’s answering smile as knowing anyway, like he’s seeing right through him. The thought doesn’t bother him as much as it should.

“I’m glad you’re enjoying it!” Maddie pipes up from beneath the brim of her beach hat. She’s sitting in a camping chair behind the table, peering at him over the top of a pair of bright pink sunglasses. The combination of accessories seems redundant considering the canopy they now have covering their booth, but Eddie supposes white people can’t be too careful. He wonders if last week might have been the duo’s first time at a market; they seem decidedly better prepared this time around. 

He doesn’t particularly like the way Maddie’s gaze cuts between himself and her brother, nor does he enjoy the way her polite smile morphs slowly into a full-on grin as she watches them. She sits forward in her chair, clasping her hands in her lap and crossing one leg over the other like there’s nowhere else she’d rather be.

Hey so this is kinda inspired by @virgamsysxvolumes lucky rush au but it's more my own twist on the bioshock inspiration. Actual prompt / idea below the cut

Ok so this would be a good parents au where Danny revealed himself to his parents shortly after the series (excluding phantom planet) and they were super supportive and asked for his help in learning more about ghosts. He also managed to track down Dani and brought her back to Amity only to learn that the ecto dejecto was only a quick fix. Eventually with Frostbites help they cure Dani but the only way is to essentially turn her into her core and let her form a new body in a special pod only she would be a baby. Now at first Jack and Maddie were going to fake a pregnancy and pretend she was Danny's and Jazz's sister however she and Danny bonded while they were looking for a cure and she accidentally called him Daddy. Danny was smitten and decided he would not pretend to be her brother and would be her dad.

The fentons pass it off as an invention gone weird that basically made a baby from Danny with no mother and Amity just shrugs at the Fenton weirdness and accept baby Dawn (She asked Danny to give her a new name before she was turned to a baby and I think that would be a cute name Danny would come up with.) Now 4 years later Danny is 19 or 20 and Dawn is 4 years old and Danny had been studying inventing like his parents and medicine from Frostbite. At Dawn's most recent check up Frostbite gave Danny one as well only to discover that Danny has been absorbing more ecto-energy than his core can handle because he is a primordial in the making (yes this is master of space Danny). So the solution to this is two-fold he has to move to another dimension with less ecto-energy and he has to where a special suit in his ghost form that frostbite and his parents made together. Which is this.

Just without the drill and maybe a little more astronaut themed.

So eventually they pack up Danny and Dawn and find a new dimension with a city where they can live without people asking too many questions. Gotham city. With the number of vigilantes already there Danny won't feel obligated to go out and fight and he can finish his degree at Gotham U and start a business making and selling meta specialized medical equipment and other helpful inventions. (But no weapons.)

So Danny and Dawn with their new identities and parents/grandparents, aunts and uncles (blood and honorary) settle in pretty well with Danny and Dawn going out on moonlit walks in Ghost form. Thus the people of Gotham meet Big Daddy and his little starlight.

Now as for who I would ship with Danny I personally love DannyxCass or Dead silent as I think the current ship name for them is.

So maybe she meets the single dad Danny at college or at the park for the first time but they don't really hit it off until Danny signs Dawn up for a ballet class that Cass teaches.

Meanwhile Bruce and the more paranoid Bat's are trying to find out more about this tank like Meta that the public named big daddy (I imagine people heard Dawn calling him Daddy and No one ever asked his name so they start calling him that as a sort of meme) after he beat down a feral ManBat who tried to go after Starlight. (They heard Danny call her that in the suit and ran with it)

Basically we have creepy tank man and his glowing ghostly daughter on one side and sweet Cass and Danny romance with little gremlin Dawn trying to play matchmaker on the other.

Also what I think the other bat's think of Cass new boyfriend.

Dick is full overprotective big brother.

Jason after seeing the way that Danny is trying to help the underprivileged and the fact that they are like something out of a Hallmark movie ships it.

Tim is paranoid about this stranger and is back to his old habits(stalking) to find answers.

Steph is full Gung ho wing women she will be Cass bridesmaid God dammit.

Damien starts off hostile thinking there is no way he's good enough for his favorite sister until he meets Dawn and suddenly he is declaring that Cass needs to hurry up and marry him or else he will because he will have that adorable little girl in his family no matter what.

