bit the bullet and made rice on the stovetop instead of the forsaken rice cooker last night
meant I was able to toast cumin seeds in butter as well as the rice itself (didn't have any of the other suggested spices from the recipe at hand, shush it) and holy FUCK this is the best rice I've ever made and im never going back. was more work but the rice cooker actually takes *more* babying and STILL burns half the pot so like. ┐(￣ヘ￣)┌
(legit tho I ate about half a small bowl's worth straight from the pot before managing to sit down lmao)
