shows i like: gravity falls, arcane, bluey, bee and puppycat, amazing digital circus, toh, wandavision (not a marvel fan in general but i love that show), dance moms (don’t judge im a sucker for reality tv), and way too many kids shows. what can i say my mental age is like 4 (@person4924 and @sweetronancer know octonauts is where it’s at 😭)

i do a lot of writing, my first novel is actually fully drafted and i’m hoping to have it edited within the next 2 years so i can publish :) other than that main one + my other main-ish novel i have about ten million wips 😭

i’m completely obsessed with fiber arts omg if you embroider or weave or handspin your own yarn please please please be my friend

i am neurodivergent, suspected autism among other things (i’m not able to seek a diagnosis rn but i plan on seeking one when i can). im also having a lot of health issues recently. i’m not sure if it’s POTS, long COVID, fibromyalgia, or a combination of these things, or something different all together—either way, it’s been a pretty rough year for me. idk what’s up but it’s been a journey lol :’)

because of that (plus the fact that the subject overlaps with a lot of my special interests) there will be a lot of disability posting/reblogging here. i hesitate to speak up about it sometimes because im not professionally diagnosed with anything, and im a minor so i dont have much experience in life with these things, but i’ve got kind of a lot of stuff going on with me and it’s a subject im passionate about, so i’ll have a lot of stuff about that on my blog :)

Are you doing better mentally? Where have you been?

Ah, man. I'd like to think that most of the time we have been doing better mentally until the seasonal depression kicked in again. Couple weeks ago, our favourite band of all time released their new album that one million percent gave us more motivation to live than ever before (Literally so obsessed with The Maybe Man by AJR, everyone go listen to it, it's game changing AND life changing) Aside from the occasional brain mush, things are slowly getting better kinda. Probably will never be truly okay but we're getting to a point in time where things will be less bad.

And yeah sorry for the long absence, beforehand, everything was kicking our ass and everything got too overwhelming to handle. I was eventually gonna make a "Sorry we've been gone" post but asks usually motivate us better so. Hurrah really.

We're slowly getting back on the art grind, there was a long period where we didn't draw much and also being a system with a pedantic need for organization, tracking, and basically cataloguing new member splits and all that. A strenuous week long stint of making member profiles took a chunk out of our art time. Kinda embarrassed it took so long but eh, what can you do.

We'll get back to the arts, mostly work up the energy to revisit the ask blog and do some other stuff. Hell, maybe I can post some character reference sheets we made.

Pairing: Sakusa Kiyoomi x Reader

Scenario: #4 Realizing you're in love with childhood best friend c/h

A/n: This has become a primarily Sakusa blog and I'm not complaining. Also the music video for this song made me so soft 🥺

You had always cared for Sakusa, being neighbors meant you saw him often, growing up with his germaphobic tendencies and what he was and wasn't comfortable with.

Parents would talk about how the two of you would make a great couple when older, much to 7 year Old Sakusa and your disgust, because ew, cooties.

Growing older you slowly noticed how sharp his features were getting, and how tall he became.

He wasn't ugly that's for sure.

Once highschool came you assumed that what you were feeling was normal for best friends, of course you would get heart flutters when he would adjust the mask on your face, or lean into you on the subway when a stranger sat next to him.

It was all normal, yeah, you didn't love him. There's no way, growing up you saw the movies and tv shows. You would know if you were in love.

And so you continued going to his games, walking home with him and listening to him open up and talk about the service ace and the no block spike he got in. You would occasionally give your input, talking about how the crowd screamed his name when he scored.

His ears turned red and he cleared his throat.

"Did you cheer?" His eyes are sparkling, still basking in today's victory.

"Of course I cheered." You deadpan, swinging your arms slightly to get warmth in them.

Sakusa smiled, looking up at the sky, stars starting to appear as night falls.

He looks over at you as you shiver slightly, forgetting to bring a coat and not knowing that it would get this cold in the evening.

Sakusa stops and takes his team jacket out of his bag, his face flushed when he holds it out to you.

"It's kinda sweaty, but it should be enough." He's clearing his throat, clearly embarrassed that he only has his sweaty jacket from earlier on him.

You grin and take it, putting it on immediately feeling warmer, and it wasn't just your heart warming at the gesture.

You shift on your feet slightly "Thanks Kiyoomi." He nods and continues walking, making you jog to catch up.

'Stupid long legs, stupid handsome face, stupid pretty curls that fall into his face just right and-" You stop suddenly shocked at your train of thought.

