Your puppy was having trouble with fireworks too? Awww, poor baby. I was the designated puppy cuddler last night too! How long did the fireworks last for you? I swear it was like... till 2 am for me. Which sucked. I had work today
Yeah, she's only 4 months old so she's never heard them before lol. It didn't help that my neighbors where the ones setting them off so it was inconsistent and every time i tried to take her outside between them, they'd start setting off more as soon as i put her in the grass.
And wow, 2am was pretty late! I do not envy you lol. I'm somewhat lucky that it only went on until about 10pm for me, b/c my town has a sound ordinance that goes into affect at that time. But yeah, she was not a fan.
Thank you!

Doctor's In - Part 19
Summary: Wanda plans a proposal.
Wanda Maximoff x F!R
It’s hard to believe what you’re hearing.
“I’m sorry, just one more time. I want to make sure I’m getting this right” you plead, trying really hard not to scream.
“I cut my finger in a broken glass” the man explains, calmly. And then he adds the stupidest thing you’ve ever heard. “I cauterized it with a lighter”
Of course! Why would anyone go to the ER when they can just burn their skin off.
“Right. So… let’s try to not do that when medical care is nearby. I’ll apply a bandage and give you a cream”
You work in silence, until he speaks again.
“While I’m here, could I get circumcised?”
With a sigh, you stand up, asking Bucky to finish off for you. Tale as old as time, people thinking that the ER is open for anyone with a strange mole or pain that is not life threatening.
Your phone rings and your shoulders relax immediately.
“Hey, love”
“Hi. Boy, you sound tired” Wanda says, surprised that you’re so defeated after a few hours into your shift. You rarely complain.
“I’ve had the weirdest day, that’s all. People testing my patience, putting nail glue instead of eyedrops”
“Yikes”
“Guys asking if we perform circumcisions”
“Gross. But do you?” she jokes and you laugh.
“Dear God, no. As a lesbian, I’d rather not deal with that area unless it’s truly an emergency”
“Mmhm, and yet you’re so good when you’re wearing the strap” she teases, making you crash against the vending machine. Fortunately, the force knocks a bag of chips and you smile, picking it up.
“Number one, tease. You still owe me over that lap dance. And two, wanna go out tomorrow?”
Wanda’s entire demeanor changes after that, and it’s really hard not to get worried. She’s been like this ever since you mentioned Sokovia.
“I have a lot of work to finish, you know the book release is soon, plus Wendy…”
“Yeah, no. I get it. That’s fine. Maybe I can take the kids out to give you some peace and quiet”
“You know what, my mom loves bowling. Why don’t you all go?”
“Sure” you say, agreeing to anything Wanda suggests. “Alright, I’m getting paged. Hope it’s an actual emergency this time”
“I hope so too” Wanda says, smiling,
“Love you” you say, a bit worried she won’t say it back, but she does and there’s nothing different about the way she replies, adding a soft “my love” before hanging up.
So, maybe it’s all in your head.
Right?
Wanda hates lying to you.
The thing is, she still has to figure out a way to propose. It’s technically not hard to get everything ready without you noticing, considering your shifts can take more than a day. If she only knew exactly what to do.
She’s looking around her studio, thinking about the things you like. Her eyes eventually settle on a copy of her latest book. Thankfully, Laura never had the dedication changed, so she could still give it to you.
Or, she could give you a special copy with something entirely different.
As her mind begins to come up with a plan, Wanda smiles to herself.
Finally, she knows where to start.
It feels weird to have the entire Maximoff gang, minus your beautiful, stunning, out of this world girlfriend.
Darcy would call you a simp if she could hear all your thoughts.
But you miss Wanda and even if you knew she wasn’t joining you tonight, you’re still following her like a lost puppy.
“You’re absolutely sure?” you say, your hands around her waist.
“Yes, detka. I’m sorry. But we’re going to the wedding tomorrow and that’s going to be fun, right? You’ll have me all to yourself”
“Ok” you sigh dramatically, sinking your face in the crook of her neck. “I just miss you”
“Me too. If I’m not too tired we could watch an episode of The Golden Girls when you’re all back” she promises and you squeeze her waist, kissing behind her ear.
“Maybe I can persuade you with my very charming personality…” you place another kiss in her neck, sucking lightly on the skin. “Or with my very skilled fingers”
Wanda moans your name, melting in your arms and you are about to call victory when her mother opens up the door, shouting that it’s time to leave.
“I may have left out a very important piece of information” Wanda stops you before you go out to the foyer to meet her mother. “She gets very competitive…”
“So that’s where you got it from”
“Hey!”
But Wanda can’t continue the argument as Ekaterina walks in, handing you what looks like bowling uniforms. You’re surprised to see it has your name embroidered, and the Maximoff name on the back.
“How did you get this made so soon?”
“I know a guy” she replies cryptically, and you gulp.
Will she scream at you when she sees you know nothing about bowling?
“Come on, we’re going to be late, girls!”
“Oh, I’m staying. I have work to do” Wanda explains, lowering her voice when her mother gives her a stern look.
“Then the teams will be incomplete!”
“I don’t have to play” you jump, hoping that this can be your out.
“You have hands?”
“Y-yes”
“Then you play. Let’s go. Pietro’s meeting us there”
Billy and Tommy are excited as they follow their grandmother out, and you stall in the kitchen.
“You sure you don’t need someone to clean your brushes? Sharpen your pencils?”
“Detka, go” she says, laughing.
“I’m scared” you whine pathetically. She kisses you, her lips moving against yours. It’s so good it makes you forget the reason for your little meltdown.
“I’ll see you later”
Pietro is already waiting for you, knowing that his mother loves to jump right into the game. He’s set two bowling allies, and you split into teams.
You’re pleasantly surprised to see Bucky approaching you.
“Pietro promised me a beer if I joined so you could complete the teams”
Everyone takes a couple of shots to practice and you try to follow their movements. Bucky notices how lost you are, offering his guidance here and there. Your shots are not particularly powerful and the ball leans towards the gutter more often than not.
The point system is beyond your comprehension so you can only nod and cheer when Bucky completes a strike.
Beyond that, the doctor in you is looking at everything in the space (heavy objects, lots of movement, oily floors) and considering the possible injuries.
This is why, when Billy walks past the lane line, you go after him, afraid that he’ll fall. But you’re the only one on your ass as he lets go of the ball a second later, smiling.
“Y/N! That’s not how you play!” Ekaterina admonishes, and you sigh, crawling back to them.
“I’m going to get us more food”
Bucky is right behind you, chuckling as the woman keeps her winning streak.
“Is she a pro?”
“Seems to me” you say, ordering more fries and another soda for you. “Hey, can I ask you about Darcy? Do you have something against her or…”
“I like her”
“See, I told her she was just imagining things and… wait. Like her how?” you realise he’s looking away, a soft blush tinging his cheeks. Your hand flies to his arm and you jump around excited. “You have a crush on Darcy”
“I don’t”
“Nu-uh. You do. Why didn’t you tell me? Or better yet, her”
“I don’t know what to say when she’s around. I mean, I don’t know if you’ve noticed but I don’t speak a lot and she does”
“Right” you nod your head. Truthfully, Bucky is different than the guys Darcy dates (in the best possible way) and it’s been a while. “Well, do you want a wingwoman?”
“Not really” he says, almost looking mortified. “It’s better if she thinks we’re enemies, honestly”
“Sure” you nod, pretending you’ll let the subject go. Bucky’s too naive, though, if he believes you won’t do anything about it.
For a bit, you watch the kids play in silence, while Pietro chats with a woman, obviously flirting while he pretends to correct her posture. Ekaterina, unaware that he’s flirting, comes over and scolds him on his bad technique.
Bucky and you laugh as he comes back to her side, and she forces him to do a couple of exercises.
When you get your orders of fries, you walk back to the group, smirking at him.
“Mama’s boy got cockblocked” you whisper.
“Hey, сука!”
“Pietro!” Ekaterina turns to glare at him, and you poke your tongue out as he gets an earful for the second time in the night.
This is a lot more fun than bowling.
Best part of coming back is that the kids are pretty tired, so they head straight to their room. When you go check on them, they’re both fast asleep, and Sparky pushes the door open a bit wider so he can jump on Billy’s bed.
“Better that than you sleeping with my girl” you say, closing the door.
You think it’s strange that Wanda hasn’t shown up to greet you, so you walk up to her study, knocking once. After the second time, you worry and open the door just a tiny bit.
“Wands? You ok in there?”
“Oh, hey! You scared me!” you notice she’s wearing your headphones, and you smile, opening the door wider.
“We just got back, the kids are asleep already”
You try to step inside but Wanda’s quick on her feet, standing right in front of you.
“Good to hear that. Was Mom good? Didn’t yell at you too much?”
“Nah, she was fine. Pietro got the short end of the stick. What you working on?” you smile, trying to get a look at her sketches.
“Nothing. Are you tired?”
“Not really. I could sit around while you keep working if you haven’t finished yet…” you say, approaching the table. One more step, and the surprise will be ruined. So, Wanda does the only thing that comes to mind.
“Why don’t you fuck me, then?”
That makes you turn.
“Say that again”
“If you’re not too tired, why don’t you fuck me?” Wanda smiles, amused at how easy it was to get your attention.
“Well, I definitely can do that” you walk back to her, carrying her bridal style. “Since you asked so nicely”
The big day is finally here.
One of the brides is not.
Or so Darcy says when you walk into the venue, hours before the ceremony. You’re wearing jeans and a t-shirt, looking as people finish decorating and setting up everything.
Your friend shows up, wearing one of those radio earpieces.
“Nice one, Britney”
“Bitch” she snaps, but then closes her eyes, breathing in and out. “I need you to go get Carol”
“Sure, is she in the dressing room?”
“No. She is at the hospital. Working”
“What? The wedding’s in four hours, she should be getting her hair and makeup done” you look at your phone, thinkig maybe there was an emergency and you had to be at work too.
“Just bring her, please. Abduct her if necessary” Darcy changes into the earpiece, shouting. “No, I requested mauve. Mauve!”
You wished Darcy had told you to get Carol before you even got here. Now you’ll have to drive all the way back to the city, as the wedding is happening at a small inn close to the mountains.
Racing against time, you walk in to ask around for her.
“She’s in OR 3” one of the nurses tells you, with a loaded look. “Doing a carpal thunnel decompression”
“Thanks”
You scrub in as fast as you can, pushing the door to the OR. Everyone stares at you, clearly on edge over Carol’s presence. She’s acting like it’s just another day, and like she’s not two hours behind on Darcy’s very detailed, strict schedule.
“Hey, bride to be” you greet, hoping she stops what she’s doing. With a sigh, you stand up next to her, smiling. “Are you excited?”
“Nope, it’s just another day”
“Well, I call bullshit”
One of the nurses laughs and the rest of the surgical team visibly relaxes.
“You’re getting married today. We still need to do your hair and makeup and a shower wouldn’t hurt either”
“Hey!”
“As maid of honor it is my duty to tell it like it is. Now, let someone else close up, and let’s go”
“I was supposed to do an arthroscopy after this”
“Darcy’s waiting in the car” you lie, knowing fear will be the only driving force to make Carol change her mind.
Sure enough, her eyes widen and she gives instructions to the rest of the team. When she’s washing her hands and scrubbing out, you join her, smiling.
“You ok?”
“I… it’s all so real. For months, we were planning and picking cake and decorations but it’s happening today and it feels like… a part of me is excited, another part of me is scared. Like really, truly terrified. And I don’t know what to make of it”
“It means you have something to lose” you say softly. “But a lot more to gain. It’s gonna be fine. You’ll forget all about it when you see Maria, I promise”
Finally, you get her to leave the hospital. A couple of people wave as you walk back to the parking lot, some of them saying they’ll see you at the party. Carol rolls her eyes when she realises you lied about Darcy, but you just shrug your shoulders.
“I guess I deserve it for being difficult”
“Yeah, you do” you laugh, driving back.
Of course, Darcy ushers you to the room to get hair and makeup, glaring at Carol and asking you to not leave her alone.
“I feel guilty for making Darcy help with everything” Carol says, and you let out a laugh. “What?”
“Did you actually ask her to do anything? She loves bossing everyone around. Should be taking Fury’s job at this point”
“Why are you still here? Makeup, go, go!” Darcy appears behind you a second later, making you yelp.
“Tyrant”
“Lazy ass”
Of course you do as she says, mainly out of fear.
Wanda arrives a little early, checking in as you had decided to stay at the inn instead of driving back home when the party was over.
“Finally, someone who understands the importance of punctuality!” Darcy says as she runs into your girlfriend. “I barely finished and I have to get my makeup and hair done”
“Would you like some help?”
“It’s fine, I’m low maintenance” Darcy declines, but Wanda’s not having it.
“I actually have something I want to ask you… so we could talk while I help”
“Mmm, I do love an efficient approach. Come on then” Darcy says, ushering Wanda into her own room.
She’s wearing a low cut burgundy dress that displays her very generous assets.
“Eyes are up here, Maximoff” Darcy jokes when Wanda’s stare travels a bit lower.
“Right. Let’s begin”
Wanda tells Darcy everything. How she found the ring, but decided to keep it to herself instead of putting pressure on you.
Your casual mentions of a wedding, the trip to Sokovia.
“Finally, she told you. She was terrified you’d be mad” Darcy comments.
“Well, that’s when I realised. Maybe it’s my turn to take the lead. Ask her to marry me” Wanda says, and she can see Darcy’s a bit shocked.
“Interesting. So why do you want to talk to me?”
Wanda smiles, telling her the proposal idea she came up with it. It’s simple, it’s unique, but she has a feeling that it’s something you’ll love.
“Honestly, Wanda? You could get down on one knee while she’s in the toilet and she’d be giddy about it” Darcy says, making Wanda laugh. “But I do think it’s cute and she’ll never ever shut up about it. Was that all?” she says after Wanda stays silent.
The woman sits in front of your friend, checking her makeup one last time, and with a sigh, asks the final question.
“I need your blessing”
“What am I? The Pope?”
“Darcy!”
“The lesbian godmother. First Carol and Maria with their wedding planning and now you…” she rambles, clearly amused.
“Darcy!” Wanda interrupts her, trying to keep it serious. “We both know her mother is the worst person. She’s starting to connect with her siblings. You’re her real family. The one person who’s stood by her through everything. So, it would mean the world to me, to at least know you’ll think of me as worthy of Y/N”
Darcy leans back, eyeing Wanda up and down. It’s hard not to feel intimidated, but the woman holds her ground, staring back.
“Fine, the Lord be with you or whatever it is you want me to say”
“Thank you” Wanda hugs her, excited.
“If you hurt her…”
“I know” Wanda says.
“As long as we agree. Now, let’s get out and see who’s already here so they can get seated”
Wanda helps out as much as she can with incoming guests, showing them where they can grab some refreshments while the ceremony begins.
She’s so focused that she misses an arm around her waist, until she hears your voice, happy as always when you greet her.
“Hey, love”
“Detka, hi…” she turns, but whatever she was about to say next is forgotten when she takes in your beautiful appearance.
Unlike most of the time, your hair is flowing down your shoulders and back in waves, framing your face perfectly. You’re not wearing a lot of makeup, but it’s enough to make your beautiful eyes stand out in contrast to the pink dress you’re wearing.
Don’t even get Wanda started on the dress. There’s a slit on the side that shows your leg everytime you take a step.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you wear a dress”
“Not my style, but I’ll take one for the bride” you joke, adjusting the straps. “Heels too, I’m in agony”
“You look stunning” Wanda says, unable to look away.
The way you blush makes her bite her lip.
“Thank you, baby. Though I can’t wait to take it off”
You mean you’re eager to go back to wearing comfortable clothes, but Wanda’s eyes darken.
“Yeah, I can’t wait either” she says with a playful look, which makes you blush again.
“Hey, quit flirting and get on your spot. Music is about to start” Darcy says, nudging you at the begining of the aisle.
“Damn, Lewis, you’re taking the girls for a walk” you point at her rack, and she flips you off.
“Sorry, I'm late!” someone says behind you and you turn at the familiar voice.
“Belova!”
“Hey, you!” she pulls you for a hug that is much too strong for someone so little. “Missed ya”
“Missed you too. Go, find your seat before Darcy goes insane” you point at Kate, who’s looking around, impatient.
You’re supposed to walk down the aisle with Carol’s older brother, and he joins you a second later, bossed around by Darcy.
“She’s a firecracker” he comments. You nod, standing still and waiting for the music to begin. He leans forward, smiling. “I hear weddings are a great place to meet people”
“Really? I wouldn’t know. I met my girlfriend when I crossed the street to check on her son” you joke, sparing him from taking the flirting any further.
“Right”
“Maybe a lesbian wedding isn’t going to be for you, mate. Well, the firecracker over there is definitely straight, but I’m trying to set her up with someone else”
“Shall we?” we offers his arm, and you accept it with a nod.
Both brides look stunning, and though it’s a very short ceremony, everyone’s crying or at the very least, moved by their vows.
Wanda can’t keep her eyes from you, though. She can’t help but imagine you in a white dress, probably sneaking a very corny joke as you promise to love her for the rest of your lives.
It isn’t long before the drinks start to pour, the food served and the brides take their place at a special table, chatting and laughing.
By the time they have their first dance as a married couple, you’re at the edge of the dance floor, clapping when some fireworks and confetti are set off. The light glow reflects in your eyes and once again, Wanda is enthralled by the view.
Which is why, when more people begin to dance, she approaches you, offering her hand.
“A dance, m’lady?”
“Why, I couldn’t possibly say no” you smile, allowing her to lead.
“Have I mentioned you look beautiful, detka?”
“Yes, but I don’t mind hearing it again” you blush, your hands going around her waist. “Now, I don’t mean to ruin the moment, but have you given any thought to that trip to Sokovia?”
“Well, I… I’m not sure yet” Wanda lies, but almost gives in when she catches the disappointment in your face. But if she tells you the answer, it will ruin the surprise. Instead, she does something that will surely distract you.
Bumping her nose against yours, Wanda leans forward to kiss you. You smile against her lips, pulling her closer. The both of you are so caught up in your own little world that you don’t notice the bouquet that is flying in the air and crashes against your heads.
“Aww” Wanda laughs.
“What the fuck?” you turn around, noticing everyone’s clapping as Wanda takes it in her hands, admiring the flowers.
“Looks like we have two future brides” Carol says, smiling as she waves at you. “Now move so Maria can toss her flowers”
“Wait! I need to get Darcy! Be right back”
To your surprise, she’s still wearing her earpiece, arguing with catering about things no one really cares about.
“Hey. You’re not enjoying the party” you say, trying to take the earpiece away from her.
“I’m working”
“You’re a surgeon, not a party planner. And I don’t see anyone needing a limb removed, or anything of the sort. Come on” you take her hand, leading her to a table. You tap on Bucky’s shoulder, and he pales when he sees Darcy right behind you.
“Please tell me you didn’t”
“Darcy, why don’t you and Bucky dance?” you cut him off, smiling innocently.
“Pass” Darcy says, but you shove her right into his arms, stealing her earpiece. “Hey!”
But you walk away before she can chase you, going back to Wanda. She waves the bouquet and you accept it. Your girlfriend has taken it as a sign to set a date for her plan.
“Hey, there’s a private party for the book release next Friday. Are you free to go?”
“Absolutely, anything for you, my love” you pull her close, kissing the tip of her nose.
You keep talking and drinking, catching up with Yelena and you also notice that Darcy is still dancing with Bucky. They’re actually talking, and you hope that Darcy can at least let go of the idea that they are enemies.
Most people leave to drive back to the city, but you hang around until Carol and Maria are ready to leave for their very short honeymoon in Cabo.
“Wear lots of sunscreen and drink margaritas” you say goodbye to them. “And don’t think about work. We’ll be just fine”
“Oh, trust me, our phones will be off” Maria says, smiling as you hug her. “Thanks for everything. Have you seen Darcy? We want to say goodbye to her”
“She’s… huh” you turn around, looking as she’s chatting with Bucky in the bar. “Busy, I guess?”
“Someone just lost five dollars” Carol makes fun of Maria.
“I won’t pay until we settle that other one”
“What other one?” you ask, curious.
“If your wedding will be the next one we attend” Carol laughs.
“Well… yeah, no comment. Come on, leave before you miss your flight”
Luckily, you have a room at the inn because you absolutely don’t feel like driving back to the city.
“Did you hear from your mom? Are the kids doing ok?” you ask Wanda, sittig on the bed and removing your shoes with a sigh. “I am never wearing heels again”
“Yes, detka. Relax, everything’s fine” she says, coming back to the room wearing a bathroom robe that looks beyond comfy.
“Help me with the zipper, please?” you say, pushing your hair out of the way. She pulls the zipper down, releasing you from the fabric until the dress is pooling at your feet.
“Not so fast” she says, hands around your waist.
You laugh when she kisses the spot between your neck and shoulder, tickling the skin.
“Had fun?” you sigh, melting in her arms.
“Yes. I drew us a bath, come on”
When you’re finally in the bathtub, Wanda goes in, relaxing against your front.
“I like weddings” she says suddenly, and you chuckle.
“Yeah? Were you dreaming about your wedding when you were little?”
“Oh, I used to do this ceremony with my teddy bear. He was real handsome. We got married a couple of times” Wanda says, smiling at the memory.
“Guess I’ll have to fight Mr. Bear to set the record straight” you mumble, struggling to keep your eyes open. Between Wanda’s warmth, the water and the candles she lit, you could pass out any minute now.
“What about you?”
“What about me?”
“Did you ever think about your wedding? As a kid, I mean”
“Not really. My parents weren’t married, so I guess I only thought that people had kids. Learning what being married meant came later. But I like it. As a concept, I mean. Having someone to be your partner, through everything… it doesn’t sound bad”
“Right” Wanda agrees, smiling as she imagines what the future holds for you two.
“Surgeons are terrible spouses, though” you warn her, which makes her laugh.
“I don’t believe that. Not from you, at least”
“Mmm, time will tell” you yawn, making Wanda turn. “Sorry. Just tired”
“Come on. Let’s get to bed”
Just as Wanda thought, you’re asleep the minute you settle in bed. As she watches you dream peacefully, her heart beats faster at the prospect of the future.
She can’t wait to propose.

