yessssss Werewolf Rhett! Really started as just a vibe but then Kee and I got to discussing and suddenly....plot.

Basically, the Abbotts and the Tillersons are technically one pack (don't have a name for it yet don't @ me) but they've split into the two families. The Abbotts carry the Alpha line, but of course, the Tillersons want that for themselves and the land they're on for secret reasons. So they're trying to wipe the Abbotts out.

Does that mean that the Tillersons are directly responsible for Rebecca's disappearance? Yes. Does that mean they're gonna try to make Tessa disappear once she's in the picture? Also yes. Can't have those Abbotts breeding any more than they already have.

I've tried to just make show plot + my oc and turn it into werewolves! it's been fun!

■ -  Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon

(im hoping this is the right symbol anyway) so i guess I'm gonna geek out for a second about how i think employee housing works at Jurassic Park. In the book it states it takes about 10 hours to boat from Costa Rica to Isla Nublar (though I might change that just for convenience's sake, so we're gonna say maybe about 5 hours. Cut it in half), so my guess is that most employees stay on the island for at least three-day stretches. So up by the Visitor's Center/Civilization, I headcanon that there is a pretty bland and small apartment/dormitory for employees to stay in. In my head, it's really more dormitory than an apartment. My guess is there is a cafeteria/common area on the main floor, and the dorms are just like your usual college dorm setup. Like this:

But with a private bathroom no doubt.

Now, since the vets go out into the field a lot and in the early years of JP the dinosaurs got sick often due to Living, all vets are paired up with a junior game warden to go out into the field with them. So, naturally, Jake and Ronnie are paired up. But in the system, this automatically means that Jake and Ronnie are roommates in the employee dorms. The system works well, they're professionals and they keep it professional while on the island. But Ronnie comes onto the island fresh from Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in India, she's had zero time on the ground to find a place in Costa Rica. So, when she states her plight to Jake - and after some discussion with his roommate and bff Javy - the two men offer her the third bedroom in their apartment in Puntarenas.

To sum up: Jake and Ronnie are roommates both ways. They spend three days on the island living in Employee Housing together (unless there is some emergency, then their "shift" can be extended) and then three days off the island living in an apartment in Costa Rica.

♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon

I'll try not to go so long on this answer lol but Jurassic Park Ronnie loves adventuring! She just has a way of finding fun activities everywhere she goes and dragging people along to do them with her. Snorkeling, horseback riding, parasailing, rock climbing, boat tours, white water rafting, you name it she's done it and wants to do it again wherever she is. But this time around? In Costa Rica? It's Jake that she's dragging to all these little adventures lol

Jake, on the other hand, is a foodie. And a great cook. He loves going to the market to look for ingredients and coming up with recipes on the fly.

♥ - family headcanon

Goose and Carole can be alive in this universe....as a treat. They're so proud of their kids, let me tell you. Though they do wish they could see them more. Ronnie is constantly globe-trotting, only home for Christmas every other year it seems. And Brad always has his head in the dirt of Montana or Utah, digging for dinosaurs and trying to become the next Alan Grant. Ronnie and Brad don't talk very much. Access to a phone wherever they are is always shoddy and they ran out of things to talk about a long time ago.

Jake has two sisters, both married with their own kids now. And it's just his mom left at home, his dad having skipped out on them when Jake was small.

44. Do they know first aid?

Yes! Working in the Boy's Home, she kinda has to. She knows the basic things taught in her yearly CPR/First Aid course - how to deal with overheating/heat stroke, hypothermia, and how to set a broken leg if she needs to!

45. Do they have any other survival skills?

Honestly? In like a zombie apocalypse survival scenario? I think she'd do all right. She is very much so one of those people that is good at learning things as she goes and is fairly handy. She would figure it out, especially since in that scenario she would try to save as many people as she could and feel responsible for them.

She knows how to build a fire from scratch, rope tying, and she knows a lot about homesteading which i feel is an underrated survival skill!

“The vulnerable, intelligent, brave little sister of Blue River’s Alpha. And I thought, maybe I could use her. But then! Ha-ha! But then, you made the whole thing perfect for me by being the Red Sky Alpha’s mate! It was fate that you would help me take back what’s mine. 

“Pulling that tension between the packs until it snapped. And now…I’ve brought you here. Blue River will come once they realize you’re not coming back. And Jake…I bet he can feel your distress — your fear, like a stab to the gut. He’ll  — wait. Oh-ho-ho! No! This is my lucky day, isn’t it?”

He shuffled in closer to her, stared directly into her eyes long enough to make her squirm — whimper. Then he sniffed the air around them, took in a great lungful of air before he looked back at her with a massive, nasty grin.

“The bond…Hasn’t been settled yet. I can feel it — festering inside you. You’re calling Jake here without even meaning to. Oh, this couldn’t be more perfect! Thank you, thank you!” He brought his other hand up to cup her face completely, running his fingers through her tangled hair. “I bet you’re causing him so much pain, right now. And soon, he’ll come. “Over you.”  I get that Bellmoral is a psycho, literally. But writing his dialogue was just so fun. Trying to write out what cadence I wanted him to have, because it is very specific the way he talks and I wanted that to come across well when people read it. Part of me is a little sad he's dead just cause I can't write him dialogue anymore lol

Yanna my beloved thank you!! I'm gonna do these in the Jurassic Park AU just cause they're fresh on the mind with my post this morning and also because you are my fellow dino slut and I can't help but think about it anytime I see you lol hope you enjoy!

14. Do they enjoy PDA, or are they more private with affection?

At work on the island, they keep it pretty professional, though there are some lower back touches that last a little too long and they stand awfully close to one another when they work together. And also there have been a few instances of them sneaking off for spicy activities in a closet but ya know....horndogs in every universe. But once they're off the clock they're both very touchy and grabby, not necessarily fans of kissing in public, but definitely hand-holding and waist-grabbing.

21. Do they enjoy domestic life?

OKAY SO, part of how they get together is a whole "and they were roommates" situation going on....so they love domestic life together. Especially where they're living together in Costa Rica. They love going to the market together and finding little adventures. They like hanging out their laundry to dry and watching Spanish soap operas to pass the time. And it just becomes even more special once they FINALLY get together lol

okay, as much as i love all of my top gun and outer range stuff and am neck deep in the brain rot...my favorite fic I've ever written is still my Mandlorian fic Grow Old With You, which is on my AO3.

It's a season 1 rewrite (besides like the first 2 episodes, for some reason, skipped straight to episode 3) and I really do just love it with my whole heart. Part of me wishes I could get back into it and rewrite the other seasons that we've gotten, but I know I wouldn't be able to do it justice. So, for now, it is what it is.

A Skinwalker. Nasty shapeshifting beast. It took a week to track him down and even longer to lure and trap him in that barn. Eventually, Rhett got him with the silver-loaded shotgun just as the thing was about to jump down on them — eat their hearts right out of their chests. The monster exploded in blood and guts everywhere. Not a pretty sight. But at least they were alive.

Most of the time, yes I know how a story is going to end when I start actually writing. I am a big outliner.

the plot bunny i've been carrying around the longest i actually did start writing and posting on here tbh it's my bucky barnes fic, which i've been working on since 2014 (so almost a decade....yikes). the story and the oc i made for it has changed multiple times, but the general idea has always stayed the same. and it fills me with existential dread anytime i think about it lol

6. do you have any kind of consistent writing schedule or just hoping for the best?

i just hope for the best and write whenever i can!
