You had just recently moved in to a new neighborhood with your boyfriend, Todoroki Shoto.Â
Your blissful domestic life with him was just about to begin and life couldnât get any better than this. and yet...Â
sometimes you wish you could do more for him.Â
The two of you met when you were hired to work at his fatherâs agency, stealing glances at him by the reception area whenever you came in for work, and coincidentally getting into the same elevator as him. Not knowing that he was woefully smitten with you too. It was only through the probing of your co-workers that you had drunkenly confessed to him at a company party and he had (soberly) confessed to you too.
That was where everything started.Â
That was how you and the No. #3 Pro-hero got together.
Sometimes, it made you think if you were even worthy of his love.Â
You were just a hero with a support quirk; with it being used for more science and field-related work as your powers made you manifest and create drinkable liquids that could change the physical appearance of a person (make them invisible, turn them into an animal, or even turn them back into a child or into an elderly person) for a limited time and depending on how strong or weak the solution. This means that through your quirk, you are able to tamper with a personâs DNA through these concoctions without any consequences. It was a powerful quirk, just like magic, yes, but can it be used for offense? Sadly not.
Shotoâs quirk was the exact opposite. Bearing the quirk of fire and ice, he was the definition of perfection. The perfect quirk, the perfect combination of two exact opposite elements, and how adept he is at using both of them. Often praised and hailed by the public for not only being extremely powerful, but also for how painstakingly handsome he is. You were just waiting for some controversial tabloid to talk about the No. 3 Pro Hero and his girlfriend who was way out of his league.Â
Shoto constantly reassures you not to worry about them, never failing to calm you down with his gentle I love youâs and forehead kisses whenever he sees you tensed up and nervous, and never failing to tell you that you are the light of his life and his strength to continue fighting. and yet, it still worries you sometimes.
Today marks your 2 year anniversary.Â
The two of you decide to go out on a simple date tonight at one of the best-reviewed restaurants in the neighborhood as the two of you were busy with throwing out the moving boxes and unwrapping your furniture, combined with the hero work that the two of you do during the day. Completely ruling out the possibility of being able to plan an elaborate anniversary date.Â
But, it was alright. As cheesy as Shoto makes it sound, no day can ever become the worst, as long as heâs spending it with you.Â
âAh~ Those crepes were super yummy! Plus, the cafe was really cute!â You beam with a satisfying yawn, the two of you walking side by side, hand holding the other, and his arm wrapped around your shoulder for that extra warmth against the cold summer night.Â
âYea. There was a classy vibe to it. That was my first time trying a galette, and I must say that was tasty.â He remarks, turning to you. Your radiant and lively energy was infectious and he canât help but smile. âLeave it to Mina and Sato to know all the best restaurants, I suppose.â
You nod contentedly and the two of you continue to walk back home in silence. Shoto looks around, taking in the sight and wondering if he could point out any small details about your surroundings that could make you laugh or smile. He notices a small shadow perk up from beneath a bush and he casually points at it. âHmm? (Y/N), look over there.âÂ
You follow Shotoâs gaze and also notice the small shadowy figure. âOh?â
The quiet sound of a purr could be heard from the bush. The two of you wait a little bit for the creature to reveal itself. A black cat pounces out of the plant, itâs beautiful green eyes staring back at you. âMeoooow.â
The cat walks up to you and you crouch down, putting your hand out, and wait patiently. Sure enough, the cat nuzzles against it.Â
âAhhh sheâs so cute.â You observe the cat a bit more and notice itâs femme feline features. Shoto crouches down next to you and pats itâs head. Clearly the kitty seems to enjoy all this attention as sheâs purring up a storm. âShe is.âÂ
You glance at Shoto and notice how his eyes glimmered a different blue-grey light as he continued to play with the kitten. Pure bliss present in his face. His handsome and soft features make you blush, with the heat rising up to your cheeks, you quickly turn away before Shoto could notice you.
Bingo.
What if you turned into a Cat Girl and made Shoto⊠ya knowâŠ
It was a simple formula after all. You could whip up a concoction, sprinkle in a little bit of natural aphrodisiac and thatâs it! The recipe to the sexiest and kinkiest night of your life! Maybe you could show your love to Shoto in a different way than most girlfriends do to their boyfriends no?
âAHAH!â You suddenly jump up from the ground, your boyfriend perks up a little bit in surprise too. You then bring out your phone and begin scrolling through your notes. âSho-kun! Come on! Letâs get home!â You grab his hand and drag him away. He adjusts his running to your pace, smiling at your sudden burst of eagerness and excitement. âAlright alright, love. Be careful so we donât trip.â
That night, you told Shoto to not wait for you as you had to brew up some potions for tomorrow as specially requested by a hero from your agency. Although reluctant at first to leave you, he intently watched you work your magic at the little science lab in your house. The smell of the strong chemicals waft around the living room, prompting him to retreat back to your bedroom, but not without a quick kiss (that was about to turn into a make out session) before bed.Â
âHappy anniversary, Love.â Shoto holds you by the waist, resting his head on your shoulder. The two of you swaying slightly to the non-existent rhythm and this makes you almost want to go to bed with him. âShall we continue this tomorrow?â He peppers kisses down your neck, you giggle in response.Â
âWe shall.â You turn to him and deliver a kiss to his lips. You pull away before you could even begin to think of yearning for more. âIâm sorry if we had to cut our anniversary short. Itâs your day off tomorrow right? I promise Iâll make it up to you.â
He nods first before giving you one last kiss, this time on the forehead. âGoodnight (Y/N). I love you.âÂ
âI love you too.â He pulls away. you watch him leave your lab first and make sure heâs out of sight before you get back to work.Â
After a few more hours of solving the formula and crafting the recipe for a potion that doesnât necessarily turn you into a cat, but rather, give you only cat ears and a cat tail, yu bring out a thermos bottle from the cupboard and pour in the liquid solvent along with the natural aphrodisiac. You stir it a little bit before using your quirk to add the finishing touch and to make it a viable and an actually working potion.Â
âCanât wait to drink this tomorrow.â You snicker to yourself, as you pour all of the liquid onto the thermos, storing it in the fridge and then proceed to go to your bedroom and finally hit the sack.
âAHH IâM LATE!â You rush out of the bedroom, messy bedhead hair, your hero suit not even fully zipped up, mismatched socks, and your bag tossing and turning, most of the contents falling out, your thermos being one of them. âIâM LATE FOR WORK! BYE! I LOVE YOU!â You greet Shoto who was eating his breakfast in the kitchen, planting him a farewell kiss on the cheek as you dash your way out of the house.Â
âI l-love you too.â He bids goodbye with a wave, but you werenât even there to hear it anymore. Shotoâs eyes cast downward, a bit disappointed that he wasnât even able to greet you properly this morning and how your anniversary date felt so short even though you promised each other you would spend more time together later today.Â
He then notices your water bottle on the ground. A sticky note that was labeled âDrink me!â was attached to it and of course as every other person would react once they see a note like that,
Shoto thought that was for him.Â
âSHO! IâM BACK!â You call out to him, closing the door behind you. âSho~?â You sing-song, peering through the kitchen and the living room but your boyfriend was nowhere to be seen. âWhere are youuu?â You continue to traverse through your house, looking for him. You grind to a halt when you notice your thermos bottle on top of the dining table⊠All empty.
Oh no.
Oh no no no no.
âShoto!â You call out, your voice cracking with nervousness. You rush to your bedroom, hoping and praying that he was there. Only⊠for the lights to be out.Â
âSho?â Your hand reaches out for the light switch. But, you hesitate. What if a demon had kidnapped your boyfriend and you had to save him!? What can your quirk even do to save him!?
â(Y/N)...â He finally responds. Although his tone was soft and still a bit suspicious, you breathe a sigh of a relief and finally turn on the lights.
The lights illuminate the room to reveal your boyfriend in his usual turtleneck fit that you always ogle at. You look up and down, noticing that this is still the same man you know and love and nothing bad actually happened untilâŠÂ
You look up and behind him.
Heâs still the same man you know and love.Â
Just this time however. heâs a cat boy.Â
âI drank the potion that you made.â He says ever so casually, nothing ever fazes him as usual. âIt had a âdrink me!â sticky note attached to it and I thought it was for me.â He continues to speak plainly. You thought you could get out of this situation scotch-free and you didnât have to explain to your loving boyfriend what had happened to him. That was until he crossed his arms, his feet tapping the ground, and his cat tail waving behind him. âPlease explain to me why I am now a cat boy.âÂ
âWellâŠâ You began twiddling with your fingers, trying your very best not to make eye contact with him or else you would end up squealing in delight because of how adorable he looked. âYou see, I made this potion to turn me into a cat girl so that I can⊠ya know⊠please you and stuff. I saw how affectionate you were with the cat we saw last night so.. I guess you can consider this as my late anniversary gift to you?â You laugh sheepishly, still trying your best not to look at him as his gaze intensifies.Â
Shotoâs black and white cat ears twitch as he tries to stifle a laugh. âFine. I forgive you. This will wear off eventually right?â You nod in response and Shotoâs shoulders slump down in relief. He was about to approach you and envelop you in a hug, until his legs wobbled midway and he practically fell down onto the floor.Â
You rush to him and help him stand up, propping himself on the bed. âSho⊠are you alright love?â
He starts breathing heavily, cat ears twitching once again, fingers trembling, lips quivering, and his face as red as a tomato. â(Y/N)... what was even in that potion you made?â
You suddenly remember the aphrodisiac you added to the recipe.
Oh no no no no (2)
Shoto suddenly turns away from you before you could notice the bulge rising in his pants. He covers his face in embarrassment, refusing to look at you.Â
âI also added some aphrodisiac and some catnip into the potion ahahahaâŠâ You scratch the back of your neck. Shoto turns to you again, his eyes glowing like that of a cat and giving off a smoldering feeling. He shifts your position, gently yet somehow arduously pinning you down on the bed. He steps closer, hands moving up your sides, going around your back, pulling you flush against him. Shoto nips at your earlobe, sending sparks through you.Â
You bite back a moan as he kisses your neck, his tongue hot, the gentle scrape of his teeth (slightly sharped like that of fangs) leaving you shivering.Â
The two of you stop for a bit. He breaks the kiss to rest his forehead against yours. Tension coils around him, barely contained energy. As if Shoto is preventing himself from showing you his animalistic and feline hunger wanting to ravage you.
âC-can I-â
Before Shoto could even utter another word, you grab his face and pull him back into a desperate kiss, capturing his gasp and the throaty moan that follows. You capture his mouth with yours, and he responds eagerly, his kiss fervent, all his restraint crumbling at your touch.Â
He kisses your chin, and you tip your head back as he trails his lips down your neck, murmuring praise.
He lays you down, hiking your shirt up, tossing it to the floor, then deftly unhooking your bra, and exposing your breasts. You giggle and reach for his pants, unzipping the fly and getting a little thrill when you see the huge bulge in his boxers.Â
You push up his turtleneck sweater to admire his abs and Shoto smiles back at you seductively.Â
âLike what you see?â He says teasingly, a little quip that he barely does when the two of you make love, his husky voice makes your stomach swoop.
âI can only tell you if you purr first.â You tease back, running your fingers over his cat ears. Shoto feels the tickling sensation build up inside of him, slowly about to give in to his raw animal instincts. While you continue to run your fingers through his cat features, he begins to suck and nibble on your breasts. You feel yourself get lost in his gentle caress, barely even notice him pulling off your panties and sliding them off between your legs. Shotoâs fingers slowly slide into your womanhood, as if testing out the waters. He works them in and out for a bit, then pulls them out, brings them to his mouth, and licks them.Â
Like a kitten licking its milk.Â
âShoâŠâ
You feel the last of Shotoâs restraint break as his cat ears twitch again, you can practically feel the energy crackling around him, and the hunger in his eyes more evident than a while ago. Shoto then braces his arms beside your head, as he slots his hips between your thighs. You rise up to meet him, a low moan spilling from your lips.Â
â(Y/N)... Iâm going to put it in nowâŠâ
You bite your lip and nod in confirmation.Â
Shoto gently sets a slow pace, your head spins at the sensation and the arousal coursing through you, your hips rolling to meet the movements of his cock. As he enters, the thrilling sensation courses through you again and your mind feels like it just melted.Â
You gently rub his cat ears again, and his cock twitches inside of you, the enthralling reaction resulting in a shudder of pleasure shooting through your body, unlike anything youâve ever felt before. And that pleasure transmits to Shoto loud and clear from your pussy.Â
Meanwhile, his breathing was ragged, more wild and animalistic than normal. Which is to be expected due to the potion but⊠this hot and intense feeling radiating off of him was different.Â
And you love it.
âI-I feel like Iâm losing controlâŠâ
As Shoto speaks, he slams his cock into you, making your legs shake and you moaning louder than you should. Everything seems more intense, from his thrusting to the look on his eye.Â
At this point, itâs getting harder and harder to form a coherent sentence.Â
âIs it alright if I go faster?â Shoto says softly, you hold his hand in reassurance, unable to respond properly as every intense emotion running inside of you makes you let out hitched and breathy moans instead.Â
Shoto pulls out halfway, then slams back inside of you, making a loud sticky sound.
The two of you were acting like animals in heat.Â
âA-ah! Shoto!â You mewl out, each of Shotoâs thrust hitting an undiscovered part of your insides. Spurred on by your voice, his pace further increases, until youâre both moving frantically. You gasp at his intensity, at the weight and heat of his body pinning you down.
â(Y/N)! Iâm going to-âÂ
You wrap your legs around his waist, urging him on, and his fluffy tail briefly brushes against you. Shotoâs body tenses up as he prepares to unload inside of you.
Shotoâs body spasms- including his tail. Waves of pleasure flood over you as his semen shoots full-force into your depths.
The two of you gaze into each otherâs eyes for a minute before he slowly lays himself next to you, his feline features slowly disappearing as you try to catch your breath.
âL-look they disappeared with one whoosh.â You say in between pants and giggles, Shoto covering the two of you with your bed duvet, chuckling along with you/
âNext time, please label things properly and tell me if you added any sort of ingredient that could increasingly highten my sex drive.â He says with an exasperated sigh, yet satisfaction plastered all over his face as he looks at you lovingly. âI love you (Y/N). Happy anniversary⊠nya~â He whispers the last few words, shooting you a wink.Â
Your eyes widen, your mouth forming into an O like that one Chris Pratt meme. âY-you just saidâŠâ
âLetâs h-have a nap and just have some late dinner instead.â He shushes you by planting a kiss on your forehead.Â
You were about to protest, but as soon as Shoto shut his eyes, you didnât bother doing so anymore.
You plant a kiss on his knuckles, snuggling closer to him. âI love you too Sho. Happy anniversary.â

Can we have a hella needy (to the point near crazed) dom Hange annihalating a GN reader's cognitive functions with a strap? Thanks :D
I certainly can. đ
Hange just awakens something in me...
GN reader X Hange
Warning: NSFW 18+ SMUT. Mouth spitting. Slight deg. Strap on.
âLevi, did you need section A3b put with the Research grant, or the Research progress report?â You ask, holding up two rather large chunks of paper work.
Leviâs eyes flicker up to you from his standing position at a table in Hangeâs office; elbow deep in his own work.Â
âI have no idea.â He mutters honestly. âAsk shitty glasses.âÂ
You turn to look at Hange who was usually at her desk in the corner. âHange, do I pu-âÂ
You freeze when you notice sheâs staring at you intently, her elbows on the desk and covering her mouth with her entwined fingers; her eyes dark and an eyebrow raised. You knew that look. She was so deep in thought that you would probably have to rouse her from her daydream.Â
âHange?âÂ
âOi, wake up.â Levi scolds, throwing a wooden pen-pot in her direction.Â
She flinches as it crashes onto the surface of her desk.Â
âHm?â She blinks. âSorry. I was miles away.âÂ
âWe know.â Levi mumbles with a cold glare from his steely eyes. âWhich file do we put A3b into?âÂ
âBoth. You need two copies.âÂ
You and the captain both let out an exasperated sigh, pulling out an extra sheet of paper and readying your quills.Â
Her chocolate pooled eyes return to you, her mind slowly sinking back into her daydream as if she were sliding into a hot bath. Those beautiful orbs latch onto your form, drinking you in deeply. Youâd assumed she was pondering some science thing like she usually did. But unbeknownst to you and Levi, under her desk her legs were crossed tightly, her crotch thudding and pulsing with intense yearning for you. There was just something about you that just ignited the kerosene of her wildest, most feral desires.Â
The way you moved for example; to anyone else youâre just... moving. But to her its like your movements are pronounced, your unique mannerisms standing out as if the air around you were a liquid and you just sort of...stood out.Â
And those eyes... that smile... that ass.
You and Hange Zoe had been dating for a little while now, but it wasnât too often you got to spend time alone these days. Erwin was really piling on the workload and the much needed anti-stress hormones only added fuel to the fire.Â
Her thighs tense and squeeze together, hardly not able to take the hot gushing sensation her body was providing her with; her skin heating up as she watches your furrowed brow concentrate on your writing.
She runs a hand through her hair in frustration, her leg beginning to bounce up and down with impatience.Â
Come on, Levi. Hurry and finish your work... She silently pleads, her nails now digging into the wood of the chair her own perfect ass was placed upon.Â
Her eyes enlarge when you bite your lip in concentration - the last time she saw you do that was when you were riding her face into glory. Your cum so deliciously sweet and filling. Who needed food if she had your bodily fluids to feast upon?Â
She relives the moments youâd come undone at her doing, your cries of pleasure melodic, your facial expressions as you -
âIâm done.â Levi finally sighs with relief, head rolling back to your direction. âYou need any help? Or can I go and take a shit?âÂ
âTheyâre fine.â Hange snaps her head up. âIâll help them if they need it.âÂ
âOkay.â Levi shrugs. âDonât torture them too much.â he heads for the door.Â
Oh if only he knew.
Hange gets to her feet, slowly circling to the other side of her desk as he makes his way to the door, trying to hold herself back as much as possible during those torturous last few seconds of Captain Leviâs presence.Â
She follows him to the door feigning a yawn as he opens the door.Â
âGoodnight, Levi.âÂ
âNight.âÂ
Not even a second after he leaves the threshold of her office, she slams the door behind him and locks it, the loud bang catching your attention.Â
âH-hange?â You ask, noticing her expression as she stalks towards you - The very same she rarely showed when she was about to go ape shit over something. âS-sorry, iâm almost done I swea-âÂ
She silences you by yanking your hair and slapping her lips off yours, tongue instantly sliding down your throat with no reservations. Her free hand rips your shirt before you even have time to register whatâs going on. Her hands ravish you, like a person whoâd been staved for days, finally able to get their hands on a human sized piece of meat.Â
âTake off your pants. Now.â She growls.Â
The authority in her voice sends an immediate rush of arousal down between your legs, yet you were still trying to take in what was going on. You automatically obey, sliding your trousers down your thighs, her hand grabbing your sex as soon as it tasted the fresh air.Â
âThis is mine.â She growls, her teeth nipping your neck. âAnd I demand to use it. Right now.âÂ
You nod, lips parting. âY-yes maâam...âÂ
In a flash she has you bent over, face on the desk sticking to the now not-so-neat stack of papers, your hands pinned behind your back as she harshly takes her free hand and slithers it around your body, starting to rub and caress between your legs, her crotch grinding against your bare ass as her clit demands your friction.Â
Her long body leans down and caresses her face into your nape, hand still working you as you whine, her hips rolling against your soft flesh.Â
âmmm...â She groans in your ear, âYour body is mine. I can do what I like to you.â She reinforces this with a territorial sinking of her teeth, sucking your neck and leaving a nice darkening mark upon your flesh.Â
Hange is beyond feral.Â
She crossed that bridge an hour ago when youâd dropped your papers and bent over in front of her.Â
She was now well within the territory of hysteria.Â
Her grinds become more desperate, your shoulders hurting from how she hand you pinned, but it was complimented deliciously from how her hand and fingers were attentive to your sex, your knees weak as her hot breath invades you in the best possible way.Â
She suddenly spins you around, the relief of her grasp making you sigh deeply while you watch her remove her own trousers and unveiling her pussy - her arousal leaking from her lips and spreading to her thighs and ass as she harshly pushes you down onto your knees, pushing herself into your mouth with a high pitched whine.Â
âGood little soldier...â She hums, eyes closing and head throwing back as her hands rock your head at her own pace, totally under her control. âYou make me feel so... ah~! so good.â Â
The taste of your lovers thick juices makes you whine like a little lap dog, wanting nothing more than for her to totally ruin you like the little bitch you were for her.
Her over sensitive slit that was good to blow at the best of times began to flex and quake, her loud moans warning you she was about to detonate.
Your eyes enlarge as she screams your name again and again into the heavens, her orgasm igniting the flames of your own yearning as she cusses and swears, her grip on your hair becoming tighter.
She begins to laugh softly as she comes back down to earth, the euphoria of finally having you possessing her - that succubus within her clawing its way to the surface as she throws you back onto the desk with ease, reaching into the drawer.
She'd been prepared.
She knew you were going to be in her office this evening and she wasn't about to let this chance of annihilating you slip through her starved fingers.
"Hange..." You whine in wanting when she pulls out her large strap, not taking her snug eyes off you as she fastens it to herself, adjusting it with such familiarity she didn't need to look down.
Running her tongue up your neck and into your ear, she lines it up to you, the anticipation a disgusting drug that made you feel almost ashamed to be excited to be destroyed by this magnificent woman. Hange turns you into something you weren't too familiar with, but you didn't care; especially as she slides it into you after spitting down onto your entrance.
You cry out as she thrusts, the friction on her clit from the toy enticing an evil grin as she fills you to the brim over and over again - that wild insane gleam in her eye as she smirks at you was enough to hurtle you into your own corner of lustful insanity.
"Beg for me" she hisses with malice, grabbing your face with force.
"Hange! Oh my god! Please! Harder!"
Her nails dig into your cheeks as she graces your wish, slamming herself roughly in and out of you, watching your eyes roll and cross, your body becoming a pile of mush in the palm of her hand.
She gives your cheek a squeeze. "Open."
You obey, parting your lips and flattening your tongue as she gathers spit at her lips, pushing it out with her wet muscle and watching you swallow it like it were holy water - a sinner desperate for their retribution.
Her hips slam harder, the desk clanking everything that were in the drawers as your orgasm quickly hurtles towards you.
"Cum for me." She commands.
You heard the scream. But it didn't feel like it came from you. But apparently it did as your body explodes into waves of white hot surges, rolling through you over and over again, your jaw slackening, still in Hange's grasp, your tongue falling out - the sight of this pushing your lover back into that higher plane of existence her own loud cries almost harmonising with yours and you both blindly tumble down into the void.
Hange had wanted - no needed you for days. The supernova of finally having you was more than heavenly as your ruined sex gets pushed into ecstasy again and again. Hange really does bring some dark shadow aspect of yourself to the surface. You really were just her bitch.
And you love it.