If you’re interested can you write a fic where reader has met Spencer’s mom and she absolutely loves reader and r mentions in front of the team when they have a case in Vegas “if we have time can we go see mom?” So the team thinks that they’re dating. They both get all flustered and deny repeatedly. Eventually the get together and kiss maybe where the team saw? So they’d go like “aweee” making them both embarrassed again
profiler!reader (1.5k celebration)
“looks like we’ll be staying an extra day here in vegas due to weather in quantico. so everyone enjoy your free day, but remember to be back here at one pm tomorrow.” and with the announcement done, hotch disappeared further into the hotel leaving behind the group of agents with toddler excitement.
“i say we go gambling, see who’s got the best hand.” derek suggested as he rubbed his hands together.
“we all know it’d be reid anyway,” jj pointed a painted nail in spencer direction. “i’m actually banned from most casinos in las vegas, especially the ones on the strip.”
emily and derek’s brows raised at the information. “naughty boy,” emily teased.
“well games like black jack just require math and card counting is technically illegal. also they are drenched in the smell of cigarettes and it’s extremely loud, so i’m okay with my sentence.” waving away any chances of them dragging him to those areas.
“oh!” you perked up and smiled at spencer, “we could visit your mom, i haven’t seen her for a while. i wanna hear more baby spence stories.” nudging your elbow gently against spencer’s stomach.
his features softened as he gazed upon you, his cheeks growing warm. “she’d love that. heard she’s been doing better the past month.”
“i’m sorry,” derek’s voice popping up beside your head, he slung an arm over your shoulder as he pointed a finger between you and spencer. “you’ve met mama reid?”
you shrugged, “yeah a few months ago when we had another case here. she’s a sweet lady.” smiling at the product of all her love beside you. spencer pulled that tight lipped smile that you adored, heart fluttering just a touch.
“so how long have you two been together if you’ve met his mom?” jj asked when she and rossi got closer to your circle.
your cheeks grew warm at the assumption and you heard spencer stutter over his tongue. “we- we’re not da- dating. friends can meet family.” it felt like spencer just took a giant step away from you.
“uh huh.” was all you heard from rossi before he decided he was bored and wandered off by himself. the other three quickly left the conversation at that when they agreed to a few rounds of slots and a drink or two.
once it was just you and spencer you were ready to quickly retract the plans but he turned to you and asked if you were ready to head out. you happily accompanied him on his visit to see diana reid.
five months later
“those two are definitely dating now.”
emily looked to her left to see rossi beside her as they both watched how close you and spencer stood. the two of you were always close to each other, physically and emotionally, so this just seemed normal to the bau.
but a well trained eye could see the slightest difference. “their pinkies are locked together.” rossi whispered to the lady.
“and their glances at each other aren’t quick or hidden, they’re opening staring at each other.” emily pointed out another detail she noted before rossi joined her side.
“‘bout damn time. getting tired of their silent puppy love crap, almost got my eyes stuck to the roof of my head from all the eye rolls.”

