#yes i am too lazy to tag every character

This took way too fucking long- Everyone, gaze upon the Megatron/Galvatron height chart I made. If someone could get me a cold drink, I would love one, I have been working on this for the better part of a month. 26 separate designs, for one character, across 40 years of history. And I had to exclude a couple, the grand total is like 30 different ones. I left those four out because they were just pallet swaps of a design I already had; It felt redundant to include them.

This guy just can not decide if he's named Megatron or Galvatron sometimes, he just switches between the two names at random. I think in Unicron Trilogy, he switches to Galvatron multiple times, and yes, he does switch back to Megatron before every one.

My brain is kinda broken after finishing this. I worked on this one and the Optimus one at the same time (the optimus one is so much bigger holy shit-) and I've lost the ability to feel pain at this point.

Quick Disclaimer, if any of the images look weird, it's because I had to stitch a few separate images together to create a full body shot of the character.

Explanations below the cut, I have to justify myself for a few of these.

G1 Beast Wars V1 - ~9 Feet (PMeg. TFWiki, he's so small. Dinosaur Man is so small)

G1 Beast Wars V2 - ~10 Feet (PMeg. TFWiki, This fucker has roller blades. I'm not fucking with you, they gave the T-Rex Roller Blades and he uses them)

G1 Beast Machines V1 - ~12 Feet (PMEG. The Wiki doesn't have any numbers for Beast machines, sadly, but I found an old forum post comparing the heights to the Beast Wars designs, so I win)

G1 Beast Wars V3/Machines V2 - ~13 Feet (PMEG. The TFWiki says this bitch is like 11.5 meters tall, but no, I've done the math, he is not. If he was, Rattrap, a character who is consistently stated to be 1.8 meters tall across multiple sources in multiple languages is actually not that tall. So no, he's about 2 and a bit Rattraps tall, and that translates to about 13 feet. And I'm pretty sure he reverts into this at some point in Beast machines, though correct me if I'm wrong)

G1 Beast Machines V3 - ~16 Feet (PMeg. This design is identical to the Optimal Optimus design so I'm gonna be lazy and use that number. Not like I have many other options.)

Beast Wars 2 - ~16 Feet (Galv. Idk, the wiki had the number and his name is Galvatron, was I supposed to ignore this? Never gonna watch it, but here it is)

Earth Spark - ~16 Feet 2 Inches (Mega. There are no actual numbers for Earth Spark (yet), but I was able to find Bumblebee's height, which I then compared to Optimus's height, and now I can compare Optimus and Megatron.

Yay!- he's so short it's so fucking funny tiny short man universe)

One V1 - ~17 Feet (Mega. I am aware, of the supposed "Canon Heights" listed on the wiki. 32.462 feet, allegedly. But, have you considered A: These numbers are sourced from the Walmart Promotional AR Experience that came out before the movie. B: There are three decimal points, and that number does not convert into a whole number in meters (which is originally what I thought was weird about it). C: The director has said that this movie is both canon to the LA movies and its own separate canon. AND ALSO Meg is taller than Optimus the entire movie but his height is listed as shorter than him on the wiki. They are the same height by the end of the movie, I call BULLSHIT Walmart; these are not actual numbers I will ignore them POST HASTE! Sadly, Megatron has yet to appear in the KCV live-action movies as I make this, but we know Meg and OP are the same height by the end of TFOne, so knock a couple of feet off this one, and we get pre-cog height)

Netflix Cybertron Trilogy - ~18 Feet (PMeg. Slightly confusing, but there are two Megatrons in this universe, but they are two completely separate characters. This is Predacon Megatron, design-wise identical to his V1 Beast Wars counterpart, but he is much taller in this universe. So I did some admittedly deranged comparisons to other characters and I got this height. It's a similar ratio to Prime & Primal's height difference so I'm running with it)

Gen 1 V2 - ~ 18 Feet 6 inches (Galv. So the Wiki failed me on this one, but- and maybe this is backwards thinking, the WFCT Galvatron is this height, at least comparing him to WFCT Megatron, who I've decided is the same height as Gen 1 Megatron, who we actually have a number for- I am aware it's convoluted but it's all I got)

Netflix Cybertron Trilogy - ~18 Feet 6 inches (Galv. Okay so, Galvatron and Megatron are entirely separate beings in this universe, which is a large departure from Gen 1 where they're effectively the same guy, which means I could compare their heights, and this is about the height Galvatron is. And I have decided that the WFCT Megatron is the same height as Gen 1 Megatron because they're nearly identical otherwise, making the assumption that the Galvatrons are the same easy. The amount of hoops I have to jump through sometimes...)

