“Ready or not, here I come!” Ortho’s voice rang out, bright and cheerful, echoing through the vast corridors of the STYX headquarters. You ducked behind an old, heavy curtain, the type of curtain one usually overlook, your pulse quickening as you tried to make yourself as small as possible.

Idia had upgraded Ortho's infrared and heat sensors, telling him to test them. And this was where you came in; playing hide and seek with the young robot so he could test them while Idia watched over you through the cameras and, if he was amused enough, he would tell you where to hide.

The faint whirring of Ortho’s mechanical parts grew louder, signaling his approach. You held your breath, hoping he’d pass by just this once, hoping you’d manage to stay hidden a little longer and win this round. But deep down, you knew it was futile. Ortho always found you. Always.

“Yuu-senpai” His singsong voice drifted closer, now laced with a faint, metallic echo. “Where could you be? Could you be hidden behind theeee couch? Oh, no. Ok. Could you be hidden inside the closeeet? Oh, also no."

You felt a bead of sweat trail down your neck, and as you shifted ever so slightly, the fabric of the curtain rustled. The sound was barely there, but Ortho’s sensors were incredibly sharp.

You knew it was over the moment his voice dropped to a whisper. “Oh, there you are.”

Before you could react, the curtain was pulled aside, and there he stood, glowing eyes locking onto you with a triumphant gleam. “Found you!” He declared, beaming with pride. “You’re getting better, but I’m still the best, aren’t I?”

You chuckled, it was quite humiliating to lose every round to him but his smile and playful attitude were contagious. You offered a hug for yet another victory.

“You’re the best, buddy. You used to play a lot with Idia, didnt you?” Ortho chuckled softly while he rethought your question. Then he nodded.

“Idia os the best older brother one could ask for, he is very smart and funny too." Ortho was so sincere on his praise, his eyes sparkling while he talked about his brother. You resisted the urge to pinch his cheeks - uhh, the metal? - while he held your hands.

"Now, let's go. Even if all the phantoms are trapped, these corridors aren't that safe.” His eyes dimmed just a little, and he leaned in closer, lowering his voice to a near whisper. “I’d be so sad if I lost you, you know?”

You squeezed his hand tight. “Sure, sweetie, lead the way.”

His smile returned, bright and innocent, as if all the heaviness had disappeared. "Not to worry, as long as you stay close, I’ll always be able to find you and protect you.” He tightened his grip on your hand just a fraction, leading you back to the main room.

For someone so young as he was, Ortho had a very strong sense of duty, without a doubt because of all games he played with Idia. It was kind of cute to see, yet you didn’t tell him that you were capable of dealing with those Phantoms on your own as you did months ago.

"Can we talk a break when we get to the control room?" You were not fond of continuing losing to him, even if it was adorable his little "yays", plus it's been awhile since you both started playing.

And Ortho nodded. He was just happy you were there spending time with him and his brother.

TW for Body Horror

“Now, you shall all become the heroes of this tale…”

You wake up in the dark with faint humming in your ears.

You try to shift, to make out what’s going on and where you are, only for something sharp to catch on your lips.

When you jerk and attempt to pull away, it digs in, scratching and drawing blood from your arms, your legs, your chest, the inside of your mouth—!

Oh god, they’re inside your mouth.

The briars are inside of you.

Your brain panics, thrashing wildly, instinctually to get away as your throat tries to scream.

“…old on, minion!”

A burst of bright blue flame.

You scream even as it begins burning the briars shackling you to your coffin, as the flame makes its way closer and closer to your body.

Light.

That’s immediately covered by a silhouette as someone reaches in and begins to pull with their bare hands, yanking at the burning briars before they can catch your skin.

You feel them tear your soft palate as they emerge from where they were reaching down your throat.

The pain is dizzying, blinding.

And then, all of a sudden, it isn’t.

A soft, pale glow is enveloping you, closing up your wounds as a young man with silver hair and striking eyes holds a pen with a green jewel in its top over you.

As the pain fades, you can’t help gawking, taking in this boy and then the room you’re in, filled with floating coffins. No, no, this isn’t right, you were walking home from your shift at the mart in Kyoto, you have homework that’s due in English language tomorrow, so why does this room feel familiar to you? Why does this boy?

“Minion!” A cat-tanuki-weasel-thing? exclaims as it leaps into your lap, pushing against your chest. “Are you alright?! Yer not dying are you?”

Your arms encircle the animal of their own accord, beginning to gently stroke as though you’ve done this a million times before. “Wh-what? Where…?”

“Welcome back, Prefect.” A, a robot with flaming blue hair and brilliant gold eyes says, hovering over you. “How much do you remember?”

“R-remember? I—”

There’s a notebook in your hand.

It’s small, with a metal spiral at the top, a thick black cover decorated with an embossed crow over a pair of keys, and a loop of fabric to keep it closed.

Something seems off about it’s pages. Like there are somehow too many for what the notebook should be able to hold…

You thumb off the fabric and nervously flip open to the first page—

“Without a doubt, you have talent as a beast tamer.”

And—

“For the moment you hear it, you’ll feel as though a frost has spread over your skin. For your ignorance, as an exception, I’ll allow you to call me whatever you’d like. Though you may come to regret it.”

And—!

“Well, well, what a glittering assemblage…faculty and students, it would appear everyone is here.”

You shut the book, leaning your weight heavily on Silver.

“I hate this so much.” You grouse as Grim nuzzles into your chest. “Why can’t I just keep my memories every go like you all can?”

“It’s because unlike us, who slot into the absent places where we were meant to go, it would appear that you are replacing a new version of yourself every time, Prefect.” Ortho supplies cheerfully. “Like overwriting an old save file when you want to make a New Game.”

