2025 met gala looks that remind me of the jjk characters

Gojo : (Diana Ross) : grandiose, majestic, and dreamy just like my glorious blue eyed king. It's a showstopping piece that took everyone's breath away and was the talk of the event that's satoru. But i also choose it because of the emotional depth of this fit : The long 18 feet train of the dress is embroidered with the names of her children & grandchildren to honor the most important ppl in her life, and i believe that's a very satoru move who loves his students and friends very loudly and very much (imagine him pulling this move and megumi is like wtf but giggling on the inside)

Geto : (Jennie Kim) : the classic pearls chanel elegance femininity but the hints of masculine elements with the tailored silk pants feels very cool and VERY suguru. Plus the gorgeous bow hairstyle would be like a new twist to suguru's hair game

shoko (Miley Cyrus) : hear me out the contrast in textures (the elegant silk with rowdy leather) reminds me of shoko the way her life is full of contrasts (she is a healer, she smokes cigarettes, meets a friend after he committed mass murder and greets him like yo criminal) she's the embodiment of effortless cool and rugged sophistication and this look was the most shoko look ever

nanami : (khaby lame) : oh i LOVE this fit, the elegant tailoring but relaxed structure of the suit gives off a very effortlessly put together vibe, like a casual nanami fighting curses while his sleeves are rolled-up. But also this fit reminds me of nanami's time based pact where he keeps his cursed technique suppressed til 5pm (while he's on the clock) and only releases his full power when he's doing "overtime".

sukuna (Teyana Taylor) : sukuna might be fraudulent but he IS a king after all and this fit exudes that regal, commanding raw power suited for a king It's grand and majestic, it gives off luxury, wealth and power

yuuji : (chapelle roan) : The metallic accents and glitter of this fit makes me think of yuuji's vibrant bold impulsive personality where he throws himself in front of a curse cz he wants to save his friends. The pink disco glam speaks to his playful lighthearted fun character

nobara (halle Bailey) : It's a glamourous chic fit but also fun and playful. u can move around, dance and have a good time while looking cute asf - that's nobara core

megumi : (Iman Hammam) simple black n white palette but the quiet chaos of the polka tie, the feathery headpiece and the pointed tow glitter heels is very megumi

Maki (Cardi B) : the fit looks powerful, commanding, and confident just like maki. And the silver brooch reminds me of maki's cursed weapons.

Toge : (Mona Patel) : at first look this is just a pretty dress but when u really take in the details of the sharp tailoring, the corset embroidery, the spine-like structure trailing down her back and an actual real robotic dog made by MIT accompanying her - it becomes exceptional just like with toge. Toge is so much more than just a pretty hot perfect sexy boy who says "salmon", He has a powerful, layered and fun personality despite his CT restrictions, he's a hidden gem.

It's interesting to hear the perspective of that other anon (and like you, I'm sure that they feel the way they do with good reason!) but I have such a different view of the fandom lol! I feel comfortable saying anything about Paul, but I'm super careful about anything even slightly critical of George, because I am scared of upsetting someone.

I wonder if it comes down to familiarity: I know the most about John and Paul, so I have a better gauge of bad stuff that's fun to make fun of vs. bad stuff that isn't.

It's so funny isn't it as I feel the exact same way about George! Like I would love to discuss him more on my blog but I'm a little terrified of it. I mean, I got a passive aggressive reblog for saying John and George felt too sibling coded to ship, I can't imagine if I actually went into it lol.

I think familiarity is a lot to do with it! I also know less about George (but am trying to rectify this!) and know less about the more George centered fandom space. It's difficult to feel out when you don't know what is off limits/a popular take that's actually untrue/what sensitivities there are etc.

Oh man I'm actually going to be brave now but I do think it's a little hard to talk about George as well sometimes as in my honest, humble, probably wrong opinion also think that John and Paul weren't/aren't the only ones projecting stuff on to George and that some fans have the tendency to do so as well. This is probably because he's sadly no longer with us as well as that his position of being both an underappreciated, inside/outsider means that he has a very distinct appeal that people relate to and gravitate towards.

This isn't to say that George wasn't the MVP as he was! I've said I think more than once that I wish I was a George girl as that mf was game-changingly cool (his STYLE) and so funny and had the heart the size of a mountain. This also isn't to say that there aren't amazing George focused blogs as there are tons! It's just that I find it sometimes hard to know how to engage when the George they're seeing is not the one I find in the sources I read. (The funniest one was a post I saw that said that unlike John and Paul George had good boundaries and it was like SIR/MA'AM you cannot be talking about Mr. George-crashed-Patti's-and-Eric's-Christmas,-recorded-Bob-Dylan-without-his-knowledge,-treated-friendships-as-great -romances,-potentially-wrote-a-song-about-wanting-to-screw-his best-friend's-wife-Harrison.) The previous anon probably feels the exact same way about Paul discussions so I think it probably just goes back to familiarity and natural biases!

this is so incredibly self indulgent because i see ningguang, ei and kafka in the same sentence and explode. everyone pretend i didnt accidentally pick a fav here um

ningguang i already see as a pillow princess more than anything she fits this so well. absolutely adores going slow + worship. treat this woman like royalty and lord you will not regret it. she goes all out to make the night as perfect as possible. will not let you have a hand in any of it sorry!! this is her turf. perfect atmosphere suited to your tastes (tons of candles, if you like that, or just going by moonlight is also her style). incense, taking a few minutes beforehand just to really get settled in the mood (usually by cuddling, but shes not against just taking a moment for some tea or even a game of chess).

