{VIP Hour}
So I had this idea have playing some phone games to start writing nsfw stuff in first person, took a poll and Domini was the one who won so yea here we go!
Tumblr media
Reader x Domini It was finally happening with the seasons finally changing the festivals were coming from the foolish festive to the Jester Fester concert and all the in between you had gotten tickets for them all alongside a friend surprising you with VIP tickets them working their seadweller magic. The night finally came the field was packed with trolls looking for a good place to stand or lay a blanket out to relax you thanked the gods above and below that this was a no cull zone therefor you didn’t have to worry about having your head roll off your damn shoulders while trying to enjoy some damn music, there was one band that you were looking forward to Silent Storm you've listened to them for a while now- in fact ever since the band was formed! you've spent hours watching live performances on grubtube.
The sudden sound of music and screams pulled you from your thoughts as the show started your jaw dropped as you ran to the front jumping over a few trolls that were laying down getting to that front space as the show started. There she was Domini, The Domini Mariee coming out starting the first song. "Little girl you like it loud, come alive in the middle of the crowed-." Domini started the mic being held up to her lips, you watched in amazement her body moving so fluently with the music you were hypnotized by this fucking clown. The concert lasted a few hours but finally concluded addressing those with VIP's to go to the after party meet and greet- wait- wait that was you!, you were a VIP! you swallowed hard thinking about it you were going to meet them- meet her your body seemed to move on its own as you and the group moved heading over to the meeting place. Rockin Rukers bar named after the city known to be the first bar that opened there holding onto your VIP ticket you made it in the line but mother nature was taking over the need to go was urgent but you also didn't want to loose your spot in line it became to much and you headed to the restrooms but there was even a line there! damn it you felt as if your bladder was about to burst!.
Finally you had your turn however when you came out the band was packing up Domini waving to all the fans blowing a kiss towards them, NO! you missed them! you missed your chance to talk to meet in seconds you were deflated you were so close yet so far the urge to punch your gut was high but to not look like a nutcase you refrained and slump back to the hotel. Thankfully the cafeteria was still open when you got back you could at lest drown your sorrow in food the only comfort you wanted right now  you settled for a sandwich, chips and a bottle of soper booze staying slumped in the chair you needed some booze after this night. So close so damn close.
"Hey you okay?." Man you could still hear her voice, you had it bad yeah but even you didn't think you had it that bad. "Hey?." You felt a poke against your shoulder which made you shoot up with an almost cartoony 'Ah!' which was accompanied by another 'Ah!' looking up you froze there- standing in front of you was her- Domini. "I- I- I-." You stuttered which got a giggle from the clownette that giggle replaying in your head.
"I was asking if you were okay- you were kind of slumped over like a sack of potatoes-." There was a gasp as she pointed at the table. "You like this booze to?!, I don't know anyone else that drinks it, usually they all go for that brand name shit y'know?."  A smile rested on her face before it turned into a humored smirk a hand reaching out to close your mouth which had fallen open unknown to you. "This seat taken?." She asked before you scrambled to move your stuff both of you talking and drinking one turned to two, two turned to three, three turned to four and- fuck you lost count you both did apparently it sure as hell made you both relax and laugh. You weren't even sure how you got there or when you got there but you were there in the elevator heading to the top floor you had Domini pinned to the elevator wall your lips crush against hers the kisses needy, sloppy and frantic at some point in the conversation you'd learned just how lonely being on tour could be especially when all you had waiting for you at home was a cold bed. You pushed your tongue past the purplebloods lips forcing her lips apart.
The move got a moan that you more than happily swallowed you could smell her pheromones' that sweet, rosey yet spicy scent that dragged you in a strong whiff of her hit your nose causing you to buck your hips involuntary against the singer. Oh she liked that she really liked that as she kissed you with more need  her hands running up your chest to hook on your shoulders her leg lifting to wrap around your hip. Damn it you wanted to turn her around bend her over and fuck her right against the wall of that elevator even more so as your hands gripped at her ass round and plump each cheek fit perfectly in your palms.
Domini leaned her head back against the wall with a gasp as the elevator dinged alerting you that you'd arrived thankfully it seemed that not many trolls were up this high which was perfect as you both fumbled out of the elevator grabbing at each other's cloths on the way to her room. you were already hard causing a tent in your pants. She missed the keycard slot a few times her attention was still on your battling tongues though finally she managed to get it in, as soon as that door was opened you pushed her in the door being closed rather hard accidently of course. You couldn't wait and it seemed she couldn't either turning the Mariee around chest first against the door your hands moving desperately to your belt the think clinking around as you undid your pants hands moving to the hem of that tight leather skirt yanking it up to Domini's middle those black laced panties pushed down baring that dripping slick puffy nook her own bulge hard and pressed against the door.
Grabbing her hips you slid into her you both giving a happy sigh before you began a rhythm thrusting into her she was slick soft and hugged your bulge snuggly pressing against her you fucked the purpleblooded star against that door making her sing just for you those panties of hers having fallen to the floor joining your pants and underwear that fell to your ankles.
Domini's voice bounced with your thrusts your eyes locked onto her back moving down watching the thick of her ass slap against your hips loving how her skin jiggled with each smack that dull slapping noise sounding each time you collided with her. "Yes-Yes-Yes, oh fuck me fuck me fuck-." Domini gasped out between her moans and whimpers her legs shaking you could feel her squeeze you tight those slick walls closing in around your bulge as she came her pretty purple splattering the door dripping down. "It-It's been a while-." She admitted sheepishly. "Well we'll have to fix that." You replied as you slipped out of her turning the purple to press your lips against hers once more, stepping out of your cloths leading her to the bed still shamelessly hard laying down onto the bed watching as she crawled onto it as well her hands running along your thighs right to your need, a gasp passed your lips as Domini wrapped her fingers around your bulge her skin soft her touch warm as she stroked you your head falling back against the covers when her mouth joined in watching as your bulge vanished between her plump lips her nose pressed against the small patch of hair that sat at your base.
"Holy fuck-." You wheezed, how could you forget she didn't have a gag reflex something she proved as she swallowed you down again and again. "Ah- that's it baby suck me good." You breathed your head falling back against the pillows toes curling, suck good? that she did your hands gripped onto the bedsheets you could feel that pressure building up in your pelvis so close to cumming. "I'm- I'm close Dom so close." You gasped as her mouth left your bulge. "Hold it, for me." She spoke fluttering her lashes a task that almost seemed fruitless but biting your lip you managed to hold out watching as she moved again climbing up over your body reaching down Domini took hold of you guiding you back to that slick hole which your bulge eagerly slid into. Domini slid down slow until she was settled on your hips her brows knitting together for a moment as she shifted. "You okay?." You asked hands sliding up along those soft thighs watching as she nodded. "Y-Yeah you're just- really, really deep." The words leaving her mouth in a rushed breath there was only one way to fix that and she knew it as Domini lifted herself up and slowly slid back down your bulge her head falling back with a moan hand rested on your chest as she repeated the motion.
