He's an extremely lucid yandere. He knows what hes doing is so so wrong, but he just cant stop!

He's obviously a worshipper. Have you seen the way he talks about Monomon?

He can't kidnap you at first, as he is a wanderer, but he will take any chance he can get to follow you around like a friendly puppy.

Yes, he's a worshipper, but that does not mean he's not selfish and possessive. You're a deity, sent by the heaven itself! God must be real, and it favoritizes Quirrel, as it has given him YOU!

But you're HIS deity. Everybody else is too stupid, too simple-minded to see it!

He tries to get a house, isolated from where anyone, alive or dead could find you. He's keeping his deity in a place where he is free to worship them as long as he wants. (which is literally all day)

You can get anything you want, except your freedom. Thats not what God, up in heaven, would have wanted.

Yandere Quirrel x Quiet/Stoic Reader Hcs

A/n: oh quirrel my beloved,,,also I put stoic in the title bc I focus on the reader’s silent wisdom. Don’t worry, I’ll make smth for our lovely thembos himbos and herbos soon!

WARNINGS: yandere behaviors, obsessive behaviors, hints towards smut?

Worshipper. I cannot stress this enough: WORSHIPPER. He is a bug who strives to dedicate his life to the lives of others, preferably someone he encountered on the road. Although your first interaction on the road would be pretty average, him spouting off some strange question about the place you rest and you distantly responding as thoughts consumed you, the obsession would form later on. Most likely, in Hallownest after Ghost completes their quest. (Let’s go with dream no more ending.)

The archivist would attempt to find some normalcy after finding out all his work was for naught, only to find memories of you washing up. His time in the Wastes….if Monomon had directed him out there, guiding him from kingdom to kingdom, surely your meeting must’ve meant something? The two of you couldn’t have possibly just stumbled onto each other. If there’s one thing he learned in the Wastes, it’s that every bug you meet will teach you a lesson. Be it keep your geo close, keep your nail closer, or that the stars make wonderful guides, they have something to say.

That was the thing though: he didn’t learn anything in particular about you or from you. You two had vaguely discussed the common topics, such as star maps and fighting techniques. Very little personal information was disclosed from your side. All he knew was that your nail was deadly sharp, you were a traveler, and that your next stop would most likely be Hallownest. What odd circumstances to lead the only bug that never bestowed a tip upon him to his home. Indeed, what odd circumstances.

For days, Quirrel found himself stalking the howling cliffs at the kingdom’s edge, watching for any sign that his ominous companion had finally traveled to their new home. His heart thudding at the idea of seeing those exhausted eyes again, at feeling your hand gently but forcefully moving him out the way of danger, to listen to your voice as you traced the map he had. Oh gods, when did your name start filling his stomach with lumaflies?

One night, when the bug found himself drifting off into a dreamless slumber, he felt a hand gently fix the hood that kept him warm, and heard the fire crackle as though being fed more food. He had set himself up a little camp in waiting, and what wondrous news it was that you found him dozing before some less kind creature happened upon a bountiful meal such as himself. Only by instinct did his spindly hand find yours, pulling it down and pressing a nervous kiss to it.

Despite the oddity of the kiss, and how slightly perturbed it left you, you were pleased to see a familiar face. Especially bordering on a dead empire with rumors of a disease driving those inside mad. The two of you descended down rocky cliffs, easing your way into King’s Pass and up through to Dirtmouth. Along the way Quirrel suddenly began to reveal his vast knowledge of Hallownest, with quips on areas he’d love to take you (he spoke of them almost as dates) and where he’d love to spend the rest of his life. Soon enough, his constant chatter started to crowbar information out of you, of your “home” and the things you loved doing. Every time your voice would quietly raise to signal your wish to speak, his head would snap to attention and gaze become almost awed.

Your travels took you deep into the kingdom, to a city filled with never ending rain, a place Quirrel day dreamingly called the “City of Tears”. He spoke of days when he was younger, how he hated the rain. It made you laugh, and once again he stopped. Slowing down he gazed gently at you, muttering something below his breath. With a prod and tap, he sighs and speaks louder, “I’m sorry my dear.” A sudden shock was delivered to your back, the feeling traveling up your spine and spreading through your nerves.

The sight of nothing was burned into your eyelids by the time you had awoken, the rain now deafened by the thick walls of the expensive apartment, most likely owned by some shambling corpse outside. Pillows were piled below you, blankets keeping you warm from the cool. A light weight rested on you, a blue hood peaking from under the sheets. It nuzzled closer to you, a lovesick sigh being released. Two eyes peaked up, a warm blush dusted across his cheeks. “Hi there. Im sorry I had to hurt you my dear, but know I’ll keep you safe. I live to please you. I’d do anything for you.” His voice became breathless at the end, as Quirrel pulled himself up to place his forehead against yours.

“And I mean anything.”

Totally agree with the worshipper part. Whenever he does find a place to settle down with his s/o, he can often be found simply staring at them in admiration, having to force himself to snap out of it when they mention his habit. Definitely the type to play with any of their limbs, such as tracing their palm or perhaps messing with their antennas. (If the poor thing has any, he’s going to be obsessed with them. Asking how sensitive they are, wondering what species you are and if they’re similar to his.)

Such a gentleman. Constantly opening doors and pulling out chairs, bringing anything his s/o needs directly to them. Possibly with a meek kiss to their hand. Also makes sure that even in the shell of Hallownest they have only the finest of comforts, possibly raiding the apartments in the City of Tears. After all, the dead shouldn’t be burdened with such things.

Loves to tell the tales of his wandering days. What the Wastes were like, the bugs he encountered and the towns he’d rarely find. The vast civilizations, the ruins of ones long gone. This does of course, come with the unspoken price of stories from his s/o. Will gently ask questions about their life in or before Hallownest, how they stumbled into the corpse of this great kingdom.

If they were a wanderer and a fighter (to enter the Wastes beyond with no nail was to kiss death on the lips with flourish) he’d hide his weapon. Of course a deity such as themselves would be deadly with a nail, and he’s lucid enough to know that wanderers get antsy and would do…unspeakable things to be free.

If he ever encounters Little Ghost again, he tells them of the being that saved his life, that made him realize he doesn’t need a purpose to exist happily. They made his life worth while. If only Quirrel could see the worry twisting in their empty eyes, the concern that makes them grip their nail just a bit tighter.
