December 29, 2024 - Yellow-gorgeted Greenbul or Yellow-throated Leaflove (Atimastillas flavicollis) Found in parts of western Africa, these greenbuls live in wooded habitats and thickets, often near water. They mostly eat fruit, along with some insects, foraging in pairs or family groups and sometimes joining mixed-species flocks. While the details of their nesting habits are not known, they are thought to breed cooperatively, probably building cup-shaped nests from twigs, rootlets, leaves, and other materials in trees.