You couldn't keep your eyes off of her as she slowly rode you, slow and sensual black hair dyed halfway up with purple falling down over her shoulders which you moved watching to get a view of her breast once more thumbing a nipple giving it a small tug got a squeak from her, her hand being placed onto your chest to push you back down onto the bed starting to bounce a little harder and faster said bed below creaking along with Domini's lyrical moans and your grunts, you couldn't take it anymore sitting up you rolled both of you over the clownette giving a startled squeak as her back it the bed a cry passing her lips as you drove it home your hips slamming into hers anything passing Domini's lips was illegible and soon be came only sounds as she grabbed for you holding on tight as you fucked her down into that bed. Finally you both met your ends with a hard slam into her you came her walls closing in tight around you throbbing her body left shaking in the aftermath a tired kiss was shared between you before settling down for the night you still inside her.

Just like Heaven
Pairings: Bucky x reader
Word Count: 1,641
Summary: Bucky beard is a beautiful distratction when he catches you rockin’ out to 80s music.
Author’s Note: This is for the HBC’s @the-ss-horniest-book-club continuation of drunk drabbles and the amazing prompt sent in below (that was literally written for me because BEARD!) and Music Era Monday! I was listening to my 80s playlist the whole time I wrote this and I still can’t stop smiling. I hope you enjoy this and it makes you smile! Thank you all for reading and much love always! ❤❤❤
Tumblr media
Warnings: Fluffy fun, lots of singing, awesome 80s music, A TRUE LOVE FOR BUCKY’S BEARD! 😁
Tumblr media
Bucky stands at your door, knocking for a second time. He can hear your very loud music and knows you most likely can’t hear him knocking.  Your singing rings out over the music and he chuckles, giving the door one more hard knock before opening it up.
“She drives me crazy; I can’t help myself…” Your body moves in rhythm to the music, your hand grasping an incredibly old wooden spoon as you belt out the lyrics. Your ponytail is swinging back and forth while your head bops and your socked feet slide across the floor. “I can’t get any rest; people say I’m obsessed.” You haven’t looked up in who knows how long, shaking your hips as you move across the kitchen.
“AHHHHHHHHHHH!” You let out a shrill scream when your back hits something hard, spinning so fast you whip Bucky with your hair and throw the spoon in his face. His very hairy face. “Oh Bucky! HOLY CRAP! I’m sorry, I didn’t hear or see you and then you were just there.” You’re yelling over the music, eyes wide.
Your focus moves back to very fluffy looking beard he has going on and you find your thoughts wandering. “Can we lower the music, doll?” Your eyes shoot back to his, your forehead creasing in confusion. “What?” Bucky just smiles and walks around you, hitting the power button on your speakers.
“I said. Can we lower the music?” he laughs. “Oh, yea, of course, thanks for shutting it, I couldn’t hear a damn thing.” Giving you a very “duh” look he holds up your wooden spoon. “Great mic! I think it might be older than me.” You stalk over and take it from his hand, “oh shut up. You mean you never sang into a spoon when you were little?”
Bucky watches your eyes flick back down to his beard. “Something on my face, doll?” Your cheeks warm and you pretend to fix your socks. “No, no. Um, anyway. Did you need me?” Bucky looks like he wants to say more but instead asks, “what were you listening to? It’s really fun!” Your whole face brightens as you grab your phone and show him your 80s playlist. “It’s all music from the 1980s and it is really fun! I’m glad you like it!”
He scrolls through your phone, stopping at ‘Take on Me.’ “There is a band with the name ‘A-ha’?” he questions, making a funny face at your phone. You take the moment to study his face again, his dark beard covering most of his cheeks, your fingers itching to touch it. “I wanna hear this one,” he says, pressing play and handing you back your phone.
Your eyes flick to his beard one last time before the synthesized piano kicks in.  Bucky smiles, tapping his foot to the music. You start singing, once again dancing around your room. Bucky takes your hand and twirls you. “Woooooo! Today's another day to find you shying away, I'll be coming for your love, okay?” You sing into your spoon much to Bucky’s amusement and delight.
He pulls you into his chest, circling one arm around your waist while his metal hand holds yours. “Oh my gosh, Buck, this is like the waltz. Not at all for the 80’s!” You laugh and throw your arms around his neck. “What am I supposed to do then, huh? You show me,” he asks before picking you up and spinning around. Your laughter rises over the music as you cling to him. “Not this either but it’s so fun!”
When he finally puts you down the next song has started, and you start to jump in happiness but quickly stumble from dizziness. “Woah, doll.” Bucky catches you in his arms, “sorry. Too many spins, huh?” You giggle and right yourself, your face now awfully close to his. Your hand inches up his chest and just as you’re about to stroke his beard you hear Steve’s voice over the AI.
“Bucky, what the hell. We were supposed to go for a run 20 minutes ago!” Bucky lets out an exasperated sigh. “All we do is run!” You laugh and go to lower the music again. “Did you need something?” Bucky’s phone buzzes and he picks it up, shouting into it, “I’m coming Steve, one sec!” He abruptly hangs up and smiles, “yeah actually. Do you have headphones I can borrow? I hate running without music and I can’t find mine anywhere.”
“Sure! I can send you my 80s playlist too, if you want, so you can give it a listen on your run?” He steals the spoon from your hand, saying, “only if I can bring this to sing.” Rolling your eyes you take his phone, setting up the playlist and handing him the headphones.
“All set! Enjoy your run. And gimme back my mic!” Holding out your hand you wait until he gives it back, running over and turning the volume back up. “Won’t you come see about me, I’ll be alone dancing, you know it baby” You give him a wave as he walks to the door, smiling the whole time. “See you later, doll.” Flipping your hair around you sing to him, “don’t you forget about me.”
With one final laugh he shuts the door and you put down your spoon. Leaning against the counter you take a long drink of water, your thoughts drifting back to how good he looks with the beard. “Shit,” you mutter, just as “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” starts to play.
Later that night you head to the common room, excited to find it empty. You plug in your phone, scrolling through your 80s playlist. You’ve been listening to it all day, loving it even more now that you shared it with Bucky. You decide on ‘Invisible Touch’ by Genesis and head to the kitchen. Since you don’t have your wooden spoon handy you grab one of Tony’s fancy spatulas, one you’re sure he’s never actually used before.
“And now it seems I’m falling, falling for her. She seems to have an invisible touch.” You whip around like Allison in The Breakfast Club, throwing your hands up. Wiggling over to the fridge you start pulling out the necessities for a sandwich. “Hey, wanna make me one while you’re at it?” You feel his presence more than hear his question, whipping around to find Bucky standing at the island.
Dancing over you lean into him, “did you say something?” He takes your phone and lowers the volume, smirking when he sees your playlist. “Invisible Touch, huh? I really like that one. The lyrics to these songs are great. I’ve been listening to your playlist nonstop today!” You squeal in happiness! “That’s awesome Bucky. I’m glad you’re enjoying it. And what did you say before?”