Gen 1 V1 - ~19 Feet (Mega. TFWiki. Hey look, it's the guy that's the foundation of like 5 other character's calculations)

Prime Wars - ~19 Feet (Mega. As I've said before, I have decided that this design is the same height as the Gen 1 design, because they're identical, yes one is 2d, and the other is 3d but I don't care)

Netflix Cybertron Trilogy - ~19 Feet (Mega. You already know what I'm going to say; it's identical to Gen 1. Just try and stop me)

Unicron Trilogy V2&3/ENG&CYB - ~19 Feet (Mega/Galv. He flip-flops so much in this universe, I think Megatron becomes Galvatron 3 separate times. For the uneducated, the Unicron Trilogy has given each of its 3 seasons separate names and 3 separate art styles. These are the designs used in Energon (S2) and Cybertron (S3). The Wiki had Cybertron's numbers but not Energon's, so for my own sanity, I decided the two were the same height. I could have done something in between Cybertron's and Armada's (S1) numbers, but there was a lot of float between the two)

One V2 - 19 Feet 10 Inches (Mega. As I have stated in the previous One entry: I don't trust Walmart, Meg and OP are the same height by the end of the movie, and the KCV LA and One are kinda one universe. Optimus is this height by the end of the movie, therefore so is Megatron. How many times do I have to explain this)

Cyberverse - 21 Feet (Oh sweet, sweet "I don't have to justify or explain my numbers, I have a source". This comes from a screen-shot of this video which has the Cyberverse height chart everyone uses, though the quality of the screen shot is iffy. If anyone has a better one, I would love to see it)

RID 2001 - ~22 Feet (Mega/Galv. TFWiki. Why are there so many Megatrons who become Galvtron at random and look functionally identical to each other why does this keep happening. Also this guy transforms into a hand)

Unicron Trilogy V1 - ~23 Feet (Mega/Galv. TFWiki. I am very tired, we have another functionally identical Megatron Galvatron conversion and I am in pain)

Bayverse V2 - 30 Feet (Mega/Galv. TFWiki, Movies 4 & 5. This time, they're actually identical, and Mr. Bay has once again blessed me with numbers from all of his movies)

Aligned Cont. WF/FOC - ~30 Feet (Mega. TFWiki. Look man, I don't know how he grows nearly five feet between the games and the shows, it's just what the video game info screen said)

Animated - ~31 Feet (Mega. Animated has no actual numbers, but the lovely @phoenix-inanis has provided a frankly astounding resource with their own calculations for the heights of all the TFA characters. Look, I believe Bayverse is the most consistent tf universe when it comes to the transformers' models and designs, and if we do some comparisons between characters with similar listed heights (I did it at the end of this post), it's way too close for me not to believe it)

Bayverse V1 - 35 Feet (Mega. TFWiki, Movies 1-3. Look at this bitch, getting his secrets exposed by Mr. Bay. Look at him, he's going to shrink down in the forth movie, gonna get dumped down to 6th place on the podium. Get Shrunk, Idiot)

Aligned Cont. TFP PR V2 - 42 Feet 7 Inches (Mega. Look at this enormous bitch, look at the freak standing there, fuckin enormous n' shit. Wack ass Unicron- Did you know that this is probably the TALLEST base form transformer ever? Excluding any super modes or upgrades or a transforming Cybertronian Base/Spaceship, just default general body size, I'm pretty sure this Megatron is the tallest Regular transformer ever)

