Guitarist!Tomura also has me in a chokehold, which is why it took me so long to write a follow-up! I really love him in this AU so there may be more to come.

“Okay, now that we’re done laughing at Shigaraki, first things first —”

“Laughing at Tomura-kun is the first thing,” Toga says. Dabi glares at her. “Don’t make that face! If I was singing love duets through the wall with my neighbor, you guys would never let me live it down.”

“Nobody gets to live that down. That is not cool band guy behavior,” Twice announces from behind the drum set. Then, like always, he changes his tune. “Don’t worry, Shigaraki! I think it’s sweet!”

“I think we should never talk about it again,” Tomura mutters. He turns to Dabi. “You were saying something, right?”

“Yeah,” Dabi says. “First things first. Does anybody have any new songs?”

The band always needs new songs, and everyone’s supposed to bring one to practice. In theory they should always have something cooking. In reality, they get a new song maybe every six practices, and only some of those are good. They’d be better if anybody liked taking feedback on their lyrics. But they don’t.

“I have one,” Spinner says, “but —”

“Is it about being a true artist and not whoring yourself out to the Spotify algorithm?” Dabi doesn’t wait for an answer. “No.”

“We could use it if we metaphor it a bit,” Spinner protests. He passes a piece of paper to Tomura. “Look.”

Tomura scans the lyrics. He likes some of Spinner’s phrasing, and the song structure works, but he can see a few too many lines about standing apart from the machine. And Spinner’s not the only one who writes like that. “Why don’t we just do a whole LP around that? Give it some characters and a plotline and then it’s not just an album. It’s a story arc.”

“You think we can pull that off?” Toga looks up, interested. “What about a love story?”

“No.”

“Hey, that could work!” Twice taps the kick drum for emphasis. “Like, think about it! The protagonists are falling in love amidst the machines and then they have to defeat them if they want to be together!”

“There’s no way we can pull that off,” Tomura says. Twice ignores him, and he looks to Dabi for help. “If we’re going to do a concept album, let’s do an album about a concept we actually understand.”

“Nobody’s going to listen to us if we’re just complaining about the system,” Dabi says. “We need a hook. The love story’s a hook.”

“Then one of us had better figure out how to write love songs,” Spinner says. “Because we all kind of suck at it.”

Dabi looks like he’s thinking about it, and Tomura wonders, like he does every so often, why he decided to let Dabi project-manage the band he started. “Okay,” Dabi says finally. “We’re calling practice for today. No more practice until everybody has at least one song to share.”

“Oh, come on —”

“How much of a song do we need to have?” Toga interrupts Tomura.

“At least two verses and a chorus. Instrumentation optional,” Dabi decides. There goes Tomura’s plan to weasel out of this by coming up with a melody and chord progression and calling it good. “Text the group chat when you’ve got something.”

Everybody else starts packing up their instruments, like this is settled or something. Tomura came up with the stupid concept album idea. He’s the one who has to put the brakes on. “We can’t just not practice,” he says. “We have shows booked next month.”

“So you’d better get writing, then.”

“Yeah. More writing, less singing to your neighbor through the wall,” Spinner says. Tomura glares at him. “Maybe you can write a song about that.”

Tomura will write a song about that when hell freezes over. But he needs to write something, or the band’s not going to practice at all before their first gigs of the school year. A concept album about humans falling in love while standing up to the machine or the man or whatever. This is going to be a nightmare.

When Tomura gets home, his neighbors are just as noisy as ever, except for you. You’re quiet. Are you even home? Tomura tries to write, but it’s hard to focus when he’s so busy listening. He’s still not sure if you heard him singing along with you, but what if you did, and you got so embarrassed that you’re never going to sing again? If someone had told Tomura this morning that he’d be upset that one of his neighbors wasn’t making noise, he’d have told them they were out of their mind.

