It’s Time To Stop: PBS Pity
I'm sick of the PBS debate and the media's use of Sesame Street as a pity device
Let's be clear about this, PBS does not and/or have not own Sesame Street Sesame Workshop owns the rights [characters and all] and the characters that media will like you to assume will be on the streets thanks to Trump (read: Elmo and Big Bird) will be fine because again, Sesame Workshop doesn't need PBS's money as they are a private organization
Not to mention that Elmo has another show under his belt, namely Furchester Hotel (a show that the media and PBS wants you to pretend that never exists)
Sesame Street (morally bankrupt shell of a show it is now) will be fine too because of merchandising, HBO and SVOD
PBS itself has nothing of value for a while and as of now, they got nothing since Downton Abbey came and went and most of the PBS affiliates (noted example: South Carolina ETV [my PBS station]) ditched britcoms (and Red Green) from reruns of NOVA and other dull programs
as for NPR, I doubt anyone listens to it since NPR is guilty of being boring as it's TV counterpart (PBS) on a related note on this matter... To the Parents reading this: There's other options for your kids for educational content besides Sesame Street On SVOD, There's shows like Tumble Leaf, Bookaboo, Mouk, Louie (Louie draw me!), Owlegories, Ask The StoryBots, Kit and Kate and Kazoops! (as noted examples) on Cable, There's shows like Hey Duggee, Furchester Hotel, Ruff-Ruff, Tweet and Dave and Sheriff Callie’s Wild West (as noted examples) Not to mention that your kids shouldn't be restricted to PBS for Kids TV Let them see other shows out there like Clangers, Kate and Mim-Mim, Wanda and The Alien, The Minimighty Kids, PAW Patrol, YaYa and Zouk, Octonauts, Toopy and Binoo, Astroblast! and many others (all it takes is the internet [VPNs and YouTube], SVOD services like Netflix and Amazon Prime and a Region Free DVD player to make the magic happen) Just because PBS has lost gov't funding doesn't mean your Kids should suffer and use them as "Pity Us" bait on social media, There's more options for them - Let them explore them to gain an open mind P.S. If you still want PBS content (read: Arthur, Nature Cat, etc), It's on Amazon Prime, Netflix and Hulu - Your business with your local PBS station is null and void now

To the Parents, The Bunny Planet Awaits
Attention Parents, Are you burned out by Disney Jr., Nick Jr and Sprout constant efforts of making your kids viewing habits a nightmare? Well, The best solution is to start a new generation of content, The Bunny Planet Generation basically, Give your kids the enjoyable content they should’ve had First off some guidelines 1. Don’t be overprotective (Let you kid have a vast imagination but there are times that you could shield your kid [when they are 2 or 7] like say porn or M-rated games) 2. Your kid needs a ideology-free childhood and given Sesame Street has been tainted with identity politics and other leftist rhetoric, It’s sadly a no go 3. No Barney and Teletubbies (Seriously, No!) This referendum also goes double to the parents of kids referred to as “Sproutlettes” whom are fed up with barrages of airings of “Caillou”, “Maya The Bee” and “Terrific Trucks” and witness good shows like Lazy Town, Boj, YaYa and Zouk, Poppy Cat, Clangers and others be yanked off the schedule If you wish to give your kids the best of entertainment/edutainment Here’s what you should do and yes, the following maybe pricey but the results are definitely worth it 1. Buy a region-free DVD/Blu-ray Player 2. Go to Amazon UK (Yes, they ship DVDs to the US) and buy DVDs of Boj and Clangers (not just the Clangers you know but the 1969 original as well) Likely FAQs
1. How Do I Get Around The GBP Currency on Amazon UK? Simple, Google has a money conversion tool that makes it easy to convert Amazon UK’s GBP price of the DVDs you seek 2. What Shows Would You Suggest As Starters For The Region Free Venture For Me and My Kids? Where to Start? Well, For ya kids there’s Bing [a show that’s WAY better than Caillou], Sooty, Mouk, Rastamouse, Pip Ahoy!, Hey Duggee, The Wombles, The Wind in the Willows (the Cosgrove-Hall series), Tilly and Friends, Bagpuss and Five Minutes More Again, While to you at first this is costly and risky I assure you the reward is worth it, The reward being a proper childhood for your kids along with this, SVOD has good kid shows on Netflix, There’s Puffin Rock and Kazoops! and on Amazon Prime Video, There’s Tumble Leaf and Bookaboo Cutting the cord and going Region Free is a double layered dose of fun if you think about it So instead of going on Sprout’s facebook page and yell at a brick wall, Do this and you’ll be happy ya did!

It needs to be said
Sprout is treating quality kids tv like it's nothing Where to start? - Astroblast! reduced to reruns after Sprout chose to do nothing about the show since Scholastic shut down Soup2Nuts after failing to sell the show internationally - Boj is recently removed from Sprout's VOD portion of the website and before being removed off the line-up, It was shamefully cropped for their SD feed and poor YaYa and Zouk, Dominique Jolin's creativity deserves better than what Sprout did to it Sprout removed the show from the schedule many months ago and to add insult to injury, It's not available on DVD or on either Amazon Prime, Netflix or even Hulu
and Don't get me started on the dismal US dubs of Clangers and Ruff-Ruff, Tweet and Dave
If anything should demand the right holders of Boj and YaYa and Zouk to take the rights back and sell them to either Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and/or Hulu [but more primarily Amazon Prime Video and/or Netflix, as they care about quality more than Hulu] for the record: I don't give a fuck that Sprout is not aimed at my "target audience" as Parents watch it too and most felt cross after the stunts aforementioned I'm saying Boj and YaYa and Zouk deserve better and it seems Sprout (owned by NBCUniversal/Comcast) doesn't care about quality and moreso what makes them money [hence why @#$%ing Caillou is still on the bloody channel even after they severed ties with the PBS Kids brand]

YaYa and Zouk is gone from Sprout's schedule :( It's time for action and the most civil way is a write in campaign Go to this page and request (in a civil and sincere way please) that they bring back YaYa and Zouk as well as demand a 2nd season The show is a guilty pleasure and i’m sure parents love the show as much as i am

I have a predicament I'm eyeing plushies of YaYa and Zouk but Me mom isn't keen on eBay (b/c of PayPal) as it's only dealer will end their sale in 12 days from now - not to mention they're only available in Canadian sites (ship only to Canada) however, Renaud-Bray does ship in the US but for some reason doesn't ship to South Carolina If ya wish to aid me here http://www.renaud-bray.com/games_product.aspx?id=1730293&def=Peluche+Yaya%2CAG092 http://www.renaud-bray.com/games_product.aspx?id=1730296&def=Peluche+Zouk%2cAG093 I would humbly appreciate it plus, i apologize if this comes off as “e-begging” but i'm kinda desperate to acquire these 2 This video will show why i want these 2 charming characters

Dominique Jolin’s creative imagination gets it’s US TV debut Too bad it’s on a channel not all cable and satellite providers carry (Sprout) This trailer about is a taste of the show Please demand Hulu and/or Netflix to pick up this show for SVOD Particularly for those that deserve an alternative for not getting the channel