Not Pictured: RID 2001 Galvatron Pallet - ~22 Feet (the only thing that was different between the two designs was the colours, if felt redundant to include it), Unicron Trilogy Galvatron Pallet(s) - Armada: ~23 Feet, Energon/Cybertron: ~19 Feet (Again, just the colours changed, otherwise everything else was the same)

I have done it. I have conquered my Everest. I have finished the big two charts. If anyone has any suggestions for which transformer I should aggressively analyze next please tell me I don't know which ones to do next

You had lost count of how many battles you fought through, no, rather you refused to count in the first place, the guilt of their existence more than enough for you. Still, you didn’t close your eyes to the situation, you kept your eyes wide open, making yourself remember what was happening in front of you, by your own very hands.

That meant that you fully realized what you were doing, yet never dared to stop the blade from cutting your way free. But your steady hand in battle did not mean your body didn’t lurch and shake afterwards, rather you only learned to push it farther away, to hide it into the corners of your body and to let it only fuel you afterwards.

Despite your ability to cope, you needed some time after each battle, just to sit in silence, to let yourself calm down, lest you swing a fist at someone approaching you. And at first, you sat alone, only your sword in one hand and a wheatstone in the other. Until the Captain started joining you, and you couldn’t outright walk away, as there was no other calm place beside this one. At least he had stayed quiet, not even greeting you when arriving there. So, in the end you allowed him to be there, allowed yourself to come down in his presence, only hearing the sharpening of two blades in the same space.

In a way, this meeting turned into checking each other, nodding to each other as a sign, ‘yes, i survived once again, and you did too’.

So, of course your goal in every single fight was to just sit there, just to survive another day. Even if it meant gritting your teeth and elbowing someone. A splatter against your cheek, and you ensure your life for another couple of minutes.

For a moment, you just stood over the person you had just fought, breathing heavily before you could resume the senseless battle. But before you fully regulated your breath sufficiently, you noticed a shadow looming behind you, and you barely managed to dodge the oncoming strike. Their blades missed your vitals, but it dug itself into the flesh of your thigh.

A hiss escaped you when they ripped their sword out of you, and you began to retaliate before they got ready for another attack. It didn’t take long for you to dispose of them, but longer than you had anticipated. By the time you were done with them, your own blood had soaked through your pants. You cursed and shifted your weight, as more blood seemed to pour out of you the more you used that leg.

Without another choice, you slowly retreated. But you were aware that you might not make it back to the camp in time, much less all by yourself. So, you did leave the battlefield, but rather found some covering behind a tree on the edge of the field.

Slumping against the trunk, you sat on the ground, taking all your weight off your wounded leg. With trembling fingers you grabbed the dagger, the one to only use if your sword and ax were nowhere to be found, but you doubted you could use them in the moment, at least not without making anything worse than it already is. You squinted, trying to focus through your current dizzy spell while slowly cutting through the fabric around the wound. But despite getting rid of that barrier, you were barely able to see the cut properly, blood pooling, making everything homogenous. So, you grabbed the hem of your shirt and cut some stripes loose. Ripping it in half again to make it longer, and you began to wrap it around your thigh, trying to stem the blood flow while also bandaging the open wound.

After putting a knot over the cut, you leaned your head against the trunk behind you, ruminating about the next steps. You didn’t know how long the battle would last, and you doubted anyone would find you in your little hiding spot. And you had to be honest to yourself, you had no idea how much longer you could remain here, as despite your clumsy wound-dressing you still were slowly bleeding out. The makeshift bandage already felt somewhat wet, and you thought to see a tinge of red peaking through already.

A sigh escaped you moments before you noticed a shadow looming over you, and for a moment you thought it might be the enemy as you grabbed your dagger, which you had carelessly thrown onto the ground. Pointing the blade to whoever was standing in front of you, only to lower it slightly. The person crouched to be at your height, and for a second all you could see was the sunlight filtering through strands of gold.

“Hey, what the fuck are ya doing?” he asked you with a scowl, yet his eyes kept flitting over your facial features, as if the answer was going to hide underneath the grime on your skin.