And then he hears it, just past midnight — quiet humming from the other side of the wall, a tune that’s vaguely familiar. This time, when the words pick up, Tomura doesn’t sing along. He just listens as you mumble your way through the first verse of The Last Shadow Puppets’ Miracle Aligner. “Often the humble kind, but he can’t deny he was born to blow your mind — or something along those lines —”

It’s not Tomura’s favorite song from that band, but given that you like the band enough to get their songs stuck in your head, your taste in music is at least decent. Tomura won’t be able to decide if it’s actually good until he hears you sing a few more songs. And speaking of a few more songs — Tomura picks up his pen again and scrawls out a single lyric across the top of the page. Screw a concept album, for now at least. He just has to start somewhere.

One lyric turns into another, turns into a verse and the start of a chorus. Tomura writes until two am, your voice brushing softly against his ear.

[ancient-qveen: I linked this interview before but I wanted to make a dedicated post about it because its not that easy to find. Credit to AEon]

Emperor formed about Sept of ’91, with the following line-up: Steingrimm – guitar and vocal, Samot /Lord of Silence/ - guitar/ex-drums and Emperor Mortiis – bass /on the photo L to R/. They recorded the debut demo in May, on a 4-tracker. Euronymous offered them a record-deal, and a few months later Samot left the band to join BURZUM. Let’s see...

Well, you formed about one year ago and released a demo... How do you see this time, are you staisfied with your work?

Mortiis: Yeah! We are satisfied with our work. As for what we created during Oct-May, we are not really sounding so much like that any longer. As well as his lyrics are a lot more in depth of total Evil! Our music is still /of course/ blacker than bottomless lakes, and even more errie, depressive and deep! The lyrics for the demo was about Vampirism, Witchism, Black Magic etc. this is still our subject, but it’s all in one dark world. All the lyrics belong to teach other, and his lyrics always will. They are of a thousand years to come. Forgotten by time itself!

Did or do you play in other bands besides EMPEROR? And what about Samot, you know, strange to hear that he joins BURZUM, because as Grev said, his band is and will be only a one-piece band... 

Mortiis: Yes, he did play in a couple band before. But they are nothing to talk about! Fuck them! Although for one of them the lyrics for “Forgotten Centuries” and “Moon over Karashehr” were written. But for luck never used. All those people, the lowlife human life form, deserve torture! He believes that the Samot/BURZUM thing is because the Count wanted BURZUM to be a live band! Something like that... Anyway, people should be aware that Samot is still in EMPEROR, and hopefully forever will be...

Let’s see your demo... How can you describe your music, and which bands helped to develop it?

Mortiis: Witching Black Metal! No bands helped us create that cursed demo. We are not saying that we are totally original at that time but now we are! Yeah!, but no bands really influenced us so much. Better ask Samot and Steingrimm this question instead! Probably that band that “develop” us must be VENOM, for creating Black Metal itself!

After the BURZUM, MAYHEM, and ABRUPTUM LPs Euro offered a record-deal to you, too. Which trax will be on it, and what do you think, when will you be able to release it?

Mortiis: The LP will come in the past darkness. We don’t know yet. We’ve got 4 songs mainly worked out, plus he and Ygg are working on two other one. There will be 10 trax all in all! Besides of two guitars, bass and drums /session, but we haven’t found any yet!. There will be constant synth, piano parts, female vocals, cello etc... The studio will be filled up with several instruments... It will be massive for sure! Some titled: “The Stargate”, “Emperor of a Dimension Unknown”, “Chronicles”..., “Reflections of Horizons Dark”, “In the October Frost”, “Gathering Ancient Wisdom /and a New Soul/”, and more!

Something has happened in North-Europe, especially in Norway. Just see, The BURZUM LPs, the second DARKTHRONE LP, and bands with great demos, like ENSLAVED or EMPEROR. Can we speak about a new Black Metal generation or reborn? How do you see the true scene in 2-3 years?

Mortiis: The true and evil Black Metal generation is born! In 2-3 years there will be alot less goodness around! Hopefully he will get to move out of his parents’ house and do some pain to humanity!

Let’s see your life... Do the members live together? Do you have time besides the band for your hobbies /if you have/? And what about the financial side, are you working or going to school?

Mortiis: He is not of this earth. It took him almost 17 years to realize the essence of his soul is not of earth! no, the members do not live together. Samot is at some place in cold Norway. Steingrim is living with his father and other times his mother. Mortiis /Him/ lives with his earthly “guardians” right now. We have no hobby. Our lifes are dark. Our band rehearses seldom these days. But we seem to be getting things together taking the situation into consideration! Both him and Ygg is still doing the school. So financially our lifes are not such interesting...