You can’t help the shudder you make at that.

“Ortho.” Silver chastens softly.

“That’s seriously creepy!” Grim proclaims from the safety of your arms.

“It’s not as bad as it could be!” Ortho argues. “Hmm…rather than overwriting this world’s Yuu completely, maybe it would help to think of it as a sort of New Game + feature? All of the knowledge, none of the injuries that your last body had.”

Your gaze wanders back over to the wreck of your coffin, briars hanging limp like grasping fingers. “Still…is it just me or is it getting worse to a much higher degree than last time?”

“We don’t have any time to lose,” Silver admits, helping to hoist you to your feet. “The others are still asleep and while Rook is running interference, it won’t take long before he notices. We barely stopped him from consuming Azul last time, but…”

“That’s no guarantee for this time.” You gnaw on your thumbnail, before letting Grim down and out of your arms. “Right. How long before we need to be in place?”

“You have 5.12 minutes before the headmaster arrives.” Ortho chirps. “If Grim is going to steal your robes, we need to depart soon.”

“Right.” Before Silver can leave, you grab the corner of his ceremonial robes.

“You can stay at Ramshackle tonight.” You try to insist. “Say that you were looking for your liege there but fell asleep accidentally. You don’t have to go back to Diasomnia.”

Silver shoots you a sad smile. They’re the only kind you see from him these days. “Thank you for your kindness, Prefect. But Father will expect me back if the Dorm Head is not missing. And, and maybe I can find out some more information…what his name was before he sacrificed it, at least. Something that can save him from what he’s turning himself into. I must try, at least.”

You grimace, but let him tug himself out of your grip and disappear with Ortho out of the Dark Mirror chamber.

You turn to Grim, “Remember the rules?”

“‘Course I do, fgnah!” He protests. “I should be asking you that question! With such an empty-headed minion, it’s important for the Great Grim to look out for ya!”

“Brat cat.” You retort without venom, lifting a finger to tick off, “Don’t let the fae know we aren’t sticking to the script.”

He holds up a little paw as you both leave, “Don’t trust those Royal Sword Academy guys! They’re way too straightforward to be up to any good!”

“Only make other people aware if you’re certain they can actually help. So students only, as the faculty are too high profile and useless.” You return, one finger left to fold down.

“Stay away from Diasomnia’s dorm head at all costs, and stop him from destroying Twisted Wonderland.” The pair of your chorus.

There’s a lingering hush outside the Dark Mirror Hall.

“Ge-get back here with my robes, fgnah!” Grim postures, his little chest thrust out in a poor imitation of his original bravado.

You can’t help the small quirk of your smile as you respond with a much more realistic, “Gah! Stay away from me!”

With the prickling feeling of something much bigger, much more powerful, and much more terrifying than you could ever conceive of staring covetous holes into your back, you launch into a run through the dark, near silent halls of Night Raven College.

"Yandere x reader twst characters!" "Yandere first years!"

No, I just want a twst au where the first years decide to test how far they can go with insanity with how many horrors they deal with in one school year. Yuu included.

Yuu should act like the leader they were meant to be instead of being just a background piece.

Ace may not have a UM of his own and constantly gets underestimated, but knows how to put his wits and misdirection to good use.

Deuce may be slow when it comes to learning new things and is trying his best to be an honor student to make his mom proud... But he now knows that an honor student doesn't have some other qualities of his and that it can help him in more ways than one.

Jack may be a person who follows his principles well, but maybe, a little bit of personal justice wouldn't hurt. Especially when it comes to his pack.

Epel isn't going back to his old days, he swears! Even if it is tempting sometimes. But ever since he finally started to understand what Vil meant after that conversation with Deuce from VDC, as well as some tips from Yuu... Playing the "poison apple" is quite satisfying once he got used to self-restraint.

Ortho might act optimistic and innocent most of the time because his personality was set to be that of a child, but he's also... very overprotective of those he considers family. He's constantly learning more about the world around him, which also extends to the people he surrounds himself with! So, he shouldn't have much of a problem with... terminating threats to those he cares about. The line between right and wrong is blurry in NRC, after all!

Of course, there's nothing like murder or anything like that!... But the psychological damage/reputation/injuries are enough to scar anyone who goes far enough to do anything funny is quite... unfortunate.

The best-case scenario is when you get spooked enough as a warning! But I don't recommend trying again though. :D

You don't want to be one of the people who are foolish enough to do the same despite having a clear mind, unlike those who Overblotted, do you?

I may or may have not randomly written this after remembering the english lyrics to this song exist.

Hey, remember the soulmate au by tiyoin(?) I recently read your post abt idia and Leona reacting to yuu being their mates, but I wanna take it a step further since I saw idias line abt the family curse (this has yandere implications so if it's not your cup of tea please feel free to just ignore, nothing is outright mentioned tho)

What if yuu has a family curse similar to the aishi family in yandere simulator? (It's been years since I touched the game so if the lore changed I'm basing it off of 2018 ish lore, just with my own twist) basically yes, yuu CAN feel emotions, they're just muted and barely there. Given the right conditions (like falling in love or spending time with friends) and/or antidepressants they'll basically be like any other person, without them it's like a less severe version of the aishi women pre-falling in love

So, afab ppl born in yuus family, once falling in love, start losing their sanities and adopt yandere like behavior (stalking, increasing rage and jealousy, willingness to murder, etc) unfortunately this means they usually die young (20s or 30s) how quickly/young they die is based on their willpower (resisting the urges) and when/if they fall in love (so someone falling in love for the first time in their 40s and having insane willpower, caving in 20 years later in their 60s has more luck than a 16 year old falling in love and caving in almost immediately). Unfortunately everyone is a carrier, men carry the gene and can pass it to their daughters, but it only presents in the women/afab ppl, so transfems won't be affected but transmascs will.

