SongFacts:

For her second mini-album, ex-GFriend member Yerin took a trendy synthpop route. Even though it's used by every idol act imaginable, this sound still has an appeal to me. Its nostalgic atmosphere is particularly suitable for soloists, allowing classic melodies and chugging beats to take center stage.

Unfortunately, Bambamambam (밤밤밤) feels like an amateur version of this trend. Yerin's thin voice isn't enough to carry the song forward, and the producers don't opt for much layering to help her. The instrumental is also muted and takes up familiar sounds without doing anything new with it. The production feels flat in many places, even when the track is supposed to reach its climax. It's quite enjoyable to listen to, but there are far better K-pop songs in this style.
