i would love to hear about how you think tai and allie's first interaction post-rescue (if any) went

oh you know allie is one of my favorite tai topics! 

realistically, tai has no reason to really interact with allie at all post-rescue at all.  high school is over, and she's getting out of town as fast as possible.  she wants to move forward.  but honestly,  she would try to avoid it regardless anyway.

she will have complicated feelings about allie for the rest of her life.  i've said it before but i hate the fandom theory that tai was acting as other tai when she hurt allie,  because it devalues such a defining character moment for tai.   (  "you always win, anyway" / "why do you think i like to play?" )    she's going to do what she has to do to get what she wants,  and she's going to go too far,  and she's going to get people hurt,  and she's going to have to be left to deal with that.  after allie's hurt,  she's completely frozen in the locker room, refuses to make eye contact,  because she truly doesn't know if she meant to hurt her or not,  but the point is,  she was definitely in acting within her own agency.  and despite her own complicated feelings over what happened,  even when she's repeatedly called out on what she did to allie,  she does nothing to actually defend herself,  she only pushes it back on everyone else instead.  when she tells shauna that she didn't mean to, shauna says okay,  and tai just has to convince herself that shauna believes her, even if deep down, she knows she probably doesn't.  

if they had gone on to nationals, competed, and won like was her plan from the beginning,  i don’t think she would have considered allie much at all.  she does feel guilt for how horribly allie was hurt, but it’s more about knowing she was capable of that that fucked her up.  but they didn’t make it to nationals,  and the first night they’re stuck in the wilderness,  mari reminds her of what she did —- “i guess you did allie a favor.”  and that’s what sticks with tai forever.  that’s what forces her to face what she did for, realistically, nothing.  and it’s interesting that this happens nearly the same time they’re all talking about what they could have done wrong to put them in this situation — - and hurting allie, in exchange for the best prepared teams for nationals, only for her to crash and get stuck in the wilderness and allie to theoretically be safe back at home is exactly the kind of karma they’re discussing.  and of course tai doesn’t believe in that shit — except now mari is forcing her to think about it.  and now she can’t stop thinking about that.  

obviously at some point, they are just so far removed from what they left back in civilization.  when tai thinks about it, her focus is more on where she’s supposed to be going, not what she left behind.  she’s focused on wanting to move on with her life and how she’s missing out on college, etc.  she’s not letting herself think about allie because, again, if they’d made it to nationals, it wouldn’t have mattered in the end — she could justify it to herself by having done what she needed to do in their final year while allie still had the rest of her high school soccer career to make her own mark.  but she hurt a girl to get here, and then she ultimately ended up worse than allie, doesn’t even know if she’ll make it out with her own life, so really, what did she hurt allie for?  was it really worth it?  is this her karma?  is allie resentful, or relieved?  is she grateful for what tai did now, or is she still rightfully upset?  what is allie telling people about tai,  is this the name being made of her in her absence?  so many things going through tai’s head about it.  and also,  so many things that are becoming so far irrelevant out there because it’s hard to even really think about the people they left behind,  not knowing if they’ll ever make it back.  hardly even feeling like they’re real anymore.

and as time goes on, they get more comfortable with violence.  violence is clearly becoming their own language at the end of season 2, and they have to be comfortable with it.  in some ways — tai watching javi die when they could’ve saved him just so they can eat isn’t all that different from her taking down allie when she could’ve found other ways to actually help her,  just so she could secure their best team for finals.  and maybe tai realizes that.  and maybe what happens with javi and everyone else that dies after him helps tai justify what she did to allie on a personal level — it’s about survival and it’s about doing what they have to do to win.  “do whatever it takes to survive” is just a new level of “do what it takes to win.”  so as violence becomes second nature out there,  she can’t hold onto what what did to allie anymore.  that doesn’t mean it doesn’t still cross her mind —- if she’s capable of this violence out there, then she knows she was likely capable of that violence back there, too.  

as an adult, we see tai revert back to that same annoyance she felt for allie before the crash, mostly because of the way allie seems to thrive off of what happened to them versus the way tai has to work in overtime to bury it all.  but in the wilderness, every so often, allie crosses her mind, and she doesn’t bring it up to anyone, because she wouldn’t even know how to talk about her. wonders if her team still resents her for what she did to her, wonders if allie is okay / if she forgives her considering the circumstances, wonders if she’ll ever see her again. not to apologize, because she wouldn’t know how to do that, either, but allie is the face she sees when she thinks about home, more often than not, her own haunting.  and what she did to allie,  in a strange way,  makes her stronger out there.  and it makes her resentful as an adult,  because now she’s associated hurting allie with the inevitable, brutal violence out there — that same violence she’s trying to repress, so being face to face with allie is just worse.

so to actually answer your question now — she would avoid allie.  because if she were to see allie soon after she was rescued,  it would be so complicated and so hard for her to process that she wouldn’t even know how to respond.  even when we see her 25 years later rolling her eyes at allie at the reunion, that took years for her to really get to that place.  