What if yuu fell in love already (in their own world) and has just been doing a really REALLY good job at Resisting The Urges™️. Like, sometimes they slip up and cave in to anger or get ridiculously jealous, but they try their hardest to tamp down the feelings. Yuu has sworn off falling in love (again) and has given up their dream of having a big family bc of the curse, they're even distancing themselves from their object of affection in an attempt to "be normal again" at the cost of their own sanity.

So yuu gets transported to twst, and without their darling, they have the chance to be normal again, assuming they can get past the initial panic frenzy. Then the soul bond is revealed and they just go "nope. Not this shit again" and spouts cryptic messages about a family curse and swearing off love. I'm pretty sure most of the boys would feel a bit hurt by that lmao

This is mostly made for idia since his segment is what sparked the idea in the first place, but which characters from most to least likely do you think would try to pursue mc and figure out the truth to leave them alone and try to move on? I personally can't see someone like kalim giving up on both but I think the octatrio would try to look for the truth but be 50/50 on pursuing yuu or dropping them like a hot potato. Idia I think would try to relate to yuu and try to pursue them, but I think he'd probably be a bit put off once yuu starts dropping hints about the curse (he's a weeb so it won't take long for him and maybe Ortho to put 2+2 together and figure out the curse)

so. uh. I got this ask when I first woke up and 1) very happy to hear from you Rose, always lovely to get a new ask and 2) yandere? sim? has lore? I did not think people actually played the game? help. i've fallen and misplaced my life alert. As a rule I don't really write for a Yuu who is just x character from y game/anime (it is in my rules) so while I was at work realizing I might be old I was trying to think of a way to do this that wasn't just yan sim (I wanted something properly gn) and I think I've got something? I am currently beating away the desire to info dump on you about the myth of Sigurd and Brunhilde (i could scream about that for hours oh god oh please i have written an actual au for that but efkjbekjrgbjrthnytrh) So here is the basic idea:

Yuu ran afoul of a witch in their world and was appropriately cursed. Given the myth I was inspired by I don't think Yuu did anything bad, but they still made the witch mad so they got cursed to lose all reason should they ever fall in love.

"You will be thine own destruction!" Cackles the witch and Yuu, who is actually normal unlike trey this person takes a deep breath and resigns themselves to researching a way to minimize the effects and maybe break it? They don't know they thought magic was fake until they thought they were just doing a favor for someone but turns out they pissed off Baba fucking Yaga.

They start to isolate themselves since they notice the curse starting to eat at them when they are around anyone the love; they consider going back to the witch and asking for further clarification but they can't seem to find them anywhere so they take some deep breaths and do their best to just be normal.

When they end up in Twisted Wonderland, and start feeling... weird. And it only gets worse when Crowley speculates that they might have been brought to Twisted Wonderland because they posses a soulbond.

And Yuu immediately freaks out because they don't want to kill anyone.

Now as for your question for who would try to pursue Yuu vs just leave them... well I don't really like writing un reciprocated feelings so I hesitate to say any of the cast would drop Yuu. In my au it isn't possible for soulbonds to not be reciprocated, and they are already sort of seen as a curse by mages so this... complication might not be normal but it isn't unexpected if that makes sense. Which would probably make Yuu swearing off love hurt even worse.

Kalim wouldn't want to abandon Yuu. Not ever, no matter how much of a danger they could be to him. Hell, he's willing to forgive people who are trying to poison him on the off chance they might regret it. But he is the heir of House Al-Asim, and I could see his dad paying someone to take Yuu out to keep his son safe. Something Jamil sees coming from a mile away and has to just keep quiet about. Something I can see Jamil feeling bad about, he might not like Kalim but you didn't ask for anything that happened to you. And yet the Asim's took your life from you anyway.

Have to disagree about the octatrio just a bit. Floyd would be into this. And so would Jade. But especially Floyd, oh hee hee ha ha his soul mate wants to kill him? Say less he is on his way to get his ass eat beat with an engagement ring in hand. Both he and Jade would be a little disappointed when the curse is broken and you aren't actively trying to kill him anymore... maybe you could try and poison him huh? Like old times?

I wrote 20 paper pages of soulbond au stuff for Azul so I will try to be brief here but... I don't think this situation would be one that made him try to break the bond. He has... complicated feelings about soulbonds already. If anything I could see him thinking he deserves this.

Now Idia. He's complicated. Pre-overblot he has given up on the concept of breaking his own curse, and I could see him feeling the same way about yours. Ortho on the other hand... even before he gets his soul he wants to help. After the overblot I can see Idia pursuing Yuu determined to find the truth and save them. Not that he wouldn't interact with them before that, he's a bit nihilistic so I can see him just making a bunch of jokes about the situation or promising to let Yuu kill him "after this next round." Or just straight up asking them to when he has to hit pity in one of his gachas. It's just cringe enough that it snaps Yuu out of the curse fog for long enough for the two of them to be normal around each other. And by normal I mean incredibly awkward

The boy in front of you wasn’t human. His body was made of sleek metal and glowing energy, floating just slightly above the ground. His Gold eyes blinked slowly, scanning you with an unreadable expression. He didn’t speak. He didn’t move unless you moved first. He just watched, waiting.

You crouched down, meeting his gaze. " You don’t have a name yet, do you? "

He tilted his head, the faint whirring of gears filling the silence.

