yandere celica
pairing: celica x gn!reader
tags: established relationship, implied possesed/fallen celica
celica is barely recognizable as a yandere, almost as if possessed by something sinister that amplifies her base emotions to an insane level
she's a kind and caring girl, yet as a yandere, her caring side becomes almost obsessive, as she wants to keep you away from any possible harm
celica doesn't want you to fight, nor does she want you to do anything that could otherwise hurt you
she even keeps you away from other people, so that she can make sure they can't hurt you either
of course, she also doesn't want you falling in love with anyone else, so keeping you away from others helps with that too!

I see your writing for fire emblem engage and I really love that game and I just finished it for maddening. I don’t know if this is a request or not but may I ask in the context of the base emblems, can you rank them based on how extreme they would be as a yandere like I think I would rate emblem Celica as 12th cause even if she turns yandere she still very passive and more so she’s just clingy but I would rate Byleth a 4th due to him being extremely manipulative and overprotective
Hii, welcome to the blog! I´d say normally I would consider this a request but I´m kind of in the mood to write for fire emblem right now so I thought this would be a fun little thing to do ^^
Now I must confess that for most of the lords ( which the majority of emblems are) I have some difficulty with trying to think of them as a yandere or in a self-shipping context in general. Don´t really know why that is. I also haven´t played all of the games yet so I can´t say too much about some of them, I hope that´s okay!
Also because I have a real hard time ranking things in order, here are just some thoughts on most of the emblems as yanderes ☺️
3.7k words
gn reader
tw yandere, obsession, worshipping, self-sacrifice, kidnapping, possessiveness
Characters: Marth, Celica, Sigurd, Leif, Roy, Lyn, Eirika and Ephraim, Ike, Micaiah, Lucina, Corrin, Byleth
How are the 12 base emblems like as yanderes?
Marth
Now I´ll have to be honest, I actually haven´t played any of Marth´s games yet so I´m not very familiar with his character. But as with most FE lords, he strikes me as a very kind and heroic character. In Engage he kind of takes the role of a supporter and protector of the Mc and we can see that in general, he is pretty gentle.
He probably wouldn´t be a very bad yandere to be stuck with, I can´t see him ever getting violent with his darling. He strikes me as a protective yandere (something that can be said for most of them) who will do whatever he can to keep you safe while trying to make your stay with him as comfortable as possible.
Celica
I haven´t quite finished Echoes yet because I´m very bad at finishing games but I agree with your take that she also wouldn´t ever harm her darling. She´s a very devout follower of Mila and I think that same mentality could also apply to her darling. Slowly but surely, she starts seeing them as a divine being worth worshipping. She´s been completely alone for most of her life and after she had to leave Ram Village, she´s been craving more human connections. So when she finally met you, it was like Mila had sent down an angel for her. You were so kind to her, so trusting and good-natured, Celica was immediately fond of you.
She will do whatever she can to aid you in your daily life, she has to repay you for everything you gave her. She´s not very likely to attack other people, even as a yandere, because above else she wants peace. Nonetheless, if a monster or a criminal were to try and attack you, she would kill them no questions asked. No one is allowed to lay their hands on someone as divine as you, she won´t stand for it.
Due to a certain spoilery scene that happens in Echoes, I believe that Celica would also be willing to sacrifice herself for you. If there ever was a point where she would have to choose between your or her own life, she would choose yours without any regrets.
Your survival is of the utmost importance and if that means giving up her life in exchange for yours, then she is happy.
Sigurd
I have only played the prologue and chapter 1 of FE4 and ragequit when Jamke was killing my units in the forest because I couldn´t get them out in time to recruit him. Oops.
Well from what I know with how his story with Deirdre develops, I believe that Sigurd would fall for you much in the same way: Hard and fast. And if nothing else, Sigurd is stubborn. Once he has his mind set on wanting to make you his, he won´t give up until he finally has you, no matter the consequences. I mean he was literally forbidden from getting with Deirdre and he still did it. He doesn´t care what anyone else says, he doesn´t care if you already have a lover. He knows that the moment you two shared together at your first meeting was magical for both of you. He knows the love between you two is true. And he´s willing to risk it all for you.
It´s a good thing if you actually do feel the same way about him and are single! Because even though he isn´t a bad person, he does conquer several territories in Fe4 without any specific orders to do so. He may not like doing it but if it means he can have you, he would be willing to kill any romantic rivals there might have been ( or any he might have imagined).
Once you´re actually with him, he naturally is very protective of you and doesn´t let too many other people get close to you.
Leif
Now I have to admit, Leif is probably the character I know the least about here. As I said, I never played Fe4 to the point where you would get him and I haven´t played Thracia either. So most of this is just the vibes I get and a few lines from Heroes.
Now Leif has quite a tragic story and has been driven out of his kingdom when he was still young. Ever since then, he had made efforts to try and reclaim what had been taken from him. Because of that, he also strikes me as someone who would fight for his darling. He knows what it´s like to lose people that are important to you ( his parents) and now that he has clawed his way back from the brink, he doesn´t want the same to happen to you, the person he has decided he wants to spend his life with. He´s pretty desperate to protect you actually.