Duke is wary at first because he hadn't ever seen someone who glows as bright as Danny and Dawn but the more time he spends with them the more he realizes that the bright glow is a safe and protective aura and that it reaches out and covers everyone Danny cares about. (Danny has a ghostly aura he subconsciously covers people he cares about with that let's him react to danger faster)

Alfred is already planning out weddings and birthdays. He always expected Dick to be the first one to give him Great grand babies but he's not complaining.

Bruce much like Dick is full over protective dad maybe he even borrows one of Alfred's guns to try to intimidate Danny.

Barbara who is both a big sister figure and a almost mother like figure to Cass is absolutely delighted. (It doesn't hurt that Danny made a set of leg braces that can read nerves to allow her to walk naturally again without needing surgery)

Selina adores the two and thinks they make a cute couple.

Also I think it would be funny if after all of Bruce, Dicks, and Tim's paranoia Danny just strait up tells them that he is from another dimension and even offers to let them tag along on the next visit to his parents so they can do a proper background check (which freaks them out because they hadn't told him they were doing that. At least until while they are discussing it and if that was evidence that Danny is more than he appears Cass says she told him that they were doing a background check on him. Not that Danny didn't already know but it helps the suspicion.)

But yeah part neutral Meta and park Hallmark romance.

Also maybe a side plot of Jazz coming to this dimension and maybe she has a relationship with Supergirl because I haven't seen that before.

Nobody got injured at the Homecoming ball, they all get separated into different safe houses- for safety.

Liam asked with a benevolent tone of voice. He knew it would be hard for Riley to hear that Drake was having another baby. He also had doubts about Madeleine’s ‘confession’.

“Yeah, I’m fine why wouldn’t I be?” Riley responded, still in shock. Why would she be in shock? A bit of jealousy? Maybe. But she loved Liam- and cared for Drake as a friend. Drake’s personal life didn’t include her- so why should it matter?

“Riley, you don’t have to pretend in front of us. You and Drake have history.”

“Li, I’m fine honestly. Drake and I aren’t together. I’d have thought he would have told me though. Especially after we talked.”

Liam had an inkling that she wasn’t fine. But didn’t want to force the issue. He noticed Madeleine waltz into the toilets with Kiara.

“Li, I’ll be back soon. I need to find Drake. Tell him that Maddy has told everyone. He and Kiara may have not wanted to tell everyone yet. She just loves causing havoc between everyone. It’s not fair on Drake and Kiara.”

Liam looked at her in awe. The way she cared about other people’s reputations made him think about the time her scandal came out. She had been the previous court gossip- and no matter how much she was hurting she obviously didn’t want anyone else to be in that situation.

“Do you want me to come with you?”

“No, you have to stay here. It would look odd if we both disappear. I’ll meet you back here. I want to spend some time with you alone- to talk.”

Liam nodded, he gave her a kiss on the forehead- Riley returned the kiss on his cheek.

“I’ll see you soon, Lady Riley.”

Riley couldn’t find Drake anywhere- she searched the entire room, before accidentally bumping into Bastien.

“I.. I can’t drink alcohol for a while but thank you. And about you and Kiara. Madeleine has told the whole court. I don’t know if you both wanted everyone to know yet. It’s all my fault, I’m so sorry. I got her riled up- by not backing down to her nasty comments.”

Riley walked towards the door, thinking that Kiara must have only just found out and had not had the chance to tell him yet.

“No. I. I can’t. Please, Riley just tell me.”

Riley- he never used her first name, unless he was serious about something. Figuring out that he still cared for her, she had to leave.

“You have your second chance at happiness Drake. I’m happy for you both, I really am. I need to go.” - Riley looked at him with a smile, before the tears began to flow. Drake wiped her tears off her cheek, his hand lingered there for a while.

“I don’t want you to be happy for me. I fucked us up. I wanted you to be happy. But I wanted us to be happy.”

“Drake, there was no us. Kisses here and there. I had to force that on you. I had stronger feelings towards you than you did me. That night we slept together, I felt relieved that I could finally be happy. Ignore all the shit and gossip about me. But looking back, it was must have just been lust- especially with what you said to me after. I’m glad you said what you said in the end. It broke my heart but it can be fixed. I meant what I said before, I want us to still be friends. I know it’ll be awkward and it’ll take time.”