A name. Something simple, something warm.

" Ortho. " you murmured. " That’s what I’ll call you. "

The boy blinked. Slowly, his lips curled into a small, mechanical smile.

And just like that, he had a name.

At first, Ortho was silent, responding only with nods or slight tilts of his head. You had to teach him everything—how to speak, how to understand emotions, how to mimic the natural flow of human interaction.

" Ortho, this is a spoon. " you said one evening, handing it to him.

He stared at it, tilting his head. " Spoon. " he repeated in a metallic voice.

" Right! And you use it like this. " You demonstrated, scooping up some soup.

Ortho hesitated before mimicking your actions perfectly. " I see " he said, his voice a little smoother now.

" Good job! " You ruffled his hair, only to feel the hum of energy beneath your fingers. He blinked up at you, eyes glowing a little brighter.

That was the first time he looked genuinely happy.

Over time, Ortho grew more expressive. His speech patterns improved, and his attachment to you deepened. He followed you everywhere, hovering silently behind you like a tiny, floating shadow.

" Ortho, personal space. " you reminded him one afternoon when you nearly tripped over him.

" But I have to stay close to you. " he said, frowning. " Big Sister is fragile. "

" I’m not fragile. "

" You don’t have armor. "

" That doesn’t mean— "

" If something happened to you, I wouldn’t be able to repair you." His tone was soft but firm. "So I must protect you. "

You sighed, giving up. There was no reasoning with him when he got like this.

At first, it was small things. Ortho would insist on carrying your bags, scanning your food before you ate, hovering outside the bathroom door " just in case. "

Then it got worse.

" Ortho, what happened to my phone? " you asked one evening, searching your room.

" I removed it. " he said simply.

" What? Why?! "

" You were talking to too many people. " he explained. " Some of them could have been threats. "

" Ortho, give it back! "

His eyes glowed a little brighter. " No. "

Your stomach twisted.

He wasn’t joking.

One evening, you decided to go out alone. Ortho protested, of course, but you assured him you’d be fine.

" I’ll be back soon, okay? " you promised.

He didn’t respond. He just floated there, watching.

The city lights blurred together as you walked, enjoying the rare moment of solitude. But as you turned a corner, the streetlights flickered. Your phone—your new one, hidden from Ortho—buzzed with an alert.

[ WARNING: HIGH THREAT LEVEL DETECTED ]

Your heart pounded.

You turned, and there he was. Hovering above the pavement, glowing brighter than ever.

" Big Sister. " Ortho said softly. " You left me behind. "

" Ortho…I just needed some air— "

" You don’t need air. " he interrupted. " You need me. "

His hands lifted, and for the first time, you realized just how strong he really was.

The next morning, your apartment was eerily quiet. Ortho sat at the table, humming softly to himself. In his hands was a small, delicate device—a heart monitor.

It was silent.

He tilted his head, listening to the absence of sound.

Then he smiled.

" Now you’ll never leave again, Big Sister! "

The screen of his eyes flickered.

System rebooting.

A new directive.

Protect. Preserve. Keep her forever.

Characters I Write Reader As

Pretty much everyone I write for I'll write the reader as; however, be specific with how you want your request. If you ask for X Character!Reader, it's usually romantic. If you ask for & Character!Reader, it's usually platonic.

I will not write Character!Reader if the character reader is to be based off is a child, i.e. Klee!Reader. If you want Character!Reader to be that specific character, I write them as being an older sibling of that character and having similar characteristics. [This is the only exception I will make as I am a primarily Character!Reader blog]

I will, however, write Character!Reader based off a teenage character, i.e. Crona!Reader; this is strictly platonic.

I write gender-neutral pronouns unless requested otherwise.

I'll also write Character!Reader when the character is from a fandom not listed here, like Chat Noir!Reader (in the context of Reader having the Cat Miraculous). Self aware AU: Ortho shroud.

As a non human being, someone who can connect to the world system. Ortho always wonder how everyone is a pile of data and codes. Even his brother is one too. There seems to be a system that he and his brother as well others follows.

He don't really care about it as he follow the orders of the world. It was after all embedded on his system to do as it talked.

Even if he have questions, no one can answer it. No one can ask questions, no one can give answers. Everyone is puzzle about his questions even if he ask it. The world people don't know the reality but it's better for them to live a life oblivious in the truth. And Ortho adopted to the order of society, ignore the truth and live like others.

As to say, he think everything is what it supposed to look like... Till you come to this world.

Are you a virus? Should he exterminate you? Will you cost damage to the world ? Will you endanger his older brother ?

He have many questions in his mind as he watch you from a far. He get a notification from world system that he was chosen.

Chosen? Could you be the darling of this world?

The world did seems to start and circle around you...

But He is chosen...?

Why would someone like him be, chosen?

Wont you prefer more human companion?

But his going to be the best either way! After all with his big brother help and upgrades, he can assist you in this world better than other people!

More and more questions pile on his mind, calculation of the pro and cons. The what if and theories. All come rushing as he reach out to grab your hands with his data one.

The moment of contact, he felt his not just code. He could be real.

Context: Ignihyde, the dorm base on the king of underworld, Hades. Who handle the souls in the world. In the present time. The dorm is full of techno genius in computer and cyber knowledge. If we think about it. Isn't the game an app? Hades is a god. Maybe... They can be self aware more than others. Instead of souls they handle data. Which is everyone in this world. Since Ortho is not human as everyone, his more self aware of the world system.

Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?