but what is she supposed to say to allie after everything she just experienced?  tai does everything she can to avoid responsibility when she knows she’s done something wrong  ( even to those she loves.  she knows what happened to v.an was her fault but there’s a reason she only mentions that to someone else rather than trying to apologize to her.  )  if allie was looking for an apology,  tai would not know how to give it.  she’s done so much worse to other people at this point that it would feel silly to her, even though allie would still deserve it.  if allie was looking for some kind of friendship to mend things between them,  it would not matter to tai,  because she’s moving on   ( and, without even realizing it, she’s associating allie with so many of those worse things she’s done. )  she would just have such an uncomfortable reaction to being around allie again and it would be way too complicated to unpack,  and tai is focused on moving on,  so she won’t dwell.  she doesn’t apologize, she doesn’t tell her anything.  when she sees allie, she can only treat her like a former teammate she’ll never see again, because that’s all she needs her to be,  despite all the turmoil going on in her own head about it.  she can’t falter to allie now, after everything.  she won’t let herself.

and as an adult, we see her rolling her eyes in annoyance about allie — but to her face, she isn’t ever interacting with her directly.  mostly, she’s acting like she barely remembers her, but of course she does.  she just can’t let it matter to her anymore,  because hurting allie is the last worst thing she did before her entire life flipped upside down and turned her into something even worse.  that is her last sense of ‘normalcy’ and it led her right into what she became after that.

so i ended up only reading about 2.5 of the 3 books of the Machiko Noguchi saga, published 1994 - 1999, these are what the first AVP movie is taking from in some form (although they're more set in the Alien timeline of future space travel instead of modern day like the movie) but the first book is still near and dear to my heart. The good two are written by Steve Perry and daughter Stephani Perry, whomst! by the way! If you're familiar with the Resident Evil novels, SD Perry is Stephani Perry here!

This book is the one you wanna read, it's a closed story and rewired my brain chemistry: Aliens vs. Predator: Prey, 1994.

This first book stays with me even if I'm not directly thinking about it; around the same time I read it I had DigimonWorld Dusk for the NDS and I got a friend to get Dawn so I could have best boy Guilmon, and I named him after the main Yautja character Dachande. Ever since with Digimon games, Dachande is the name I give my Guilmon. This book is great because it's told from both Machiko's perspective and Dachande's, so you see a glimpse into Yautja society and thought/language as well as how Machiko saw them. I haven't read it in years but it was formative stuff.

The second book, Hunter's Planet, was by a different author in the worst way and it shows; not only was the plot like, weirdly dumb in a modern failed attempt at a blockbuster way but the second book was my first run-in with like "An editor should've caught that" type mistakes in mass published stuff. It's because of this book that when I write a sequence of a lot of dialogue without tags/noting who is speaking I go back and comb through it because, personality aside, the author of this second book David Bischoff would write long discussions between Machiko and her android buddy but it was immensely difficult to tell who was saying what because they pretty much spoke exactly the same. Kind of disappointing, imo skippable but maybe it's good in a B-Movie way now.

The third book, War, marks SD Perry's return! And it really showed from what I remember of the half that I read of it, sadly I did not finish it.

Since then I think Machiko has appeared in comic runs and is referenced in other things in the more print-world stuff rather than movies. AVP1 the movie was an iteration on Machiko's story, and I really dont' remember it being that bad of a film. I think people were upset because they interpreted the marking of the woman's face as romantic (???) instead of respect, which, to the book's credit and less the movie's, the movie didn't take its time to explain Yautja culture and probably assumed the audience would figure it out. Which, some did, but the backlash was so great that in AVP2 the Yautja, the only other sentient alien in the movie, did not interact with humans at all. Which tbh made for a worse movie! So. Y'know, happy reading!

i would be repeating myself but above authors are also both very talented people and write longer fics (and a lot more villain content if that is bread and butter) so i can reccomend in good faith

On the one hand, as a transmasc who very much enjoys piv sex and reading about it, I do like having access to fic that caters to that, but you're also absolutely right that Gomems fans almost exclusively writing piv (despite and especially when employing the "effort" fanon) is... hm. Sus at best. Like, yes, many of the authors of those fics are trans themselves, but not only is it not just them writing it, some of the dialogue is also... well. Not ideal. I've read more than one where a penis and vagina were described as like "matching" or "counterpart" to each other and I've also never, ever seen a Gomens fic (not counting "genderswapped" which I'm not even gonna discuss in detail rn but just wanna clarify doesn't inherently make you "problematic" esp if you're a lesbian but is still a can of worms) where both of them have a vagina and that's... well, noticeable for sure...

gojo said it correctly- this is the difference between yuji and megumi. what a shame that this was barely emphasized in the anime but megumis tactic is to win by dying while yuji will win even if he dies. mahoraga is megumis trump card

megumi cant push himself to the extremes that yuji and gojo do, like lots of humans. most people will turn away by instinct from the slightest amount of failure, or if some feel like they have no choice, they will die just to win. yuji always has hope while megumi has a trump card. thats why yuji still continued after what sukuna did in yujis body at shibuya... even though he was devastated and lost motivation, there was always a source of hope (in shibuya it was todo)

but ah I'm so glad you sympathized with Ramattra because that's exactly what I wanted!! He's done something awful- is doing something awful- but he's doing it because he loves you so much. Everything he's done, he's done because he's had a hard life and you were one of so few good things he's had. I really wanted the reader (ie the real people not the stand in character) to have... complicated feelings about this version of Ramattra.

but in particular fjdshg yes! When Ramattra was actually striving for peace, he had to work against such heavy biases against him simply because of his model (both the vendor in Nepal and Nameless make comments on him being an r-7000 as soon as he meets them), so he must be acutely aware that he is treated differently than other omnics.