The Christmas Boyfriend — yjh
Tumblr media
summary: when you tell your mom the little white lie that you have a boyfriend, you don’t expect it to evolve into bringing your friend with benefits home for christmas. what can go wrong?
tags: fluff, smut (minors dni), fwb, fake dating, college!au warnings: ok the smut is likes less than 2k words of this fic tbh, conversations about birth control, mention of unsafe sex, explicit sex, oral, fingering, praise, cum eating, creampies wc: 12.7k an: guys im not used to writing jeonghan so if his characterization is off im so sorry fdsak anyways writing this made me want to go ice skating :((
Tumblr media
“Sweetie! I’m so excited for you to come home for Christmas!” Your mom calls over the phone.
“Yeah Mom, me too,” you say with half sincerity.
“Oh and make sure you bring that cute boyfriend with you too! I want to meet him, you’ve told me almost nothing about him!”
You pause. Boyfriend? Boyfriend.
Oh shit.
“Hey Mom?” It was the end of summer and you were about to go back to university.
“Yes sweetie?” Your mom was bustling around the kitchen getting ready for dinner.
“Do you think that I could go on birth control?” These worlds made your mother stop.
“Birth control? Why do you need to go on birth control? I know your cycle is normal, so who are you having sex with? Oh please don’t tell me you’re sleeping around,” your mom huffed exasperatedly.
“I’m not!” Technically you weren’t sleeping around. You were sleeping with one person, repeatedly. “I have a boyfriend Mom, and we use protection, but it would be nice to have an extra layer of protection.” It was…somewhat the truth. You tried to use protection but every once in a while you…didn’t. You’d taken a lot of Plan B lately.
“A boyfriend! Why didn’t you tell me? Tell me all about him!” The problem is…you didn’t have a boyfriend. You had a Jeonghan who periodically fucked you during the school year. You hadn’t seen him all summer but you knew that as soon as the school year started again you guys would start right back up.
“His name is Jeonghan, he’s studying business. We’ve been dating since the beginning of the year.”
“Oh tell me more! I want to know, please. I have to meet him immediately.”
And that’s how you spent the rest of the day making up half-lies about Jeonghan and convincing your mother to let you on birth control.
You honestly forgot you told your mom that lie, and now it’s coming back to bite you in the butt. You hadn’t brought him up to your mom since and now you either have to tell her you guys broke up or you have to convince Jeonghan to spend part of winter break with your family pretending to be your boyfriend. Knowing your mom, the latter will be easier.
“You told your mom WHAT?” You decide to tell Jeonghan after you guys finish having sex.
“I told her…that we’re dating.”
“Why?”
“You came inside me two minutes ago, you really wanna ask why? She would be so upset if she knew I was in a friends with benefits situation but if I tell her I have a boyfriend that I trust and care for, she’ll let me go on birth control.”
“Why did you have to ask her to go on birth control?” Jeonghan asks as you start to get dressed.
“I’m a college student Jeonghan, birth control isn’t free and if I ask my mom I can put it on her insurance. C’mon can you do this one thing for me? My mom is a great cook and it only has to be for a little bit, only one day really!”
“This really means that much to you?”
“Yes.” You’re practically making puppy dog eyes at him now.
“Well, you know, I just so happen to need somewhere to stay during winter break. So…I guess I’ll be staying with you and putting on the best show for your mom. You’re lucky I think you’re cute.”
You just grin at him.
“Sweetie! You’re home! Honey come here, our daughter is home!” Your mom runs out of the house to greet you, scooping you up into a hug. “Oh, oh, is this him?” She glances over your shoulder excitedly to where Jeonghan is standing behind you by the car.
“Mom, this is Jeonghan…my boyfriend.” You have to force the last bit out.
“Oh he’s so handsome! It’s nice to finally meet you Jeonghan, I’m so happy you’re joining us for the holidays.”
“Thank you for allowing me to stay with you.” Jeonghan accepts your mom’s hug.
“Of course! You’ve been dating my daughter for almost a year now, anything you need we’ll be here.”
“Is that them?” A booming voice comes from the house. You look over to see your dad and brother standing on the porch.
“Honey, come meet Jeonghan! Look how handsome he is!”
You sigh, it’s already going to be a long four weeks.
“I’m…sorry about them,” you tell Jeonghan when you’re finally alone in your room, where your mother insisted Jeonghan stay with you. For someone who disapproves of casual sex, she sure does support ‘healthy love making between couples’. You don’t even want to think about her and your dad.
“I can’t say you didn’t warn me,” Jeonghan chuckles. “They all seem really nice though.”
“They’re…something,” you mutter. “I hope you don’t mind sharing a bed. Once again I’m really sorry about my mom.”
“It’s fine, I’m serious, stop stressing out. It’s not like we haven’t shared a bed before,” he jokes.
You roll your eyes. “That reminds me. We have to lay down some ground rules.”
“Ground rules?” Jeonghan cocks an eyebrow curiously, and a bit skeptical.
“Yes. I know it sounds silly and cliche, but really, we need to talk about it.”
“I don’t know what the big deal is. We just have to pretend to be a couple, that’s not hard. Hugging, kissing, all that gooey stuff.”
“What if my parents ask about our relationship? Are you sure you’re okay being coupley with me all the time? I-”
“Babe,” Jeonghan starts, “stop worrying. You make it seem like you have zero faith in me. Trust me, I can be the best fake-boyfriend you’ll ever need.” You scrunch your nose up at him calling you ‘babe’ in a non-sexual setting, but you guess you’ll have to get used to it.
“Still…if you even want to back out, just tell me and we can make up some excuse for you having to leave or-”
Jeonghan cuts you off once more, “Stop worrying. It’s the holiday season, let’s have fun! If your parents ask about our relationship just leave it to me.”
You stare at Jeonghan unsure, all too familiar with his antics. You can tell Jeonghan is about to counter your look when all of a sudden your door is flung open.
“Mom said dinner is ready!” Your brother announces.
You admit defeat on having this conversation with Jeonghan, leading him downstairs to where everyone is taking their place around the dinner table. The table feels just slightly cramped with the addition of the chair added for Jeonghan squeezed in next to yours. The top of dinner is quiet besides a few “could you pass the salt” or “this tastes great Mom” thrown in. It isn’t until your dad is going in for seconds when your mom speaks up.
“So, Jeonghan, tell me about yourself. Pumpkin has barely told us anything about you.”
You internally groan at the childhood nickname your family still insists on using for you, and you hope it goes unnoticed by Jeonghan. Unfortunately, not much slips past him.
“Pumpkin?”
“A terrible nickname from when I was little,” you explain, slightly glaring at your mother.
“I think it’s cute.” You so desperately want to smack the smug look off Jeonghan’s face.
“It is cute,” your mom interjects. “It’s based on these adorable photos we took during her first fall. We did a photoshoot and put her in a pumpkin, it was just darling. Remind me later and I’ll pull out the photobooks.” Your mom winks at Jeonghan and you’re starting to realize just how big of a mistake this was. “Now, back to what I was saying. Tell me about yourself, Jeonghan.”
“Well there’s not much to say. I’m a business major, I enjoy sports and spending time with my friends.”
“He’s an amazing singer,” you jut in. You’re not sure why. Maybe it’s because Jeonghan is selling himself short. “He’s a part of the University’s choir. And he models for the fashion students.” You can see Jeonghan blush under your praise.
“Aw, that’s nice. And how did you two meet?”
“We met through a mutual friend, and then ended up having a class together the following semester. First time we met I thought she was the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. I’m just lucky she gave me the time of day.” Jeonghan makes a show of grabbing your hand in his, clasping them together on the table. Even though you know it’s for show, the display makes your stomach flip a bit.
You do take note that his story is true for the most part. At least the part about you two meeting and then sharing a class. You’re pretty sure the part about you being “the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen” is just fluff to appease your mom. It does the trick though, as your mom coos at Jeonghan’s words.
She continues to ask Jeonghan questions about himself and your relationship, and Jeonghan keeps delivering. He tells her stories about him attempting to flirt with you and you being too oblivious to realize. You roll your eyes the whole time, knowing what he’s actually talking about. The three weeks he spent continuously trying to hit on you before you finally agreed to go on a date with him.
Speaking of the date, Jeonghan also tells that story. In real life what happened with Jeonghan invited you over to watch a movie, you both got a little tipsy, and ended up fucking right on his couch. Neither of you asked for a second date, but did start to booty call each other, so that’s something. The way Jeonghan tells it to your mom is a lot more…wholesome.
“We went out to see a movie, her choice of course.” Lie, Jeonghan forced you to watch The Notebook. “Then afterwards I didn’t want the date to end so we got dessert and went back to my apartment. We spent the whole night talking before she eventually fell asleep on my couch. It was adorable.”
“Oh stop,” you mutter, trying your best to sound playful.
“It’s true. The way your nose twitches when you’re dreaming and the little huffs you let out. How can I find that as anything but the cutest thing ever?” Jeonghan then leans in and presses a quick kiss to your warm cheeks.
You’re aware you do those things in your sleep, it’s something you’ve done ever since you were little, but you weren’t aware that Jeonghan knew about them. Everytime you sleep over at Jeonghan’s, or he spends the night at yours, he always complains in the morning about how you elbowed him in your sleep all night.
“Oh you two are just so cute!” Your mom exclaims. She then turns to you, “How dare you keep him away from us for so long.”
Your brother is obviously doesn't care for the topic of conversation and excuses himself from the table. Your mom realizes that dinner is now officially over and she and your father start to clean up the table.
“Don’t go far, Jeonghan. I need to show you those baby pictures!”
“Noooo.” You tug on Jeonghan’s sleeve, like it might somehow convince him to go back upstairs with you, but of course not. Of course Jeonghan wants to see all of your baby photos.
You know this shouldn’t really bother you this much. Everyone has baby photos. The issue is you were an extremely unphotogenic baby. Your brother has maybe some of the cutest baby photos you’ve ever seen. Not you. You look like a gremlin, to the point your baby photos became a meme between you and your friends in high school.
Your mom makes a pot of coffee for all of you before she’s shuffling into the living room and pulling out the large fifty page photo album of you from newborn to age four. Jeonghan follows suit and you reluctantly take your place next to him on the couch.
The first few pages aren’t bad. They’re all photos of you still in the hospital when you were first being held by your mom and dad, swaddled in a cute little pink blanket that you know your mom has stored somewhere up in the attic.
The first bad photo doesn’t show up until a few pages in, after you were brought home. It’s a photo of you crying, your face all scrunched up in an ugly expression. You think it’s hideous but it’s one of your dad’s favorite baby photos of you. Jeonghan chuckles slightly and you shove him lightly.
Shortly after that the infamous pumpkin photo shows up. It’s you sitting in a pumpkin, a stupid, blank look on your face as you chew on the pumpkin. There’s a little orange beanie on your head that’s just a little too big for your head.
“Aww, look at that little pumpkin,” Jeonghan giggles.
“Shut up,” you grumble, glaring down at the picture.
Unfortunately for you, it only gets worse from there. There’s the photos from when you were two years old and constantly had messy hair and a stupid expression on your face. And then the photos of you at three when all you would do was pout at the camera. Then the photos from when you were four and somehow every photo was taken at just the wrong second.
Your mother and Jeonghan have a great time, cooing at each photo, your mother giving an anecdote every once in a while. It isn’t until near the end that Jeonghan finally looks over at you, on his other side. He smiles at the slight pout on your face.
“C’mon babe, stop pouting.” Jeonghan scoots closer to you, sliding his arm around your waist and pulling you into him. Even if it’s just for show, you can’t help but admit it is slightly comforting. Jeonghan then leans in and whispers to you. “You have nothing to be embarrassed about. You really are the cutest little baby. I mean that’s not a surprise, you’re still cute, aren’t you baby?”
Your face heats up at his words. You’re not sure why he’s laying it on so thick when you’re sure your mom can’t even hear him. You suddenly stand, trying to subtly get distance between you and your fake boyfriend.
“Well, it’s getting late and I’m tired after all of that traveling today. We’ll see you in the morning Mom.”
Jeonghan finally allows you to pull him back upstairs and into your room. You let out a deep sigh as soon as the door is closed and you move to start getting ready for bed.
“Are you okay?” Jeonghan asks you as he changes into his pajamas as well. “I didn’t make you uncomfortable or cross any boundaries did I?”
“No, no, you’re fine,” you assure him. “You’re just doing what any boyfriend would, so keep it up, actually.”
“Okay…” Jeonghan says, the skepticism in his voice. You don’t say anything else though and Jeonghan drops it, thankfully.
You both crawl into bed and you try not to think about how you can feel his body so close to yours. As you close your eyes you can’t help but think you’re not sure how you’re going to make it through the rest of the break.
“We’re going Christmas tree shopping today!” Your mom announces cheerfully when you and Jeonghan make your way downstairs for breakfast.
“You guys haven’t gotten a tree yet?” You ask.
“We were waiting for you,” your mom explains. “So we could go as a family and then decorate it together.”
After breakfast your whole family piles into your dad’s car and you take off to the Christmas tree lot. There’s Christmas music playing on the radio as you drive and you can hear Jeonghan softly sing along.
You’ve always liked Jeonghan’s voice. You find his high, light voice angelic and you could listen to him sing all the time. You tune out the chatter of your parents in favor of listening to Jeonghan the whole ride there. A part of you is glad that only you can hear him, taking this as a moment for yourself.
As soon as the car parks and you all climb out of the car, Jeonghan reaches over and grabs your hand in his. You look over at him to see him smiling at you and you smile back. There’s a bite in the air as you two walk through the trees and you appreciate the warmth of Jeonghan’s hand in yours.
“Oh, what a darling couple,” you hear an old couple whisper as they walk past you two.
“Hear that? We look darling together, darling” Jeonghan jokes after they’re out of earshot. You roll your eyes but there’s a smile on your face as you playfully knock your elbow into Jeonghan’s side.
You and Jeonghan continue to walk around, looking at trees, until your father finds you two to tell you that your bother found the perfect tree. Your brother is bouncing around when you three make your way to the tree and he looks at you and Jeonghan proudly.
“Good choice, little man,” you tell him.
“Yeah, looks like a great tree,” Jeonghan agrees, which makes your brother smile even more.
Your family is standing in line to pay for the tree when your mom gasps. You look over at her to see her giddy face as she points up. You glance up to see the sprig of mistletoe places directly over you and Jeonghan’s heads.
“Well look at that,” Jeonghan says amused. “It looks like we have to kiss. By the laws of Christmas of course.”
“By the laws of Christmas?”
“Of course. I don’t want to end up on Santa’s naughty list,” Jeonghan teases you. You shake your head, smiling.
“If you say so.” You lean in and press a kiss to Jeonghan’s lips.
You’ve never actually kissed him outside of having sex, but it comes surprisingly natural to you. Jeonghan wraps his arms around your waist and pulls you in closer for just a moment, before pulling away. The tip of his nose and ears are pink and there’s a slight twinkle in his eye and he grins at you.
“You have cooties now,” your little brother announces from beside you and you and Jeonghan both burst out laughing.
On the ride back home, your whole family sings along to the radio, and your mother compliments Jeonghan’s voice, which makes him flustered.
After you get back home, your dad and Jeonghan struggle to get the tree to fit through the door as you and your mom snicker at them. After they finally get it into the living room, you, Jeonghan, and your brother get to work decorating it. When your brother asks why your parents aren’t helping, your dad says he did all the work by paying for it.
The three of you (mostly you and Jeonghan) spend way too much time untangling lights before you string them up, finally allowing you to get to the good part. Your family’s ornaments are stored in a large plastic tub and you get to work digging through them. You’re not sure how many your family owns, but you’re sure it’s enough to cover three trees in whole. The tub isn’t organized in any way and you do your best to pick and choose which ones you think will make the best decorations.
Jeonghan kneels down beside you and starts to look through the tub as well.
“These ornaments are cute,” Jeonghan comments as he picks up a small stuffed animal snowman with a loop attached to it. He reaches over to place it on the tree.
“Yeah, it’s a part of my grandparents’ gift to us every year. An ornament for both of us.” You pick up a decoration with a family picture on it and you hang it up.
“You were so small in that one,” Jeonghan says, referencing the picture you just added to the tree.
You glance over the photo. You’re maybe five or six, way before your brother was born. You’re squished between your parents on a bench with Christmas lights behind you. You’re bundled up in a puffy winter jacket and a hat is squashed into your head. It’s a sweet photo.
“You know, this is all quite unfair,” you tell him. “You’re going to have to show me your childhood photos at some point now.”
“Now I don’t know if that was part of the deal.”
“Well we might just have to make it so. I’d love to see tiny little Hannie.”
“Maybe I could strike up a deal…”
You’re about to make a comment on Jeonghan’s sneaky ways, when you feel a tap on your leg. You look down to see your brother standing next to you with a sled shaped ornament in his hand.
“I need help putting this on the tree.”
“I got you buddy.” Jeonghan moves over to pick your brother up, lifting him up so your brother can place the ornament on the tree.
The moment is oddly sweet and when Jeonghan lets him down, he gives your brother a high five after. Jeonghan walks back over to the tub before picking up an ornament. After closer inspection you realize that it’s the ornament shaped like a little bunny with a fluffy cotton tail and a pink scarf. You quickly lunge forward and snatch it out of his hands.
“Aish!”
“Sorry!” You exclaim, holding onto the ornament. “But you can’t place this on the tree.”
“Why not?”
“Because…,” you hesitate, suddenly embarrassed.
“That’s her favorite, she has to place it on the tree every year. In its special spot,” you mom answers as she walks into the room, carrying a tray of cookies.
Jeonghan just chuckles before leaning in to wrap his arms around your waist and kissing your cheek. You flush, trying not to think too much of it. It’s just because your mom is standing in the room. “That’s so cute. In its ‘special spot’?”
“Yes,” you mumble. You move out of Jeonghan’s grip to lift the ornament and place it at the top of the tree, right under where the star sits. The idea is more embarrassing now that Jeonghan is staring at you, the smug little grin on his face, but you can’t ignore tradition just because you know he’s going to make fun of you later.
“Are there any more special ornaments I should know about, darling?” Jeonghan asks and you smack him lightly, both for the comment and the teasing nickname he’s picked up.
“No. Decorate at your free will.”
Your brother is now more interested in the cookies your mom brought in, leaving you and Jeonghan to finish the tree off. It’s weighted down by all of the ornaments you’ve hung on it by the end. You reach down into the box to grab the tree topper.
“All that’s left is the star,” you announce.
“Jeonghan should put it on,” your mom suggests and you hold it out to him.
“Oh no, I couldn’t.”
“We insist,” your mom tells him.
“C’mon Han, just do it, make her happy.” You nudge him a bit and Jeonghan finally takes it before reaching up on his tiptoes to place the star on top. You and your mom cheer and you can see the small smile on Jeonghan’s face.
With the finishing touch on the tree, you’re able to step back and look at your masterpiece.
“I think we did a pretty good job,” you say.
“I think we did the best job, and I should know. I’m a tree decorating veteran.” Jeonghan wraps an arm around your waist. You glance up at him, only to be surprised by him pecking you on the lips. You don’t even have time to react, the kiss smooth like you two do it all the time.
Jeonghan doesn’t bat an eye, turning back to stare at the tree. You feel your stomach flutter.
So here’s the thing. It’s not like you wouldn’t date Jeonghan, he’s a great guy, a close friend, but you two just never evolved into that part of your relationship. The issue when you’re hooking up with someone is that it’s intimate. You’ve spent the night at each other’s apartments, you share the same friends, you have strangely deep pillow talk with one another. It’s all under the same impression that you’re just friends with benefits, but now you’re here, in your childhood home, pretending to be a couple. The circumstances are completely different and now you don’t know how to feel.
All you know is that Jeonghan keeps kissing you with no sexual undertones under it, and maybe you like it a little too much.
When you wake up the next morning, Jeonghan is already awake on his phone. He looks over at you and snickers before turning his phone towards you. On his screen is a photo of you asleep, your mouth wide open and a bit of drool running down your cheek.
“Delete that!” You shout, suddenly wide awake. Jeonghan giggles as he stands up and runs out of the room. You chase after him, yelling at him, until you two make it to the kitchen.
“Well! You two are lively this morning,” your mom comments. She’s standing at the stove cooking breakfast with a fond grin on her face.
“Good morning!” Jeonghan says, a smug smile on his face as he slips his phone into his pocket. “That smells great. Do you need any help?” Jeonghan gestures to the plates sitting on the counter, waiting to be put out.
“Oh honey, no, no, you go sit. You’re a guest.”
“Are you sure?” Jeonghan asks and your mom nods.
“Of course. Pumpkin, you can help me.”
Jeonghan moves to the dining table while your mom moves closer to you, a giddy look on her face, as she hands you the plates.
“Pumpkin, you’ve really found yourself a keeper,” she whispers to you. “Jeonghan is such a sweet young man.”
“Uh, yeah mom, thanks,” you mutter.
It’s not like you don’t know Jeonghan’s a great guy, but the truth is you two aren’t dating. It’s not like you can tell your mom that, but you don’t know how long you’ll be able to keep up the lie after you two leave after break. It was easy when he was just a random name you threw out, but now your mom has actually met him, and he’s doing a little too well at charming her.
And maybe you too. It’s only been two days of pretending to fake date Jeonghan and somehow you’re already questioning your whole relationship with him. You don’t know if your heart will take fake dating him for any longer than you have to.
You and your mom head towards the table where Jeonghan sits next to your brother, looking invested in whatever your brother is talking about. You take your seat on the other side of Jeonghan as your mother sits across from you.
“So, any plans you two have for today?”
“Uhm, not at the moment,” you reply.
“You two should go ice skating! A new place opened downtown. I’m sure all the cute young couples are going there.”
You perk up at the idea. Ice skating has always been a fun winter tradition for you and now you have a reason to go. Right as the sun is starting to set, you and Jeonghan take off downtown. The city is dressed up in lights and it excites the child inside of you.
“Isn’t it pretty?” You ask Jeonghan as you walk down the street.
“Isn't what pretty?”
“The lights. Look at them. It really gets me in the Christmas mood,” you say.
“Oh, yeah. They do look nice. Oh, there’s the skating rink.”
The rink is large and already filled with several people from other couples to families to people just skating solo. There are lights surrounding the rink and you can hear Christmas music playing out of speakers nearby.
You and Jeonghan go and rent your skates before putting them on and heading towards the ice. You slide onto the rink first and then wait for Jeonghan to follow. You watch as he steps out on the ice and moves to push himself forward, only to fall directly on his ass.
You stifle a laugh before reaching down to help him up. As soon as he’s back up Jeonghan moves over to hold onto the wall.
“Is this a bad time to tell you that I’m not very good at ice skating.”
You actually allow yourself to laugh out loud this time. “Why did you agree to come?”
“I don’t know, your mom seemed so excited about it and so did you.”
You smile before skating up to Jeonghan’s side. “That’s sweet of you Han, but we don’t have to continue if you don’t want to. We can just walk around downtown and look at the lights.”
“No, I want to do this,” Jeonghan states, determined.
“Okay, okay. At least let me help you out.” You move your hand to grasp Jeonghan’s and you start to move. Jeonghan gently lets go of the wall to follow you, his grip on your hand tight.
You skate effortlessly, trying not to giggle as Jeonghan does his best not to fall and pull you down with him. You’re skating much slower than you’re used to as Jeonghan clings to your arm.
“How are you so good at this,” Jeonghan whines as you two stop to take a break.
“Ice skating is a family tradition for me. Don’t worry, you look cute.” You reach up to straighten the fluffy hat on his head.
The moment feels oddly intimate, which is an interesting feeling considering you two have seen each other naked. It almost feels like you two are an actual couple, out on a cute Christmas-y date.
If you’re being honest, Christmas has always been your favorite holiday. You love the whole season and the feeling of family and joy and love. When you were little you always dreamed of having a great Christmas romance, and now you have it, it’s just…fake.
You look at Jeonghan to see the soft pink dusting his face and ears and you wonder if it’s because of the cold or if he’s thinking the same thing you are.
“Aww, you two are so cute.” The moment is broken and you look to the side to see an older couple skating up to you two. “Would you like us to take your photo?”
“Oh, um, sure!” You reply, pulling your phone out to hand to them. Your mom did tell you to take lots of photos.
You skate back over to Jeonghan and position yourself next to him, wrapping your arms around his waist as he wraps an arm around your shoulders. You two lean into each other, smiling at the camera. After that photo is taken you lean in to press a kiss to Jeonghan’s cheek.
The couple then returns your phone and bids you a goodbye. You flip through the photos and Jeonghan peeks over your shoulder at them.
“You should send those to me.”
You look at him curiously. In all the time you’ve known Jeonghan, you’ve never known him to care much about having photos of you two together, even as just friends, but you shoot them over to his number anyway. You then grab his hand again and continue to skate.
Even with Jeonghan’s poor skating skills, you two still have fun. The Christmas music sets the mood as you two skate around the rink and you can hear Jeonghan humming along as you skate. The moment is nice.
You two skate for about an hour before Jeonghan’s feet start to hurt and you two decide to put the skates up and pop into a nearby cafe to grab some hot chocolate before exploring downtown more. There is a tree put in the center of the plaza and you and Jeonghan take a few more photos to show your mom.
In the midst of hooking up with Jeonghan, sometimes it’s hard to remember you two are friends as well. You’re a bit glad for this whole fake dating thing, because it gives you a chance to hang out with Jeonghan in a non-sexual manner. It reminds you of how much you like Jeonghan as just a person and how you enjoy spending time with him. It’s really nice.
It’s late into the night when you two finally head back to your house. The lights are already all off and you and Jeonghan creep up to your room quietly, as to not wake up anyone else. You two quietly change into your pajamas before crawling into your bed.
There’s a slight chill in the room and you slide over to Jeonghan to try and get warmer. He accepts you into his arms and you two lay there in silence for a moment before he begins to speak.
“You know, I wasn’t sure about this at first, but I’ve been having a lot of fun. Your family’s great.”
“Yeah…they are. Thanks for doing this for me by the way.”
“I mean, it benefits me too, right,” Jeonghan chuckles.
Right. The reason you’re doing this in the first place: the birth control.
It’s weird to think about now that you’re here. Jeonghan has seemed to blend into your family so well, you nearly forgot the reason this started to begin with.
“Hey, are you okay?” Jeonghan asks.
“What? Oh yeah. I’m just…tired. I think I should try to sleep.”
“Yeah, okay…goodnight.”
When you wake up, Jeonghan is still asleep next to you, and you glance at the clock to see it’s strangely early. It’s then that you hear the tapping on your door and you stand up to crack it open. Your mom is standing on the other side of the door with a paper in her hand.
“Sweetie, sorry to wake you up, but I need you to do me a favor today.”
“What is it Mom? Is everything okay?”
“Oh yes, nothing wrong, but I need you to go out and buy these things for me.” She passes you the list and you scan over it before shooting your mom a look.
“You haven’t gotten the presents yet?” You hiss. “Christmas is in like four days!”
“I know! Me and your father haven’t had time to go with your brother around. Please? Here’s my card.” She passes you her credit card. “You can pick up some gifts for yourself as well. Bring Jeonghan along, get lunch, make a day out of it. Please, Pumpkin?”
“Yeah, sure, Mom. I’ll get it all.”
“Thank you!” Your mom hugs you quickly before leaving. You sigh, staring down at the list. There’s quite a few things on it. The closer you look at it you realize there’s also gifts for your extended family and your father on it. You huff, you have your work cut out for you. At least your mom has marked what store you can find each item.
You walk over to the bed and shake Jeonghan until he wakes up.
“Wha’?”
“Come up, get up. We have a long day of shopping ahead of us and I want to beat the crowds.”
Jeonghan grumbles a bit more but rolls out of bed. You two get dressed before climbing into your car and heading towards the store. You stop at a coffee shop to get both of you take out cups and head to the first store.
Your brother’s Christmas list is mainly toys, which you guess you can expect from a five year old. The toy store is already bustling with people and you grab a cart and Jeonghan’s hand so you don’t lose each other. You make your way through the aisles, doing your best to find everything on the list.
“What about this one?” Jeonghan asks, holding up a green race car. You frown.
“No. He doesn’t like that shade of green, and he already owns three green cars. He wants a purple one…aha! Here it is.” You grab the one on the back of the rack before throwing it into the cart. “Okay. I think there’s toy dinosaurs a few aisles down, and then we should have everything here.”
You two continue through the store before you find the aisle full of different dinosaur themed toys. You pick up a book for you to gift your little brother yourself and then look over the toys.
“He already owns a t-rex, a stegosaurus, and a triceratops,” you mutter more to yourself than Jeonghan. You glance through the toys before landing on a dinosaur with a long neck. “Brachiosaurus, perfect.”
You place this in the cart as well and then turn to Jeonghan, who is smiling at you. “You’re a good big sister, you know that?”
“I’m just doing what my mom asked me,” you tell him as you push the cart towards the check out.
“No I mean, you pay attention to him. You know what toys he already owns and what colors he likes. It’s sweet.”
You brush Jeonghan off again, but the words cause a warm feeling to bloom in your stomach. You two stand in the check out line for what feels like forever before you’re able to leave. As you two are walking to the car you look over at Jeonghan and realize he deserves something for Christmas as well. He’s spending the whole break with you and your family, it’s the least you can do.
“Oh shit, I forgot something. Here, take the car keys, I’ll be back in a flash, I promise.” You hand him the keys before running back into the store before Jeonghan can protest.
You weave through the people before making it to the Lego aisle. You’ve seen all of the models inside his apartment, and you figure this will be a good gift for him. You search through the different kits to find the best one, before settling on the electric guitar set. You’ve seen him play the bass a couple of times, and you hope Jeonghan will still appreciate the thought.
The line is a bit shorter this time and you make sure the box is well hidden in the bag before making your way back to the car. You store the bag in the back before slipping into the driver’s seat.
“You got everything you need?” Jeonghan asks and you smile and nod.
“Yep! On to the next place.”
The next store is less exciting than being in a toy store and it seems to be even busier. You and Jeonghan hold hands once more as you walk through the store. His humming to the Christmas music on the speakers calms you a bit, and you allow yourself to enjoy the Christmas spirit more.
You and Jeonghan make it through the store, and another one before you decide it’s time for a lunch break. You two find a cute Italian place to sit down and rest your feet. You’re waiting for your food to arrive when your phone dings and you see an Instagram notification. You open your phone to see Jeonghan has tagged you in a post.
The first photo is the two of you at the skating rink, your arms wrapped around each other. There are a few more photos. A photo of you holding your hot chocolate while looking at the lights. The selfie you two took in front of the tree in the plaza. The final photo is a photo of you putting an ornament on your own tree at home. The post is captioned Christmas 🎄🎁☕.
“Our friends are going to think we’re crazy,” you tell Jeonghan. In theory, your friends know you and Jeonghan are sleeping together, but you’ve never explicitly said it, and they most definitely don’t know that Jeonghan is spending Christmas at your house.
“So? Let them. Those are cute photos.” You can’t argue with that and you drop a like and repost it to your story.
When you finish up lunch there’s one more store you two have to hit. There are only a few odd and end items left and you can’t wait to get home. You and Jeonghan are looking at sweaters when you feel someone bump into you and you lurch forward a bit.
“Watch it,” the man growls.
“Hey!” Jeonghan shouts, wrapping an arm around your waist to steady you.
“What?” The man turns back around.
“You bumped into my girlfriend.” Despite this not being the moment to get flustered, hearing Jeonghan call you his girlfriend even without your family around sends butterflies into your tummy.
The man and Jeonghan have a stare down for a moment before the man huffs out a pathetic “sorry” before walking off.
“Thanks Han,” you say before you place a soft kiss on his cheek.
“Well, some people just belong on the naughty-list,” he says, which makes you chuckle.
By late afternoon you two finally finish shopping and you get a text from your mom that tells you she’s taken your little brother to the grocery store so you and Jeonghan have time to get the gifts in the house without him seeing. You and Jeonghan quickly bring everything to your room before closing the door. You make sure to slip the present for Jeonghan under your bed before he notices and you then turn to him.
“Want to help me wrap these presents?”
“Of course.”
You and Jeonghan sit on the floor of your room, where Jeonghan soon finds out you’re awful at wrapping gifts.
“It’s so easy. It’s just folds and tape,” Jeonghan says as he places a piece of tape on the most perfectly wrapped present you’ve ever seen.
“Oh shush. I usually use gift bags okay? And now I have you, so you can wrap all of the presents from Santa, and I can do the rest,” you declare as you scribble a To: Mom onto the present you finished wrapping.
“Fine, but only because you’re the worst gift wrapping elf I’ve ever seen.”
Though you know it’s meant as an insult, you can’t help but smile at the cuteness of his sentence. You’re also just happy you don’t have to wrap more gifts than necessary.
It’s late when you wake up the next morning, due to the fact you went to bed late last night. You and Jeonghan stayed up to finish wrapping presents and then you two got onto talking about family Christmas tradition and before you knew it, it was two am.
The bed is chilly and when you sit up to look, the other side of the bed is empty. You wrap a blanket around you and head downstairs to see Jeonghan and your mom sitting at the table talking. When you look out the window it’s a world of white and you start to feel giddy.
“It snowed!” You exclaim. “Hannie, we have to go play in it!”
You know it’s childish, but you can’t help it. You quickly get dressed and put on your winter coat and gloves before heading outside. A few minutes later, Jeonghan exits the house as well, your brother in tow. You search through your garage before you find your sleds and the three of you take a short walk to the park down the street. There’s a big hill next to it and you all take turns riding down it.
“C’mon, ride down together with me.” Jeonghan pats the space in between his legs on the sled and you climb on.
Jeonghan pushes off and then wraps his arms around your waist as you two go speeding down the hill. You can feel the snow fly back into your face and your sled goes tilting before you and Jeonghan are completely thrown off. You two land in a heap together and you both start giggling. You roll over in the snow and start to make a snow angel and Jeonghan does the same.
When you stand up and assess your work, you pull out your phone to snap a photo of the two angels next to each other. You’re just putting your phone away when you feel something cold and hard pelt you in the leg. You look over to see Jeonghan with a mischievous grin on his face, already aiming his next snow ball.
You quickly bend down to grab snow and form your own ammo, while also trying to dodge the onslaught of Jeonghan’s. You two go back and forth, throwing snow at each other, before Jeonghan finally ambushes you and grabs you by the waist and tackles you down into the snow.
You two are breathing heavily as Jeonghan hovers over you. There’s a twinkle in his eye and snow in his hair and you think that this might be the prettiest you’ve ever seen Jeonghan. You’re not sure what comes over you, but you reach up and grab him by the collar of his jacket, pulling him down to connect your lips to his.
Jeonghan melts into you, kissing you back. You two lay there in the snow, kissing, until you hear commotion next to you.
“Ewww.” You both pull apart to see your little brother standing over you two. You and Jeonghan both blush and Jeonghan climbs off of you before helping you up. “I’m getting cold, can we go back home now?”
Neither you nor Jeonghan make eye contact as you grab the sleds. Jeonghan gives your brother a piggyback on the way home when you get inside your brother pulls Jeonghan off to go play video games together. You’re grateful for the break, still a bit flustered from your intense kiss earlier.
You’re luckily able to ignore the boy for the most part for the rest of the day, until it’s time to go to bed. You and Jeonghan shuffle around each other awkwardly until you decide to finally bite the bullet.
“Hey, about the kiss earlier, I’m sorry. I-”
“No, it’s okay!” Jeonghan cuts you off. “Don’t worry I uh…I liked it.”
“O-oh, okay,” you mumble.
Neither of you say anything else as you two climb into bed. You’re not sure if you should move closer to Jeonghan until he reaches over to tug you towards him. You slot yourself into his arms, and you hope he can’t feel your heart beating a million beats per second.
You’re glad you didn’t make anything weird with Jeonghan, but now you’re afraid you may have made things a lot more complicated for yourself.
“You two are on cookie duty,” your mom tells you and Jeonghan as she bustles around the kitchen. She’s been stressed since you two woke up. You suppose that’s fair when it’s Christmas Eve, and it gives you a good reason to not think about you and Jeonghan.
“Can I help? I want to make cookies for Santa!” Your little brother exclaims.
“If you want to, buddy,” you tell him.
“Yay!”
“There’s a recipe book in the cupboard, and I should have picked up all of the ingredients the other day,” your mother continues.
“We’ve got it Mom, no stressing, okay?”
“Okay. Thank you Pumpkin.” Your mom kisses your cheek before running off to finish errands.
You clap your hands together. “Let’s get to baking.”
There’s several cookies your mom has requested you to make and you get to work on the dough for the chocolate chip cookies, while Jeonghan works on the sugar cookies. The chocolate chip cookies are fairly easy and you’re able to pop them into the oven while Jeonghan and your brother are cutting out shapes into the sugar cookies.
“This one is shaped as a snowflake,” your brother explains to Jeonghan as he stamps the dough.
“Ah, I see,” Jeonghan says and you grin. You work around them as you grab the flour to start making gingerbread.
Right as you’re walking past Jeonghan, he spins around, running into you and getting a cloud of flour all over both of you. You can hear your little brother giggling as Jeonghan huffs a laugh.
“You know, darling, this is pretty cliche,” Jeonghan says, still grinning.
“It would only be cliche if I smear frosting on the tip of your nose,” you tell him, continuing to walk past. “But, don’t count that out yet.”
By the afternoon the house is warm and filled with the sweet scent of baked goods. The cookies are cooled and all three of you have already sneaked one or two for yourselves as you sit down to decorate. Your brother has been given the task of frosting the sugar cookies for Santa, while you and Jeonghan get to work building a gingerbread house.
“Look, not to brag, but I’ve come in second place every year for my family’s gingerbread house contest.”
“Second place? Why not first?” You snicker.
“Because my cousin is an architect, okay. It’s called an unfair advantage.”
You giggle once more. “If you say so, Hannie. Here, you can make the shingles with these.”
The two of you work in harmony, decorating the little house with all of the candy. When the house is finished you two move onto making the little gingerbread man.
“Look at little Hannie,” Jeonghan says, holding up the gingerbread man he just made. It’s decorated to look like Jeonghan, even done with his signature smirk.
“Very cute,” you tell him. “But your hair isn’t that long anymore.” You reach over and swipe some of the icing used to make his hair off of the cookie before reaching up to smear it on Jeonghan’s nose.
“Oh I see,” Jeonghan hums, doing his best to keep the grin off his face.
“I told you, don’t count it out yet.”
Before you can even stop him, Jeonghan is dipping into the bowl of frosting and swiping a streak over your cheek. You squeal as Jeonghan grins proudly.
“There, now we’re even.” You fake pout at Jeonghan slightly and he playfully rolls his eyes before leaning in and kissing your cheek, right over the icing. When he pulls away, he’s licking his lips. “I’m sorry, but revenge just tastes so sweet, darling.”
It’s your turn to playfully roll your eyes now, not at all upset with Jeonghan’s antics.
You finish up your gingerbread self as well and place it next to Jeonghan’s in front of the house. Jeonghan pushes his towards yours even more, so their hands touch. “Look, they’re now holding hands.”
“You’re so stupid,” you tell him, but you’re smiling.
“You like that I’m stupid,” Jeonghan teases.
“Maybe…but only a little bit,” you say, but it’s enough to make Jeonghan grin from ear to ear.
It's a Christmas tradition in your house to spend Christmas Eve watching everyone’s favorite Christmas movies, and this year your brother is actually able to make a suggestion.
“Jeonghan, sweetie, you get to suggest a movie as well,” your mother tells him as she readies the hot chocolate.
“Really? I wouldn’t want to impose?”
“You should know by now you’re not imposing, and if anything, it’s Christmas Eve, you deserve to have some cheer as well. It will be nice to have something new in the lineup of movies.”
Your mom starts to pour the hot chocolate into mugs before sliding the reindeer shaped mug towards your brother. It’s his favorite cup to use, even when it’s not the Christmas season, though it was originally gifted to you.
“No Mom, let Jeonghan have it.” Your brother declares as he pushes the mug towards Jeonghan.
“For me? Thank you!”
You lean in towards Jeonghan. “He must really like you. He doesn’t even let me use that mug, and it belongs to me.”
After the hot chocolate and cookies have been passed out to everyone (and your brother has set some out for Santa), you all move into the living room. Your parents sit in their chairs and your little brother places himself on the floor right in front of the TV. You and Jeonghan move over to the couch where you naturally slot yourself into his arms, you two cuddling up together as you throw a blanket over your laps.
The first movie of the night is your brother’s choice, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It’s a classic and you can’t be mad at the choice. The whole time Jeonghan keeps making jokes only loud enough for you to hear and you keep giggling, causing your brother to glare at you, causing you to elbow Jeonghan in his side.
“You better not distract me when we’re watching my movie,” you warn Jeonghan.
Jeonghan throws his hands up in fake surrender. “Oh darling I wouldn’t dare.”
Your favorite Christmas movie is A Charlie Brown Christmas and you make your family watch it every year. For you, it never gets old, and you watch it with what can only be described as stars in your eyes. You know Jeonghan finds it amusing, but you can’t help your love for all things Peanuts and something about that silly little Christmas tree brings you joy.
Instead of your parents choosing a movie, Jeonghan gets to choose this year, and you’re thankful you don’t have to watch your dad’s choice, A Christmas Story. Instead Jeonghan chooses the Jim Carey version of The Grinch, which makes you grin wide.
“That’s my second favorite Christmas movie. Did you know that?”
“Nope, I guess we just have great taste, darling.”
“Of course we do. I mean, we’re dating each other,” you flirt and you watch Jeonghan duck his head in embarrassment.
Jeonghan shifts his position so you’re sitting in between his legs, leaning back against him. His arms wrap around your waist as he rests his head on your shoulder. It’s cozy and your heart feels full at the moment.
You know none of it is real, that it’s all fake for something as trivial as birth control, but right now, you so desperately want it to be real. Enough that you’ll let yourself believe it is, even if it’s just for a moment.
It’s late when the movie is finished and your brother is doing his best to keep his eyes open.
“Hey little man, if you don’t go to bed soon, Santa won’t come,” you tell him as you pick him up in your arms.
“B-but Santa has to come,” he mutters in a sleepy voice.
“Well then let us put you to bed.” You carry your brother to his bedroom, Jeonghan following you behind.
“What if I can’t sleep? Is Santa still going to come?”
“I’m sure you’ll be able to sleep, buddy. Do you want us to read you a story?”
“Please?”
“Hey Han, there’s a copy of The Night Before Christmas in my room, could you go grab it?” You ask Jeonghan and he nods. He comes back a few minutes later, holding the book. He settles next to you on the bed and you hold the book open for your little brother to see.
You and Jeonghan take turns narrating the book until your little brother’s eyes droop down and he’s fast asleep. You and Jeonghan quietly sneak out of the room and slip into yours. Due to the presents being hidden in your room, it’s your turn to play Santa.
You and Jeonghan carry the presents to the living room before placing them under the tree. It looks picture perfect when you two are done. You and Jeonghan move over to the plate of cookies set out before both grabbing one and tapping them together.
“Cheers,” Jeonghan says.
“Cheers, to our success at playing Santa.” You both bite into your cookies, making sure to leave crumbs on the plate for your brother to see in the morning. You split the glass of milk, leaving a few drops at the bottom.
“Look.” Jeonghan points up and you catch sight of the spring of mistletoe. Your family has never been ones to do mistletoe and you wonder if your mom put it up this year just because she knew Jeonghan was going to be with you.
You’re surprised you didn’t see it earlier, but to be fair you haven’t been home much the past few days, and even when you have you haven’t been near the fireplace.
Right then the clock in your house strikes midnight, and you lean in to kiss Jeonghan. He wraps his arms around your waist, pulling you into him, as you cup his face. You two kiss for what you’re sure is much longer than it needs to be before pulling away.
“Merry Christmas, Jeonghan.”
“Merry Christmas, darling.”
“Santa! Santa, Santa, Santa! Santa was here!” You wake up to screaming and you barely have time to process what is happening when your bedroom door is flung open and there’s a tiny body attacking you and Jeonghan.
“Yeah, buddy, we know,” you mumble as Jeonghan yawns loudly. “We’ll be there in a second.”
“You better be.” With that your brother leaves and you and Jeonghan decide it’ll be best if you two make your way into the living room.
Your parents are both already in the living room, both of them looking tired as well. Your brother is eagerly sitting in front of the tree, inspecting each present as he waits for you and Jeonghan to shuffle over to the couch. Jeonghan sits down and you practically sit on his lap with how close you get to him, cuddling into his side, wishing you were still asleep.
“Merry Christmas! Say hi to the camera,” your dad says as he holds his phone up to record your little brother.
“Hi!” He says while waving enthusiastically. “Merry Christmas! Can I open my presents now?”
Your mom chuckles before telling him to do so.
You watch with half interest as your brother opens his presents, doing your best to wake up. Jeonghan is warm against you, though, and it makes you more sleepy. It isn’t until your brother is almost done opening his presents from Santa that you’re awake.
As soon as your dad has picked up all of the wrapping paper, you move towards the tree to open your own presents. It’s nothing much, as you really only asked for clothes and a few other things for your apartment. The life of a college student.
When you’ve thanked your parents for your presents you hand them their presents from you. You’re satisfied at the giddy your little brother has for the dinosaur book you got him and he gives you a giant hug.
“Pumpkin, what’s that present left under the tree?” Your mom points at the final present under the tree.
“It’s my present for Jeonghan,” you say as you pick it up and hand it to the boy.
“You got me something?” Jeonghan asks you, a bit of awe in his face.
“Of course.” You sit down next to him and press a kiss to his cheek. “I hope you like it.”
Jeonghan rips the wrapping paper off to reveal the Lego set underneath, and Jeonghan gasps. There’s an excited grin on his face as he looks between the box and you.
“You got me this?”
“Yeah, I noticed the sets in your room and thought you’d like this. I know you play the bass but-”
Jeonghan cuts you off by lunging forward and kissing you. You melt into him, reciprocating the kiss. When you pull back, there’s a twinkle in his eye. “Thank you, it’s perfect.”
“Oh, let me take a photo!” Your mom exclaims. “Go stand in front of the tree.”
You know there’s not fighting your mom and you pull Jeonghan over. You press your sides together, smiling at the camera. Your brother wants on as well so you two pick him up and hold him between you two.
“Aww, my babies, you guys look so cute! Okay, now who wants breakfast?”
You’re standing on your back porch, watching the snow fall, when you hear steps approaching. When you turn around you’re not surprised to see Jeonghan approaching you.
“You know, you didn’t have to get me anything for Christmas. Let alone a Lego set.”
You shrug. “I wanted to. You’re doing this for me, and I wanted to give you something to show my appreciation.”
“Well thank you. It means a lot to me.” Jeonghan moves closer to you and wraps his arms around you. You accept his hug, snuggling into his arms. “I’m sorry I didn’t have anything for you.”
“It’s okay. I didn’t expect you to. You just being here is enough.”
Jeonghan pulls away from you slightly, so he can look you in the eyes. You can see him struggling to say what he wants to, before he eventually just spits it out. “There’s something I need to tell you.”
You furrow your eyebrows. “Is everything okay?”
“I…I’ve really enjoyed the past week, and it’s made me realize I need to be honest with you. I really like you, and I have since we first met. We had that first date which ended in us having sex, and when you never brought up a second date I kind of figured you just wanted to keep it on a physical level. I didn’t mind, but I guess I always kind of wanted it to be more,” Jeonghan admits. “And being here, and spending all this time together and not having sex, it kind of made me realize just how much I like you.”
You can feel your heart beating in your chest as Jeonghan speaks. He likes you. Yoon Jeonghan likes you, and has had a crush on you since you first met. The notion makes your stomach erupt in butterflies.
You stare at him, his cheeks slightly pink from the cold and white snowflakes dotting his black hair. He looks like an angel.
“I understand if you don’t like me back, but I needed to tell you that. I’m not sure what this means for us but-”
It’s now your turn to cut Jeonghan off with a kiss. Your hold on him tightens as you pull him into you and Jeonghan eagerly accepts. He moves his hands to cup the back of your neck, holding you gently as he deepens the kiss. You’re both a little breathless when you pull apart and Jeonghan has a giant smile on his face.
“I like you too. A lot. And being here made me realize I want this to be real, if you do too.”
“Yes. I would love that.”
“Well then, I hate to inform you that I don’t think we can be fake dating anymore, as I have a very real boyfriend.”
“Is that so?”
“Oh yes. And he’s very handsome and talented and a very good kisser.”
“Well it’s a good thing I also have a very real girlfriend, who is also a very good kisser.” Jeonghan’s face gets closer to yours as he talks before he leans in fully at the end, kissing you once more.
“Your father and I are going to go look at Christmas lights with your brother. Would you two like to join?” You mom pokes her head into your bedroom where you and Jeonghan are cuddled up on your bed, watching a movie.
You've been spending the day just enjoying each other's presence. You've also been answering sporadic texts from your friends, asking about you and Jeonghan after your Instagram post earlier.
You posted the photo of you kissing his cheek in the ice rink, the photos your mom took this morning, and a photo of your gingerbread men holding hands, captioned My favorite present this year ♡. Your friends have been hounding you about it since.
You glance at Jeonghan and down at your laptop before turning to your mom.
“I think we’ll just stay here,” you tell her.
She just smiles at you two. “Okay, have fun. We’ll probably be gone for a few hours.” Neither you nor Jeonghan miss the wink she sends you two.
You can hear the garage door open and close as your family leaves and you and Jeonghan both glance at each other. You’re not quite sure what the rules are on how long you should wait to have sex after becoming a couple, but then again, it’s not like you and Jeonghan haven’t fucked before.
“Do you want to-”
“You know just because we-”
You both stop talking when you realize the other one is. You gesture for Jeonghan to continue.
“Just because we’re now officially dating, doesn’t mean we can’t still have sex,” Jeonghan says. “Unless you want to wait.”
“No, I actually was going to ask if you uh, wanted to have sex.” You almost feel awkward, talking about it, like you two haven’t been hooking up on the regular for over a year.
You’re relieved of the uncomfortableness as soon as Jeonghan turns to kiss you. After a week of kissing for show, it’s nice to finally kiss him for yourself. As strange as it might be, it feels nice to kiss Jeonghan like this. Though you’re excited to see where dating Jeonghan takes you, hooking up is how you know him best.
Jeonghan moves your laptop off your laps and climbs on top of you, pressing you into the bed. Though you’re used to sleeping with Jeonghan, there’s still a new air to this. You don’t think you’ve ever seen Jeonghan so eager to fuck you, but you can’t say you’re complaining at all.
Your lips slide together, deepening the kiss, as Jeonghan’s hand ghosts your waist. You can feel his tongue swipe against your lips right as he starts to push his hand up under your shirt. You gasp when you feel his hand grope your tits and Jeonghan takes that moment to slip his tongue into your mouth.
You whimper as you feel his hand slide under your bra as well, his fingers playing with your nipples. His tongue explores the inside of your mouth and you suck on it slightly before pulling away all together. As you take a moment to catch your breath, Jeonghan moves down to suck at your neck.
“F-fuck, Hannie,” you whine.
“So pretty, darling,” Jeonghan mutters.
You push Jeonghan off of you slightly, so you can remove both your shirt and bra. With your chest now bare, Jeonghan takes the liberty of wrapping his lips around your nipple. He flicks the bud with his tongue, while his hand shows the other one some love. Your body arches up into his touch as you feel your cunt clench down around nothing, desperate to have him inside of you.
Jeonghan must realize this as well, and he pops his mouth off of you. “Want me to touch you, pretty girl?”
“Please,” you beg. You wiggle your hips a bit and Jeonghan chuckles as he hooks his fingers into your waistband and slides both your pajama pants and underwear off in one go. Like he’s on autopilot, Jeonghan reaches down and starts to rub at your clit with two fingers.
“Fuck, you’re so wet already. Do you want my fingers or my mouth?”
“D-don’t care,” you mutter, already enjoying the pleasure of his fingers pressed against you. “Pick one. Both. Whatever. Just please, don’t stop touching me.”
You gasp a bit when Jeonghan pushes your legs apart even further, allowing himself to slip in between them. He leans down and starts to kiss your thighs, leaving small nips every once in a while. When it’s clear you’re too impatient for this, Jeonghan closes the gap between his mouth and your pussy, pressing a kiss to your entrance. From there, it only gets messier as Jeonghan darts his tongue out to lap at your arousal. He licks a thick strip along your slit, stopping at your clit so he can wrap his lips around it. You moan as you feel him suck on the bud.
His hands are holding on tight to your thighs, keeping them apart. His tongue swirls around your clit and you buck your hips up as your hands fly to grip onto the sheets. You’re sure you look pathetic, but you don’t care if it means you can get head this good.
His mouth switches between sucking your clit and licking at your entrance. You’re dripping slick now, even as Jeonghan licks it up. He buries his face between your thighs deeper, and you’re sure his face is a mess now. He drags his teeth against your sensitive clit and you whine loudly.
Jeonghan seems to be happy with his affect on you and he finally gives attention to how empty you feel. His finger rubs your slit for a second before he pushes it inside of you. You’re completely drenched and his finger glides in with ease, allowing him to slide a second one in not long after.
His mouth is still working at your clit as he fucks a third finger into you. He thrusts them deeper each time, curling them back to hit the soft spot of your walls. It pays off to have someone know your body so well, and you can already feel your brain going fuzzy as Jeonghan knows all the right places to hit.
Your abs tighten as you can feel yourself approaching your orgasm. Your thighs clamp down around Jeonghan’s head as a warning, and then you’re shaking as you reach your high. You moan freely, your hands grasping at the sheets, as Jeonghan continues to work you through it.
When your body has calmed down, you sink into the bed, allowing yourself to rest for a moment. Jeonghan has finally come up for air, his whole face shiny with your arousal. You grab him a tissue and he wipes off his mouth and fingers.
“You’re turn,” you whisper as you push Jeonghan down onto the bed. He’s still completely dressed you and push his shirt up to kiss down his stomach before pulling down his pants and underwear like he did to you.
His cock springs free, fully hard and leaking. You slot yourself between his legs and waist no time taking the tip in between your lips. You suck gently before working your way down his length. After doing this many times, you’ve had practice taking him, and you can completely get his whole cock down your throat.
Though Jeonghan isn’t very blessed in the girth department, his cock is the longest you’ve ever been with, being able to reach deep inside you and down your throat. You bob your head up and down, letting his tip hit the back of your throat, before you pop off his cock, wrapping your lips around the shaft as your hand fondles his balls.
Your tongue darts out so you can run it against his cock, swirling it around the rim of his tip. You can hear the stuttered breathing of Jeonghan above you, as you back to sucking at the head of his cock. His pre-cum coats your tongue, and you have to admit, the salty taste brings you joy.
“G-gonna cum,” Jeonghan mumbles before he’s spilling his load right into your mouth. You do your best to catch it all, but some still slips out and drips down your chin, which you think makes Jeonghan cum even harder. “Fuck, your mouth is so good.”
You pull your mouth off of Jeonghan, swallowing the rest of the cum in your mouth, and Jeonghan groans. You crawl back up to Jeonghan’s face, kissing him. If the fact you just had his dick in your mouth bothers Jeonghan, he doesn’t show it.
“Need you in me, Hannie,” you tell him.
“Okay baby,” Jeonghan responds. He flips you over, so you’re laying on your back. He removes his shirt, so you’re both completely naked, before leaning down to kiss you again.
You’re not sure how his cock is still hard, despite just cumming, but you can’t complain when you feel him rubbing his tip against your slit. His kiss deepens as he pushes inside of you, your walls clenching down to mold against his cock.
You try to relax, but he feels so good sliding into you. After a moment he’s fully inside of you, his tip pressed snug up against your cervix. Jeonghan slowly slides out of you before slamming back in. Your pussy is soaking wet and you’re sure Jeonghan’s cock is drenched, if the wet squelch was any indicator.
Jeonghan starts to slowly thrust in and out of you, building up his pace as he goes. Your thighs hug his hips as you wrap your legs around him and your fingers dig into his back. You can feel his mouth suck at your collarbone as he slams into you harder.
His cock reaches deep in you, the drag of his cock against your walls causing your brain to go even more incoherent. All you can think about is Jeonghan and his body against yours and his cock fucking you so good. There’s a reason you’ve let him hit with no strings attached for so long, it’s just even better now that you can fully call him yours.
“You feel so good around me,” Jeonghan mumbles into your neck. “Perfect fucking pussy.”
“Love your cock,” you mumble back. “So deep inside.”
“Fuck, need you to ride me.”
You and Jeonghan take a moment to reposition and then you’re bouncing in his lap. Your grip onto his shoulders tight for leverage as you fuck yourself on his cock. His cock hits as a new angle in this position and all you can do is moan like a bitch in heat.
Jeonghan reaches down and grabs onto your ass, guiding you up and down his cock as he squeezes the flesh. Your tits are bouncing wildly in Jeonghan’s face and he leans forward, sucking one into his mouth. You throw your head back as your eyes flutter close, lost in your pleasure.
Your thighs get tired at some point and you start to just grind against him, his cock curving up into you at just the right angle. Jeonghan can sense your neglected clit and he reaches down to start rubbing circles into it. Your cunt clenches down, and both you and Jeonghan can tell you’re about to cum soon.
“Need your cum, Hannie,” you tell him, your words slurring together. “Fill me up.”
“Anything for you, darling,” Jeonghan says, half delirious himself.
It only takes one final jerk of your clit to have you trembling around him. Your pussy walls fluttering against his cock as you fall forward against Jeonghan, your body twitching as you cum. You can feel Jeonghan’s cock throbbing inside of you as he cums as well, filling you full of his seed.
You both lay like that for a while, with Jeonghan still inside of you as you exchange soft kisses. When it’s clear you need to get up, you slowly lift yourself off of Jeonghan’s cock, and you can feel his cum slide out of you.
“Fuck, we need to wash my sheets,” you mumble.
“Okay, but let’s cuddle for just a bit longer.” And well, you can’t say no to that.
“Oh, we hate to see you two go,” you mom says as Jeonghan finishes putting your things into your car. “Visit soon, okay? And bring Jeonghan as well.”
“Yes Mom, I will.” You lean in to hug her.
“Thank you for allowing me to stay with you guys over break,” Jeonghan tells your mom and she pulls him into a hug as well.
“Thank you for being such a good guest. And for being such a good boyfriend to our Pumpkin. Visit soon, okay sweetheart?”
“Of course.” Jeonghan smiles at your mom.
“Bye-bye!” Your little brother says as he hugs your leg. You reach down and pick him up so you and Jeonghan can hug him in between you two. You press a kiss to his cheek.
“Bye, buddy. I’ll see you soon, okay?”
“Seen you soon!” You let him down and he runs off.
“Text me as soon as you get to your apartment.”
“I will. Okay, we really have to go.”
“I love you,” your mom says as she kisses your cheek.
“I love you too.”
“Okay bye Pumpkin, bye Jeonghan.” You both wave before climbing into the car.
As you take off you reach over and grab Jeonghan’s hand.
“Well it seems this was a successful trip,” Jeonghan says.
“Very,” you agree.
You not only got a boyfriend, but now you don’t ever have to tell your mom you lied to her to get on birth control. It’s really a win-win situation in your eyes.
You glance over at Jeonghan to see him already staring back at you. Yeah, it truly is a win.