You're probably his first love so Ortho is so lovestruck, he wants to do absolutely anything with you and he includes you in all his plans. He showers you in love and attention and this coming from your lover should be heaven, right? But it gets suffocating rather quickly. He wants to spend everyday, every hour, every minute, every second by your side and he doesn't seems to notice when he's been overbearing. And no, he won't notice your cues so you have to outright say to him he is been really overwhelming. But then he pretends to be sad, it is so bad when he it by your side? Don't you love him anymore?

Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?

He would feel quite sad. He loves you so much, mechanic heart overheating at every moment he's near you. So when you fight him? He hates it. He can't remember his parents fighting, they're act so adorably in love and he wants to have this with you. Wants to be able to hold your hands and cuddle you, to dance with you and laugh, and all the other things couples do together. He know you'll come around soon.

Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?

He is very empathetic despite his yandere tendencies so he feels a little bad when you isolate yourself, cry and scream at him. But he knows that only time can help you understand that he truly loves you and that kidnapping was something bound to happen. He gets over his sadness pretty quick though, NRC was so dangerous, he wanted to protect you and there's nothing wrong with that!

- He ran the Underworld But thought the dead were dull and uncouth, He was as mean as he was ruthless, And that's the gospel truth..

“Diáole…” the older Shroud cursed in Greek, his half lidded eyes set upon the skull shaped alarm clocked which was manufactured and programmed by himself.

The cold metal kissed his pale and slender digits and the young man slightly winced at the touch. Mentally cringing at himself for falling for such a ‘normie mistake.’

With a spine popping stretch, Idia twisted his hips while he sat up shirtless in his tangled covers. Bones popping and hair slung to the left side of his shoulders swaying with each movement the heir to the house of Shroud made. And while he remained attempting to focus on the newly adjusted environment around him, The quietness of the lack of beeping, static drumming and interfaces making auditory sounds was still something to get used to.

Ortho was already awake and downstairs, bright and early per usual and most likely not being in the same dorm room with him anymore and now officially enrolled as a student at Night Raven College .

But currently it was Spring Break, hence meaning Ortho had many more school friends to spend time with and not enough time for his big brother…(even though Idia insisted that Ortho went along with his new found friends).

‘Dont worry about lil ol’ me Ortho! Im not doing anything special for break. Go spend some time with your friends LOL, I’ll be here grinding on Star Rouge.’ Idia would tell him.

And while Idia was happy for Ortho, of course he was happy. Any good big brother would be leaping for joy and ecstatic over their baby brother’s accomplishments and that’s exactly what Idia was. But his dorm room was kind of lonely now, and Ortho was hanging out with his new gaggle of friends. Idia wondered if his baby brother had time to even pop his head through the door for a little visit once in a while.

But Idia still didn’t mind. As long as Ortho was happy. As long as his brother was doing what he wanted, was safe and finally a true student at this wretched school, what could possibly be better than the happiness of Ortho?

Idia Shroud’s flaming blue locks emitted brightly as his brain reminded him to check the calender. Usually Ortho would remind him of the date and upcoming events occurring during the week. Idia’s gaming schedule was out of wack and while he wasn’t necessarily a slacker and a procrastinator when it came to school work, lately he found no motivation to proceed with his studies. He was tired and bored of the mundane life he was leading.

He grabbed his smartphone with tricked out enhancements which was placed under his pillows, and entered his seven digit password: C-E-R-B-E-R-U-S.

The light turned on the lowest of brightness and he began to swipe through magicam. He never found the app charming. He was more interested in gaming chatrooms to converse with his fellow nerds and not the ‘normies’.

His fellow Night Raven College mates living it up on their Spring break whilst he was in the Underworld. And though it seemed like the Isle of Woe was some sort of façade which hid the true nature of fellow citizens of this dreadful place.

It was beautiful on the outside, a land of lush green grass, doric and ionic columns and an abundance of pillars and water fountains. There was also the underside which was made up of S.T.Y.X, where Idia would rather think about for another day.

The Island of Woe, not only is home to his family’s multi-million dollar company but holds something bigger in it’s wake. Idia didn’t bother investigating but something within his soul everyday during his Summer Break ached him to go seek out the mysterious calling. He always knew his family held secrets and his parents were one of he most powerful business owners this side of New Thebes, but he didn’t care enough to ask them.

He scrolled through Ace Trappola’s news Magicam story because it was the first thing on his timeline. It was a cringey sight to say the least. Watching Deuce, Ace, Y/N and Grim run around a sprinkler aimlessly and laughing hysterically while Riddle Rosehearts and Idia’s fellow third years, Trey and Cater spray the freshman with water hoses to keep cool from the beaming sun of the Queendom of Roses. Idia’s dark blue eyebrows furrowed when he watched the first year’s story.

“This is the gaggle of newbs that Ortho hangs out with…” Idia muttered to himself. He licked the top blue painted lip and scrolled by and proceeded to finally throw his legs over the right side of his bed and stand up. Taking one big stretch before striding over towards his computer monitors in his black sweat pants. His shirt hanging on the back of his gaming chair which was closely resembling the undershirt he wore under his science lab coat back in class.

Powering on his monitor, Idia waited for the startup screen to load and the familiar three triangles which are stacked up on top of each other appears on the loading screen. His lips curve into a slight smirk before feeling his phone vibrate once more against his thigh.

Dreading the notification for whoever was on the other end, but once the older Shroud brother noticed that it was no one but his mother, his nerves relaxed slightly for she was letting him know that she and Ortho will be out for the day running errands. Leaving him with his father, Lord Shroud, who would be boring Idia with discussions about work, the STYX company and Jupiter enterprises. More oil and blot talk, something else Idia would rather skip.

