Always very interesting when my mother asks for my opinion on singers, because a) why does she act like I am the Sole Authority who knows everything™, and b) she always seems a bit surprised when I extend people grace and don't pick apart or cruelly judge every single one of their flaws.

#yes I am aware of the irony of treating other singers as human beings with limitations who are allowed to be imperfect while #thinking that I have to make every single song I sing in every context The Best Ever™ to the point where it almost made me stop #singing altogether. trust me.#but like. Idk sometimes putting it out there in words will hopefully make me more able to give MYSELF grace too.#speaking of which. I DO want to post singing soon. as soon as the fatigue lets me work around it lmao.#because it's been harder to stand up for long periods of time (and it's easier for my voice to work when I stand as opposed to sitting down #but maybe I'll just sing for a few minutes every day and see if anything's usable in a week or so idk.#in any case. I DO need to get better about Making Sounds In Front Of People again. it's good for me. and my soul. and expression in general
