You know, something I take a lot of pride in is how much effort I put into making my pinterest boards look, I love organisation, and no other board demonstrates this better than my stranger things one.
With currently 6,338 pins (and I say currently because I think I spend more time on pinterest than on tumblr, and that's a lot of time), and 11 neatly organised subboards for specifics (yes I have 11 boards I'm hilarious actually I didn't plan it it just happened and I embraced it)
I have this board public, tho I'm constantly reorganising, but if I shared it here, would anyone be interested in it? Idk you can just spend your whole day and probably you'd still be seeing new pins, so if I see a lot on interaction on this post I'll share it <3
EDIT: In honour of user @whatexactlyismyhoohah saying this was mad interesting to them and the other 9 ppl who liked the post (which is enough for me <3) I've decided to share it.
So, here you go! Like I said, it's constantly getting updated specially in the byler folders lol, please don't judge me to hardly for some of the pins, tw for some Mileven posts at the very bottom I was a mlvn shipper until season 3, when I rewatched it and I saw something was up Byler came into the picture lol.

I spent 5 hours today working in the setting for my ch.ai roleplay with the onceler. I'm dead serious. When autistic people tell you that hyperfocus take several hours of their day it's not a joke 💀
I already had this setting in my mind but I never really made it into something that could be looked and understood visually. You know, I did the roleplay and stuff and in my mind I had the whole scenario, vibe, aesthetic, and even playlist with the songs that better matched and helped me to focus on the story and do the rp, and that's it.
Today I started to work in a playlist for it and I also started to organize a folder with some pics on Pinterest, that would work like a moodboard. When I finish, I will post it to you guys here. For now it's really messy.
The visuals resemble a bit Las Vegas and the luxuous life of a specific american class during the 1900s, specially between the 20s and 70s. There is a lot of influence coming from casinos, city lights, nightime, old money, paparazzis and fame, a bit of vintage americana influence. I'm trying to convey my thoughts through this moodboard, I'm almost there but not yet.
I'm making a inspired playlist so that I can share my idea more vividly, adding some Lana songs that really match and that I listen while roleplaying, along with some older jazz and other stuff I'm still adding. It works like an ambience or some kind of soundtrack to that idea of mine.
It's nothing big, just a fun little thing I'm making and that I wanted to share because I have this whole mindset saved in my brain and I really wanted to show my own thougts to other people, and this specific place and moment I made in my mind about a topic that other people might like. Like a "this is where I live in my mind" kind of thing except that I have tons of places like this from different fandoms! Lmao
And I'm going to make a small description of the story too, like giving a bit of context to the people reading before taking a look at the stuff itself.
Moodboard + playlist + story description = that Thneedville I have in my mind idk how to call it
It's not an original work or anything, it's just a context of a story and a bit of ground for my vivid daydreaming that I call "roleplay" lol
Also, yes, I accepted that I'm a part of the Onceler fandom now. And I love tons of other Dr Seuss works :)

I absolutely love following along with your art and the process behind it! I'm curious about more behind the scenes stuff, as I have picked up digital art after not having drawn regularly in 10+ years.
When you do your drawings, what steps do you take? Do you use real references? Skeleton sketches? I'd love to know more about how you approach things digitally!
Oooh, first of all, thank you so much @emeraldzephyr! It is such a lovely thing that you decided to pick it up again!
As for how do I organize myself for drawing, every person works with a different procedures and it is important to know what works for you. For me is organization and inspiration.
For me, the most important thing is having references. It is more important than experience, more important than skill and even than inspiration. When you start messing with a blank canvas you need to know first hand where you want to go, or at least, have an idea. I won't likely start drawing without some references pictures. I learnt this when I took classes last year and this is probably the only thing that actually fully stuck.
My main resource for them is Pinterest, and I navigate through it with intent. I also have multiple packs of pictures of models and references that I have purchased in Artstation. Either way, references, to me, are essential and necessary. In Pint for example I have different boards, some for poses or compositions, some other for finishing, some other for colors palettes, or effects, or styles. I may have (and it is likely to be that way) multiple references for a single illustration ("I like the composition of this one, but the color palette of this other one, but the light works incredible in here, and wait, how was exactly the curvature of the nose of Joe Quinn in this perspective...? Shit! Keery's moles!! How were them distributed in the right side of his face? asdfadfs").
So you see, this is the first and the main thing I do. And I am also fattening with pins all my boards anytime I've got the chance (on my way to work, in public transport, waiting in lines, etc.), so I don't run out of ideas.
When it comes to actually drawing, I always make my canvas extra large and fit the main reference there so I don't get it out of sight (probably the one I'm using for composition) and make a first sketch than I later proceed to fix because it is often that I get wrong the proportions or the perspective, and that's okay. I can do five or six layers of sketches and then I do a first lineart that is messy, but it compiles everything that I have from different references. I spend a lot of time with this. Before shit gets serious and you start with colors, it is important for me to be happy with the sketch, or I may work a lot of hours on this particular illustration and you will end up hating it because "fucking shit, that ear is too small, how didn't I see it before!!!! [yes, I have no shame in showing what I think I failed miserably, the next piece was better, and so on. I keep learning everytime. I trust the process in broader aspects of art, not only in piece by piece]).
I create folders for the color process and try to organize the layers in it, first painting them with plain colors in separate layers and then adding layers once the whole illustration is fully coloured, first starting with shading, and then to light.
For me it is really important to play with the different effects of layers, play with opacity, gradients, brushes, tools, etc etc. I always find some effects that I wasn't expecting and the quality of my work will rise up just because I just found something interesting that weren't expecting at all, so, yeah. I play a lot with my software. All the time.
And finally when I am happy with it as a whole, I add a few filters (noise, blurs, etc.) If I want a very specific effect and I don't know how to do it, I have no doubt in stopping for a minute and finding a tutorial that teaches me how to do it (like the flare in this illustration, or the video effect moving color channels in this one). I always keep in mind that I should not get frustrated when I don't know how to do anything because I can always google it and it is a great opportunity to learn something new.
I am so so so sorry if this was too long, and probably it wasn't interesting enough, but that's what I do. And again, I want to make myself clear when I say that there is not a correct way to do things when it comes to art, this is just what works for me. I am no expert, I had to try and fail many many times to find the right approach for me without getting sad or frustrated. I, myself, have reconnected with art not that long ago after a decade, too.