Ok this isnt my usual way of doing things cuz... Well, tbh i dont really care enough to actually make a post bout most things, id just rather reblog shit, but I've now seen several posts comparing the Loki finale with spn's and just... Where?

Spn ended as a show with one of the most hopelessness inducing shit I've ever seen, taking a character thats been consistently seen as at the very least depressed and killing him off with a 'that's what his happy ending looks like' plastered on it, another character who's whole ark was reconciling with himself about who he is only to make him essentially cut half of himself out for a kid and also still be unhappy, and a third who's whole thing was learning what free will is and that he too deserves free will only to have him go back to obeying orders in heaven. It was absolutely against everything the show had portrayed for 15 years, including in the actual season this finale was a part of.

Loki is an on going show (s 2 confirmed), but even if it hadn't been, the shows main narrative themes remained true to the end, Loki did in fact grow as a character, the shows ultimate plot is about free will, tackling also the fact that free will means shit will also happen, its not only roses and happiness and Sylvie stuck to her actual goal and achieved it, aka killing whoever was behing the TVA. Loki's goal throughtout the show wasn't killing the Time keepers, it was having the free will to write his own life story and he's done and doing exactly that, sometimes that means shit happens, no characters died needlessly in my opinion and as I've said, in no way did it go against its own themes that it established initially. Not to mention the fact again that it's ongoing!

Finally to touch on what people are really complaining about (the more vocal post I've seen circulating, I've no doubt some people just genuinely didn't like it and thats fine) which is the Sylvie/Loki thing. Ok lets discuss. Firstly, if it's not ur thing that's entirely fine, its not mine either, but to claim it's a problem for u cuz it's, as Ive seen multiole people say, heteronormative is hella problematic to me since it seems to erase the fact that both characters by their own words are bi/pan. That's shitty. Number 2: 'if Sylvie was male presenting they wouldn't have gone there'... Now while I do think Marvel/Disney wouldnt likely have the balls, I still find issue with this statement since it feels very... Sexist to me. I dunno what exactly about it, but it very much reads like y'all would not complain bout the pairing if Sylvie was male presenting more so than a dig at Marvel/Disney and that is not cool with me. And finally, C the selfcest thing as incest stand-in. Ok so I get that selfcest aint for everyone, which again, fair point if u just dont vibe at all, but the actual issues people seem to have is less with it being selfcest and more that its not mlm, which is highly hypocritical. Now to the people who do just dislike it for being basically incest, ur perogative, ur view , but I'd've hoped that the whole multivers aspect of this show could've made it clearer that while they are variants of each other they are not actually the same person. Also also since the spn parallel is what began this, to the spn fans I ask, how tf can y'all not see this, the multuple versions of Sam and Dean alone should have you realize it's someones history, experience, surroundings, accuaintances that mould a person. We don't even know for sure if they share parents! Its a dif universe they've been born in, oddly enough that means they couldn't be more physically different, even if they may share some personality traits or some history between them. Again, i dont ship it, it feels awkward to me based on their interactions, but that doesnt mean imma say some bullshit bout incest just cuz I dont like the idea. Fact is they're not actually related and, as an aside, the would u fuck ur clone talk has been around for ages with little issues about incest because its already covered in the meme as is the pollar opposite.

Ok this was rambly and well, hopefully some of my points have been made clear. To end I just wanna say I do look forward to season 2, I can't wait to see Mobius and Loki reacquaint now that we have a Mobius that doesnt remember/know Loki it'll be a nice juxtapose to their relation this season (yes i ship it, whatever) and also also wanna see what's gonna happen with Kang overall and with Sylvie. She wasn't having a good time there.

So quick add, I just realised why the comparison fucks with me so much more than other shit and it's cuz it reduces both finales to shipping, thats why it annoys me, it essentially undermines Loki's whole arc and reduces it to shipping and it also undermines just how bad spn ended and why its bad since it also reduces it to a ship. Neither are bad or good because of a ship being canon or not on its own and seeing this comparison makes it seem very much like thats the reason spn ended bad and equally makes Loki ending bad because of course it would if the ship didnt go the way you wanted it. But thats not the way to measure a show like Loki or Spn, or at least def not the only measurement to apply for the end conclusion.

okok i know its like common for sakusa to be shown as not interested in PDA (in private or public) unless hes feeling "needy"

BUT i believe that after a few weeks, maybe months if he's still unsure, he would definitely be much more comfortable with PDA

like, if its been a long time and your both serious about it and not just in a relationship to be in a relationship he starts to notice your routine

he notices the changes you make so that he's comfortable and so that you can be close to him without him being worried about icky yicky germy wormys (someone take away my thought privileges)

so now that he knows that you take care of your hygiene and exactly what you do for it, slowly he's wrapping an arm around you in 30° heat while you're both sweating

slowly he's "forgetting" his mask in the car for dates

slowly, but surely, he understands that a little bit of exposure, isn't a bad thing.

"kiyoomi?" your voice brought sakusa's eyes to yours where he could see the concern behind them.

"are you okay y/n?"

you'd decided, after three weeks of intense training and barely seeing your boyfriend, that you wanted just one day and one night with him. just the two of you, you know he'd never admit it, but he needed a break.

after atsumu decided to try out some new plays that didn't start off to well, sakusa had been silently groaning everytime he had to reach for something. he was excellent at making sure he wasn't overworking himself, and he wasn't, its just that the human body is an absolute wonder, and not in a good way. sometimes things that should have mildly injured you, left you with a tiny scrape, or a bruise or a very quick-to-fade red mark, and sometimes you drop a phone on your face and break your fucking jaw.

you offer him a gentle smile that completely washes away the concern in your eyes.