Reading Info:
Rating: 18+
Reading Type: Single - Couple
Requested: Yes - No
Deck: E. A. Poe
Spread: Kinky*
Questions:
Position

Kink
Dirtiest Secret*
Full Name: Kang Hyung Gu
Stage Name: Kino
Group: Pentagon
Masterpost: Pentagon
Kang Hyung Gu
Kino (Pentagon)
Deck: E. A. Poe
Spread: Kinky*
Position - 3 of Swords
Kino is more likely to take a submissive role in a relationship. He prefers to be pampered, spoiled and taken care of by someone. He longs to be loved unconditionally and truthfully by someone dear to him. Heâs likely to have trust issues, though and it might be difficult for him to commit to someone. His lover needs to be patient and show Kino kindness and understanding.
Libido - VII The Chariot
Kino is pretty much driven by his passions and desires. Heâs likely to feel strong urges and tension but heâs in charge of these most of the time and he can control himself very well. On the surface he might look calm and cheerful, underneath his fantasy comes up with the most sexual scenarios he can think of. Usually with someone overpowering him and bossing him around.
Turn On - XVII The Star
While being submissive and his imagination creating the perfect dominatrix fantasies, Kino is likely to feel attracted to a kindhearted and beautiful person inside out. He wants to be dommed but at the same time he needs to be sure his lover will treat him lovingly. This person is likely honest and fair and will likely ooze good energy wherever they go. They donât have to fit in the beauty standards but they still attract people with their gentle smile and glowing eyes.
Kink - Page of Swords
We have mentioned it before and the theme repeats. Kino is likely to get horny over the image of controlled dangerous situations. His lover can use whatever they find fit to dominate him and get him on his knees begging but at the end of the game, Kino needs to be rewarded and called a good boy.
Dirtiest Secret* - 8 of Swords
No surprise again. The dirtiest thing Kino can think of is being at complete mercy to his lover, tied up with ropes, blindfolded, gagged, oblivious of whatâs happening around him, being teased at random moments, driven crazy, tension being build up to the the unbearable level, being edged and denied release for hours till heâs bathing in sweat and whining, moaning whimpering, desperate for final satisfaction. While he can go for hours like that, he truly needs the final release to come, though. If thereâs no proper ending, he will lose trust in his lover, feel hurt and wonât agree to do this again.
Sorry, I know Kino was not planned but I woke up feeling a strong urge to do his reading. I hope you won't be mad at me for it. đ
Thank you for reading!

Paloma, Part I
Series Masterlist - Part I - Part II
Word count: 4100+
Rating: mature, 18+ only
Outline: Statesman!Frankie "Catfish" Morales, Agent Jack âWhiskeyâ Daniels, and "You" (OC cis/het female reader, Statesman research analyst, code name âPalomaâ; age 26; reader is âblank canvasâ/no physical description/no use of âY/Nâ)
Warnings: fully legal age gap; curse words; references to M/F sex; lots of yearning; a little sprinkling of angst; American readers, please be warned that this piece features the absolutely filthy fantasy of Statesman paying off your student loans in full
You left Kentucky on a sunny June morning with a rolling suitcase, six cardboard boxes, and a heart full of golden light. You were ready for the new challenges of your promotion and the move to New York, but it was still hard to quell the little butterflies that insisted on dancing and twirling in your gut. Statesman HQ was like a beacon that had been calling to you for the last three years, and you were half-convinced that the promotion and the move were a daydream; something that would be snatched out of your hands if you thought about it too much.
It was strange to leave Kentucky, your home since you were four years old. You had been raised in a small town about an hour south of Louisville, and you hadn't had the opportunity to leave until college. Even then you didn't travel very far, just to a dorm room at the University of Louisville, going back to your hometown for every vacation instead of flying off to California or Europe like some of your more glamorous friends.
You had put your time to good use, though. You busted your ass and completed an accelerated program in Criminal Justice that earned you both a Bachelor's and a Master's in one go, with a minor in statistics and data science. The result was a deep and abiding love of research and analysis, with the burning desire to do good in the world.
---
The Friday morning of your graduation ceremony, you emerged from your apartment fresh-faced and giddy, ready to walk the stage and start the next phase: adult life in the "real world." You knew that your life was about to change, but as you juggled the garment bag with your cap and gown and tried to lock your door, you had no idea just how much. You heard a soft voice say your name behind you, and it made you jump and drop your purse, spilling the contents across your doorstep. You turned to see a woman of about 40, with flawless terra-cotta skin and an adorable mop of chestnut hair. Black horn-rimmed glasses framed bright, inquisitive eyes. She immediately bent to help you retrieve your belongings, stammering gentle apologies.
"I'm so sorry! Let me help you get your things. I didn't mean to scare you." She smiled sweetly at you and handed you back your sunglasses and lip gloss.
"No! It's fine, I'm sorry I'm so preoccupied." You lifted the garment bag by way of explanation. "Graduation day! Um, how can I help you?"
"You don't know me, but my name is Ginger. I work for an organization that recruits bright young minds like yours. It's a lot to explain, but if you're interested in a job interview next week, we'd love to talk with you." She handed you a creamy white business card with a Louisville address.
You frowned. "Statesman Distillery? I don't have any experience with alcohol production or marketing. I do data analysis and my degrees are in criminal justice."
"We know. We've been following your research and your schooling for a while." She gave you a mischievous smile, and it looked for all the world like she was hiding something fun behind it, something secretive and intriguing that made you want to know more.
"Please, just give me an hour of your time next week? When you have some time to pay us a visit, just call that number and ask for me. I'm really looking forward to chatting with you."
You thanked her and promised you would call, and then you tucked the card into your bag and forgot all about it for nearly a week. Graduation day was hectic, with lots of relatives visiting and interrogating you about your career plans, and the days afterward were spent attending parties and saying goodbye to friends who were scattering to far-flung places. After you had finished the last of your university-related errands like returning a few library books and picking up your official transcript, there wasn't much left to do except putter around your apartment and take a few days off before beginning a job search. Those student loans weren't going to pay themselves off.
You found Ginger's card in your purse on Wednesday morning and put it on the fridge with a magnet. On Thursday you were so hungover you didn't want to make any calls. On Friday you found yourself at loose ends with nothing planned, so you picked up the phone and dialed. When you reached the switchboard you gave your name and asked for Ginger, and they put you right through. She picked up after one ring, as if she had been waiting for your call.
"Hi! I'm so glad you called me! Can you come by today?" Ginger sounded genuinely excited to talk to you, not smarmy or fake like other corporate recruiters you had spoken with.
"Oh, uh, yeah. I mean, yes, thank you. Are you sure today's okay? I can come next week if that's better."
"No! Please come whenever you're ready. I'm really hoping you'll like what you see."
"Okay, will I need to dress up? Will I be meeting with anyone for an interview? Should I bring copies of my resume?" You wanted to make a good impression, but you weren't sure if this was just something the distillery did casually, like a winery tour, or if you would need to be ready for a formal interview.
"Nope! Just bring yourself! We already know everything we need to know about your qualifications."
"Ah... okay. I'm all yours. I'll see you in about an hour?"
"Perfect! I'll leave your name at the front gate with the guard. Just show them your ID and they'll wave you through."
You said your goodbyes and put the phone down. What kind of data analysis job was even available at a distillery? Market trends? Did they need a criminal justice major for tracking down rip-offs, like people counterfeiting their product? But wait, didn't the government do that kind of thing? The ATF? You shook your head clear of questions and hopped in the shower. You could ask Ginger all of your questions, since she seemed to be so happy to talk with you.
When you arrived at the Statesman Distillery an hour later, you were impressed at the size of the facility. Distilleries were pretty common in the state of Kentucky, with lots of little family companies sprinkled around. But Statesman rivaled the big names for sheer square footage.
Ginger met you in a conference room and offered you coffee, and then asked you to sign a non-disclosure agreement. You didn't think twice about it. NDAs were common in lots of industries, and you guessed that it had something to do with trade secrets, Statesman not wanting to leak information about their whiskey production details. When Ginger began the tour and you walked down a long hallway with multiple sparkling white laboratories behind thick glass, you found it unusual, but not alarming. Cleanrooms, maybe? Something to do with alcohol distillation formulas, probably.
When she ushered you into a large wood-paneled office and introduced you to Champ, the head of Statesman, you thought it was odd. Companies didn't normally introduce new college graduates to executives during tours. Based on the size of the organization, you thought you might meet the CEO or President once or twice a year, maybe at a holiday party or a company retreat. But he was friendly, and he seemed to have already heard of you; his eyebrows raised an inch at Ginger when she gave him your name. He also seemed far more interested in criminal justice and data analysis than you expected for a distillery executive, but you shook hands and answered all of his questions politely.
When Ginger asked you to step into an elevator and it dropped 10 floors, you started to wonder a little. When the doors opened and she walked you to a room with a huge bank of monitors, with screens showing all kinds of maps and security video feeds, you were downright confused. But when she revealed the cherry on top, the fact that Statesman was not in the business you thought they were? That was too shocking. You were sure she was joking. You turned behind you to look for hidden cameras, expecting a prank show host to come jumping out at you.
"This is a joke, right?"
Ginger smiled that sweet, warm smile at you. "No joke. We want you to join the Research Unit, working in the Data Analysis section. You would be keeping our agents safe, helping them make the best decisions possible. And in turn your work could save lives, hundreds of them. Maybe even thousands. What do you say?"
"I... uh... I still think youâre joking. Iâve never heard of anything like this. I⊠are you sure you want me?"
"Yes, if you're interested. We could use you on the team." She pushed a little slip of paper into your hand, and when you saw the annual salary that was listed, you almost fainted.
"Ginger, this is way too much. I just graduated and this is, like... this is a senior analyst's salary. I'd be able to pay off my student loans in like three years!"
"Actually, we would be paying your student loans off before you start work. If you have financial burdens hanging over your head you could be vulnerable to bribes or extortion attempts from foreign governments or bad actors. We want you clear before you start with us. Think of it as a signing bonus."
"Holy shit! Sorry, I mean... I... Jesus." You looked at her in confusion. "Y'all really want me?"
She smiled and nodded. "Yes, we really do."
"Okay, when do I start?"
And that had been it, your first "big girl" job out of college. You were welcomed warmly to the Statesman team, and you loved the fact that you did interesting work that had a real impact. The hardest part had been telling your friends and family the required cover story, saying you were doing market analysis until you could find a job in criminal justice somewhere. But since you were happy with your new job and it paid well, none of them pressured you to move on.
During your first two years with Statesman you climbed the ranks, earning promotions and new responsibilities that eventually put you in the seat of Assistant Director of Data Analysis. You had risen high enough in Statesman that your work required a code name, and you chose âPaloma,â a nod to your favorite grapefruit cocktail. You answered directly to the head of the Research Unit, and every report that your team produced was vital. You weren't wasting your talent in some corporate hole, enriching the CEO's salary at the expense of your sanity. You were saving lives, making a difference. Your reports had even been sent to the New York headquarters, where they used them as a model for operations.
And the job had brought you romance, too. One day not long after your promotion to Assistant Director, you were walking out of the conference room, so focused on your phone that you didn't see where you were going. You bumped into something large and solid in a denim shirt, and a pair of warm, calloused hands held your shoulders to steady you. You cursed softly to yourself and then looked up into the most gorgeous pair of brown eyes that you had ever seen. A man with patchy stubble and a well-worn baseball cap smiled at you, eyes crinkling with warmth.
"Whoa! Are you okay?" His eyes looked concerned as they searched your face. You looked at him with wonder. He was so, so beautiful. The smile dropped, and then his brows knitted together into a slight frown. "I said, are you okay?"
You realized you were staring with your mouth half open like some lovestruck teenager, and that an embarrassing amount of time had passed since you first met his eyes.
"Yes!" Your voice was louder than you intended. "Yes, I'm sorry. Sorry I bumped into you. I should have watched where I was going. I'm sorry."
"That's okay. Did I hurt you?"
"Ah, no. No, I'm fine. Sorry. Just distracted today."
"That's okay. Sorry I startled you." He smiled again and squeezed your upper arm.
You could have stayed there forever, leaning into his touch. He let go, much to your chagrin, and then went into the conference room. You made a note to ask someone who he was, to see if you could find out more about him. He wasn't being escorted by a staff member, so he was obviously part of the Statesman organization somehow. Someone would know who he was.
You went into the ladies room, running into Ginger at the sinks. "Oh, Paloma! I'm so glad I saw you. I need to steal your boss for an urgent matter. Can you run his 11:00 meeting in the conference room? I know it's last minute, but I'll buy you lunch later."
Your brain flickered out for a nanosecond. The 11:00 meeting? The conference room? The handsome man? You recovered your composure and smiled at Ginger. "Yeah, no problem at all. Tell him to drop his notes off in the conference room and I'll be there in just a moment."
Ginger smiled and punched your shoulder softly. "Thanks, Pal. I owe you one."
You washed your hands in a trance. Oh lord, this was going to be interesting. You squared your shoulders and met your own eyes in the mirror. You looked exactly like you had this morning, just your normal self. Most of the time that was fine, but right now you wanted to be more glamorous, more devastating. You wanted to absolutely bewitch the handsome mystery man in the meeting. In the absence of some kind of last-minute emergency Hollywood makeup team, you would have to settle for a fresh application of lip balm and a quick scrub of your teeth with a damp paper towel. You flicked a stray eyebrow hair into place, sighed, and headed back to the conference room. Looks weren't important anyway, right? Statesman had hired you for your brain, not your face. And really, you were more interested in showing your boss that you could do well in your new role. So you banished your insecurities from your mind and breezed into the meeting.
"Good morning everyone." You studiously chose not to look at the handsome man you had run into, keeping your eyes on your notes for the time being. You were afraid that if you looked at him you wouldn't be able to tear your gaze away. "The Director has been called away for an urgent matter, so I'll be leading todayâs operational planning meeting. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Paloma."
You risked a glance at the handsome stranger, relieved to see that his eyes were on his notepad and not on you. You let out a breath and found your stride, walking the group through the team's findings, the data, the implications, and the desired outcome for the mission. Agent Tequila asked a few cocky, half-assed questions, probing you for weaknesses. Normally that would have irritated you, but today it was a welcome focus that took your mind off the butterflies. You knocked Tequila back in place with a few well-chosen words, and then opened up the floor for questions.
The handsome man raised his hand, and your eyes fixed on how large and thick his fingers were. Oh God, this was torture. "Yes, Mr...?"
"Catfish. Um, can you tell me more about the extraction plan?"
"Yes, absolutely." You went over that phase of the mission, giving all the details your team had gathered about the terrain and the timing. When you were done, Catfish smiled at you, and your knees went weak at the sight of the dimple that appeared. No one else had questions, so you closed the meeting and stood to leave.
Suddenly there was a warm wall of denim at your elbow. "Hey, that was really detailed information. Thank you so much for walking me through everything."
You turned and smiled. "You're welcome. Glad I could help." You fumbled for something to say, trying to extend the conversation and keep him in your orbit for however long you could while everyone else filed out of the room.
"So, um, you go by 'Catfish.' Can I ask why? That's your code name, right? There's not some kind of hidden tragedy where that's the name your parents actually wrote on your birth certificate?"
He chuckled, throwing his head back. The expanse of his thick neck and bobbing Adam's apple did nothing to improve the butterflies. They only fluttered harder, rising higher in your chest.
"It's an old Army nickname, I was Special Forces about a million years ago. Now I'm here on the transport team. I'm a helicopter pilot. When we're not working you can just call me Frankie."
"Ah." You bit your lip and nodded. Why couldn't you think of something else to say? Fortunately, Frankie continued the conversation.
"And you're Paloma around here? I love that drink. Am I allowed to know your real name, or is that classified?"
You grinned and shook his hand, giving him your name. When it rolled off his lips in that deep voice it sounded like heaven to you. You didn't want anyone else to say your name ever again. Just him.
He leaned closer, like he was sharing a secret. âCan I ask you a question? Top secret.â He winked, and you nodded.
âCan I take you to lunch?â
Your heart dropped into your pelvis, and you gulped, hard. âY-yes. Yes, that would be great. Iâd love to.â
---
When Ginger found you in your office at 2:00 p.m. you were staring off into space, smiling blissfully.
âHey, Paloma. Why did you blow me off for lunch? I came by at 12:30, I was going to take you out.â
âOh! Oh my god, Ginger, Iâm so sorry! I had a date.â
She raised her eyebrows at you, settling down in one of your visitors chairs. âA date?â
âNo! Not a date. A, umâŠâ You burst into husky giggles, and then confessed everything to her: the handsome man, the crinkles around his eyes, his dimples and his silly code name, the easy conversation over lunch, and the fact that he had scribbled his phone number down on a sticky note that was now burning a hole in your pocket. You felt like you were 12 again, confiding in your girlfriend about crushes and cute boys.
Ginger laughed and gave your hand a squeeze. âNo wonder you forgot about me. I canât compete with a handsome helicopter pilot!â
âOh, Iâm so sorry, Ginger. I really didnât mean to forget.â
âNo, itâs okay. But definitely call him this weekend and make a real date. Iâll want details when you take me out for an apology lunch on Monday.â She winked and left your office.
You sat back in your chair and tilted back to look at the ceiling while you considered it. Was it too soon to call him and make a date? Ugh, this was agony. You decided that going by conventional rules hadnât really mattered to you at any point in your life until now, so why the hell not?
You took a deep breath, trying to puff up your confidence. When he answered the phone on the second ring, you dove right in. âHi, Catfish? Itâs Paloma. Listen, I had a really good time at lunch, and Iâd like to see you this weekend if youâre free.â
---
On Monday, you had a whole lot to report to Ginger.
Frankie took you up for a sightseeing flight on your date, and you loved the way he controlled everything; making sure he warned you before any sudden movements, and checking that you werenât getting airsick or anxious. When the rotors were stilled and you were back on the ground, Frankie reached over to help you unbuckle your harness. Something got stuck, and the agonizing extra seconds of feeling him jostle the strap near your hip made you bold. When it was finally free and he was about to pull his hand away, you grabbed his wrist. He looked at you, alarmed that something was wrong, and you crashed your lips against his, all teeth and tongue and wanting. Frankie was as good a kisser as he was a pilot, and you spent the rest of the date making out in his truck.
The next weekend, you found out that his warm, work-worn hands were also magic in the bedroom. Frankie was adept at tweaking your sensitive spots as gently as the little buttons and switches of the flight panel, bringing you to thrumming heights the same way he did his helicopter.
The rest of the summer passed in heady, humid days and nights like a dream. You loved Frankieâs easy sense of humor and his confidence in the cockpit. But Frankie was less confident about your relationship, voicing concerns about the decade-plus that separated your ages, and whether he was keeping you from dating men your own age. He made self-deprecating comments about being an âold man,â and you reassured him that there was no one youâd rather be with, no one who could sway your attention. You loved using your hands and arms and lips and tongue to reassure him, finding that he had his own sensitive spots that you could manipulate. You loved sending him to sleep with a smile on his face.
But as much as you and Frankie enjoyed the relationship, the nature of his work with the transportation team meant that he was never in town for very long. At the same time, your job was getting more complex, requiring late nights at the office that interfered with your time together. You refused to dwell too much on the fact that you were torn, that you loved your work as equally as you wanted to spend those nights with Frankie.
By the end of the summer, you both came to the realization that it was nobodyâs fault, simply a case of poor circumstances, and you decided to end things and remain friends. In October Frankie left Statesman to take a job that relocated him to Florida. You were wistful, and you missed him, but at least it had been an amicable split. At least friends was something. And as sometimes happens even with the best of intentions, the time in between each phone call grew longer, and you eventually lost touch. Last you heard he was spending weekends with his old Army buddies who all lived nearby, and he had a new girlfriend. By February the ache was starting to subside, and by April you were nearly ready to date again.
In May, almost three years to the day after Gingerâs visit to your apartment had changed your life, you were offered the position to lead the Data Analysis team in New York. You jumped at the chance. Statesman located an apartment for you, and from the pictures you were already in love with it. Huge windows looked out over the city, and it was within walking distance of Statesman HQ. Your farewell party was bittersweet. Ginger offered to come visit you, and promised that New York would be everything you hoped it would be. Your team gave you such high praises that you joked that if thatâs what it took to hear accolades, you would have left ages ago.
---
Your first few days in New York were spent acclimating to the Statesman HQ, and getting to know your neighborhood. It was strange to find that you could walk or take the subway for whatever you needed, compared to the Midwest where a car was required for everything. Your new team was welcoming, and you enjoyed your new duties immensely. Your first two weeks on the job passed in no time, and you went home every night feeling like you could fly.
And then you hit a wall, in the form of Jack Daniels, a.k.a. âSenior Agent Whiskey.â You knew him by reputation, of course. Ginger had filled you in on his exploits, his overbearing charm, his smarmy flirtations. You had seen him once or twice in passing when he had visited Champâs office, but you hadnât actually met him in person.
When you finally did, you almost asked for an immediate transfer back to Louisville. --- "Paloma" Series Masterlist Just-here-for-the-momentâs masterlist