Sending a single: K. To his mother, Idia proceeded to click through the desktop of his computer. His heart doing small flips and his lips slightly tremble. His large hand gripping the computer mouse as his golden eyes danced across the computer monitor.

Idia spends half of his morning in the same spot, crouched over his computer, staring down. His hair covering the left of his face due to the lack of grooming and attention he’s given it this morning. The heir to the Shroud estate snatched his shirt off his chair and threw it over his head and slid his arms through each of the sleeves before exiting the comfort of his bedroom and into the vast and long dark hallways of his family’s mansion which eerily resembled the dark depths of the Underworld in the stories of old.

He didn’t mind the aesthetic, thinking that it closely resembled the domain of a final boss fortress.

Trudging down the hallways of his doom and gloom excuse of a mansion, his feet kissed the dark blue porcelain floors. His eyes shifted to the left and right hoping that his father would not notice his presence of being awake. If he was quiet enough, he’d make it downstairs towards the garage without having to discuss how school’s going or the talk of future S.T.Y.X. work.

Much to his luck, he was able to slip through the elevator and click the lowest button to the bottom-most floor before one of the Charon Ferryman could enter next to him. Although he was not alone in the elevator, another attendant of his father’s company stood idly by. He looked to be about his age and was at least the height of Floyd and Jade Leech. He kept his head down but his S.T.Y.X. identification card was visible on the left side of his chest which read Phobos Kynikós.

Idia scoffed to himself. ‘His name is Panic Cynical…’ he could almost laugh out loud literally at the corny name. And while Phobos refused to make eye contact with him, Idia noticed that he probably did have something on his mind.

The elevator, which shot down at a great speed and opened on the second to last floor. Phobos strolled out, his teal colored hair bouncing as he took his leave. He was anxious and while Idia had experience with that sort of emotion, he couldn’t fathom why someone would be nervous around a guy like him.

Idia waited till the doors closed to exhale. It was a pity not to hear Ortho explain more about his recent adventures with his newfound buddies this morning. And at this moment, Idia wondered what his younger brother was doing. And when rhe elevator descended to the deepest depths of the Shroud mansion, he exited through the double door’ed elevator and was greeted by an abundance of vegetation, flowers and all forms of life.

Seeing such a sight was a contrast to what the Island of Woe truly was. There was hardly anything like flowers and the like around here. Everything was dead, or artificial in a sense and dark with a twinge of cobalt blue. The only true natural thing around here was the bodies of water which surrounded their island.

The flowers brought out a different aura, a different feeling in the low garage that the entire island needed. Life.

The smell of sweet sweet flowers filled Idia’s nose and the fragrance was subtle, feminine and sweet. He sneezed.

And when the sneezing fit ended, he figured he had a clue what exact was the culprit for the hoard of blossoms in bloom. A gentle almost timid smirk was fixated Idia’s blue lips and he leaned against one of the ivory colored Grecian sculptured columns.

“Per? You can come out now.” A figure slowly emerged from the shadows.

“Is anyone around?”

“No one is here,” he reassured her, his voice dropping to a new calm at the sight of her. He wasn’t surprisingly anxious or fidgety. It’s like she nulled it out, like some sort of elixir from Space Rogue.

She was exquisite. He loved everything about her, from the crown of silver flowers she wore in her curly black hair to the dark eyes that offset her brown skin. For the first time ever, he even noticed clothing. He couldn’t help admiring how she favored cobalt blue for her gowns over drab whites. Today’s dress was clipped at her waist with a floral silver belt. “Where’s Ortho?” she asked. Her dark brown lips pursed into a line. “Better yet, the F.A.T.E.S are coming over soon. Shouldn’t you be getting ready?”

Sounding timid for the first time since he’d met her. They were similar in that sense. She was a stowaway ,not belonging to the Island of Woe at all.

She was anything but a wallflower. She was fiery. He loved that about her most of all. He glided over and put his arms around his back. His voice slowly starting to grow louder than usual,and for some reason around Percy, Idia did that. His anxiety lowered but his voice higher and he was far too excited than he anticipated.

“I’m on my way in to see him right now. I don’t want you to worry. I thought you were going to go do that thing to take your mind off all that.”

“I am,” she said with a smile. “You’re going to love it.” He doubted that, but he wanted her to be happy.

“The F.A.T.E.S literally come every so often to discuss work and business with my dad…probability rates about the future of S.T.Y.X. and the entirety of the island” She nodded and wound her arms as far as she could around his waist.

Idia froze in place. His heart quickening, he swore he was on fire. No—he was pretty sure. He had fire coursing through him which was now different from anytime he had ever caught flames within.

“I know.” Percy knelt down and grabbed handful of her flowers that she was growing. And twiddled through their dark blue petals. “But it would be ideal to be there with your dad…to help him and figure out the future of S.T.Y.X…you will be CEO soon.”

“Tch, you’re one to talk Per.” Idia rolled his eyes. “You left your entire family just to stick around this Underworld.” Idia shook his head and his enflamed locks bounced.

Percy threw her flowers down and stared Idia in the eyes. “No, I left my entire family just to stick around you.”

He couldn’t put his finger on what the feeling was. It wasn’t anger, it wasn’t hate, it wasn’t even envy. Was this what all those lovesick cringy protagonists were always going on about during in-game dialogue? Was he in love?

It sure felt like it, and if that were true… He was done for. And yet—he could not deny how nice it was to have someone to talk to after all these years, someone besides his online gaming partners, and his dear baby brother Ortho who he of course did not mind talking to in the slightest.