You inspired by the events of Adolf Hitler. What do you think, is Nazism still alive and will it rise again?

Mortiis: As for today’s Nazism, he doesn’t care about it. If some extreme violence is caused by them, it will be shown on TV. And he will get to see it eventually anyway... Those nazi leaders of today are probably intelligent and all that, but none of them could ever stand up to the genive status that Hitler had. He read a couple of books about Hitler about 2 years ago. And few people know that Hitler drove his sister’s daughter to suicide. And if it hadn’t been for some people who guarded him day and night, he would have killed himself, too. And then there wouldn’t have been any World War II. If the new Nazism rises or not it’s unimportant to him. At least, they are causing lots of pain and fear...

Sooner or later the world will have end... What do you prefer, a new and final World War or natural disasters?

Mortiis: They both sound tempting. Though a war would mean a modern day elimination.

NIGHTWISH's TUOMAS HOLOPAINEN Finds The Traditional Pop Song Structure 'Tedious And Boring'

In a new interview with Benni of Thomann Music, NIGHTWISH keyboardist and main songwriter Tuomas Holopainen spoke about his knack for writing long songs that do not follow the traditional format for radio-friendly singles. He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "We've been doing things this way for almost 28 years now, so why the hell would we change anything at the moment? But, yeah, it's really tedious to me that you have to do a song like under four minutes all the time — it has to have a chorus, it has to talk about somebody's love life or broken relationships. It's just tedious and boring to me. There is a time and place for those songs as well, but if you have a story you want to tell, and it needs some time to be told in a proper way, you just take your time and the song lasts however [long] it needs to last. As simple as that."

NIGHTWISH's latest album, "Yesterwynde", arrived on September 20 via Nuclear Blast. It marks the band's tenth studio LP, following on from the release of "Human. :II: Nature." in 2020.

Five months ago, Tuomas told Kerrang! magazine about the new album's first single, "Perfume Of The Timeless": "When we had the first meeting with Nuclear Blast, talking about the new album and singles, I told them the first single will be a song called 'Perfume Of The Timeless' and it's eight and a half minutes long and the chorus comes in at 3:30. And they were, like, 'Perfect!' I think that has to do with the fact that we have a long legacy. You know, we can do whatever we want, and I do, but it says something that we can do that, when I heard that for Spotify it's good to have the vocals start after 15 seconds, or people skip it; they don't have the attention span anymore."

Holopainen previously said about the new NIGHTWISH LP: "'Yesterwynde' took more time to make than any previous NIGHTWISH album. The new album was intensively worked on for three and a half years. My ambition and piety really skyrocketed, and I just couldn't let go of the creative process — and didn't want to. Along the way, 'Yesterwynde' became both an exhilarating obsession and a comforting haven for me. All aspects of the making — compositions, lyrics, arrangements, cover art, videos, mixing and so on — were given more attention than ever before."

The lyrics of "Yesterwynde" deal with large-sized universal themes: memories, mortality, humanism, time and much more. "The new album is the conclusion of the trilogy — textually, it follows in the footsteps of its predecessors 'Endless Forms Most Beautiful' and 'Human. :II: Nature.'," Holopainen said. "At the same time, 'Yesterwynde' is the band's most lyrically driven album: our music has never been so 'married' to the lyrics. So here's a tip: if something in the composition puzzles you, the words might clear it up."

"For me, one of the key lines is 'we are because of a million loves' — taken from the song 'Perfume Of The Timeless'," he continued. "Each of us is part of an unbroken chain that stretches back billions of years. If even one of your ancestors had died too young — mauled by a cave bear, for example — during this incredibly long period of time, you would never have been born. In other words: our existence is such an unfathomable privilege."

Somebody had to do it one day, and I had some ideas, so... Bear in mind these are mostly headcanons, even if I'm basing these on what we already have. Oh also, even if I don't write "q!", if I mention our French streamers' names, know that I'm obviously talking about the cubitos.