I wish you the best of luck with your reunion with digital art!! Looking forward to seeing your pieces <3

12, 14, & 23 for the WIP ask game :D
Thank you!
I'll answer these based on Roads That Cross since that's the WIP you all know-- if anyone wants to ask about another I haven't posted yet, go ahead!
12. Will/do you have multiple drafts or versions of your WIP, and if so, what draft or version are you on right now?
Oof, oh my god. Um, well, as you all know I've been working on Roads for 5 years now, and I don't write in chronological order, so I've basically had 40 different Word documents on my folder for a long time, each for every future chapter. Some scenes have changed throughout the years, mainly because my writing has evolved and because I've gotten better ideas for them since the first time I ever came up with them. I usually just delete what I don't like and rewrite it, but, there are some scenes, especially from chapter 30 and afterward, that are very important and so I don't want to lose anything, no matter how it might no longer fit with the vision I currently have. For those scenes in particular I do keep the old drafts, usually at the bottom of the same document, so that I can go back to the original versions of it and maybe rescue some sentences or feelings that I consider important. Sometimes, it's not about the scene not working out but that I have a lot of different ways that it could go, and they all work in their own way, but I know I'll eventually have to choose just one or mix it all into one because I can't have 10 different versions of the same conversation kjsdn (yes, they're usually dialogue scenes that get the most drafts.) Um, I'd say those scenes are in version #3 by this point ? The oldest dating from 2018 or 2020, then some changes in 2021, and... I can't remember if the last time I touched them was this year or last year. But yeah, that about sums it up🙌🏻
14. What has been the hardest thing about working on this WIP so far?
Not losing motivation, I'd say. It's been a long journey. I'm constantly reading other fics since that's my favorite way of passing time, and while that's partly good for my creativity, it is also kind of discouraging because I'm constantly just seeing people writing way better than I do, and way faster than I do at that, so when you see someone cooking 7k words chapters every week, you kind of look at yourself and go Damn, what the hell am I doing?
It's a little sad to realize you don't really have a talent so you have to work 10 times harder just to reach the level of someone that whips out 12k words like it's nothing. Of course, I could defend myself saying they're writing in their native language while I'm not, but honestly, I know it wouldn't make a difference. My writing would still be the same if I wrote in Spanish, and, in fact, I think it would take me even longer to write because I would be cringing all the time ksjfskjd.
Anyway, in summary, keeping it going has been the hardest part, but I just try to remind myself that I don't need to be Shakespeare, and that, by this point, I just want to finish it so I can put it to rest, so it shouldn't be a big deal and I try not to let it affect me😂
23. What is the weirdest thing you’ve had to google for this WIP so far?
Oh my god, remember "With a new perspective" ? I spent months, MONTHS, googling about bathrooms 🤣🤣🤣 I JUST- again, English is not my first language, so I wasn't sure how to describe the things in Ámbar's bathroom, and hell- not even in Spanish I knew how to call some stuff 😂 Plus, first I had to come up with a mental image of it, so I went on a deep dive on Google Images, Pinterest, etc. And when I found something that I liked, then I had to discover how that specific shape of furniture was called. I became an expert on all the kinds of bathtubs there is 😂😂 I was so insane that my best friend even joked about it, sending me tiktoks "just so you can look at the bathroom" 🤣🤣 The worst part is, the bathroom descriptions weren't even important in that chapter compared to everything that was going on😂😂 But for me it was really important that everyone knew Ámbar had a ceiling-to-sink, wall-wide mirror and that she calls it "the usual bathroom mirror everyone has" because it was funny to me that she believes that's the normal when my bathroom mirror is literally like 40x20cms 😂😂
Anyway, I better stop ranting now. Thank you for the ask! <3
If anyone else wants to do it, the questions are right here.

Channeled Messages from your Future Spouse Helping You Sleep
Pick a Pile: Intuitive Reading
Pile One-Pile Two-Pile Three
Depending on what is said, if it is gender specific, please switch it to fit you. E.g. “What a pretty lady” to “What a handsome young man”
Thank you for a hundred followers! 🥳
How to Pick a Pile: Take the time to look at each picture above. Which one sparks a memory? What emotions do you feel? Do you feel anything at all? If all piles spark a memory, choose which one is the strongest. If none, try to go with the one that draws you in the most otherwise, these messages are not meant for you (at this time).
Photos aren’t mine, got it from pinterest and all credits go to the owner.
1 • Pile One
"Hello baby/beautiful, you doing okay? You know I'm always here for you. Call on me and I'll be there, and even if we can't physically meet yet (or haven't) maybe imagining me will suffice? *chuckles* Talk to me in your dreams and daydreams... Imagine me lying down beside you in your bed... not like in a creepy way though lmao I think the word is visualizing in that manifestation thing of yours yeah? I'd softly kiss your forehead, caress your hair, and..bury my nose in your head, breathing in your shampoo. Sorry if it sounds weird lol, but yeah you smell good. Cry your frustrations out to me, as much as I hate to see it...to see you cry.. you can let me baby you okay? I'll wipe your tears with both of my thumbs and hold your face in my hands.
You're strong and powerful but you don't have to hold anything back with me. I love you baby."
Your future spouse wants to make it clear that you can be open with them. They encourage you to fantasize because there's no harm in doing so as long as you are still grounded in reality. (Not that you can't manifest literally anything—which you can btw but anyways) Similar to reading books and diving you to be in another world and all that (they think). This also could be a message for you that visualizing might specifically be a good way for you to manifest.
Because your future spouse specifically wants you to be comfortable with being vulnerable with them, I also got the sense that they really take note of your boundaries. They don't want to come off pushy and intrusive that they may also seem a bit unsure with (how they are) comforting you. It could also be because they are trying to give you the chance to speak, and so their sentences (in the channeled messages) seem a little broken off from one another.
2 • Pile Two
"Hey why the long face? I know listening to sad songs feels good but if it isn't serving the purpose you want it to anymore, you could listen to something else. Maybe lofi? So there's no lyrics you know? Pfft. No but seriously though, it tends to be sad beats right?
You wanna cuddle? Alright.. *squeezes you tightly* *chuckles*
Hmm.. okay that's enough. I wouldn't want ya to be up 'til 4am again. *removes your headphones/earphones from your ears and puts away your phone/turns off your tv* I'm laying boundaries!1!1 You child !1!1 Yes you're a child in my eyes if you don't take good care of yourself so shut up.