“Oh yea, do you mind making me a sandwich since you’re making one?” Picking up your spatula mic you dance back to the counter. “Not at all. Ham, cheese and mayo, right?” He gives you a thumbs up, turning the volume louder. ‘Hungry like the Wolf’ comes on and you give a loud whoop. “I LOVE THIS ONE!”
“Dark in the city, night is a wire,” you sing into your spatula. Bucky grabs a whisk and starts singing along, “woman, you want me, give me a sign. And catch my breathing even closer behind.” You can’t stop smiling as you sing together, the music moving through your body like the very blood in your veins.
When the song ends you finish up the sandwiches, placing Bucky’s down in front of him. “Let’s eat!” He grabs the sandwich and holds it up to his mouth but not before saying, “good, because I’m hungry like the wolf.” You almost spit out your bite at his corny line, grabbing your water to take a drink. “Wow, I’ve converted you in one day! Awesome!”
You eat while listening to Heart’s ‘These Dreams.’ You notice Bucky has some mayo on his beard. Reaching over the island you brush your thumb over the soft hair, your mouth parting at the contact. “There’s still more.” His tongue darts out to lick it off but he doesn’t get it all. “Gone?” he asks, his voice suddenly much deeper.
Shaking your head, you swipe your thumb over the spot once more, this time getting it all. You close your mouth to stop the moan that almost escapes and your thighs clench together as your mind once again races with thoughts of how good his beard would feel on your body. “Doll?” His voice pulls you from your thoughts and you sit down with a plop. ‘Crazy for You,’ comes on and Bucky’s eyes sparkle.
He rounds the island and gently picks you up off the stool, taking you in his arms and holding you close. “It’s all brand new, I’m crazy for you.” You laugh, loving that he already knows some of the lyrics. “So, am I crazy or are you a big fan of the beard?” You suck in a breath, surprised and a little embarrassed that he picked up on your (all too obvious) weakness over his facial hair.
“Soon we two are standing still in time. If you read my mind, you'll see, I’m crazy for you.” You sing the words quietly, hoping your meaning gets across. Bucky gets the message. His lips meet yours, softly at first and the light brush of his beard over your soft skin makes you moan into his mouth. ‘I'm crazy for you. Touch me once and you'll know it's true, I never wanted anyone like this. It's all brand new. You'll feel it in my…’ The lyrics fade away just as Bucky’s hand cradles the back of your neck, pulling you impossibly closer to deepen the kiss and it feels just like heaven.

Dad Tim & Uncle Rhys Part 12
Literally right after I finished writing this I saw a thing that said Ava is 18, but we’re going to pretend she’s in her younger teens because this is a fic and I’m in charge now?? Anyway, here’s a new entry into this!
“Timothy? Are you listening to me?”
Tim glanced up with the kind of guilt that announced he absolutely had not been listening to Rhys. Rhys sighed, realizing he was going to have to repeat his whole story.
“You’re not eating, either,” Rhys pointed out, deciding it’d be a waste to bother repeating the story if Tim hadn’t managed to focus the first time.
He’d invited Tim to come spend his lunch in the office. He’d needed Tim to sign some paperwork, and sometimes it was nice to just sit and talk. Despite his stunted social skills after what he’d been through, Tim could be surprisingly hilarious when he told stories.
Now, though, he just kept glancing at his son. Phoenix and Zer0 were trying to build up a structure out of playing cards together, Phoenix laughing every time it fell down onto Zer0’s lap.
“Something wrong with Phoenix?” Rhys asked.
“What? No, he’s fine,” Tim said. “Just…” He sighed. “I took him to the park last night to play. There were a few kids there already. They invited him to join a game, but he hid behind me and refused to move or speak. I told them he wasn’t feeling well enough to play right then.”
“Uh...he always gets like that around people,” Rhys said.
“I know. But he’s getting better,” Tim said, glancing at him again. “Only around adults, though. Last night made me realize Phoenix has never actually played with another kid in his life. Hell, he’s never even talked to another kid before. He grew up surrounded by adults fighting to survive. Then I get him out and he ends up surrounded by corporate adults.”
Rhys hadn’t really thought about that before. And Tim had already said he didn’t plan to have any other kids, so it’s not like Phoenix would even have a sibling to play with.
“Why not set up a playdate with someone here?” Rhys offered. “A lot of the employees have kids.”
“I dunno. Phoenix is a bit...much,” Tim said, frowning. “He’s a good kid. But he has no idea how to interact with, well, normal kids. I don’t know how to fix it. I don’t want to set up a playdate and then have other kids tell him he’s weird, or make fun of him.”
Rhys thought for a moment. “Hey, what about the vault hunters? Don’t they have a kid with them? Um, I mean, I think she’s a teenager, but still younger than the people he hangs out with here. And if she’s with them, I doubt she’ll think a little boy who knows how to use a gun will be weird.”
Tim brightened with tentative hope. “Oh, yea! They did mention something about that. You think she’d be willing to, I dunno, just play with him for a little?”
“No clue,” Rhys admitted. “But it can’t hurt to explain the situation and ask. Your son is playing with an assassin, Tim. It really, really can’t hurt to ask.”
“I’ll get in touch with them tonight,” Tim said. “I just...want him to learn how to play with other kids. That’s all. Even if she’s older than him, it’s a start.”
With that settled, he seemed a lot more at ease. Rhys decided to retell his story, pleased when Tim actually paid attention this time. But they both found their eyes slipping to Phoenix, realizing just how at ease he was playing with an adult assassin.
Definitely couldn’t hurt to ask a kid to play with him.
***
There was a knock on the door. Rhys called for them to come in without looking up from his computer.
When the door opened, he glanced over, then had to do a double take. He stood up hastily.
“Zane,” he said.
“Still rockin’ the beautiful mustache!” Zane said cheerfully. A girl stood next to him, looking like she’d rather be anywhere else. “Timothy got a hold of us last night. Where is the lad and his little lad?”
“I’m not a babysitter!” the girl said.
“Ah, hush, Ava,” Zane said. “Kid’s a fun one. Kinda cute, too, if you squint.”
“Don’t let Tim hear you say that,” Rhys said. Then, because he felt compelled to defend Phoenix, “He is a pretty cute kid. It’s just the messy hair that throws the look off. Tim should be here any minute. He had to go over some stuff with me.”
“Heard the boy’s gotten quite fond of you,” Zane said, throwing himself into the nearest chair.
“I’m still not sure how,” Rhys said. “He is a good kid, though. I’m helping him learn how to read because he thinks if he can read, he can help Tim get work done faster.”
Zane opened his mouth to reply, but the door opened. Tim came in, Phoenix in his arms and a file of papers in his hand. He paused, eyes going wide at the sight of Zane and Ava.
“Oh,” he said at last.
“Dad,” Phoenix whispered urgently. “That’s the guy who talks funny.”