“Riley, all that was said was a lie. You are always on my mind. You don’t know how I felt about you. So don’t try and think that you did.”

“Drake, you need to get me out of your head. Your ... your... “

“I can’t Brooks. Do you know how hard it was to hear you say that I was a mistake to you? When you feel so strong about someone- it hurts.”

“You ended whatever was between us Drake. I find out from ‘gob on legs’ Maxwell that you practically bedded Kiara the day I left. So yes, it was a mistake. If you really cared for me, you shouldn’t have let me go and you should have tried to fix things with me. The last 9 months have been hell on earth for me and we have to relive it all next week in court. Whilst you’re here having the time of your life. I’m sorry but I’m ending this discussion now. I just wanted to give you a heads up. So please let me go.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Too little too late, Drake.”

Drake’s emotions were now bursting at the seams. He knew everything was his fault, he just wanted to hold the woman he had rejected.

Drake pulled Riley towards him, and forced a kiss on her lips. She abruptly pushed him away.

Riley ran out of the room, hyperventilating- not giving Drake chance to respond. She was now regretting trying to be a friend. If it wasn’t for Liam she would have been straight on the plane back to New York.

Riley found her way back to the ballroom, it was quieter than it was before. People had began to leave- it had been an eventful night. She saw Liam and went straight towards him, he turned around and grinned at her.

“Hey.”

"Hello, beautiful. Did you find him?”

“Yes, he’s in his room. Drunk. He didn’t know what I was talking about. Probably too much whiskey eh?”

Lies- she knew that Drake could handle his booze. She regretted interfering. She should have just left it be.

“Yes, probably.” - Liam was having doubts. He knew exactly how Madeleine’s mind worked. He didn’t truly believe that Kiara was pregnant- he thought it was Madeleine’s way of stabbing Riley in the back as if she was a voodoo doll.

“So you said you wanted some alone time? What do you want to talk about? I’ll escort you to your room and we can talk if you want?”

“I’d like that.”

“Come on then m’lady.” - Liam whispered holding his hand out to Riley.

Riley and Liam bid their goodbyes to the others and strolled straight upto Riley’s room. She poured her King a glass of scotch- knowing it was his favourite drink. Riley and Liam sat on the edge of her bed, they stayed silent for a while. Liam adoringly looked at the beauty sat next to him.

“Thank you. So what do you want to talk about?”

“Us. I mean if there is a ‘us’ ?”

“What about us?”

“I want you Li. I want us to try again, get back to what we once were. If you want that too? I wanted to talk before on the balcony but you know...”

“Matchmaker Leo, interrupted.”

“Yeah...”

Riley looked down to the floor, maybe she was too honest? Was she rushing things? He had avoided what she had told him. She could do with some alcohol too, to calm her nerves. Liam held her hands in his, gently rubbing her knuckles with his thumb. He tipped her chin up, so her focus was looking directly at him.

“Ri, I love you. I always have. I want you back in my arms as mine. We can take it slow. I’m not rushing.”

Riley explored his baby blues- they provided the look of love and protection.

“I’m always going to be here for you no matter what happens. I should go. Bastien is waiting outside.”

“Stay, please... I haven’t been sleeping properly, can you stay until I fall asleep? If not - don’t worry, I’m sure Max will.”

“Get yourself ready. I’ll stay with you until you’re asleep Ri. I’ll wait outside with Bastien until you’re ready- to give you some privacy.”

Liam waited outside with Bastien. It felt awkward standing dormant in the corridor- thoughts racing through his mind. Why couldn’t she sleep? Why hadn’t Maxwell told him?

“Li? So this is why you snuck out early?”

“Leo, it’s not what it looks like. I’m not like you. She’s asked me to stay with her until she falls asleep.”

“Yeah, her nightmares are pretty intense. At least she’s got you now Li to hold her. See ya in the morning. I’ll have a coffee waiting for ya.”

Liam couldn’t be bothered with his brother pushing them both. He eagerly awaited for Riley to get ready- he wanted her to feel safe and loved. He was ready to get back to what they was too - back to what it was like before all the problems in the social season occurred. A second chance is all he wanted.

