actually a softie but hella awkward at times

so chaemin is the youngest of three sons, his oldest brother being around 30-33, the middle brother being 26/27

their mom died giving birth to chae due to several complications so it was just the boys and their dad and no one noticed the resentment at first

it would just be light shoves, “playful” punches etc

when chae was 12 he tried to tell his dad he liked boys, his dad ignored him and began drinking more than usual

that was the first night chaes father physically abused him, muttering about how not only did he kill his mom, but now he was one of those disgusting creatures?

chaes oldest brother left without knowing anything, and then middle brother left when chaemin was 14/15 and chae hates them for that, thinking his brother could’ve helped him

both only noticed the drinking problem, never the abuse

when his brothers left, the beatings got worse, but his father was always coming up with an excuse, and no one would believe the well respected chief police officer would be abusing his son

chaes dad left a lasting effect on him, he blames himself for his mothers death, for his brother leaving, that it was his own fault he was getting hit daily and refuses to believe he actually likes boys his self hatred was at an all time high when chae cut himself from elbow to wrist, six years of beatings and he just wanted it to be over.  the scar remains to day, big and pink and he’ll fight you if you say anything about it

dropped out of college halfway through his third year and went from part time at roast cafe to full time

and then theres the camboy thing

chaemin loves the attention it gives him

but homeboy wears a mask that covers the top half of his face at all times so unless someone knows what chae looks like naked, they wont make the connection that they’re the same person, but like his tattoos and lil pouty lips give it away sks

ok so buddy suffers panic attacks, has a slight stutter at times, body image issues, literally a shaking leaf BUT has put on a persona to basically survive and not breakdown everyday. may seem like a dick most of the time, but actually a soft boy who wants to be himself but is scared
