Last time this went around I shared my earliest published screenshot. I've been on a digital cleaning spree that definitely has nothing to do with this post and actually found 4 whole screenshots from my Not So Berry save, dating all the way back to June 2017. An entire first generation lifespan, and this is the only moment I deemed worth capturing. 😁

I actually got in the habit of taking screenshots of my gameplay over the course of this challenge, and made it all the way to gen 9 before abandoning it to start my New Sixam save just before I started simblr in June 2018.

9 generations in 1 year. Playing probably once or twice a week at most in those days! This stuff sure goes by a lot faster when you aren't documenting every minute of it. 🤪 But where's the fun in that?

Here's a somewhat visually similar screenshot (y'know, doors, symmetry, perspective) from the next rotation of my BACC. As to what Octavia is doing in the train depot control tower, well... 👀 We'll just have to wait and see, I guess!

Ben Campbell: A newer addition to the San Myshuno political scene. He’s young and bringing new ideals (along with all that stereotypical stuff) to the landscape. While he has garnered a lot of support for the upcoming mayoral election against Victor Feng, he’s also garnered a lot of attention from the media (which does make sense). With practically every move of his being watched and the upcoming election at stake, he should probably be very careful.

I watched this YouTube shorts video which has over 100k likes on it where it basically went "oh the Splatoon fandom is weirdddddd!!! It has weird porn in it guys!!! Isn't that crazy?!?! It's so toxic guys!!! They found ways to weaponise racism guys!! They are so vile about splatfests guys!!!! They are gooning to splatoon characters!!! They are kids!!"

I hate to break it to you dude but.... that's literally every fanbase in existence.

Every single fandom on planet earth has weird porn in it. Splatoon is no different. Is it fucking weird to goon over the player Inklings and Octolings as they are confirmed to be under 18? YES! VERY VERY WEIRD AND THAT BEHAVIOUR NEEDS TO GET CALLED OUT!!!!!! But a large majority of fans who engage in NSFW content are looking at the Idols and other adult characters, not the literal teenagers. Plus adult Inkling and Octoling ocs do exist, i should know BECAUSE I MADE MY OWN!!!!!

Also do not judge people's fetishes unless it's actively harming someone or it's illegal. That's wrong on so many levels. Stop making people feel guilty about what they are into man. If someone wants to make an NSFW art piece with Marie's feet then I'm not gonna judge them publicly for it. That's straight up rude and the guy in the video was basically doing that by showing some stolen fetishy art and adding an "eww" audio clip on it... Fuck off dude. Leave them alone.

He also got the release year of Splatoon wrong by saying 2013 instead of 2015.... Not the worst mistake but still... Kinda paints a picture on how much he truly cares about this franchise you know?

One of his points can be boiled down to "they are using splatfests as a way to weaponize racism." What the FUCK are you talking about? The last time i remember a Splatfest being toxic was in Splatoon 1 with CALLIE VS MARIE! THAT WAS REALLLLLLLL BAD! Other than that it's been friendly jokes and little jabs at the enemy teams. He fucking used this terrible video as a way to demonstrate his point too....

Every Splatoon fan on the planet doesn't like that video, It just comes off to me as so disingenuous.

Also fun fact! SPLATOON 1 TO 3 HAD UNDERLYING THEMES ABOUT RACISM WITH THE INKLINGS AND OCTOLINGS!!!!!! Splatoon 1 was about the introduction of that idea and it was very black and white with hints of grayness found in the sunken scrolls. Splatoon 2 was about making it more gray as Callie joined the Octarians and THE ENTIRETY OF OCTO EXPANSION!!!!!!!!!!! Splatoon 3 was the conclusion to that theme with DJ Octavio helping out the NSBS and Octolings co-existing with Inklings peacefully. But did he bring that up? NOPE!!!!!!!

Trying to paint the Splatoon fandom as some "toxic trojan horse" is just... fucking wrong. There are plenty of fandoms out there that are 100x worse than Splatoon's. The Splatoon community is extremely diverse and sure there are issues that need to fixed and yes there is racism. The Splatoon community is leagues above any other shooter game community by far. Play a bunch of quick play matches of Overwatch or TF2 to see what I'm saying. You're gonna be seeing the n word more times than a Quintin Tarantino movie.

Also he talked about peak character design in the Splatoon games, and the one character he mentioned was.... Big Man... The only male Idol and not anyone else. That just seems a bit.... suspicious to me...