"im fine omi! but you," you reach your hands up to rest on both sides of his face turning his head side to side, studying it intensly.

"you're looking a little pale. and possibly grey."

"how do you mean y/n-chan?"

for such an intelligent man sometimes he really could be a himbo.

"i mean that i think you might be sick, baby."

sakusa stared blankly at you, as if he couldn't fathom the possibility of 'himself, sick?'

"omi? kiyoomi!" you nabbed his attention, "i think you're sick, and we best go home."

"but-" he started, but you were quick to cut him off knowing exactly what he was about to say.

"kiyoomi, it's inevitable. even if you were the worlds most decked out with ppe, and the worlds leading force in hygeine, you'd still end up catching a cold at least once. that's just how the world works baby. and don't worry about the date, all i want is to spend some time with you."

you ended up practically dragging your sad little puppy of a boyfriend back up the complex stairs and into his unit before settling him on the couch and getting to work.

"ill get you some water, you just sit here and relax. i don't want to think about what would happen if those dumbasses didnt have you there next week, bokuto and hinata would probably crack their skulls!" your attempt at a little light hearted humour helped sakusa forget for a moment, but he was quick to go back to not understanding how he was sick.

"thank you." he took the glass from your hand and rested it between his legs, when he noticed the rubber gloves you had clutched at your side. he knew what they were for, those were his cleaning gloves.

"what are you doing? you can't stay you'll..." he paused. "you'll get sick too."

"i'll be fine omi-omi! you just relax and drink lots of water, ill take care of this." you turned towards the wall with a soft smile before muttering, "ill take care of you."

sakusa watched you clean, the bucket full of diluted bleach, the duster, a cloth, and his cleaning gloves. he loved the way that they were too big for you, the way you kept having to pull them up every so often to keep them on. he loved the way that everytime he finished his glass of water, you were right there to fill it back up.

you don't even remember seeing, or hearing him lift himself from his spot on the couch and make his way over to where you were humming and covering the counters in the diluted solution. you felt a pair of big arms wrap around you, a chin on your shoulder and a kiss on your cheek.

"thank you, y/n. i love you."

thank god he caught a cold, or he might never have realized just how lucky he was.

is a family man but not just ANY family man

yes, it's important to him that you like and respect his parents and vice versa

but its just slightly more important to him that you get along with his friends, his found family because im a SUCKER for the classic lilo n stitch trope

he knows that many people say that its his life and he doesn't need anyones approval etc.

but iwaizumi believes different, he believes that he doesn't need approval in the literal sense but rather approval through watching you interact with his friends and his family and how you do your best to learn about them and make time for them, even though you dont have to

and he thinks it's absolutely enthralling

the way your eyes light up when you see that book his mom has been talking about wanting to read and picking it up with no hesitation

how you're able to almost flawlessly keep up with issei and takahiro's antics while also making sure they don't go too far, something even iwaizumi struggles with

and most importantly, how effortlessly you connect with his childhood best friend.

there were many things that Iwaizumi Hajime enjoyed, volleyball, athletics, godzilla of course, spending time with three dumbasses (but he’ll never admit that) and a little while ago, he added you to that list.

you were so effortlessly able to connect with his team, his friends, and his family but most importantly, the way you were able to connect with Oikawa brought a smile to his face.

“oh, iwa-chan~, what are you admiring?” there he went again, Iwa thought, Tohru Oikawa’s dumb smirk and hyper awareness of his team, both on and off court. how he wated to head-butt him in the face. but, he showed restraint. after all, he wouldn’t want loserkawa to use you as a human shield from his head. so, he ignored the urge. but it passed as soon as he saw tohrus arm arond your shoulders, crossed feet and leaning on you ever so slightly while he took a few occasional swigs from his water.

and just like that, the incredible restraint vanished like morning mist.

you could practically see the steam coming off of his hot skin, and the vein popping out of his forehead, when you noticed what had him so heated. “trashykawa get your filthy hands off of my girlfriend!”

“excuse me!” he pouted, “my hands are clean and tailored! just like any responsible setters would be!” he stuck his lip out farther and gave you his irresistable puppy-dog eyes. “y/n-chan, i’m not filthy! am i?” he whined.

and, as the word suggests, his look was truly irresistable and you stumbled over your words. “n-no! of course not tohru!”

“see, iwa-chan! y-n thinks i’m squeaky clean!” his dumb smirk appeared again, and rather than continue with flirtykawas obvious games, Iwa opted for the less violen approach.

“don’t flatter yourself, dirtykawa. she’s just being nice.” he growled. “I’m done for the day, i have a project due. y-n.” he offered his hand to you like the gentleman he is not forcing you to take it, but the look in his eyes told you that he wanted you too.

“see you later, tohru!” you gave him a quick hug and intertwined your fingers with iwa’s.

now, technically, girls aren’t allowed in the boys locker room but since it’s after hours and just you and iwaizumi no one cared. to be fair though, literally no one knew except the team so, whatever you didn’t complain you got to watch yout ultra ripped boyfriend change. quality time. you thought, when you noticed him mid-change with his shirt over his head, resting on his arms. as any good girlfriend would, despite the devil on your shoulder, you came up behind him placing your hands on his seriously broad shoulders. taking notice of the tension, you started to work at the muscles. your care was quickly rewarded with a quiet sigh, and relaxed shoulders.

