About the benrey fam au, I was wondering if you have more stuff on their mother? I love your design of her and I’m curious about her story. It’s crazy that she has/had so many kids! You also spoke a bit about benrey’s species before. I assume they have a much larger lifespan than humans, so I was wondering what the age range is between the oldest and youngest of her children? Thanks for your answers and your au! It’s super interesting to me!

So like I said in my Benrey Species HC post, his alien race has the tendency to take the characteristics of different cultures and adapt/assimilate them to their own. Earth was a growing hotspot as there was always an ever adapting culture, something pretty catching to a group of beings that just loved new things.

Ben’s mom in particular really liked South Asain culture from Earth, hence the Al-Amira hijab alongside her love for cows (and the food!). Arden would often carve her little wooden statuettes that she’d decorate their home with.

And yeah they definitely do live a looooong time. With their shapeshifting abilities there’s no real concern of loosing their youth once hitting their 40’s to beyond that- (or if they wanted they could look 40 for as long as they live-really their choice)

that however doesn’t stop them from being being killed by regular things like diseases or murder. :/ regenerative abilities vary from person to person.

but to that there’s no concern of loosing the ability of having children so boom- 18 kids. With Arden being the oldest at 34 and the youngest, Riley, being 18. (Arden and Ben were a bit of a gap, then each of the following kids are like- a year apart.) not too different from how human ppl age, but they can live muuuuch longer. Moola herself was thought to be 160 something with the appearance of a 40 year old. (She stuck to the appearance of being in her 20’s for a bit tho)

she always wanted a huge family as she didn’t have any siblings herself. It’s likely she would’ve continued having kids had she not died. :(