OLIVER; I start walking to the exit doors looking for my boyfriend. It has been 5 months since we have seen each other in person. I have been busy with college and he has been busy with meeting about his group.

"Y/N!" I hear my name being called from a good distance away from me. I turn my head to the right and I see Oliver, he is wearing a white shirt with baggy jeans and a red cap. I drop my bags and run to him as he opens his arms, no I am not going to jump on him. I hug him tightly as he starts kissing all around my face, I laugh at his reaction.

"I missed you," I say before kissing him, his arms grip tighter around my waist.

"I missed you too hun," He looks at me in the eyes, "Just wait for my surprise later,"

"I'm scared now," I say jokingly.

"Don't be. I know you will love it,"

SEBASTIAN; I go to pick up my luggage but then I remember who is getting me.

"You don't need to grab my luggage you know," I say as I look at my boyfriend.

"Well hello to you too baby," He says as he smiles at me while I roll my eyes jokingly before kissing him gently. Once we pulled away we walked to the car but before I knew it I felt arms around my waist, "I missed you."

"I missed you too baby," I say while closing the trunk. He doesn't let go of my waist, I feel him start kissing my neck, "Baby let's go home first."

"We will see if I can wait until we get home but no promises," He says kissing deeply.

"This is so going to be a long vacation, huh?"

JUSTIN; I finally show up to the NSB house. Ryan told me Justin hasn't been doing the best and I already knew ever since last week after a call together. So I few out to surprise him, once I entered the house the others look at me in silence shock.

"Oh my god," Regie says and hugs me.

"Yes I am here," I say hugging him back.

"Want me to call Justin down here?" Oliver asks as I nod in response while I finish hugging the others, "Justin! Come down here!"

I stand behind the wall that is connected to the stairs so he won't be able to see me.

"What bro-"

"Hi baby," I interrupt his sentence. He is wrapped in a blanket, wearing a white tank top, grey sweat pants, and his hair is messy. He drops his blanket and runs up to me.

"The love of my life is here holy shit-" He kisses me gently as everyone 'ew-ed' at us making me laugh, "Who flied you out here?"

"We did," Oliver, Ryan, and Sebastian say in sync.

"We realized that you weren't doing well so we came up with the idea to fly them out here," Sebastian explains.

"The four of us split the payment for the ticket," I say, "I know you weren't doing well especially when you aren't even playing video games."

He looks at me with a sad look and hug me tightly, "I love you."

"I love you too," I whisper to him.

RYAN; Everyone was there to pick you up so Ryan didn't really have a reaction until you guys got into the car.

Ryan and I get into the back seat as the others get my stuff into the car. I gently kiss him once we got in, knowing he isn't going to give a huge reaction when everyone is around. He slowly kisses me back as gentle as one can be.

"Missed you," I say as I pull back.

"I missed you more," He looks at me lovingly before practically cuddling me in the car. I notice the boys are still 'putting my suitcases in the car' but earlier I asked Oliver to give Ryan and I privacy for a bit before we left fully.

"Let's go the our favorite pizza place tonight," He says.

"Ugh yes! I have been really craving it," I say as he laughed.

"I love you, baby," He says as he leans in.

"And I love you," I say before we kiss once more.

KANE; "Baby!" He yells as he runs to me and hugs me. I hug back while laughing at the fact people are staring.

"Hi Honey," I say before kissing him deeply. My hear skips a beat as I feel him start to kiss deeper. I allow it for a for a bit before I pull away.

"Let me get your bags," He says immediately after. He is like a child at the playground every time he gets picks me up from the airport or a horn dog . . . sometimes both.

"Honey, you do not have t-"

"Yes I do, I am your boyfriend and most likely your future husband," I laugh and kisses his cheek. It was only two bags I had since a lot of my clothes are actually are at his place.

"Are you proposing right now?" I ask him. He smiles at me softly and kisses my forehead and looks at me lovingly.

" . . . no," he answers as I groan.

REGIE; I finally get into the house because the boys forgot I was coming into town. I enter the pin of their front door as I open it I see Regie coming down the stairs shirtless, as usual, and on his phone. A part of me is pissed but the other part is happy to see my lovely boyfriend.

"B-Baby?!?" He says once he looks up from his phone. His face in shock and red. He runs down the stairs quickly, once he gets closer to me and tires to hug me I dodge his hug. "What's wrong?"