I finally bit the bullet and moved out for college. I was so excited to start classes and get settled into my dorm. My mom had her worries, along with my dad, but nothing could beat the overwhelming joy I had in branching out on my own.
There I was, staring at the boxes and furniture pieces eager to be placed in their spots. I began putting furniture in place then began unpacking boxes. The room was a semi-private suite. Technically one room, but divided by a wall in the middle and an open sliver to the other side for a roommate.
I unpack my toiletries and organize them, hang clothes up, break down the finished boxes, until it all came together to be cozy and mine. A sigh of relief leaves my body as I finally relax on my bed. I go to start shopping for things I may have missed or need for the future. The night creeps in and no sight of a roommate. I ignore it and go to sleep in my new cozy space.
The next day I explore campus, finding the cafeteria, study halls, main buildings, and my classrooms. I settle down in a small coffee shop near the perimeter of the school grounds. I make sure my classes are in line and have what I need for classes.
Once midday hit, I return to my dorm. The entrance had a pile of clothes and few boxes strewn about. “Hello?” I call out expecting a girls voice to answer. Well, the dorms do have mixed placements so it could be a guy. Although I get no answer. I walk in and see more random shit about in the once empty space.
I notice quickly I’m roomed with a man or a really masculine girl. I shrug it off and lay on my bed. They’ll come back and organize, I hope. I hear voices in the hall, laughing and talking loudly. I roll my eyes and try to ignore it until the door clicks open. I sit up and abandon my phone to greet my roommate.
“Hey, you must be my roommate!” I greet before rounding the corner. A man. Of course. He stares at me like I’m insane and snuck in. He swaps the keys to his opposite hand and takes his phone out.
“Uhh I hope not, I thought my buddy was rooming with me.” He dismisses me. I’m taken aback by the audacity. I cross my arms and lean against a wall.
“Well I’ve already organized my things so.” I reply softly, as if he didn’t just dismiss me. “Maybe it was an application mistake.” I offer a simple explanation, in which he rolls his eyes at me. He walks over the pile of clothes and plops on the bed.
“Yeah, whatever I’ll fix it.” He scoffs still on his phone. I walk back to my side of the room and try to relax. It’s just a guy, and I won’t even see him around. My mind now races with anxiety, I didn’t get his name, what if he’s a serial killer, well anyone can be a serial killer.
Time passes with a few laughs here and there from both of us. I hear him mumble something and then what sounds like commentators on his phone talking about some sort of racing. I roll my eyes. “Can you turn that down?” I yell across the wall. He doesn’t turn the volume down, but up. I hear him chuckle.
I get up and walk to the open wall. “What? I can do what I want, it’s my room.” He said. His room is still a fucking mess and it’s starting to bother me. How can you just throw everything and call it a day?
“Okay, well it’s also my room.” I say, my arms crossed. “Can you at least clean up your side?” He looks at me like I just killed his puppy. Then goes on to ignore me. “Ok I don’t even know your name and you’re being a dick.” I say and return to my side of the room.