Tim laughed a little. “Yea, pal, it is. His name is Zane, remember?”
“I’m Zane, and this lass here is Ava,” Zane said, gesturing to her.
She was eyeing Tim and Phoenix, trying to look disinterested. But curiosity slipped onto her face, especially as she noticed Phoenix’s eye.
“Did he- inherit that from Jack?” she said in confusion.
Tim tightened his hold on Phoenix a little. “I was given DNA injections. Guess it permanently altered me more than I guessed. Uh, right. This is Phoenix, and I’m Timothy. Thanks for coming.”
Tim set Phoenix down, but Phoenix immediately gripped his shirt, tensing up and trying to hide behind Tim’s legs. Tim nudged him back out.
“Timothy! Wanna talk to ya a minute,” Zane said, getting up. “Nothin’ serious, I promise. Let the kids get to know each other while we chat.”
Phoenix tightened his hold on Tim. Tim had to pry his hand off, ruffling his hair.
“I’ll be right back. Rhys is here with you. You’ll be fine,” Tim assured.
“Dad!” Phoenix said, but Zane pulled Tim out of the room.
“Uh...he’s not good with people,” Rhys said.
“They warned me,” Ava said. “Hey, kid, quit staring at the door. Zane isn’t going to hurt Timothy. He helped save you guys, remember?”
Phoenix didn’t speak, just backed cautiously towards Rhys, eyes on Ava now. Without everyone watching her now, she dropped the bored teenager act, sitting on the ground and looking more curious than anything.
“Zane said you had a gun when they found you,” she said. “You can shoot?”
Phoenix hugged his bear to his chest and gave a stiff nod. “Mom and dad taught me.”
To Rhys’ surprise, she grinned at him. “That’s awesome. Zane said you shot at them. You’re kinda badass, kid.”
Phoenix’s shoulders eased, just the slightest. “They had my dad. ‘Course I shot ‘em.”
“Hey, good for you,” she said. Her expression shifted to something sad, pained. “Gotta protect the people you love before you lose them.”
Phoenix inched forward, just a little. “Did someone you love die? That sucks.”
“Yea. Yea, she did,” Ava said, shaking herself a little. “So, I’m stuck here with you for a bit. What do you do for fun?”
“I…” He bit his lip, glancing at Rhys, who nodded encouragingly. “I, um, I like to look at the pictures in books.”
“Do you know how to read?” Ava asked.
“Kinda.” He was blushing a little, dropping his gaze. “I’m still learning. Boss guy and dad help me.”
Ava went over to the bookshelf in the room, looking over the titles there. “Whoa, hey! You have a book about Sirens?!”
“Oh, uh, it’s just a lot of guesswork. Interesting theories, but little facts,” Rhys said.
“So? That’s still awesome. C’mere, kid, let’s read this.” Ava pulled it from the shelf and sat down with it, gesturing Phoenix over. “Do you know anything about Sirens?”
Phoenix frowned, but his love of books had him cautiously moving closer to her to peek at the cover. “Nu-uh. I met one. She was really cool.”
“Amara, right?” Ava rolled her sleeve up, showing her Siren tattoo to Phoenix. His eyes widened and he drifted even closer to look it over. “I’m a Siren, too. My...My friend passed her powers to me when she...Well, she believed in me, and I cherish that. Looks cool, huh?”
He reached out, but caught himself in time and jerked his hand away. Ava just moved her arm closer to him, though.
“You can touch my arm,” she said, then narrowed her eyes. “But don’t be weird about it. And I’m ticklish.”
He pressed his fingers lightly to her arm, staring at the tattoos. He pulled his hand away after a moment and pointed at the book.
“Can you read it?” he asked.
“That’s the plan.” She pat the spot next to her. “Let’s learn about Sirens. Man, the stories I could tell you about Maya! Talk about a badass.”
She began to read the book to Phoenix. It was clear he didn’t understand a lot of the words in it, but every time he started to look bored or frustrated, Ava would pause in her reading to tell him a story about Maya and the use of her powers. Those sucked Phoenix right back in, and he eagerly pressed Ava for all the- often gruesome -details of Maya’s battle history.
By the time Tim and Zane reentered the room, Phoenix was squealing with laughter as Ava told him an exaggerated story about Maya juggling bandits with her powers. Tim froze in the doorway, eyes wide as he watched his son.
A wide, relieved smile broke out on Tim’s face and he slumped against the doorframe in relief. Rhys couldn’t help but smile at the sight.
Phoenix noticed him and waved. “Dad, dad! Ya gotta hear this! Ava’s friend was a funny badass!”
“Tell me about it when we get home tonight, alright? I don’t want to interrupt you guys,” Tim said, sitting at Rhys’ desk.
“M’kay, I will!” Phoenix promised before turning his excited attention back to Ava. “What’d she do next? Did she crush ‘em?”
“Much more talkative than when we met him,” Zane said, sitting next to Tim.
“He’s come a really long way,” Tim said, that smile still on his face. “God, he’s come so far. I never imagined I could leave him alone in a room with a total stranger and come back to find him laughing. And he didn’t even run for me this time.”
“He was nervous at first, but she drew him out of his shell,” Rhys said. “Uh, they’ve mostly been talking about fights and Siren abilities, but he’s having a good time.”
“She was the perfect choice to get him used to younger people without making him self conscious,” Tim said. “Thank you, Rhys. He and I would be lost without you. Hopefully they can...ya know, do normal kid stuff at some point. I’m just glad to see him so happy.”
“Have to take him to Sanctuary to hang out with Ava sometime!” Zane said. “Lass could use the company of a kid. They’ve both been through too much to be normal kids, but they still deserve childhoods.”
Tim nodded. “Yea. Thanks for bringing Ava here, Zane. Hell, thanks for getting us out of that casino. I owe you guys my life and his life.”
“Ah, pay me back with a pint later,” Zane said, clapping Tim on the back.
Rhys looked up at the kids. Phoenix had leapt to his feet, firing finger guns at Ava. Ava ducked behind the bookcase and pretended to return fire on him with her own finger guns, the two engaging in their pretend war, their laughter filling the room.
“Huh, never seen her just...play,” Zane said as he watched.
“Then it was good for both of them,” Tim said. “I’m glad.”
He was smiling so wide it looked like it hurt his face. Rhys put a hand on his shoulder and they watched the kids play, all of them relieved to see two kids who’d gone through so much in their short lives get to just have fun for once.

Part One, Part Two
Part Three:
Word Count: 2025
With the exams for UA High coming up Katsuki was training constantly. Our backyard was beginning to look like a war zone, craters littered the ground as he used his explosions to blow holes and then fill them back in, just to blast them back up again. I stepped into the backyard and smelt the familiar smell of caramel, Katsuki had to be working pretty hard if the sweet sweat smell was as strong as it is. When the sliding door to the backyard shut and I stepped out Katsuki paused and looked up at me, he was knelt over, out of breath. I walked over to him and he stood up straight, wiping some of the sweat from his forehead.