I've connected the dots. I've connected them:

1) Jar Innards were attempts at creating a 'Saint', made out of multiple victims (mostly fellow Hornsent but at some point Shamans too)

2) Jar Innards have a glowing golden string inside

3) Divine Gate is made of multiple people too, maybe even willing sacrifices for all we know! In the trailer it was shown to be very... lively and organic lol. As opposed to the petrified state we found it at.

4) Marika pulls golden strings from a literal pussy in Divine Gate, which is "affair from which gold arose, and so, too, shadow was born" (refers to following creation of Erdtree and Scadutree)

5) Miquella, on the other hand, doesn't seem to have created anything, nor seduce anyone except for his half-brother lololololol, he simply entered the Divine Gate after having severed ties with his body and personality and it already made him a God. So, what Marika did with the strings was not required to become a God, but her own volition ("seduction and betrayal").

6) Extracting the golden string from it also presumably what "killed" it; it didn't lose its God-promoting quality, but it did petrify. Maybe she stole lifeform-creating feature of it in general with it.

7) She most likely didn't auto-own Elden Ring upon ascension. I mean, Miquella doesn't either. It was, however, owned by Ancient Dragons until Lord of Placidusax "was fled"! Considering that he "awaited his return outside of time" in which he was already wounded, it more likely refers to consequences of battle with Bayle than not!

8) Two Fingers were guiding Marika from the start, they are even featured in talismans depicting birth of the Erdtree from a seed form! Two Fingers ALSO will have a mental breakdown if there is no set 'Order' for five minutes. They don't care what laws of nature are or who establishes them, as long as things don't descent into primordial chaos (aka Elden Ring must not stay broken or otherwise vacant no matter what)

9) Rune of Death was plucked from Golden Order upon its creation, and is found guarded by Maliketh in the place which looks like this:

So, most likely, this is the location in which Elden Ring was placed, before Marika took it inside of her, EXCEPT for Death!

10) Death was owned by Gloam-Eyed Queen until Maliketh defeated her

11) This statue must depict someone who should have been well-liked by either Ancient Dragons or their OG followers (became Banished Knights)

12) It depicts a woman with Shadowbeast, a brand of Empyrean (although hers is unusual as three headed), and GEQ was an Empyrean chosen by Two Fingers

After Bayle wounded Placidusax and God knows what else he caused, consequences were that Ancient Dragons no longer could keep Elden Ring, so it remained vacant. It would be nearly as bad as Shattering for the Two Fingers who need a concrete person to shape the laws of nature, nor Greater Will would like the state of primordial chaos! So, they called upon those they've chosen as Empyreans - much like thousands of years later they'd call upon Tarnisheds, and Marika was the most promising one + the one to succeed!

Perhaps this statue IS GEQ, after all! And she didn't really betray Ancients Dragons of course, they were in disarray and could not own Elden Ring anymore after having lost it! Things once broken... etc. But, she allied Marika as second fiddle in her wish to create controlled era glistening with life, rather than letting Death occur the way it used to! Certainly cut the influence of Deathbirds, for one!

I am not sure yet why that allyship went sour! Since GEQ was literal God-Slayer, but Marika killed Fell God herself, I questioned whether fall-out happened before War with the Giants! @val-of-the-north said maybe GEQ refused to kill that guy in particular, because his fire is the one and only threat to the Erdtree but GEQ never thought Marika wanted to actually live forever? Like, she assumed that when the time comes, she or them both would pass the mantle to the next cycle. All things must die someday. I really like this idea! (Also adds the weight to Messmer and Melina being born siblings and allies in being curse upon Marika that I never knew I needed lol)

honestly? venti and zhongli have only appeared together in like one lantern rite scene and one poetry event and that's literally it, so i wouldn't say they're 'traditionally more often together'. on both times it was hu tao's fault anyway? so i don't think we've had zhongli expressly seek venti out like ever. but the reason why they have indeed interacted the most when it comes to inter-archon relationships (which isn't saying much because the only other ones who've interacted are furina and zhongli so like. venti doesn't seem like an outlier if he only has one extra instance over her) is because they're the only original two. so they know the other the most out of the rest, because again. only original two

so as for zhongli not having a connection to rukkha in this au and not having one to venti either; the only reason they know each other in-game is because of the archon war.