Shades of grey; chapter 11 - Ninja tag with a Poltergeist
@shadow-ninjas @leosgirl82 If somebody else would liked to be tagged, or not, please let me know.
Warnings: NSFW, 18+, angst: panick attack
âAre you sure you don't want to stay any longer, Ishtar? You're such a great asset to the festivalâ, Judith said.
âI really enjoyed my time here and I've learned so many things. But I have an answer to the questions I came here with. And I feel I'm needed back homeâ, Ishtar said. She got a warm feeling at the word 'home'. It's where she belonged. âI won't leave until tomorrow morning. I would love to see everyone tonight, dancing, singing and acting crazy around the campfire with all of you, my new sweet sisters.â
âWe would love that! Do you have any idea how much you've grown this three weeks?â
âI've some idea, yes. Something like from a slightly insecure woman to a self-confidant goddess, right?â Laughing they hugged each other.
In early morning, Ishtar looked back one last time at the festival and waved at her sisters. âSisters for live!â, they called and she smiled. âIâm gonna miss you!â she called back.
She opened the portal and stepped through it, back into the lair. Master Splinter was waiting for her. They greeted each other happily, Ishtar even gave Splinter a hug. âOh myâ, he responded and chuckled. âLet me look at you child. Oh yes, you've grown quite a lot, energetically speaking of course. How was your trip?â
âIt was amazing, I've learned so many things, I've had such a great time and I did manage to find answers on your questions. I could have stayed longer, but I felt I was needed here, where my home is.â
âI'm glad to hear that. So you would like to stay with us?â
âYes, very much.â
âGood. Now, I have some questions for you. Did you learn any ninja skills?â
âYes, I made considerable progress with silent walking. And learned to survive in nature. Treated minor wounds. Why? What do you have in mind?â she asked after she saw the look on his face.
âWould you like to play a little game here in the lair? I won't tell the brothers that you're home already. You stay hidden for as long as possible but only three days. You can do whatever you like, just don't show yourself and don't let yourself be heard. You loose if one of my sons catches you.â
âSounds like fun.â
âIt can be, it's a more advanced game and a start to ninja tag. My sons are now at April's home to get all the ordered groceries. I expect them back in one hour. So, if you want to play, I suggest you take a shower and clean your things up..â
âOw, this sounds fun and exciting. I will play but how will I announce myself on the third day?â
âI will leave a note with suggestions in my room. But maybe you'll think of something yourselfâ, he winked. âNow go, prepare yourself!â
Ishtar ran to her room, careful not to change anything on her way or in her room. She dumped her bag under the bed, easy to reach if needed. She then ran to the kitchen and grabbed an empty bottle, five apples and a knife. Looking in the refrigerator she found left over pizza, but hesitated. 'Pizza smells strong. If I take this with me, they'll find me in no time. 'k, I'll eat one slice now and leave the rest for the guys.' She quickly ate the pizza on her way to the shower. 'Just a quick one, still got to find a hiding spot, where I can leave my apples.. Maybe I should find several spots, just in case..'
She found a dark corner next to the kitchen, where she left two apples. High above the lair she found another spot between some pipes, where she dumped her other stuff. She even found a hiding place in Splinter's room. Running to Donnie's lab, she took two science-fiction books off the shelve, to have something to read. As a last part of preparations she filled her bottle with water, grabbed a spare blanket and went to her high hide-out. There she calmed her breathing, shrunk her aura, made a comfortable bed and lied down with one book.
After a sort amount of time she heard the guys come back from their trip. Not daring to look over the edge of her hiding spot, she just listened to the sounds, who appeared to be very loud. Which made it easier for her to locate everybody.
âOkay guys, you store all the groceries. I'll be in the dojo, training is in ten.â Leonardo said.
Ishtar knew her hiding spot was in the direct line of sight from the kitchen, so she didn't move now. But she carefully listened to each sound the guys made. Leonardo was just impossible to trace, he always walked silent. Raphael walked loud, Michaelangelo had a light playful step, and Donatello walked with intervals. Probably trying to remember projects and inventing new stuff.
Careful touching with her mind she tried to locate Master Splinter. 'Ah yes, of course, he was watching his shows now.' She withdrew her mind to her own space and settled in. Time to make a plan: during training was the best time to go to the bathroom and get some water or food if needed. And another book to read, if she finished these two already. During the night she also had these opportunities, but Leo always slept light. So she had to be very quiet.
'Now to find out when is the best time to sleep? I have to figure that out later. My mind is too hyped right now. Just reading than, with an ear to always listen in on what the guys are doing. Oh wait, this is the perfect time to check out where all the security camera's are.' She knew she was high above that level, so popped her head up and looked around. She looked at Splinter too. He didn't look up but held a finger to his mouth, as if he gestured to be quiet. 'Damn, did that make noise?! Hmm, how to get past him? Climb down to the first level, walk against the wall of the bedrooms and then..? The stairs is a too open space. Need to find a different route.. The first floor gave a dark area behind the stairs. Yes, I could use that. Okay, and the line of sight from the dojo isn't focused on the stairs. Yup, let's do this!'
She climbed down to the first level, but stayed in the shadows first. Locating the camera's she knew right away she couldn't avoid them, so she didn't focus on that. They were placed by someone with years of experience in stealth, and she didn't had any practice yet in being stealthy. Slowly she made her way to the stairs, constantly looking around and scanning the lair for everybody's location, but without touching their awareness. She made it to the stairs. Silently she walked down the normal way and hid beneath it. There she waited a minute.
^What are you planning to do, Ishtar?^ she heard in her mind, in Splinter's voice.
^Geez, you scared the crap out of me!^ she thought loud. ^I'm off to the lab, checking the camera settings and then grab some food from the kitchen.^
^Try to walk a little slower and more silent. If you manage that, you'll make a fair chance at this.^
^I do my best, thanks for the advise. Over and out?^ she finished their thought-talk.
Splinter chuckled.
In the lab she quickly checked the computer for the setting. They were in her favor, they weren't set to record. So only when Donnie worked in his lab, she shouldn't walk around.
As quickly but still very slow and silent she walked to the kitchen to look for some food. That was rather difficult. Most food would make too much noise or could be smelled from a distance, or was packed in plastic, or needed cooling to stay fresh.. The only thing she could bring was chocolate. She took two bars, just in case to have more food. And chocolate provided a good amount of energy of course. She was startled again when Splinter touched her mind ^could you put the kettle on? No need to wait for it to boil, I will do that.^
^Of course, Master Splinter^, she thought.
After that she walked back to her top spot. She made herself comfortable again and decided to rest first.
Hours later she woke up. 'Oh shit, did I fall asleep?' she thought.
Still lying in her blanket she carefully scanned the lair again. Leo was meditating with Master Splinter, Donnie worked in his lab, Mickey played video games and Raph worked on his bike in the garage. Safe enough to start reading that book again. And she ate a small peace of chocolate. She waited till dinner to eat her apple. With all the noise the guys would make in the kitchen, she could safely crunch on her apple.
She woke in the middle of the night, needed to go to the bathroom. She had stayed up till eleven, so she knew Leonardo was in his room. Slowly she looked over the edge. The television was off and the bedroom doors of Michaelangelo and Donatello were closed. Only Raphael wasn't sleeping yet. She had heard him say something about watching the game with Casey. But it was unknown to her if he would come back home right away or in early morning. She took a gamble and made her way to the bathroom. All went well until she wanted to flush. 'Oh wait, if I do that, it will make noise. And I can't just leave it here, with their sensitive sense of smell, they will know it's me.. What if I turn off the tap? I can flush everything, but the cistern won't make noise refilling itself. Yes, let's do that.' After that she went back to bed.
Early morning Ishtar woke up, hearing Leonardo mumbling while he walked downstairs. âMickey and his pranks.â
She smiled, at least that went well. The first twenty-four hours were almost up. 'Today will be boring with little to do', she thought.
An idea struck her. 'It's almost Halloween! How about I prank them a little today and still remain unnoticed? And make it worse by tomorrow', she snickered silently. 'Oh, I'm so bad.'
All she had to do now was inventing some ideas and waiting for the right time to execute them.. She waited until Leonardo was finished in the kitchen, bringing tea and breakfast to Master Splinter. She checked if he stayed there. When she didn't see any movement, she went downstairs. In the kitchen she grabbed a piece of soap and went to the bathroom. Careful she wrote with her finger a message on the mirror. Pizza will be banned from the world by 2022 She then returned the soap, took some tools from Donnie's lab and walked to the dojo. She unscrewed a bench Raphael always used, but not the one used for heavy lifting. Returning the tools she thought of one last thing. She put a google search on Donnie's computer for Poltergeist and deliberately left that window open.
When she walked by the kitchen, she heard noises. 'Oh crap, everybody is waking up now.' She quickly dove to her hiding spot next to the kitchen, down, slowed her breathing again and waited what would happen.
Mickey bounced happy downstairs, Raphael was a bit grumpy and Donnie was almost sleepwalking, his eyes barely open. She could hear them rummaging but they didn't talk much. The atmosphere felt quite dark. She didn't like that, almost felt sorry for her pranks. 'Oh no Ishtar, don't go there! No time for sad feelings, and you still have to complete his invisibility game..'
Before Leonardo walked by, she could sense him. Good, that left only Master Splinter in his room. She heard Leonardo talking. âI didn't like your prank Michaelangelo and frankly I'm used to better pranks from you. This one was just lame.â
âWhat are you talking about dude? I haven't pranked someone in weeks. So whatever happened to you, it wasn't me!â
âSo you didn't closed the tap of the toilet?â Leo asked seriously.
âNope! But it does sound funnyâ, Mickey snickered.
âOkay, then who?â
âNope, wasn't us Leo.â
âStrange.. Okay, see you soon in the dojo.â Ishtar saw him walk towards the dojo, a bit lost in thought. 'Don't look at him Ishtar. People always feel it when you look directly at them. And ninja's are worse.' Fortunately Leonardo didn't turn around.
While waiting on the guys to leave the kitchen, Ishtar thought on more Halloween pranks. Maybe some glowing eyes in the dark. And creepy music.. When she got her chance she gathered all the stuff she needed and placed them in the lair on strategic places. Then a quick visit to the bathroom where she washed herself and went back to her hide-out.
A while after training Ishtar heard a loud scream from the bathroom and a second later from the dojo. Michaelangelo came running out the bathroom, still screaming.
âWhat's going on?â Leo asked concerned.
âAahhh! The horror! There is something horrible written on the mirror.. I can't bear to look again!â
Leonardo went in and came out again. âThat's not so scary, it's just a message on a mirror..â he said and looked suspicious at his brothers who came stand by.
âOh no, you can't put this on us!â Raphael said. âWe weren't even here! I was in the dojo remember? Someone unscrewed my bench.â
âAnd there was a window open on my computer, with a search for Poltergeist..â said Donatello.
âHmm, that all sounds very suspicious.â Mickey said. âEither we have a ghost, Poltergeist or an intruder in the lair.â
âOr Master Splinter finally found a sense of humorâ, Raphael added.
âUnlikely, but I'll go ask himâ, Leo said. He came back quickly. âNo, it isn't Master Splinter. Although he does think the pranks are funny.â
âWhat do we do now?â Donatello asked.
âGo on with our daily business, but keep an eye on everything and report anything strange right away.â
Ishtar had trouble staying silent, hands placed over her mouth, she laughed. She busied herself with the other preparations, cutting scary eyes out of cardboard. And with a headphone she made a music selection with scary tunes. Pranking the prankster, this was fun. Only the long wait was dreadful and boring.
Leonardo announced a night patrol. 'Good, perfect for me to place some more pranks', Ishtar thought.
When they were gone for thirty minutes she came out of hiding. Though it was tempting to walk fast, she still walked slowly. 'Don't stay too long in one spot.'
She placed pans and their lids on the top shelf of the cookie cabinet and closed the door gently. 'This is going to sound so loud!' When she walked back to the stairs she noticed a little basket with wool and crochet needles next to Splinter's room. There was a small note attached to the basket.
If you chase two rabbits, you will not catch either one.
Smiling she brought the basket with her, finally something to do. From her hiding spot she searched Splinter's mind and thanked him. For several hours she entertained herself with crochet, making herself a hat for her swimming trips. She also had been swimming during her mission and she would like to continue it here.
Just when she made herself ready to go to sleep, the guys came back home. The lighting in the lair were set on a timer, so it was dark now. Leo and Raph walked to the showers, while Mickey helped Donnie with a bandage. When they came out of the infirmary Ishtar threw a small stone down. It startled Donatello and Mickey even screamed. Donatello took his flashlight out and looked around. âCalm down Mickey, it's just a stone.â
âYes, but where did that come from?â asked Leonardo who had already showered. âIs our Poltergeist still present?â
âYou know I don't believe in ghosts, Leo. So no! But there's definitely something going on in hereâ, Donnie said suspiciously.
âYes, I agree. Should I stay up tonight to keep watch over you?â Leo asked.
âOnly if you really don't treasure sleep. No, I think it'll be alright. Besides, all these pranks were harmless.. good night.â
'Good night', Ishtar thought.
Her bed wasn't that nice to sleep in, but she had slept well. Up until she woke up from the loudest possible noise in the kitchen. She immediately sat upright in bed. Breathing fast she was glad she wasn't a screamer when it came to unexpected noises. Otherwise she would have been discovered by now. Lying back down she listened to what the guys were saying.
âI HAD ENOUGH OF THIS!!â bellowed Raphael.
âWhat happened this time?â Leonardo and Donatello asked as one.
âI got all the pans and lids over me when I wanted to grab a cookie!â Raphael growled angry.
âAre you wounded?â asked Donatello.
âNo, just deaf!â
âIf you all are alright, could we go back to sleep now, please?â asked Master Splinter.
They all nodding, and went to bed.
Or, at least that is what Ishtar thought. She had just trusted on the noises that were made by everyone. But she hadn't checked the whereabouts of them. Leonardo did stay awake and alert and silently patrolled the lair throughout the night. When she woke up again for her bathroom visit, she wasn't aware of Leo. She did take her precautions, listening and scanning the lair. At that moment Leonardo was in his room meditating, but his door was ajar. Ishtar failed to notice that and walked right past it. Quickly doing her business in the bathroom, she relaxed for a moment. Before she went back she scanned the lair once more. She was shocked to find out Leonardo was walking around. 'Oh shit, now what? Even if I turn off the tap again, he will still hear me flush. And knowing everyone else is sleeping, he will come running here!'
She grabbed a cup, filled it with water and silently flushed it away in the toilet. With another shock she heard someone approaching. Quickly hiding under a pile of towels, she had trouble now to catch her breath.
âFound anything yet?â Raphael asked Leonardo softly.
âNo, not yet. But I did hear someone walking, very silently. Maybe a weird question, Raph. But could you make some noise in the bathroom? Maybe our intruder will think it's safe to walk faster and being less careful.â
âSure, can doâ, Raphael said.
When Raphael came into the bathroom he turned on the lights. 'Oh shell, there goes my night vision', Ishtar thought.
Raphael took his job very seriously. She could hear him piss, the way the stream splashed in the middle of the water, and then he moaned too. It was almost too much to handle. Because, in horror, she found out that this sound turned her on, a lot. She could control herself not to moan, but she still hadn't control over her churrs. She desperately tried to think of something nonsexual, but couldn't come up with anything. She started to panic. 'I don't want to play this game anymore. I want out! But then I have to deal with the consequences too. No, that's also too much right now! What can I do? Should I reach out to Leo, confess everything, tell him I'm sorry?'
She heard Raphael leave the bathroom. Still breathing fast, she tried to control her panic. That took some time. When she was calm again, she only then noticed the smell that came off the towels. She almost threw up by the smell of old cum..
She picked herself up again, removed herself from the towel pile and quietly walked to the door. Raphael had turned off the lights, to which she was grateful.
She located Leonardo, he was walking downstairs. Very quietly and even slower than she thought possible, she walked in the direction of her top spot. When she was almost about to climb up, some alarm went off in her body. She froze mid-stride and was grateful she was already standing in a shadow. She used all her senses to find out who was walking behind her. And then she could smell his scent, it was Leonardo. He hadn't seen her, he just walked to his bedroom, went inside and closed the door. Ishtar couldn't hear a thing he was doing inside because her heart was beating so loud. She waited ten minutes and then climbed up. When she was barely on top of the pipes again, Leonardo threw his door open and jumped out. Of course, he couldn't find her. She could hear him now, because his breathing sounded frustrated. After a few seconds he went back in and closed the door. Only then Ishtar felt safe enough to breath normally again.
She woke up during lunch, but wasn't rested yet. And she had enough of this game. Carefully scanning where Master Splinter was, she sent her thoughts to him. ^Sensei?^
^Yes child?^
^I want to stop this game. And I'm already sorry for all the pranks I made.^
^I see. What is the reason you want to stop?^
^It's too stressful. And I was almost discovered by Leonardo last night.^
^Yes, he told me so. This decision is up to you Ishtar. You can quite at any moment. You already made it two days, which I find remarkable for someone without ninja training. But if you manage to keep it up one more day, I will support you when you come out of hiding. And maybe you would like to crochet me a scarf?^
^Thank you, I appreciate that. I will stay in hiding a bit longer. And thank you for the crochet idea.^
Taking a deep breath, Â she decided to take it slow today. No more pranks for now..
Ishtar had stayed in her high hiding spot for the last twenty-four hours, with the exception for a bathroom break.
During lunch Master Splinter checked in with Ishtar, asking how she was doing.
^Are you ready to show yourself?^ he asked.
^Oh, please yes! I'm longing for a warm shower, normal food and most of all the comfort of you all.^
^Okay, let me do the talking after lunch, we will carefully reveal you.^
âMy sons, I have an announcement to make. Can you come with me to the living room?â
Curious they all followed.
âAll the pranks that happened the last days were not made by a Poltergeist. But by a person.â
âOh, I knew it!â Raphael growled. âIt was you, wasn't it?!â
âNo, Raphael, I didn't do anything of the sorts. Do you want to know who it was?â
âYes, please, Master Splinterâ, Leonardo said.
âIt was Ishtar.â
âWhat?! No, that cannot be! She can't be back yet! She wouldn't do all those pranks to us, she's way too sweet for that!â they all talked over each other.
âShe came back three days ago. I asked her then if she wanted to play the beginnings of ninja tag, since she had learned silent walking on her mission. She agreed to that.â
âDid ya order the pranks as well?â Raphael asked gruffly.
âNo, that was of her own doing. Probably because she was bored.â
âOkayâ, Leonardo said, âand where is she now?â
âStill in hiding. She hadn't told me where those places are, where she hid.â
âHey Ishtarâ, Mickey spoke aloud into the overall space, âI'll bet you can hear me. Were that all your pranks or did you have more for us?â
It was silent for a moment. Then they all heard from three directions at once âmoooore...â in a scary voice. Mickey squealed.
âHow did she do that?â Leonardo asked Donatello.
From somewhere high up came Ishtar's voice. âSimple, connect three speakers with each other, find a hiding spot for them and play something on a phone that's connected with the speakers.â
âAnything else?â asked Raphael.
âYes, but I will save those for another time.â
Ishtar got up and carefully came out of her spot. When she was on the first floor, she spoke again. âThis game wasn't easy to do. By experiencing this myself, it gave me more insight in how difficult it can be. So, I have a lot more respect for you guys, who do this on every night patrol.â And she bowed to the brothers, placing her left hand over her right fist. Standing upright again, she stumbled. Alarmed, Donatello ran to her and asked, âare you alright? You don't look so well!â
âI haven't eaten much in the last few days, so my blood sugar level is probably a bit low. And I've been through a little too much stress to my liking. Other than that, I'm fine.â
âThe hell you are!â Donnie growled, picked her up, threw her over his shoulder and walked downstairs. Ishtar yelped. âWhat are you doing, Donatello?â
âWe are going to feed you properly. Mickey, make something nutritious, will you?â
Ishtar didn't argue anymore. It cost her a lot of strength. She surrendered to the good care of the guys.
âWhat did you eat during the last three days?â Leonardo asked.
âFour apples, half a bar of chocolate and some water. Oh, and one pizza slice on the first dayâ, she answered.
âHow could you survive on so little food?â Mickey asked and placed a plate with bacon and eggs in front of her.
âSit!â Leonardo commanded.
She did and started to wolf down the food. âCan I have some tea?â
âSure you canâ, said Leonardo, sweetly now.
âCan you guys please sit down, you're making me nervousâ, Ishtar asked.
âSure babeâ, Raphael said. âHere, come sit with meâ and pulled her on his lap. âYou're safe now. We're not mad at you, just a little disturbed by the circumstances.â
Ishtar looked questioningly at Leonardo to check if he thought so too. He nodded. She sighed and relaxed in Raphael's arms. 'Good, she's starting to acknowledge my authority', Leo thought.
With her thoughts Ishtar tried to connect with Leonardo ^I'd rather sit on your lap right now.^
Leonardo didn't respond to her. It even seemed he hadn't heard her. Confused she looked at Master Splinter and asked in thought, ^Leonardo cannot mind-talk?^
^Not as good as you and me can. But it is also part of his training to have his mind closed off for everyone, so nobody can come in unannounced and attack.^
Ishtar nodded in understanding and sipped on her tea.
âYa want anything else to eat, Ishtar?â Raphael asked.
âUh, some toast with grilled cheese?â
âComing right up, love!â Mickey said.
After she finished her meal, Leonardo suggested she should rest a while. She didn't argue with him, thinking it was a good idea actually.
Leonardo couldn't help himself, he really needed to be close to her. The first hour Ishtar slept a deep sleep. After that she just rested comfortably in her bed. Still used to locate everyone in the lair, she found out Leonardo was just outside her room. She tried to poke his thoughts with her mind. It took a while but eventually he let her in.
^Hey, sleep well?^
^Yes I did. You wanna come in?^
^I don't think that's such a good idea..^
^Why not?^
^Because.. I don't know if I can restrain myself..^
Ishtar laughed. âThat's not a bad thing Leo. Do come in, leave the door open, so I can yell for helpâ, she giggled.
Leonardo walked in but stayed on the other end of the room. âThat's not something to joke about Ishtarâ, he said seriously.
âAnd I wasn't joking. I'm not fearful of you, you know. Well, apart from two nights ago, when you almost caught me. That scared the shit out of me.â And she shuddered by the thought.
âYeah, well, that's what I'm trained to do. I'm sorry it scared you, but I didn't know it was you. How did you mask your scent?â
âI didn't on purpose. I was in the bathroom when Raphael came in to pee. Before he opened the door I hid under the pile of dirty towels, the ones with old cum on it..â
âYou what?!â Leo snickered.
âAah, don't laugh, it was the only hiding spot I could find and I almost threw up by that smell.â
âNow that you mention it, I did smell that near my bedroom. But it didn't alarm me, kind of used to it by now, I guessâ, and shrugged. âDo you feel strong enough to tell about your mission during dinner? I would love to hear what you encountered.â
âYes, I'm fine. I would like to tell about it tooâ, she said smiling.
During dinner almost everyone fought for some attention of her, all so happy she was back again. She was flattered by that, but kept some distance. She needed to strengthen first, although she did stay very close to Leonardo.
âIshtar, could you tell about your mission?â Master Splinter asked.
âYeah sure. I didn't know what to expect so I went open-minded through the portal. It brought me to a festival..â
âWHAT?! You've been partying these three weeks?!â exclaimed Michaelangelo.
Ishtar chuckled. âSome. But I worked there too, as a volunteer in the first responder team.â
Interested Donatello sat upright. âDid you learn anything new? Major wounds or have you experienced life-threatening situations?â
âNo, just minor wounds. But I did learn a lot over there. We had a lot of bee and wasp stings, allergic reactions from plants, burns from hot tea, one case of hypothermia and some minor burns from the Fire Walk.â
âA FireWalk?!â Raphael exclaimed, âwho would want to walk over fire? Did ya do that too?â
âNo, my challenge is cold water, for now. But this is what they said about it:
The Fire Walk is a powerful demonstration of our potential. It teaches us how to transform fear and negative thinking into constructive energy and practical results. Fire Walking is said to be the most powerful ritual for effecting change in harmony with a greater whole.
âPff, if it's that effective, why didn't ya do it?â Raphael asked again.
âBecause the fire didn't call me.â
âFire doesn't speak.â
âIt doesn't if you don't listen to it. Then you only get burned.â
âHumph, whatever!â
âWhat kind of people were there? Were they alarmed by your turtle appearance?â Mickey asked.
âOh no, they were not. It was an all-women mutants festival.â
âWooow! Do those kind of festivals exist?! And can you get me to one?â
âWhy Mickey, did you already had enough of me?â Ishtar asked with a raised eyebrow.
âEr.. no, that's not what I meant!â Mickey stuttered.
âOkayâ, Ishtar giggled, âjust checking.â Gathering her thoughts again she continued her story. âI had morning shifts and a few evening shifts when there was a Fire Walk. Did some interesting workshops and learned to walk silent, in a forest in autumn. And surviving in nature. Most evenings we danced or were singing by a campfire. I had an amazing time with a lot of women, who will know me now as a sisterâ, she said warmly.
âDid you return because the festival ended?â asked Donatello.
âNo, I returned because I felt I was needed here, back home. They didn't like it but respected my choice. I left the next morning and came back through the portal. And that's when Master Splinter asked me to play that game ninja tag.
I thought it would be fun to do. But I got bored and after a few pranks and that second night when I almost got caught by Leonardo... No, I didn't like it that much anymore..â
âBut you kept going Ishtar and made it through three whole days. And that is remarkable for someone who isn't a ninja.â said Master Splinter.
âYeah, it sure is!â said Mickey.
âCould you tell about your preparations, Ishtar?â Leonardo asked.
âI took some apples, a knife and a water bottle with me from the kitchen, dumped my bag under my bed, took a shower, found a blanket and searched for some hide-outs. I found one in Master Splinter's room, although I haven't used that one. Another in the dark corner here next to the kitchen, hid there once during breakfast. And I had a safe place somewhere else, a place I don't want to share yet..â
âWhat did you do during the second night?â Leo asked interested, curious to know how she pulled it off.
âI threw a small stone down close by Mickey and while you guys were on patrol I had already booby-trapped the pans in the cabinet. That crash did wake me up, by the way. Thank the Goddess I'm not a screamer when in fright, haha.. I woke somewhere in the night, bathroom visit you know. That's when I found out Leonardo was patrolling the lair. And to make it more challenging, Raphael came into the bathroom..â
âWhat?! You were in there? I've looked around, I didn't see ya anywhere! Of course I didn't expected you home already. Thought I was alone in there...â said Raphael.
âI was hiding under the pile of towels.â
âYou were hiding under... iew. Please tell me you did not!â
âNope, I did. It was my only option. Had a panic attack too. Took me quite some time to calm down again.â
âWhat caused your panic attack?â asked Leonardo concerned.
âEr...â Ishtar felt hot and blushed. âEr, can I tell you later?â
âOf course. And then what did you do?â Although he wondered why she didn't wanna tell them the reason yet.
âI waited some time, scanned the lair for your whereabouts and walked very slowly back to my hide-out. That's when I sensed you were walking behind me, it scared the hell out of me. I froze mid-stride. I think we were eight feet separated and you went into your bedroom.â
âSeriously, that close?!â Leo asked surprised. âThen your hide-out must be very close to that spot!â And he walked out the kitchen to look in that direction. âBut where did you go, Ishtar? It's a dead end there, your bedroom is the last location there.â
âLook upâ, said Ishtar who came stand next to him. âOne level up, there between the pipes is a small place, that's where I was most of the time.â
âRemarkableâ, Master Splinter commented.
âSo, instead of walking away I heard you climb up?â Leo asked.
âYup. So now you know my secret hide-out..â she said a little disappointed.
âIt's best we don't have any secrets for each other. But you can keep that spot, if you like.â
Ishtar nodded and thanked him. âSo, in short, that was my trip. Hello guys, I'm back home again!â
Smiling, they all got up and hugged her. âWelcome back, Ishtar.â