IT WAS ME ALL ALONG 😈😈 ps this doubles as my apology for the pronunciation confusion FORGET I EVER STARTED THAT
content: leo valdez x reader, childhood best friends to lovers, mortal au; oneshot, 4.3k words
warnings: jealousy, little bit of angst (typical teenage drama 🙄), like one mention of not wanting to live, cursing, google translated spanish, lots of pov switches (my bad 😓), vague spoilers for the ballad of songbirds and snakes (like two lines abt it), clumsy confessions, denial (is it really denial if you just suck at feelings??)

"that was supposed to be my ice cream!" you marched up to a curly-headed boy, face scrunched up in childish anger. your parents were too busy catching up with friends to notice that you had strayed off.
said curly-headed boy turned to the sound of a shrill voice, his eyes meeting a pouty face with cheeks red in the summer heat. he raised the cone in his hand a bit higher. "this one?"
you nodded eagerly, hoping he was going to give it to you. "yeah!" you stretched out your hand to grab it from him, but the boy pulled it away at the last second.
he smiled mischievously, dimples flashing as he stuck his tongue out and licked a stripe up the stacked swirls of ice cream. "too bad!"
you gasped at the utter audacity of the other child, your bottom lip starting to tremble. one sniffle. two. soon, you were downright bawling on the sidewalk. the boy’s jaw dropped, his feet taking panicked little steps in place as he looked around.
"hey! hey, you can't cry! i'll ask my mama to buy you one!" he squeaked, trying to comfort you. he patted your back, which was quite hard to do with him bouncing around and holding an ice cream cone.
your sobs were quickly reduced into a sniffle as you blinked at him. "..really? and you're not gonna steal it this time?"
he nodded enthusiastically. "yep! i mean, no! i won't steal it!" he took your hand and ran to his mom, dragging you along.
you ran behind him, your tears replaced with excitement at the newly promised ice cream.
"mama!" the boy called out, stopping in front of a kind-looking woman who looked just like him. "meet my new friend!"
you smiled a bit shyly at the lady, giving her a wave.
she returned the gesture with a smile of her own, before facing the boy with a slight frown. "leo! sus padres podrían estar buscándola! did you ask her parents if she was allowed to go with you?" she chided, pinching his ear lightly.
leo cried out as his mother pinched his ear, even though he barely felt it. "no..! but le debo un helado!" he whined, shaking your interlocked hands for effect. "can you buy her one mama? pleaseee?"
she sighed in defeat, giving into two pairs of puppy eyes. "alright, alright. but we find her parents first, okay? what's your name?" she gave you a little wink, taking your other hand.
"i'm y/n!" you said with a bright smile as she agreed to get you a new ice cream. "my mommy and daddy are over there!" you pointed to a spot not too far from where you stood.
leo's mom nodded, leading your little trio in the direction you said. soon enough, you were reunited with your parents, who gave you a gentle scolding and thanked her. she explained the situation between you and leo, at which all the parents laughed at, much to your confusion. what was so funny about getting your (well, not exactly yours but you had your eyes on it, so, it was technically yours) ice cream stolen?
whatever, at least you got it at the end of the day—and a new friend!
ever since then, the two of you stuck together like glue. if elementary school teachers tried to separate you? either of you would throw a hissy fit. if your high school teachers tried to separate you? either of you would make up some elaborate bullshit about how well you guys work together and how productive the two of you would be (you were sure they never believed it, but they paired up the both of you anyway).
"like i know she probably didn’t get enough love as a child or something but does she have to take it out on her students? why even be a teacher?” you waved your hand in the air, the mess of papers on the desk long forgotten.
"exactly, like she really needs therapy." leo took his bite-ridden pencil out of his mouth to add a point.
"totally,” you agreed. “too bad it’s so expensive, otherwise-“
a cough behind you made you and leo turn around, already dreading the punishment about to befall you. you smile sheepishly at your history teacher, who had her arms crossed. "another word and i'll send you two to detention, you hear?"
the both of you shut your mouths and nodded in sync, waiting until she turned around to whisper. "she's feeling merciful today."
"detention!"
guess not.
you slumped against the desk, resting your head against your arms and sighed loudly. the teacher in charge of detention for the day gave you a glare, turning the page to his boring book about finance or something. you rolled your eyes once he looked away, and looked up at the clock. five more minutes.
you tapped a message on the desk, the morse code leo forced you to learn coming in handy once again. i'm so bored.
leo's head perked up from the similar slouch he was in. me too.
i'm coming over. you rapped your finger against the smooth wood. you were hungry just thinking about him and his mom's tacos. if you didn't know how much leo wanted to be a mechanic, you'd probably beg him to open a restaurant.
a little forward aren't you? he drummed his fingers back, raising his eyebrow.
just as you were about to reply, you were cut off with a "shh!" from the teacher, who then looked at his watch. he gave it a scowl, but motioned for the two of you to leave. "you're free to go."
the two of you raced to the door, eager to get out of the stuffy classroom.
"oh my gosh i thought he was never gonna let us leave!" you groaned, tugging on your backpack straps as you walked home with leo.
"i know! can't believe he wasted our precious hanging out time like that!" leo scoffed, nudging you with his shoulder.
you laughed, shoving him back. "exactly!"
the two of you walked in peaceful silence, up until leo tapped you on the shoulder and shouted, "tag, you're it!" and ran off ahead.
who runs with a backpack on? you didn't care, chasing after him and trying to get him. "not fair!" you yelled.
sprinting all the way, you made it to his house, panting and out of breath. as he leaned against the doorway, you smacked him upside the head. "you're it."
you didn't want to spend your friday afternoon doing extra work, but leo wanted the help and who were you to deny him? you knew it'd probably end up with the two of you on the couch, curled up next to each other and watching a (usually) pirated movie.
"so," leo started. you two were sprawled on your stomachs, doing homework on his wooden floor.
"what is it now?" you exhaled with exaggeration, not looking up from your book. your english teacher had said to read two chapters, but was that really enough? you were too invested, completely forgetting that you were supposed to help him analyze it.
"..wanna take a break?" he was already getting to his feet, looking down at you with a cheeky glint in his eyes.
you pretended to think. "hm, i don't know... shakespeare's getting really interesting..." you shrugged and turned back to your book.
leo pouted. "seriously!? he just spews random bullshit and everyone thinks its poetic!"
you kicked his foot, not letting the insult slide. "you know what? now i'm really not gonna take a break."
"oh come on! if i make you birria tacos will you come with me? my mom's been simmering the meat since earlier," he bargained, waggling his eyebrows.
"..maybe."
"holy shit." you moaned in bliss as you took a bite of one of the tacos leo had so kindly prepared. he chuckled at your reaction, it was the same every time he made it.
he grinned proudly, taking his plate from the coffee table and setting it on his lap. "good, right?" he switched on the tv, resting his other arm on the back of the couch.
you let out an unintelligible noise of agreement, mouth stuffed. you swallowed. "can we watch the new hunger games movie?"
he hummed, taking out his laptop and searching for it on some illegal website. "again? we already watched it in the theaters."
you rolled your eyes. "yes, again. it's my turn to pick."
his lips quirked up the slightest. "yeah, yeah." he clicked on the movie, connected his laptop to the tv and pressed play.
the two of you were watching intently as coriolanus snow kissed lucy gray like a starved man.
"goddamn," you breathed out.
"i know." leo nodded, his eyes flicking to you for a moment. your legs were folded under the blanket you guys shared. during the duration of the movie, the two of you had somehow huddled closer together, probably due to the cold, he thought. his arm was now over your shoulder, your knees touching his.
he felt something stir in his heart. maybe it was the kissing scene, maybe it was the underlying feeling of sadness that came with winter, but god did he suddenly get overwhelmed with the feeling of wanting a girlfriend. he'd probably flirt with every girl in the world if it meant he could find true love. he suddenly felt hyper-aware of the way you were nestled in his arms, of the casual way you two touched each other. leo would love to do these things in a romantic sense. but, not with you, of course. i mean, you were his bestest friend, it'd be weird to think otherwise.
your heart fluttered wildly as you played it cool, not letting the way his legs were intwined with yours affect you. you didn't know exactly when you started feeling this way, all you knew was that something about his touch never failed to send you sparks of fire.
but fire burns.
you heard leo suck in a breath. "you know your friend alicia?"
you froze, the butterflies in your stomach turning into ash. "yeah, she's my friend, 'course i'd know her."
"great, so you wouldn't mind setting me up with her, right?" he winked at you, tugging at the ends of your hair.
you bit your tongue, mood dampening. why did he always have to ruin the moment by asking about some other girl? i mean, am i not enough or something? "..i'll think about it."
he frowned. usually you'd agree right away. "is that a yes?"
"i told you i'd think about it, now can we just watch?" you turned back to the tv, eyes looking but not seeing.
leo didn't seem to get the hint, still pushing the topic. "why think? it's not like you haven't done it before! are you really not gonna help your best friend out?"
"maybe i'm really not," you said sarcastically. it was getting more and more difficult to keep the irritation from your voice, and he was already starting to notice.
"whoa, okay, what're you so mad about?" he took his arm off your shoulder, turning to face you directly. "did i say something wrong?"
"nope."
he took your sardonic tone as your usual sarcasm and kept prodding. "okay... so you'll help me then? i mean, that's all you're for! you don't wanna be my best friend and do your job?" he laughed, poking fun at you like usual. but the feeling in your gut twisted his offhand comment in a way that hurt.
"if you're just gonna keep me around to set you up with a bunch of girls then maybe i don't want to be your friend anymore!" you snapped, agitation finally breaking the thin mask of patience you had.
leo set down his empty plate on the table, needing to give his hands something to do. "i was just- you know that's not why you're my friend!" he chuckled incredulously.
you stayed silent, letting his words dissolve in the air.
his eyebrows furrowed at your lack of response, as if trying to decipher the finality of your words. "you don't.. you don't mean that do you?"
"maybe i do." you stood up, the blanket falling off your legs. you grabbed your backpack, a reminder of what you guys were supposed to be working on.
leo quickly followed suit, springing to his feet and speeding after you as you walked towards the front door. "wait! i was just kidding! c'mon we can talk about this!" a hint of desperation seeped into his voice as he grabbed your wrist.
"we already did." you shot him a glare over your shoulder. he froze. he'd never seen that aimed at him. playful irritation, sure, but never that. not to him. his hand dropped your arm in shock, and you took your leave.
"i said, are you trying to kill me!?" the tv was still on.
the walk to school was quiet without leo, that you'd admit. you even got up a half hour early just so you wouldn't see him. yeah, it was a little petty, but you weren't exaggerating in your words. he had other friends, you had other friends—you're choosing to ignore the fact that half of them were mutual—you guys would be fine without each other. especially you.
except you forgot the fact that you guys were seated next to each other for nearly all your classes. that was awkward. everyone around you sensed the tension in the air, with you pointedly looking away from leo, at the board, and him trying to do the same. you could feel his leg shake the table as he bounced his knee, as well as the side glances he gave you.
even so, you continued to ignore him and the stupidly cute way his lips pursed into a frown. you weren't getting over it that easy.
leo fucked up. like, seriously fucked up. he hasn't fucked up this bad since.. well, since his invention quite literally blew up in his face. but this? this was like your friendship figuratively blew up in his face! and it felt even worse. he took a deep breath, rolling over in his bed with his blanket half-off. he brought the fabric up to his nose, inhaling the faint scent of your perfume that had stayed since last friday. without you, his thoughts felt louder than usual. they ran free in his mind, ranging from what should i eat for dinner? to god, did i mess up our whole friendship? was i taking her for granted when i kept asking her for relationship advice? why did i even do that? i didn't even really like any of those girls. what's wrong with me?
he curled up into a ball, squeezing the blanket to his chest and burying his face in it. leo willed himself to cry, but no tears would come. the overwhelming feeling in his chest had no way to escape. his heart thumped heavily, each painful beat reminding him of why he should've never been allowed to live.
"...and that's why you should- hey! are you even listening?" piper frowned, raising an eyebrow at leo, who was picking at his food.
he didn't answer, too busy moving the gross cafeteria food around his tray as he drooped against the table.
"okay, i know that you've got your little lover's quarrel with y/n, but you've gotta stop sulking and start doing." piper crossed her arms, eyeing him with a very unimpressed look. "did you seriously not hear a word i said? talk to her! apologize! it's been a week already!"
leo groaned, his head resting in his arms. “i know! and- wait did you just say ‘lover’s quarrel!?’” his head shot up, face feeling warm all of a sudden. “pipes, she’s just a friend! like you!”
piper gave him a disbelieving hum. “‘just a friend’ my ass! everyone can see how you look at her!” that’s why all the girls you make her set you up with never go on a second date.
leo genuinely looked confused. “what? i look at her normally, what are you talking about?”
jason, who was silent throughout the whole exchange, chortled a laugh. the two whipped their heads to him, the sudden noise from him surprising. "are you serious? leo, i don't think even i'm that oblivious!" he shared a look with piper that only the two would understand. ugh. another couple thing leo feels he'll never get.
leo's eye twitched. "oblivious about what? y/n's my best friend, i don't see what's so weird about that!"
the pair sighed. "you'll get it one day," jason said firmly, clapping him on the shoulder with solemn resolution.
"okay..?"
a whole week. leo had never gone without talking to you for a whole week! this was driving him insane! yeah, he knew you were mad at him and by default, he was supposed to be mad at you, but it was too much! next period, leo thought resolutely. i'll get her to talk to me next period. which just so happened to be his last period because although he had been thinking of this the whole day, he was too nervous to confront you earlier. he took a deep breath in and walked into chemistry class.
fate must hate him. or maybe his science teacher. right when when he slipped into his seat beside you, she clasped her hands together and cleared her throat. "class! today were going to be switching seats!" leo swore he saw her look at him as he said that. what did he ever do to her!? his heart sunk as he realized he might not sit next to you anymore. surely the teacher's gonna keep us together? i mean, they've all done that since like, the start of the year! she won't be any different.. right?
oh he was so wrong. leo pouted in his spot at the back of the class, watching you from across the room as you chatted it up with some jock. why is she being so smiley!? isn't she supposed to be mad? i mean, yeah, she's only mad at me, but doesn't that mean she's supposed to be grumpy in general!? why am i the only one who looks affected by this!?
the girl next to him cleared her throat, snapping him out of his thoughts. "uh, we need to start the experiment," she said without emotion, as if the mere action of talking to him was boring. seriously, why did everyone hate him today? it's not like they know anything that happened!
"oh.. right." leo took his notebook out and set it to the side, moving the vials to the center of the desk. he felt the girl's stare dig into his side, like she was looking at him with disdain. leo sighed. this was going to be a long period.
how did leo even end up here? parties weren't really his thing. he only came because he heard that you'd be here, but you were nowhere to be seen. leo leaned against a wall, trying not to look like a complete loser as he stood by himself. he took out his phone, navigating to his trusty weather app. where were you? if not you, then jason and piper? even percy or annabeth would do! they're probably each hooking up in a bathroom or something.. he thought with a grimace, trying to get the mental picture out of his head. leo wandered around with a cup of fanta, hoping to see you in the crowd.
you sipped from your red solo cup, the bubbly taste of soda delightfully stinging your tongue. this party's kinda boring... it'd be more fun with- you cut off your thoughts with a shake of your head. whatever. you had girl friends you could hang out with. as you made your way to them, a tap on your shoulder got your attention.. is it..? you turned around. it wasn't. you ignored the feeling in your stomach and smiled at the familiar—but not familiar enough—face of your new seatmate.
"oh hey! i didn't know you were coming!" you greeted with a smile.
he laughed, raising his eyebrow. "you think i'd miss this? i mean, look at me!" he gestured to himself quite vainly. "i throw these kinds of parties!"
you chuckled, nodding along to be polite. "uh, yeah, for sure!"
the both of you fell into an awkward silence that seemed to stretch out for forever.
leo spotted you across the room, the chatter around him seeming to die down as he saw you with that guy. i mean, seriously, he wasn't even your type! and, he'd know your type! like, weren't you guys just talking shit about jason's football friends? you could do so much better. like.. like me. leo's eyes widened. holy fuck. that's it! the feeling in his chest was akin to tightening the last screw of his project. the words his two friends had said to him earlier came rushing back with sudden clarity. they day he finally got it was sooner than expected. with a determined blaze in his heart, he slipped through the crowd and made his way to you.
you took the lull in your conversation as a sign to go to your other friends. "so, i'm gonna-"
"hey, i was going to-" he started.
the both of you stopped mid-sentence after speaking at the same time. you guys laughed it off, with you waving off his muttered apology.
"you can go first," you said, dipping your head at him to continue.
he cleared his throat, looking into your eyes intently. "well, i was wondering if you'd wanna go ou-"
"y/n!" leo strode up to you as if the fight between the two of you had never happened.
your face scrunched up in confusion, too perplexed to remember that you were supposed to be ignoring him. "leo? what are you-" he cut you off, directing his words to the other guy.
"hey, sorry if i interrupted something, but i gotta talk to y/n for a sec," leo flashed his teeth, mischievous dimples showing.
the jock's eyes widened as he took a step back. "oh.. oh, my bad man! i didn't think you guys were- are you really?" he laughed with obvious embarrassment, shaking his head as he retreated. "guess so.." he muttered under his breath as he faded into the crowd.
leo's hand slipped around your waist as he weaved the both of you in between people. his jaw was clenched, a sight you've only seen when he was concentrated on one of his many inventions. "what the hell are you doing?" you repeated your question, ignoring the way his touch sent familiar sparks down your spine. you shied away from it, half to push away your feelings and the other to keep up your fight out of pure pettiness.
his hand twitched as you moved away, his eyes narrowing as he stared straight ahead. but leo made no move to grab you again, ever the gentleman. "just come with me. please."
his tone itself was enough to make you listen to him without question. never had you seen him so.. serious. you found yourselves in an empty guest room, music thumping softly behind the walls.
"y/n," leo murmured, finally speaking as he turned around. his eyes were shifty, looking everywhere but directly into yours. you could see the way he chewed on the inside of his lip, as if rehearsing the words he had yet to say.
"i- i don't want you to talk to that guy." he blurted out after a beat of silence. his cute face wasn't enough to distract you from his words, however.
"excuse me?" you stared at him, your rose-tinted glasses shattering immediately.
leo shifted on his feet, realizing how off-putting he sounded. "not- not like that! sorry, i mean like-" he swallowed thickly, his leg starting to bounce.
"fuck i really suck at this, huh?" he muttered under his breath, before daring to look into your eyes.
"i mean i want you to talk to me instead because.. i like you. i want to be the one you talk to, like we used to. but- more than that because i like like you." he fumbled over his words, trailing off at the end as his eyes dipped down once again.
what? you opened your mouth to answer but he beat you to it to continue.
"i'm really sorry for how i acted like a jerk. and taking you for granted and making you set me up with practically every girl you knew. to tell you the truth, i don't know why i did that, 'cause i never really like any of 'em. or i thought i did and then i just, didn't and-" he would've rambled on forever if you hadn't cut him off with a kiss.
you heard him squeak in the back of his throat, hands tensing at his sides before gingerly wrapping around your waist, as if he was scared of messing up again. the both of you pulled away after a soft minute, his disbelieving eyes staring back at your playful expression. boy, did he miss the way you looked at him like that.
"took you long enough." you laughed, hitting his shoulder lightly. "better not make me set you up with anyone ever again."
his face broke into a wide grin, never faltering even as you punched him. he brought you back into his arms, hugging you tightly. "the only person i'd want to be set up with is you." he drew back only slightly, his hands trailing up your body until he cupped your face, squishing your cheeks gently. "so? will you let me take you on a date?"
your smile was one that rivaled the sun, one he'd like to center his world around forever. "are you kidding? obviously!"
the kiss he gave you after was one you'd remember forever.
("twenty bucks jason, pay up!" piper whispered, peering through the crack in the door.
"..fuck.")