“hajime?” you continued rubbing at the tight fibers, “are you alright? you’re usually the one telling me im holding too much tension.” you giggled and he turned to face you placing one hand against the side of your face.

“hajime?” it came out shaky and worried.

“i’m okay,” he smiled “it’s just,” hesitation. he was never one to hesitate.

“i know i have no right to be but seeing oikawa so clingy with you it just, i dont know, it really gets to me i guess? he, just, he gets all the girls, all the attention, and i don’t want to-” you stopped him.

“sweetheart, it’s okay to be jealous or upset i’m not going to be angry, you have a right to your feelings. I understand how you feel, i never mean to flirt with him, if i ever have, i mean i don’t know, you know how bad of a flirt i am,” he chuckles at that. “it’s just that i know how important he is to you and you are so, so important to me and i want to be able to understand whats important to you, so you never have to choose between us, because that wouldn’t be fair. i love you, hajime iwaizumi, and everything about you.”

you expected him to be shocked, hell, he thought he would be shocked when or if you said it, but he wasn’t. and that’s exactly how he knew what to say next.

“i love you too, y/n l/n.” pressing a soft kiss against your lips.

“geez, it only took you two a century and forever.” someone snarked.

hajime chucked a towel at him “get out assykawa!” and he did, he bolted through the door laughing like the demon matchmaker he thought he was.

Remakes. I want to include them (Especially since I've already put both Hewitt's and Sawyer's in) because its just supposed to be insane meta fun, but how would that work? Maybe theirs a phase where the characters with remakes go and try to take them out?

this was the rogue tangent thought: “what if Sam is haunted by Figaro’s ghost and has been since he was a kid?”. i’ve changed the ghost cat to not be Figaro but that’s the premise !

i refer to the fic as the cat fic ‘cause the whole plot is based around sam’s ghost cat companion insisting he adopts nat’s cat Liho after endgame and then Figaro later and then [insert redacted because plot spoilers but just know it relates to Alpine]. no im not projecting my feelings about cats idk what youre talking about 

here’s some note snippets just for you:

the cat, inexplicably, takes a liking to bucky, which is really annoying bc sam doesnt know how to explain to him that all the oddly soft gusts of wind are actually sam's dead cat insisting on getting pats

bucky getting shade thrown at him by said ghost cat during all of tfatws + them making up (and not out. yet)

starts when sam's a kid & follows him as he grows up w/ a ghost kitty as a companion only he can see & interact with + angst with an undertone of comedy + getting together

he whispers to ghost kitty, who simply mmrrs happily

for the among us first draft thing, what basically happened is i saw this tweet and this video and my brain latched onto these dynamics so hard i had to write about them.

The thing having Cyan pause and stare out at the asteroid field is how the colors stretch to family. When they and Black came aboard, they had thought every crewmember was an adult working on the planet-change project. That the patch of off-white with a black something-pattern-or-shape signified status. In a way, Cyan supposes it does, but just not the way they expected. They had expected it to show what rank an individual held within the hierarchy of the crew, from deckhand to division leader to captain, not to show that you're family of the crew and not actually part of the crew itself. 

There are innocents on this ship. Children. It was not something any of them had anticipated, and not something Cyan had been prepared to deal with. They and Black boarded this horrible place to eradicate a threat, believing each and single one of the humans were accomplishes and dedicated to the goal of destroying Cyan and Black's species, and their planet. But, now?

marvel meets warframe meets a bunch of tumblr posts... doesn’t have a wip title or seperate document for itself yet cause it’s been stuck in my ‘story ideas’ document since its creation. so ‘marvel meets warframe meets a bunch of tumblr posts’ is literally just me describing the vibe of an original world gjkerfkds

the world came to be for two reasons. firstly, i want to do make take on a superhero universe because the plot and complete lack of communication in both the dcu and mcu piss me the fuck off. secondly, needed a place to dump ocs with elaborate backstories or fantasy / sci-fi abilities that dont fit into any of my existing worlds

which sounds super competent but trust me, it isn’t. it didn’t gain any solidity at all until i decided to do a personal ‘how different can i make spn castiel look & still retain the same vibe?’ challenge. i have my own cas now

however, the reason i said ‘marvel meets...’ is because i’ve snagged a couple of different things from the mcu, most notably: enemies to reluctant coworkers to lovers, yes our best friend have the same name. no they’re not the same person, secret evil org is controlling the government, and the assassin that tried to kill you several times is now your best friend

warframe was added to the world because i got attached to my Volt build, gave them a name, and have some headcanons idk what to do with because i refuse to interact with that fandom. also because the friend i made through discussing warframe lore + plot dicked me over so it feels Bad to create for

the glue to this whole mess is that one “in every friend group there’s a mean bisexual, an even meaner lesbian, a she/they, a he/they, a himbo, an astrology bitch, a short king, and a token straight” tumblr post. my main group of superheroes ala the avengers consist of these people. the token straight is the only one i havent figured out who is yet

ever since i figured that out ive been throwing story / character ideas and weirdly specific aesthetics from popular tumblr posts into this world’s notes. here’s some examples:

