This one is only on here because I was looking for intros/outros for TFA (I would have gotten to it eventually listening through all of Tycho's stuff but it may not have been on this year's wrapped).

I also listened to this one for intros/outros - it's been on one of my playlists forever but I forgot that it slapped. But I thought it fit a little scene I've thought about but never written before: Anni sending a video of Dez to Gweltsen, in that sliver of time between Dez being activated and Gweltsen dying. From Gweltsen's perspective:

Anni waved at the camera, and then she was talking past it: “Hey, Dez, do you want to say hi to Gweltsen?” A muffled, “Is Gweltsen here??” “No, I’m recording a video to send to them.” “Oh. Okay.” The camera switched, then panned over to Dez sitting on the floor in a burgundy t-shirt that was several sizes bigger than him. He was half looking over his shoulder, not entirely making an effort to look at the camera. His face was all big round eyes like sideways commas under small round eyebrows, and a little curve of a nose. He raised a hand in greeting, his fingers falling in a natural loose shape. “Hi, Gweltsen.” As soon as he was done speaking, his mouth disappeared again. From out of frame, Anni’s voice: “Do you want to show them what you’re working on?” He held up a green crayon with the smooth point of a bullet. “Sharpening.” He put his hand back down but kept looking at the camera like he was waiting for it to go away. The video ended there. Below it was another message from Anni: he really was just sharpening.
