Bandai Reveals Tamagotchi Uni Secret Characters

Well much to none of our surprises, the two Tamagotchi Uni secret characters are both Simasimatchi and Yattachi! Bandai has just announced them on their social media profiles as well as updating the official Tamagotchi website (on page 3) with their official bios!

Simasimatchi - A Tamagotchi character who loves stripes so much it's crazy. He collects all sorts of striped objects. Apparently he can't stand polka dots, though…

Yattachi - A Tamagotchi character always in high spirits. Shouts "Yippee!" with both arms in the air. She'll approach anyone sad to cheer them up.

Both characters are exclusive to connection marriage only, and are not obtained following marriage at the Tama Party! The Tamagotchi community of course uncovered this many months ago.

Tamagotchi Uni 2 Secret Characters

When Bandai globally announced the Tamagotchi Uni, they announced 19 out of the 21 adult characters, and left the last 2 to our imagination, kind of. Now if you’re a true Tamagotchi fan, you probably zoomed into the gray silhouettes of these two characters and cracked them right away. If you’re not, then you’re probably wondering who they are. Well we will put our two sense in.

These surely look like ShimaShimatchi and Yattachi! We’r really excited because these are two very popular characters from the Tamagotchi Plus/Connection series!

Tamagotchi Uni Secret Characters are Available from Tama Party & Connection Marriage

Okay now this is making more sense. When Bandai globally announced the Tamagotchi Uni they only showcased 19 of the 21 adult characters, leaving us with two shilouttes of unannounced secret characters. Bandai did not provide much information about these two characters, but Tamagotchi fans know that they are both Yattachi and ShimaShimatchi.

How exactly can these two be obtained? We didn’t know at first. Are these just two characters Bandai will soon reveal and we can raise on our Tamagotchi Uni like any other adult character? Not exactly. When we asked Bandai about the two secret characters they did mention that there were two characters you could raise only from an offspring that originated from a marriage at the Tama Party, but it appears you can also get them through Tamagotchi Uni connection marriage too…

Saya-Kota on Reddit uploaded a picture of a Tamagotchi Uni promotional flyer in France, that clearly states that two secret characters are obtainable when you marry another Tamagotchi through connecting two Tamagotchi Uni’s together. Which leads us to believe that both Yattachi and ShimaShimatchi are both obtainable through the Tama Party and connection marriage.

Bandai Announces Tamagotchi Uni Lanyards

This is super exciting! We have not seen Tamagotchi lanyards outside of Japan in years, dating back to the Tamagotchi Connection series. Not only did Bandai announce the Tamagotchi Uni, but they also introduced some cute accessories, including two new lanyards. Both lanyards feature unique Tamagotchi design which is perfect for your Tamagotchi Uni device.

The two colors to choose from are Unique Black and Unique Marble. These two lanyards are stylish, and will help carry your Tamagotchi Uni around your neck. It also looks like each lanyard features a buckle to make it easy to open and close the lanyard around your neck.

Tamagotchi Uni Video Showcases Beautiful Blue Color & Winter Content

Bandai Japan has uploaded a new video to their YouTube channel featuring the new Tamagotchi Uni in blue.

The video showcases how the blue shell looks in person, and the key features of the Tamagotchi Uni. We couldn’t help but to notice that they also showoff some winter content, including a Christmas wallpaper, a Christmas tree and some cute accessories on Yattachi as he’s knitting! Can’t wait for winter content!