âAnd this is Dr. (Y/l/n), the head of our science department and biology teacher. Youâll be working closely with her to create the Sexual Education curriculum,â Principal Kim introduces you to the newly hired P.E. teacher. â(Y/n), this is Jeon Jungkook.â
You nod at this new arrival, extending your palm towards him. Jungkook is attractive as hell, if youâre being honest with yourself. Your eyes flick over the lean muscle of his body and the wide-eyed beauty of his face. Itâs too bad you are swearing off men for the time being after a particularly bad first date last week.
âI thought you would be a dude,â He mumbles after a long pause, looking you over in confusion. Your nostrils flare as you rescind your hand before Jungkook can even move to shake it.
âAnd why is that?â You fold your arms in front of your chest. You have faced incredulity before from a plethora of men - and women - about your chosen career path. Most women and minority groups in STEM fields have. It is part of the reason why you have forgone the route of lab work like a number of your fellow doctoral graduates in favor of high school education. You want your young students to feel empowered to become epidemiologists and astronauts and brain surgeons no matter their gender, their race, their sexual orientation.Â
And you want to eradicate the exact kind of reaction that Jungkook is giving you. Your glare is ice cold and absolute as you pin it on him. Kim Namjoon, your principal, is facepalming from beside this new boy and is looking at you with pleading eyes to diffuse the situation. But, fuck that noise.
âI-I donât know?â Jungkook finally blurts out, running a strong hand through his mess of chocolate brown hair, âIâm sorry, (Y/n).â His cheeks are flushed prettily, and you almost cave. You almost assure this Jungkook that his remark is nothing new. You almost begin to picture tugging him into the hidden closet on the third floor andâ You cut off that train of thought.Â
âThatâs Dr. (Y/l/n) to you, Mr. Jeon,â You turn to leave, pausing briefly to look at the duo of men over your shoulder, âWelcome to Bangtan High School.â With that, you stalk down the corridor. Your heels clicking emphatically as you leave the infuriatingly handsome and ignorant new hire in your dust.
You miss the longing sigh and the heart eyes that Jungkook sends after you. You miss Namjoon placing a hand on Jungkookâs shoulder and saying, âYou royally fucked up, kid.â And you miss the way Jungkook scrunches his nose and pouts forlornly, âI knowâŠâ
The beginning of the school year arrives the following week. On the first day, you make sure to pick an impeccable first day outfit that screams âIâm a fucking badass bitch, and I will end sexism as we know itâ. Of course, itâs an impossible task for any outfit to achieve, but your knee length black dress and black Louboutin heels come pretty damn close.
When you enter the doors of the high school at 6:30am, you look ready to kill. And when you lay eyes on Jeon Jungkook exiting the teacherâs lounge with a steaming hot mug of coffee looking like a snack, you think you just might. As soon as you start down the hallway towards him, Jungkook looks up at you and subsequently chokes.
You smirk, maybe you wouldn't have to get your hands dirty after all. âMorning, Jeon,â You sashay past him to enter the lounge he just exited. Unfortunately, he follows.
âG-good morning, Dr. (Y/l/n),â Jungkook says softly from your side as you prepare your own cup of caffeinated bliss, âI wanted to apologize for last week.âÂ
You face him, eyebrows raised as you wait for him to continue. He blushes under your undivided attention and mumbles, âIâm really sorry. I realize that I sounded like a complete sexist asshole, and that isnât me. I hope we can start over?â
God, heâs giving you the most adorable puppy-dog eyes youâve ever seen. His curls are in complete disarray once again with one falling just so perfectly over his forehead. Itâs honestly unfair that he looks this good at this infernal hour. Just for that alone, you let him sweat for a few more minutes as you turn back to finish making your coffee.
Finally, you address him, âApology accepted.â He smiles widely, his eyes gleaming, and he opens his mouth to say something. You canât have that. You place a finger over his plush lips and move closer to him, âBut let me just say this. If you ever, ever say something like that in front of my kids, I will end you.â You grin wickedly up at him as you try to ignore just how good his lips feel under your finger and how much better they would feel on yourâ
âGood morning, Jungkook! Good morning, (Y/n)!â Vice Principal Kim Seokjin scurries into the teacherâs lounge somehow looking like he just woke up and stepped off the runway at New York Fashion Week simultaneously. âHappy first day of school!â
You pull your hand away from Jungkookâs mouth, grab your coffee, and head towards the door. âBack at you, Jin. Bye, Jeon,â You kick open the door with your heel and shoot them a small smile on your way out.
You miss the way that Jungkook adjusts himself in his low slung track pants. You miss the way Jin shakes his head amusedly after your departure and tells Jungkook, âThat oneâs a hurricane wrapped in a deceivingly cute package.â And you miss the way Jungkook nods absentmindedly as he licks his lips, ideas forming in his headâŠ
The first weeks of school always fly by for you with new faces to learn, new courses to prepare, new material to deliver. You love every minute that you spent with your students.Â
But, you hate every last second that you spend hearing about the amazing new P.E. teacher and how handsome and sweet he is. It seems that everyone, aside from you, is completely whipped for Jungkook. Even your own students bring him up in your classroom, telling you about the new physical fitness regimen he has them on and raving about how cute he is.Â
Donât even get you started on how much you despise seeing Jungkook in the hallways, in the teacherâs lounge, in the cafeteria. He seems to be everywhere you go, almost as if he tracks your location. He even pops his head into your classroom during your free period to say a shy, soft âhello, Dr. (Y/l/n)â that sends you into a feral state each time.
Fuck, what is it about him that makes you go insane? One day last week you had even walked past the gym and had stopped dead in your tracks at the sight of a sweaty Jungkook wiping his face with the hem of his t-shirt. It had been a whole lot of abs and a whole lot more fuel for your fantasies.Â
It absolutely doesnât help that you constantly catch him staring at you - your body, your legs, your mouth. You had even overheard him ranting to the media teacher Kim Taehyung about how sexy you are when you ignore him, how he wants you to like him, how he longs to please you.
You are at the absolute end of your tether - especially because you and Jungkook are supposed to begin constructing the Sex Ed. curriculum together soon. Just the thought of discussing anything sexual with the boy gives you way too many dirty ideas. You decide that you might as well just rip the bandaid off so to speak, and so the next time you spot that curly head of his wandering past your classroom after school, you gesture for him to come in with your pointer finger.
Jungkookâs eyes widen as he stumbles into your classroom. âShut the door, please,â You say, getting up from your desk chair.Â
âAm I in trouble?â He jokes as he follows your orders. You glare at the tempting expanse of his back, his tapered waist, his tight ass.
And so you cannot resist teasing him. âHm, do you want to be in trouble with me, Jeon?â You smirk at him as he faces you once again, his throat bobbing as he swallows.
âMaybe,â Jungkook mumbles. He fiddles with one of the rings on his fingers, a nervous habit no doubt.Â
You slowly walk towards him, your hips swaying. Stopping inches away from him, you grab his hand to stop his movements, âYouâre a restless little boy, arenât you?â You flip his palm over and place your hand in his, reveling in the size difference.Â
âW-what are you doing, Dr. (Y/l/n)?â Jungkook looks at you like he isnât sure if he should run or kneel at your feet. You hope you can convince him to choose the latter.
You shift closer to him still and bring your mouth to his ear, âIâm playing with you, Jungkook.âÂ
A whine bubbles up from his throat, âSay my name again. Please. Iâll do anything.â
You drop his hand and step away from him. Moving back to your desk, you prop yourself up on it and cross your legs. Your pencil skirt rides up just enough to show the garters of your tights. Jungkook chokes. You grin.
âI know you will, Jeon,â You continue to smile as he scowls at the use of his last name, âI heard what you said to Tae. You want to please me?â
Rather than be embarrassed like you thought, Jungkook swiftly approaches you and sinks to your feet. How divine. He gazes up at you with a mix of lust and hope, âYes, more than anything, Dr. (Y/l/n).â
You slowly uncross your legs, giving him a glimpse of the lace that lies underneath your skirt. âCall me (y/n).â
His eyes widen further than you thought possible as he nibbles on his lip, âO-okay, (y/n).â
âGood boy,â You purr, reaching out to run your fingers through his hair. Jungkook leans into your touch, sighing.
Hesitantly, he looks up at you, his pupils blown out, âCan I touch you, (y/n)?â
âI suppose,â The words barely pass your lips before his hands are on you. His touch is tentative at first, running his hands slowly up your calves. He surprises you by placing a soft kiss to the inside of your knee, and for once youâre mad at yourself for wearing your favorite garter set.Â
His touch becomes more assured as he moves higher, his fingers digging into your thighs, his mouth placing hot kisses higher and higher. And before he can move his fingers over your panties, you tug his head back with your hand tangled in his hair.
âI donât think I gave you permission to touch me there, Jungkook,â You frown, feigning disappointment.
His pout is fierce in response, âBut, (y/n), youâre so wet. You smell so good. Please let me taste you. Let me make you come. Iâll make you feel good, I promise. Please.âÂ
âOh, I donât know,â You sigh, âI can just call someone else who I already know will make me come hard.â
Jungkook bites your inner thigh, and you moan before you can stop yourself.
âYouâre mine,â He glares up at you, âYouâre my scary smart noona. Your orgasms belong to me.â
You push him backwards by placing the sole of your heel on his forehead, âAnd when was this decided? And why was I not consulted?â
âIt was decided as soon as you looked at me,â Jungkook says like that should have been common knowledge, âAnd I didnât tell you because I thought you would reject me.â
âAnd you donât think Iâll still reject you?â You arch an eyebrow.
âNo,â Jungkook grins, his hand coming up to grab your ankle, âI think you like me.â He tugs your leg over his shoulder, bringing you closer to him. His gaze flicks between your pussy and your eyes.
You roll your eyes at him, âYouâre so infuriating. I canât understand why I like you, but I do. Despite your terrible first impression, your annoyingly cute ass has gotten my attention.â
Jungkookâs grin is blinding, âSo you do like me!â
âAgainst my better judgement,â You sigh, your lips twitching as you canât help but stare fondly down at the smiling boy between your legs. âNow, are you going to please me, baby? Or just stare?â
Jungkook lunges forward, hitching your thigh further over his shoulder and pushing your underwear to the side. Barely pausing to breathe, his hot mouth is on you, closing over your clit without warning. You hum in pleasure, and Jungkook pauses to grin up at you.Â
âSo responsive, noona,â The honorific rolling off his tongue, âAnd you taste so delicious. Youâre so wet for meââ
You groan, âJungkook, for the love of god, shut up and make me come.â
Jungkook sends you one last shit-eating grin before his tongue returns to lick at your pussy, up and down. His mouth finally returns to your clit, sucking it between his lips and swirling his tongue around it.Â
Your hand once again winds its way into his curls, pushing him harder against you. He moans into your pussy.
The sight of the boy youâve lusted after and slightly hated for so long being tongue deep in your pussy practically pushes you over the edge already. God, why hadnât you done this sooner? You think to yourself as Jungkook brings his fingers up to your folds and parts them.
His tongue sinks into you, your hips buck slightly against his face. His other hand comes around to steady you - and to grab your ass. Jungkookâs tongue flicks in and out of you, and you feel the heat building up.Â
âJungkook,â You moan, hand tugging at his hair, âHarder, baby.â
Your words have their desired effect as he replaces his tongue with two of his fingers and places his mouth back on your clit. You moan as his fingers curl inside you, the rings cool to the touch as they brush your walls. You come with a gasp. Jungkook continues to fuck you with his fingers and his mouth, carrying you through your orgasm.
He licks up everything you give him, and when you gently push him off you, he licks his fingers clean. âWell?â Jungkook leans back on his heels, âAre you going to need to call anyone else after I made you come like that?â
âThat depends,â You laugh, âAre you going to keep making me come like that?â
Jungkook nods, his gaze dead serious as he says, â(Y/n), noona, youâre never getting rid of me after that.â
âOh my,â You tease, âWhatever did I get myself into?â
And his answering smile is breathtaking.