Albatross -
Did someone say the fun dad?
He admires how responsible you are
Quite literally watches in awe at anything you do
Making a snack? Wow. Hushing your kid from crying? He’s shocked by your skill
Your kid likes cars? He will have an entire lot for them.
Trains? Look, now the port mafia has a and it’s trained named after your kid
Almost like a brother, sorry
He’s immature and has never been around kids
So so gentle however
He’s not dumb, just eccentric after all
You’ll definitely walk in on him covered in paint by your kid, laughing and letting it happen
Tea parties? Tea parties.
7/10, congrats, you have a second kid
Pianoman -
Thinks the absolute highest of you
Will never pry on what happened to the biological parent
But if they hurt you? He’s pulling piano strings
The kid is babied, no matter the age
He’s a leader, and a protecter
The port mafia doesn’t even know you have one
He likes a quiet personal life
No nanny’s, he will clear his schedule if needed
It’s his kid now, and he’s ready to try his best
Smart man, makes sure to let you get plenty of rest
Knows it must’ve been hard being alone
So he wants you to recover from however long you missed the rest you’ve needed
You kid wants a new toy? He will counterfeit money and buy hundreds
9/10, a great dad
Lippmann -
Why the hell is your kid suddenly speaking other languages?
It’s Lippmann. He’s too smart and will make sure to compliment you in French, or Spanish, or German
Your kid becomes so well mannered
“Look, daddy is on TV!”
It’s always fun to have a movie night and watch his newest film
Your kid is an actor now, yeah
Expect many private shows staring your lover and your child
His favorite? Princess/prince with him as the knight
Such an incredible comforter to both you and your child
You’re stressed? He’ll make sure you’re okay while also dealing with whatever’s freaking you out
10/10, just perfect
Iceman -
So goddamn gentle
Your heart will melt, watch out
He’s soft spoken and it must be magic at how well he can console your kids whines
You may know of his work, but only what he does
Not the victims, days, times, anything
But you kid? Doesn’t know a single thing
“My daddy is a superhero”
Yeah, depends on who you ask
He is technically killing bad guys (bad guys to the pm that is)
When you lay down your kid he’ll pull you to the kitchen and play a record
Slow dancing and lifting you up with immense ease
9/10, you may have death of a overheated heart
Doc -
…kinda awkward
He is good with kids, of course
All his years in med school? He had to have seen some children
He’s shy with you, but not shocked you have a kid
Will never judge you, not for a second
Makes sure your body has healed correctly
Back pains from pregnancy (if you are the mom)? You don’t know how but he will heal it
Your kid is like a walking dictionary, muttering words that would only make sense to a surgeon
For a doctor, it’s ironic how much he offers candy to them
“Be good and you’ll get a lollipop from daddy.”
7/10, your kid is always healthy, but he’s a bit childish too
Chuuya -
if you’re a teen parent he won’t care
Supports you and your child with his new pm check
Remember that one wan episode when he said that he would spoil a puppy if he had one?
That’s how he is with your kid and you
You want to take the kid to a new amusement park but the lines are too long for the kid to wait?
He will rent the entire thing, boy has connections
A lot of the sheep were young, so he is good with kids
Won’t be great as a role model, but an amazing protector
Nothing will ever hurt you or the child
If you want, he will definitely let you move in
Warning, the house will be filled with toys that the two of you won’t know what to do with
Overall 7/10 his heart is in the right place but he’s so young

Scary Movie(Matilda TeensXKatrinaGorryXCaitlinFoordXStephCatleyFeatKyra&Charli)
Tumblr media
A/N: it's a bit of a silly one but i Hope you like it.
Summary: Kyra and charli make you,Haven(McFoordsDaughter) & Wren(Stephs daughter) watch a Horror Movie and now the three of you can't sleep.
You lay in bed, hiding behind your stuffed dog, well technically it was Harper's but since you were Sisters you thought you could just give it a cuddle. To help with how scared you were. Kyra and Charli made you watch Evil Dead Rise and now you couldn't sleep. Neither could Wren, one of your best friend and Stephs daughter. She was lying awake as well. You Guys may be badass but the Line was drawn at Horror movies.
When your Mom and Steph came in the room they saw both of you still awake. It was 11pm by now. Your bedtime was an hour ago cause you had an early morning practice. Harper was asleep in your mom's Arms. She laid her down.
"why are the two of you still awake?" Steph asked. Both you and Wren looked at Mini and Steph. Not wanting to tell on Kyra and Charli. But you looked like both of you have seen ghosts and were terrified now. Which you were.
"we talked..." You lied. Your mom gave you a look that said 'i know you are lying '.
"y/n..." You blushed a bit cause you knew you got caught.
"we watched a scary movie before bedtime and now we can't sleep!" You admitted.
"what movie did you watch?" Steph asked. Both her and your Mom were quite surprised because you and Wren hated scary stuff.
"Evil Dead Rise." Wren told them. Before your Mom and Steph could react Haven walked in with Caitlin.
"I knew you couldn't sleep either!" Haven answered and cuddled up with Harper, Wren and you.
"what i don't get is that all three of you are afraid of scary movies so why on earth would you watch this one. Which clearly isn't age appropriate!" Caitlin stated.
Your Mom was quiet for a moment before she had an idea what was going on.
"my guess now, that i think about it is Kyra and Charli have something to do with it. Am i correct with my guess?" Your Mom asked. Steph looked like she was ready to k*ll the two.
"uh yeah!" Haven admitted.
"i will k*ll them!" Steph stated .
"let me help!" Your Mom answered.
"let's get these two in here! We need to talk about it." Catilin said. Steph texted the two to come to the room cause they needed to talk about something with them.
The two knew exactly what this was about because they walked in like two kicked puppies around 5 minutes later. Your Mom told them to sit down right away. So they sat down on the little couch.
"what were the two of you thinking? Neither of the three can sleep now? You know they don't like scary stuff and then you Show them a movie that totally isn't meant to be watched by them." Your Mom stated. It was clear how upset and angry she was. What got to Kyra and Charli the most was the disappointed look they got from all three adults in the room.
"it was just a joke. We didn't realize it would be this bad!" Charli admitted.
"yeah and we are really sorry." Kyra stated. There was a loud noise outside and you jumped out of bed right away, running into your mom's Arms. You were quite scared. Haven was hiding under the blanket while Wren cuddled up to a sleeping Harper. Your Mom was rubbing your back gently.
"See how this joke turned out?" Steph asked.
"we want to make this right. but i am not sure how." Charli said.
"we can stay here with them all night. trying to make sure that they know nothing is gonna come for them." Kyra offered.
"i know nothing is gonna come for me, deep down i know...but it's still...don't know how to say it." Haven told everyone.
"yes what Haven said!" You agreed and so did Wren.
"you two staying here with them is still a good idea." Catilin replied to them.
"maybe staying awake with three scared teens will make you think twice before doing something like that again!" Steph said and sighed softly.
"i will stay here as well!" Your mom stated. Steph and Caitlin both offered to take shifts with your Mom but your Mom didn't mind staying awake with you guys. She was just relieved that Harper was asleep and didn't care about all of this what has been happening around her.
So it took around two more hours and lots of sweet Story telling from your mom before Haven, Wren, Kyra, Charli & you ended up asleep. You somehow managed to all fit in one bed with your Mom and Harper.
You all got 6 hours of sleep somehow before you all had to get ready for the day.

The Summer I Loved You -> E.L. 🐚🍸🪝
Summary: you’re spending time with your friends for the end of the summer before senior year, and your childhood best friend is catching your eye more than you’d like him to
Part 1!
Tumblr media
The sun was burning hot as you walked across the beach, the sand baking the soles of your feet and crackling with tiny shells. Tara, rambling about her latest date with a guy named Mark, passed you the Yeti cup filled with rosé so you could take a lofty sip.
A wine walk, she called it. Which is the only feasible excuse you could think of as to why the both of you were guzzling down a jumbo bottle of wine at noon, the hot Sun making you feel slightly nauseated. Or maybe, to your chagrin, the reason your stomach was turning was because of the two boys you saw up ahead.
Chads Meeks-Martin, your college roommate of three years, and your childhood best friend, Ethan Landry. Chad had a cute girl with platinum streaks in her hair tossed over his shoulder, spinning her around as she screamed with laughter. Her girlfriend, and Chad’s sister, watched in amusement. As Tara and you approached Ethan turned first, his brown curls made wilder by the salt-infused air, his toned arms tanned and bigger than they’d been when you’d seen him two months before.
The five of you would be spending two weeks in Charleston, staying at Anika’s family beach house for a last minute summer vacation before senior year of college. You’d been excited; you hadn’t seen any of them besides Tara, Chad, and Mindy since the end of the semester and, even if you shouldn’t, even if it was ridiculous, you’d missed Ethan more than anyone.
“Y/N,” he greeted, jogging over with a smile you’d known since you were kids. He nodded to Tara, sparing her a quick ‘hey’ before he tugged you into a hug, arms lifting you an inch off the sandy ground. Despite yourself you hugged him tight around the neck, your stomach twisting further at the scent of his cologne mixed with the coconut scent of Mindy’s sunscreen. “when did you guys get here? I thought you’d be here like an hour ago.”
“Tara wanted wine first.” You said, smiling sheepishly as he set you down, eyebrows raised.
You passed him the Yeti as Tara darted off to greet the other three of your friends, and he took a sip. Then he let out a long-suffering sigh, tossing those puppy-eyes of his onto your face.
“I missed you.” He said, passing the cup back as he slung an arm around your shoulders. “Mom’s been on my ass about Senior year. Internships and jobs and all that.” His expression pinched, a hint of stress tugging the corners of his mouth down. “Can you tell her to go easy on me? You’re her favorite.”
“You’re her son.”
“A biological technicality, Y/N.” His hand looped further around your shoulders to hook onto the necklace you wore, a thin chain with a small golden heart. His expression relaxed as he touched a finger to the charm. “I’m surprised you kept this.”
Your face tinged with a hint of pink and you ducked out of his grip.
“Why?” You asked, adjusting the necklace. “It was a gift.”
“Yeah, but—”
“Y/N!” Chad yelled, dashing over to scoop you up the same way he had Anika, yanking you away from Ethan and the topic of the necklace he’d purchased you. “My girl!”
You protested in vain, unable to stop a laugh from leaving you. Chad was one of your closest friends—had been since you’d been stuck together freshmen year—and it was no secret that he’d hit on you once or twice. You’d even matched at a Halloween party sophomore year, he as a shirtless (and stupidly hot) cowboy, you as a sheriff.
The two of you had inside jokes, fought over who did what chores, cooked meals together, and occasionally yelled at each other when he stayed for way too long in the bathroom or you took an everything shower.
But Ethan..
Ethan was your friend since childhood.
Ethan was the one who you called when you were upset, or tired, or bored.
Ethan had been drunk when he’d shown up to you and Chad’s shared apartment months ago, your roommate somewhere else for the night. Ethan had pounded on the door for five minutes straight while you were in the shower, his eyes red when you finally opened up the door. He was tired, he said, he couldn’t sleep, midterms were coming up and he needed you, needed to sleep on your bed. So you’d let him inside, let him collapse under your sheets, let him steal back the oversized shirt he’d left—just in case—inside your bottom drawer.
And when he’d given you the necklace he’d kept shoved in his pocket, moments before passing out, saying he’d bought it for your birthday months before but had been too chicken-shit to hand it over, you’d felt a pull to him that you’d been suppressing since you’d been a kid.
Now though, as you glanced up, eyes locking with Ethan’s, you felt a twinge in your gut as his smile faltered, his focus moving from you to Chad. You smacked your roommate’s back lightly so he’d let you down, your feet crashing back onto hot sand as you righted yourself.
“We’re barbecuing later, and then there’s a party on the beach, and then..” Chad talked as you walked, leading you towards Tara and the others, Ethan trailing behind a step.
When you glanced back he was looking at some point in the distance, seemingly deep in thought. So you hung back, shooing Chad onwards as you fell into step with Ethan, his tiny glance at you making your skin hum. He didn’t even have to say anything—his look towards Chad had ‘your roommate is obnoxious’ written all over it, and you suppressed a laugh.
“Be nice.” You whispered. It was no secret that Ethan’d never been a huge fan of Chad, though you weren’t sure why.
“I am nice. I’m so nice.”
“Surrrre.” You grinned and he bumped a shoulder against yours, tan skin brushing the untouched version of yours that would soon be just as dark. “We’ll have You and Me time, later. Don’t worry.” You said, referring to what he’d started coining as the moments the both of you would sneak off whenever his social battery inevitably drained.
“I need it.” He sighed, his head tilting, a small smile playing on his mouth, and damn you if the sight of his eyes on yours wasn’t the most gorgeous thing you’d seen all summer. But he was Ethan. And that wasn’t something you should be thinking about.
So when his fingers laced through yours, tugging you a bit quicker towards the others, snippets of their conversation coming into focus, you reminded yourself that it meant nothing.
Even if he meant everything.

Tony’s in denial
Harry Osborn X Peter Parker ship (guys i don’t know their ship name HELP??) sort of prompt idea? sort of not, just a funny thing that came to me.
Watch me not post anything for a few weeks and now watch me throw a ‘Peter parker X harry Osborn’ at you nerds.
So, Peter is gay, or bi, or pan or well he’s figuring it out but what he does know? he really, really likes the teen he met at a science convention who’s as geeky as he is but perhaps got all the looks and more.
Then they meet again at some other science thingy maginjy and odin above Peter can’t help the way his cheeks flush everytime he sees this guy.
They finally get one another’s names because at the convention it was a quick ‘hi’, a smile, Peter was awkward, hands in pockets.
Before Harry asked about his invention and who he was with and he started going on (“I’m with my dad and aunt may.”) totally ignoring he called Tony his dad.
And yeah.
Harry likes this guy.
A lot.
So when they see each other, Harry doesn’t realise Peter parker is the same (‘Peter parker— a nobody adopted by Tony Stark?’ from the daily bugle) and when Harry introduces himself, Peter doesn’t Harry osborn is the son of one of Tony’s mortal tech enemies.
And they hit it off.
They get each other’s numbers. (my grammar and spelling disappeared here ignore it)
Peter’s going out on sundays to hang out with Harry not realising it technically IS a date? And Harry well.. he’s swooning, hard, he gets excited the more they hang out.
It starts slow.
Slow brushes with their fingers when walking.
Staring at one another when they aren’t looking at each other (Harry becomes so distracted at one point Peter has to shake him from his daydreams of 32 hamsters)
Nudging their knees together under the table.
It’s a nerdy first crush, like either of them hadn’t been in love before (Ned and MJ are totally freaking out and waiting to meet and approve of this harry guy)
(Until they learn it’s Osborn.)
Ned: “So when can we meet him?”
Peter: “I don’t know, he’s pretty busy working with his dad most days…”
MJ: “His dad?”
Peter: “Yeah Mr Norman.”
MJ: …
Ned: …
Ned: “ARE YOU DATING HARRY OSBORN?”
Peter: “well not yet-“
MJ: “Like harry osborn, son of mortal enemy to tony stark?”
Peter bluescreens.
Peter: “What.”
Ned: “Dude how can you not KNOW, Norman and Stark have been at each other in the stock industry since Tony debuted.”
Peter: “oh…”
MJ: “Wait for it.”
Peter: “My god, i’m dating my dad’s mortal enemies, son.”
Ned: “Thought you weren’t dating him?”
Peter: “YET.”
Now they have to break the news to Tony.
Poor.
Unfortunate.
Tony.
Now, Tony had recently adopted Peter, their relationship as Father/Son was sky rocketing and Peter was finally coming around to calling Tony ‘dad’ and calling Pepper ‘mom.’
It was a long talk with aunt may, he hadn’t been exactly comfortable for a while since she was like her mother but in a way they both agreed it wouldn’t take away from their relationship and May likes Pepper anyway.
And back when he and MJ were dating tony had said (“Keep the door open.”) but hadn’t exactly been too controlling.
However dating someone who’s got the blood of an enemy he despises? It might be another thing entirely.
So hence Peter trying to awkwardly go over the situation.
-
Peter: “Dad…”
Tony working away at the lab and humming tunes: “Yeah kid?”
Peter: “So you know how me and MJ broke up?”
Tony: “You get back together?”
Peter: “What? No!”
Tony: “Okay then.”
Peter doesn’t get Tony’s attention again, he seems too distracted so he tries for another time.
-
Peter: “Tony.”
Clint laughs in the background because (“Ooooh full name Stark, what you done now?”
And Peter realises he sounds a little like may or Pepper.
Tony turns around, cereal box in hand like a caught puppy: “What i do now kid?”
Peter: “No uhm, it’s just— i want to talk to you-“
Clint’s laughter is still echoing and very annoying.
Peter: “About my boyfriend.”
this time.
It’s Tony’s turn to bluescreen.
Clint’s laughter comes to a dead stop, choking on a little giggle. :
Tony: “Do i need to give you the talk already?”
Peter’s embarrassingly red.
Peter: “NO?”
Tony: “Good cause i’m not licensed for that, cap on the other hand…”
Tony looks to clint
Tony: “He did those drug PSAs a while back didn’t he?”
Peter: “Mr stark stop.”
Clint: “Yeah i think so.”
Tony starts tapping away at his phone and Peter’s already trying to dart out the room.
Clint yells as he goes: “Use condoms!”
God they couldn’t be more embarrassing.
Loving.
But embarrassing.
Perhaps…
The worst way for his father to find out is when Peter actually establishes a relationship with Harry and suddenly their relationship just got a whole lot more lovey dovey.
Like, kissing in his room lovey dovey.
And yeah it doesn’t help half the avengers have super hearing or are just nosy. So when they return the first thing they do?
Point and laugh)” As clint cackles out.
After that embarrassing scenario he’s sat on a chair being scolded to high ends of the earth, Tony going through a dilemma.
Tony:” Norman osborn’s son! I didn’t raise you like this!” He cries.
Tony: “You could have had anyone, heck even used my money for love!”
Pepper: “Don’t use money for love Peter.”
Tony: “I would have… i don’t know? it would have been better if you were dating that ted kid but HARRY OSBORN?”
Tony: “No, i will not have this scandalous thing in my home!”
Steve: “Don’t you think your overreacting-“
Tony: “NORMAN OSBORNS SON! STEVE.”
Pepper only shakes her head and lets Peter go.
Tony still interrogates peter everytime he’s going out or even acknowledge the fact he’s dating an osborn.
(Mj: “Overdramatic much?)”
(Pepper: “You’d think.”)
(No green goblin mention here folks)