Kameto also wasn't here, but we could imagine he was actually already spying for the Federation, lurking in the shadows, watching the Serveur du Lundi doing their thing...

"Pepito Kawazakii" is actually one of his (many) aliases (which include "Odessa Silverberg" and others), when he wants to travel incognito (or do some shady stuff without facing the consequences).

i don't think she ever "figured it out" in the way most people would but that's mainly because i see etho as having a very weird upbringing. she was very lonely as a child and didn't really start meeting people from wider society who treated her like a human but also would inflict gender roles on her until mindcrack when she was like... mid 20s. and yeah there definitely was a bit of teasing there but i don't think it really awakened anything in her more just confused her. if you pushed him about a bit and called him a girl insultingly he'd be like ? No I'm not. Because he has lived so far detached from society he can't even conceptualise the idea of feminity being a "weakness" yet #feminist but also he was raised to play very particular roles and wear very particular masks and girl is not and never has been one of them, he is a Guy, theres no questioning that.

But then yeah of course there is because she leaves mindcrack on pretty bad terms and spends some short time alone before she gets pulled onto hermitcraft and while she's sitting alone she does eventually realise oh, people can do that, people can change. And that fucking terrifies her, so much, because she already has horrible identity issues and doesn't really fully understand it so to her it's an all or nothing 100% change of self, and that's sort of awesome in a way but also really scary because that means rejecting literally everything about herself both past and present and she goes AHHHH FUCK and puts that back in the box and then xisuma recruits her like at the end of iron man when they were setting up the avengers movie. And she goes to hermitcraft and doesn't think about any of that for a really long time despite the never ending horrors happening all the time.

In my head he sort of. Doesn't Get Over It but he comes to terms with all the weird shit that happened to him when he was younger re: 404 and the LP between HC 5 and 7 like he was away on a soul searching mission. And then HC7 has its own fresh nightmares as he comes to terms with HC5 because that was a can of worms itself but this time the difference is that he has friends around him who gets it and can help him. And this is roundabout the time she starts to think about it more because she gets quite close to grian post-mycelium resistance and grian is a trans girl who takes estrogen and everything which is like, everything etho was terrified of, and they have some very clumsy and candid conversations where grian is definitely Not the best person to talk to because she's like well you're fucking stupid. But after talking to her and maybe cleo a bit too though idk if they would have been close enough at that point and bdubs too because while he doesn't know anything about this he knows a lot about etho, she eventually realises wow this doesn't have to be a new mask or a massive upheaval this is just something i can try out on the side if i like it. And so she does! Originally just with her absolute closest friends using she/her sometimes (she ends up using he/she alternately, because she doesn't really have any problem with he/him) and while she never formally Comes Out because that's not her style it spreads until most people use it.

Etho is very much a character of certainty imo, he likes rigid ideas when it comes to himself so he knows what to live up to, so i think not making her label her gender (or sexuality except that's. A different can of worms albeit a slightly less complicated one) is a bit of a character growth thing as much as it is a personal decision. Learning he can not constantly stress over the finer details or try to live up to what others decide he should be whether that's a man or a woman or something else entirely and just accepting that she's herself, and that's her own choice, is a Big Thing for her. though i don't know if she recognises that .

this jyl thinks briefly on 'the fate of women' as she prepares to stay in CR to look over wwx and talks about the inevitability of her marriage and her departure from LP with a sad sort of pragmatism and I feel like this reading of her is extremely unpopular in the neighborhood I'm in bc ppl tend to like to uplift her social and political power in the narrative and I enjoy reading those too for sure but the canonical fact is that she is a gentry woman in a strongly patriarchal society and she understands that and responds to it and she lives within that world. in canon, jyl has very little social or political power. she is vulnerable after the deaths of her parents and must rely on her younger brothers to protect her. she is not taken seriously in political matters, she is not a sect heir, and the only sway she ever holds in public is through a verbal condemnation of a man using her family's title, and backed up by that man's aunt (married to a very powerful political figure). the only reason jzx listens to her is because he personally cares for her. jc doesn't have much power as a very young sect leader of a small sect, but as an individual jyl has far less, and is hardly in a position to act as any sort of authority. and her timid nature (in the novel, 'plain face'), and lack of martial ability give her no advantages that anyone in the cultivation world would respect

and I honestly find the realism in that frank understanding of her situation pretty refreshing bc like in real life women often didn't have that social and political power and they had to live their lives like that anyway and she's still a full human being with her own desires and frustrations and all. like that post about how yeah x female character may not have a lot of agency but that doesn't inherently mean the writing is bad or shallow or anti-feminist, it may just be an honest reflection of a society that denied women agency and an examination of their lives taking that into account