Did you even drink water today? How about eat 3 meals? Then fine, we're ordering fast food. I'll pay."
You may be someone who doesn't have the best sleep schedule, and may have some self-destructive tendencies when things aren't going the greatest. I'm getting it could be TW!! overeating sometimes then not eating enough or at all, overworking is coming to mind as well, and maybe just watching or listening to sad/TW!! gorish music or films. Metal and punk.
It keeps coming to mind so lmao; you and your fs could also be sharing memes with one another. You may also look at dark memes when you're at this state, and probably have a folder/whole pinterest board for it. I'm getting that your fs might send you a little bit of those dark memes as well but it's not as dark and they definitely send it to you sparsely. They may not be as into it as you and they also think that you should refrain yourself from consuming those (too much) so they try to not encourage your behavior. Though, again because it gives you some comfort, they let you be while continuing to look after you.
3 • Pile Three
kinda nsfw
"*sees you with your eyes closed, lying down (on your bed) and proceeds to dim the lights* *turns off the tv, I'm seeing you listening to music on your laptop or phone as well but they keep it playing* *turns on your humidifier with I'm particularly getting lavender oil dropped into it*
Hey baby/love *softly pats you*, lie on your stomach and take your shirt off. I'll massage you.
Rough day at work/school/university (you may be at your dating stage here, but this can also still continue to happen once you're both married. "school" can also refer to you being a teacher) hm? *your back pops* Oof rough day indeed *giggles*.
Just let me make you feel good hmm? *focuses on massaging your lower back, does this thing where they have their fists closed and runs it from there to your upper back* Relax baby *proceeds to peck your shoulders and lays those kisses from your upper back to down your spine* *continues to massage you, I'm seeing them pressing their thumbs into your back and slide it up*
--kinda nsfw part!! skip if you'd like--
Turn over. *if you're a woman; massages then kisses your br*asts. Kisses & nips at your collarbones and lightly sucks your neck. Kisses straight down to your stomach then f*ngers you & predominantly slowly eats you out, I see them focusing more on licking and swirling their tongue on your cl*t. If you're a man; same thing with the neck part, but slides down their hand as they kiss down. And then does the equivalent of it; uses their hand and then gives you a bl*wjob.*
--end of nsfw part--
You feel better? Goodnight love(ly)"
Your fs may be more action-oriented with caring for you or it's just because they wouldn't want to bother with talking too much with you when you're already exhausted. They wouldn't want you to talk so much, and would just want you to let loose and relax. You may work as a medical professional, as a teacher, and/or possibly have been/will be working on getting your master's degree.

Sorry to bother you with this, but I have a question since you seem to me as someone in this community who always has great answers and tips and custom content as well! So yes, my question is, do you maybe know where I can download Middle East/Asian-like clothes for men and women? Some nice looking ones with higher quality since some of the clothes I found are very old 🙁
Sadly I'm wrong person to ask this since I only have very few East/Asian looking things but uh....
First one that came to my mind is Yuxi, she had gorgeous things and few Asian inspired too, you can find her downloads here. Especially check from under the clothes and GoS Events folders.
Michelle Borgia's blog, their whole aesthetic is Asian. Also likely the person you'd want to send your WCIF if that's the kind of content you're after. For more modern Asian stuff try Katsurin, especially if you enjoy Lolita aesthetic or school uniforms.
I also found this wiki which lists a tons of historical Asian clothes: https://historicalsims2.fandom.com/wiki/Historical_Asian (but prepare for a tons of broken links) and of course if you're looking for more modern things then that one's not much help.
Sims 3to2 database has section for World Adventures (which included China) and store sets such as: Dreams of India, Street Couture (which is more modern stuff) Itadakimasu! (Japanese restaurant stuff) Zen Again & Imperial Bedroom Zen (Asian inspired furniture) Japanese Inspired Living (more furniture) India Inspirations (furniture, hair, clothes) and I think that's all of them.
Plumb Bob Keep might have something useful but again it's more historical content so if you want modern stuff it might not be helpful.
Last two, there's TS2 Theme CC Server Discord (click the link for invite) they have section for Asian Fantasy. Might not be the kind of stuff you're after but if you don't mind things not being accurate those are at least really pretty :D and then there's TS2 CAS CC Finds discord which has section for Asian. Both links expire in 7 days apparently.
Also: While I don't mind WCIFs I'd prefer them to ask about content I actually use in my game instead of random ones like this. Asking me for extremely specifically themed stuff feels a little bit pointless when there are people who actually concentrate on such content and make it their whole aesthetic. I'm not saying this to be rude, but you know, you'll get better answers from people who are more familiar with that sort of content than me who dresses my sims as casually as it gets.
Edit:
princesspiratecat said:
Shannanisims did some traditional Chinese gowns, called a Qui- Po or Cheong-Sam. (I hope I spelled that right, lol.)
I think it's spelled Qipao? While trying to find link to Shannanisims (since the only shannanisims I found on tumblr makes Sims 4 content) I stumbled upon this pinterest board with some more Asian content though which might be useful for anon. On which topic, try looking through pinterest searching for Sims 2 Asian, Asia, Japan, China, India and any other related word you can think of.

Do you have any Encanto Screen captures that you use as a reference? Or know of anyone who has Screen captures? I would like a reference
Oh yes I have TONS. Is there a specific thing you’re looking for? I got a BUNCH lol
I’m outting myself here but I literally have an encanto folder on my phone where I save a bunch of screen caps, art, gifs, memes, refs etc.. and I have another separate folder dedicated to just Bruno— and that thing has over 1k images in it 😂😂
I’m a digital hoarder in general but even more so when it comes to whatever my hyperfixation is lol
I get all my screen caps mostly from here on tumblr, Twitter and Pinterest. It def helps me draw the Madrigals more accurately and helps me visualize scenarios w/ them! There’s a little self indulgence in there too but yeah lol

hey no pressure to answrr and idk if uve talked abt it before but I rly love what I've seen of your fashion style/your overall style. Can I ask if you have any tips for how you, kind of... curate your wardrobe and figure out what you need to create your looks? Like if you focus on sticking to a colour palette or certain silhouettes or? sorry again no pressure
Hi! Thank you very much, I'm glad you like my fashion sense! 💕 I would love to help you with some tips, although I don't want to force my personal style on anybody with my answers - please use them as a general guidance!