Liam repeatedly thought about what Leo had said - at least she’s got you now Li to hold her. His heart broke at the thought of her having nightmares- he blamed not only Drake but himself. She came to court a strong, adventurous woman- and they broke her. He now knew that he needed to fix her with the combined support from her friends. He slowly re-entered the room. Riley was sat on the floor, wearing a crop top and shorts- her hair was brushed into a tight ponytail.

“Hey! Thanks Li, I know I probably look stupid on the floor- but my counsellor told me Yoga and breathing is a good technique to relax. And I know I sound pathetic... but...”

“Ri, I understand it’s fine. I’m here, I’m going to protect you.”

Liam looked at Riley, she looked calm but still so fragile. He would stay awake all night if he had to- just to make sure she would get a good nights sleep. Because that’s how much he cared for her and loved her. She was still sat on the floor, legs crossed - twirling with her hair nervously. Liam joined her wrapping his arms around her- kissing her rosy cheek. She became more relaxed in his presence and sunk into his body.

“Are you tired? I can ask Max to stay?”

“Yes, but you’re my priority. I don’t have a meeting until tomorrow afternoon.”

“I’m sorry that I’m being such a burden.”

“You’re not a burden. Don’t worry.”

Riley stood up from the ground, bent down and kissed Liam catching him off guard, before guiding him over to the bed.

Liam passionately kissed her, she melted back into him- he was like a magnetic force pulling her to him at every opportunity. She removed his tuxedo, her hands roamed around his body. Liam pulled her closer to him, not wanting to let her go. His soft touch, felt every inch of her body. Her head fell back, as he kissed the sensitive parts of her neck and earlobe. Riley fell backwards onto the bed, Liam supporting her as he hovered over her. Both looking deeply into each other’s eye. Ever since the first night in New York, this is what it had all been leading up to. However, I am also a Singaporean. That means I multi task while watching TV - doing work, editing posts, etc. At the same time, I still can’t figure out why I can’t connect with others over the show I watch. 

I thought about it and realized there’s two reasons behind this: 

I watch non-mainstreams American shows which people in Singapore would not tend to watch

I mainly watch shows which are convenient - shows which are on starhub tv. I tend to not ‘follow up’ with the shows after they were off the network because I simply HAVE to multi task and I like camping in my living room.

Anyways, so here is the extensive list of shows I watch. As much as I could recall that is. They will be categories according to their genres. 

Action Drama 

Grey’s Anatomy | Scandal | The Catch

One of the best drama shows I watched are written by Shonda Rhimes. From Grey’s Anatomy to Scandal to The Catch, I watch them all. there’s just a hook to it that I can’t explain. It’s just amazing 

Teen Wolf

Supernatural creatures, hot guys, blood, six pacs, story line, Dylan O’Brien, beautiful ladies, great action, like what else do you want? 

White Collar 

For those of you who love The Catch, you would love White collar. Or should I say for those of you who love white collar you would love The Catch cause White collar came out first. Anyways the plot of these 2 are similar just that there’s handsome and hot Matt Bomer in white collar and his blue eyes are so dreamy .. what are we talking about again? 

Yeah, criminal trying to get out of doing jail time by joining the FBI and working cases for them but really, a leopard can’t change it’s spot can they?

Horror

Personally, I don’t really watch horror like ghosts or gore eg. Saw because No.

But American Horror Story is just different. It’s weird, it’s dark there’s a story line, there’s charming matt bomer and lady gaga. I don’t know why but it attracts me.

Family Drama

Glee

I know this is not really ‘family drama’ but it was really hot during the days and I like music. It’s more of the high school days, where all kind of people are dumped together and we’re expected to get along - but we really don’t.

Parenthood

This is a very touching show for you can literally see them grow up, getting married, parents growing old, next generation being born and so on. It’s them living a normal life, facing everyday problems we face, which is so heartwarming. It really reminds us that “We are too busy growing up that we forget that our parents are growing old.” A comic of the same theme is “For the better, For the worst.” Touching. 

Comedy

2 Broke Girls | Modern Family 

When life becomes epic, you should make it into a TV show. What I like about modern family and 2 broke girls are their snarky humour. 

Family Guy | American Dad | The Cleveland Show | The Simpsons

Family Guy is my favourite. They are not afraid to go the length, to talk about (sometimes insult) different cultures, shows and people. Makinig it both sacarstic and funny. American Dad and The Cleveland Show does have the same concept as family guy but family guy is still king. 