Still, he´s pretty young and so the love he feels for you very much still is a puppy-love kind of thing. He likes talking to you and finds it comforting to do so. He´s very nice to you and you aren´t really in any danger when being with him. I think being with him isn´t all too bad, he´s just a bit over-protective if anything.
Roy
I´ll be honest, I know almost nothing about Roy so I´m sorry if this is short😭 Predictably, I haven´t played Binding Blade yet.
He´s also one of the younger emblems here and that shows itself in how hard he tries to impress you. He´s usually pretty dense when it comes to romance but he knows what he feels when he sees you. You make him happy. I feel like he could be a bit hot-headed because of his age but as far as I know, he´s actually one of the few lords that can potentially make peace with the final boss of the game so there definitely is quite a lot of kindness to him as well. He doesn´t really want to pick any fights with people he trusts, all he wants is to be with you and if you don´t resist then honestly, it´s all going to be okay.
Lyn
Finally, after quite some time, we get to some more games I´ve actually played! And here we go with Lyn! Fe7 was actually the first Fire Emblem I ever played and it really hooked me even back then <3
Now Lyn actually doesn´t strike me as the type of person who would really actively be looking for any sort of romance. She´s lived alone for most of her life and so she does crave some companionship, but romance is something she really doesn´t have any experience in.
When she meets you, she does feel a bit strange but doesn´t put a lot of thought into it. Quickly as you two spend more time together, she really begins to take a liking to you. It´s nice to not be alone and you´re good company. The more you stay together, the more she grows attached to you. If you can fight, she´ll want to fight along your side, if you can´t or are frail in some way, Lyn will prefer you to stand on the sidelines, where it´s safe. She doesn´t know what she would do if you were ever truly harmed. The attacker definitely wouldn´t be living for much longer, that much is sure.
So to sum it up, Lyn is very protective of you and only trusts a select few people with you, anyone else could be a potential danger and she doesn´t want to risk anything.
I think it would actually be kind of tough for darling to figure out that Lyn is obsessed with them. Lyn doesn´t strike me as very physically affectionate. Only if you watch very carefully can you see the way her eyes soften when she gazes at you or the way her hand around the handle of her sword tenses when a particular troublemaker starts hitting you up. She definitely won´t tolerate anyone trying to flirt with you. She´s known you for way longer than they possibly could have, who do they think they are?
Eirika and Ephraim
I know it´s mainly Eirika and Ephraim is only really present in the special attack but I thought this was more interesting.
So having one person obsessed with you is bad enough but two of them? And they´re siblings too? Things are about to get quite a bit more complicated. The thing is, you´re not really sure if this is better or worse than only having one of them?
Of course, having two people focus all of their attention on you is very overwhelming. It stresses you out, the way they both fuss over you, the way they look at you.
Eirika is definitely the gentler one of the two, speaking to you very softly and taking great care of you. She makes sure you aren´t lacking anything (except your freedom). She also isn´t very fond of conflict and would prefer to avoid it altogether.
Ephraim is the brash and more hot-headed of the two, always picking fights with people he deems a threat ("He doesn´t pick fights he can´t win" or whatever) and generally being bolder with his affections. He doesn´t hesitate to throw his arm over your shoulder to show off to others that you´re his while Eirika prefers to simply hold your hand in her own.
Them being siblings also causes conflict from time to time. After all, what kind of siblings never have any petty squabbles? Suddenly one of them believes that the other has been getting a bit more attention from you than them and the arguing begins. Wild accusations from Ephraim that Eirika is coddling you too much while Eirika complains about the brutish ways in which Ephraim disposes of rivals. It can get annoying really fast but it´s also something that you could potentially try to use to your advantage.
Playing clear favorites with them might make them argue with each other, potentially giving you an opening to try to make your escape while they´re distracted. Do be very careful with this though because once they realize that you´re gone, they´ll quickly get over whatever argument they were having and work together to find you again. Siblings tend to have petty fights with each other but they will have each other´s backs when it comes to the important things. They *will* find you again, who knows what dangers you might be getting yourself into?
Ike
Similarly to Lyn, I can´t really see Ike as someone who is very interested in romance. In Radiant Dawn, he only has two paired endings, which isn´t a whole lot honestly ( and they´re kind of vague on how romantic they actually end up being). So maybe he would be more of a platonic sort of yandere? He cares a great deal about his friends and his family of the Greil Mercenaries and he tries his utmost to protect them. It would be much the same for his darling.
Ike wouldn´t be very physically or vocally loving in the traditional sense, he strikes me as someone who would struggle a fair deal with expressing his feelings, especially if we´re talking POR Ike where he is still fairly young. In the end, his confession would be pretty blunt, a simple "I like you." or "You´re important to me." maybe but nothing flowery or dramatic, that just isn´t the kind of person he is.