ch. 17: Honesty Hours
The golden light filtered through the curtains and bathed her face, causing her eyes to flutter open. An arm tightened around her waist, pulling her closer into the muscular chest that vibrated against her back. âGood morning princess,â he rasped, a deep baritone as his own sleepy eyes peeled open. His warm breath tickled the shell of her ear.
âHaji,â she purred, turning slightly so that she could bury her face into his chest. Iwaizumi chuckled, voice husky as a hand carded through her locks.
âSleep ok?â
The opening of the door surprised Iwaizumi as he glanced up from his dinner, the familiar scent of strawberry filling the room as he stood abruptly - chair screeching as it dragged against the floor.Â
âYouâre back.â
âHaji.â She beamed back at him.Â
His heart stuttered. âI would have picked you up if I knew that you were coming back tonight.â
(Name) shrugged, âI didnât wanna wait for you, I just wanted to be back.â The words âwith youâ hung over them.
Iwaizumiâs brown eyes scanned her figure, taking note of the lack of new marks, though the stench of mountains still lingered. He swallowed, nodding. As she opened her mouth, he held up a hand. âI know youâre tired, baby. Why donât you go shower, and meet me in the nest? Weâll talk about it later.â
Relief filled her features as she bit her bottom lip. âAre you sure?âÂ
Iwaizumi swallowed his reservations, nodding. She had returned to him as she had promised, and for now, heâll have to accept that.Â
He spent the rest of the night holding her close to him, hoping to completely saturate her with his scent. Not quite ready to give her up just yet.
(Name) nodded, eyes shutting as she took in his warm embrace - the scent comforting her. This was how she preferred to wake up: in Iwaizumiâs arms, surrounded by his love as they cuddled in their nest.
âIâm glad. We have a fun day planned ahead, baby. We need to get ready soon.â
âNo.â She snuggled deeper into his chest.Â
âNo?â
Iwaizumi chuckled again as Omegaâs lips jutted out against his left pectoral.Â
âCan we cuddle longer?â She asked childishly, peeking up into his face. (Name) admired the way the sun highlighted the golden flecks in his brown eyes. Iwaizumi nodded, a hand slipping under the shirt she had stolen from him as it gently gripped her hip.
âOf course, princess. Anything for you.â
*****
âAh, Haji!â She grinned, spinning towards him. The long woolen sweater swaying with the movements. (Name) was wearing an oversized wool sweater paired with some leggings and boots. Iwaizumi was wearing a woolen button-up with dark blue jeans. He grinned at (Name) before they looked around their surroundings.Â
They were standing outside the Sendai Aquarium, a place that (Name) had grown up visiting as a child before her parents moved away and before she started high-school. It had been ages since she had last visited.
âOh Haji, youâd have so much fun!â Her eyes sparkled as she fell into the depths of her memories. âThey have all types of awesome marine animals, and their dolphin show was so fun!âÂ
âIs that right?âÂ
They were sitting at the kitchen table, working on homework assignments. (Name) had been doing research on marine animals for her science class, which is what spurred on the topic of the local aquarium. Iwaizumi watched with fascination as her expression filled with such wonder as she flitted through the various photos. His brown eyes darted down to the date before opening a private window on his laptop.Â
As he viewed the options for extra packages, he glanced back up at his mate.Â
Anything to make the love of his life happy.
âYouâre the absolute best,â (Name) squealed as she flung herself into his arms.Â
Iwaizumi chuckled, swinging her slightly before gently placing her down. âJust wait until you see what else I have planned.â
Her eyes widened, âreally?â
Iwaizumi threw his arm around her shoulder as they walked into the aquarium, âReally, really.â
He couldnât help but watch in awe as she led him through the aquarium, following the dimly lit paths as they visited exhibit after exhibit. They had a wonderful morning after their extended cuddle session.
âHaji!â she protested, pouting. âLet me help!â
As she reached for the chopsticks, Iwaizumi smacked her knuckles. âNo, this is your birthday and I will spoil my mate,â he scolded, eyes flashing dangerously.Â
(Name) pouted, crossing her arms as she plopped back onto her seat - her legs swinging. âCâmon, you donât have to do all that. What happened to being partners and mates before all else?â
âYeah we are partners and mates before all else,â Iwaizumi agreed, stirring the eggs in the pan. âBut that means that Iâm allowed to spoil you whenever I see fit, so take the spoiling!âÂ
She rolled her eyes, watching patiently as Iwaizumi finished the rolled eggs. It was definitely a different experience to see Iwaizumi taking over her kitchen, though it wasnât an unwelcome change. It made her heart flutter to see how hard her mate worked in order to treat her, even if it was just for her birthday. Iwaizumi laid out the bowls and plates down in front of her, setting down the grilled salmon in front of her accompanied by the rolled eggs, pickled salad, agedashi tofu, and a bowl of miso soup and rice. A small plate of steamed gyoza sat in between them for them to share. (Name) giggled, of course Iwaizumi would include his favourite food for breakfast.
âWhat?â
âNothing baby.âÂ
Iwaizumiâs gaze softens as he takes his seat beside her, holding her hand and brushing his lips against her knuckles. âI love you.â
âI love you too, Haji.â She picked up her chopsticks, playfully tapping them together. âThis looks so yummy, thank you, baby.â
âAnything for you.â
A soft smile breaches Iwaizumi's face. He glanced at his watch. âHey baby, letâs make our way back to the stadium, yeah?â
Her face drops slightly as her eyebrows furrowed. âOh uh, sure?â They had just been about to visit the Oceania exhibit where the fairy penguins were.Â
She followed his lead as he gently escorted her to the stadium, fighting back to suppress the excitement that throttled his body and pulsed through her mark. âHaji?â she asked, her free hand covering the mark slightly. âWhy are you so excited?â
âShh, youâll see in a second.â They entered the stadium where Iwaizumi had her stop for a moment. âIâll be right back. Stay here.â
âAlright.â
(Name) watched curiously as Iwaizumi went up to the staff before returning with a massive grin. The pangs of his anticipation got harder to ignore. âCâmon.â
âAre you going to tell me whatâs going on now?âÂ
âTa-da!âÂ
With a splash of water, a dolphin hopped onto the flat surface of the floor right beside the water-side.Â
âOh my gosh!â (Name) gasped as the dolphins squealed at her.
âHappy birthday, princess.âÂ
âMiss, come with me.â One of the employees stepped forward, extending a hand for (Name).
âOh okay!â She glanced between Iwaizumi, the employee, and the dolphin - barely able to restrain her own excitement. Iwaizumi watched with crossed arms as (Name) sat beside the dolphin, her eyes widening with unadulterated joy as she was guided to gently stroke the smooth and rubbery skin.Â
âYou can sit with her, sir.âÂ
Iwaizumi glanced at the employee, giving them a short nod. âThank you.â He squatted down beside her, letting one of his arms fall around her waist as they posed for pictures with the dolphin. He couldnât wait to see how the photos from today would turn out.Â
As they walked away from the stadium, (Name) threw herself into Iwaizumiâs arms. âHaji! That was so cool! Iâve always wanted to do that.â
Iwaizumi chuckled, holding her tight. âIâm glad you enjoyed it, babe.âÂ
âYouâre the absolute best,â she sniffed, burying her face into his shoulder.
âYou say that, but the surprises arenât over yet,â he smirked mischievously.
âI feel like my heart is going to give out with all of these surprises,â she mumbles, shaking her head slightly.Â
âI promise, youâll like it.â
âI know I will. Thatâs why Iâm not ready,â she replied looking up at him with semi-glossy eyes. âThank you. Really. Thank you so much for making this the best birthday a girl could ask for.â
Iwaizumi cupped her face. âYouâre the love of my life. My mate. My soulmate. I wonât accept anything but the best for you, alright?â He pressed his lips to her forehead before straightening up, slipping his hand into hers. âNow câmon, letâs take you to your other surprise, yeah?âÂ
He brings her back to the Plaza of Marine Animals, just outside of The Seas of the World exhibit they had just been at before they had left to interact with the dolphins. Iwaizumi double-checked his watch once more.Â
Right on time.Â
The staff members grinned, waving at Iwaizumi, recognising him. He had gone to visit the aquarium weeks ago with the rest of the Seijoh third-years in order to see the various programs and to see what would be best for (Name)âs birthday present.
âHi Iwaizumi-kun. Are you and your mate ready?â
âYes we are,â he affirmed, squeezing her hand. (Name) looked curiously at them, tilting her head slightly.Â
âWhat are we doing?âÂ
The employees looked at one another before handing her a bucket. Her eyes widened, making the connection as they led them to the penguin exhibit. âOh my god, Haji!â She squealed, tears really threatening to overwhelm her now. âAre we-?â
âWell, you never shut up about penguins so I figured you might like to feed them sometime.â Iwaizumi shrugged slightly, hiding his own smile as her entire expression lit up. Her happiness warmed him like the sun on a summerâs afternoon, completely bathing him as if he was a cat sunning itself.Â
(Name) squealed, trembling in sheer excitement as she made her way along the glass before setting into the opened gate. âAw, look at you dapper little fellows,â she cooed before she offered them their fish.Â
The employees snapped photos of them together. A photo of the penguins cuddling up and swarming around her legs as (Name) giggled. Iwaizumi crouched by the penguins, a hand extended to offer a fish to the penguin.Â
âHaji look!â (Name) gasped, pointing at the penguins who dove back into the water after getting a fish. Baby penguins sauntered out of their den, ruffling their fluffy feathers. âTheyâre so small!â
âJust as small as you,â Iwaizumi teased, eyes sparkling with mischief.Â
âHaji!â She pouted, nudging his shoulder with her knee.Â
âYou can get your photos at the front.â The employee informed them as the couple took the last of the fish. âThank you for supporting our aquarium, I hope you have a wonderful day.â
âThank you so much!âÂ
The duo bowed before they made their way to the restrooms to wash their hands.Â
âOh Haji, this was so much fun, thank you so much.â Her eyes brimmed with unshed tears as she peered up at her mate, heart racing. After years of being together, and many, many dates, this had to be her all-time favourite.Â
âJust wait, thereâs more,â Iwaizumi smiled, a hand settling on her hips.
*****
The couple arrived safely home, Iwaizumi closing the door behind him as (Name) shyly looked away. After the fun at the aquarium, the couple had gone to a cafe where Iwaizumi had surprised her with a class on how to make peach nerikiri. From there, the couple had journeyed home.
This was it.Â
This was the moment.Â
Turning to face her mate, she was surprised to find him standing right in front of her, his hand tilting her face up to his. Minty breath fanned across her lips before he captured them with his own. She could faintly taste the peach from the sweets they had made earlier.Â
âWait.â She put her hands onto Iwaizumiâs chest. âBefore we get started...do you wanna help me make my nest?âÂ
Iwaizumiâs eyes widened, his arms falling around her waist. âReally?âÂ
(Name) blinked shyly at him, nodding. âItâd feel right. If we had a nest.â He scooped her into his arms, pulling her into a kiss as he carried her towards the room.Â
âIt would, wouldnât it?â He purred, nosing the mark heâd placed on her. She reciprocated his movements, placing open-mouthed kisses on the spot where her mark would go; her chest vibrated as her purrs met his. âNow, letâs build a nest, shall we?âÂ
Iwaizumi pulled away, his brown eyes sparkling as he looked at his perfect mate. She nodded, affectionately nipping his neck before springing out of his arms. Iwaizumi shivered with pleasure, eyes squeezing shut before he opened them to the sight of his Omega grabbing her nesting blankets from her closet.Â
âWhat should I do?â
âCan you grab the other blankets in the closet and scent them for me?â She climbed onto her bed, neatly arranging the blankets. Iwaizumi did as she asked, excitement spiking through him.Â
In all of their years of courting, she had never before asked him to help her with a nest. Sure heâs been in her nest before, and definitely scented things for her, but never helped her make it. The act of it now felt so much more intimate than he had expected. The room filled with a flurry of pine and strawberry clashing as Iwaizumi moved to hand her the freshly scented items. The Omega pressed them to her face, letting out a satisfied chirp at the scent, before she padded them into the nest. âCan I get your volleyball stuff too?â She turned, lip jutting out.
âYou donât have to pout like that âMega, you know Iâd give it to you if you ask. Iâd give you the world if that's what you wanted.â Iwaizumi chuckled, grabbing his duffel and pulling out his volleyball jerseys. âSorry, Iâve washed them since I used them.âÂ
He tried to hand them to her only for her to push his hand back, his eyebrows quirking up. âScent.â His deep baritone laugh filled the air as he complied.Â
As soon as he was finished, she yanked it out of his hands, patting it into the nest. With a satisfied trill, she jumped in, disappearing from sight. Iwaizumi stood beside it, waiting patiently as he listened to her happy chirps as she rolled around in it, unseen. Her head popped up, beaming as bright as the afternoon sun. âYou can come in, Haji.âÂ
With a soft purr, he pounced. Diving in, he was quick to wrap his arms around his little Omega. She squealed, curling up into him as he started scenting her. âMy beautiful mate,â he breathed, decorating her face with kisses. The setting sunlight trickled in, bathing her in a pool of golden light. Iwaizumiâs eyes sparkled as he took in her beauty, heart fluttering. His hands rested on either side of her head, propping himself up. âI canât believe youâre mine.âÂ
Brown eyes roamed her face before settling on her mark.Â
His mark.Â
His Alpha howled with excitement.Â
âIâm yours, Haji. Always have been.â Soft hands found his face, cupping it as she leaned up. Her scent consumed him as tender lips met. Gently at first, until the fire of desire overtook them. His tongue traced her lips only for her to eagerly part them, her breath coming as low pants. Â
A hand slipped under her shirt, tracing small circles into her hip as his fingers tightened his grip. âI love you so much baby,â he whispered against her plush lips, peppering kiss after kiss as the fire raged through his body. âSo much.â
âHaji, I love you,â (Name) gasped, pulling back. Her eyes blown out with desire and lust. âPlease, I need you.â Her hips rolled up, meeting his as her neck tilted to the side, exposing the mark up to him. âIâm yours, Alpha.â
Iwaizumiâs eyes darkened as the sight of his mark filled his vision. His breath catches as his hand comes up to cup her neck, the other sliding down and tugging at the bottom of her shirt. âTake it off,â he demanded, licking his lips - his eyes not leaving the mark.
(Name) purred, scooting back slightly before tearing the shirt off her body. Her fingers tugged at Iwaizumiâs shirt, whining as she glared at the offending material. Iwaizumiâs lips found her mark, gently nibbling on it as his arms reached down to strip the shirt off.Â
âYouâre so beautiful,â Iwaizumi breathed, inhaling deeply against her mark. âMy pretty mate. Mine.â
âIâm yours,â she whimpered.Â
Iwaizumi ripped down her leggings, tossing them onto the floor out of his way before he pushed off his own dark-blue jeans. He settled between her legs, the scent of their arousal thick in the air and clashing.Â
(Name) whimpered, pressing her hips up against his, slick escaping her.Â
âLemme take care of you baby,â Iwaizumi cooed, nibbling on the side of her neck as he stroked his hard cock.Â
âPlease,â she gasped, jolting as he tapped the head of his cock against her clit.Â
His hips rolled against hers as he pushed himself forward, lips frantically capturing hers. His tongue slipped into her mouth just as his dick sunk in - welcoming him home. Soft, breathy moans met his baritone grunts as she clenched on his cock. âFuck baby, just like that,â Iwaizumi cursed, sucking on her bottom lip. âFuck youâre so tight.â
âFeel so good, Haji,â she whimpered, her hands scrambling to grab onto whatever she could until they settled on his biceps. He hissed as her nails dug in, the pleasure overwhelming him. Her velvet walls caressed his dick as he slowly pushed his way in. âSo big,â she moaned. Iwaizumi waited patiently as he bottomed out, the tip just kissing her cervix. He leaned closer, a hand gliding up her back as he held her close to him, leaving a trail of goose-bumps.Â
Hot, open-mouthed kisses were pressed along the column of her throat. Iwaizumi sucked on her flesh, littering the flesh with darkened marks. Her arms came to rest around his chest under his arms, letting her nails scrap his back. Fingers tapped his back twice, âyou can move now Alpha,â she whispered, nosing along his collarbone and planting her own desperate kisses.Â
During her heats or his ruts, they were prone to having rough, aggressive sex where he would spit on, slap, and spank her for hours, chasing orgasm after orgasm until theyâd both nearly collapsed. He took it slowly this time, enjoying the sensation of each movement as he held her tightly against him.
âI love you so much baby. Never wanna hurt you.â Iwaizumi lapped at the love-bite he had just left on her chest. She whimpered under his caress. Iwaizumi chuckled softly under his breath as he felt her pussy pulse around him. After so much practice, he knew (Name)âs body like the back of his hand. He knew exactly how to position himself, how to hold her, and just how much pressure he needed to bring her to the brink and back. He was hers, and she was his and moments like this just proved how well their souls were meant to be.Â
But if all those times were just fucking, then he wanted this to be the time he made love to his mate. This time was special after all - it would be their first time they would have sex since heâs marked her.Â
Where she would finally place her mark on him.Â
Electricity shot through his spine at the mere thought.Â
Finally, he would be able to claim her as fully his - just as he was fully hers from mind, body, and spirit.  Â
âPlease baby, I wanna make you cum on my cock,â Iwaizumi moaned, his nose nudging hers as his eyes squeezed shut. âMake you fall apart on me, wouldnât you like that, pretty girl?â A sharp thrust had him pressing against her cervix again. He shuddered, his orgasm creeping up on him. â(Name),â he choked out, eyes snapping to her face. She made the prettiest faces when she was falling apart under him. It was a sight that he would never tire of. Nothing could compare to the unbridled pleasure of having his mate in his arms.Â
Her eyes snapped open, anxiety squeezing her heart. âYes, Hajime?â
âTell me you love me.â His brown eyes glistened as a glimmer of hesitation graced them.
âHaji, I love you. I love you so much.â She cupped his face. âI never want to be without you, ever.â Frantic kisses decorated his face, his chest, anything she could reach. âIâm yours,â she whispered, leaning up to nose his scent gland.
He let out a stifled moan, shivering under her touch as another wave of pleasure swept over him. âMark me baby.â His nose brushed against his mark, sending sparks through her. Her pussy clenched onto him.
She pressed a kiss to his gland, licking her dry lips. âTogether,â she breathed. His cock twitched at the suggestion. âWanna be yours,â (Name) murmured, hands tracing along his jaws delicately in contrast to the aggressive way his hips met hers. âForever.âÂ
âAlways, baby,â Iwaizumi promised, sweat dripping down his forehead. He leaned forward, exposing his gland to her as he nosed along her mark. (Name)âs jaw opened, canines pressing lightly down onto his flesh. Iwaizumi shuddered, groaning at the brief contact, thrusting forward and grinding his dick deeper against her cervix. Delicately placing his teeth onto her mark again, he brought them to the brink. One of his hands slipped down, messily rubbing circles onto the sensitive bud while the other gripped the back of her neck.Â
With one final thrust, her walls fluttered so deliciously around him.Â
As his orgasm surged forward like a raging flame, his teeth sunk into her flesh, bonding them together once more. Iwaizumiâs eyes rolled back as she placed her mark onto him. An explosion of lights flickered behind his eyelids, every nerve burning as pleasure raged through him.
âHaji!â She cried, pulling back.Â
Red coated her teeth as tears flowed down her cheeks. (Name) placed delicate kitten-licks over the mark, body quivering under him as wave after wave of pleasure washed over her.
âFuck,â Iwaizumiâs body seized up, ropes of cum coating her walls. His movements slowed to languid thrusts, his knot swelling and locking them together. âI love you, (Name),â Iwaizumi panted, licking away the last traces of blood from his marking.Â
âI love you too, Haji,â she whimpered under him, eyes fluttering shut as her head fell back onto the bed. He pulled away, wiping the blood away from his lips before he captured her lips with us. Heâd never cum as hard as he did when sheâd marked him, and based on the wetness between them, sheâd felt the same way. âYouâre stuck with me for life,â (Name) teased, bright eyes looking up at him.
âIâm okay with that.â Â
*****
âI was really scared Iâd lose you.âÂ
A pang shot through her as a wave of sadness slipped through the mark. She shifted, tilting her head up to look at her mate. They were still laying in the nest, his arm around her waist holding her flush against him.Â
âEver since middle school, girls would go out of their way to become my friend or show interest in me, only to go behind my back and confess to Oikawa.â A scoff left his lips. âI was so fucking happy when we met at that volleyball game.âÂ
A tug, and she was on top of him, legs intertwined with his. Their eyes met, and she could just see her reflection in his glassy eyes. A sigh left his lips, the warm air fanning across her cheeks.Â
âFinally I could have something that was mine. I couldnât catch myself from falling for you.â Calloused fingers reached up to tuck her hair behind her ear. His eyes closed, and she buried her face into the crook of his neck, pressing her lips gently to their mark. âAnd then that asshole messed around with you, and I thought that I had lost the only person who was supposed to be mine.âÂ
The wave intensified, becoming a current that they were being dragged out into. His grip tightened while his scent burned.Â
âYou were so defenseless and I just felt so helpless. I couldnât protect you, and I was worried that youâd leave me because of it.â Droplets rained onto her skin as she listened. He had never opened up to her like this before, and she didnât want to interrupt, didnât want him to close back up. Her hand reached up, caressing his cheek. A soft whimper escaped him as he leaned into her comforting touch before he cleared his throat, willing the icy claws away.Â
âBut when you stayed, I couldnât help it, I got so insecure.â His voice quivered as he continued, gulping loudly. âAnd then you were managing the volleyball team, and thatâs when I started feeling worse. Ushiwaka in a position of power over you? Who knows what he couldâve made you do, what fucking shit heâd put you through. All the time we used to be spending together, youâd be spending with him. I just couldnât help thinking to myself, is he making her happy? Does he know how lucky he is to have you there during practice? Do you prefer his pack over mine? And I just kept thinking about how heâd convince you to leave me, or somehow show you that he was the better option.âÂ
The droplets became a stream. He sniffled.Â
One of his hands reached up, playing with her hair in an attempt to comfort himself. She began to pump some soothing pheromones in the air, letting him rein in some control of his emotions - sensing there was more he needed to say.Â
âAnd after he marked you? I thought it was over for us. Of course youâd choose him, heâs a fucking Apex Alpha. Heâs one of the best aces in Japan. How can I compete with that?âÂ
At this, she pulled away from his grip, sitting up and pulling him up with her. He whimpered at the loss of contact. âHajime.â Her eyes surveyed his face as her hands went to cup his face. Leaning in, she kissed away his tears.Â
âYouâre the love of my life.âÂ
A kiss to his right cheek.Â
âThereâs nobody more perfectly imperfect than you.âÂ
To his left cheek.Â
âThereâs not one day where I donât think about my future with you, about our future.âÂ
His nose.
âA life without you is not one that I want to live in.âÂ
His sniffles got louder as he gripped her hip harder. She pulled his head into her chest, gently combing through his hair as he let go, crying into her flesh. âIâm so sorry that this happened. I promise that youâre the only Alpha for me. This pack - our pack - is the only one I want. I donât give a fuck about Ushijima. I donât need an Apex Alpha or the best ace in Japan. I donât care what people say, youâre the best ace. I only want you, Hajime Iwaizumi. My soulmate, my Alpha.â With that, she pressed a kiss to his forehead. Â
His tender sobs became hiccups before he became overwhelmed with emotion once more. âBe mine?â he whimpered.
âI always have been. For now and always, Iâm yours.âÂ
As they laid in the comfort of each otherâs company, (Name) couldnât help the breathy sigh of satisfaction that left her. How lucky was she to find someone who loved her as much as Iwaizumi did?Â
*****
âI would like to apologize for my actions.â
The two best friends sat awkwardly in their dorm, Tendou on the top bunk and Ushijima at his desk.Â
âI could have died.âÂ
Ushijima sucked in a harsh gulp of air. âI know.â
âWakatoshi, youâre my best friend. You know I would do anything for you, right?âÂ
He let his head hang as he nodded. âI know. But that does not remove my guilt. I am sorry that I put you in danger.â
âI know I shouldnât have gone back to the dorms, but I was worried.âÂ
Tendou hummed slightly, fiddling with his white plush dragon, the very same one that (Name) had gifted him after learning about his Studio Ghibli preferences.Â
The last remnants of strawberry clung to the room. Ushijimaâs rut had eased up after he had knotted (Name) that first time. After proceeding to do so another three or four times that night, Ushijima had regained control over himself. He had felt only extreme remorse since she had left his dorm room. Â
âI did not mean to worry you.â
âYou were in a lot of pain, Wakatoshi. The whole floor could hear you and I figured that would be the case after you marked her. How are you feeling now though?â
Ushijimaâs fingers drummed on his desk. âGuilty.âÂ
âWhat for?â
âI should not have marked her.â
Tendou snorted, nodding. âYou arenât wrong there. So what now?â
âWhat do you mean?â
âWhat do you plan on doing about your relationship with her?â Tendou raised an eyebrow. âYou know as well as I do that sheâs our Omega, you essentially trapped her into that.â
Ushijimaâs brows furrowed. âI did not trap her. I gave her a choice.â
âA choice where she would have to decide between Alphas she knew and trusted and other Alphas sheâs barely interacted with.âÂ
âBut that was still her choice.â
Tendou leaned over the bunk, vermillion eyes fixing Ushijima with a hard stare. The Apex Alpha flinched, unused to such a serious expression on his best friend's face. âWakatoshi. It doesnât matter what you or your Alpha believes. (Name) has a bond-mate and you intruded on that relationship by courting her. Did you even ask her?âÂ
Ushijimaâs nerves froze. A bond-mate? Why hadnât she said something sooner? He shook his head, eyes darkening.Â
âI gave her the watch and she accepted.â
âBut did you verbally ask her?âÂ
Ushijima paused before shaking his head. âI did not think that I needed to.âÂ
Tendou barked with shrill laughter. âSeriously? I would have thought you knew better than that, Wakatoshi. Weâve moved past those traditional times. Itâs all about consent these days.âÂ
âI- I didnât know.âÂ
The middle-blocker snorted. âI care about you deeply, Wakatoshi-kun, but this is a difficult situation. You and (Name) need to both talk it out, face-to-face, without any influence from pheromones or your rut and her heat. Sheâs probably bonded with that wing-spiker by now.â
âI know.â
Tendou gave him a final nod before rolling back over.Â
âAre you hurt?â Ushijima asked.Â
Tendou looked over his shoulder, giving his friend a small smile. âNothing that I canât recover from Wakatoshi. Good night.â
âGood night, Tendou.âÂ
Ushijima climbed out of his chair, plopping down onto his mattress and laying down. The strawberry scent floating up from his bedsheets. He rolled over, burying his face into the pillow where the scent lingered the strongest.Â
He knew he wasnât guilt-free here.
He knew that (Name) was in a difficult situation.Â
He knew that his Alpha, his instincts, had landed them both into this. Why hadnât he tried harder to control it?
Ushijima huffed, squeezing his eyes shut. He had to fix this.Â
He had to.Â
BONUS
âOooh, Iwa-chan look!âÂ
Oikawa grabbed the octopus hat, shoving it onto Iwaizumiâs head who scowled at his best friendâs antics. On his other side, Makki and Mattsun were engaged in a swordfish fight, smacking the plushies around in an attempt to force the other to submit.Â
âI should have never asked you idiots to come with me,â Iwaizumi growled, snatching the plush swordfish out of Makki and Mattsun hands before using both to smack Oikawa across the head.
âOuch!â Oikawa whined, rubbing his head. He pouted. âWell why invite us if we canât even have fun?â
âWe arenât meant to be here for fun!â Iwaizumi replied, replacing the merchandise before apologising to the store owner. âYouâre supposed to help me decide which thing (Name) would like better.â
Makki snorted as the group made their way to the exhibits. âWouldnât you know that? Since youâre her mate and all.â
Iwaizumi face-palmed.Â
Why oh why did he think this would be a good idea?
âDo you think we could kidnap a penguin?â
The third years turned to see a grey-haired lanky male, who had his face pressed against the glass as he stared at the penguins.Â
âYâknow what, Iâm just going to talk to the employees. Stay here.â Iwaizumi gave Oikawa a pointed look before he disappeared in search of an aquarium employee.Â
âMaybe we should try and steal a penguin too,â Makki muttered to Mattsun. Loud footsteps distracted the Seijoh third-years, drawing their attention to the entrance of the exhibit.
âLev!â A short Alpha stormed towards the tall multiracial male, kicking him square in the back. âI told you to wait at the entrance for the rest of the pack!â The Alpha glared at the taller Alpha before grabbing his arm and dragging him off. âI swear, we canât take you anywhere.â
âBut Yaku! You canât lose me.â Levâs eyes sparkle as he points at the fairy penguins. âYouâre as big as these penguins! Youâll see me anywhere you go.â
An angry tick-mark appeared on the liberoâs forehead. âLev!â He snapped, his Alpha tone slipping.Â
Lev flinched, a shiver running down his spine as he let out a little whine. âDonât get mad!âÂ
âYaku, stop harassing the first year.â Kuroo appeared, crossing his arms as he tapped his foot. âYou already know heâs an idiot, so why do you continue getting upset over it?âÂ
âJust cause heâs an idiot doesnât mean he canât respect me,â Yaku scowled. âWhereâs everyone else?â
âReminds you of anyone else you know?â Makki snickered, glancing between Oikawa and the direction that Iwaizumi had taken off in. Oikawa ignored them, still picking through the various shelves of the gift-shop.
Kuroo shrugged. âFukunaga and Inuka are taking photos with the seals.â
âYou can take photos with the seals here?â Makki asked under his voice, nudging Mattsun.
âDo you think we could steal a seal?â Mattsun joked before they both chuckled.Â
âCâmon, letâs go find the rest of the pack. We donât have much time for this âteam-bondingâ before we go meet Karasuno.â
âKarasuno?â Oikawa muttered, eyes narrowing as he snapped to attention. He sniffed the air, scanning the Alphas. âWho are they and why are they meeting them?âÂ
The question was answered by the tall halfie.Â
âIt was such a long trip from Tokyo,â he whined. âWhy canât we spend more time here?â
âLev, just do what we say,â Yaku rolled his eyes, his nostrils flaring slightly.
At that moment, Iwaizumi returned.Â
âHey, I got everything booked. You ready to head out?â He checked his wrist. âIf weâre lucky, weâll be able to hangout with (Name) at home and have dinner.â
Makkiâs face lit up. â(Name) and food? Sign me up!âÂ
As they walked off, chatting about their plans, Oikawa kicked the ground angrily muttering under his breath.
Iwaizumi rolled his eyes. âWhy are you so pissy?â
âWhy do all the other teams get to practice with Tokyo teams? Weâre just as good!âÂ
Irritation filled the wing-spikers face. âWhy donât you talk to the coaches? Thatâs how Karasuno did it.â
Mattsun raised his eyebrow. âHow do you know that?âÂ
Iwaizumi shoved his hands into his jacket, âI talk to Kageyama sometimes.â
âYou what?!âÂ
Across the town at the Karasuno gym, Kageyama sneezed mid-set.Â
*****
âWelcome to this short class! Today, weâll be learning how to make two different types of nerikiri wagashi, Strawberry Daifuku, and three-colour dango and weâll be pairing those with matcha green tea that we will brew later.âÂ
(Name)âs eyes sparkled as she bounced in her seat, eyes flitting from the instructor to her mate. Iwaizumi looked calm and collected as he leaned back in his seat, his elbow on the back of her chair.Â
âSince you all have partners, weâll be working on both two different desserts at once. Please choose one person to work on the nerikiri and the other to work on the daifuku.âÂ
She carefully followed the instructions to mix the flour, sugar, and water into the pot to dissolve. Beside her, Iwaizumi followed the instructions to make the strawberry daifuku. Amusement filled him at the sweet scent of the fruits. He preferred his mateâs scent to them.Â
âWhy are we taking this class again?â Someone whispered behind them as the instructor went over the ingredients that they would be using.
âAone wanted to.â An Alpha snorted.Â
The voice seemed vaguely familiar. Iwaizumiâs brow furrowed, throwing a curious glance over his shoulder. He almost choked as he realised who was behind them.Â
âGuess even the mighty wall does cute stuff for bonding, huh?â (Name) said softly, grinning as she looked up at her mate.Â
Iwaizumi chuckled, shaking his head. He definitely hadnât expected to see them there, nor did he expect the formidable middle-blocker of Date Tech to be the very reason they were there.Â
âYour peach nerikiri is so cute Aone-san!âÂ
The couple jumped slightly, startled by the loudness of the voice. Heads turned to the tall, blonde-haired male as he eagerly bounced in his seat.
âKogane!â Futakuchi scowled, face-palming. His nostrils flared as his cedar scent spiked slightly. âWhat did we say about inside voices?â
Koganegawa pauses, tapping his chin. âTo use them when weâre inside?â
âExactly.â The newly appointed Captain sighed. âNow, letâs be quiet and finish this class, okay?âÂ
âYes Captain, sir!â Kogane salutes only to accidentally knock the bowl of dry ingredients, sending it flying all over Aone. Koganegawaâs jaw dropped. âI am so, so sorry Aone-san!âÂ
Aone blinked.Â
Then the middle-blocker gave the young setter a nod before turning his dough. The Alpha carefully smoothed out the wrinkles, shaping it. Futakuchi glanced over from his dango, observing the fluid movements.Â
âHave you made these before, Aone?âÂ
Aone nodded again, eyes locked on the pastries.Â
âI didnât know you were into sweets,â Koganegawa whispered to no avail. His voice still echoed in the classroom.Â
âI grew up making them.â Aone replied simply.Â
Futakuchi tilted his head. âWas it to impress Omegas?âÂ
Aone shrugged, remaining silent.
âOmegas like it when you make them desserts?â
(Name) stifled a giggle as she tried to keep her eyes on her own treats. She had no idea who this âKoganeâ was, but he reminded her of Goshiki and Kindaichi. Her heart hummed, missing the two young males. Silently, she decided to host a mini-dessert party with her underclassmen as soon as she had a chance.Â
âI swear to god, Kogane, Iâm glad youâre a Beta.â
âThanks!â Koganegawa paused. âWait, was that supposed to be an insult?âÂ
âJust make your daifuku.â

FUN FACTS
đ Iwaizumi had been miserably picking at his dinner and staring at photos of him and his mate when (Name) had unexpectedly arrived
đ As soon as (Name) felt that Ushijima had enough control, she had left his dorm. She didnât like the way she had to rush off that morning and how her conversation with Iwaizumi had ended
đ Regardless of whether or not she was in heat, (Name) had a nest built in her room. She enjoyed the safety it provided and it wouldnât feel complete without Iwaizumi
đ Iwaizumi had been invited to that final trip to the aquarium with (Name) and her parents, but had to skip out due to his own family obligations. Outside of visiting it with the Seijoh 4 to plan this date, Iwaizumi had never actually been to the aquarium before
đ The Alpha typically only cooked with (Name) or cooked for her when she was sick. The Omega typically wouldnât let him cook by himself if she had a choice
đ Marine animals are (Name)âs all-time favourite. She canât choose which she likes the most and will default to ocean documentaries whenever she has a chance. Iwaizumi and the Seijoh boys will get her plushies of the animals whenever they notice one she doesnât have (which isnât very many)
đ The couple got a DVD of all the photos they had taken that day. The employees - knowing that it was (Name)âs birthday - also managed to get some sneaky pictures of the couple around the aquarium. Iwaizumi plans on printing those out and displaying them in their apartmentÂ
đ Initially, they would take turns planning dates but after a few months of courting, they decided just to plan them together as those dates would end up more fun
đ Iwaizumi loves to buy (Name) sweets, but he thought it would mean more if he learned how to make it himself. Secretly he was already planning on going to Oikawaâs place to learn how to make other sweets
đ It wasnât often that Iwaizumi would voice his insecurities, and it always meant the world to (Name) when he did. She never pressured him because she knew that he would be more stressed out. Instead, she would provide him whatever support he needed
đ (Name) had been shopping when she saw the plushie of Haku and knew immediately that she had to get it for Tendou
đ Tendou had never spoken up before about the situation between (Name) and Ushijima. Initially, he was all for Ushijimaâs happiness and congratulated the male on finding a mate, but after getting to know her better, Tendou couldnât help but feel guiltyÂ
đ During their swordfish fight, Makki had knocked over a glass bowl which would have shattered. Thankfully, Iwaizumi predicted that would happen and was already primed to catch the bowl   Â
đ Lev was unsuccessful in his scheme to kidnap a penguin, but Fukunaga - wanting to one-up the first-year - managed to steal one up until they were about to walk out. The two are now banned from the Sendai Aquarium
đ Date Tech has a monthly hangout where team members all switch off on getting to pick what to do. This month was Aoneâs choice
đ Futakuchi meant his comment as a back-handed compliment. He worries how Koganegawa would treat his Omega if he was an Alpha, especially since it was common knowledge that Omegas love sweets.