I smiled at him. “You’re still training Kacchan?”
He put his hand into a fist. “I have to be the best that I can be. I can’t afford to screw up, I have everything riding on this exam.”
“You’re going to do fine, I know you will. You’re quirk is amazing, there’s not much you can’t do Kacchan. You’ve always been one to succeed.”
He smiled a little at me and wrapped his arms around the back of my neck, pulling me into a hug. “I know, but I’ve got to push myself. How else am I going to make my queen’s life the best that it could possibly be?”
I chuckled and breathed in the sweet caramel smell once again. I knew he would make it, and he knew he would too, but he didn’t want to leave any room for error. “I’m going to see my dad today. He wants to talk to me more, wants to get to know his daughter a little more.”
Katsuki kissed the side of my head. “That’s good. How are you feeling about the whole thing?”
“I still don’t really know. I’m glad that I found him, I’m glad that he’s in my life, but it’s still just so sudden.”
“Isn’t this what you’ve always wanted tho?” He started stretching again, getting ready to start more training.
“It is, but it’s just not something I expected to have happen to me before the exam. What if it hinders me? I’m so unfocused lately. I don’t know how to snap myself out of this. I know it’s not his fault, it’s not like he knew that I was planning on taking the exam, but it still sucks. You know what I mean?”
“I know what you mean, but you know I’m going to be here to support you or pick up the pieces, whatever happens, I’m always going to be your crutch when you need it.”
I smiled weakly at him. “I know Kacchan.”
* * * * * *
I stepped into the doorway of the nearest coffee shop and looked around. I spotted the long black hair of Shouta Aizawa at a table near the window. I took a deep breath and slowly walked over to him. He waved when he saw me and smiled. I sat across from him and took in the moment. He pointed toward the cashier. “Do you want a coffee? Tea?”
“Coffee sounds fine.” I told him what I wanted and he stood, heading to the cash register to order for me. When he came back and handed me the coffee it felt almost surreal. I had grown up with a mother who seemed, at times, like she didn’t even care about me, and a father that I had never known. I had always been told that my father had never wanted anything to do with me, that he was a deadbeat, but here he was now… trying to have a relationship with me.
Shouta sat down across from me again and started to talk to me. “I know it’s probably still a little awkward for you, maybe even still completely uncomfortable for you, but I hope that’s something we can get over soon.” He smiled hopefully.
“It’s not that it’s awkward or uncomfortable, it’s just a little overwhelming for me. I’ve always wanted to know you, my whole life I’ve wanted to know who my father was. I always wanted to know where I got my quirk from.”
Shock took over his face. “Your quirk? Does that mean you got my quirk?”
“I got both you and mom’s quirk. It was a weird medical fluke. Most kids just get a combination of the two, or they get one or the other. I was lucky enough to get both of them.”
“Wow… I never realized how good it would feel to know that my daughter would have my quirk, something I could pass down. Not that you don’t already look like my daughter. We could be twins for heaven’s sake.”
I smiled thinking about it, putting the two of us next to each other you could definitely tell we were related. Same black hair, same tired eyes due to our quirks, same mannerisms. It felt so odd, but I loved every little thing I was learning about him… about my father.”
“So who are you staying with? If you don’t mind me asking anyway.”
“I’m staying with my boyfriend and his parents. They took me in when mom kicked me out, they couldn’t believe that mom had done it. Mom and his parents had known each other for a long time, we’ve been friends since we were little kids.”
Shouta leaned back in his chair, protective dad written all over his face already. “What’s your boyfriend’s name?”
“Katsuki.” I chuckled, I liked the thought of him being protective. “Katsuki Bakugou.”
He leaned forward again. “The boy that was just on the news the other day with the slime monster? The boy he had hostage?”
“Yea. That’s him.”
“He’s got an amazingly strong quirk. I haven’t seen one like that in a long time. He treats you well I hope.”
“Like a queen, trust me.”
“Good.” He leaned back again, relaxing more.
* * * * * *
The morning of the exam came faster than we thought it would. I had never seen Katsuki so nervous, yet so calm at the same time. As we walked up to the school we saw none other than Izuku Midoryia walking in front of us. I smiled at him as he turned around to greet us. “Kacchan, Y/N, good morning.”
Katsuki ignored him and continued to walk. “Get out of my way now, before I set you on fire.”
I smacked his arm and let go of his hand. “Good morning Izuku!”
Izuku still looked thrown aback by Katsuki’s comment and didn’t say anything. I waved to him and followed after Katsuki.
Katsuki wrapped his arm around my shoulder as we walked. “Why do you bother with that guy? He’s useless.”
I frowned at him. “He’s not useless Kacchan, leave him alone. If he wants to try to get into UA High then let him do it, he’s not hurting anyone.”
Katsuki huffed and looked forward again. As we made our way closer to the door kids were making comments about Katsuki and the slime monster, setting him into a bad mood, he didn’t want to be known for that. He wanted to be known for being the number one hero. We walked into the auditorium for the exam orientation portion of the day and took our seats. Izuku sat next to us and a man with blonde hair that I recognized came onto the stage.
The Pro-Hero Present Mic stood before us. “What’s up UA candidates? Thanks for tuning in to me, your school DJ. Come on and let me hear you!” He threw his hands in the air and stared at all of us.” We were all silent as we watched him. “Keeping it mellow, huh? That’s fine, I’ll skip straight to the main show. Let’s talk about how this practical exam is going to go down, okay? Are you ready!?”
Izuku was gushing next to us about Present Mic. Katsuki looked over at him and glared. “Will you shut up?” I elbowed his side.
“Like your application said, today you rockin boys and girls will be out there conducting ten minute mock battles in super hip urban settings. After I drop the mic here you’ll  head to your specified battle setting.”
Katsuki, Izuku, and I looked down at our cards we had gotten upon entry to the auditorium and looked at the letters on them.
Katsuki spoke up. “I see what they’re doing, they’re splitting us up so we can’t work with any of our friends.” Izuku had battle center B while Katsuki and I had battle center A, surprised they hadn’t noticed our address being the same and split us up. Our exam numbers were all consecutive, yet they split us from Izuku.
Katsuki looked over at Izuku. “Get your eyes off my card.” Izuku leaned back a little, stunned by his words. “Damn, I was really looking forward to crushing you.”
Izuku laughed nervously as Present Mic spoke again. “Okay, okay, let’s check out your targets.” Three different robot monsters popped up on the screen in front of us. “There are three different types of villains in every battle center. You earn points based on their level of difficulty, so you better choose wisely. Your goal in this trial is to use your quirk to earn points by shredding these villains like a mid song guitar solo! But check it, make sure you’re keeping things heroic. Attacking other examinees is a UA no-no. You dig?”
A young man in front of us stood up and interrupted. “Excuse me sir?” We all turned to him. “But I have a question.”
“Hit me.”
