I understand why allowing, or even encouraging immigration for highly skilled/education workers who actually want to work is desirable, perhaps even necessary. Its not comparable to thousands of migrants jumping the border then going into government subsidized housing.

What I dont understand is why you would give American companies tax incentives to hire them.
