the choreography of "you keep me hanging on" is a mashup of cheerios on the football field in their cheer outfits (reality) and the cheerios in skimpy football-inspired outfits, with football props on a stage (fantasy). the reality part not only conveys her real experience, but also the position she desires to keep.
her fantasy having the cheerios represent the football team in certain aspects makes sense with explicit canon - quinn doesn't want to give up finn and is hiding her impregnation by puck (that is the least negative way i can put that). however, the girls do not need to be dressed in such a sexualised manner for quinn's fantasy. this inclusion, while metatextually is probably some male gaze bullshit, i choose to interpret as quinn deeply suppressing her attraction to women (rachel). the cheerios in these cuts of the song are alluding to masculine stereotypes of football and working out, but they are wearing hot outfits because that is what makes them acceptable, and the only way is allowed to see girls Like That in her conservative household. interestingly, both of these aspects contrast with rachel, possibly because in her fantasies she doesn't like rachel and she's just romantic competition. this set of 13 episodes has a lot of tension (including romantic tension) between quinn and rachel, so i'm saying quinn's into rachel (and vice versa) But Denying It.
so yeah episode 7: quinn is having a clusterfuck of bi feelings which her pregnancy Is Not Helping