"I was waiting at the airport for 40 minutes! I called you and Ty last night explaining my phone got messed up because of my younger siblings so it dies quickly. I tried calling you from the airport but no answer-"

"That is why I was getting calls from the airport- baby I am so sorry, we had meetings after meetings and we got so caught up. We just got home like 20 minutes ago," He explains himself as I listen to him. I know he doesn't like when I am mad at him or upset so I just let out sigh before interrupting him with a kiss.

His hand immediately go to my waist, squeezing my hips. "Watch it," I say as his hands get lower.

"Forgive me?" He whispers into my ear.

"Deserve it," Once those words left my mouth, Regie throws me over his shoulder and takes me upstairs leaving my bag next to the front door.

DARREN; Once him and I get into his car, I look over at him.

"Psstt," I say waiting for him to respond. He turns on the car and starts playing, 'This Side of Paradise by Coyote Theory'.

"Remember I played this song when I asked you to be mine?" He asks me, his black hair slightly in his face as he looks over at me. I nod at his responce.

"Baby-" He interrupts me by singing the lyrics. I just smile at him, knowing the fact him and I haven't seen each other in 6 months so he is still in a bliss.

"So if you're lonely~ Darlin' you're glowing~ So if you're lonely, then come be lonely with me~" He sings, sooner or later I start singing him.

After our car karaoke, silence fell upon us, "Baby?"

"Yes, Darling?" He responds.

Today's (8/1/2024) Episode: Aging Up Is Hard To Do

After Noemi joined Luigi in adulthood, the pair struggled to settle into their new, older, stage of life.

Luigi had been busy after aging up, first grieving and then trying to make Noemi’s birthday perfect. When the vain sim finally checked his mirror, he was horrified by how OLD he looked. Wrinkles and bags under his eyes…!? The self-absorbed sim hated the marks time had left on his face.

It didn’t help his outlook that his eczema and anemia seemed to be getting worse, despite religiously sticking to his tried-and-true maintenance routines. He’d also begun to struggle with excessive thirst. None of it made it easy to meet his own high standards. Luigi was officially in a funk!

As for Noemi, she had finally set a date to start the job that Skye’s birth and her health issues had postponed, but it was messing with her head.

She worried that her social struggles would prevent her from making a good impression on her bosses and new peers. On top of that, her inability to exercise the way she wanted to since Skye’s birth due to her surgeries had left her carrying a lot more leftover baby weight than she liked.

The idea of facing her new co-workers and clients when she feeling far from her “best” kicked her anxiety into high gear.

When Luigi admitted his unhappiness with his new, older look and recent ill health it prompted his fiancée to admit to her own concerns.

Noemi suggested that, since Luigi was feeling under the weather, they start trying to tackle things with a visit to their doctors.

Hopefully, his primary care provider could help him figure out what to do to get his chronic conditions back under control and Dr. Valasquez could help her brainstorm ways to manage her anxiety.

Sadly, the outcome of Luigi’s healthcare appointment only worsened his outlook.

His symptoms and answers to questions about his general dietary habits quickly prompted the doctor to order a panel of bloodwork. This revealed that Luigi’s recent fatigue and dry skin weren’t the worsening of his long-standing medical issues, but a sign that he needed to overhaul his lifestyle once again to deal with a new chronic condition: diabetes.

To keep his blood sugar in a healthy range Luigi would now need to avoid many of his favorite breakfast foods and mixology recipes. He hung up the phone in shock, his natural cheerfulness unable to find any bright side to the grim news. Why did these things keep happening to him!?

Noemi didn’t fare much better. Her therapist wasn’t able to suggest anything she didn’t already know, leaving her no better off than before.

Grabbing a late dinner after putting Skye to bed the couple compared notes and tried to brainstorm. Luigi’s first idea came as he remembered how empowering it had felt for him and his cousins to curate their “new looks” after moving in together. Maybe, he told Noemi, they couldn’t change what was at the heart of their problems, but with a little “fashion magic” they could cover over them a bit. She agreed it was worth a try.

When he went on to bitterly joke: “At least my seldom sleepy trait keeps me mostly awake and alert. If only there was a satisfaction potion of chronic-illness-be-gone!” a lightbulb went off in Noemi’s brain. No satisfaction reward would help him, but there was definitely one for her weight concerns.

When Luigi saw the “Insta Lean” potion pop out of his fiancées inventory he placed a hand on her arm to stop her from chugging it down.

“What?” she asked him “It’s a perfectly safe one time reset. Now that I can exercise again, I’ll easily maintain a weight that makes me happy. Come to think of it, exercising more would be good for both of us. Didn’t the doctor say a regular fitness routine would help you manage your sugar levels?”