Pride Month 2024 Sonic Sketches
Tumblr media
Second pic made in Procreate, kinda excited about it
Made a few sketches for pride month, kind of started out with a comic were Silver comes out to his mom as bisexual along with a pic of Blaze after telling her dad then decided to draw everyone at a pride parade & showing their pride
Everyone here is kind of based on my own ideas for the characters especially Mephiles since anything involving him has to do with the version I made for him for post-06 reboot. Also some stuff is in color(Blaze's forehead gem, Cosmo's necklace, Amy's headband, Sonic's hair clip, ghost aura stuff) cause it seemed fitting due to the meanings behind the colors on the pride flag.(Like purple for soul)
Middle row
Like the text says Blaze told her dad & he made her a frog hat to support her. He's a nice/friendly guy that cares a lot, it's unfortunate that Blaze's late mom was so terrible & left with Blaze for her own intentions.
Rouge & Knuckles at pride, I was a little worried about how well I got Rouge's bisexual flag makeup. I eventually fixed up the lipstick & added matching earrings. Knuckles unintentionally looks like a pirate cause I can't draw his hat at angles. So yeah my version of Knuckles & Rouge are bi, Knuckles use to date Sonic(in my ver) & Rouge has some interest in women in the past.(Especially Topaz at one point)
Here's Blaze & Silver, Silver has a bi flag cardigan. Pretty much at some point the two realized together they're bi. They eventually told their parents(well Blaze's mom is gone so she only told her dad) & they luckily have supportive families.
Surge isn't in my Lost Prince stuff but I thought she & Amy were cute together in the fanart people made. I also think Metal was interesting with Amy, at some point gets with her in the future in my Lost Prince AU. Metal at some point stops working for Eggman & tries to make their own identity after a talk with Sonic especially since they were becoming more sentient. Metal wasn't sure what he wanted but eventually figured things out.
Right row
The context of the sign is that this is meant to be Tails, Cosmo(revived as a plant/mobian chipmunk hybrid) & Cream when they're older & in their teens or later. The time skip is mostly cause at the moment Cream is pretty young in present day, Tails is too but he's slightly older. I guess you could say Tails & Cosmo had a puppy love or something then things got serious when they were older when Cosmo returned then later Cream joined them.
Cream is pretty accepting of who she's into, I dunno what Cosmo is into(I guess technically bi since she's dating Tails & later Cream when Cream joined the couple), Tails I think maybe straight but I dunno. At the very least Tails is supportive of his friends & brother.
Context for this is just I wanted to add Vanilla & her late spouse so them from the future. Added Vector cause him & Vanilla are kinda cute so he's her relationship from the future. So Vanilla's late partner is my OC Cake who despite willing to be called a dad by their kids(Cream & at some point Sonic cause I like the idea of the rabbits adopting him) & only them, Cake was nonbinary. The rabbit family is pretty accepting of people.
Decided to bring in Gadget & Zero/Infinite, the guy in the corner is Zero's late dad who I'll explain at a late point
And then there's these three. I'm not entirely sure what my thoughts on Shadow & Mephiles are, at some point I think I realized demisexual felt right for Shadow. Like I said before any of my thoughts on Mephiles are specifically for the version I made of him for post-reboot in Sonic 06. I was originally thinking of giving him the male gay pride flag but given what I've done with him in Lost Prince AU I kinda realized he fits in with demisexual too. While my version of Sonic identifies as male he likes dressing in whatever he wants & isn't exactly gender-conforming.
Sonic mostly dressed up for pride & tied a pride flag to his neck like a cape. For some reason Mephiles is the only one I tried making designs for on his outfit.
Tumblr media
Here's a cropped version of the comic. Pretty much Silver & Blaze realized they were bisexual, at some point Silver got the courage to tell his mom & later his dads.*
For some context Silver's mom is male & in a relationship with men*, he's pretty accepting so Silver doesn't need to worry much. However his worries are understandable because of being around Blaze a lot & seeing how her mom treated her. Blaze's mom was strict & caused a lot of issues that Blaze is still recovering from. Blaze left with Silver & Venice at some point leading to meeting her dad & becoming estranged from her mom. Her mom is gone now but as said Blaze is still recovering. Silver's family(along with Blaze's dad) understand & reassure Silver, Venice & Blaze that the three are accepted/safe.
*I dunno if the marriage is legal at best I know Silver's dad & his mom's marriage is legal. Venice's(Venice is Silver's half brother) dad went missing for a few years(Eggman was behind it) & ended up joining the relationship after being rescued/talking things out. Venice's dad was able to be part of the wedding as another groom but I dunno if this counts as official/legal by human standards.(I guess technically official by Mobian standards)
Tumblr media
Thought I'd make a version without the color for everyone to see. The text about the frog hat is missing because it was connected to the frame I made for the comic involving Silver & his mom.

Lollipop: Okay, listen, there's VERY specific reasons why I made the Lollipop Fakemon the way it is. I refuse to specify. If you know, you know.
Kettle Corn: I went with a bag of kettle corn, because my memories always go back to getting these huge bags of kettle corn while at a mall with my mom! So I just made it into a Thing. It just so happened to turn into a birb, it worked out!
Sour Candy: There's a LOT of sour candy out there, so I went with a classic candy shape with greens, and made the wrapper ends into little wings. it's in a constant pucker state, poor thing!
Your Favorite!: My favorite candy of all time is technically a tie, but I chose one that I always gravitate to. Both are Ghirardelli chocolate, but I went with dark chocolate sea salt caramel. I used their logo that contains what I thiiink is a bald eagle? Maybe? IDK it's some kinda birb so I used that for the design.
Caramel Apple: I just kinda. went at it and made a little kangaroo rat. It's tail is the 'stick' of the caramel apple and its ears/arms/legs are apple pieces! :3
Candy Corn: I'll be fully honest. I'm team 'despises candy corn'. Its nasty to me. But give me some of the pumpkin shaped candy corns? Hell yeah. So I made this little... puppy?? puppy pumpkin with classic candycorn ears, limbs, and tail.
Empty Wrappers: The first thing that comes to mind when I think of an empty wrapper is something I usually do with empty wrappers: I fold them into little origami bats. So here's a kind of origami bat made from an old wrapper! The writing's faded, and the paper's old, but this little bat is still flying.