I will say I think this is a little exaggerated bc the jiangs (or at least jfm) are clearly the types of people to not force a marriage on jyl, and in this setting apparently cutsleeve marriages happen for diplomatic reasons so I can't really give it too much credit for strict adherence to setting accuracy, but it DOES recognize the reality of her role in her social situation instead of ignoring it so. I would hardly call it feminist but it's worth mentioning at least. I think

RF1: Year 1 - Spring 5

On Spring 5, Raguna got the Pet Glove from Tabatha.

Continuing from my thoughts from Year 1 - Spring 4, her dialogue also raised a bunch of questions about life outside of Kardia.

When explaining to Raguna how to use the Pet Glove, she says:

"The way to get along with something without speaking is through showing how you feel. Even if the monster hits you, you have to show it that you want to be friends."

Disclaimer: The information below will only be considering RF1 information, I have never played Rune Factory Frontier (but will after I finally beat RF2!). I want to take advantage of my ignorance to write about my perspective of JUST the RF1 universe!

*TABATHA SPOILER WARNING START*

I hc that in RF1, Tabatha was the one who invented the Pet Glove since she's dedicated her life to being the bridge between humans, elves, dwarves, and monsters. In her years of crafting and testing out the glove, she must have gotten hurt quite a bit!

I say this because Raguna compliments her for "knowing so much", and she just replies with "Yeah, Well… I know… He he he!".

Not wanting to give up her farce as a "simple maid", she brushes off her skills and knowledge with laughter.

I also think that Tabatha giving Raguna the Pet Glove is the most poetic part of this game. To marry Tabatha, you will have needed to tame over 50 monsters. Her LP also raises whenever you tame a monster, making her one of the few girls who falls for Raguna for his character rather than through gifts and attention.

The fact that she literally hands Raguna the item needed to win over her hand in marriage (or rather, for her to ask his hand...) and then she simply just...watches him. She evaluates his character. She gives him space to see if living with monsters is something he is interested in pursuing. She doesn't push her agenda on him and I love her for that.

The cherry on top is it comes full circle to the advice she gave him when she started her test:

"The way to get along with something without speaking is through showing how you feel."

There's an entire sub-rant I have about if Elves speak a different language, which is also related to the quote above. Tabatha, having to learn how to speak Nordian, originally spoke more with her actions than her words. This would also explain why she has a bit of an accent when she speaks! Alternatively, maybe it's just part of her "country" act.

Overall, I think this quote is the quote that defines Tabatha's character. You see her show her feelings a lot through actions like she did on Year 1 - Spring 2!

One ABSOLUTELY loves the fighting (and the flirting choices) of the game, while the other is more invested in the lore (ESPECIALLY the garbage can lore). (Ill call em FP and LP respectively).

Both share one main team when they play story mode together but have their own teams when they play independently, they work together like an well-oiled machine when they play together. (FP specializing in fights with equiptment and strategy, while LP aids in lore aspects of quests, and explains lore to FP when theyre confused) The main trio have a special place in their hearts so they lovingly call em "our children"

Id imagine, they'd get petty if one accidentally plays some of the storyline ahead being like " you played ahead...??? Without me?!?!?! JAIL! JAIL FOR 100,000 YEARSS >:o" - LP

Heres some interactions I'd imagine the character may overhear:

Fp: *about sampo's slits of skin* he's just a goofy little guy who just a little fruity, I mean sureeee he's aware of the fourth wall and scams people BUT he's just so silly 😌💕 Lp: Listen, I get it, he's your snookims 🙄 but just because he's dresses fruity DOES NOT make you immune to the cold, ESPECIALLY the Belabog winters.😒

LP: *Blade makes a quote about death* Me too bestie, me too 😔✌️ FP: Jesus christ, LP we've talked about this, this is the exact the reason I can't let you have Blade on your team. LP: I mean to be fair, the difference between me and them is that I got therapy and a solid support system. He's just my darker timeline. FP: ..... Dammit your right..