Whereas for The Simpsons, I felt that the humor and the poking at people’s button are still quick subtle so there’s not much of an impact. 

Reality TV

Married at First Sight 

This show literally is it’s title. They had experts evaluate these people and match them according to their personalities and background. Matchmaking. Then they live together as a married couple for 6 weeks. After 6 weeks they decide if they want to continue their marriage or divorce. Then, they will check in 6 months later to see if there’s any changes in the married couples and singles.    

The first season was nice with 2 couples out of 3 continuing their arranged marriage - one of the couple is expecting a baby now! However, the following seasons doesn’t seem to have much happy endings after 6 weeks which is such a waste for some of them. 

Seven Years Switch 

This is where couples whom are married or just together for a very long time try out switch therapy for they have been having troubles in their relationships. So they were 

Are you the one?

This is a mtv drama series. 10 male and 10 females were put n a mansion and they are supposed to find their perfect match to win alot of money. Like other MTV series (Jersey Shore), it’s dramatic. Season 1 is cool cause they got perfect matches and a pair even got married and having their second child now. 

However, the seasons thereafter, is not as exciting though :/

Dance Moms

Well, for those of you don’t know who Maddie Ziegler is, you need to get out more and view this:

Yes, she’s that dancer for SIA. A little back story, she’s on dance mom, in Abby Lee’s dance studio practicing for years on how to be a dancer before she made it. Along with the other dancers, Nia Sioux, Chloe Lukasiak (left in the earlier seasons), JoJo Siwa, Kalani Hilliker, Kendall Vertes, Mackenzie Ziegler (Maddie’s little sister), Brooke Hyland (left in the early season, the mother was actually Abby’s mother student), Paige Hyland (left in the early season and mother sue the school).

Anyways, the point is if you like screaming mothers, emotional situations and just drama in general, this is the show to watch. You can see how Abby is very bias towards Maddie - which leads to her success - and eventually Mackenzie too because of how their mother treat Abby. Although Abby seemed nuts on TV, she’s actually really cool on social media which is what I would like to call, TV magic. 

The Extremes 

Extreme Couponing | Extreme Cheapskate

If only extreme couponing is in Singapore, I would be busy couponing now instead of blogging. It’s really cool to see how people go to the extremes. I feel that extreme cheapskates is too far off the rear end for nobody should eat dumpster food. It’s just hygienic. 

Extreme Time Cheaters

Recently, there’s a new show where people are saving time to the extreme. I would say that these people will fit in to Singapore/Hong Kong’s culture like a glove but they need to stop exaggerating it. On this show there’s this guy which count his steps to ensure he save time but technically he is wasting more time counting steps. 

Animal shows

Cats 101 | Dogs 101

These shows, remind me why I am human. Not only I get to see cute animals and be happy, I get to learn about the different types of cuties there is too. 

My Cat from Hell

Cats are assholes. We all know that. This show have the same concept as Ceasar the dog training show but for cats. I don’t know it’s because I have a sudden interest in cats but I feel that just by watching this show, I learned so much.

Travel show

Watching shows are one way of ‘travelling’ without leaving your couch. Plus, you get to 'go to’ places which you know you never would travel to because of various reasons.

Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations | The Layover | Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown

I like how Anthony present things. You can tell he is the no BS kind of people and just say things to your face. Plus I love the parts unknown one where he goes to Lebanon and just talk to the locals, have them share their situation. It’s like a peak in their world, their culture. To understand to learn. 

Plus, the videography for the show is great. 

An Idiot Abroad 

This is basically a travel show where the producers force their unwilling friend, Karl Pilkington to go out of he’s comfort zone, travel the world and do crazy things like bungee etc. What’s funny is him being so sarcastic and opposing to these activities. Plus he makes a lot of sense. One of the most memorable quote which I remember from the show is when he was in a cave looking out at this beautiful palace - Petra Jordan - and he was like:

“ I'd rather live in a hole with a view of a palace than live in a palace with a view of a hole."

He added that in life, it’s better to be ugly looking at good looking people than to be good looking and looking at ugly people. You can view that short clip here:

Pornsak is a very entertaining host. Positive and interesting. Plus there’s food.

I tend to watch random chinese travel shows because in a way I’m building up my Chinese - for education via school fail me and they seemed more interesting. 