A spotlight opened on the young boy. “On the print out you’ve listed four types of villains, not three.” He pointed to the paper and looked very serious. “With all respect, if this is an error on official UA materials it is shameful.” He put his hand to his chest in a fist. “We are exemplary students, we expect the best from Japan’s most notable school. A mistake such as this won’t do.” He turned toward Katsuki, Izuku, and I and pointed straight at Izuku. “Additionally, you with the unkempt hair, and the girl beside him, you’ve been muttering this entire time. Stop that.”
Izuku looked worried, but I shrugged it off. What a buzz kill? Who peed in his cereal?
He continued while Izuku looked around, worried. “If you can’t take this seriously then leave. You’re distracting the rest of us.”
Katsuki started to stand up to defend my honor, but I pulled him back down to his seat.
“Alright, alright, let’s settle down. Examinee number 7111, thanks for calling in with your request.” The forth villain on our paper popped in on the screen. “The fourth villain type is worth zero points. That guys just an obstacle we’ll be throwing in your way. There’s one in every battle center. THink of it as a hurdle you should try to avoid. It’s not that it can’t be beaten, but there’s kind of no point. I recommend my listeners try to ignore it and focus on the ones topping the charts.”
The young boy bowed to him. “Thank you very much, please continue.” He sat down and the spotlight turned off.
“That’s all I’ve got for you today, I’ll sign off with a little present. It’s a sample of our school motto. As General Napoleon Bonaparte once laid down, a true hero is one who overcomes life's misfortunes. Now that’s a tasty soundbite. Are you ready to go beyond? Let’s hear a plus ultra!” In big letters on the screen behind him ‘Plus Ultra’ popped up. “Good luck, hope you practiced hitting more than just books.”
I looked over at Katsuki and we both raised a fist, nodding. “We’re in the same battle center. What do you think about working as a team?”
Katsuki had never been one to work with other people, but when it came to me, he could never say no. He smiled dastardly, “You got it my queen, let’s take down every single one of these losers and show them what we’re made of.”

5. G-Herbo featuring Juice WRLD, Chance The Rapper and Lil Uzi Vert - PTSD
“People judge people from my city, or people who go through what we go through. It’s just the way you’re brought up and different situations that you experience that change your life and make you who you are. There’s a lot of people who would come to my city and not make it. There’s certain survival skills that you learn in Chicago from just naturally adapting to your environment. People judge us and outcast us from what they see on the outside but they really don’t know what’s going on on the inside. We’re making rational decisions because what we go through forces us to make those decisions. Just the older I get, the more serious I look at it. When I was younger I had my family taking care of me, and I was just living life like a kid. But by 14-15, there’s a lot of kids in my city who are living the lives of adults at that age. Other places people don’t live like that. When I was 16 I started to see people die around me. In my city theres so little to depend on, so people take other options to survive and make a way for themselves. At a young age you start learning this,” - G-Herbo, from an interview I did with him a few years ago.

“Even friends in a frenzy became ravenous
Brothers named universal, wise, supreme became savages
It's said the common thread with our enemies
Is we was all men in need with no amenities
Couldn't sit in peace, we each hit the streets for remedies
Through the hatred accumulate a hundred arms we was centipedes
The stress of empty pantries kept us antsy
No lie, essentials essentially in a shanty
Could give scripture but that big picture is what you can't see
Every grain I spelt is what helped enhance me
Went from gun waving to saving lives
I give sight to the blind just for the 85
That's what I was in the line of scrimmage
Lost some folks of course, that growth redefined percentage
Doomed in the womb, surprised I ain't see a hanger
Start questioning affection when all you see is anger,
But now I’m in good hands, surrounded by good women, good babies, good mans,”

Traitors of Olympus IV: The Fall of the Sun
Twenty: Sadie
Distracting Gods 101
The god, Set, took a step toward us.
I had several choice words that I wanted to share with Carter’s and my old frienemy. Unfortunately, all I could do was go “MMMM!” and feel far more sympathetic to mummies than anyone ever should feel, Egyptian or otherwise. I squirmed in my wrapping but I knew it was useless.
“Oh, I do suppose you’d like your mouth back, wouldn’t you?” Set asked in that uncomfortable double voice. Set—or really, the boy that Set was possessing—smiled wickedly as his dark eyes shared a knowing look with Leo. “She’s such an amusing chatter.”
I appreciated that Leo attacked Set instead of agreeing with him. I didn’t appreciate that the demigod must have forgotten everything I told him on the flight over: Leo held a hand up and blasted a stream of fire at the god of disorder and storms that could control fire.
As the flames enveloped the leather vest and burgundy dress shirt, Set laughed. “Oh, that tickles!”
In retaliation, Set did something I wasn’t expecting. He bit his Egyptian battleaxe. A trickle of blood dripped down the boy’s chin as he spit the concoction of body fluids at the stream of flames. Gross and, I thought, ineffective.
“K’aak’t; Elel chi’bal!” the first, high-pitched voice of the boy hissed.[1]
My ears popped, like I was in Ra’s sun boat when it decided to take a nosedive off a waterfall.
The flames touching Set rippled from orange to a vibrant, whirling turquoise. The effect started to spread—well—like a wild fire, infecting Leo’s flame until the attack reversed course and overtook Leo’s hand.
Leo shrieked, his eyes widening with panic and disbelief. He dropped the sledgehammer in his other hand and slapped at his arm. “Ay! Oh—ow! Ow! Oh! Fire hot!”
That wasn’t a standard Set move. And trust me, I knew Set, down to his secret name.
I rolled my eyes. If I wasn’t in these blasted wrappings, I would have pat Leo’s back and said, “Ah, yes, fire is hot.”
But then, I remembered why Leo had come: he was fireproof. Leo’s next comment drove the point home. “This is what burning feels like!?!” he yelped.
“Nicely done, little Lapis,” Set bellowed with laughter.
Lapis must have been the name of Set’s host body. Anytime Isis took over my head, we communicated through our weird mental bond, like polite members of society. Leave it to Set to be bombastic about it.
From my memory of our homicidal enemy, he wasn’t the type to let a host talk, let alone compliment them sincerely. Uncle Amos was the most powerful magician in the world and he still struggled to control Set when they shared power.
“Dude, not cool on the weird fire,” Leo said, glaring fiercely and nursing the scorch marks on his hand. “How did you burn me? The only flames that can burn Admiral Leo are the flames of love.”
I wanted to ask Set the same question—about the flames, not about his love life—but all I could do was go “MMMM!” still and do my best attempts at the worm dance move.
Despite discovering a new weakness, I had to give Leo some credit: his eyes were scanning our surroundings like he was examining the blueprints of a car, looking for something to help us.
From what I understood of Leo’s powers, he needed to be near machinery to be properly useful. He had the tools in his belt, but there weren’t a lot of machines around. Meanwhile, as Leo had summed up from my lecture on the flight over, the desert was like a Cookie Mart of Evil for jerks like Set. If it came down to a Leo versus Set fight, Set was in his element.
