hi this is the domestic bechloe fic rec anon !! i’m sorry to hear that ppl are trashing britt. poor unfortunate souls. i would let scarlet witch take away their memories and make them suffer. (sorry i’ve been obsessed with wandavision jdkdkdk) ANYWAYS. i was looking for domestic bechloe like with beca and chloe driving to get drive through food and like beca with her hand driving with her hand on chloe’s thigh or holding hands with her. and like asking her “what do you want baby” or like in general just beca saying “baby” bc i’m a huge softie for that shit 🥺🥺
yay! so glad you saw my post, i felt so bad when it disappeared!! haven't watched wandavision, but honeslty, wouldn't be mad if that did happen ;)
first, i'll link theresa's post because she already got a bunch of good ones! not sure if you're the same anon or not, but no harm in linking them twice!
now here are a few of my faves, not sure if they're exactly what you're looking for, but they definitely have some sweet and domestic moments throughout that are so so soft and worth reading for!
never grow up (winter wonderland)

Summary: or, how beca and chloe announce to the world that they just had a baby through a series of sneaky song recs and playlists.
lucky clover
by @beca-mitchell
Summary: Beca has been remiss in informing Chloe about her new roommate, so it's a surprise for everybody involved when Chloe visits Beca in L.A..
our first one
by bubblez4u
Summary: It’s been 9 months since they returned from the USO tour. It’s been 9 months and 25 days since they officially started dating after Beca confronted Chloe about Chicago. It’s also been 9 months and 15 days since Beca moved to Los Angeles. Since they can’t spend Valentine’s Day together, Beca does everything she can to make this one special for Chloe.
pull me close (show me baby where the light is)
by dumbacapellapotatoes (Bechloetrash)
Summary: They have a thing for showers, it seems. Four pivotal moments in Beca & Chloe's relationship that just so happen to take place in the shower.
through the lens (series)
by @suituuup
Summary: It’s not something she usually does; abandoning her responsibilities overnight or leaving her comfort zone. Yet, the credit card payment has been granted and the e-mail is sitting in her inbox. Looks like she’s leaving for Paris in less then thirty-six hours, with no return ticket. She simply needs to get away from it all. Famous!Beca, Photographer!Chloe
hopefully this gives you some more options! i will also link my carrd, which i've been trying to link all my favourite fics on (all separated by genre)

My Swiftie Story - it’s about time you all get to know me ❤
It started with Fearless for me. I got the deluxe album for Christmas and the rest is history. The End
Just kidding. I was 14 when I went to the Fearless Tour as my first concert in Sydney Australia. Mum bought us a ticket, and accidentally bought some kind of VIP package lol. It just meant we got pre-show canapes and a drink and early access to merch, and we had really great seats at side stage! I bought my first Taylor Swift merch; the Fearless T-shirt, brown wrist band and concert program.