“How the fuck does it look like? I’m having a nice picnic, Captain,” you answered with mocking intonation, especially his rank.

His blazing gaze finally left your face to scrutinize the rest of you. And if you weren’t more concerned about the whole dying ordeal, you would have felt a tiny bit of shame at your sorry state, but you were too dizzy to care. Still, you could pinpoint the exact moment he noticed the blood staining through your pitiful bandage, because you didn’t know that the furrow between his eyebrows could go that deep.

Before once again, his eyes returned to watch over your face, trying to read you and your expressions. And without any more words, he stood up and reached a hand in your direction, waiting for you to take it to help you stand up. You did. You took his hand with no hesitation, because it was so easy to trust him, for some reason. Also, you didn’t want to keep bleeding out behind the trunk of a tree.

Once you were on your feet, he carefully slung an arm around your waist to support your weight, as you barely could use your leg at this point. This way, you both gripping, clinging to each other, you once again walked by his side, him leading the way, all while adjusting to your walking speed.

Your fist was hooked on his cape, only tatters left of the once majestic fabric. Still, you noticed the way his clothes were a painting of orange and the numerous splatters of red. And you couldn’t help but feel some sort of guilt, a guilt about letting him carry you to safety, once again, a guilt about not asking him about his well-being. But now it was too late to ask, wasn’t it? So, you stayed silent, following his footsteps with a twinge of pain running down your leg, imitating the warm drops of blood slowly running down, taking the same path.

Before you knew it, you both stopped in front of a wooden door, and you barely had the time to formulate a question in your head, as he immediately just opens it and enters the small cottage, dragging you like dead weight inside.

The door closed behind you with a decisive kick by him as you conveniently fell onto a chair, and you suspect that he tipped your balance on purpose. It was easy for him, considering the difference in strength and, of course, the wounded leg of yours.

For a moment, you just stared at him with a dumbfounded expression as he lit some candles and immediately began to rummage through one cabinet, obviously looking for something, but failing to do so, as indicated by his low curses.

But before you could get back onto your feet, he turned your way, some proper bandages in hand. And of course, you stretched your palm out to take them and use them. He was faster than you though, and he got the bandages immediately out of your way.

“What the fuck do you think you’re doing? Your hands are bloodied, you’re only going to fucking sully this stupid wrapping,” he sniffed with a roll of his eyes.

“Fine, fine! What do you want me to fucking do? Wash my hands? I also want that, but after, you know, avoiding bleeding the fuck out,” you raised your hands in surrender.

He scowled at your words before simply kneeling beside the chair. His free hand grabbed the ankle of your hurt leg, and put it into a position in which your muscles weren’t tense. After glaring at you, silently telling you to not move, he reached for the dagger in his belt. The mere sight of a blade made you scrunch your face, as you immediately expected some sort of pain, as weapons did.

But you didn’t feel any pain, none at all. That was because he was simply cutting the fabric of your pants away, making the hole you already made bigger and getting rid of the pieces stuck onto your skin. At least none were glued to your open wound, and you were glad that you had some foresight for once.

After your wound was freed, he pulled some sort of clean towel out of nowhere, and he started tapping it on the skin around your wound, the cloth slightly damp. And the moment he pressed it against your cut, you hissed involuntarily, realizing that he had put some alcohol on the fabric.

The sting brought some tears into your eyes, and you glared at him. But he only raised one eyebrow. “What, some silly burn is making you cry? If that’s all it took, then I should’ve tried that earlier,” he scoffed a little snicker, yet you didn’t feel the heat of his insult, as there was none.

You were aware that he was only trying to distract you with the usual fighting of yours. It didn’t work quite as well as he probably hoped, because for some reason you felt something else entirely stir inside you, something else but the usual anger and annoyance you usually felt at his sight.

Soon, the towel was put away, and he began to wrap the bandage around your thigh. And you were watching him slowly and carefully put layers upon layers onto your skin. You couldn’t help but notice the way the flickering flame made his cheekbones more pronounced, the way his eyelashes glittered like mist under his focused eyes, the way his hair glowed like molten honey. So, you kept staring at him, wondering who he was, who he truly was as a person, rather than his status in this army. Wondering why looking at him, why his presence gave you such a calm mind, made your chest stir.

