like most, tachihara is confused. why were you so quiet? was it him? did he intimidate you? or was it something else?

he was curious, so he did the thing that would likely tell him exactly why you were always silent - he stalked you. whether he was escorting you somewhere after insisting it was for your safety, or it was closely behind you while you ran errands.

When he was given a confused look and more silence, he took it as a 'you can speak now' and started to ask. "Sorry, uh.. I just wanted to know why you were so quiet. You've been with the mafia for so long, but you never talk here, or anywhere for that matter.. You good, though?" Tachihara was a little bit nervous, but he didn't mind too much, he just wanted your answer. Then, he heard you speak, one of the few times he had since he met you. "I'm not sure. I just don't." And then, more silence. You turned to walk outside the doors, but Tachihara grabbed your shoulder again. "Wait! Would you wanna go out to eat with me later? At that one restaurant.. " You turned back around to smile nervously at him. "How'd you.. Y-Yeah, sure.. can you text me details? I gotta go.." Tachihara smiled and nodded, putting his hands in his pocket. That was the most he had ever heard you speak since you met! Maybe he was doing something right. Aside from stalking you to figure out your favorite place to eat, of course, but he didn't think about that. "See ya later, [Y/N]!" After Tachihara was alone, he pumped his fist up and cheered himself on quietly. Nice. He had a date!

Unfortunately, the Special Division for Powerful Abilities got wind of your existence, even though Guild tried to hide it the best it could. That's how you found the Hunting Dogs at your tail.

Now, sitting in the cell designed specially to imprison ability-users, you sighed softly.

The Hunting Dogs were trying to get you to spit out the information regarding the last of the Guild's dregs, so that they could clean it completely, and officially consider that case closed.

Sadly for them, even if you had willingly left Guild, you had something of an emotional attachment to the members, and despite hours of continuous torture, you didn't spill.

Of the Hunting Dogs, the one you liked the most was definitely Tachihara. I mean, even though all the time you two spend together was him interrogating and torturing you, you couldn't help but develop a sick liking to him, the sort that made you look forward to seeing him.

You were sure Tachihara knew about it. I mean, you did make a point to drill this fact into every single one of the Hunting Dogs except him. One of them must have brought it up to tease him.

One day, to your delightful surprise, the guards bound your hands not with the usual cuffs, but with a rope instead.

Just this slight change from general routine was enough to send your brain speeding. Today was Tachihara's turn, wasn't it? If he couldn't manipulate your cuffs, since they weren't of metal anymore, did that mean...

You smirked, and let the guards shove you into a cell. Standing in front of you was Tachihara, face grim and one hand on the sword at his waist.

"I know what you might be thinking." He said, as the guards grabbed you and rammed you into a chair. "Your cuffs aren't metal today, so you can escape. Look around you though."

You did, and noticed that the cell walls seemed to be made entirely of metal. It did nothing to douse your smirk, however. Escaping was not what you had in mind.

The guards left, locking the door from outside. You turned to look at Tachihara.

"You look beautiful today." You cooed at him, and he flushed.

"For the last time, [Last Name]," He said through gritted teeth. "Shut. The. Fuck. Up."

"Hmm, didn't you miss me?" You leaned forwards, eyes shining at him. "Because I missed you."

Tachihara shook his head, turning to let his back face you. You didn't mind, you liked the view of his ass just as much as his face. He was here was all that mattered.

He pulled out his sword, and it slowly grew into a spiral. You knew what that was for, but before he could use it, you decided to make your move.

Your ability was a really handy one. It could create thick padding of clothing out of nowhere, and make it disappear, too. It might seem slightly lame at first glance, but it was highly useful when you could create said padding in someone's airways, and then remove it later to make it look like they choked on their own spit.

Unlike that ability user from the Port Mafia, what was his name?... Right, yeah, Akutagawa Ryomen. Unlike him, your ability could not produce sharp or thin fabric. But you could clog up people's joints, tracheas, lungs, brain, whatever you wanted.

Now, however, as you gnashed at the ropes binding your hands, your ability created a protective sphere around you and Tachihara.

He yelped, whipping around to thrust his sword towards you, but before it could touch you, you had covered up the entire blade with the padding, and the sword was useless. The ropes binding your wrists fell away, torn to shreds by your teeth.