House viewing 

I don’t know if it’s because of age or what but I have been binge watching house viewing shows recently. 

Charlie Luxton Homes by the Sea | Charlie Luxton Homes by the Med

I love Charlie Luxton’s voice. It’s so calming. Plus all of his shows just makes you go “Wow” you never knew a house could look like that. I never knew a house could turn like that. It is truly incredible. If you love drone shots, you would love this show. 

Tiny House Hunting | Tiny House | Waterfront house hunting 

HDBs are getting smaller and smaller. So are houses in the states. Tiny house are the way to go. These are get ways to get inspirations on how to store your furniture. Whereas for waterfront house hunting, I guess, it’s for the rich but it’s nice to see though. 

Survival Shows

Naked and Afraid 

Before naked and afraid, there was bear grylls. My mother was obsessed with survival shows so I was force to watch them as well. Now that bear grylls got tired of drinking snake blood, his pee and slimy worms, there’s new shows which were inspired by his braveness. Naked and afraid is one of them. Where survivalists tries to survive nude in the forests / island for as long as possible. 

This list is honestly a little short for what I actually watch. However, I don’t remember all of the shows I watch and some of the show I watch are too crappy to be named. Aside from this, I also watch anime and Chinese shows too but this list is getting too long for a post. So I shall stop here.

Hold On

Part 13 - Jealous

Nobody got injured at the Homecoming ball, they all get separated into different safe houses- for safety.

Riley and Drake had confirmed that they had feelings for each other, however Drake believed Riley should be with Liam. Heartbroken, she moves back to New York. Only keeping in touch with Hana, Maxwell and Olivia.

Riley meets lawyer, Nate Cooper and begins a relationship with him. In Cordonia, Drake begins to court Kiara.

Nine months after Riley had left Cordonia- there is a reunion, but not the reunion the friends had hoped for.

The pair parted from their unexpected close encounter. Both their hearts, still racing, both wanting the moment to last longer. Liam had thought if Riley had regretted their kiss and if it was just a spur of the moment- due to her nerves. Was it lust or was it the start of a new beginning? Frustrated that it was his brother of all people interrupted them- the wind up merchant who was playing with both their heartstrings.

“I beg your pardon! Matchmaker? What on earth are you on about Leo? I think you’ve had too much to drink!”

Liam responded in a sarcastic manner towards his brother. Riley and Liam looked at each other - their moment was now over. Both their baby blues apologising to each other, looking at each other as if every ounce of breath was taken from their lungs.

“So? What’s happening with you two then?”

Leo insisted on the gossip, he was eager for his brother and friend to finally gain some closure and to restart their relationship.

“Nothing ‘Matchmaker’ Leo. You interrupted us talking.”

Riley said in a mischievous tone of voice, smiling up towards Liam- before he pulled her close to him- not giving a shit about who saw him show his obvious affections. She could feel his heartbeat. Her own heart fluttered.

“Oh sorry guys- is that what they call talking nowadays? But I doubt anything else would have happened out here... do you need me to plan your first date? We could double date...”

Leo winked at Liam, both Liam and Riley shook their heads. They were both consenting adults, when and if the time came they would decide between the both of them - without Leo being an audience member.

“Come on Riley, you’re cold- let’s return Drake’s jacket to him. Leo, I believe you should introduce Beth to everyone rather than try to ‘match-make’ people. Besides we don’t need your help -thank you. We are just friends.”

“Don’t bullshit me Li. Friends don’t kiss like what I’ve just witnessed. Friends don’t talk on the phone like you two do...”

They both ignored him, knowing he was right- they didn’t want to boost his ego anymore. Liam held out his hand to Riley, she hesitated at first- until she saw Leo encouraging the gesture. Their fingers intertwined as they re-entered the room.

Riley excused herself from Liam, and headed towards Drake to return his jacket. Observing that Kiara was stood with him, practically drooling over him- she hesitated at first. She felt awkward going over to her ex and his new partner. If she was to stay in Cordonia she couldn’t avoid them both for eternity. Deeply breathing, she arrived placing an Oscar winning style smile on her face. Even though, the circumstances were difficult- Riley’s parents taught her to respect everyone.

“Lady Riley, it’s so good to see you.”