'Of course I'd think he's pretty, he's my best friend.'

You shake your head and jog to where Sakusa's stopped in front of your house, flustered slightly as you begin to unzip his jacket.

"Um, no you can keep it for now. Give it to me tomorrow." And with that Sakusa stiffly smiles and walks next door, allowing himself a glance at you before heading in.

"That was weird." You mumble to yourself, walking to the washer to put the jacket in.

The next morning you carry his jacket while wearing your own. Originally you had planned to wear his jacket, but didn't want others to think you were dating when in fact you were just best friends.

You don't catch the slight disappointment on Sakusa's face when he sees you not wearing his jacket, but Komori does, and he nudges Sakusa slightly, the latter scowling under his mask as you approach.

You hold out the jacket with a smile and thank him for letting you borrow it, and with that you speed away, not wanting to think about how you had slept in the clean jacket, embarrassed that you did that even though it was cold.

In class Komori's leaned forward from where he sits behind you, ignoring the glance that Sakusa gives him from across the room.

"You're in love with him aren't you." You jump at the sudden noise in your ear, and glance to the teacher, thankfully she didn't see anything.

"No I'm not we're just friends." You harshly whisper back, taking notes on what the teacher is writing on the board.

"But do you get butterflies when you see him? How about your future? Do you see him in it?"

Sakusa's eyes narrow when he sees you stiffen at Komori's words and smack his shoulder, his cousin laughing quietly.

He wants to ask you about it after class but you're gone before he can ask and Komori won't tell him either.

It's only later after practice when you catch him outside the gym do the puzzle pieces fit together.

"I'm in love with you." You breathe out before holding your breath.

Sakusa smiles and pulls his mask down to his chin.

"I've always been in love with you."

Hmm, I really don't know. I have my usual things that would qualify but my "obsessions" but they don't often consume me to a high degree, so I have a hard time dubbing anything I like a full blown obsession. 

That being said, it's probably tiktok. The obsession of the moment, I find myself on the app entirely too much because it's just a fun party and oh the things that lead to little research dives are fascinating. Mostly it's the musicians that get me. I love creativity and am forever amazed by the collaborations and straight magic people make in the time allotted... but it takes up way too much of my time when it really shouldn't. I have better things I could be doing. 

3. Ever done any drugs?

Yup.

None. My ears are pierced to the degree I like and I don't really desire anything else to be pierced.

6. Describe your dream home.

The house I live in outdoes anything I could possibly come up with. I'm very happy with my home, but I'd be happy most anywhere. If I'm honest, I'm a bit Aladdin-like when it comes to living arrangements. My dream home list, if I only considered myself, is the very low bar of a roof over my head  that has a beautiful view. Bonus it has a pool but it's not a requirement. 

Clearly, where I live outdoes that by a longshot and I'm very lucky to have the things I have. I'm not unaware of that fact. 

7. Who are you jealous of?

There is no way for this not to sound like a humble brag in my head, but no one. I've never been the jealous type. There's so much unnecessary energy in wanting what someone else has and jealousy is a negative you just don't need in your life. It's much better to focus on your own joy and not worry about what others are doing.

Maybe? But probably not. I don't particularly like my name. It's kind of dull, if I'm honest, but at the same time it's my name and I don't have a replacement in my head for it. So, I'm Sara and I'll forever be Sara. It's alright.

I already answered this, but I suppose my general obsession is pokemon. I like the games and the lore. The whole thing is fun and I enjoy it a lot. 

21. Describe your best friend.

She's like sunshine. She's bubbly and sweet. Anna has optimism for days. She can be a little naive but people also see naivety in what is actually her stubbornness. She won't give up on people even if she should. She sees good in almost everything but she isn't unaware that bad exists.

And because of this her kindness shines. She'd help a stranger without hesitation or a need for anything back. She very much is a person who would stick her neck out to save a life. She brings out the best in people and makes it look effortless. She is kind and caring but has a determination that can tackle damn near anything that becomes an obstacle. Anna's a force to reckon with and not many people realize this truth.

It's getting warmer so, right now, it's an evening with Nikolas on our back patio. Fire up the grill and enjoy a meal outdoors. Maybe spend some time in the pool. End the evening with a warm blanket and a cuddle.

Summer. My skin may take issue with the sun but I like it best when it's warm and sunny and being outside.

When I am listening to music… I probably don't want to talk to you. Leave me alone. I do not like when I'm interrupted when my music is on.