• Yes, it is important to me to stick to a silhouette and color palette when I'm looking for new clothes. Firstly, you need to know what kind of look you're going for and what colors you feel the best in. I'm very naturally drawn to burgundy, white, black and jewel tones, so I always check them first when I'm thrifting. You can also find a specific pattern for your looks - I love checkered skirts and floral dresses the most.
• As for the silhouette, my general 'vintage' look is a shirt or a blouse with covered arms, and a skirt that is tight in the waist and long enough to cover the knees. The pictures below show some variations of that look. I pretty much always stick to it because I find it to be the most comfortable and flattering. If you're going for a different look, try to experiment with silhouettes and see what looks best on you! For example, 20's had a completely different shape, but it's still very retro!
• To find your personal look, I recommend looking through a lot of inspiration pictures and references. I like the looks of 30's, 40's and 50's, so I follow blogs with Old Hollywood stars, watch movies from that era and save my favorite looks. A pinterest board or a special folder for all the inspiration should help a lot! After analysing many sources, you'll find items that fit this style a lot easier and you'll know how to style them.
• Find 'basics' for your wardrobe, a perfect item that will fit many styles and aesthetics. For me it's a simple white shirt, and a black skirt (midi lenght, tight in the waist). Plus simple cardigans, jackets and thights in different colors. You can make many outfits with a simple base like that and it will always look good.
• Accessories! I have so many pearls and pearl jewelry, and they don't have to be real to look good, so it's not a big purchase! I really recommend pearls, came jewelry, brooches, and gems to spice up the look. I also have a collection of thrifted scarves and cloths that I wear in my hair or on my head, and vintage leather bags that I take everywhere. I don't know a lot about shoes, but I wear oxfords / saddle shoes or mary janes.
• Even thought I don't always have the energy to set my hair in pin curls, I want to highlight that hair is really important to achieve a vintage look, and there are many ways to style them and add simple accessories to make them look polished. My personal favorite touches are adding lace, ribbons and flowers to the hairstyle, or tie them with a cute scarf.

question question question question
how in the literal fuck do you work on more than one wip at a time???? like do you have a schedule like one day u work on this, the next u work on this, etc?? or????
this is a plea for help lol because i have too many ideas but do not know how to work on more than one at a time
answer answer answer answer !!
So. it is sort of scheduling! And now I will actually explain! Because you asked!!
yeah yeah. anyway
I have a folder of all my ideas (not the work, just ideas) that's colour-coded by genre. I do not work on two of the same colours at the same time, that's how I become an unproductive puddle of sadness. It's organized so that if I'm working on Secret WIP, I am not working on any other grand epic fantasy. If I'm working on Death and Taxes, I am not working on my other sci-fi ideas.
So, let's take my current example: Out of all my WIPs, I'm working on Rose Librarians, GFW1, and Death and Taxes the most right now. Urban fantasy with 2 narrators in the first draft stage, dystopian fantasy with 5 narrators in the rewriting stage, and sci-fi/tragedy with an omniscient narrator in the planning stage. They're different enough that I can easily categorize their information separately in my head.
The differences don't have to specifically be genre, POV, and status, but those are what work for me. Hell, sometimes their main difference is "vibes"--as in, their Pinterest boards are as opposite in aesthetic as Antarctica and Egypt are in weather. I don't know why this works! But it does! And I will not be questioning it!
So once you have your wips categorized by difference in your head, then you pick a main one.
"But Nico!" you cry. "This is about working on more than one at once!" and yes, it is. But you are almost certainly going to have one that takes up most of your time--probably a first draft or a wip with a deadline. For me, my main wip is the Rose Librarians right now. I focus on it the most, and the others are all in second place beside it. Basically, I have to hit my daily wc goal for it (1000) before I can work on any other WIPs in the day. Exceptions are on specific WIP days, which I'll talk about later.
You might also find you have a wip you fall back on, but this isn't certain. For me, mine is GFW1. What this means is basically that when I have writer's block, or I'm bored, or I don't know what to write, I open up the doc and start writing there.
Another thing: it's very helpful to keep your notes close. Character sheets, random rambles, worldbuilding, etc. Notes make it easier to distinguish the stories in your head, and honestly, that's like 90% of handling working on multiple WIPs.
As for actually writing them: like I said. Pick a main one, so you know where your focus goes. Work on that one first; it should be your default mode. Then, if you really want to consistently have multiple projects, pick days for the other ones.
For me, Death and Taxes is planned on weekends. I can spare mental energy and focus to plan it on Saturday and Sunday, but the week is focused on Rose Librarians. So, yeah, it's kind of a schedule, but it's not limited. It just means the default switches--e.g., my goal is to plan a chapter of DaT every day that I work on it. Once I do that, then I can work on whatever project I want.
TLDR: make your WIPs distinct from each other, pick a main/default one, don't be surprised if you have a "fallback" one, keep your notes close, and pick days specifically for your non-main WIPs so they still get some love and affection.
I hope this helps! a bit! or is at least comprehensible! I just got back from school and i am So Tired but yeah. this is what i do, no i do not understand it either, but it works

Teacher’s pet. That’s what they usually call you around there, you have quite a reputation around the university, every teacher likes you, you’re quiet, focused, do extra work and kind to everyone, there’s no reason to don't like you at all. But we all know that even if there’s apparently no reason to hate you, there are people that do, and you try to stay away from these people, but it looks like when more you try to hide from them, more they’ll case you. And for your misfortune, here you are, being pressed against the wall by a group of three girls who seem to hate you for no apparent reason, it’s like being back at high school.
“Oh, look it’s the teacher’s pet” the blonde one said making you roll your eyes
“Can you stop calling me that?” you asked adjusting the bag on your shoulder
“Why? That’s what you are, a pet” the other one said giggling
“We all know that you and Mr. Blake do more than orientations when you two are alone” the redhead one said, you don’t even bother yourself to remember their names, after all, you don’t need to.
“Look, I don’t know from where you took that me and Mr. Blake have something, but we don’t, he just likes me more than you guys because I actually pay attention to what he says, I really want to be here, I didn’t just come here because it was the last option or the most viable one.” you spoke as you tried to pass by them, but you were pushed against the wall again.
