The fact that tonight this movie won 4 awards, one of them being Best Picture – Non-English Language, just shows exactly that it doesn't matter that this movie was racist and offensive, as long as it covers what they believe it's inclusive, they won't care.

Emilia Pérez is the most problematic piece of work I've ever seen in my life. A complete disgrace. It's no surprise that Europeans see us Mexicans this way, but the recognition it's receiving leaves me perplexed. It's an ignorant and insensitive film regarding what millions of Mexicans suffer due to drug trafficking and the fact that the director didn't even bother to investigate the country is disrespectful.
