ive wanted to make a nutcracker adaptation thingy for such a long time with elements from the ballet and the book but I just. like idk. every time I try to come up with concepts, I feel like I'm falling into the rabbit hole of a "dark edgy remake" or a "classic turned into horror" (like that one Pooh Bear movie). I want to go into a darker story bc turning into a wooden doll is a pretty scary concept on its own, and yk I wanna keep the whimsical elements there too, but that is kind of hard and I just don't really know how to do it just yet. I should really just get off my ass and start making something before someone else does tho probably lmao