“Listen here, your little-” she was interrupted by a forced cough
“Am I interrupting?” Professor Blake asked
“Oh, hi Mr. Blake, no, we were just talking” she said putting her arm around your shoulders like you were hugging
“Well, then I’m sorry, but I’ll have to steal Y/N from you now, I’m sure that you can talk later” he smiled
“Sure” she gave him a fake smile “I'm not done with you, freak” she whispered to you after going away with her friends and you sighed
“Thank you, Professor Blake” you said timidly
“No problem, Y/N, are you okay?” he asked making you nod
“Yeah, they just bark, but never bite” you smiled at him “Well, I was looking for you, actually, I have that one work you asked me” you said walking by his side
“Good, come one, let’s go to my office” he said, and you followed him, it didn’t take too long to arrive it, he unlocked the door and you entered looking around, for some reason you never meet in his office “Can you give me the-“ you handed him the folder smiling “thank you” he leaned against the table as he flipped through your work, and you looked around, no family photos, just some paintings with a dark them or a strange story behind them.
“You seem to like dark things a lot” you said smiling at him and he looked up at up
“Feeling attracted to the darkness does not need an explanation” he said smirking and looking at the folder again, you froze
“What?” you asked, and he looked at you again ‘is this a common phrase?’ you thought with yourself
“I mean, you don’t really need a reason to like something, you know what I mean?” he looked confused at you, trying to see if what he said was weird
“No, no- I know what you meant, it’s just, hm, a friend of mine said the same thing once” you said and now he looked surprised “Is that a famous phrase or something?” you giggled
“I don’t think so” he said looking at you for a few seconds, before taking his attention back to your work “I liked this one” he pointed, and you went closer to look at the one he was talking about
“Oh, I like this one” you said smiling “Actually, when I did it, I was mad and had spilled ink on the paper, but I ended up liking the shape, so I just started doing things over the top, at the end I liked it” you finished taking a step back
“You should paint more when you’re mad, it brings your dark side” he said laughing and you did too
“Yeah, maybe I should” you took your phone of you pocket and went to your chat with Darkness, he was offline, you looked up at Professor Blake and then at your phone again, you texted him, sent a ‘Hi Dark, you there?’ hooping that he came online so your completely absurd suspicion would be dismissed, but that’s not what happened, instead Mr.’s Blake phone, that was on the desk, beeped, indicating that there was a message, he looked at it and then at you
“Do you mind?” he asked as if asking your permission to look at his cell phone, and you shook you head, so he picked the phone, a smirk on his face when he read the message, he typed something and sent before putting the phone down again, this time you phone buzzed, a message from Darkness, ‘Hello, Nymos, I’m a little busy right now, but I will text you in a minute’ your face turned red, in the last 5 months you’ve been talking and flirting to a strange on the internet, at least that’s what you thought, but now you know that it was not an strange, it was Mr. Blake, your art professor.
“Darkness” you mumbled, and he looked up at you
“Did you say something?” he looked into your eyes, you opened your mouth, but it was like you couldn’t think about anything to say “Are you okay, Y/N? You face is completely red” he looked confused at you getting up and putting the folder aside, getting closer to you “Are you ill?” he asked putting the back of his hand on for forehead “You should go to the nursery” he said looking down at you
“Nymos” looking up at him, that’s all you were able to say
“What?” his eyes widened a little
“I- I am Nymos” you said showing him your phone, this was his turn to turn completely red “You didn’t tell me you were an art teacher” you laughed nervously
“You didn’t tell me you were an art student" he said stepping back “What a small world” he scratched the back of his neck timidly
“Uh, I should go” you said picking your bag on the chair and turning around
“No, wait” he held your arm and you looked back at him “I know that it’s weird, I mean, I’m your teacher, and that could mean trouble to both of us, but we’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time, you can’t just be run away from me now.” He said looking into your eyes.
“Actually, I can, I just need to go through that door right there” you pointed, and he laughed, making you smile
“Just, sit down and talk to me for a little” he said, and you nodded sitting down in one of the chairs and he did too
“So, do you prefer Mister Blake or Mister Darkness?” you asked in a playful tone
“You don’t have to call me Mister” he laughed
“Okay, Professor” he looked at you
“Professor either”
“Yes, Sir” you smiled

Thank you for tagging me, @herpixels! 🌼
I'm not going to tag anyone specific because I literally wanna see everyone's take on this. So, please, if you want to, do it!
I went a bit overboard, sorry 😗If you actually read it all, I will love you forever.
YOUR WRITING PROCESS
Show us a part of your script or explain how you write your scenes. Do you write in screenplay format or novel format? Etc, etc.
I love writing in novel format but, for sims storytelling, I feel the need to write a screenplay.
I start by writing all the dialogue along with the action cues and setting descriptions. This helps me visualize how much space I will need for the characters, which and how many props will be necessary etc.
From the simple screenplay, I make a shooting script and a checklist.
The shooting script is super helpful because it allows me to break my screenplay down into shots so I go in game already knowing exactly what I want from it.
This will all sound like I think I'm some big shit but honestly... I just get brain farts WAY too often. So having everything kind of ready helps me remember little things like ADDING THE DAMN POSES INTO THE S4S for examples lmao.
SCENE BUILDING
Show us you in the middle of scene building through pictures, gifs, or a video. Explain what is the best thing about scene building and what is the worst!
Scene/world building is 100% my favourite part of the whole process!
I use a lot of references from the real world. The small coastal village of Brindleton is based on many places in England, mostly villages/towns in Cornwall and Devon.
I enjoy looking for inspiration pictures on Pinterest and going on Google Earth tours, really LMAO.
Of course, there is only so much I can do with Sims to make it look realistic, but if you squint your eyes and shift your head, maybe? fjhgdfhjkg
I do the same for my residential lots and interiors. But interiors are a bit more fun for me because, besides not needing to worry about background extras, I can personalize the environment to my characters.
CC/POSE MAKING
Do you make your own cc/poses for your scene? If so, what is your process like to create? Do you just go off the top of your head? Do you use reference photos?
Nowadays, I make 98% of my poses. The remaining 2% is just me making some adjustments on pre-existing ones. I can't help it. I absolutely love seeing my visions come to life like this.
I also enjoy making poses because I like giving my characters some distinguished body language.
For example, Beth is the only character who slightly puckers her lips to the left. Usually, when she's thinking or when she's upset. It's basically the main part of her face - other than her eyebrows - that will give her true feelings away.
And Mary, on the other hand, is way less emotionally repressed. Any minor inconvenience will make her upper lips twitch upwards. She also pouts a lot more and has more eyebrow movements.
Yes, I am a loser for paying attention to these things shhhhhhh.