I’m 16 now and I don’t know how but I got my learner’s licence. So when I was learning to drive with Mum, Fearless was in the car radio. Every time. Mum had her favourite songs and we’d sing along going for drives that had no purpose other than to get my learning hours up. We’d pick far away cafes to go to and have tea and scones hehe.
Speak Now came out later in the year that I went to the Fearless Tour. I was in year 9 at high school. I had my first boyfriend and liked trying to make Taylor’s songs relate to my relationship. But when we broke up (when he dumped me by text – yep @taylorswift I can relate), I remember posting a status of lyrics from Perfectly Good Heart 😂
I remember being so sad I couldn’t go to the Speak Now Tour because I also really liked Hot Chelle Rae and they were Taylor’s support for the Australian leg of the tour. I don’t remember now why I couldn’t go but I was sad haha
Then RED came out when I was in my second last year of high school. Mum loved the title track and would make me play it multiple times in a row, and I would always jokingly argue because I wanted to hear the whole album. 22 is still one of my anthems! And one of my biggest regrets is not making my own music video to it for my 22nd birthday 😂
The RED tour was right when I had booked my schoolies trip with my friends (in Australia this trip is a tradition for after graduating from high school). We were in Bilinga, Queensland Australia which is near(ish) Brisbane Australia. I was so desperate to go to the RED tour I hatched a plan to spend a day or two getting to Brisbane for the show and back and continuing my schoolies holiday after seeing Taylor. But mum wouldn’t let me because nobody wanted to come with me and she wouldn’t let me go by myself. I was 17 so kinda fair enough (especially being in another state) but also, god damn! This is the tour I’m MOST upset for missing; I love the RED album. Anyway, I’ve been to every tour since RED now so 🤷♀️.
When 1989 came out I listened to it in my car driving between mine and my boyfriend’s place basically every time I visited him. This boy became my man and we’re still together, going on 7 years in April next year! 😍❤
I actually WON my 1989 tour tickets from a local radio station!! I couldn’t afford the tickets and nobody understood that every Taylor concert is a new and wonderful experience, so they would say “you’ve already seen her before” 🤦♀️
I listened to the radio everywhere I drove (on my licence by myself now btw guys yay) and at home when I was studying. The competition was “Swiftie or 50”. One afternoon I rang like a million times and I GOT THROUGH. The competition was choosing between tickets to the 1989 World Tour or going in the draw for $50,000. And as I’m sure you fellow swifties can relate, I was not being convinced on anything other than the tickets. They played all these promo snippets of things you could do with the money but I was like “no I’m still going to take the tickets” HAHA. My heart rate was through the roof but I GOT THEM AND RAN AROUND THE HOUSE SCREAMING IN EXCITEMENT!! 😁😁 I took mum with me to the tour again since a love of Taylor and her music was something we continued to share. I bought a T-shirt and the concert program again. I wore and still wear this t-shirt to death! Lol

In 2017 I moved to Melbourne on my own to pursue a degree in osteopathy. I had roommates for the first time in my life and wasn’t sure what they would think of my love for Taylor. But thankfully they embrace it and one of them came along the ride that was Reputation era. Well the release of LWYMMD and everything leading up to the album. We lost our minds (well I did) at the mv for LWYMMD when we put it on the big tv in the lounge room haha. I took my cousin Lauren to the Reputation Stadium Tour tour with me. We saw Taylor in Melbourne and Lauren travelled down and we made a girls weekend out of it. This was the first concert I dressed up for and I freaking loved it. Although we got some looks and questions on the train to the city HAHA!
We had an absolutely amazing time together, memories neither of us will forget, probably my favourite tour so far!! It was also cool to see Charli XCX together again because we saw her in Sydney one time together. Oh and we we’re old enough to have a drink or two 😉🥂

That brings me to Lover, at 23 years old and having been with my boyfriend for nearly 7 years. He’s fully aware of my love for Taylor and her music. He was visiting (we are doing this relationship long distance whilst I study in Melbourne) when Me! came out. We were driving somewhere and I got the vid up on YT and listened and watched with my phone connected by Bluetooth to the car while he drive us around. Since then he’s been learning the Taylor songs quicker and messages me when he hears it a thousand times on the radio at work lol. YNTCD shook me in the best way possible, I love every bit of it! Lover (the song) came out and touched me immediately. I can truly relate to the love it conveys and it makes me feel so so nice, I think of my boyfriend all the time, and often when listening to Taylor songs hehe. Lover might even be my favourite track on the album because of these lovey feelings it gives me, and that’s saying something because I struggle to choose favourites. I really really love(r) all of Taylor’s songs!!
Okay if you’re still here, freaking well done and I appreciate you so much! Soz it’s a bit, okay a lot, long!! If you wanna help @taylorswift possibly see this that would be pretty amazing! 💕💕💕
Love, Tara

I saw James McCartney!
And boy was he good.