“Yes, he did” Luigi replied, “and that’s a great idea. If you’re spending points, do you have enough to pick up Seldom Sleepy too?” At her nod he smiled and continued. “Grab that, and we can burn the midnight oil together, going for late night jogs on the beach and early morning swims!”

Gesturing back at the potion his face got serious as he continued: “I just wanted you to know, before you drink that, that you are beautiful and loved just the way you are. If your new bosses or your bathroom mirror don’t appreciate you, I hope you realize how much I do.”

Noemi leaned across the table and kissed him softly. “I love you too. However much your love completes me though, I want to go into my new job feeling on top of the world. This expensive little cocktail will boost my confidence in the office Monday morning, when I’ll need all the help I can get!” With that, she tipped the glass back, letting the magical concoction slide down her throat with a cool tingle.

With their “fixer upper” plans in place the pair looked forward to a fashion makeover to highlight their new, more mature, and soon sleeker bodies!

Did I not quite get the name of my own legacy challenge correct on this banner? Yes, yes I did. Oh well.

Anyway, I'm gonna be starting my AALC challenge with me and my friend's OC couple! Dean Iona (left), my friend's OC, and Astor Xin (right), my OC! I couldn't decide what surname to go with, so I decided to mash them together to make Ixona.

They're living in Sulani, because in our canon universe they live in Hawaii.

Not sure yet if I will be posting this along with the NSB, Name Game, and Princess legacies, but I will definitely be posting it. Eventually, if not right now.

4th anniversary card spoilers - I have so many questions and thoughts

- is the luke praying card set in a dream? Everything is floating which I find interesting (I wonder if it will be a flashback to when he got his diagnosis or something)

- there seems to be significance with the key. Luke never takes it off and now hes holding it in his hands. Maybe this is symbolism of accepting the past (and freeing himself from the “burden” aka the heavy metal key around his neck) and letting go. I’m sure he’ll still wear the key if this is true but I think symbolically freeing himself from his past trauma is nice

- obviously we don’t know the story BUT the last time luke and mc were in an aquarium it was to cure mc’s insomnia and a lot the story was alluding to Luke’s past. There was also a moment where luke is curled up in the corner when mc wakes up and it’s never really touched on after luke tells mc he’s fine. So maybe they go to the aquarium as part of the “freeing oneself from burdens” thing or to help luke if he’s not well physically/mentally. I hope he sees the jellyfish again and instead of being sad about their lifespan feels happier that they can live in the present (he literally talked about not dwelling on the past and living in the present in third anniversary and I was like “wow luke this is amazing growth!!!”

- if there’s a fight or conflict between luke and mc I hope they work through it together rather than luke leaving (as in what he did 1st anniversary). Because then it symbolises the growth and is really nice for him story wise. I’m down to see Aaron involved doing his “not a step dad but the dad that stepped up” stuff too!!!

- where is peanut!!!!!

- finally it’s not quite related to the anniversary but I’m still kind of sad they never really did much with the terminal illness/3 years part of luke that was so integral to him before mc and luke were dating. It looks like we’ll get it again but I hope they at least make it clear by saying “hey he IS ill but it isn’t terminal” because not only is this more realistic but we really don’t get much chronically ill representation in media, specifically dating games. Like Luke’s representation stands for a lot and I think there’s so much that can be done if they keep his illness a central part of his character!! (Think: MC takes care of luke when there’s a flare up and hey, maybe it results in a date being cancelled but the moral of the story is that love and care are more important!! Or MC and Luke go to the hospital for his routine checkup and luke brags because his ecg score is amazing. Or even luke having anxiety and doubts regarding his illness and they talk it over)

Sorry this is so long I had to word vomit my thoughts but TL;DR I hope it has the initial angst followed by comfort. Like eating something spicy and having milk to soothe it

what i DO think represents his past trauma and baggage are his NSB dog tags though, and they seem to be a key part of the story (since it was shown in the pv and is even his event badge) so im excited to see

and ABSOLUTELY yes about how his illness was kinda forgotten for a while. aside from main story (which is an alternate timeline) and ssr dream of benji, his illness was just.....not brought up. im glad theyre finally FIIINALLLYYY bringing it back to luke's route, and im also in agreement with hoping that his illness transitions from terminal to chronic. the representation would be wonderful and it would be very very interesting to see how he and mc tackle it and love each other through it. also, your scenarios for this are so wonderful ;-;