uhhhhhh so i guess we start with picking a character u really Vibe with tm? I KNOW THIS SOUNDS LIKE COMMON SENSE BUT LIKE ive been considering making a genshin ask blog for a while now but i never really got to it cos i couldnt really decide on a character (plus the fact that their outfits are. so intricate. is also a hmm since i try to follow details to a t) (at first i wanted to do zhongli, but i feel like to be able to muse him well u need to know the lore super super well, which i dont n im too lazy to research on that aha. n u know how much i respect characterizations, especially for such a complex character like him. i also considered xiangling for a period of time mostly for guoba but also like i have 2+1 blogs here n having one more might not be a very good idea aha) (as for aesop he was my Hyperfixation Character tm also cos i looked at his kit n went Yep i could work with this. probably)

so assuming ur not a dumbass like me n u kinda know who u wanna pick, id actually say to snoop around here for other ask blogs n kinda get a feel of the... scene? is that the word? or like u know, other blogs that u can potentially vibe with. ive run a couple of ask blogs before this current one (both that have died for different reasons) n from my experience interacting with other blogs (if theyre okay with it, i think most should be) is pretty fun. it also kinda helps get ur blog around to other ppl on other blogs so they can go Oh whats this cool shit n check u out, n its also a reason why we kinda reblog promo posts for other blogs (also cos we’re always excited when someone new comes on, its really the more the merrier. we see all :eyes:). interacting with other blogs is also an option when ur inbox is looking real roomy too

another reason why i havent exactly done a genshin blog is that idk i cant actually seem to find genshin ask blogs around (i have seen rp blogs, or those that answer asks with mostly text instead of art, but thats. not my thing since i hate my own writing aha) (i did find one aether blog some time ago, but for some reason i hardly see them around anymore??? idk man i might be wrong). its not like im trying super hard to find them ask blogs, so im sure they exist out there (hopefully?? im not sure but im being optimistic). i mean theres nothing wrong with just starting an ask blog without others around, but for me i do find a difference when i interact with other ask blogs n when i dont, n i prefer when theres others to have fun with (unfortunately i couldnt find any ask blogs to interact with in my previous fandom. i tried, but the blogs i approached seemed to go inactive shortly afterwards...) plus u get to meet friends that way too :D (i made a lot of friends via idv askblogs n its really been a joy vibing with others)

as for the idv scene. gestures around me. unfortunately there are a lot of ask blogs that arent that active anymore, but theres still some of us who are alive n kicking empty inboxes, n im sure everyone would love to see a new face around. winks at u. also there seems to be a lot more blogs popping up lately, which is really heartening to see.

then u kinda just. make ur blog? n a starting introduction post so ppl can reblog it n spread the word XD n yay u have a blog i guess??? XD

i gotta say tho. dont expect ur blog to take off immediately (especially for smaller fandoms like idv, tvbh i didnt think my blog would even get half this far when i started cos of how non existent idv tumblr seemed to be) n ur inbox will probably be looking pretty empty a lot of the time (or at least filled with some that u havent quite thought of how to reply to yet aha) (but also like empty inboxes happen pretty often, im sure most of us here have experienced this problem)

in the case of the first ask blog i ever started, it never really took off at all. ngl it was kind of demoralizing n depressing but to be fair i had picked one of the more obscure characters in the series, so obscure that many ppl in the fandom would have never heard of this character before. if u wanted to know, i took a character that only appeared in the 2nd musical of the series, who also made a very brief cameo in the manga to acknowledge his existence within that universe. thats how obscure my character was, but i went with him purely because he was my favourite character. i will say though i did enjoy it while it lasted n i learnt a lot from the experience, n i think thats whats important really.

i guess this kinda leads on (not really but let me digress) to the whole uhhhh thing where if u choose a more popular character, u get more attention. which is fine i guess? if u really vibe with the character, i mean theyre popular for a reason. n choosing a more popular fandom (like genshin) would objectively also get u more viewers n numbers. but like honestly i believe that ask blogs are meant for u to have fun with, n like trying to get popular gets tiring pretty fast (this shouldnt be like a main goal, but u know sometimes u subconsciously also want that gucci follower count n bomb ass notes or something. i used to be guilty of this until i realized it isnt worth it) especially if ur not enjoying yourself in the process. (case in point: my previous fandom was considerably larger n my blog got about 700 followers within a year or so, but it got very tiring n stressful to maintain after my interest in it died, n no one was really interacting with the blog even though i tried which kinda made it even more depressing despite the so called success n popularity of the blog)

anyway on a less serious note, theres a lot of fun stuff u can do with the ask blog, like some ask blogs have really fancy tags that i really like n try to do but also like not really HAHAHAHA. i kinda just channel what i want to see in an ask blog into my own ask blogs (good art is one, i try very hard for it to be good :,DD another is characterization, n others is just extra miscellaneous arts n stuffs like au ideas or memes. these are also somethings u could work on during ask box downtimes perhaps)

uhhh another side thing is like a posting schedule i guess? like ppl would be more likely to interact (i think) if ur blog is relatively active, n this is usually determined by the last post u made (i think XD). but like generally for blog maintenence id say try to kinda find a frequency that ur comfortable with?? cos i know my once a day posting is kinda insane if i wasnt so hyperfixated on all of this n fight the urge to dump all ur replies when u finish them XD (though ive seen some blogs do that n they do it pretty frequently so its pretty nice to know once u see their post u can spend some time going through the latest batch of posts XD) the queue function is pretty useful here even though i truthfully have never really used it, i kinda just post from my drafts really but it also helps to space out ur content to seem somewhat active especially when u dont have the time to be working on replies sometimes. i hope u know what im trying to say here aha