And then he looked up, his eyes met your gaze. Those ruby eyes, those eyes filled with fire, with sunset. Blooming up at you like a red bouquet of azaleas, of anemones. Once again, you felt your chest stir, but this time your heart was joining, beating a message only you could understand. And you finally did.

Oh…

Oh.

Upon this dawning realization, you simply avoided his gaze, suddenly thankful for the sparse light, as you seemingly could not control your facial expression for a moment. You gulped a couple of times, trying to calm the flutter inside your veins, lest he noticed them.

Still, you glanced back to take a look at him, only to see him back on his feet and tinkering with something you could not discern from your spot. You ought to stand up and see what he was up to, but before you could even coordinate any movement, he was already shooting you a glare over his shoulder, one you only raised your hands in surrender once again before simply leaning back into the chair.

Luckily, you didn’t have to wait for a prolonged amount of time before he turned around, holding a bowl with some water in it and a towel, this time simply handing you both with no instructions. You didn’t need any, of course, so you let the towel sop up some water and began to slowly clean your palms and the rest of your sticky hands until you started washing your face in a circular motion, putting in the effort of truly reaching into every possible crease and corner of your own skin.

After being done, the water all murky after cleaning the cloth in it, you didn’t necessarily feel cleaner, but rather less sticky. Setting the bowl aside, you leaned into the chair, again, and wondered what you were supposed to do in this situation, because you had to admit that you had no idea where this little cottage was located and how far it was from the base. You assumed the reason for its invisibility on cards was because it probably was some sort of safe house, so you were lost about your current whereabouts. Well, at least the Captain was apparently well aware of this place, so you weren’t completely lost, unless he just left you there.

Your eyes immediately jumped to where he was once again tinkering with something, staring at his back. And no, he didn’t seem to plan some sort of escape, and you quickly averted your eyes before your heart began to think for itself once again.

Something rustled outside of the window, and at first you thought it might be just a harmless animal. That was until a group of masked people almost kicked the door down or entered through the window. Your hands fumbled around at this intrusion, looking for some sort of weapon to hold, to prepare to defend yourself.

They had taken the Captain off guard, yet he was able to fend them off. But for some reason it didn’t seem like they were targeting him to begin with. And you were still vulnerable, no weapon in sight. You glanced around, looking for the dagger he had used earlier for the fabric, and you found it on the commode close to the bed.

Slowly, you leaned to the side, trying to avoid their attention for as long as possible. But someone stood in front of you, tutting as they noticed your plan. With your way blocked, you had no way to reach the weapon, so you had to improvise.

You grabbed the bowl from earlier and smashed it on the head of the person standing between you and the dagger. It broke into shards, and some cut into your skin, but that didn’t matter in the prospect of your enemy staggering and slumping. With this move, the way to the weapon had opened itself to you once again and you take your chance, almost yanking the dagger away from the top of the commode.

You glanced in the direction of the Captain who was still fighting off multiple masked people with ease in this enclosed space, and you immediately tensed up, ready to jump in whenever an opportunity arises. But before you had any time to even target one of the enemies, you felt a prickle on the back of your neck. Swatting away at whatever that was, you turned around to face someone slightly shorter than you holding some sort of syringe.

“Good night!” a young girls voice came from their direction, and you furrowed your brows, wondering what she could have meant with that.

Until a wave of dizziness suddenly hit you, making you sway slightly, your hand clutching the frame of the chair as you tried to hold yourself together. You almost forgot about the dagger, but the last remnants of your mind were conscious enough to make yourself slump over to be able to slip the weapon into one of your boots. You didn’t even have enough time to check if it was going to hold before you slipped from the chair and onto the ground. barely feeling your extremities anymore. Still, you tried to move anything, even the tiniest twitch of your fingers.

The last thing you saw were your fingers reaching for the Captain as he began to struggle with the mob. And you met his eyes before everything drowned into a silent black.