“And you too Lady Kiara. Here Drake. Thank you for lending me your jacket. I hope you are both having a good night, excuse me - Liam and Leo are waiting for me. Take care.”

Riley knew she had to keep the conversation short and simple, the tension was already building and Drake looked as if he had been crying. Riley had noticed his puffed up red eyes- she smiled softly at her ex. Kiara looked at Drake, then back at Riley. A bit of jealousy hit her nerves. She could see Drake staring longingly at Riley as she walked away back into the direction of Liam and Leo.

“So, you lent Riley your jacket?”

“Leave it out Ki. She was cold. I wasn’t going to let her freeze to death.”

“You’ve never worried about me being cold. Are you still in love with her? I want the truth, Drake.”

“Yes, Kiara. I still have feelings for her. I always will- she was carrying my baby. But I’m with you... Do you want to dance?”

Kiara felt heartbroken. She believed she was going to be in competition with the New Yorker. She couldn’t lose Drake- not now.

“Of course Sir Walker.”

The guests all paired up, Liam bowed to Riley- she returned a curtsy.

“Lady Riley, will you do me the honour in joining me for this dance?”

“Of course, your Majesty.”

Liam guided Riley onto the dance floor- placing one hand carefully on her tiny waist and his other hand placed into hers. His eyes never left hers, then he noticed that all eyes were on the pair. Even after all this time she remembered the moves- Riley looked elegant, and gracefully floated around the shiny floor. She twirled effortlessly, before Liam pulled her close to him- gently cupping her cheek with one hand. Her body melted into his body, his touch made her soon feel warmer.

“Why are you smiling? Scared I would forget how to Waltz and show you up, your Majesty?”

“Never. You’d never show me up, Ri. I’m just feeling lucky to have you here with us- with me.”

Riley rested in the nook of his neck as they swayed to music. Liam just wanted to whisk her away from prying eyes, but knew he didn’t want to push her- if there was any hope of rekindling their relationship he needed to take it at a slow pace.

The music had stopped, and the friends sat back down. Riley was talking to Beth, Olivia and Hana. Their conversation was rudely interrupted.

“Ah Lady Riley, it’s so good to see that you’ve resurrected- they should call you Jesus.”

Recognising the voice, Riley turned around providing the blonde with a fake smile. She knew she had to stay calm even though she would gladly enjoy punching her lights out- New York style.

“Oh Countess Madeleine, did you miss me?”

Riley hated her. Everyone hated her. Beth could now match a face to the description of the snake that the Rhys brothers had warned her about. She was so proud of her friend acting civil- if it was up to Beth, the two New Yorkers would be giving Madeleine hell.

“Hardly. You know I don’t like you. What are you doing back? Ready to whore around? Who’s next on your list? Leo? The Beaumont’s? Or are you going to go back to your old ways flitting between the King and the commoner.”

Riley felt a rage burning inside her body, her fists and jaw clenched. Beth held her friends hand encouraging her to keep civil. She knew Riley could fight her own battles. And she knew that no one would let the jealous blonde win.

“Oh, Maddy. Are you jealous or something? Jealous that you couldn’t get your hands on them? And for your information- how can I be a whore? The only person I slept with was Drake. And trust me, it was a mistake- we both agreed on that. We are still friends.”

“A mistake? Maybe from your point of view. Why is he still looking at you then? The star crossed lovers look.”

Riley looked over her shoulder and saw Drake shake his head, sorrow in his already puffed up eyes. She believed he must have overheard her and Madeleine’s conversation.

“Why do you always have to cause shit Madeleine?”

“Calm down Riley. We don’t want you spiralling out of control again. What’s next the rope?”

Liam and Leo heard the commotion as Riley jumped out of her seat, and stood directly in front of the Countess. Her face turning a darker shade of red, her jaw clenching harder after every comment made. The men both sprinted over to her, Liam pushed Riley out of the way before she regretted doing something she would regret. Riley didn’t need to stoop as low, playing into snakes games.The King began to have a stand off with his ex fiancée.

“Madeleine leave her alone now, or I’ll ask Bastien to remove you.” - he told her sternly. He knew she would back down to the most powerful person in the room.

“I’m sorry, Your Majesty. Lady Riley I’m sorry for causing you any distress. I better go and find Lady Kiara. This morning sickness isn’t doing her any good. Toodles.”