ANYWAY that was like my 1.5 cents cos i dont even think its worth 2 cents HAHAHAHAH these are just my thoughts from running all my blogs up till now, some that are still running n the others that have just died a natural death. i wouldnt actually delete them (theyre still around actually XD) cos theyre kinda like archives n i can look back at what i did last time. cos ngl i made some high quality stuff back then, n i dont even know how i managed to do that aldhflhdsgk. also ppl do look at archive blogs every now n then for the content thats there yknow

Why tumblr user donottearmedown/luciequeenofelfame/luciehvrondaie is an embarrassment: a Masterpost

Hi if you’re here it’s because you’ve heard that tumblr user donottearmedown is an embarrassment and you’d like to know all the details! Let me break it down. It all started with this post by @minacarstairs (Tessa (yes @minacarstairs’s name is Tessa sorry if that makes this post confusing)), in which donottearmedown originally reached out to Tessa by sending her something along the lines of “Do you ship heronstairs/herongraystairs?” And Tessa replied with something along the lines of “Yeah lmao herongraystairs rights!”

(I wanna note that Tessa was being very polite, and continues to be very polite to people who disagree with her opinions on heronstairs/herongraystairs. She even began her original conversation with dont tear me down by saying it’s a matter of personal interpretation :) it’s donottearmedown who made the conversation mean-spirited)

(Also Tessa pls correct next if I’m wrong on any of this thnx)

And then sometime later, the conversation above ensues in which donottearmedown, seemingly perfectly reasonable at first, disagrees with the ship and offers a link to look at. (She throws this link around any chance she gets. She really fucking loves this link.) I got involved because in her answer, Tessa replies back with a link from a post I made from my own blog starting back in 2018, and then continued to add to it until my account got terminated (long story). You can read through both posts and check out all the replies! But basically we realized during this interaction that donottearmedown wasn’t looking to have a friendly conversation and was, in fact, batshit crazy. They were saying some absolute brain dead shit like that people shipping heronstairs is the same as people shipping Alec x Clary. Here’s the screenshot:

donottearmedown came back the next day to reply on several of Tessa and mine’s post which she wasn’t even tagged in, such as this one, and this one that had absolutely nothing to do with her because I make that same post every year. Here’s a screenshot from my old account last year via Instagram:

Racism by donottearmedown:

So, Tessa received this anon which tipped us off to some of the other tomfoolery on donottearmedown’s blog. We decided to look for ourselves and lo and behold, here’s the post of donottearmedown accusing Cassandra Clare of having a “Chinese kink” for writing Jessa:

Which, first of all, makes no sense because there’s like 2 Chinese characters in TSC total. If anything CC has a straight white boy kink lmao. But by saying this she was basically implying that the ONLY way Tessa (book!Tessa), or anybody who loves Jem, can love him is if they have a “Chinese kink”. Which donottearmedown can’t seem to be able to understand is an incredibly racist thing to say and think.

They also reblogged this BLM link and proceeded to tag it with absolute nonsense like “#smoke weed #lose weight #wessa”. I don’t know if her intentions were to mock the BLM movement but I still found this to be so incredibly disrespectful and tone deaf.

I also feel like I should mention this ask sent to Tessa in which donottearmedown implies she ~could be~ Asian, but it’s “none of her business anyways” (as if being Asian would absolve anyone of being racist akjsksjsj), but based on the fact that she has a track record of lying and pretending to be a person she’s not (as you will soon see :)) I call bullshit lmao:

I think that was the last of our interactions until today? Tessa and I were distracted because we have, you know, real lives.

But anyway, that brings us to today.

donottearmedown started replying to posts from mine and Tessa’s blogs which she wasn’t tagged in, again, and made several days ago. This one literally wasn’t even about her, it was about someone else that had engaged with one of Tessa’s posts. I made that post over a week ago and had already forgotten about it, but clearly donottearmedown never stops thinking about us 😳

NOW I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THIS POST SPECIFICALLY.

Why? Because donottearmedown and luciequeenofelfame (now luciehervndaie) interacted on this post, as 2 seperate entities. luciequeenofelfame had also interacted with Tessa and I’s original posts at the beginning of June (you can check the replies on the posts!) coming to donottearmedown’s defense, and praising her for her opinions and other shit like that.

Here’s the screenshot. As you can see here, luciehervndaie reblogs from donottearmedown and adds on to their opinion:

Now here’s the kicker: donottearmedown and luciehervndaie are the same person.

As in, this bitch literally made up a second blog so that she can pretend to be someone else agreeing with her own opinions and cheering herself on.

I made this post calling out donottearmedown on their racism. I didn’t bother tagging her in the original post because I knew she was stalking my blog and would see it eventually anyway. 😌 And they took the bait, as you can see.