FP: *Just pulled Kafka* LETS GOOOO!! MOMMY KAFKA HAS COME HOME TO MEEE!!! *barking* LP: *snorts in the background* FP: Oh Shi- * hits themselves with the phone* LP: * laughing hysterically with the sounds of slapping can be heard in the back*

LP: *out of the blue* I miss my hubby :( FP: Who? LP: Screwllium FP: .... The robot??? LP: Yeah :( FP: Why?? Are your old men not enough for you? A self-aware au in which two players with very different play styles share an account. What do the characters think of them?

The first of the “children”. Caelus feels flattered that the players think of him that way but is a bit curious as to why they call him that considering everyone’s respective age…

Loves the banter between the two players. He’s a quietly sarcastic little gremlin so that’s right up his alley.

Has a soft spot for the lore focused player, mostly since they like the garbage can lore and that’s something he feels he and the player can bond over.

But both players hold a special place in his heart since he’s formed a bond with both of them over the course of the game.

Dan Heng has so many questions. Why are the players calling him their “child”? He’s older than they are. And there’s certainly no biological connection.

Regardless, he knows it’s their way of displaying affection so he’ll take their comments with gratitude, despite their baffling nature.

Has a preference towards the lore invested player, mostly because history and the story behind the story are his interests as well. He feels they can bond over that shared interest.

He also appreciates it when the players find records that get added to the archive. He wouldn’t be able to read as much if they didn’t so he’s very grateful.

Unlike Dan Heng, March absolutely loves being referred to as one of the players “children”. She thinks it’s a sweet term of affection.

She doesn't like playing favourites but she has a preference towards the player that prefers fighting and flirting. She thinks they’re fun!

Like Caelus, March loves the banter between the players, as long as it doesn’t get too serious; she likes to keep things fun.

She always gets nervous when the story progresses with only one player present. She knows they only play the storyline together, so she gets concerned that something has happened to the other player.

Welt is concerned about the players sometimes…why is one of the players calling Screwllum their “hubby”? And is the other player talking about him when they talk about the old man?!

But his concern is just his way of displaying his affection for the players.

The contrast between their playing styles may have confused and annoyed him at first but it quickly grows on him and now he can’t imagine any other playing style.

Doesn’t really have a favourite between the players. If he had to choose, he might lean more towards the lore focused player since flirting isn’t really his style. But he cares for the both pretty equally.

Jing Yuan will argue over who the players are referring to when they talk about the “old men” forever. In his mind, that’s him; if he’s going to be called old, it may as well be in reference to someone showing interest in him…

He’s a general so he has a lot of respect for the players for taking turns when their respective interests and strengths are relevant.

Despite their cohesion, Jing Yuan will sometimes critique the players on their shortfallings. They work well together most of the time, but when one plays ahead, Jing Yuan just shakes his head.

He knows there’s going to be some pettiness to follow the next time both players are on together.

Sampo doesn’t know whether to be flattered or insulted when the players keep talking about him being “just a goofy little guy who’s just a little fruity”.

He loves the fighting and flirting player; they remind him a lot of himself so he feels like they share a strong connection.

Since he’s the only one with the power to break the fourth wall, he often passes on messages from the other characters. He just has to find ways to work those messages into the story so it doesn’t seem strange.

And the other characters have to repay him somehow. Sampo’s not doing that for free, he’s got his own messages to pass along as well.

Kafka is subtly honoured that the players feel so positively about her, especially the fighting and flirting player.

When she came home for the first time, she was bombarded by screams as the players celebrated her arrival.

Doesn’t have a favourite between the players but if forced to choose, she would probably say the fighting flirting player.

What can she say? Undying affection is something she can appreciate and that player certainly has that in droves for her.

Blade is more reserved about his affection for the players. His main way of displaying affection for them is increasing the number of quotes he says about death.