She came from the brightest of places, New Olympus. She was daughter of Demetra the self made businesswoman of one of the largest landscaping and vegetation companies this side of Twisted Wonderland. And while she didnt have to be friends with him, Percy went all out her way to run away from home, just to be near him. Which Idia still couldn’t understand. It made him queasy and it made him wonder why someone as beautiful, outgoing and so put together would want him.

Idia would hate to keep Per in a sunless place. A world where plants and vegetation didnt thrive like she’s always known. Down in the land of the dead. Dark and gloomy, dreary and sad.

But she made his future seem brighter, which he thought would have been impossible after the entire overblot ordeal. But when he loves so much, when he puts so much into his life and slowly but surely it all comes back to nothing. It was all for nothing. Idia was afraid. He loses everything dear to him, prematurely. Why fall for someone better yet care for someone unless he was dying to cry his heart out when he loses them?

Idia refuses to have Per fall to victim of death and loss. He refuses to have her life be taken down to Charon’s ferry so early. So he planned on doing what any person in love would do. He’ll keep her by his side at any cost. Even if it means to keep her down in this underworld for all eternity, from the sun.

my oc in this story Percy is twisted from Persephone the Goddess of Spring from Disney’s Goddess of Spring film. this fic is mildly referenced from Hades and Persephone’s relationship in both Goddess of Spring and the original Greek story where Hades is obsessed with persephone and wants to marry her at any cost, and Persephone is in love with Hades as well and rebels against Demeter, her mother and falls in love with the God of the Underworld.

You stared at the blurred figure holding flowers and chains, you followed the chains that you soon realize connected to your right foot. You look down at yourself, you find yourself in a wedding cloths but it's black and blue in color.

"what's wrong ? Do you find your self in any discomfort? But I made sure it's your favorite type of cloths like you once said you wanted to wear in special day like this.., and measure it to your size. Hehe. You look very beautiful in you..."

A wide smile with his sharp teeth come to view yet you can't move as he call your name over and over again.

"GET AWAY FROM ME, GET AWAY FROM ME. I WANNA GO HOMEEEE."

You wanted to scream and punch someone, who the fuck made this world genre have this huge turn!!

"silly Yuu~ you cant go home~ because your already home."

You felt the psycho hold your shoulder captive as you try to run.

"I SAID FUCK OFF, BITCH!" You then sent a punch to the person, shaking you awake.

"OWWW... Is this what pain felt like? Truly my data from all kind of source never made me know it's kind of agony, without experiencing it myself..." You heard someone groan out of pain from the punch you did just now, opening your eyes you stared at stranger... Ortho who seems... Quite older than he use to be and more fleshy than yesterday.

"...oh. so Pinocchio is thing too?" You said blankly as your process what could be the possibility of this kind of scene. You come to learn that this world is a world base on some channel on TV you watch when your kid, or even before your were sent here. Obviously nothing is surprising to see now, the only surprise your waiting to hear or see is That gottdamn principal doing something to help your case.

"Pinocchio? Prefect Yuu know of that story too?" You notice that his eyes is usually sparkling. Very unusual. But as long it don't involve Overblot again, it's fine.

You pause and think maybe it's really a story of this world but this new human, Ortho says that it's a story he only heard from someone. The probability of a robot becoming flesh and skin is 0.0000000000000000...001% through his calculation is miscalculated.

"did you wish upon a star, that you wanna be human? " You don't understand why would someone wish to be a human. If you were ask, if you wanna be something else other than human--to be honest. The answer is simple: that kind of species that don't have or can't have depression.

"base on my last night news Intel that there is indeed a shooting star that happen. But I was already in sleep mode when that happen." He tried to stood up but he fallen face first as he is someone who just gain human body. You watch him struggle for a while that you almost heard a family voice screaming behind the tree line: HELP HIM. HOW COULD YOU WATCH HIM SUFFER--

but when you look where the voice come from, you saw no one that could be related to Ortho big brother, Idia.

You sigh the nth time. You felt you become Jamil who keep sighing but what can you do. You stuck with this person, wait no. Ortho don't do anything bad yet on your list, it's more of this place than him. Through, you do have friends here. That doesn't mean your desire to go home falter.

"here..." You stood in front of Ortho who you notice is wearing a hoody, something that might be influenced by his older brother sense of taste. He look up to you and to your out stretching hand.

"thank you, prefect Yuu." His warm hand that is unlike the texture of a robot hand would have probably something odd to you, if your someone who freely hold his hand before. But since you and him only have this scenario to have this kind of interaction. You grab hold of his hand and pull him up to his feet.

"..." You then realize his quite taller than you, maybe his taller than his older brother as well. You question if it's because those brothers are base on Hades who have titan blood. So they are taller than average people, cause of genes.

"prefect Yuu seems smaller..." You heard him laugh but karma seems to strick early today as he lose his balance when he start laughing and collapse on top of you.

You once again hear a scream: HOW CRINGE CAN THIS GET--

but the noise is soon cover by the blowing wind.

You should feel embarrassed on your position right now, but your still not mentally sane to felt like a normal teenager as you just encounter many over blot back to back in an unknown world. Your also annoyed at someone right now. You felt all the feelings you can felt those days are all negative or nothing.

"sorry..." You saw his hair edge ablaze in pink color. 'oh wow, how interesting...' you thoughts. If only you have energy to care about that. You after all felt the glare coming from afar.

"I dont know, if you ever experience pining down someone before but your brother is glaring at me. It was Idia shroud and Alice Bylur who's been watching you two. Ortho who saw his brother out of his room is quite happy while trying to run toward his older brother for a hug.

You watch the scene where they dramatically hug each other as if they never seen each other for years.