I had heard James is kind of morose and shy on stage, so I was preparing myself for that, but it seems like he’s really been working on his stage presence. I think it really helped him that he had a friend on stage with him (who played some killer guitar and bass I might add)–they had some cute banter, and James came across as really very sweet and quirky when the friend got him to open up a little. He still could barely look at any of us, but he was much more comfortable than I expected him to be. At one point he turned to the audience and said “Oh, I should be talking to these people,” which I thought was funny and endearing. There were still one or two odd moments, like when he would just start playing when the other guy was clearly not quite ready, but honestly who cares–I found it funny. He’s shy and weird, and I dig it! I really hope he keeps touring with this guy, or someone else who makes him more comfortable, because he is obviously extremely talented and a joy to listen to and watch when he’s not totally freaked out.
(Video under the cut...)
To start with, the guy has an absolutely killer voice, really powerful and gorgeous. Very different from Paul’s (it’s funny, he sounds more like his father on his albums, but I really didn’t hear it live), though still with a similar kind of resonant quality that gives it that extra something. He belted every song–I would say he has more power than Paul ever had, though he doesn’t use any falsetto which is interesting, probably because he’s so 90s/grunge influenced (Nirvana, Radiohead etc.).
His guitar playing was really interesting and different from most stuff I’ve heard–he likes weird sounds and dissonance, and it works. His chords are really unexpected and I dunno, just gripping. He also likes to use big chunky words ( “unicorn” “blackberry” “coyote” to name a few) that you don’t normally hear in pop songs. I read that he didn’t have any conventional musical training, like Paul, but it seems like he knows even less than his father–in a little bout of banter his friend asked him to name the chord he was playing and he couldn’t do it! (”That’s a cool chord James. What is that? A G?” “Uh…” “A ninth of something?” “D? D7.” “They’re all D7, James.”) Which might explain why his playing is so original. He also played some nice piano, a touch bluesy and gospel-sounding.
His stuff is really raw and emotional, very intense, but not uncomfortably so. It’s almost cleansing to listen to. One song, I think it was “Peyote Coyote”, had the line “I loved you, and you died right in front of me” and I very nearly cried (probably because I was guessing it was about Linda, his mother, who I know did die right in front of him, but even without context I think it would’ve been extremely moving). He might’ve actually shed a tear during that one, but I could’ve been imagining things. I would say he has a fantastic ear for melody (thanks dad)–there are a few riffs still stuck in my head as I type–and even though I found some of his lyrics a little clunky there were really clever moments as well.
This is a snippet of “Alice” which was definitely one of my favorites, some clever lyrics and interesting sounds in this one (hopefully won’t get taken down any time soon, and apologies for the quality…):
youtube
He had a song called “Fantasy” that I really liked, which he did on the piano. I could’ve been reading into it, but it seemed like the whole song was made up of references to Paul’s stuff. “You showed me, but I don’t know how to work it out (We Can Work It Out). I’m carrying (I’m Carrying) all my problems on my shoulders (Hey Jude), but I’m finding my way back home (Two Of Us)”. Some other highlights were “Peyote Coyote”, “You & Me Individually” and “Ring a Ring o’ Roses”–the last one is especially catchy. It’s nearly impossible to avoid comparing James with Paul (as we can see by my review so far), but by his second song I was thinking “Paul who?”, and there were moments in the set I even thought his stuff surpassed James McCartney Sr.’s (gasp–though that could be because it’s obviously more modern, and it’s not overplayed) Ok sorry James, that’s the last time I mention Paul, I promise! I have more videos that I might upload later but I’m too lazy at the moment.
It’s a shame because I think the things I heard him doing live really aren’t captured as well on his albums. The albums are too produced, and someone didn’t give him enough time to get that amazing vocal belt of his going. Just him on stage with an acoustic guitar and another guy on bass or electric was perfect. That being said, I’ll still buy the album–it’s worth it, and plus I want to encourage him. Clearly his confidence is growing–yay James!
I approached him briefly afterward to ask him to sign my ticket, and he was perfectly polite, although a little standoffish. He was really good with people one on one, though–clearly something he’s more comfortable with. He told one older lady she smelled nice and asked what her perfume was, and then started talking about how he wished men’s perfume could smell as nice as women’s–totally charming and adorable. But it was definitely easy to see how quickly he went back into his shell. He wasn’t thrilled when a guy told him about seeing his parents on stage and how great they were and how in love they seemed–he basically just said “that’s great, thats’s lovely, thank you” but clearly with more than just a touch of “you don’t know my parents, dude!” Anyway. Keep on trekkin, James, I’d see you again in an instant!