He knows the lore based player likes those quotes and he enjoys hearing the banter between the players after he says something edgy.

He is slightly concerned about them sometimes though. His edginess and depression is fine since he’s just a character. But it’s different for the players and he hopes they’re doing okay.

No preference between the players but he prefers it when they’re both playing together. It leads to less conflict in the future…

Attention readers: Don’t read this if you don’t want spoilers for my fanfiction Unveiling the Bond.

Hi Leffee! I want your opinion about something. Don’t you think the fact that the creators of LPS 2012 admitted Blythe’s mom is dead feels a bit dark for a children’s cartoon? Personally, I didn’t want Blythe’s mom to have passed away especially since she was still relatively young. In my fanfiction, I want to handle her death in a way that feels as painless as possible. I’ve thought about different possibilities like a terminal illness, an accident, poisoning, or even the result of a crime but all of those options seem a bit too heavy, especially when considering whether Roger could have done something to prevent it. I also don’t want others to be harmed or die with her, like in an accident.

I haven’t settled on the cause of her death yet in my fanfiction, but all the possibilities feel tough to think about. I’m leaning toward making her death the result of her own carelessness rather than someone else’s fault, so Blythe wouldn’t have to carry any resentment. Even if she didn’t feel resentful, I just don’t like the idea of her mom’s death being caused by another person.

For instance, maybe Blythe’s mom didn’t keep up with her health checks, especially since she volunteered for an organization in a genetic experiment in my story. If she had, she would be alive. I also don’t want to portray the organization as being unethical if Blythe’s mom were still alive, they would’ve forced her to check her health, but ultimately, she made her own decisions. I feel like I might be going too deep into ethical territory, but I’d like to know your opinions oc if you want. Is it appropriate to describe Blythe's mother's death this way?

I’m trying to make the organization is ethical because they’ve helped humanity a lot, as well as contributed to advancements in medicine that have increased the human lifespan.

Wait, did they ever admit that Blythe's mom is dead? I mean, it is heavily implied, but you know, it's never technically stated. Anyway, is it dark for a children cartoon? Eh, I mean, again, even if we do think she's dead they never provided any details, so I personally don't think so. Then again I never minded any human death in any medium, so maybe I'm not the right person to ask. I also like pain in fiction so again, I might not be the right person, but if you want to make it painless then go for it, perhaps go with death in her sleep, whether you choose go with her causing her own death by being careless or something else.

I do like where you're going with the organization being a good one, the big organization in stories being all evil is just so predictable it's more of a twist when it's not. I personally don't mind any unethical things, but if you do then go with whatever is comfortable for you to write. As for is it appropriate? I mean yeah, I think it is. Again, your choice, but I am very much for writing/reading inappropriate things (well, depends, but aside from sex I'm pretty much fine with anything, hell yeah give me inappropriate, unethical things).

If I were to give you an advice, don't wonder that much if it's appropriate to write something. It's a story, it's fiction, if you want to write it just do it and then maybe put a warning if you feel it's appropriate.

Minka and Applejack... in love...

Oh wait since I came up with this I probably get to come up with a ship name, right? I dub thee MinkaJack

I have my reasons (which you can read below)

So basically one day i was thinking about my mlp magical girl au and then i was like yeah it'd be fun if it took place in the same universe as my human lps au. Then i thought hey maybe one of the 7 pets could be like a villain of the week or need to be rescued and somehow these two were the first two that popped into my head. So in this AU of my AUs they have a Clark Kent/Superman and Lois Lane type relationship going on where AJ and Minka have this mutual awkward crush thing in civilian mode. AJ has a dog and Minka works at a pet store so they keep running into each other. Minka keeps on getting into danger so magical girl AJ saves her. So the element of honesty has to keep up a lie to maintain her secret identity.

Their main dynamic is that Minka does her usual yapping (abliet more flustered than usual) and AJ is mostly quiet but is very interested in what she has to say. Sometimes AJ flirts with Minka and Minka gets so flustered she loses the ability to talk (fig. 2).

Also both of their friend groups like to bother them about their girlfriends because neither of them ever talk about people they like. I feel like Zoe and Rainbow Dash would be the most obnoxious about it.