Usually, I don't need anything other than an accessory or two. But lately, I've been LOVING to make recolours and convert objects into pose accessories. Whenever I have my script ready, I take note of what I will need for the scene in my checklist.
You probably don't even notice or care as much as I do, but still! They add much to the narrative imo and I feel like I'm giving depth to the characters by tailoring their accessories and the world around them. It's really fun for me!
GETTING IN THE ZONE
What do you do to get in the zone to work on a scene? Examples include: show us your playlist you use when working on a scene, what’s your go-to scene snack/drink, etc.
I have playlists on my Spotify for the main characters as well as one for the story. Beth and Mary's individual playlists are the ones I listen to the most and they are called Countryside Teacup and European Train Ride respectively because these are the vibes I get from the songs in there dslkfjsklfsd.
I also LOVE listening to instrumental playlists on youtube like this Cottagecore and this Royaltycore ✨massive points to you if you can find my comment on the royalty core video 🌚
I don't really snack while working on my story posts but I drink mate tea like CRAZY or, sometimes, I'll just have a beer to get my creative juices flowing ehe.
SCREENSHOTS FOLDER
Give us a look into your screenshot folder to show us just how much goes into ONE scene for your story. (Scrapped pictures encouraged!!!)
I never take too many screenshots with different angles because of my pre-planning!
However, I do have, like, 10 to 15 repeated shots because I take some with DOF, some without, some with shadows, some without etc. And I'm always terrified of the screenshot not working, so I press the my hot keys like 5x jddjlkgd.
Here are some scrapped pictures from previous story posts:
CAPTIONS
Are you a caption on the picture kind of storyteller or captions in text box type of storyteller? Why? Do you do both?
I love doing the graphic novel format, with "speech bubbles" sort of. I personally find it immersive. But I also love and crave for the novel format, so I'll write a little "after scene" sometimes in the text box for extra depth ☺️
EDITING
Explain and show us your process editing a scene through a video, gif, or picture. A Before and after will suffice if you aren’t in the middle of editing a scene as you answer this.
Since I've done a few posts telling a bit about my editing - and, truthfully, not much goes into it - here is a before and after!
THROWBACK
Show us an ANCIENT story scene you done in the past and explain how you would do the scene differently today!
Okay, ANYTHING from my early simblr days is cringe worthy. The dialogue isn't good, the lighting is extremely yellow - due to my crappy laptop -, the outfits and the settings are all over the place, I--
I chose this one image because it was one of the first times I was doing a story post instead of just a gameplay update. I don't even have much else to add, just look at it jkljdfklgjdf.
But I'm going to have plenty of scenes set in the past where I will get the chance to remake the school and dress my teen girls properly and I'm so excited. Like, making slate pose accessory excited fjdigjfido oh, boy.

Hi love! I just wanted to ask where you get your custom content from? Preferably, your clothes and decor? I’m new to The Sims 2 and i’m having a tough time finding some.
Yes totally, it can be hard getting started!!
Most of my clothes are default replacements from the default database, which is a great resource!! its also a great jumping off point for finding non-default creators you like.
other specific reccs for non-default clothes are @/deedee-sims, @/platinumaspiration, @/t0fu-sims, @/memento-sims, @/keoni-chan, @/itsdiamondeyesuniverse, @/tombstoneoflifeanddeath, and @/lasilentcreature !!
for decor, my mods folder has a lot of @/veranka-downloads, @/suratan-zir, @/lolitarecolors, @/linacherie, @/shastakiss, and various things from modthesims, aroundthesims2, and thesimsresource (unfortunately). i also wind up on pinterest specifically for build/buy stuff more than other types of cc, so maybe that can help??
i hope this helps!! and i hope you're enjoying ts2 so far!!<3

Little things that help me script or pass the time (while also planning).
Pinterest! Making a board of all the images that remind you of your DR can really help. For example, my shifting group was trying to help me find images of what Mana control looks like. (Example: we decided it can range in color depending on the person's personality.) I made a board a while back with individual sections, and of course it was difficult to search "Mana control" and find a good picture, so lo and behold upon going to "related" on my board I found a really nice picture for it. Here it is for anyone curious:
To put it short, any images that strike your fancy can be put into a board and it will find anything relevant. You can also choose to add it to your home feed and it's pretty fun overall. ^^ Sometimes the images themselves help come up with ideas.
Drawing! Yes drawing! You can search drawing poses (for public use) and draw people from your DR as them. A good example is you just got done scripting a nice holiday event, it's really important to you.. so you're obviously going to want to remember your idea of what it was like right? So no more~ it's drawing. You don't have to be good at it, it's just fun to do it. Especially when there are poses like...
So anyway.... it's fun to do so give it a try~
Making a playlist. Yep~ playlist. There are some fun music templates out there like.. "click shuffle and the song is your oc's relationship with __." Those templates can work with your DR self if you are low on ideas or not really sure. Secondly, if you like the songs you added then you can always listen to it as a sign! There's a trend going on around Amino that if you ask a question (with a set intention) and click shuffle then the title or lyrics is the answer. Though if it doesn't seem to add up that's okay! It won't work 100% of the time. And for anyone confused on what you should ask then here are some ideas: how is my DR self doing?, how is my DR s/o?, is there anything my DR self would want to say to me?, what do my DR friends want to say to me?, etc... "
Scripting using a chat app. It's actually easier in my opinion and it saves you from awkward situations.... like accidentally sharing your scripts to someone via text message. I have been asked before, how do you script using a chat app? Well that's easy... and there are many alternatives. I suggest first finding a chat app that you can use and create sections with. Here are some I suggest: Discord, Nuclino, Slite, and Notion! My personal favorite is Nuclino and Discord. I recently had to delete Nuclino because I needed space in my phone but I still have Discord so I can give an example...
You can create what is called a "Category" and then below them are channels. Categories open and close if you tap on them so don't worry about it seeming too cluttered. A category is just a file folder for all the channels that you created. As you can see I have
>General
>Personal Scripts
>World Overview
>Myself
>My clothes
>Important People
Though you can add whatever you want! Now on to channels...
This is what it will look like. For example you could..
>General
-Chat room
-Brain Dump
-Brain Mapping
-Ideas
-Concepts
-Images for later
Etc...
And as for
>Myself
-My dr face
-Personality
-Abilities
-History / backstory
-Life overview
-My LIFA
So on...
