We used to have karaoke nights, story telling nights and what not... we were the first ones to move away and get our own place and I remember exactly, when we told ivy that we were moving she cried haha... she would not stop crying.. we had to come to an agreement of some sort to stop her... but looking at her now, I don't see the broken, fragile girl with low self esteem... I see a confident, brave woman. I had this conversation with jin hyung before he left... we were just sitting and just reminiscing how we practically raised ivy ans jungkook... seeing them be who they are now always makes me feel like a proud dad hahaha❞ — from ivy : the documentary

❝ ivy... has gone through a lot to come this far... even if she's younger than me or the fact that she's my girlfriend, does not change the fact that she's our senior who I've always looked up to. She's always had this brave and confident persona which fools people into thinking she's the same off camera. Off camera, she's just a soft, broken, vulnerable girl who just needs all the love and care she deserves... the first time I ever saw her breakdown was heartbreaking for me and it made me wonder how cruel could this world be to such a beautiful and sweet person. It made me want to protect her forever and just give her my whole heart. i wanted to make her smile all the time. but i think i'll always be thankful to her in one way because she's made me a better person and has taught me a lot of things and just hoe to view life differently in general and to love myself. there has been a lot of days where just the both of us has sat in our bathroom floor, tears streaming out of our faces but looking back i'm glad i got to experience that with ivy and not anyone else. ❞ — from ivy : the documentary

❝ I've always considered ivy like one of my daughters and I've treated her like one as well.. I was the one who first proposed the idea of ivy debuting under both jyp entertainment and bighit to bang shi hyuk and he thought I was nuts at first haha.... I asked him this question when he was telling me about how he was scared about debuting this girl named ivy and when I asked him what he was scared about, he replied that she had a lot of great potential to become the next top star but he was afraid about what would happen to her talent if the company went under any financial issues. He told me that the company's current source of income was only bts.... so I asked him and to my absolute surprise he agreed. We agreed that bighit would be her main managing company and jyp would just manage her socials... and just as we expected she blew up... she was an absolute success. I think she was the one who introduced me to Lisa... we used to hang out a lot before either of our schedules got tight.. we do see eachother now but it's not as frequent as before... but everytime we have a comeback or a concert or just anything, I can bet that her message will be the first one I receive... she usually just keyboard smashes most of the time saying we look so good and it's vice versa when she has her comeback we all message her either congratulating her or teasing her hahah.. she's like a little sister to us. ❞ — from ivy : the documentary

❝you want me to talk about ivy? do you know that it will take several hours? where i can start.. you know, that feeling you get when you meet someone for the first time, but you feel like you've known them forever? that's how i felt the first time i saw her. she is younger than me, so i always had this protective aura towards her, despite the fact that she is more experienced than me as an idol. ivy is a charming and sweet girl, very attentive and helpful to others, you can even call her perfect. she's like a disney princess, you know.. brave, pretty and insanely kind. i admire her enormously, she went through a lot to get to where she is today, and despite everything, she never gave up and always wanted to accomplish her dreams exactly as she had imagined them. she totally deserves her success, and i hope her community will grow again and again in the future, because she deserves it for all her efforts. ivy is an idol that we can stan easily because of her kind and generous personality, and her undeniable talent. i mean.. i often listen to her music when i'm looking for inspiration because her voice is like a sweet melody that helps me to concentrate. it reminds me of all the good times we had together. oh and of course, all the times we escaped from our managers just to be, for a few moments, just the two of us. we talked about everything and nothing and it allowed us to relax, ivy is really a good person who can always be counted on, i hope i never lose her.❞