I dislike questions that make me feel like I'm bragging. Or that could be seen as such but my wardrobe wouldn't really change because my boyfriend allows me to use his funds from time to time to have the nicer clothing items I like. Which sit right alongside my jeans I got from TJ Maxx. Legitimately, it probably wouldn't change at all.

Cold brew or if it's cold I typically, latte it's usually a hazelnut

I have but I don't seek it out. Typically the erotica I have read has been tucked away in a romance novel and was far more than I expected it to go from the synopsis or anything before that point.

I have to go with the one where it was clear he asked me out as some sort of revenge date. His ex-girlfriend was at the location with friends and he kept looking over at her trying to see her reaction. It was bad and I dismissed myself as quickly as I could.

🖍️ when did you start drawing? do you remember?  when i was born????? idk i have a huge memory lapse from a lot of my childhood so! i really don’t know, but i’ve been told i took to it pretty quickly

✏️ do you prefer traditional art or digital to relax?  traditional! but it’s hard cause it’s not as pretty / more stressful when i’m not using lined paper / when i’m using lined paper it makes it harder to upload / i can’t use cool colors (i’m terrified of using colors on real paper……) but!! idk it’s just kind of soothing

📏 what’s your go-to canvas size?  that’s been changing recently.. but either 900x900 or 2500x2580! and then just cropping near the end

☕ do you do warmup sketches before drawing? (bonus: do you have any to share?)  yeah! except they really are just. normal sketches i guess. they’re usually the ones that i end up not finishing even part of the face.. but i generally share All of my art (except the ones i’m really anxious about… see below) so i don’t really have. any to show except for.. uh. here)

🙃 which is easier: faces facing left, right, or front view?  front view?… out of those options. i’m just really bad with noses from the side, but generally i hate doing a perfect front view or side view… i like to kinda play round w it

📚 how many layers do you typically use?  80+? but when i use a bigger canvas it limits me at around 45, so then i start merging the ones im ok with. i just like having a lot so that it’s easier to clean up cause i’m paranoid (but i usually end up merging them a Lot towards the end)

🐻 your go-to things to draw when you need comfort?  people? i don’t really draw for comfort.. at least in the way that i think the question means. i basically only draw people anyway so. yeah. (that’s another thing i’m working on;;)

🎁 do you prefer drawing fandom stuff or your own characters?  my own characters……… but no one’s really interested in them? i mean i know my friends are and some of my mutuals but realistically y’all can’t be invested in them as much until i release the actual story? (or like with you, rubi, where you’ve met them through rp smgksd) so it’s kinda been .. boring? because i like showing them to people to make people happy and when it’s my character it really is just For Me. like…. a lot of the things i draw are for me, but often i think of ‘oh x mutual might like it if i drew their favorite character’ even if i don’t tag them in it……. but then, those are usually the ones i don’t post, because my standards raise hugely when it’s For someone. Cyrus and Tj. Tj and Cyrus. You never hear one without the other.

They had been friends since second grade, when Tj had moved from the other side of town, into the house next to Cyrus’. They had instantly become friends.

Over the years, Tj had started to crush on Cyrus slightly, well, at first. Eventually, he was full blown in love with Cyrus Goodman. The thing is, Cyrus never knew. He always thought Tj was being friendly, and no matter how much he wanted Tj to like him that way, he didn’t want to get his hopes up. Though, that didn’t stop him from talking about Tj at every available moment.

“Tj is so cute. Today, he tried to teach me how to play basketball, and he got up close to me, and I could see little speckles of blue in his eyes. It was beautiful,” Cyrus said to his other friends, Andi and Buffy.

“Yeah Cyrus, we get it, you are in love with Kippen,” Buffy said, rolling her eyes.

“I heard my name,” Tj said, sitting down next to Cyrus, “Why are you talking about me?”

“No reason!” Cyrus quickly said.

“Okay,” Tj said, laughing.

At that laugh, Cyrus blushed, sighing slightly at Tj’s adorableness.

Andi and Buffy rolled their eyes, starting up a new conversation as to save Cyrus from Tj catching him staring.

Tj and Cyrus had been flirting for months, both too oblivious to notice it.

Cyrus was walking into his home from hanging out with Tj, when his dad and step-mom were sitting in the living room, seemingly waiting for him to return.

“Hey Cyrus, can you sit down?” His dad, Norman, asked. He did as he was told.

“What is this about?” Cyrus asked, anticipating the worst.

“Your father and I have decided that a change of pace would be good for us and you. We are moving to Arizona,” His step-mother, Sharon, said.