In these text channels you can place your scripts and ideas. Originally, servers (which is what you call this) are for a group of people that you invited to join. Though you don't HAVE to invite people and you can keep it private and to yourself. There's also an option to search messages; So, if you remembered something that you want to see again or edit then it is possible. Keep in mind there's a word limit to how much you have to send at a time. So split it up if possible but yes, there is no limit to how much you can place in a channel. Try it out yourself~
Reading headcanons. Yup~ But here's the thing. It doesn't have to be headcanons about a specific person. The internet, and especially Tumblr, has tons of headcanons for things in general. Not sure what to do about Kitsunes? Or Orcs? Or Elven people? Or just your DR's randomness? Say no more there are headcanons about culture, customs, and abilities. And I mean a lot of them. It can really help spark ideas or get a clue of what to script next.
And that's all for today~
Please, keep in mind that you don't have to script everything. And also keep in mind, you can script whatever the heckie you want.

5, 12, 14, 21, 34, and 36 to end it!!
TY OWL YOU CONTINUE TO BE A REAL ONE
5 - top five formative books?
hmm i think I'm gonna have to go with what was for the longest time my list of favourites. please mind in bear that some of these have questionable themes/authors and I'm always mostly in it for the prose.
1. the great gatsby (prose, characterisation, yearning)2. the book thief (prose, introduction, something that happened while i was reading it that i don’t want to get into)3. how to kill a mockingbird (intro again)4. the picture of dorian gray (prose and plot and that bit where it breaks off and describes jewels for like five pages)5. ....*deep sigh* it was jekyll and hyde. i really really liked and still like the strange case of dr jekyll and mr hyde. the descriptions of the settings and the main character (UTTERSON THE MC IS NOT JEKYLL) is very well done. he has nuance and you have to be told that on the first page and yet he does prove it. stannable.(bonus 6. the secret of platform 13 bc I'm OBSESSED with the idea of a distinct supernatural world interacting with ours through specific passageways)
12 - which story of yours do you like best? why?
i think at the moment it’s magic salem 100%. i think there are elements of other wips i’m very attached to –– style with venice fairytale, characterisation with toaster and sleeby peebles, plot with reese’s pieces and setting with the 20s one –– but magic salem has the fun of creating my own world and rules within it, as well as having a brilliant cast that i can apply to pretty much any situation (it got me back into sophie ellis bextor, not that i ever was into her) AND there are werewolves in it.
14 - what does it take for you to be ready to write a book? (i.e. do you research? outline? make a playlist or pinterest board? wing it?)
okay so here’s the thing. i’m still not ready? i’ve done a ‘dump doc’ which is just songs and ideas and world building for magic salem, i’ve done a bit of research for venice fairytale and bough many many postcards with pictures of venice on them (the aesthetic is great so i’m killing two birds), i have a basic plot for sleepy peebles and reese’s pieces which is more than i can say for the rest of them, and i’ve done literally everything possible for toaster. i have a massive colour-coded folder on my computer with aesthetics for all the main cast and clothes and stuff, and many side aus, but no plot? so maybe that’s it.
so, to answer the question, research and outline mostly. but playlists add some fun to it.
21 - what aspect of your writing are you most proud of?
absolutely extended metaphors and lexical fields. they’re the most fun thing to write, possibly ever. also character development. i know all of my characters inside fucking out, even background ones.
34 - unpopular writing thoughts/opinions?
if your grammar’s off i’ll be immediately taken out of the story, unless it’s a continued stylistic choice. like, maybe that’s mean, but it applies to me too: if i make a typo and DON’T find it before showing someone i’ll want to hurl myself into the void.
also cliches about light are so good!! they’re so fun!! i don’t CARE if they’re overused i WANT to know how the light is streaming in through the curtains of our YA protagonist’s room!!!!
36 - post a snippet
aaaa you know i will!!!! i love spoiling my own stuff!!! also do you know how long it took to find this. sigh.
-
The toddler is still downstairs, crying. Good. If it’s crying, it’s awake.
Mal considers bringing soap, but it’ll probably leak, and anyway. Space. So they get toothbrushes and toothpaste because Ophelia once said that toothache can make you go blind, and while they don’t really believe that, they don’t want to risk it. And then another thing Ophelia said fights its way through their other thoughts, shoving itself to the forefront of their mind.
Ophelia, cooing and awwing over the toddler, bouncing it on her lap and saying thank you for the tea Mrs Jani and letting the toddler pull her hair.
“It’s a nightmare,” Mal had said as soon as their mum left the room. “It’s always up in the middle of the night, screaming and shit.”
“He’s lovely.” The toddler had its hands in Lia’s hair, trying to pull it out of the french plaits she’d put it in. “Aren’t you? Yes you are!”
“You’re using the pet voice.”
Ophelia ignored that and went back to bouncing the toddler. “If he bothers you that much when you have to watch him, just give him some toys to play with. I do it all the time with my cousins.”