AND THEN I got the notification that luciequeenofelfame had replied to my post. Here’s the reply:

Notice where luciequeenofelfame says “1. I didn’t delete it lmao”. She’s responding to my tags on this post where I’m calling out donottearmedown on her racist post, and my tags read:

“#the fact you went and deleted this post because you KNEW you were about to get slammed #comedy”

(context: @wilhelminacarstairs looked on donottearmedown’s blog recently looking for the post I screenshotted in the link above, and he couldn’t find it so I assumed she deleted it so that I wouldn’t call her out on it. Although she claims she didn’t delete it, so! Maybe it’s still up! Feel free to look for it and let me know lmao)

Now, in the tags I am obviously talking to donottearmedown, correct? So then why is luciequeenofelfame replying that she didn’t delete anything? 🤔 AND JUST AS IM ABOUT TO REPLY-

Wow, looks like I can’t reblog the post. Why? Because luciequeenofelfame has deleted it, and then IMMEDITALY changed her url to luciehvrondaie, hoping it would cover her tracks. Little does she know, tumblr notifications are forever:

As you can see, donottearmedown/luciequeenofelfame/luciehervndaie realized they made an oopsie, so she deleted her first response and posted it again from the blog she actually MEANT to post it from. Damn if only she knew that @minacarstairs @wilhelminacarstairs and I keep screenshots of e v e r y t h i n g :/ Then she might have gotten away with it! 😩

But yeah lmao here are the posts I made about it immeditaly afterwards calling her out on it because I thought it was funny: X X X X

She defends herself on some of them saying shit like “wow so I’m just making up blogs for support wessa? The majority of the fandom supports Wessa so I’m all of those blogs according to you? I’m thousands of people?!” Or just trying to change the topic back to heronstairs and ignoring the allegations altogether. Like, no luv we’re not saying you’re every single Wessa blog ever. We’re just saying you’re these 2, and we’re right lmao. If you look through both their blogs they also post about the same fandoms, and more damning, make a lot of the same spelling errors. Seriously their speech pattern is exactly the same. Feel free to look through them if you want, and if they don’t start mass-deleting post trying to cover their tracks.

I don’t know how true this is, but according to @fair-but-wilde-child on this ask, donottearmedown is ALSO the infamous twitter stan that complained to CC about TLH having too many gay characters.

he’d constantly talk about what she’d said earlier in class

or what she’d worn in her hair the day before

to the point where Remus had to cast a silencing charm on Sirius to keep him from ranting about how “love isn’t real, Prongs”

nor had he ever felt happier

Sirius refused to let him get away with it

every day he’d mutter rude remarks under his breath

earning a few glares from Remus

though he too had his weaknesses when it came to girls and boys

big, thin, blonds, brunettes, the occasional ginger (though never Lily),

it didn’t matter as long as their lips tasted sweet

they came in all shapes and sizes, and he utterly worshipped them

”why not use what nature has so generously given to me?” he often asked

and his friends all groaned in unison, though none seemed to disagree

Sirius always kept his intentions quite clear

he was not ready for anything even remotely serious

that didn’t stop him from having some fun however

he seemed to have quite a few talents for catching someone’s eye

and he knew better than most how handy the room of requirement could be to someone in need ;))

all in all, Sirius wasn’t a bad guy

he was a just a wild young man seeking adventure and enjoyable company

and sometimes, but only during the quietest of nights, he found himself looking over at Remus sprawled across his bed on the opposite side of the room

and just the sight of him sleeping made him smile

Remus

Remus often shook his head gently as Sirius told his tales of conquests past

laughing half-heartedly as Peter cheered him on and James reenacted some tasteless scenes from Sirius’ stories

Remus was the only one who’d never had his first kiss

it wasn’t that he didn’t want to

though if anyone were to ask, he’d just shrug it off and say it was a waste of time

the truth was he dreamed of it

but the opportunity had never presented itself

instead of dwelling on what hadn’t happened yet

he kept busy by thinking of what would eventually happen

he made little lists of things he’d do if he had someone the way James had Lily

how he’d always remind that person of his love for them

how he’d always hold their hand to remind them that he was there

how he’d ask them how they slept every morning

how he’d pay attention to them

how he’d remember everything they told him, even the things shared during lighthearted conversations about nothing in particular

Remus daydreamed a lot, so much in fact, his friends sometimes had to snap him out of it

they’d give him little pats against the back of the head

”earth to Moony”, he’d often hear, and he’d laugh gently, pushing their hands away

Remus was a kind and compassionate friend

always giving advice to Peter and encouraging James

but he too had a big heart, and he wanted more than anything to offer it to that special someone he always dreamed of

maybe someday he would find the courage to

Peter

Peter was a shy boy

he cheered his friends on while picturing himself holding a girl’s hand

it was a pretty picture

but it unfortunately wasn’t real

when he talked to girls, they usually giggled and walked away

laughing at his awkward gait and haircut

laughing about his ragged robes

Peter often laughed with them, trying to ignore the sting he felt every time

though one day, his luck changed

when Pepper Huckleberry, a stout Hufflepuff with a freckle-speckled face passed him by in a corridor and laughed

not at him, but at the joke he’d just told Sirius

Peter blushed a deep crimson

a girl had liked his joke

after multiple pep talks from his mates

”go for it, Wormtail”, “if you don’t do it, i will”

”Pads, shut it”

he finally did ask her out

and she planted a soft kiss on his cheek

which made him blush even more

none of the Marauders would’ve guessed it

but Peter was the first one with a date to the valentine’s day ball

he felt very dapper in his overgrown dress robes

Sirius wouldn’t stop giving him tips on how to get her up to the Gryffindor common room

and while Remus scolded the dark-haired casanova, James patted Peter’s back and muttered a few words of encouragement

Peter, who’d gotten so used to being overlooked, finally felt like things were starting to look up for him