“Oh.” Set waved a hand. “As I learned from some of the other gods that played with Sadie’s friends, you can become much more versatile when you intermix and play nice with others. I may not fully understand the methods for illusion and alteration, but Lapis is quite the Mayan sorceress.”
His face contorted into a scowl and his posture altered to shift his weight onto one foot. “Sorcerer, you over-inflated ball of hot air!” the boy snarled to himself.
This god-to-host-chat was weird and complicated to follow.
Leo glanced down at me for answers. As my most valuable skill had been taken away from me—my ability to be a brilliant orator—I furiously nodded towards Set, wishing Leo and I had some telepathic link to chat.
From Leo’s immediate understanding, he must have fought plenty of big-and-tough guys before. Or actually had telepathy.
“Sadie said you’re supposed to be in the Duat!” Leo protested. He understood: when in doubt, keep the arrogant megalomaniacs talking.
Lapis’ weight shifted back to two feet to indicate Set had regained control. His vocalpitch dropped. “A god of chaos ignoring the rules? Tsk, Sadie Kane.” Those darks eyes peered down at me with amusement. “I thought we were closer than that. You know there is so much fun to be had in the mortal world.”
Something seemed off. The thick rings of charcoal around the boy’s eyes and the wild wideness of them, as though startled, reminded me of someone, and not Set.
I’ve made a lot of people miffed in my life—I’m quite skilled at it actually—and I found myself wondering where I knew this young magician from. Set had said, “Long time no see.” Maybe that wasn’t just Set talking.
“What are you doing here?” Leo asked. “A god of deserts and storms in a desert without a storm, beating up tiny demigods. Sounds suspicious.”
Set belted out a boisterous laugh. “I would never miss one of Eris’s parties! Oh, does that Greek know how to party!” He twirled the Egyptian battle axe in one hand like a staff and pointed it at the unfortunate pile of rocks nearby. “I heard we’re going to execrate a goddess of day and I’ll get to feed off her dying powers. I do love a good picnic on a nice day.”
“You hid Hemera in Camel Dung Mountain?” Leo asked.
Either Leo was going to keep surprising me with how much we thought alike, or he really was telepathic. Considering how often I thought about Walt playing basketball shirtless, I was uncomfortable with the latter possibility.
Set folded his arms and pouted. “It does not look like that.”
           “It really does,” Leo countered.
           “It’s a beautiful desert feature.”
           “Of camel dung.”
Set glanced down at me again. “Really, Sadie, your friends are so rude. Let’s give you one chance to speak up for them, and if you go to cast a spell, I’ll spill sand into your lungs so fast, you won’t be able to say the word, ‘asphyxiate.’”
To my surprise, he snapped his fingers. The wrappings shrank away from my mouth. It took every milliliter of my willpower to avoid saying something about camel dung. Instead, I said, “Lapis! Set is using you. He always uses people and will take full control of their bodies at the first chance. Fight him!”
A devilish half-smile slid onto Set’s countenance. In a two-toned voice, they said, “What makes you think I can’t be a team player?”
“Um, because you’re Set, god of evil and rockin’ red reaping and white pawn-eating. Remember the whole ‘I don’t do second-in-command’ thing you said to Menshikov?” I said, though my voice seemed to be losing conviction. Funny when that happens.
           Set waved his hand.
The boy shifted his weight back onto one foot, signaling Lapis was in control. He glared with those terrifying, startled eyes. “Arrogant, rule-poppin’ Kanes think only your stupid family and initiates can come to equilibrium with a god. I mean, Holy Hun-Batz, how many times did that lie-mongering snake, Isis, tempt you to backstab the Sun God and put your brother and Horus on the throne? You don’t think she’d try to take over if she thought she could?”
I was rather offended. My initiates may have followed Ma’at and order, but we were quite a mischievous bunch and I wanted to defend our willingness to break rules, not “pop” them like Tic Tacs. Well, except Carter. [Sorry, my dear brother, you’re quite hopeless in the rule-breaking department.]
On account of Isis, I couldn’t do much to defend her. She, ehem, wasn’t always the most loyal to Ra, having once poisoned him and all that.
“See?” this time, Set spoke. “I’m rather fond of this little Pax child. Lapis occasionally lets me filet people. A much more enjoyable host than your Uncle Amos.”
Lapis’ voice resurfaced, fluidly slipping away from Set. I was quite appalled. No one could get along with the god of evil so well and not be evil themselves. “And I had real reason to be here, before that double-crossing Ajaxamamma neglected to protect Tuft Ears or Ajaxapax against Ares.” Lapis kicked at the ground in anger. A mini swirl of red sand whirled up from his foot and spiraled away in a tiny dust storm. If any ants were about, they would surely need to sound the alarm for a tornado warning.
“This is getting confusing. Can you please stop with the voice alteration and the nicknames?” Leo asked.
Lapis scowled down as though he hadn’t heard him. “I just want the Paxes to stick together and maybe kill that tree-romping hippie, Euna. Now, Tuft Ears and Ajaxapax are fucked up and my littlest brother, Dart Face, is well on his way to becoming a sociopathic baby killer.”
“Yea, you’re setting a great example for him,” Leo said. He took a small step towards my cocoon. I wondered if he had some kind of mythical blowtorch that could cut me out of here without making a roasted Sadie dog.
Lapis half-heartedly pointed his crossbow at my cocoon and said, “I wanted to meet the stupid person whose cursed, dead-boy boyfriend killed my mom, but Ms. Kane Swaddles is a bit underwhelming in person.”
To be clear, I am quite impressive, but presentation is a bit difficult when you’re rolled up like a burrito.
But, dead-boy boyfriend? That was clearly in reference to Walt and Anubis, unless there were a lot of other dead-boy boyfriends running around. [Jack wanted me to clarify that I was not talking about a bloke named Nico Di Angelo. Apparently the Greeks do have their own supply.]
           “Your mum?” I asked, baffled.
Lapis’ startled eyes fell onto me. Looking more exhausted than angry, he said, “Sarah Jacobi.”
For an instant, I didn’t understand. Lapis’ skin was chocolaty, so much that I would think him a pale African or a tanned islander. To my disgust, I realized my moment of hesitation was the same one people experienced when they saw me with my Dad and brother, because I was so pale and my brother and father were so dark. All those times people thought I couldn’t be related to them. And here I was. I had no idea what her father looked like, but, just because Sarah Jacobi’s skin was milky pale didn’t mean that wasn’t this boy’s mother.
           Shame choked me.
During the battle in the First Nome, Walt had mummified Jacobi while she was alive and dragged her into the Underworld. But Jacobi had a child? Someone had loved that schizophrenic Wicked Witch of the West enough to have a baby with her?
Jacobi would have killed me if Walt hadn’t stopped her, but knowing we’d left someone motherless, like I had been motherless, didn’t settle well in my stomach.
Lapis’ startling eyes were just like hers and I could almost hear Jacobi’s laugh, like metal scrapping through sand. Try to imagine that as a lullaby. No wonder Lapis was a bit mental.