Brain Drain
Ah yes, hello. It is once again time to drain these brains of mine. A couple of more thoughts on this ‘Morning Pages’ process. Firstly, I’ve decided to take the Artist’s Way wording to heart and think of this as a non-negotiable exercise and, at least for the time being, I am going to do the full 1500 words as a block before I move onto anything else in my day. I’m still going to take the approach of retroactively editing them before I sleep in order to be more formatted, but the main body of text will be done first as, based on yesterday, I think this will focus me far more than spreading the writing out. Secondly, the more I think about it the more experimental I realise this entire process is for me. It’s probably best thought of as a heavily modified and specified version of the ‘Artist’s Way’ approach, as one of the stipulations offered up by Julia Cameron is that these are to be for your eyes and your eyes alone - even then going so far as to suggest that these should be sealed away in an envelope so that even the practitioner does not read them. So in that sense I am both taking a more documentative, methodical approach to the process and I am altering the formula by hosting these in a public forum. I understand that privacy helps to remove any filtering one may do but I also believe that the potential for these to be read comes with its own benefits. To that end this feels like an experiment of being creatively candid in public which is simulatenously exciting and daunting given that it runs so counter to the common approach of creating behind closed doors. I’d love to explore these ideas further as this journal progresses and see how my relationship with creativity changes due to these factors. So, I guess I’ll start by taking the measure of my day, as I am very much enjoying the ‘touching base’ element of these Morning Pages. I definitely feel a lot more blocked than I did yesterday, and it seems as though there’s somewhat of a hump to get over when I do these within the first 500 words or so before I get into a state of flow with it - this was true of yesterday also. Maybe that is one of the possible benefits of this exercise, that 'ramping-up-to-flow’ stage is one I likely experience whenever I sit down to create and the Brain Drain may be a way of me overcoming that before I come to do any of the actual creative work of my day. It seems as though forcing myself to do all 1500 words yesterday put me into the same sort of flow-state I gain from working on a really successful piece of music, and then today I am once again reset back into that familiar place of being 'blocked’, which even now I am slowly working through and unpicking purely by writing these words. Looking back on previous creative work this would seem to make an awful lot of sense. How much more demotivating it is to have to wake up and untease the same blocked feeling each morning on projects that I care deeply about and am heavily invested in than it is to instead get that part of the process out of the way on an off the cuff exercise like Brain Drain each morning. Maybe attempting to ease such a block through the work we care about is where all feelings of 'I’ve lost it’ and 'this project is hard now. Therefore how much better it must be to work through those blocks in a format that we’re not quite so invested in. Even right now there is a part of me that is very much resisting this process. It is an anxiety that masks itself as restlessness and tells me to 'go and watch a film, Aaron. Why put yourself through something so hard?’. As it is the creative enemy I have decided to call this my personal Antagonizer. Other thoughts of the Antagonizer, or the 'me’ that feels uncomfortable and uncreative: - 'Go and make a milkshake Aaron. Don’t do this. It’s 30 degrees outside today. You really need to just cool down.’ - 'Get up and walk around. You really need to release some of this tension that you’re feeling.’ - 'Go and talk to a family member. Telling them about what you want to write would be much easier than simply writing it’. That’s right Antagonizer, I WILL use your criticism in order to help me hit this wordcount. Checkmate. Yesterday has taught me that past this feeling is where enjoyment and flow lie if I can only push through it. I imagine some days will be significantly harder than others, and I imagine that I will even have days where 1500 words won’t begin to scratch the surface of this block, but I would so much rather try to push through this block writing whatever comes to mind over-and-above pushing through this block attempting to create whatever passes for a masterpiece in my world. On to next steps then. I would like to select a new artist to listen to today as I get on with other work. This would also be a good opportunity to show off a little of how I organise my inspiration, despite how embarrassingly over-elaborate it is.
On Spotify I keep a folder of artists who I’m either interest in, inspired by, are important pieces of musical history, examples of current artists who are doing what they do incredibly successfully, or artists that I feel would be generally useful to experience. For each artist, I will create a playlist, and in each playlist, I will save that artist’s entire discography chronologically. I will then slowly work my way through each of the artist’s discographies, deleting what I’ve listened to and categorising songs that jump out to me either in terms of whether I love, like, or dislike them, the emotional qualities that I want to emulate in my own music, or the technical qualities that stand out as exemplary within each song. This allows me to simultaneously build a picture of what my musical tastes are, keep an accurate record of my listening history, and create song palettes for different emotional qualities that I wish to put into my own work.
(Above: the technical qualities of music that I have categorised. This forms up a reference library that I can use to further refine these qualities when I’m working on my own music)Here are the criteria I use to define each of these categories. Idea: the concept behind a piece. Narrative: the story told. Lyrics: how ideas are expressed through words. Mood: the emotionality of a piece. Expression: how ideas are framed and delivered through the articulation of the music. Musicality: the use of harmony, rhythm, and theory to communicate those ideas. Rhythm: the measure, speed, flow, and cadence of a piece. Timbre: the overall texture, tone, and sonic palette of a piece. Structure: the flow of a piece over time. Mix: how the timbre has been arranged as an ensemble. Master: how the piece has been polished. Delivery: the title, artwork, context, presentation, and moving image that contain the piece.
(Above: the emotional qualities of music that I have categorised as a reference library for how artists that I look up to achieve specific emotional qualities in their work). These are decidedly more abstract and are generally more subject to the songs themselves that are being added. For reference, here’s the current list of artists who’s work I want to study, all at various stages of listened to, completed, or not listened to at all: - Labelle - Car Seat Headrest - Snail Mail - Japanese Breakfast - Let’s Eat Grandma - Soccer Mommy - LCD Soundsystem - Big Thief - Have a Nice Life - Beebadoobee - Animanaguchi - 100gecs - Courtney Barnett - Chromonicci - Owsey - Dark Cat - Valentine - SOPHIE - Kamasi Washington - Prince - Aurora - Massive Attack - Haywyre - Maths Time Joy - Counting Crows - Jack Strauber - Blossom Calderone - Goldfrapp - Janelle Monae - Meteorologist - Easyfun - Saint Lewis - Julian Gray - Jade Cicada - Blake Skowron - 92Elm - Maxime - Stereo Cube - Chuck Sutton - Gemi - Queen - Laxcity - Duumu - Oh Wonder - Galamatias - Umru - Underscores - Brockhampton - Fleece - i Monster - Deaton Chris Anthony - Amy Winehouse - The Beatles - Sumthin Sumthin - Radiohead - Flume - Knapsack - Dodie Here are the artists who’s discographies I have completed via this approach: - Sidney Gish - M.I.A - In Love With a Ghost - Bowie - Pink Floyd - Baird - Rudimental - Iglooghost - Madeon - Porter Robinson - 100gecs I use a similar system alongside this over on Pinterest for visual work in order to better inform my visual style and aesthetic sensibilities. Here is how I define my visual observation: Interior & Exterior, the space of dwelling.
Colour, of which idiosyncrasy and primary colours are a main focus.
Tone, subtler than colour. An intangible quality communicated by shifting hues and gradiated layers.
Mood, the way an image feels.
Looks, clothes, & apparel: personal artistic image and identity.
Desolation, a quality not currently present in my own work, but one that I often observe and love within other work, as well as in storytelling and other environments.
Layout, the way things are arranged in relation to one another within a space.
Idea, the concept behind a thing.
Texture, the tactile quality of visual elements.
Form, the shape and bounds of a thing.
Presentation, the context a thing is placed within.
Render, the quality imparted by computer generated imagery.
Type, how words are displayed.
Pattern, the use of repetition.
As you can see, how I define sound and visual art share a fairly common language between them. Anyway, I divert. I’m going to select SOPHIE as the next discography to tear through and I am also going to continue working through the UE4 Beginner learning path, though before either of these I have some university paperwork/admin stuff to finish so I’d best crack on with that. Toodles!