Tachihara tried to manipulate the sword into shapes that could tear through the fabric, but you were faster. Yanking the sword out of his hand, you created an opening in the sphere, and deposited the sword outside this little world of you and him.

"Fuck, damnit" He cursed, trying to use the metal parts of his belt and hat to attack you, but they suffered the very same fate as his sword.

The chair was left out, and so was all of the metal in the cell. He had virtually nothing to attack you with.

You stepped closer to him, and he tried to swing a punch at you, but you grabbed his wrist, pushed his arm back and pinned him to a cloth wall thick enough to stand with his weight pressed to it.

"Fucking let me go," Tachihara hissed, trying to struggle out of your grip. "What do you want?"

"I thought you'd know what I wanted, 'Hara," You said softly, smiling at him. "I mean, I've been so transparent with you since day one."

He frowned, trying to push you away, and you bound his hands with thick fabric.

"Come, now, don't be like this," You said, leaning over him. "I've finally gotten this chance. I've been rotting in this prison for so long, don't you think you should let me have some fun?"

Tachihara's eyes widened slightly at the implications of your words. "Fuck, guards! GUARDS!"

"Don't bother," You raised a hand to caress his face, and he flinched away. Something burnt in your chest, but you touched him anyway, knowing that with time he'd come to expect your love. "I've soundproofed the room perfectly."

"Fuck you," He was panicking, you could tell. "Whatever you do, once you get out, they're gonna have you killed. So it doesn't matter how you hurt me."

"Hurt you?" The surprise that showed on your face was genuine, and so was the hurt. "No, I'd never hurt you, baby."

You leaned forwards, so gentle in the way you were touching him that his eyes widened again, and his struggles paused.

your vision was blurry, but you could see a head of orange hair hovering above you. and even though you couldn't tell, tachihara had a worried look on his face. "i mean, it was me.. but it's fine! just chill out for a few, i'll explain later," tachihara sighed, taking your shoulders and moving you to sit up so you wouldn't pass out again.

"let me get up myself," you tried to raise your hands and slap his away, but you still couldn't move your hands, or legs for that matter.

tachihara sat you up, reaching a hand towards your face to rub your eyes for you, since you couldn't. "look, i'm sorry," now you could see clearly and look at the face in front of you. "why would you.." tachihara spoke when your voice trailed off. While TACHIHARA has trust in you, that doesn't mean he doesn't have his doubts, especially with those he doesn't like. Every time he follows you around, the presence of Yosano is just.. too much.

⋆ The hot-headed man always tried not to lose his cool when Yosano stood with you. He knew you were friends from the agency, but did she have to stand with you every second of the day? Of course not!

⋆ When he first watched you from afar, he thought Yosano being with you would only be for a day or two. No big deal, he liked that you socialized! The only problem was her. But he just had to wait it out. Patience was not always his strong suit, though.

⋆ A day or two turned into weeks, and weeks turn to months. Tachihara was still following you around, and Yosano stayed by your side. Shopping? She was there. Library? Also there. Needed your nails done? She needed to get hers done too, so why not tag along? Tachi was sick of it. You were over there spending time with Yosano happily, while he was over here aggravated.

⋆ And with you and Yosano both being in the ADA, how was he going to win you over without pulling a few strings? Being a detective, you were bound to find out what he does. And since Yosano was practically with you 95% of the time, how on earth would he pull you?

⋆ Well.. there were a few ways. He could just get rid of Yosano. That would work, right? Not suggesting that he kills Yosano, but I totally am. Obviously, killing her isn't easy. He'd have to use his ability, or maybe even get someone to kill her for him. That's a really easy way to get rid of her, but of course, that has a few downsides. The death of someone so close to you is absolutely devastating, and Tachihara knows it. He has to approach this another way.

⋆ The most likely way is to lie about her. He could always forge things and feed lies about Yosano to you through an anonymous number. That, or he could sabotage events. Ruining something she borrowed from you and returning it before she does, or stealing some of your things and placing them in her bag. After you find out about her 'stealing' your stuff, he'll straight up steal it for his own, and let you conclude that she stole it. But don't worry about getting it back, Tachihara will buy you anything you want when he wins you over.