Fic Recs: "Didn't see that one coming" edition...

I've been wanting to start collecting my all time favorite stories in ages but never knew where to start, there are just too many talented souls out there. A lazy day of re-reading favorites makes me want to finally give it a try though.

Featuring today: stories that defy my usual hunting patterns but still became all time favourites against all odds. Stories leaving me utterly gobsmacked thinking "That was so, soo awsome... but how on earth did I end up in this fandom / character / trope tag of all places?".

@messy-insomniac-bookgirl Let's be honest: this writer is the spirit animal of this specific selection. Never heard of the fandom? Dislike the protagonist with a passion? Doesn't matter: she writes it, I devour and love it. The reason? Dense and hugely rewarding story-telling, perfect pacing, side characters you want to adopt on the spot, delicious slow burns with sooo much yearning. And, most importantly, the awesome female OCs. I am in love with each and every one of them, regardless who they share a screen with. It's almost impossible to select just one story for this list but let's go for "Keep Calm and Buckle Up" (AO3) for suddenly making me feel things when Steve Rogers entered the stage in "Infinity War". Steve Rogers x OFC, James "Bucky" Barnes x OFC, Steve x Bucky x OFC. Action, slow burn, emotional roller coaster rides. Rated E.

@batsingotham "Written in the stars" (AO3) I don't do Soul Mate AUs. I don't do Robert Pattinson characters. For me the best things about "The Batman" were Andy Serkis' Alfred and 3 hours of Niravana in a loop. But the undisputed goddess queen of slow burn domestic fluff overruled all of that. Bruce Wayne/Reader. Soulmate AU. Dorks in love. Bruce needs a hug and Alfred has the patience of a saint. Rated M.

"Sweet Conversations" by @glassgulls Lord of the Rings has been living in my head rent free ever since I was a teenager but I simply don't do Elves. Period. Yes, Glorfindel is very cool and Lee Pace's Thranduil is an absolute vision (the costumes, the voice and the make up, mind you, don't get me started on any other aspect of the Hobbit movies though...) but otherwise? Thanks but no thanks. Nevertheless: the award for best fictional kiss I’ve come across in ages goes to this gem. Amazing scene setting and character work for something so short. Leaves you weak-kneed and high as a kite on serotonin for the rest of the day. Haldir/Reader. One-shot. Rated M.

„Ownership of Mine“ by @amywritesthings . Okay, lets be honest, peeps: Prison settings for a romance story? Seriously? I have a few WIPs from other fandoms (not 911) that I abandoned a long time ago and now the source material has changed too much for the fics to make sense to finish which is sad cos some of them I was really excited about (RIP the Australian Adoption Adventure fic).

What are your writing strengths?

Descriptions, particularly of physical intamicy/tactile situations cos I'm hyper aware of where everyone's limbs are at all times. I think I'm pretty good at getting character's verbal tone right too.

What are your writing weaknesses? Other than finishing WIPs?? Long fics, honestly. I have so many ideas but find it really hard to plot out and execute long form fics.

Thoughts on dialogue in another language? Character specific I think.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? The first chapter of The Weeping Willow. I was crying while writing it. it was meant as a standalone story but my amazing readers convinced me to write the second chapter to make the angst more bearable 😇

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I think it's How to Kiss a Fairy, a fluffy and cute fic I wrote together with @avaria-revallier.

8. Do you get hate on fics? No, it has never happened so far. The closest to "hate" comments I got is reading loving messages like "how dare you treat these characters this way" (meant in a positive way) - I absolutely adore them!

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yes. Some tender vanilla, some is more kinky. I'm mostly into m/f and f/f.

As English is not my native language, I'm doing it every day :D Writing dialogue in elvish or dwarven languages is a great tool for a writer! Among other things, adds specific flavour to stories and I really like reading it. From time to time, I add some of it to my stories too.