Prologue Chapter 1 Chapter 2
Friday had been a strange day for Faye. Â First, Henry wasn't on set. It took an embarrassingly long time for her to remember being told he had a few days off of filming.
Then, Mrs. Anderson sent her a strange series of texts asking about him. Sure, Faye had mentioned him a few times. Also, Briar was constantly going on about the man with the fluffy dog, so it made some sort of sense that she would ask about him. Not to mention Mrs. Anderson was always trying to find her a 'nice young man' to settle down with, so fixating on the one man she had mentioned wasn't that odd in retrospect.
Then, as she was pulling her beat up car into her driveway, she noticed an unfamiliar, shiny vehicle already parked outside. Maybe that was the new car Mr. Anderson had been dying for? Why would he park at her house instead of in his own drive a few doors down, though? Was it a surprise for Mrs. Anderson?
Now, she was walking into her house only to be greeted by a very excited, very large fluffball at the door.
"Kal?" That was definitely Kal. He was the only black and white Akita she knew with the habit of knocking his rear into her leg for attention, although his getup was rather strange. Why was Henry's dog in her house, and why was he wearing fairy wings, her daughter's dress up fairy tutu and at least a dozen mardi gras necklaces? Also, the floppy sun hat on his head was a nice touch. He seemed to enjoy having it on as well. That, or it was tied on too well for him to get off.
The dog's attire should have prepared her for when she looked into the living room. There sat Mrs. Anderson, her sun hat on along with one of Briar's scarfs and glow in the dark glasses perched above her regular seeing glasses. Next to her was Briar, her full fairy princess costume on, complete with wings, crown and a scepter, pouring pretend tea into the strangest guest's cup.
There sat Henry Cavill, cross legged on her living room floor, tiny plastic tea cup in his massive hand. On his head was perched a plastic crown, a feather boa wrapped around his thick neck, and if the sparkles were anything to go by, Briar had attacked him with her glitter body spray.
"Mommy!" Briar gasped, dropping her plastic tea pot and racing over to her mother, wrapping her arms around her legs.
"Hi, sweetie. What's going on?" Faye asked cautiously.
"You're late for tea." Henry replied, taking a pretend sip from his cup.
"I hope it's alright, dear. You did say he was a friend, and Briar seemed so fond of his dog, I didn't have the heart to turn him away." Mrs. Anderson explained.
"Uhh... yeah, it's fine." Faye mumbled, still taking in the sight before her, Kal and Briar rejoining the tea party as though nothing was out of the ordinary.
"My mistake. I thought we agreed on Friday." Henry apologized, pushing himself up. "We've only been here a little while. We can leave if you'd like."
"Oh, no. That's ok." Faye assured, finally setting her bag down, hastily turning over her sketch pad on the entrance table. Some things weren't meant for anyone other herself to see.
"I'll just be heading off then, Miss Warren." Mrs. Anderson excused herself, taking off her borrowed accessories and gathering her things. "You all have fun."
"So, uhh... how... how long have you been here?" Faye asked once she closed the door behind the older woman, quickly scanning the room to make sure nothing difficult to explain was in plain sight.
"Not long." Henry assured, sitting back down at Briar's insistent tugging, folding his long muscular legs back up as he settled on the floor in front of the coffee table.
"More tea!" Briar demanded, holding the cup up to his mouth, prompting him to take another pretend sip.
"You make wonderful tea, miss." Henry complimented, Briar preening in response.
"Mommy, you want tea?" Briar asked, a wide yawn cracking her little face.
"I would love some, sweetheart, but it's time for your nap." Faye pointed out.
"No! I wanna play tea!" Briar whined, plopping back on her backside in a pout.
"Briar." Faye warned, raising a brow at her.
"But... but... tea party!" Briar insisted.
"We can play more tea party after your nap. You're getting grumpy."
"No I'm not!" Briar insisted, her chubby face drawn into a scowl.
"That was grump right there." Faye pointed out, gently scooping up her cranky daughter. "Now let's go lay you down for a nap, and then we can play more tea party when you wake up."
"I don't wanna nap!" Briar yawned, rubbing her hazel eyes in an attempt to stay awake.
"You need one."
"I don't wanna nap, I'm tired!"
"Sound logic, my love." Faye sighed, settling her daughter into her bed, tucking her in with her favorite stuffed unicorn. The little girl was asleep before Faye even reached the door, curled up around her stuffie with her little tush up in the air.
"Sorry you had to see that. She really hates going down for a nap when she's having fun."
"Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to get her wound up." Henry apologized, removing the plastic crown from his head.
"Don't worry about it, she's just happy to have more guests at her tea party." Faye assured, picking up the plastic dishes and putting them back in the toy box.
"She was quite insistent we join, though I do think Kal enjoyed getting dressed up." Henry chuckled, beginning to remove the dog's costume.
"Good thing you agreed, otherwise you would have faced the wrath of Briar." Faye giggled, noticing the unicorn and rainbow stickers all over Henry's back.
"It was a pleasure attending her party. She is quite a wonderful host." Henry laughed, stowing the costumes back in the toy box. "Now, I do believe you requested help with a cake for our little party host."
"Yes, right this way." Faye waved, heading off to her tiny eat in kitchen. "What do we need?"
"Well... you have an oven, so that's a start. I brought the ingredients with me. Do you happen to have a cake pan?" Henry listed, opening the fridge and removing the bag he'd brought along.
"I have a glass baking pan." Faye offered.
"We will work with that." Henry agreed. "Now, measuring cups?"
"They are around here somewhere."
"Do you know how to use them?" Henry teased, setting the ingredients from the bag onto the counter.
"Vaguely. I just usually eyeball everything when I cook." Faye admitted.
"That won't work with baking. It's a science and the measurements have to be exact." Henry explained. "So, we'll start with the dry ingredients. Can you measure out two cups of flour?"
"I have no idea where the cup is. I have half a cup."
"Four of those, then." Henry absently mumbled, scanning over his mother's recipe card again. He glanced over to see her attacking the bag of flour with the measuring cup, wincing to himself as he watched. "Faye?"
"Mmhmm?"
"Forgive me for asking, but do you know how to measure flour?" Henry asked, cringing when she tried to smooth the top down with her hand, causing a flour explosion in her face.
"I'm guessing what I just did wasn't right."
"Not quite." Henry chuckled, stepping behind her, taking her hand in his and dumping the flour back into the bag. "You can use a spoon to sift it. Packed flour and unpacked flour are two totally different measurements." He explained, handing her a spoon and taking her other hand in his, showing her how to sift the flour into the measuring cup.
Faye tried to keep her cool and ignore the fact that Henry Cavill was pressed up behind her, holding her hands and showing her how to measure flour like it was the most natural thing in the world. Surely this was just some dream and if it was, no one had better wake her up.
"Got it?" Henry asked, turning his head to look at her, snapping her from her thoughts. Faye did her best not to stare at his lips, so close and yet so far away. She could just lean in...
"Yeah, got it." She quickly confirmed, forcing her attention back to the task at hand.
And so it went, Henry leading the way through the mysterious land of baking, Faye following blindly behind. He even let her lick the spoon when he was done with it, and he in no way stared in awe at the way her tongue moved around it. He was a gentleman, after all, and imagining what else that tongue could do would be highly inappropriate.
It wasn't until after the cake had been pulled from the oven to cool that Briar woke up, wandering into the kitchen with her now disheveled princess costume still on, her hair sticking out in strange angles as she rubbed her eyes.
"You're here!" Briar gasped, taking notice of the giant in the room and scurrying over to him, throwing her arms around his legs.
"Nice to know where I stand." Faye pouted as Henry scooped the girl up, her daughter not even glancing her way in favor of talking to Henry.
"Can we play dollies?" Briar asked, batting her thick dark lashes at him, her chubby lip sticking out in a pout.
"I've never played before, you'll have to show me how." Henry agreed, smiling down at the little girl held securely in his arm.
"Mommy, you look silly!" Briar giggled, finally looking over at her mother.
"That's not nice." Faye gently scolded.
"What on your face?" Briar asked.
"Mommy had an incident with the flour." Henry explained. Shit. Had she really spent the last hour, practically drooling over her guest with flour all over her face? She really should write a book on how to flirt. No doubt, it would be a best seller.
"I'm gonna go get cleaned up." Faye mumbled, her face heating up beneath the flour coating as she ducked her head and beelined down the hall.
"I'll be learning how to play dolls." Henry chuckled after her, carrying the toddler back to the living room so her mother could shower in peace.
Fifteen minutes later, Briar was still explaining the different names of her dolls and stuffed animals, piling each on top of Henry and resorting to stuffing them under Kal's paws when she ran out of room on her semi-willing captive. Faye cracked the bathroom door open and glanced to the living room to make sure her guest was thoroughly distracted before she slipped out of the bathroom, towel wrapped tightly around herself as she snuck down the hall to her bedroom, breathing a sigh of relief when she closed the door behind herself. She could almost convince herself he was interested in her with the couple times she'd caught him looking her way when he thought she wouldn't notice. No need to scare him off with her mom-bod now.
Sure, it hadn't been that hard on her figure. She wasn't left with the same saggy stomach her mother had after her pregnancies, but then again, her mother had carried two sets of twins almost to term. Talk about a superwoman. Though she did decide no more children after her younger brother and sister had been born.
"You keep giving me a two for one deal, I'm not doing this again!"
Good times. Good times. The wonders of having twins running strongly in your family. Faye had only given birth to one, but she still bore the stretch marks on her stomach and breasts, and the loose skin on her stomach had never really gone back to the way it was before.
Faye was shaken from her thoughts by her daughter's all too familiar exclamation coming from behind her. "Mommy, you're nakie!" She would never understand her daughter's near obsession with pointing out the fact that she was in fact, naked during and directly after showers, but it was without a doubt one of her favorite hobbies. Right behind tea parties if she had to guess.
"Wait, what? Oh!" That was not her daughter's voice. Faye's head snapped up to find Briar's chubby hand wrapped tightly around Henry's little finger, his other hand clapped firmly over his eyes. "I am so sorry! She wanted to get her stuffed dragon, I did not know this was your room!"
Faye snatched her towel off the bed and wrapped it around herself again, grabbing the dragon from the pillow and handing it off to Briar. The little girl happily took her dragon and led Henry back down the hall, not bothering with the door. The wonders of being young and innocent. She had no clue what she had just done.
Faye quickly shut the door herself, remembering to turn the lock this time, though it was a moot point by then. She threw on a tank top, leggings and her fluffy socks before forcing herself to venture back out. Henry was actually sitting on the couch this time, doing his best to focus on what the little girl was saying, though truth be told, his mind kept wandering back to the quick glimpse he had gotten of Faye's backside before he registered what was going on. It was even better than the glances he had gotten when she bent over in front of him to rummage through her make up bag. Nice and round, plump yet firm. The kind of ass you just want to squeeze as you're-
"So... " Faye started awkwardly, quickly breaking Henry out of his own head. "Lunch sound good?"
"Chocolate sandwiches!" Briar quickly suggested, hugging her stuffed bunny to her chest as she bounced around.
"It looks like I'm making chocolate sandwiches, though I could probably also manage a peanut butter and jelly."
"I wouldn't want to impose, though I did want to apologize again-"
"Accident's happen, but we are going to pretend that one didn't, ok?" Faye interjected. "So nutella or peanut butter and jelly?"
"Umm... either is fine."
"Briar, keep them company while mommy makes lunch, ok?" Faye suggested, going back to the kitchen before her false confidence faded. If he was on board with repressing and denying, so was she.
Now, only one questioned remained: Would Henry prefer his sandwiches cut into dinosaurs or puzzle pieces?

Nia Revenge (Chapter 1)
âNatasha, how come I have to tell you constantly to clean your room? Itâs like you hear me but donât even care! Not only that you know Mommy and Daddy will be here in an hour. I get sick of cleaning after youâ. I looked at my five-year-old sister as she began to cry out loud for our parents and I immediately felt horrible. I was only 12 and most of the responsibilities fell on me when our parents werenât home. I let out a long sigh and put the broom against the wall. I hugged her tightly and gently said âIâm sorry sister.â Her big bright eyes looked at me and said, âPlease donât be mad at me Nia, Iâm trying to help,â showing me her mix match socks.
âOk sisterâ, I said, âPut them in the hamper pleaseâ, looking at her makes me melt inside she had one blue eye and one brown. The only one in my family to have it. Our mother said it was her birthmark. I had to agree. With her it looked beautiful on her golden-brown skin. Her black soft coils in two big pigtails bounced as she bent over to pick up her little socks on the ground. My mother and father were middle school sweethearts. They grew up next door to each other and their parents were good friends as well. My mother was a chocolate Amazonian queen to me. She had to be 5â9 or even 5â10, and when she wore heels, it was like she was a statue in an art museum. She was a full-figured woman with a beautiful smile, and she smelled like honey dew. We got our thick coils from her, and our big bright smile.
My father was shorter than my mother, 5â8, but his personality was 6â4. He was what people called a âjack of all tradesâ working on cars, fixing on old run-down houses and flipping them with his best friend, Don. There was nothing Nathan couldnât do and that was the problem. My father was the milk man baby, as the older people in my mother family would say, his hazel green eyes and model like features could make anyone fall into a trance. He was witty and had a way with words. My father in the public eye was charming, sweet even polite. I wish he had that kindness for his own flesh and blood. My mother had me on a cold November morning, she was 17 turning 18 in December and had plans on going to college in the fall of the following year. She loved science and math.
She was the smartest in her family, my grandmother would say. The dumbest shit she did was meet, Nathan. When she met my father, she became a different person. Once being an advocate of refraining from sex till marriage to an advocate of sneaking out the house getting fucked in cars and run-down hotels with my father. You might ask how a 12-year-old knows this information, but being dropped off at my grandmotherâs house and hearing my aunts talk among themselves about how gullible my mother was for Nathan disgusted them.
âNo offense Nia babyâ, theyâd say while putting their fingers to their mouths as a signal to not repeat what I heard. And I didnât because I enjoyed going over there and playing with all my cousins when they would come over. The doorknob turned to the front door in living room. âHurry up, I gotta peeâ, my mother said outside the door. My father pushed open the door and my pregnant mother waddle through the threshold making her way to the bathroom. âWelcome home Momma and Daddyâ, Natasha said with a cheerful and innocent voice. They had been gone for 5 hours so that might have been a thousand years to her. Natasha ran to my father wanting a hug or even a kiss on the forehead, but he just patted her head and said thank you in a monotone tired voice. He looked at me and said âNia, did you clean up while we were goneâ?
âYes sir, Iâm still cleaning me and Natashaâ. His eyes and facial expression looked confused. Why and how are you still cleaning up? We left 5 hours ago the house should be clean. And Natasha is five why is she cleaning anything she can barely clean herselfâ. My mother opened the bathroom door and stood between us. She looked at my father like âyouâre doing too much and check yourselfâ. She dare not to say it. She never wanted to emasculate my father in front of us, but her giving him a âdonât start no shit wonât be no shit glareâ shut him up. âNiaâ, she said âthank you for trying to help. Iâll clean the rest loveâ. I sighed and hung my head down and said âOk, mommaâ. She grabbed the broom that was still pressed on the wall and swept up the remaining crumbs that were on the ground. My father was furious.
He didnât like how my mother covered for me and how she loved me. He looked at me and barked âGo in your room and go to sleepâ. My mother looked at him and said âshe didnât eat yet. How is she going to go to bed without eatingâ? âHer ass donât need to eat. You see how fat sheâs getting? She can stand to not eat dinner tonight.â He sneered as he looked at me in disgust. I whimpered and cried as I walked to the room me and my little sister share. Shutting the door behind me and crawling into my bed to cry. Why did my father hate me? Was it because I wasnât the boy he wanted? Is it my complexion? I wasnât that fat, just chubby because of puberty, as momma would say. What was wrong with me? Nothing I did was right.

Roswell NM 3x11 Thoughts (I have a lot of thoughts!!!)
Contrary to popular opinion I really liked this episode. Yes, the science was so made up it was funny, yes certain character choices are hilariously silly, yes there was a lot of scenes filled with exposition dump, yes characters disappearing for episodes not to be mentioned as if they donât exist is jarring & annoying, and omg yes, the Wyatt arc (if you can call it that) fell flat and was a complete waste of valuable screen time. So yes, I agree with most everyoneâs assessment. That said still a very enjoyable and entertaining episode setting up the final concluding 2 hours of the season. Letâs get into it.
Jones is highly entertaining, overly good looking, and sometimes hilarious villain. Nathan shines bringing charm and depth to the role. Its important to note that Jones hasnât caused any lasting damage to the group. Sure, he has tried to kill various members, heâs responsible for putting Maria in a coma & has kidnapped half the cast basically, kept our heroes busy all season. But when it comes to killing or destruction itâs really been focused on the dregs or racist folks of the town, the poor scientist in Santa Fe (I think it was Santa Fe) & the lady at the university last week. No one of any real consequence to our heroes. Now I have no idea if Mariaâs vision arc has concluded because it hasnât been mentioned in forever, but Iâm assuming that there will be a major death by season end. Noah killed Rosa and the 2 other girls, abused Isobel for 10 years and destroyed the lives of all the mains. For Jones to be a real big bad thereâs got to be some long-lasting consequences to one or more of our mains. Though Iâm going into the final 2 episodes with excitement there is some concern. I donât think any of the mains will perish but I do worry about Sanders and even Heath. (Iâm really worried about Sanders yâall especially after that promo!!!)
Jones negotiation with Liz was bizarre. Why negotiate at all? Wouldnât he just threaten to kill or maim peopleâŠwhat the heck is Lizâs bargaining chip against an all-powerful, evil dictator? If she doesnât do what he wants he can just start killing folks she loves. It really is that easy. I get the whole creativity inspiration thing but fear for those you love is a great motivator. I was so amused that after hours of discussion Liz pulls out the big guns⊠free the sheriff. Was that her wild card? Really Liz? She may be a kick-ass scientist with a boatload of courage and sass, but I wouldnât have her negotiating any of my needs anytime soon.
Isobel and Rosa scenes continue to delight. I think itâs clear Rosa wonât be in Season 4 much. As much as I will miss her, Iâm glad that she will find some peace and joy at art school, she deserves it. Unlike Wyatt who does not deserve any tranquility because his redemption (if you can call it that) was not earned. Instead, his memories were wiped along with it any true feelings of guilt and remorse. How can we believe he has truly changed? What happens if his memories return? So silly and completely wasteful screen time (no offense to the actor who is quite good and likable).
The Dallas and Max scenes were wonderful. Donât get me wrong I prefer the show not tell method. And Dallas conveniently having the entire Oasis history in a memory from his father then regurgitating those memories to Max (and the audience) was not the best way to convey the story. However, the actor who plays Dallas is ridiculously charismatic and I could listen to him recite the phone book (do those still exist?) and be entertained. Plus, for one moment I truly believe that Dallas had gotten through to the constantly self-sacrificing, martyr that is Max Evans. But as the promo for finale proves with Max asking Michael (why Michael?) to kill him, the words didnât stick. Oh MaxâŠ
Speaking of, I truly feel so bad for Max. Heâs had it rough. In a span of couple weeks, heâs been told he is a clone of an evil dictator, he isnât the Savior but in fact a weapon to bring down the real Savior who also isnât really a savior but a genocidal maniac (Michaelâs words not mine) who slaughtered half his planet. Not to mention the âthere has to be 3â doesnât include him, as he isnât part of the triad. And that because he is a clone, he doesnât actually have biological parents or siblings or anything, well Michael, by DNA sort of, maybe? Oh, and he is the only thing tethering the evil, psycho dictator to life. I meanâŠ
My hope for Season 4 is that Max gets to process everything he has learned about his existence. He hasnât expressed how he feels the entire season and he deserves to. I hope the writers donât have him get over it by seasonâs end with one scene or worse just sweep it under the rug. Like being a clone of an evil psycho, to be used as a weapon, without any real connection to Isobel and Michael? Thatâs got to have some lasting effectsâŠplease writers let me see it on my screen.
Speaking of show not telling, Michaelâs new powers. I not a fan of Michael telling us a story of how he used his mind control powers accidently when he was 18. Can we please see these scenes so we can feel the true emotional impact?
As for these powers, strap in, this is a doozy (and might be controversial). I, like Michael, feel that taking someoneâs free will, no matter who they are is not a good power to have; itâs not fun, itâs not cool. Michael is right thatâs some dark shit and a power that needs to be used very sparingly and with a ton of responsibility.
I loved the scene between Sanders and Michael, but I have a couple issues with some of the dialogue. Sanders is the only living person (other than Jones) that knew and loved Nora. Thus, he can speak about her with authority. He is also the only person who is any kind of real parent figure in Michaelâs. Thus, him saying Michael has no darkness can be believed. He knows Michael and he knows Nora. However, Sanders doesnât know what its like to have powers, especially an immense power such as mind control. Though I appreciate Sandersâ perspective (and agree with him about the purity of Michaelâs soul) I wasnât a big fan of him brushing away Michaelâs fears about having mind control powers and not wanting to use them. Yes, itâs important for Michael to recognize just because he has Jonesâ power doesnât mean he is or will ever become Jones. Itâs not the powers that make a person. But the line about Nora not fearing her powers was not helpful. Noraâs powers were telekinesis, engineering (if genius is a power) and possibly miraculous crop growth. None of these powers take away a personâs ability to control their actions (well telekinesis to a certain point but in nowhere near actual mind control). So of course, Nora didnât fear her powers.
I wish someone had validated Michaelâs fears instead of brushing them away with a few words of you have no darkness or in Isobelâs case you arenât like Jones/Noah. A person does not have to be evil or bad to misuse a power like mind control & for that misuse to have dire consequences. Can you imagine being able to make people do what you want them to do at any time? Even if your intent is to do good, it doesnât mean itâs something that should be done or wonât have major consequences. Sort of like the ends justify means conversation between Jones and Liz. What is the line, do you recognize it and whatâs to stop a person from inches towards the line and what happens if you cross it?
So, my wish for next season is for Michael like Max is given time to process what he has learned about himself and his powers. My wish is for Michael is to continue to struggle with when, how and if he should use the mind control power. That way even when faced with a racist sheriff that is holding a gun to his friends, he is careful, asks for consent and never takes advantage of this tremendous power. In addition, I do think it would be very interesting to continue to explore these powers and how they maybe could change a person? Take Maxâs power to give and take away life force. He killed Noah and used that life force (and his own) to bring Rosa to back to life. Seems like a good exchange but ethically and morally having a person decide who lives or dies? And how would this all fit into religion with Dallas being a priest? These could make for some great conversations and strong character development. Fingers crossed we see some of it and not just get told in passing.
The music in the episode was amazing. The beginning with Nothing Else Matters and Jones is a tux⊠I mean⊠Also, the ending with the fight sequence, building the suspense, only for the reveal to be that Jones had wanted them all to come so he could trap Liz, Dallas, and Max along with Isobel and Michael (for extra leverage) in his mind. Iâm confused about why everyone was sitting but Michael was standing? Is he able to move or is he able to resist his fatherâs mind control? Iâm really looking forward to next week and for Team Human to come to the rescue (maybe).
Favorite lines of the episode:
Sanders to Michael: âYou are just a pair of sad puppy dog eyes and a cowboy hatâ
Jones to Team Alien & Liz: âWell, everyone seems a little tenseâ (LOL I love Jones!)
Dallas (or Isobel) writing on the wall to Jones: âKNOCK, KNOCKâ