“What? No! I don’t want to move to Arizona! I want to stay here with all my friends! I want to stay here with my crush, T-“ He stopped himself before he could finish the sentence, worried that he had just outed himself to his parents, “Never mind, I will just go tell my friends I’m leaving.”

“YOU’RE WHAT?” Buffy screamed, not caring what the neighbors, or Cyrus’ eardrums, would think.

“I’m moving,” Cyrus said, holding back tears.

“No, this can’t be happening! What are you going to say to Tj? Have you already told him? Are you gonna tell him you like him?”

“No! I’m not going to tell him I like him! I’m just going to walk over to his house, say that I’m moving, and be done with it. Hopefully he won’t be too upset,” Cyrus said, trying to be optimistic.

When Tj heard the news, he was upset, to say the least.

“So you’re moving?” Tj said, voice cracking slightly.

“Yeah, I didn’t want to. My parents think it will be good for me,” Cyrus responded, upset, “I’m sorry.”

“Me too,” Tj said quietly.

Cyrus hugged Tj tightly, letting go a few moment later.

“Bye Tj,” Cyrus said. Then, he left.

It was the summer after junior year, only a few weeks until school was starting up again. Tj was sitting on his couch, looking at pictures of him and Cyrus from before he moved.

After Cyrus moved, Tj decided to become friends with Buffy, as a way to still hopefully keep in touch with Cyrus. Unfortunately, Buffy couldn’t reach him either. Neither could Andi, or Jonah, or anyone. Cyrus had completely gone off the face of the planet.

Tj was deep in thought when he heard a knock on the door. He wanted to go check it, but he didn’t have the heart to get up. The person on the other side of the door knocked harder, then Tj swore he could hear them apologize to the door.

He finally got up, and walked over to the door, opening it slowly, “Look, if your selling something, I’m not interes-“

“I’m not selling anything,” The person said.

The voice was familiar, so Tj’s head shot up, smiling wide when he saw who it was.

“Cyrus?”

“Hey Teej,” Cyrus said, smiling, crying a little.

Tj pulled Cyrus inside, hugging him tightly.

“I missed you so much,” Tj said, burying his head in Cyrus’ neck.

“I missed you too.”

They pulled apart, and Tj led him over to the couch, “So, how are you back? Does anyone else know? I need answers Cyrus!”

“No, no one else knows yet, I wanted to tell you first. Luckily, you still live in the same house you have since you were five. I’m back because I told my parents I was gay, and they kicked me out. So, I knew that it was the perfect opportunity to get out of Arizona. And now I’m back,” Cyrus said, smiling.

“Oh Cyrus, I’m so sorry your parents did that.”

“It’s cool, I never would have gone to Arizona if I knew they were homophobes.”

“Anyway, I’m the first person you told? Why?” Tj asked, hopeful.

“Tj... I needed to get back to you. For the past 4 years, I was only thinking about how to get back to you. I-I love you Tj. I get it if you don’t feel the same way, I just needed you to kno-“

Tj pulled Cyrus into a kiss, wrapping his arms around his neck. Cyrus kissed back, holding Tj’s waist.

When they pulled apart, Tj said, “I love you too. And no matter how much I want you to myself right now, I’m sure Andi and Buffy would love to see you.”

“Oh yeah! Text them to meet you at The Spoon, but don’t tell them I’m back. On our way there, tell me about what I missed.”

“Cyrus! Before we leave, will you be my boyfriend?”

“I thought that was obvious, but yes Tj.”

Tj was sitting in the booth at The Spoon, waiting for Andi and Buffy. He sat so their backs would be to where Cyrus was going to pop out of.

They showed, and asked why he wanted to meet them here.

“Surprise.”

“What?” Andi and Buffy asked in unison.

Cyrus walked up behind them, “Hi I’m Cyrus. I’m going to be your server today!”

“I had a friend named Cyrus. He moved away though...” Buffy said, trailing off when she looked up to see Cyrus there, “CYRUS!”

Andi saw him too, squealing with excitement. They both shot up, hugging him tightly.

After that, he sat next to Tj, and caught up with Andi and Buffy.

Cyrus went to Grant that year. Everyone was so excited to have him back. Though, no one would ever be more excited than Tj, the boy with a ring and a plan to marry the love of his life.

Title: Burn the House Down

Running.

Running.

Running.

You couldn’t stop it. you had to keep going, not even slowing to glance over your shoulder. You had to get away.

If you had just taken that mission, you wouldn’t be in this mess. But you had decided that death – or your apparent death wish – was a better idea.

