ttpd release day was probably one of the worst taylor release days ever. the way social media was FULL of people blaming her for supposedly breaking up with that man "because of his depression" was so insidious. i remember a viral tweet mocking her for writing about her own mental health issues "after leaving her ex for being mentally ill". it reminded me of how people treated ariana in 2018/19 and blamed her for her ex's overdose because she "left him while he was struggling". but the thing about men is that they dont "suffer in silence" ever. when they have some mental illness or even just some stupid ass minor issue they literally make the lives of everyone who cares about them and tries to help them utterly miserable, especially women, and it's always morally right to leave these fucking losers