Chapter Ten: Branded
Recap: You haven't had a chance to peruse the info on the USB yet, but you stumbled upon more sticky notes warning you that digging deeper may end up hurting you and everyone else. You find a photo of you and Jin that confirms you are his love even as Jimin and Tae confirm that you can find more answers at Areum's house. In the battle between you and Hobi, Jimin and Tae seemed to have picked your side and tell you a bedtime story about a girl at the end of the universe and her pink boy.
You feel your body being jostled and groan.  “Go back to sleep, Tae.”
“Why is she blaming me?  You’re the one holding her.”
“Be quiet, Tae,” Jimin scolds near you.  “Shh, just go back to sleep.”
Something…doesn’t seem right.  For one, you’re burritoed in your duvet with your face covered.  Two, you’re cradled in someone’s arms–Jimin’s you assume from Tae’s context.  And three, you don’t feel like Jimin is moving you so much as you’re being weightlessly propelled forward.  You yank the blanket off your body.
“Oh my god, you guys, what are you doing?!”
You’re sitting on Jimin’s lap in the back of one of their SUVs, opposite Tae.  It’s still dark out and the sandman’s dust must still be in your eyes because Seoul’s city lights shine like twinkling bokeh.  The digital clock on the dash reads 0400.  You turn a searing glare upon the two gremlins who bequeath innocent smiles upon you.
“Are you guys trying to Meredith Blake me like in Parent Trap?”
Tae scoffs.  “We’d only set you adrift on a lake if you were a homewrecker.”
“Technically, the mom was the homewrecker since they were divorced and Meredith was engaged to the dad,” Jimin corrects.
“Oh my god, not relevant!  Where are we even going?”
Jimin flashes his pearly whites and smooths the duvet.  “Don’t worry, Y/N.  Close your eyes and I’ll sing you a lullaby.”
“As tempting as that is, I’m gonna have to pass.”
“Cool!  In that case,” Tae plops a hefty duffel bag onto your gut making you grunt.  “Change into these!”
“No!  There’s nowhere else to go!”
Tae claps his hands over Jimin’s eyes and whines, “We’ll close our eyes. Promise!”
“The chauffeur still needs eyes to drive, Tae.”
“He can squint,” Jimin giggles, blindly.
“He can barely see as it is!  It's the dead of night and dark as hell.”
"It's technically morning," Jimin says, as if that makes a difference.
You only barely refrain from strangling him in frustration.  "'Technically', it's so early that it isn't even the ass crack of dawn yet!"
Jimin tilts his head in consideration, unbothered that Tae’s hands are still blinding him.  “But isn’t it the ass crack of dawn?  I don’t think ass cracks get to see much sunlight.”
“Jiminie, your ass crack deserves sunlight.”
“Thank you, Tae.  It does.  Tan lines are yuck.”
Don’t punch them.  Don’t punch them.  Don’t punch them.  You settle with kneeing Tae back so you’re not smushed between him and Jimin.  “None of this is helping.”
“Well, if you won’t sleep and you won’t change, then we can’t help you," Tae pouts.
“Driver-nim, where are we going?”
“He has been sworn to secrecy or must give me his first born child!”
The two gasp as if you asked the driver to run over a puppy.  Jimin shakes his head gravely.  “You can’t just ask him that.  Think of the children.”
"What children?"
You can see in the rearview mirror that the driver is trying to stifle a laugh.  “Don’t encourage them.”
“I’m sorry, Y/N-ssi.  I find it’s best to just go along.”  After a moment’s hesitation, he adds, “Plus, my first born is already in college overseas.”
“Betrayer!  Does your oath mean so little?”
You groan and look to the heavens for patience as the driver succumbs to his laughter.  “Tae, what would you even do with a child?”
“Shower them with all my love and care.  I think I’m going through empty nesting syndrome.”
Jimin coos in sympathy.  “But you still have Y/N and a whole ass baby Jungkookie.”
“Yeah, but they’re really resistant.  Terrible twos are a thing, you know.”
You roll your eyes, “Wow.  Gee.  Why ever would I resist your love and care when it means kidnapping people from their beds?”
Tae sniffs.  “I’m glad you see it my way.  Jiminie, I want a turn with the baby.  Hand her over.”
Jimin tips you over towards Tae, but you simply slide off his lap and shove Tae against the door.  “Hands off.  This baby is gonna sit right here.”
You drop the duffel in a disappointed Tae’s lap and bunch the duvet over a giggling Jimin.  They slide their burdens to the floor and hold your hands hostage in each of theirs.  You sigh like you’re being put upon, but you’re not really that mad.  Your head is still a bit fuzzy and irritable because it’s much too early for their antics, but otherwise, you’re okay.  Besides, spending time with these two is like watching a trainwreck, except they’re not the train or the wreck.  They’re the traffic controllers conducting from afar and you can’t look away, even if they put you on the train.  They’re so charming and cheerful, you can’t help but be mesmerized and impressed.
You must have dozed off at some point because you feel a breeze as a window whirs down.  You struggle with the duvet that you’re once again wrapped in and squint around you.  The sky is a little lighter, although the sun hasn’t appeared yet.  Outside, the ocean is serene with a low hanging mist curled along the silky water where all sizes of boats bob next to the docks.
You have no idea how or when Jimin got an iced americano, but he's holding it reverently in both hands out of the window as if in offering to some higher deity.  Confused, you glance at Tae who is looking down at you, giddy.
Jimin shouts, “Yoongi-hyung!  Look!  I brought you coffee!”
You see your surprise is mirrored by Yoongi who is standing under the awning of some maintenance shack a ways away.  He has a facemask on, black bucket hat sitting tightly on his head, dressed in a thick plaid button up and sweatpants.  His surprise morphs to confusion as he quickly gathers his wits and shuffles towards the vehicle, Jimin now waving his bait enticingly at him.
“Uh, thanks, but what are you doing here?” he calls out to Jimin, pulling his facemask down.  His dumpling cheeks are bunched up, eyes glued to the caffeine nectar. You want to warn him not to fall for the duo’s trap because he obviously doesn't suspect a thing.  How could he not suspect a thing when he’s lived with these tricksy pixies for over a decade?  You open your mouth, but Tae slaps a hand over it, giggling.  You have the thought that the world is lucky Jimin and Tae are good people.  If they were truly evil, you shudder to think what horrors they’d get away with.
When Yoongi nears the vehicle, Jimin pushes open the back passenger door and shoves Yoongi in.  Yoongi yelps, struggling to not drop the iced americano Jimin unceremoniously tosses towards him so he can climb in behind Yoongi.  It’s then he notices you.
“Y/N?”  He looks from you to Tae.  He glances at Jimin and realizes he’s caged in.  “What’s going on?”
You can only muffle against the hand still clapped over your mouth.  Before you can put up a struggle, Tae pulls you out of the car.  You barely catch the duffel bag he tosses at you when he shouts, “Go, driver-nim!  Go, go, go!”  The door shuts and the car peels away, leaving you coughing at the dust that the car kicks up.
What the actual fuck.
You’re out in the cold, god knows where, in only your pajamas.  You’re going to kill Tae and Jimin when you see them next.  You’re gonna murder them.  Stubbornly, you drop yourself to sit on the ground.  You have no shoes on and the gravel does not look forgiving.  Regardless, you will not move from this spot; you refuse to play into whatever the twins are scheming.
You can hear the ocean lap and crash against the docks and if you close your eyes, it’s almost serene.  A salty breeze whisks through your hair and…a wave of disappointed irritation washes over you.  This could have been nice if Tae and Jimin had prepared you better and hadn’t abandoned you.  You move to brush your hair away from your eyes, when your hand snags on the duffel in your lap.  Oh yeah.  You dig inside and find your clothes.  There’s no phone, but there is a t-shirt, hoodie, comfy worn-in jeans, socks, sneakers, and baseball cap along with some basic toiletries, snacks, and water bottles.  Your mild relief is short-lived when you feel a presence behind you and someone clears their throat.
Throwing your head back, you see Jin upside down, his smile fond, but brows concerned.  He does a brief scan of the surroundings before settling on your pathetic huddled form.  He emits a defeated sigh.  “I assume Yoongi is gone?”
“It’s not his fault.  The devil’s crotch goblins kidnapped him.”
“And you’re his replacement, huh?”  He comes around so you don’t have to keep staring at him upside down.  He crouches and peruses the duffel.  “Well, at least they had a tiny shred of decency.”
“Mercy.  Tiny shred of mercy.  There’s nothing decent about those malignant minxes.”
He chuckles and reaches out, rubbing your shoulder.  “Want me to drive you home?”
You take in your surroundings again.  The ocean.  Docked boats.  Jin is dressed warmly, his torso secured with a life jacket and tackle vest.  “You’re fishing today.”
“Yeah, but I can fish a different day.  How about we order some takeout for breakfast and pick it up on our way home?”  That does sound good, but…  He continues, “And Taehyung just ordered a package of gourmet strawberries.  We could eat them all and leave a few stems and the empty carton on Jimin’s night stand.  And we can hide Jungkook’s banana milk and put a half drunk one on Taehyung’s night stand.”
You stare at Jin in awe.  “That’s deliciously diabolical.  Have them destroy each other from the inside out, but also with a dose of muscle KangaKoo.  Way better than my plan.”
“What’s your plan?”
“Cut off all the heels of Jimin’s boots and play the long game of bribing Yeontan with peanut butter so I become his favorite instead of Tae.”
“Por que no los todos?” he winks.  His reply has you both bursting into giggles, his shoulders shaking.  Looking at him like this, you don’t think it’s the giggles that have you breathless.
Laughter dwindling down to soft smiles, you shrug the duvet off your shoulders and stand with Jin.  “Let’s punish them later.  I’ll keep you company while you fish.”
“Are you sure?  I know you’re not a fan of fishing.”  Jin shoulders the duffel and gathers the duvet up.  There’s something about this moment that feels domestic and familiar.  He’s barefaced, eyes radiant and lips slightly chapped.  You love seeing him like this, relaxed in a way you rarely see.  You know he doesn’t often get time like this to himself and you mentally curse at Tae and Jimin as you realize you’re playing into their hands.
But you would be lying if you didn’t appreciate having uninterrupted time alone with Jin.
“I’m not a fan of fishing, but I’m a fan of keeping you company.  Didn’t you know you’re my bias?”  You don’t know where your boldness comes from, but you’re satisfied when you see the tips of Jin’s ears go pink and his smile deepens.
An hour later, the charter boat is trawling the dark waters off the coast of Incheon.  Your legs are tucked under you, perched on a welded bench next to the railing where Jin is casting his line a few feet upwind of you.  The wind is a little choppier out on the open water, occasionally spraying mist that tickles some nostalgia in you, but a nostalgia you’ve never actually experienced, or at least not one you can remember.
It’s still early morning, but the sun is now fully in the sky.  The waves sparkle and wink and you can barely see the coast.  Maybe you should be admiring the vastness of the azul landscape before you, where the ocean bleeds into the sky, but you instead find yourself enraptured with Jin.
There hasn’t been much said between you and Jin since the boat left its berth.  There hasn’t been any need.  You revel in the peace that has settled in Jin, hair messily swept, cheeks bitten red, his hands firm and steady on rod and reel.  His broad shoulders that seemingly carry the weight of Korea are lax.  In fact, with his stance, he doesn’t seem to anticipate catching much of anything out here, and you wonder if his fishing trips aren’t so much for the sport, but for the escape.
“Are you cold?”  Jin has his head cocked.  You hadn’t even realized you were shivering which means he was paying more attention to you than you thought.  You blush at the implication that he noticed you staring at him.
“A little.”
“Come here.”  He reaches a hand towards you.  You approach him with a protest ready thinking he’ll offer you his own jacket, but instead he positions your back to the rails and wraps his arms around you so he can continue fishing.  You suck in a startled breath.  Even with the life jackets creating a little barrier between you two, you can feel the heat emanating off him.  With the bulk in the way, you have no choice but to wrap your arms around his neck.
Your heart quickens at the sudden proximity.  It’s not the first time you’ve been this close to Jin.  You cuddled the first night…but he was consoling you.  He slept next to you the other night, but that was you consoling him.  The only other time you felt this intense pull, this magnetism to him was when you did the dishes with him after the first dinner.  You try to reason with yourself that the position you’re in now is for practical reasons.  Jin is just trying to keep you warm.
But his face is right there.  His face is right in your face.  “You could have just given me your jacket, you know?” you say shakily.
“You would have kicked up a stink about it.”  He’s not wrong.  “Plus, I figure I’d give you a close up view of what you’ve been staring at all morning.”
He chuckles as you hide your face against his collarbone.  “Stop laughing at me.”
“I’m sorry.  You’re just too cute.”
“And you’re mean.”  Of course, you don’t really mean that.  The way his body is shaking in mirth has you smiling.  You feel him press a kiss to your head and you feel the warmth of it spread through your body.   You look up at him.
You don’t know what expression is on your face, but he suddenly looks unsure of himself.  “Sorry.  About the kiss.  It’s hab–.  Um, sorry.  I shouldn’t have done that.”
Jin shifts as if to let you go, but you tighten your arms and he stills.  Your eyes zero in on his lips, pink and plush and so, so close…you bury your head in his chest again to stop yourself.
Jin loves you.  He is in love with you.  But for some reason they’ve been trying to keep it hidden from you.  Jin alluded that his reasons were so you wouldn’t feel pressured to do anything.  Hobi…well, you don’t know what Hobi’s problem is.  Do they just want to wait until you are sure of your own feelings?
You think you love Jin.
But what do you know of love?  Everyone claims the life you knew was fake, but all you know is what you experienced in that fake life.  The love of friends and family.  You had a few boyfriends and you had loved them.  If that wasn’t real, then would you really know if you are in love now?  You want to be fair to Jin.  It’s clear he loves you dearly from his story and Jimin’s story.
And you don’t want to cling to Jin just because he’s there.  To latch on to him.  Another part of you reasons that you aren’t this way with any of the other boys.  It’s not like you want to sink into them like you want to sink into Jin.  You don’t want to be the only person they see like the way you want Jin to look at you.  Only Jin.
Jin has returned to fishing.  You can feel the way his arms hold strong against the resistance of the water as the line drags, his embrace tightening around you every now and then.  He seems to absentmindedly rub his cheek against your head.  Your ear is pressed to his chest and you can hear his heartbeat over the fluttering wind.  Despite how steadily he’s been holding you, not just in this moment, but from the first moment you woke up, you’re aware that this whole situation hasn’t been fair or kind to him either.
You don’t know how long the both of you stand there like that, with you tucked into him, shifting occasionally so he can recast his line.  When you next look up, the sun is higher in the sky and the day has warmed.  Jin glances down at your emergence and smiles, gently rubbing your cheek with one hand.
“The vest left an imprint on your face.”
You pout.  “I wouldn’t have been self-conscious about it if you hadn’t pointed it out.”
“I was worried your face might feel sore.”
You resist leaning further into his touch.  “I’m okay.”
“Are you bored yet?”  He assesses you.  “We can start heading in.”
“But you haven’t caught anything yet.”
“There are definitely days Yoongi and I don’t catch anything.  The captain usually gives us whatever he catches if we don’t so we can at least still have sashimi after.”
You lean further back onto the railing because it’s hard to look at him directly with him so near.  “We can stay a little longer.”
He brushes your hair back, which is useless with the wind still blowing, but it feels nice.  “Wanna play a game?”
“I don’t know.  If it’s a fish naming game, I only know like five fish and I’m pretty sure one of them is a mammal, so really, I only know like four fish.”  You’re pleased that you make him laugh.  It’s not the windshield wiper laugh, but a deeper one from his chest.  The vibrations it sends through you is thrilling.
“Well, there goes my idea.  What game do you wanna play?”
You’re not that good at games and you don’t know many games.  The ones that come to mind are Truth or Dare or Never Have I Ever.  The latter seems like a bad idea when your memory is so messed up, and as much as you want the truth, you don’t particularly want to participate in any dares.  The idea of truths sticks though.
“Um, how about Fact or Fiction?  I state something and you tell me if it’s fact or fiction.”
Jin bites his lip, unsure.  You pull on the ties of his vest and play with the buckles.  You know he’s worried about overstepping the Rules.  He has no idea that the Rules have already been mangled beyond recognition.
“Alright.  Hit me.”
“Really?  You’ll play?”  You’re a little surprised he gave in, but you can tell he’s fond of how excited you are.
“I’ll play.”  He laughs as you wiggle from a sudden burst of energy, your mind racing with things you want to ask.  There’s just too much and you’re worried that he won’t answer or you’ll push him too far, so you decide to start small.
“Your favorite color is pink.”
He scoffs.  “You already know that one.  Fact.”
“What?  I have to create a baseline.”
“Oh, am I taking a polygraph now?”
“Shush.  Your favorite food is sashimi.”
He rolls his eyes.  “Fact.”
“You have 20/20 vision.”
“Fiction.”  That gives you pause.  You know he sometimes wears glasses, but you thought it was more for aesthetics.
“Really?  So are you wearing contacts?”
“No.  I got lasik.”
“Oh.”
“You got lasik too.”  Whoa, hold the phone.
Actually, now that you think about it, dream you had glasses and wore contacts.  And since you woke up, you haven’t felt the need to wear any corrective eyewear.  With everything else going on, it wasn’t really something you thought about.  “I got lasik?”
Jin blushes.  “My vision was really bad and the company convinced me to get lasik, but I was…nervous about it.  So you went and got it first so you could coach me through the process.  I couldn’t not get it after you went and did that.”
“I should hope so,” you joke.  He huffs and squeezes you as you giggle.  You sputter a bit on a strand of hair that the wind blows in your face and catch him watching you.  “Were you scared?”
“Yes.  But you were with me every step of the way.”
“Good.”  You gather your hair and brush it all to the opposite side the wind is blowing.  “Fact or fiction?  You are a nightowl.”
“Fiction.  I usually sleep early, around 2100, and wake up earlier than the other guys.  I like to have some peace and quiet to center myself before the day starts.”  But he’s been staying up late with you.  Keeping you company, reassuring you.  Just another way you’ve rearranged his whole life.  No wonder Hobi wants you to stay away from Jin.  A finger boops your nose, breaking you from your mental spiral.  You scrunch your nose and look up at Jin.  “Say the next one.”
“Hobi-oppa has a problem with me,” spills from your mouth.
Jin’s grin dims and settles into something contemplative as he considers your statement.  “You heard the other night.”
You nod.  There’s no point in hiding it.  If you wanted to dispel any suspicions, you probably should have proceeded with the movie night, but you just couldn’t.
“Hobi doesn’t have a problem with you.  He just—Sometimes I forget that you aren’t the only one affected by this…situation.  That I’m not the only one affected.  That each of us are affected.  We all deal with it in our own way and Hobi is dealing with it the best he can.  He blames himself for the situation—we all do—but he is especially hard on himself.”
“Why?”  You can see that Jin’s struggling to decide if it’s too much to tell you, his hands stilling from reeling.  “Please, Jin?”
He sighs and looks out at the water.  “Hobi was with you.  The both of you caught the sasaeng fishing out used tissues and water bottles from one of the dance studio trash cans.  Hobi was gonna talk to Bang PD-nim directly, but you said you’d handle it through proper channels because you work in HR, so he let it go.  He thinks he should have done more so you weren’t in the line of fire.  So that you hadn’t been targeted.”
Hobi feels guilty?
He shouldn’t.  Sasaengs are notoriously unstable and you’re grateful that none of the boys were hurt.  If it happened all over again, you wouldn’t have changed anything.  It was your job and the boys are yours to protect.
“So, Hobi might come off abrasive and controlling, but he’s simply…overprotective of you.  Of us.  He has a set choreography and gets worried when we step out of the careful lines he’s made to keep us safe.”
Grudgingly, you understand.  Hobi’s always been more by the book.  And for all his projected sunshiney, carefree persona, he prefers to deal with tangible results.  Still.
“I need him to cut me some slack or I’ll suffocate,” you quietly confess.
Jin pulls your hands from his vest.  You don’t know what he’s done with the rod, but he warms your hands in his.
“Jin.  I need answers.  I can’t keep living like this.”
His eyes search yours and you don’t know what he finds there, but finally, he nods.  “We’ll get through this.”
You’re not sure if he is trying to convince you or himself, but you silently think he shouldn’t make promises like that.
Soon after, Jin gives up for the day.  As he said, the captain has been successful and shares his bounty with Jin.  As you head back to land, Jin coaxes you into the Titanic pose and you both try to reenact the lines, giggling and improvising a few more.  He holds you from behind and at one point, he gathers your hair and grips it like a ponytail so that it stops whipping him in the face.  It takes everything in you not to let your mind wander into obscene scenarios with him tugging your hair like that.
Jin takes you to a hole in the wall restaurant close to the docks.  His guards set up shop in one of the booths near the kitchen doors, but you’re led to a tiny table in the kitchen where the ajussi cook immediately prepares the sashimi from the fresh fish the captain caught.  Turns out the ajussi cook is the captain’s brother and he taught Jin how to filet fish and prepare sashimi, but Jin still likes it best when he prepares it.  With all the reminiscing and ribbing between the two, Jin simply says, “Food tastes better with good stories.”
The sashimi is accompanied with a myriad of other dishes, the table balancing a precarious number of plates.  And Jin is right.  The food tastes amazing.  Although that could also be because you haven’t eaten all day and you are starved.  When it’s time to go, the ajussi refuses payment, but Jin sticks a thick bundle of won into the tip jar as you exit.
It’s only 1400 and you expect to head straight home, but instead, you find yourself at a noraebang.  You’re intimidated because who wants to sing next to a world renowned singer?  Jin is quick to quell your worries though, goofing off with trot and rap songs.  He even raps Jay-Z’s intro rap to Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella’ and you both come up with a zany interpretative dance.  He even gets his guards to leave their post and coerces them into doing a few Big Bang and TVXQ songs.  Jin kicks them out after they get a 100 score on their ‘Mirotic’ performance, jokingly complaining that they’re trying to upstage him.  You don’t remember ever having laughed so hard.
Jin convinces the driver to let him drive, so the driver joins his guards in a different vehicle.  Windows down, lazy tunes in the background, the day begins to catch up to you.  Somewhere in the middle of Jin telling you a childhood story about how Jungie-hyung forgot about him in the middle of hide and seek because he got distracted by a ppopgi cart, you fall asleep, lulled by his voice.
You’re woken with a gentle hand.  You sit up and smack your lips, mouth dry.  You hope you weren’t snoring or drooling.  You’re parked in front of a sprawling estate.  Jin helps you out of the car, which is for the best because you’re disoriented and distracted by your surroundings.  There’s a long, paved driveway lined with trees, the lawn crisply manicured.  Before you stands a two story house.  Most houses in Korea are historic or modern fortresses, but this house is similar to an English cottage.  It still has hanok influences in the trimming and modern influences around the big picture windows, but despite its size, it still looks cozy, teeming with flowers and plants and a smokey chimney.
“Wow,” you breathe, enchanted.  “This house is gorgeous.  I feel like we’re in a Studio Ghibli film.  Where are we?”  You turn to Jin who is carefully observing you.
“I’ll tell you in a bit.  Walk with me?”  He takes your hand and you let him lead you down a side path into the garden.  The path leads around to the backyard where a natural pool channels off to feed the flowers and plants, a controlled chaos that is wildly elegant.
The both of you sit on a small wooden bench, stretching out your legs as you both lean back and take in the garden.  The silence is comfortable.  It’s been a long day and being here feels like a well earned oasis.  The wind rustles the tops of the trees and birds call from the branches.  Dragonflies flit above the pool and butterflies glide among tiger lilies, hydrangeas, and delphinium.
Jin has his eyes closed, head tilted back as a breeze runs through his hair, the last bits of sunlight painting his face in a golden light.  He seems untouchable like this.  An adonis carved of marble never to be sullied by mortal hands.  Yet here you sit, legs tangled, shoulder to shoulder, the heat belying the cold art of him.  He turns to look at you and something in his eyes looks fearful, nervous, resigned, and you think, being art must be lonely.
The feeling that everything is about to change seeps into you.  Jin looks at you like he’s trying to memorize you, one hand holding yours and the other coming up to cup your cheek.  His palm follows the curve of your cheek to your jaw and his thumb brushes against your lips.  Your breath stutters and his eyes dip to where your chest heaves.  It feels like you’re standing at a precipice, and the only thing anchoring you is Jin’s hold on you.  He holds on to you so tightly trying to keep you there even as the void calls to you to step back and jump.
“Jin,” you whisper.  He lowers his hand.  “Kiss me.”
Jin’s eyes drop to your lips before his eyes pierce yours with a determination that sets fire to you.  His lips meet yours and the sweet bliss of it cracks your insides like the first bite of creme brulee.  You share a shaky breath as his arms pull you into his lap, his tongue swiping your lip before delving into you, savoring you with every curl of his tongue against your own.  His hand leaves goosebumps as it brushes up your arms and cradles your head, your hands trapped against his chest.
It feels like everything Jin can’t say is in this kiss.  His claim.  His love.  His declaration that he is yours.  His worship and delight.  His grief and anguish.  And just as it fills your heart and soul with home, home, home, there’s a whisper, a red hot knife’s edge of a farewell that cuts you even as it brands you, ruined for anyone else.
With one last press of his lips to yours, Jin pulls back.  His eyes are naked like all his strength went into the kiss and now he’s left defenseless.  All you see is don’t go, don’t go, don’t go and you desperately want to tell him that you’re not going anywhere, but you can’t.  You need to jump.
Jin carefully leads you to the front door of the house.  Your stomach swoops as you anticipate the jump.  He raises his hand and knocks on the door and it seems to echo heavily like a gavel at your sentencing.  There’s no turning back as the door opens.
“Y/N!  I’m so glad you could make it,” Areum says, cheerfully.  She swings the door wider.  “Come in!  We’re only halfway done cooking, so I hope you don’t mind keeping Byeol company.”
“Of course not.”  Jin’s tight grip on you loosens as you enter, but you stop when you realize he’s not following you.  Areum continues on, but you turn back to him.  The sun has almost set, the twilight casting him in shadow, eyes unreadable again.  “You’re not coming.”
“Someone will come pick you up when you’re done,” he says evenly.  Someone.  Not Jin.
You don’t know what you’ll find here that scares Jin so much. You think you’re in love with him, but you can’t quite trust yourself.  It’s hard to trust yourself when he’s looking at you like you’re about to leave him forever.  But there’s one thing you do know.
You come up to him and press your lips to his.  When you step back, he looks a little dazed, surprised.  Pleased, you say, “Fact.  I’m yours.”

Why yes, this fic does come with lore, why do you ask?
This is a 'Tennsyons didn't get the omnitrix and shit is being handled elsewhere' au because because.
Fic takes place around when AF would be starting in the proper timeline
The school does not have a name but is a boarding school for mutant kids (yes that old classic trope). While you technically could fit all the mutant teens in the US into one school (with the numbers for my crap there's about 13.6 thousand of them, which would put it sizewise on par with Arkansas State U's main campus) this isn't what's happening here. It's got maybe a thousand students. Teaches the usual school things while also having an expanded list of non-core classes, alongside offering help figuring out one's powers, while also providing the specialized support mutants tend to need.
Kevin is on his third year at the school, attending thanks to a juvenile rehabilitation program. His history is the same, minus the bits with Ben and plus a few extra years of trouble and spiraling before he was brought into custody. None of the other students at the school know what he did, just that he has to see a specialist initially once a week and then three times every two weeks and that a parole officer drops by at random to check on him. Having nowhere else to really go, he stays at the school year round.
Mike is on his second year, his parents were already considering sending him with his mom being far more into the idea than his dad, but then his dad caught him feeding off a neighbor's dog and that sorta sealed the 'clearly he needs somebody who knows what they're doing' deal. None of the other students know about his addiction problem besides Kevin, who he has joint therapy with every other week on top of seeing the same specialist every week.
Gwen, who is also on her second year, got to have a nice summer roadtrip with her grandpa and cousin, managing to develop a weaker but still noteworthy bond with the latter while staying mostly sheltered from the weirder shit that happened with Ben not getting dragged into stuff via heroism and a watch, and didn't encounter or learn magic. This gained her a few more years before her Spark finally really 'caught', which triggered her parents to send her to the school. If anything this has made her perfectionism issues worse, feeling a little like she's been cast aside (not helped by tending to feel like the more friendly Ben is better liked (why yes I do have headcanons about the causes of their issues with each other)). Since her powers have come in late and strong she has to get extra tutoring in managing and working with them, which Mike helps with. Still, she's never felt like she fit in as much as she does at the school.
She and Mike met at the Bellwood Airport heading into their first year and developed a 'how do you friend''holy crap someone like me''holy crap someone like me in my area' bond pretty much as soon as they realized they were going to the same school. They were each other's first friend at the school- to the point where the Christmas before the fic Mike slept at home yeah but was functionally staying with the Tennysons- with Kevin slowing working his way into the group during their first year and Cooper being adopted right off the bat.
Cooper in on his first year, after his mom got a raise that let's them have the money to send him. Met Gwen and Mike at the airport, was immediately adopted into the group when they realized where he was heading. Boy is not complaining about having a trio of older kids accept him into their friend group, and may or may not have taken a while to stop following people (*cough*Kevin*cough*) around like a puppy. He's struggling a little with getting back into the swing of things after years of homeschooling, but is mostly managing especially with the help of his friends.

Caring Caregivers
As they were sound asleep in their bed, Camila and Philip were abruptly awakened by three small voices crying out for them.
Rushing out of their room, the two guardians burst into another one.
When Camila turns on the light, she and Philip see Little Luz, Little Vee, and Little Hunter all crying in their beds (Luz and Vee share a bed), with Hunter hiding under his covers.
Philip takes a seat beside the blonde, while Camilla rushes over to the girls.
“My babies,” she softly began, sitting on their bedside. She beckons them both for hugs. Their cries were quieted once they cuddled with their mother. “What happened?”
“Me and Vee had a nightmare, Mom,” Luz whimpers.
“Yeah,” Vee agrees with a hiccup. “There was a big scary sludge monster. He had scary glowy eyes and-and scary skeleton teeth. He took you to his dark scary cave away from us, and we never saw you again.”
“Oh, girls,” A sympathetic coo came from Camila. “It was just a dream. No big scary sludge monster is going to take me away from you.”
“They’re not?” Luz softly inquired with a sniffle.
Camila shakes her head and flashes a determined smile as she holds her fists out in front of her. “Nope. And if he ever did, I would pa-pow!” She proceeds to make a few punching motions. “Right in his ugly face!”
The girls giggle at this, feeling a lot better by the fact that their mama would be okay.
She was so brave and strong.
“Hunter, what’s wrong?” Philip tried his best to comfort the small boy, putting a parental arm around him. “Everything’s all right now.”
Hunter’s sobs come to a slow stop as he pulls his covers down, a timid look in his eyes. “I-I had a really bad dream,” he admits, pulling his red cardinal plushie close.
“A goopy antler monster. He chased me into the woods. Flapjack tried to protect me, but he… he…” He sniffles. “He died. The monster killed him.”
Philip was a bit puzzled by this story. “Your… bird doll?” he questions, referring to his plush.
“He was a real bird in my dreams,” Hunter somberly explains with a sigh, looking down. “I should have fought that monster, but I was too scared. I’m such a baby. I wish I were brave…”
“Now, Hunter,” Philip said in a soft, soothing voice. “Being scared doesn’t make you a baby. I was scared when I heard you, Luz, and Vee screaming. But did I hide under the covers?”
“No,” Hunter replies with another sniffle. “You ran in to check up on us very brave-like.”
“You see, bravery doesn’t mean you’re not scared. Bravery is doing what you’re afraid to do,” Philip explains, softly patting Hunter’s head. “If you can just face your fears, then I know you can find the courage to beat them.”
The brunette’s speech ends with a sincere smile and a hair ruffle as Hunter smiles back at him.
He hopes to someday be brave like Philip.
The lights in the room were now off as Philip stood at the bedroom doorway.
“Goodnight,” He whispers as Little Luz and Little Vee were sound asleep. As he begins to close the door, Philip catches the sound of a soft whimper. He looks to see Hunter, who has the largest set of sad puppy dog eyes imaginable.
Philip decides to creak the door open for him so he’s not in complete darkness as the two share a smile.
Hunter instantly falls asleep.
Turning to leave, Philip’s lips are met with a surprise peck.
“Hey,” Camila starts with a sweet smile, “I heard what you said to Hunter in there about being brave. I know he’s technically not yours, but you do a good job at taking care of him.”
“As do you,” Philip compliments her back, a bit of blush appearing on his cheeks.
After a light giggle, Camila takes Philip’s hand, happily leading him back to their room.