“Yep,” Leo said, “That’s another name that means nothing to me.” He sidestepped close enough that he could have nudged me with his foot.
“Sorry,” I said, suddenly unsure of what to say.
Lapis didn’t look mad at me. Just frustrated with the situation. Although I didn’t know much about it, from what he was saying and what I had gathered from Leo and Jason, he and his siblings lost a lot in the last few months. Weirdly, I found myself feeling sorry for this crazy bloke.
           “You know, rule-poppers—“
“I am NOT a rule-popper!” I snapped, unable to take that slander any longer.
“—I don’t even care about this Hemera or any of Eris’ stupid ‘not’ plans anymore,” Lapis muttered, almost to himself. His gaze peered through me, and I had a feeling he wasn’t peeking into the Duat.
“Then maybe you could not try to kill us, Desert Dude?” Leo suggested. He was right beside me now, two fingers in his toolbelt, hopefully looking for a magical jigsaw to get me out of these stupid restraints.
Lapis’ expression went blank. He studied us.
Gods of Egypt, could something that simple have actually worked?
Then Set took back over. “I have a splendid alternative. See, Lapis did promise I’d get a chance at eating the power of a primordial goddess.” He rubbed his hands together. “Let’s have a fun little gamble. If you can survive me for five minutes and get Hemera, then—ta da!—you win. We’ll even get you a ride to the closest active portal.”
“Do we need that?” Leo asked, glanced down at me.
“Em… I may have forgotten to mention that portals have a twelve hour cool down period,” I admitted, a minor overlook. Though there must have been another portal somewhere nearby. Everyone was so obsessed with Egyptian artifacts, I never worried about there being an obelisk or pyramid in proximity, even if it was just an oddly shaped ice cream truck.
“And if we lose?” I asked.
“Why, I get to rip you limb-from-limb of course,” Set said with a good-natured laugh. “Lapis can execrate Hemera and I’ll get to feed off her power as the goddess fades to nothing.”
“So, you’ll try to dismember us either way?” Leo asked.
           “Exactly!” Set exclaimed.
Leo knelt down beside me.  The wind kicked up sand around us, like a storm was approaching. I had an uncomfortable feeling that Leo and I would not be able to stall much longer.
“You know why you Egyptian gods are just like Greek ones?” Leo asked, the Latino elf’s face crunching into a grin.
Set smirked, putting his hands on his hips. He licked his lips, like he was considering switching Leo’s and my head like the tops of canopic jars. “We both have gambling problems?”
           Leo’s grin turned smug.
“You both like to talk too much.”
By now, the wind was whipping Leo’s hair all about his eyes and kicking sand into my nostrils. I assumed Set was getting ready to obliterate us, but Leo must have known what was about to happen instead.
A tornado blasted horizontally through the broken section of the iron fence. Had I been a mortal, I might have thought it hit Set. Instead, through the swirls of dust and sand, I could see Jason Grace propelled at the end. His fist slugged Set’s face.
Set flew backwards, knocking another hole through the iron fence on the other side. A whirl of red sand followed him. The crossbow clattered away. He skidded to a stop with one knee in the sand, the other leg posed to rise. From the expression, I guessed Lapis was the one glaring at Jason’s hovering form.
Lapis wiped blood from his mouth with the back of his hand. He smirked. “You’re mine, Pretty Boy.”
The red sand around him thickened, until there was a swirling vortex of desert, debris, red sparks, and smatters of flame encasing the magician: Set’s combat avatar. Although I could barely make out the image of Lapis’s hands, he twirled the Egyptian battle axe around him.
“Go get Hemera,” Jason ordered, scowling.
The son of Jupiter didn’t have to tell us twice.
Leo scrambled to heft me up into his arms as Set’s spitting red storm thundered into Jason’s white tornado.
Thanks for reading! I hope you guys enjoyed! :D

(December 17th 2019)
Aw I’m glad you like my content anon. Sorry, this took so long to complete, but now that it’s done I hope you enjoy it!
~ ♡~
New residents, that all he remembered from what his mother had told him a few days before. The thought of new neighbors sticking in his mind, it had been awhile.
The day after they moved in he got a good look at one of the newcomers as the sweetly smiled while talking to Mr. Addison. There was something about them that just made Larry assume that they would get along, they looked delicate like they might cry if a flower’s stem broke in the wind. So because of this he subconsciously avoided them, not trying to be rude or anything just not talking to them if he could help it.
“You should try talking to them Larry,” Sal commented as he grabbed another cookie from the container you had brought over earlier, bringing it under his mask before he continued, “They’re really nice.”
Larry raised an eyebrow at the container before shaking his head, “I don’t know man.”
“You know what I’ve got to go bring this tin back then, why don’t you come with me and at least meet them before you decide that.” Sal closes the now empty tin and stands from his place on the couch.
The taller boy lets out a sigh and stands from his spot, “fine, only because I know you won’t let it go if I don’t.” Sal nods at the boy before the two make their way out of his apartment and over towards yours.
As they approached the familiar strings of Singular, while muted by the walls were immediately recognized by the metal head. “Who’s playing Sanity Falls?” he questions before the boy beside him shrugs and approaches your door, only for the music to become louder as they did so. Larry glance over at Sal, a bewildered look on his face.
Hesitantly knocking on the door the music halts with an incorrect note before shuffling is heard on the other side. “I’m sorry, I’m trying to keep it down I- Oh Hey Sal.” The door slowly creaked opened and the aforementioned (Name) stood on the other side, draped in a Sanity Falls shirt that was slightly too large for their frame.
“Hey (Name), I came to bring back your container.” Handing the container over, your eyes immediately shifted to the taller boy beside him.
Returning your gaze to the prothetic wearing boy, you offer him a smile, “Oh, Thanks!”
Larry’s bewildered look had yet to leave his face as the to beside him continued to interact, “-and this is Larry, by the way, I don’t know if you’ve met yet.”
Offering an awkward wave, Larry zoned back into the conversation, “Hi, It’s nice to meet you. I’ve heard a bit about you from Sal. Hadn’t got the chance to come say hi yet.” Sal slipped him a skeptical while you offered the boy a close eyed smile. ‘It’s all good dude don’t worry.’ slipped through your lips along with a chuckle. Silence fell over the three of you before Larry spoke up again, “So we’re you listening to Sanity Falls a minute ago?” His questioned slipped out before he even realized what he was saying.
“Oh! Yea. I was actually playing one of their songs on my bass. I’ve been trying to get it down for a while now.” You smile as a fond look crosses your face.
“No way seriously, that’s so cool!” The enthusiasm couldn’t be missed in his voice and your smile grew.
“Yea, you want to come see? I made up sheet music and everything,” you motion into your apartment with your thumb as your body begins to nearly vibrate with excitement.
“Hell yea!” Sal smiled at his friend as he watched the two of you disappear into your apartment before closing the door and heading back to his own, happy for his friend.