Hi! If youâre still doing prompts, can you do 49. âWho hurt you?â Or 53. âWho cares about what they think?â + stevebucky?
Anon, I wanted to do both, but I only managed one this time :/ Maybe the second one would be a fluffier Part 2 to this piece in the future. If that happens, I'd rb this with the link (From this list:Â âWho hurt you?â)
-//-
Thereâs a boy in his class heâd never seen before.Â
Stick-like with dishwater hair and a beak for a nose. He walks around like heâs got the entire world on his bony shoulders; head down, eyes on the floor and he makes sure heâs one with the wall all the time.
Bucky knows itâs not his business, but he knows what a fist to the face tastes like on the tongue, so he makes it his, anyway.
Two weeks into the term, he catches the boy out of the school gate and asks, âAre you new here?â
The boy startles and looks up and - My god! Bucky thinks.Â
Heâs got the prettiest pair of blue for his eyes and if Bucky had been thirteen, crushing on a boy for the first time, he would have freaked out.Â
As it is, heâs 17 and been out for a year now. So he shakes the awe out of his fluttering lashes and puts on his best smile. âHello, Iâm Bucky Barnes,â he says. Hands held out for an offer to shake.
But the boy looks at him then his hand and he looks up again and he mutters, âKeep away from me.â
Bucky has faced rejection a billion times, heâs not a stranger to being shunned because of his sexual preference, but hell. This wasnât even a come on. He was just introducing himself. And the response he got to that just pisses him off - beautiful boy or not.
âShit dude, who hurt you,â he scowls. âHere I am offering friendship cause you look like you could use one and - you know what. Fuck you, man. You wanna be alone? Hell if I care.âÂ
Should have stayed in his lane. Should not have made this boy his business. Should have known he was just like the rest of them jerks.
Except he looks like heâd sucked on a sour candy upon hearing Buckyâs words and he stutters out a soft sorry. âI thought you - you were gonna jump me.â
âWell, I wasnât, all right,â Bucky sighs, raking his fingers through his hair and itâs kind of awkward.Â
But he walks home that day with the boyâs name fresh on his lips and his hand still warm from a shake.
-
Steve Rogers is turning 18 in three months against all odds. Ma seems to tear up more and more leading his birthday and he cannot blame her for that. Sheâs emotional, and if he wasnât so hopeless himself, perhaps heâd feel the same.
Living with Cystic Fibrosis sent him to deathbed more than once. Heâd greeted the reaper, kissed its hand but every time they thought this was it; he was pulled back to earth once again.
He doesnât hate life, he just thinks heâs been fated to death since the day he was born.
So he keeps to himself; doesnât make any connections he cannot afford to sever and kisses Sarah Rogers goodnight before bed like itâs their last goodbye.
But heâs turning 18 in three months and maybe that gives him some hope because he accidentally lets a boy in too deep into his heart.
-
When Bucky first finds out about Steveâs⊠condition, itâs been three weeks into their friendship, and theyâre in a coffee shop sharing a bagel sandwich after their last class for the day.
Heâd said something funny and Steve had broken into peals of laughter, grabbing his chest and wheezing from uncontainable joy and for a moment, it was the most beautiful thing Bucky had ever seen.Â
And then it was the worst.
He saw Steve collapse right in front of him and ten other people; saw someone call for an ambulance, one of the staff yelled at Bucky about something but he couldnât hear it. Couldnât compute anything at all.
He froze where he stood; watching Steve die before him.
The paramedics arrived, someone pointed at him, one of the paramedics asked him if he was a friend; he said, yes.
She asked, âCan you tell me what happened?âÂ
He stuttered, âNo. I - He. Heâs my friend. But I donât know what just happened to him. Is he - Is he going to be okay?â
Sheâd looked at him, first disappointed then sad. She said, âYour friendâs going to be okay. If you want, you can ride along with us.âÂ
She probably thought Bucky was a bad friend, but she never said that. She showed him the band around Steveâs wrist - which heâd never seen Steve took off, much less asked what it meant; just assumed it was important and left it at that - and told him what it means.
She flipped Steveâs wallet open, pulled out a card and gave it Bucky. âYouâre lucky we know him,â she said.Â
âStevieâs a good boy. But heâs very shy, and heâs always kept to himself so, itâs very nice to know heâs been going around making friends.â
Two hours later, heâs still sitting in the waiting room with his hands clasped in front of him, watching two ants carry a bread crumb across the tile between his feet.Â
Someone sits next to him; a nurse under her unzipped hoodie sheâs got on and when he looks up, she smiles at him.
âI heard youâre Steveâs friend.â
Buckyâs been so tensed for a long time that he chokes on his spit when he opens his mouth. She waits patiently for his cough to subside. Once he can, Bucky rubs his hands over his pants and says, âSorry. Yeah. I - Iâm his friend.â Then he panics, âThey said heâs all right and told me to wait here. Is he - Is everything -,â
âHave you had anything to eat yet?â She interrupts him, âOr drink maybe?â
He looks at her then; really looks at her, and he shakes his head. Something about her is too familiar so when she says, âCome,â he went with her.
She brings him to the canteen and buys him a sandwich and bottled water. âEat,â she says. âIf youâre gonna stick around, then youâll need the energy.â
And thatâs how Bucky met Sarah Rogers.
-
Steve is tired most of the time, but when he isnât, heâs the brightest ball of sunshine.Â
His joy made Bucky bloom like Cherry Blossom in Spring. Every single smile and laughter; if Bucky could collect them all in a cup and drink, he would. But even then, he doesnât think heâd get enough of it.
He loves him.
First as a friend, then as a boy whoâd like to possess Steve; keep him to himself; all that smile and happiness, just for Bucky and only Bucky and he would never let anyone take his Stevie from him.
But then, something happens.
He gets invited to Steveâs little birthday party, and he claps as Steve blows out the candles. Hoots the loudest, laughs with Steveâs mom and then at one point, heâs sitting by her side pulling tissues for her to wipe her tears.
The room down the hallway got its door locked with Steve inside it.Â
âSorry,â Mrs Rogers sniffles. Itâs the fifth time sheâd said it and Bucky has had enough.Â
âSeriously,â he tells her. âStop worrying about it, Mrs Rogers.â
She laughs while a tear runs down her cheek at the same time. âOh, God,â she sobs. âYou shouldnât be seeing this - Nobody, should be seeing this.â
Bucky keeps his mouth shut and hands over another ply.Â
Later that night, lying in his bed in the dark, Bucky thinks about what had happened. About Mrs Rogers kiss to Steveâs forehead, and her harmless words; âYouâre growing into a handsome man, darling. Someday, somewhere, youâre gonna break someoneâs heart.â
She wasnât wrong. Hell, Bucky sat there thinking: heâs already breaking mine, Mrs Roger.
But that wasnât what Steve thought. Whatever he did, it made him very angry. âStop putting your hopes in me,â he snapped.
His poor ma, stunned, asked, âWhat?â
âYour hopes, ma,â Steve hissed. âYou know none of that would happen. I wonât make it out of school -,â
And right then was when Bucky saw a mother break her own heart.Â
Her hand came in a flash, connecting sharp against Steveâs face; the loud slap echoed and the second she realised what she had done, Sarah Rogers cupped her mouth with that same hand - shaking -, her eyes wide in horror and her heart -
Hours later, Bucky could still hear it shatter into a million pieces. He realises too, they never did cut the cake tonight.
-
The next day, he doesnât see Steve in school. He calls his phone, and calls Mrs Rogers when he doesnât pick up. Her line goes dead too.Â
She texts later. Saying Steveâs in the hospital again.Â
Is he going to be okay? - Bucky writes her.
Ten minutes later, his phone flashes with; I donât know.
-
Heâs not okay.Â
Theyâve got tubes stuffed down his windpipe, bags of fluids going into his veins and heâs looking bloated in the face.
The doctors keep hushing to Mrs Rogers. They tell her things Bucky doesn't understand; big words, complicated medical stuff and Buckyâs not so smart in the brain. He gets by with B in science at the very best. So he fills the chair by Stevieâs side and holds his hand instead.
When Buckyâs ma was around, she used to take him and his sister to Sunday church. She bought for them a bible each and knitted covers out of wool; one blue, one pink for Bucky and his sister, respectively.
After she passed, Bucky gave up faith and his belief. Heâs stopped praying at all.
But right now, with the sound of Stevieâs heart echoing in beeps around them, he holds his hand and whispers what he remembers.
-
âHe needs a new set of lungs,â Mrs Rogers says.Â
Seeing her in the hospital without her uniform on is very jarring. Bucky stares at her fingers curled around a paper cup holding coffee like they held all the answers.Â
They told themselves that the chairs in Steveâs room got too hard for their spine, so theyâre in the canteen for better cushioning.Â
Truth is, they couldnât take the silence in there anymore. So theyâre out here drowning their sorrow in the most crowded place in the hospital.
âYou know, Iâm very glad that he met you.âÂ
Bucky looks up from her hand and meets her watery smile. She sniffles, âHe knew he didnât have a long time. So he walked alone. Never made any friends. I have the suspicion that he hates saying goodbye.â
Buckyâs throat aches so he swallows it down. Sarah Rogers lays her hand over Buckyâs and squeezes.Â
âThank you,â she tells him. âFor choosing my son.â
He knows then that she sees right through him.Â
âI love him,â he tells her truthfully; his heart too swollen with Steve to hide no longer.Â
She gives him another watery smile and pats his hand two short times, âI know.â
Bucky swallows the lump in his throat and says, âI never told him that.â
-
If; Bucky thinks.
If he could go back in time, heâd like to go back to the first day he met Steve and ask, âWould you go out on a date with me,â instead of offering friendship.Â
Or the first time he walked Steve out of the discharge suit so he could catch his frail hand, then his blue eyes and say, âBe my boyfriend Steve Rogers.â
Maybe a week before Steveâs birthday, when they were sitting in the park, with the late summer breeze caressing their skin and Steve had held his lips pressed the entire time.
Theyâd only known each other for two-and-a-half months then, but Bucky felt like heâd known Steve his entire lifetime. And he could tell that Steve was upset that evening.
Heâd gotten off the phone with his mum that afternoon and back then Bucky didnât know, but now, he could guess it was probably Mrs Rogers mentioning throwing him a birthday party.Â
If Bucky could go back to that evening, he wouldnât just stop at making jokes for Steve to laugh at. He would take his hand in his and press his mouth to Steveâs cheek. Heâd like to tell him, âYouâre beautifulâ and that, âYou take my breath away, Stevie.â
Heâd like to tell him in detail just how deeply he was in love with Steve. With the sound of birds chirping overhead and water lapping in the lake, he would like to have kissed the sorrow out of Steveâs lips.Â
But time travel is a fairy dream, and as it is for Bucky; heâs just another boy whoâd missed his chance.
So he takes what he could get; he hoards minutes he could get with Stevie and treasures them dearly. Especially those without Sarah Rogers hovering by.
He tells him what he thinks; the weather, the new pair of shoes his nurse is wearing today, the little boy with a broken nose that reminded him of Steve and a helluva lot of âI wishâ-es.Â
He tells him: âYou taught me how to love selflessly.â Tells him: âI would have given anything to have you beside me, but now I just want you to stop hurting.â

Warmth
18 yr old Aang x Female reader
Genre: FLUFF
Word count: 2417
Warnings: mentions of death
Dialogue like this: âhelloâ is speech
Dialogue like this: âhelloâ is sign
Y/n was quiet.
Her voice was, but her mind wasnât.
She was always thinking about something interesting. Science, history, agriculture, bending forms, legends, she knew about them all. But she never spoke of them.
She could physically speak, but mentally couldnât. When a fire nation soldier almost ended her life, she couldnât call for help. Thatâs how it all started.
She carried around paper, pens, and ink so she could communicate with people in the small fire nation village.
Despite being an earthbender, after the incident, she ran away. She ran until she found herself in a foreign village. Thankfully, a kind woman who owned an orphanage welcomed her with open arms and an understanding mind.
Y/n walked cautiously and blended in. She survived. She was pushing through, just letting the days pass in a haze.
She always felt like she was a puzzle that was missing a piece. For most of her life, she assumed it was her parents. While she had people who cared about her, it was never a parentâs love. Never love for her real self, never love just for her.
She gave up on it. When she turned 13 and the 100 year war ended, she decided that she would push her feelings away and travel.
After three long weeks of walking, you finally reached a stopping point. A beautiful little town was your stopping point, for now of course.
Using your bending, you made a little tent out of earth to sleep in. Next, you put all of your things in the tent and made a stone door so nobody could steal anything. You made your way to the small village that was a little ways away from camp to get some dinner from the market.
You admired the quant place, scanning your eyes around until you saw a fruit stand.
You gently walked over and looked at what was on sale. You picked out an apple, a pear, and some cherries.
âThatâll be four pieces.â The man behind the counter said, smiling.
Your face dropped. You left the money in your bag. You held up a finger, signaling him to wait a second.
âEverything okay, maâam?â He asked.
You shook your head no, pulling your empty pockets out, showing you didnât have money.
âOh, Iâm sorry, I canât give it to you for free, my father would kill me.â He said with a frown.
âI got it!â A new voice said.
You and the fruit stand guy turned your heads to see the new person.
He was tall, probably around your age, wearing a hood covering most of his face, and had pale skin.
He dropped the four pieces into the stand guyâs hand and scooped up the fruit.
You put your hand to your chin and then move it down in front of you, signing a thank you.
âYouâre welcome.â He said, easily understanding you.
You motioned your hand for him to follow you, and he did, carrying the fruit.
He followed you all the way to your little makeshift campsite.
âHey, are you an earthbender?â He asked.
You nodded, gently taking the fruit from him and setting it down. You bent the tent door thing open and grab your bag, pulling out four coins. You held your hand out to give them to the boy. He just shook his head.
âItâs on me.â He said kindly.
You thanked him again, and offered him a cherry. He picked it up and smiled, putting it in his mouth as you put one in yours.
You grabbed your writing supplies and started to write.
While you did that, the boy earthbended a little seat for him to sit on, in front of the fire you hadnât made yet.
Hi! My name is y/n. I donât speak. Thank you for paying for me.
You handed him the paper and he read it. âNice to meet you, y/n! My name is Aang. Youâre very welcome. When traveling, you can rely on the kindness of strangers.â
Maybe when youâre the avatar.
You wrote down, jokingly of course, with a smile.
He laughed and pulled his hood away from his face, feeling comfortable around you. âThat is true.â
You grinned at him, tossing him another cherry.
âWant me to start that fire for you?â He asked.
You nodded, glad you wouldnât have to figure out how to light it yourself.
He quickly sent a little flame into the wood, which lit up.
You signed thank you, again.
âI can read sign, you know.â He said.
You smiled.
âThank goodness.â
He smiled at you. âSo, what has got you traveling?â He asked.
âNeeded to get away. Lived in an orphanage. Need to find myself.â You signed.
He nodded. âI understand needing to get away.â
âIs that why you travel?â
âYeah.â
âWhat happened?â
He looked hurt by the question. You quickly shook your hands, signaling him never mind.
âItâs okay. I broke up with Katara.â He frowned.
âYou defeated firelord with her, right?â
He nodded. âI dunno. I thought she was the one.â
âIâm sorry, Aang.â You signed.
âItâs all right. I needed to get away too. And find myself, as well. I didnât realize that until you mentioned it. She was a part of me.â
You nodded in understanding.
âSo, enough about me and my sad stuff,â he said, brushing off the subject, âwhy are you looking for yourself?â
âSad stuff.â You signed, making both of you laugh. It ended up turning a little serious, though.
âThatâs why you donât talk too?â
You nodded.
âIâm sorry for whatever happened. We are in an era of peace now. It will get better.â
âThank you for that, by the way.â
âMy pleasure!â He laughed a little.
âSoooo, how old are you?â You signed, trying to get to really know this famous kid.
âEighteen. Well, one hundred and eighteen technically.â He laughed, âyou?â
â18 as well.â You smiled.
âDo you know where youâre going?â Aang asked you.
âNo.â
âMe either. Wanna travel with me?â He asked. âI kinda need a friend right now.â
âYes!â You signed excitedly. âYouâre my first friend.â
âWell y/n, Iâm honored to have that title.â He said with a smile.
The two of you traveled high and low. He wore a hood because he was tired of constantly getting recognized. He enjoyed seeing everyone he met, but he just wanted to be a normal teenager for a while. It was about a month after you two met when:
âAang,â you signed, tapping his shoulder.
He turned around and raised his eyebrows. His greyish eyes met yours kindly.
âYes?â
âCold.â You signed.
He nodded and bent a little fire in his hands, warming them. He then took yours and held them in between his.
You smiled and looked at him thankfully, mouthing the words thank you to him.
He smiled. That was the closest you had gotten to talking to him.
âHow about we stop for the evening?â Aang asked. You nodded.
The two of you made yourselves your tents of earth, and you set up a little fire pit. It was cold; the two of you were traveling to the South Pole to see his friend Sokka. He said any friend of his was a friend of yours, and how you needed to meet them.
After eating a small dinner, the two of you said good night to each other and went to your tents.
You curled up on the ground in your sleeping bag, closing your eyes.
A few hours later, your eyes snapped open from a nightmare. You sat up, rubbing your eyes.
You sighed, bending open the tent door. A cold air whooshed in, chilling you to the bone. You glanced at the fire pit, which was barely smoldering any more.
You reluctantly stood up, wrapping your arms around yourself, and made your way over to Aangâs tent.
You knocked on the rock, hoping it would wake him.
It did not.
You sighed, deciding to open his door.
Inside, you saw him curled up in his sleeping bag.
You tapped his leg, hoping that THAT would wake him, but no.
That boy was a heavy sleeper.
You sighed, and decided to do something you never did.
âAang?â You whispered. âAang.â You whispered, more forcefully, shaking him a little.
His eyes snapped open, and he sat up abruptly. âY/n, are you all right?â He asked, worried.
You nodded, signing, âcold.â
âHere, come on in.â Aang said, bending the tent to be a little bit bigger, scooting to the side so thereâd be more room.
You stepped in, and sat down next to him. He closed the door and made a little fire in his hands, illuminating the dark little tent.
You both looked at the flame, then at each other.
Aang looked back down and passed the flame to one hand, bending water from the air with the other.
He put the two together, making a âtsssssssssâ noise, making steam.
Warm steam.
You smiled, inhaling the warmth.
âNow, sleep? Weâve got a long day tomorrow.â Aang said after a minute.
You opened your eyes and looked at the boy holding a flame so you could see each other. You nodded and smiled at him, and he smiled back.
âSleep next to me, weâll both be warmer.â He said tiredly, patting the area beside him.
You nodded and lay next to him.
In the morning, the two of you woke up, arms and legs tangled together.
You never knew how much you loved affection until that day. You just never had it, and you didnât know what you were missing until then.
âGood morning, y/n.â Aang said tiredly.
âGood morning, Aang.â You said back.
He sighed, then opened his eyes in realization.
âY-you, you said something!â He gasped. He really loved the sound of your voice, he wanted to hear it more.
âI did,â you murmured, looking at him.
He beamed and hugged you tight, feeling pride and lucky that he was the first to hear what you sounded like. He felt special. It made him tear up a little.
âI love your voice.â He said.
âI love yours too.â You replied quietly, still not having found your voice quite yet.
It was weird for you, speaking was. But it made Aang so happy, and it made communication easier, so you stuck with it, even though it was still mixed with sign, and took some getting used to.
âWeâre almost there.â Aang commented.
âItâs getting dark though.â You said.
Aang nodded, making a flame in his hands. It emitted light, but not quite enough.
He sighed, âWhereâs Appa when you need him!â
âAppa?â You asked.
He nodded. âMy flying bison.â
Your jaw dropped, you had never seen one before. To be fair, you hadnât really seen much at all, but you knew Appa was a rarity.
âI canât wait to meet him.â You whispered.
âHeâs gonna love you!â Aang grinned, throwing an arm around your shoulder.
He discovered you loved being touched, so he decided when he could, heâd be close to you and physical, whether it was bumping shoulders, leaning on each other, or sharing warmth from his hands. He really liked making you happy. In fact, he hadnât even thought about Katara since he started traveling with you.
While he loved his friends dearly, you were the breath of fresh air that he needed.
âCamp?â You asked Aang.
âYeah.â He said, setting his bag down. You set yours next to him, and you made the tent for the night. It wasnât so big you couldnât feel the heat, but it wasnât super cramped either.
The two of you walked in and sat down. You eagerly held out your hands, dying to feel warmth from Aang.
He closed his eyes and breathed out of his nose, steaming up the tent. He then reached out and took your hands in his and warmed them.
You smiled at the feeling, both of the warmth and his hands.
âLetâs put our sleeping bags together tonight, what do you think?â You asked Aang.
He nodded. âGood by me.â
The two of you got situated, facing each other. You decided to take another risk. You cuddled into him, moving your arms around his waist and pulling him closer.
It surprised him a little, but he certainly didnât mind. He pulled you closer, and you put your head on his chest, his rested on yours.
You sighed, smiling a little bit. âYour heartâs racing.â
âSoâs yours.â Aang commented back, making you laugh a little.
You gently drew circles onto his back under his shirt with your now warm hands. He closed his eyes happily.
âHey, what happened here?â You asked, feeling a scar.
âLighting. From Azula.â He murmurs.
âThe princess?â
âMhm.â
âIâm sorry.â You said.
âDonât be. I survived.â He smiled a little bit.
You looked up at him, making him glance down at you to see what you were doing.
âI like your eyes.â He says absentmindedly.
âThank you,â You laughed. âI like your tattoos.â
He laughed a little too, then went back to the moment.
He gently put his hand on your cheek, making you close your eyes.
Now it was his turn to take a risk.
He moved down and gently kissed you.
You slowly opened your eyes with a smile on your face, only to see a bald blushing teenager.
âIâm sorry, I-â
You cut him off with another soft kiss.
âI really like you.â He finished his sentence.
âI really like you too.â You said back.
He smiled and hugged you tighter, closer to him.
The only thoughts going through Aangâs mind were how lucky he was that you were his. How he thought he had his life figured out, but when it turned upside down, he realized something. Maybe it wasnât right side up to begin with. You stabilized him, and gave him the love that he lost over one hundred years ago. That hurt spot in his heart, not from the lightning, but from losing his people, almost went away when he was with you. Especially when you were in his arms and when your lips were on his.
That was a feeling he never wanted to let go of.
You were a puzzle.
You found the missing piece.
The feelings you pushed away came rushing in.
You felt happy.
You felt special.
You felt loved.
You were happy.
You were special.
You were loved.