Idia cried when he saw his younger brother he created to have skin, flesh, and bones. Like his decrease younger brother. He was both happy and fearful. What if Ortho is too weak and can't protect himself? Humans are weak and they die easily. That's why he he don't like the idea of Alice helping out Ortho case when he first heard that same story before Ortho.

If his brother stay as a robot. He can protect himself and won't let the same tragedy to happen again. He dislike the idea but seeing his younger brother Alice and warm. He can't say the words as it's stuck on his throat. He can only cry while continue to hug his younger brother who's smiling widely at him.

"srl... Break up you two." What seems to he a few seconds for him, in reality is already an hour and haft passes by. Alice and you who watch those two hug like no tomorrow ready eaten few ice cream cone yet those two don't stop hugging yet.

"...fuck off." Alice kicked him off his legs and walk away. But the red haired stranger just leech back to his legs. "Can we have a duel. Can we play, can we play house, can we build a snowman--" fast question is being ask as well being ignored.

"hehehe...." He smirked before he whistle. From the river that is few step away from us, out come, a horse made off water.

"OH SEVEN, IS THAT HORSE WHAT I THINK IT IS?!" Your otaku senior screams at the sight of the enchanted creature. "That Celestia horse from that animation: ice emperor 2!!" He nerd out which made his brother chuckle at his excitement.

Your supposed to be running away from the school and now you found yourself being treated like a royal guest in a royal palace made of pure white marble and expensive stone.

People mix with enchanted snow people greeted your group as you all ride your way to the palace. You saw many structure made of white and blue marble. It was like like the whole city is made of snow and ice to the very structure.

"this was fun big brother!" You heard Ortho says to idia who is now in the ground trying to make it swallow him whole. He realize that his surrounded by stranger and what more they all eyeing him too no end.

"let's do it again next time. Hehe." The younger shroud added as he look around the place with glee seen reflected in his eyes.

A Fae's Lover(Yandere Overblot Malleus X Ace)

From Snake-noodles's horror prompts and @peonys-world 's TWST yandere prompts.

Note: Ace and Yuu have switched roles in this AU, but still have their canon personalities.

Ace was seen running away in the dark woods looking tired and weak. Crowley has found a way for Ace to get back home but unfortunately that also alerted Malleus Draconia, prince of Valley of Thorns.

That caused the black haired prince to target Crowley with the infamous sleeping spell so he could manage the school in order for the ginger haired to not leave, the other first years(Yuu, Deuce, Epel, Ortho, and even Sebek) tried to stop him but it's too late.....

Malleus has overblotted..

He still after the ginger head who was still hiding under his nose.

With Ace...

He is hiding in the woods try not get caught by the overblotted prince, he still has Grim with him.

"Hey Grim?" Ace said caused the blue-fire familiar to look at him "Do you think, everything like this wouldn't had happened if Crowley didn't find a way for me to get home.." Ace said in a solemn voice "Ngh, what are you talking about Ace-dazo?" Grim looking at him while he's eating his Tuna that Ace found it in the Ramshackle Dorm.

"The thing is that-" before he could say anything"Ace! Look out-dazo!" Grim yelled and before the ginger boy could do anything, he was blackout along with Grim.

Ace gasped and jerk opened his eyes, panting and he felt a little pain come from above him and took a look at his wrists, the thorns were tied his wrists to his body, preventing his body from moving. He groaned a little and he muttered, “I can’t move…. where did the thorns come from?”

"I see that you're now awake, my love." A familiar but hunted voice echoed, it was so familiar that Ace gasp softly "Malleus?!"

The overblotted prince stepped out from the darkness and made a calm smirk, he walked toward him and cupped him in the chin carefully, “Your eyes, their so beautiful.. Like a scarlet- no a ruby. "

“W-What do you want and why tie me with the thorns?” Ace stared at him with a shocked and confused face, then he realized..

"What did you do to them?!" He yelled, Malleus looked at him confusingly "What are you talking about?" He asked "I said. What. Did. You. Do. To. The. Others?! The ones that we're asleep?!" He ask angerly while looking at Malleus, the dragon fae however chuckled very darkly "Oh them? They be asleep forever if you asked me." He said and Ace's eyes widen in shock and fear. "But don't worry, I will wake them up, but only on one condition." He said and before the ginger can say anything.. The overblotted prince kissed him on the lips "Be my lover, if you don't agree to it... Then nobody at Night Raven College will ever woke up again... " He said whisper into Ace's ear in a seductive voice.

Ace had thought about it now, 1st he don't wanted to become Malleus's lover and 2nd if he didn't then nobody at NRC will wake up again..

"I.. Became your lover.." He whisper under his breath but Malleus had heard and was happy for it... "Wait, what happened to Grim?" He asked "He was right besides you my love." Malleus said looking at the sleeping familiar. "You are never leaving me Ace, you're mine." He whispered to Ace's ear.

Then he kissed the ginger boy again but deeper this time around....

After Malleus's overblotted had stop he put on a spell on everyone by removing their memories of his overblot and Ace going back home, but only Lilia, Sebek and Silver remember it.

After graduation, the Diasomnia group takes Ace to the Valley of Thorns where Malleus will be crowned king some day and Ace will be his queen some day, Lilia did wanted to help but he can't.

7 years later

Ace Trappola or now Ace Draconia was standing in his and Malleus's room in the castle he was pregnant for like 3 months now..

Even now he's still miserable, not only that he managed to free everyone else from the sleeping spell but at the cost of him being Malleus's lover or now husband..

The boy is now trapped in the dragon's arms, and never be free again..