5. Do you respond to comments? Yes, in due time. I struggle a lot with being overwhelmed at times (imposter syndrome, fear of not knowing what to say, comments heaping up), but I am so thankful for every comment that I do try to answer them all in a timely manner.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I've written about 1k fics; I do not remember all of them :s I generally don't write angst, so I really couldn't say. Sorry :(

It's one of my first fics, and there's only a chapter or so missing...but I don't know if I'll ever finish writing that last chapter. There are a few more where I've written 1-5 additional chapters and never uploaded them...for reasons (?). By now, I am too ashamed and lazy to get back to them.

16. What are your writing strengths? Versatility and speed. I am a mediocre writer in my 5th foreign language, and I make no bones about it. Nevertheless, I am willing to give anything and everything a try :D

17. What are your writing weaknesses? I am extremely wordy. It takes me too long to get to the smut. I refuse to describe settings and geography, so all my plots seem a bit floating and vague.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I avoid using languages I don't speak which includes Tolkien's languages. I am too afraid to make mistakes or to sound cringe to people who know better than me. As for RL languages...a word maybe, but a whole sentence (again) might feel contrived...IDK everyone does as they want, but I am not feeling it for myself.

Firstly, to answer your question:

Yes, there'll definitely be more chapters of "2WATS". I mentioned how many chapters in total I have planned a while ago, but I can't remember the exact number and I'm too lazy to look it up rn, but it's definitely going to be in the double digit area.

I can't tell when the next chapter will be out, though...

It's been a while since I've written anything and I have a hard time getting back to it. You probably know the struggle as a fellow writer.

I started to work on two other project, but everything I write just... sucks? And the motivation to work on it again just isn't there... and I really don't want the same thing to happen when I start to work on chapter 8 of "2WATS".

I know this probably won't get better if I don't write, but trying to write anyting frustrates me a lot atm...

But please don't be shy about asking when the next chapter will be out, I'm not annoyed by it or anything (as long as you're not rude about it), I believe it encourages me even to get back to writing again.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, what made you read my story? (damn, I'm hoping you read this, anon)

I know there are two people who joined the g/t community recently, who also like parental g/t, but I don't think you're one of them since you mentioned you're new to my blog, and not the community in general, and you didn't think you'd like the trope...

So what made you read it?

Like I genuinely wanna know.

I for example have no problem with reading a fanfic for a fandom I'm not even in on AO3, if the tags sound promising.

I recently read a jjk fanfic and I didn't even watch the anime, hell I barely know what it is about! I obviously can't tell, if any of the characters were ooc (the plot definitely probably doesn't have much to do with canon anyway), but I don't give a damn, because it was a foster story! And I'm definitely going to read the next chapter when it comes out! But does that mean I'm going to watch jjk? No!

And yet...

When it comes to tropes that I don't like or ain't interested in, it's unlikely I'm going to read a fanfic for a fandom I'm actually in.

My Requests

So, why am I here? I got started writing requests for free, and I still do them now when my schedule permits! You can pop into my ask box whenever it's open, give me a short synopsis, and I'll write headcanons or short stories. Whether you prefer to be wordy in your request or just drop in with the bare details, I'll absolutely make it happen if inspiration hits. I do try to answer everything in my inbox eventually, but I can't guarantee it, so please don't take it personally. There are many ideas I LOVE but just don't have the spoons to answer properly!

Requests can include as many characters as you'd like, but I always reserve the right to select whichever ones work best for me.

My Rules

I like to keep things casual so I don't have many rules, but here are the essentials, please message me for any clarification.

1. I expect a basic level of decency from anyone on my page and posts, and reserve the right to block without question. Thankfully this one isn't too hard, just don't be a jerk and we'll get along, but still needs to be posted because some people can never remember to behave!

2. If you ever have any issues with anything I've posted, like wanting a tag to be introduced, please notify me through my direct messages! As a forewarning, I will not answer if your issue is related to a ship, headcanon or canon divergence in my writing. You're free to block me and move on with your day, as we both have better things to do!

3. Requests will be answered if and when I have the time and inspiration. There's no problem asking me what I am working on, but repeated inquiring will be ignored. Yes, this means it may never be answered, but unfortunately I work a full time job and just can't dedicate the hours I'd need to answer every ask. Maybe someday that will change!