You had, after all, set fire to that facility. It had shown your clear defiance to the group – and your family.

Now you would have all of HYDRA on your tail, not stopping until you were dead.

You had nowhere to go, but you had to try.

A roar overhead met your ears rockets and you put on a desperate burst of speed through the streets darkened by the overcast sky to get to a place anywhere to hide.

You had to keep going and as soon as you thought that, you were met with a trip hazard, you didn’t know what tripped you up on the street, and you went flying forward, landing head over heels on the street in a puddle from a recent rainstorm. The cold water seeped into your clothes and skin and you groaned, sighed, growled as you stood up to face your attacker, only to be met with that man in red, white, and blue with a shield centered by a star. It was Captain America and you were in the presence of the Avengers.

Thank whatever god existed.

Then you were knocked unconscious.

When you came to, you were groggy and tied up, being carried away.

“Put me down, I can walk,” you grumbled through the waking fog.

Captain America laughed – he actually laughed at you – and said, “Not a chance. You’ll go running off for your buddies.”

“I don’t have buddies. I have enemies. I did, after all, set fire to my parent’s facility.”

Captain America paused. “That was you?”

You could feel your eyelids getting swollen and the blood pooling in your cheeks, making you lightheaded from being inverted and over his shoulder. “Yeah,” you croaked out.

“Why?”

“Because I don’t want to be like them. I would rather be dead than follow in their footsteps.”

He set you on your feet, but your balance was off, with your wrists and ankles bound.

“Care to let me walk on my own?”

“Not particularly. I’m going to wait for backup before I release your feet. I’m not too keen on getting a kick to the face.”

You rolled your eyes. “I’m not going to try to escape. I can help you. I can give you information, and I don’t want to go back.”

He shook his head. “Better to be safe than sorry.”

You blew out a puff of air, buzzing your lips, and growled. “Fine. Whatever gets me far from here and allows me to never go back to that place.”

One of his friends, the catsuit lady – Romanoff, your brain reminded you in shock – arrived and you gawked at her. She was a popular subject at HYDRA, from her training to her betrayal, and you idolized her.

“I’ve got this, Cap. We can release her legs. She won’t be any trouble, and if she is, I’ll just shoot her.”

Maybe you didn’t like her so much anymore. “I’ll be good. I promise.”

Her eyebrow raised beneath her short hair and you stared back at her. Steve stood by as she cut your ankles free and you moved only to step out of the ropes, standing still once you were free.

“I’ll go quietly.”

Natasha checked you for a tracking device, then okayed you to continue on to their transport. She tore off a strip from your jacket and tied it over your eyes.

You supposed they were trying to be careful again.

It took a little while for them to gather their team and pile in, and then explain what you were doing on the transport ship – it made a humming noise, which told you it was likely for cargo and long travels.

The flight was long, but you knew their origins – New York was not a big secret.

You were dragged by your arm to an interrogation room and sat down roughly on a cold metal chair. The whole room itself was pretty chilly and when your blindfold was pulled off, you could see why. The walls were all metal.

“Tell us what we need to know to not send you back.” Captain America and Natasha stood with their backs to a dark, reflective window and you knew the rest of the team was on the other side. You started to tell them everything, the most important parts first like the fire and your determination to not turn into your parents or adopt their “profession.”

They listened, asking questions where you could elaborate, and you gladly gave it up. They were not like your parents’ colleagues. They weren’t going to kill you when you were done. At least the worst they would do to you is lock you up for the rest of your life and that was a more appetizing option than serving a terrorist organization that was born from World War II extremist ideals and the Cold War merger.

It took three weeks, but they didn’t lock you up and you followed a strict schedule and observation. When they decided after four months of that you were not an immediate threat, they loosened their hold on you and gave you more to do, letting you bleed your knowledge of HYDRA dry as well as your theories about projects and rogue agents, even sleeper agents in the United States – they didn’t want another D.C., and neither did you.

You and Captain America, Steve, grew close and developed a tentative friendship as he worked to allow you some basic freedoms, entertainment and simple hobbies that didn’t include electronic access. You were still under lock and key until SHIELD and the Avengers said otherwise, but Steve was trying to keep your mental health up.

You deeply appreciated that and hoped there could be a better friendship in store. After all, he was a bit of a cutie, another thing you withheld from your old family.

You might have even been earning a new family at the Avengers and you could even burn more than just a small hideout – you were looking forward to the day you could burn the whole organization down and walk on the ashes.