Regarding the ficlet ideas :)
You don't have to do all or even any of these, these are just the things that popped into my head when I was scrolling through! Also if you want to write them romantically you do it, we love and support youuu!!!
Fluff: 7 (Mary and Robin, probably platonic) & 10 (Mary and Kitty, also probably platonic)
General: 18 (Julian and literally anyone, it'll be hilarious)
And General 45. With Alison and Cap (and maybe all the other ghosts) becuase I feel you'd write it really sweetly and honestly it's a scene I'd really like to see
Alison & Captain General #45: âAre you afraid to die?â
So thereâs still one more prompt from this person (the Julian one) but Iâm combining it with other ideas so expect that soon!! The others have also been done here:
Fluff #7
Fluff #10
But yeah,, this got no interaction at all on AO3 but thatâs okay cause I actually really enjoyed writing this one there are some good lines I think. Let me know what you think either here on on AO3 I donât mind. (Also there is a Doctor Who reference in here but I canât remember which episode itâs from so if yall find it let me know XD)
TW:// in depth discussions of death.
The dark ceiling of Alisonâs bedroom swirled in front of her as she listened to the soft rumbling of her husbandâs snores beside her. The glowing red lights of her alarm clock served as a warning to her impending sleepless night: 2:15am.
Worries of life and family and the hotel and the unusual presence of 20 odd dead people inhabiting her home raced through her head as she begged for some kind of distraction from her thoughts. She tried not to set too many rules for the ghosts: whenever she did, they would work even harder to break every written order she laid down - and also every unwritten rule that common sense laid down. But one rule Alison was strict on was their nighttime curfew: do what you want around the house (as long as it doesnât make too much noise, mess or irritance) but do not, under any circumstance, enter the master bedroom.
Sheâd originally given them the usual âonly in emergenciesâ protocol but, after Robin had scared Alison out of bed at 4am having deemed a fat ginger cat on the front lawn an emergency, this had quickly been scrapped. But watching the dust flow through beams of moonlight while contemplating every life decision sheâd ever made, the prospect of some inconceivable disaster interrupting the ghostsâ eternal deaths was seeming ever more pleasurable.
Alison sighed and sat up to look over Mike deep in sleep, jealous of his peaceful snoring. She swung off the bed being careful not to jostle the sheets but flinched at the freezing floorboards touching her bare feet. She tiptoed slowly through the empty corridors occasionally stopping to listen at the doors of the ghostsâ bedrooms: quiet snoring from Patâs, mumbled sleep talking from Kittyâs, total silence on behalf of the others.
Every common room lay vacant, excluding Robin curled up in front of the dying fire, so Alison continued on to the kitchen - taking Nigelâs advice to fetch some milk when sheâs stressed.
Upon entering the kitchen, she was taken aback to find it was not as empty as the rest of the house would suggest. Leaning back against the far tiled wall with his eyes shut and head resting back on the cold surface, the Captain looked as if he could be asleep standing upright. His eyes snapped open and settled straight on Alison frozen in the doorway. He blinked slowly before darting towards the corner of the room in his usual long-legged, gangly run.
âCaptain?â Alison called as he turned away from her. âNo, no! Itâs alright!â
The Captain stopped. Still. Silent. In a moment of alarming quietness.
âSorry for disturbing you, Captain. Iâll only be a moment!â Alison said quietly, making her way over to the fridge. âGod, I hope Robin isnât in here.â She pulled open the door with great gusto, fleetingly thrilled by the presence of broccoli, strawberry yoghurt, and half a pasta bake rather than the shouting menace of a caveman.
She shut the door with the milk carton in hand and turned to find the Captain still facing the wall, breathing heavily in what appeared to be a WW2 remake of the Blair Witch Project.
âYou can just go back to⊠whatever you were doing, now,â Alison took a swig from the carton. âPlotting your latest hair-brained scheme to get rid of me?â
âNow, now, Alison,â the Captain said, turning back around to face her and swaying ever so slightly on his heels, stick gripped tight behind him. âIâm less inclined to dispose of you nowadays.â
âYeah?â Alison raised her eyebrows with a knowing glance and took another sip. âWell, I appreciate that, Cap.â
âHmm,â the Captain agreed.
âWhy are you awake then? Are you awake or do ghosts sleep upright against a wall? Is this some mechanic I donât know about? Do ghosts have to sleep?â Alison asked rapid fire.
âOf course we sleep! What did you think we do during the night?â The Captain pointed to Alisonâs milk and frowned. âYou shouldnât drink it like that. Thatâs how disease spreads.
âItâs only me that uses it, just donât tell Fanny, yeah?â
âMumâs the word,â he murmured.
Alison smiled. âSo why are you up, then? Shouldnât you be getting that beauty sleep?â
âSometimes itâs a little difficult to drift off, Iâm sure you understand that being awake at this hour too.â
âOh yeah,â Alison said quietly. She lifted her carton up in a small gesture of cheers and made a move to leave. âWell, got my milk. I guess⊠Iâll just head back to bed then. Good night, Captain.â She had barely made it out of the door before the Captain spoke up once more.
âYou could stay for a while,â the Captain said. âIf you wanted to. I mean, if you didnât want to just lay in bed gazing at the ceiling.â
âIâd like that,â Alison pulled out the chair closest, scraping the legs across the tiled floor and interrupting the silence of the house. She left the chair open for the Captain and moved to sit opposite him, settling into the quiet comfort.
âIsnât it weird to think the dead sleep?â Alison commented. âDoesnât seem right, does it? Cause sleeping is a bit like being dead only without the commitment so itâs like youâre kind of double dead.â
âDeath is nothing like sleeping, Alison. Donât talk to me about death if you donât understand it.â The Captain sniffed at her and leant back in his chair maintaining his usual stoic exterior.
âSorry,â Alison said. âI didnât mean-,â
âItâs fine,â the Captain said quickly. The pair fell back into silence, they had never exactly been the closest of friends and Alison certainly wouldnât describe him as her best (undead) friend but they were friend-ly, for sure. Certainly more now that heâd ceased trying to drive her from the house at every opportunity that presented itself. Then again, death does strange things to people, Alison thought, her friends had proved that much. They showed little regard for the lives of the living, thinking very much of themselves and the Captain was surely the embodiment of that.
âItâs not awful, as such,â the Captain interrupted the quiet. Alison looked up from the table to find him watching her intently. âDeath. Itâs not as terrible as you might think. I know thatâs what you were going to ask.â
âOh,â Alison said. âI wasnât- I wasnât actually going to say anything.â
âI know. But you were thinking it.â The Captain said. âYouâre in a rather unique position, Alison, I must say. Not many people can say they have a good understanding of death before it happens, but you know more than most.â
âI still donât really get it, though,â Alison admitted drawing lines across the table with her fingers.
âIf Iâm telling the truth, neither do I,â the Captain confessed. âI donât remember it too well. It was like- like falling asleep and then immediately waking up again. You know that plummeting feeling  that happens right as youâre about to drop into sleep, like everything is calm and then suddenly youâre losing grip of reality, and then youâre wide awake again.â
âA hypnic jerk,â Alison quipped.
âSorry?â He asked.
âThatâs what itâs called, that falling thing. A hypnic jerk.â Alison said. âWe did it in science class, I think. Your body thinks itâs dying so it does the jerk to make sure that youâre still alive. Makes sense thatâs what dying feels like, I guess.â
âAre you afraid to die, Alison?â The question took Alison by surprise, it was unlike the Captain to be open about his emotions and even more unlikely for him to ask about othersâ feelings.
âIf I have to stay with this rowdy lot for eternity, then yes definitely,â Alison joked with a small laugh.
The Captain smiled and hummed in agreement: âOh Iâm sure Iâd have agreed if given the choice before death. Not exactly the most peaceful post-death existence.â
âIâm a little bit scared,â Alison admitted.
âYou shouldnât be too worried, itâs not all that bad,â the Captain said with a shrug.
âYeah, because you seem to be having a blast with your afterlife, Cap. Happy as Larry,â Alison said sarcastically, she threw the now-empty carton into the bin beside her and settled back towards the table, leaning forward closer to the Captain - their faces barely inches apart.
The Captain paused, his eyes boring into Alisonâs sleepy face before he leant forward to match her and whisper in secret confidence.
âIt is rather bad,â he reneged. âYou should fear it, well done for being scared.â Alison chuckled. âWell thanks, Cap! I feel so much better now!â
âNow, you know thatâs not what I mean,â the Captain said slowly, unsure of where he was going next. âAs long as you die here, you have no reason to be afraid. Weâll care for you in death as you have for us in life. Be sure, Alison, weâll teach you all we know.â
âYou know, Julian has told me the âteachingsâ you gave him when he died,â Alison chuckled.
âSomebody needed to give that scoundrel a good telling off; heaven knows no one in life ever did. Julian died much as he lived: with an air of superiority.â The Captain coughed and smirked across at Alison. âHe waltzed in here as if he owned the place, demanding authority and respect and, as far as Iâm concerned, those are qualities that are earned.â
âLike you?â Alison said pointedly.
âIâm sorry?â
âDid you earn the authority you have over the others?â
âThat is beyond the point.â The Captain stated. âYouâre rather lucky, Alison! Youâve met a somewhat tempered version of Julian, heâs actually rather bearable these days, likeable sometimes, you wouldnât believe him in the early days.â
âOh I can only imagine! And Iâm better then, I assume? Seeing as Iâm deemed worthy of your afterlife teachings?â Alison laughed.
âIndeed,â the Captain said.
âWere you afraid?â Alison asked. âOf death, I mean? Obviously like, before it happened.â
âNo,â the Captain shrugged, finally heeling away from Alison and breaking their close eye contact. âA soldier is never afraid. When you enlist to serve for your country, you relinquish any right to fear your death. Service kills many who enter, you cannot fear the inevitable.â
âBut you didnât die in service?â
âI was a soldier. No matter if my demise happened during the war or 60 years later, I lived a soldier and I died a soldier.â The Captain said certainly. Whenever he spoke of his time in the military he straightened right up and masked any kind of emotion he had allowed to trickle through.
âNow that youâre not a soldier then, are you afraid of⊠you know, moving on?â
âOf being sucked off?â The Captain clarified.
âI refuse to say that,â Alison shook her head. âAnd frankly itâs cruel that Julian has kept this joke up. But are you scared?â
âI am still a soldier, Alison. Iâll always be a soldier.â
âTime has moved on, no more fighting and no more soldiers but you know that, Captain.â
âDoesnât change anything. Time.â The Captain said, matter of fact. The darkness of the kitchen mostly shrouded his face but Alison could easily make out the outline of his sharp features and piercing eyes.
âTime changes everything.â She stated. âYou should know that better than most.â
âIâm a soldier.â He repeated, mumbling it under his breath like a reassuring mantra. âFor King and country.â
âQueen.â Alison corrected.
Allowing himself, for just a moment, to relinquish his solid, iron-clad grip on the past, the Captain softly whispered: âFor Queen and country.â

Headcanons for being Peter Parkerâs sister
Peter Parker x sister!reader
warnings:
a/n: this is LONG
prompt: @coffeeaff: âHc where y/n is Peter Parker's sister!â
letâs start this out by stating the obvious: you were Peterâs other half
ever since you were kids, itâs always been âPeter and Y/Nâ
sometimes youâd literally have to be pried apart bc you refused to leave each otherâs sides
may and ben went from zero kids to two in a day and had no idea where to go from there
especially when you and peter had nerf wars
âwhat are we gonna do, ben?â
*ben, cocking his nerf gun* âitâs nerf or nothing?â
once your aunt and uncle got the hang of things, you were all one big team
peter and you started growing up and going to school
it was new and scary for you
you came up with a secret way to say âi love youâ to each other bc you were afraid the 5 year olds would make fun of you
âthe lion says hiâ (you were 5 and you really liked the wizard of oz)
every year you got placed in the same elementary school classes, turning into some of the most delightful kids who kept to themselves most of the time and showed real promise
until one year they wanted to put you in separate classes to see how youâd do alone
you and peter simultaneously had tantrums until they called may and ben and calmed you down
âwhatâs that noise?â -teacher at least 35 doors down the hall
the school almost switched your class so youâd be together again, but ben decided that the two of you needed a little bit of space to grown on your own
which worked! now when you guys got home, youâd run to your shared room and tell each other all the third grade gossip
by the time you reached middle school, you were in half of each otherâs classes and most of the same clubs
by high school, peter was begging you to join band and the decathlon team
you canât tell me you guys didnât take the same foreign language class to talk to each other
âj'ai renversĂ© du chocolat chaud sur le canapĂ©â (I spilled hot chocolate on the couch)
âje vais retourner le coussinâ (iâll go flip the cushion)
now hereâs where things get interesting
you were the first to know about peterâs newfound powers
because you walked into your shared room while he was stuck to the ceiling
âhey, uh, i can explain in a minute, but can you maybe possibly help me down?â
it took you an hour
he fell on top of you
âsorry! sorry, sorry! iâm sorryâ
âstart talking, pleaseâ
peter explained that he had the powers for 2 weeks and he has gotten stuck to so many things
he was scared
âdonât tell anyone!â
âsince when have i been a snitch?â
you and him using your science brains to figure out how to deal with all of this
then ben died and everything wasnât so good for a while
youâd find each other crying alone a lot
then sitting together and crying
and comforting aunt may every chance you got
sometimes you and peter made cookies for her and now peter likes baking and cooking
peter decided to become âspider-manâ
which you werenât completely psyched over but you werenât totally against either
âpros: my brother is a super hero, cons: itâs dangerous and if i lose you, me and may will be very very sad. we already lost benâ
thrifting together
clothes and electronics
âdo we really have to go through the trash, too?â
âyes, y/n, there could be some really cool stuff here!â *peter holds up a mechanical keyboard* âscore!â
missing trains together
walking to school/home together
showing each other new music
walking into your apartment and finding tony freaking stark on your couch
sitting with may on the couch until tony calls you into the room
âso you helped create the webs for his suit?â
âi have no ideaââ
ây/n, he knowsâ
âyes, yes i didâ
getting to work as tonyâs engineer/scientist apprentice
ây/n, this is a little weapon that i am gifting you so that if peter ever does something stupid, you can lend a hand. that is all it is for, kapeesh?â
mr. stark this, mr. stark that
peterâs tired, bruised-ass self crawling through your bedroom window at 2am was actually pretty normal
you are his wingman
he had to copy your homework a lot
âyou owe meâ
you almost died on the washington d.c. field trip but you were the chillest person there bc you knew peter was nearby
âdude! why are you so calm?â -flash
(fast forward to infinity war)
âholy shit! weâre all gonna die!â -ned
you grabbed peterâs arm right before he left
âlion says hiâ you chuckled with fear in your eyes
âlion says hiâ he repeated, handing you his hoodie from out of his bag âif i lose this, may will freak. keep it safe.â
you and ned talking about spider business on the bus
âdo you still have that thing mr. stark gave you? the secret weapon?â
âyeah but itâs not much use right nowâ
you seeing a certain spider being lifted into space
calling the suit itself bc you have access to the comms
âpeter? peter, what the hell are you doing? come back!â you were staring out the bus window
*line disconnected*
you called pepper
âms. potts? hi, itâs y/nâ
âtheyâre in spaceâ
âare they coming back?â
âgod, i hopeâ
and then may dusted
and all your friends dusted
and you were freaking out
and pepper called you
âoh, my god, thank god youâre okayâ
âare peter and tony okay?â
âi have no idea.â sheâs crying now âis your aunt okay?â
âsheâs goneâ youâre crying now
âoh, jesus. okay, hey, donât worry, everything will be alright. iâm gonna get you a ride to the avengers compound. everyone we need is meeting thereâ
waiting weeks to find tony and your brother
your hopes were so high when captain marvel brought the ship back
you, steve, and pepper got there so fast
but your heart dropped when you heard âi lost the kidâ
pepper and tony decided to adopt you since you werenât quite 18 yet and tony knew what it was like to be young and alone
and you looked up to tony and pepper anyways
and they had already started to see you and peter as their âcrazy ass yet talented nephew and nieceâ (tonyâs words)
you were a bridesmaid in the wedding, though
and youâd never had a sister, so morgan was pretty great
you babysat a lot after you left the house because you secretly liked being back home
when the snap was reversed, everything was really really weird
peter was 5 years younger than you
you fought against thanos in a suit that you built yourself
peter didnât know it was you until you landed in front of him to protect him and lifted your mask up with tears in your eyes
it was the most emotional hug you ever had
may was super proud of who you grew up to be
but she was upset she didnât get to be there during some of the most important years of your life
mourning tony with your brother, trying to comfort him the best that you could
telling him all about the past five years
still having one of the strongest family bonds you could imagine because thatâs the way it is

Letter to The Truly Like Lightning Book Club
Iâm a person who likes to write, but I know I sometimes make spelling or grammatical mistakes which annoy people. I apologize in advance.
I do tend to be pretty open and honest about my feelings and I do feel deeply.
I kind of like social media to be upbeat and positive. I donât really like to knock it too much when it isnât. Whatâs the point!? Social Interaction between humans is sometimes problematic no matter what form it takes.
I have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. When it is triggered I have a flight response. On Twitter that means making my Twitter footprint smaller. I want to be smaller to protect myself. Yesterday, though, it seemed like I was being told that as small as my footprint had gotten, I wasnât small enough. What do I do now? How small can I go before Iâm gone.
I truly donât know where to go with something that is not a life threatening problem, not a rocket science issue, but is a little thing about a book club. I believe it was The Who who sang this is not a social crisis, but just another tricky day for you. This morning is a Tricky day. I am really wondering...
Do we cancel the book club?
Do we have a steering committee to organize it differently?
Do we go off twitter?
Do we have a different facilitator?
Should I leave social media, maybe shave my head and take a vow of silence?
How I feel about this is extremely foolish and really desperately sad with just a smidge of anger.
I feel foolish because I thought the book club was going really, really well. I have loved the discussion. It has deepened my understanding of the book which I already enjoyed. Itâs been fun. Imagine my surprise to find out there are issues. The sad and angry piece is a little complicated. So let me put the issues out first since that is what the club needs to discuss today. This is the fourth book club I have facilitated on Twitter. It has been my most pleasant experience until today. Every club has been formatted exactly the same. Apparently this one might need some restructuring.
1. When is the appropriate amount of time following a bookâs publication to allow to pass before doing a public book club where people who may not be in the book club could still see the discussion? People who might read the book in the future or had started the book and wasnât as far along might have spoilers. Itâs a valid concern, but Twitter isnât known for being a spoiler free zone. If a program drops on the East Coast two hours before my time, before I can watch spoilers exist on Twitter. However this book dropped February 2 and we waited until March 1st to begin the book club. We have a # but when people respond they donât always use the #. Also some people donât follow me and they are not part of the book club but because people retweet the questions they were showing up on peopleâs timeline when they didnât want them there. So the compromise we arrived at was no body can retweet any question or response and every response must have the #. Iâm still confused, though, about the rules. Movies/television =immediate spoilers acceptable, books= a month to six weeks is too soon. I was told itâs not a matter of rules but being nice. Ok. I want to be nice but what is the appropriate time because sometimes I donât read a book for years? If we postpone the book club for six months, a year, three years, thirty? With the compromise reached, why do I care? Because why are we being so quiet and circumspect about a book I think people ought to know about and read. Sometimes social media helps create a buzz. What a shame that a book club that is reading the book critically and in depth is, to some degree, being told to not be so loud because, you know, Twitter is a spoiler free zone. To be clear, I think the persons who raise the concerns did so for legitimate reasons and out of concerns for future readers of the book, but when we talk about the reasons I am sad and angry you will see why this upset me we much. itâs not their fault but I responded poorly and Iâm still coming down from my PTSD spiral.
2. Perhaps, the problem is that Twitter isnât the appropriate forum for a book club. Maybe Discord or private messages or zoom. Yes. This is the fourth book club Iâve hosted on Twitter. I was asked in March last year if I would start a book club due to quarantine. Theyâve all been successful so far. Why do I feel so silenced? Again I donât think the person who suggested this meant anymore than oh, letâs solve the spoiler problem. But I have a particular reason for not wanting to be silenced.
3. Some people have read the full book already and want to talk about the book in its entirety. I see that. I really do. I just have never had a book club like that. That means waiting longer. Some people like the chapter a day. Should we do multiple book clubs ?
4. Are the questions too serious? The subject matter is complex. Would a different facilitator be more appropriate? One who wouldnât highlight the controversial and serious issues!
Why am I sad and a little angry? Why did my PTSD kick in outside of it being a bad year and a stressful time at work and Iâm tired? Havenât had a day off I a long while. (No complaints I have a job). Iâm tired.
April 2017 I started the Twitter account @hearteyes4david. I had help but it was mostly me. I kind of love David Duchovnyâs writing. I have blogged about it and have said someday he will have a break out novel. I believe Truly Like Lightning should be it. But the account showed love for all things David and I believe it gave some fans some fun. I enjoyed being a part of it. We had newsletters and contests. But for me, I an first and foremost a fan of Davidâs writing. I write. I admire writers. His writing should not be diminished by his other careers. In March of last year with the lock down I was asked to facilitate a Miss Subways book club, then the lock down went on so we did his other two books. Twitter and hearteyes have been my happy place in this year. Itâs hard when your happy place feels threatening.
I was fortunate enough to get an advance digital copy of the book to read. Wow. Different! Great! It is not because I am đ. This is one of the best books Iâve read this century. I am an avid reader. I have a critical eye. I wrote a spoiler free review. Almost immediately a fan contacted me. Because of spoilers you shouldnât have posted this. Why donât you do a DM for those who are interested? Donât do spoilers. Itâs a spoiler free review. This fan continued to tell me that it would be best not to post about the book. ( you know, spoilers). Then fans who had not read the book but knew for a fact that every other page was full of sex scenes and drugs and it was essentially exactly like Californication (not remotely) started saying nothing should be posted on the đ page about this book. Then a fan who hadnât read it complained about how it handled religion and said it would cause her personal pain to see anything about this book on the đ page. I kept saying. I actually donât care if you read it or not. My suggestion is you mute, block or unfollow the account if you donât like the content. âBut the pain, could we at least not do the book club? â. đ„șđ„șđ„ș. I was convinced that rather than have the controversy on the đ page I would choose to leave my happy place account I had created to start a small account and my fan related activities became far more focused. It might not seem like much, but the decision to leave đ was hard, but I wanted to talk about this book. These arenât the only reasons but the three pronged fans really angry at me for a book I didnât write which wasnât even published yet was challenging during the holiday season of 2020. I made my Twitter footstep smaller. I passed the account to Charmion who is doing great.
So then I waited till March to talk about the book. In the meantime âfansâ who hadnât read the book, immediately started to spread lies and mistruths about the book including selective out of context screen shots. So much for âSpoilersâ. Still I waited until March. So now I have a smaller account followed by 100 people which very few âsuper fansâ know about and about 5-7 of us are talking about this book. Thatâs it. For 18 days we have discussed the difficult, complex flawed characters and how the book demonstrates that these characters actions caused harm to other characters and yet left us with empathy for all. We have not always agreed. Itâs a book club. Reading one chapter a day.
Yet somehow we are too loud. My tweets were being retweeted. You know, have to be concerned about spoilers. Were there 15 hate filled tweets from people who shared screen caps they were sent of random out of context paragraphs, people who proudly say they havenât read the book, donât need to, theyâre experts, 15 for every one of mine. Of course. But Iâm too loud. You know. Spoilers
So I am sad. Desperately so. I walked away from an account I had poured a lot of love into because I believed in a book I wanted to talk about. After being pretty involved in the fandom, my current activities are pretty narrowed. Iâm not sure I can continue to facilitate the book club. I guess my days involved in âfandomâ outside of being a fan are drawing to a close. My happy place is kind of gone.
Iâm angry because this book deserves to be critically read on its merits. Iâm angry because I donât like my voice to be silenced. Iâm angry because I think there are fans who actually like the book who are in fact concerned about spoilers, but they donât realize by silencing or at least quieting the discussion of fans who have read and want to discuss the book, they are only allowing the space for the haters voices to be heard. Iâm angry at myself because every step of the way I should have handle this differently. Iâm angry because I shouldnât care so much. Itâs not a Jan 6 insurrection, climate change, or world peace. Itâs a book by an author who donât need me to fight these battles.
Finally Iâm simply confused about where or what to do. With an account of 100 followers some people who donât follow me think Iâm too loud because Iâm posting about something they donât want on their feed (Davidâs book) and someone might repost me. Because I feel threaten by people telling me too get smaller my response is to try and get smaller. So I shouldnât post about Davidâs book because there are people in he fandom who donât want to see posts about Davidâs book. Ok. I should come on Twitter and never interact because that way no one will ever see a post from me they donât want to seeđ€·ââïž. Mercy, Iâm on a lobbyist, have you guys seen the political stuff I post on my other account? Yep, probably just the fandom stuff I need to walk away from except for, you know, being a fan, but never discussing it.