4. This particular blog will have SFW and NSFW posts, so PLEASE don't follow unless you're 18+!

Common Questions

1. Do I have to pay for requests? Nope! You can leave as many as you want in my inbox, but the caveat is I get to choose which to write and when. If you want to guarantee something is written you have to commission me when I have them open.

2. What are prompts? I tend to enjoy applying the same scenario to different characters, as I find it a fantastic writing excercise, so I will develop prompts around specific situations as a kind of shorthand! The name of a prompt will usually be in the tags, but if I haven't written it in a while a link is always helpful!

3. Will you roleplay with me? I'm afraid I'm just not much into RP, sorry!

It was a fact that Colonel John Sheppard often got hurt. In other words, since he never admitted the pain, the military commander of Atlantis often got injuries that made it impossible for him to walk.

Whether he was wounded and had a broken leg or a sprained ankle and simply couldn't run fast enough to get away or whether he couldn't stand upright because of several bruised ribs, he often wasn't able to move alone. Sometimes he was unconscious and sometimes he only had a concussion, but sometimes this was enough for him to not be able to think clearly or to walk straight.

So with all these experiences, the soldier could tell how it felt to be dragged along. When he was too exhausted to move on his own, people tugged at him or shoved him forward, particularly McKay. He had already been pulled at arms and legs or lifted on improvised stretchers by people lighter than him like Teyla.

Lorne was smaller than him, so he usually forced one of his arms over his shoulders and placed an arm around Sheppard's waist before he hauled him along or the Major gave him a fireman's lift. And Ronon usually threw him over his shoulder and had even carried him bridal style more often than he would like to admit.

But never, not once in his life, had someone given him a piggyback ride, not during his career and surely not in his childhood. And that was why Sheppard was a little bit confused when he found himself leaning against a solid back, his chin resting on a leather clad shoulder. He was held by two strong arms, his owns loosely slung around the other person's neck and his feet dangling in the air.

The Colonel felt actually totally safe and for a moment he considered just pretending to be still asleep. But then his conscience spoke up and he thought that maybe he should take into account that the other person might not be so comfortable. He had no idea how long he had been asleep.

Sheppard blinked open his eyes and tried to remember why someone would have to carry him. He didn't feel sore at all, which meant he hadn't been the victim of a beating for once. As he looked around, though, he wondered if that wouldn't have been better. Out of the corner of his eye he saw that his carrier had all too familiar long, white hair.

"Sheppard, you are awake", he heard the multi toned voice of an old frenemy and tensed.

"Todd. I don't want to complain, buddy, because I'm all lazy right now, but why exactly do you carry me?"

The Wraith chuckled lowly, "You were stunned several times and I had to get you away from the hive."

"The hive?" He didn't remember a hive, he had been on a planet with his team. And then the memories of darts came back.

"Yes, Sheppard. Apparently my former Hive now."

With many requests in mind and my muse not keeping quiet, I am working on a long-story-sequel (and prequel), but life is evil, even without chronic headaches keeping me from thinking and chronic wirst pain keeping me from writing & drawing.

If you have read or will read the last chapter notes on my recently updated "Every flower must grow through dirt" (also in the SG Atlantis fandom) or the Author's notes on the recently posted "Two are (not) Better than One, right?" (in the TeenWolf fandom), then you might understand why it has been and still is such a slow-going process.

Anyway, rest assured, I am working on continuing this short story, but it won't be published anytime soon, just for your information.

yeah! I try to at least, I have a huge backlog to get through whoops. I started writing in the era of ffn where like half the experience was talking back and forth in the reviews and then pm-ing and that's how I made a lot of friends that I still have today. and without that kind of comment culture and the author replying to messages, I might not have ever started writing.

someone replied to my review very kindly and asked why I didn't have any fic, my ideas were awesome (hair flip) and that made me realize oh. I don't have to Just read, I can also write the stories

and the rest is history

but fostering that kind of community, just talking to people who love the things you love, is such a fun part of the fandom experience for me and so I'll always reply to comments (eventually. I'll always get there eventually.)
