whenever i thought about "the lesson" chapter from "empire of the damned" by jay kristoff, i couldn't help but think about replacing nikita in the illustration with baptiste and changing the mood of the scene (iykyk)

like, Bon Orthwick did an incredible job on this piece but i just can't stand nikita 🥲

so with the use of my incredibly limited skills (i literally just copied what was already there) and with the help from my incredible friends @milagrosen and @littledragonkana it finally happened

obviously, it doesn't come close to the original illustration but at least the boys are happy together here, and that's all that matters