That being said, Ike cares a great deal about your well-being, even if he isn´t all that great at putting it into words. So to show you that, he does the one thing he does best: Protecting you. Ike is a very strong and capable fighter and so he will be quick to dispose of anyone that tries harming you. I don´t see him as someone that would try to isolate his darling however, especially not the Greil Mercenaries. These people are his family, he trusts them dearly and he would want you to grow connections with them and enjoy being around them. It would shatter his heart if you didn´t like being around them.
Micaiah
Micaiah I see as another worshipper type of yandere. She´s had a rough life so far, only having very few people around her that she could call friends in the Dawn Brigade while fighting for the liberation of Daein. It´s a lonely life, even with Yune whispering into her ear that one day, she will meet the partner of her dreams, the one to make her happy.
And then, on a day like any other, she finds you. It´s a very unremarkable meeting, one you wouldn´t have thought much of afterwards, but to her, it was like all the stars aligned, as if all of her life and past suffering suddenly had a purpose. She was completely starstruck, a loud pounding in her chest when she laid her gaze on you. At that very moment, Micaiah knew that you were the one Yune had been telling her about all along. And so, she vows to let you know just how much you mean to her.
As a yandere, Micaiah is very caring and thinks of you as a higher being, someone who has more worth than any other mortal walking this earth. You are special to her and so she will be damned if anything were to happen to you. She refuses to allow it. If you were ever in any mortal danger, Micaiah wouldn´t hesitate to use Sacrifice on you to transfer over her own life energy to you.
But while she is very nice and caring with you, Micaiah can be quite a bit more snarky and ruthless than you might have initially thought. She doesn´t shy away from making negative or rude comments to people she thinks you spend too much time around. (Remember that scene where she snarkily calls Ike "the father of Sothe´s children" because Sothe talked about him so much? Yeah.) She´s also willing to do bad things if she feels like she has to. If it´s for you, then no crime is bad enough for her not to consider it. She doesn´t like hurting people but she will if her hand is forced.
Also, can we talk about her having a goddess on her side? Yeah, you´re going to have a very difficult time trying to get away from her anytime soon.
Lucina
Lucina is someone that I think actually has great potential to be a yandere. She comes from a ruined future, a world where all her loved ones and friends died and the entire world is doomed. Now she has travelled back in time to change fate and make things right.
A particularly tragic possibility would be to have her witness the death of her darling in her future. It was an event that deeply scarred her forever and one that she is now desperate to avoid. She can´t allow you to die again, she can´t let it happen a second time. She wouldn´t be able to go on if she ever had to experience that amount of grief again.
So when Lucina finally makes it back in time, her top priority is finding you again. To do that, she has to go back in time quite a bit. Maybe she makes it back to a time where you two aren´t dating yet, or maybe even back to when you hadn´t even met each other yet. You´re so overwhelmed and honestly confused when you´re just going along with your day when suddenly, a young woman rushes towards you and engulfes you in a crushing hug as she cries into your shirt about how much she has missed you.
It´s quite terrifying honestly and you don´t know how to react other than trying to rip yourself out of her grip, which only makes her cling onto you even harder. Her explaining to you that she´s from the future where the entire world has ended and you, her lover, had tragically died and that she now traveled back in time to make things right, doesn´t really put your mind at ease either. I mean, who would honestly believe that?
But no matter what you say, Lucina is determined to not repeat past mistakes. She had been too careless, letting you roam around freely without her at your side, it´s what led to you dying! She won´t let it happen again!
Lucina will try and be sweet to you, knowing how hard this must be for you to believe, but she won´t give you a choice in this. She´s going to stay with you and keep you safe no matter what. She´ll follow you wherever you go with her blade at the ready, prepared to strike at anyone who tries to take you away from her again.
Corrin
Corrin has lived a very sheltered life for the most part, never really leaving the Nohrian castle. Because of this, they had many opportunities to picture what life outside the castle could possibly look like. What else was out there? What adventures or new experiences could wait for them there? Yes, they were always loved by their Nohrian siblings but they couldn´t help but yearn all the same.
Maybe being read some romance books in their childhood led to Corrin developing a fantasy of one day meeting their ideal partner, the one that would shake up their entire world, the one they would spend the rest of their life with. They had dreamed about it a lot in the comforts of their own room, delving into daydreams about what meeting you for the first time might be like.
And then they leave the castle for the first time and they meet you. And just like they had always imagined, Corrin feels themselves immediately lovestruck when you send a smile their way. This was it. This is the person they´re meant to be with, they just know it!
They´ll immediately be very friendly and way too trusting of someone who is basically a complete stranger. But they just can´t help it, their sheltered life hasn´t really helped them in growing a healthy sense of suspicion. No, instead the thought of you possibly doing something shady is completely off their mind.
Ever since that first meeting, Corrin would want to see you again every day. It´s the first real human interaction they had with anyone outside of the Nohrian royal family and the servants in the castle and they´re hooked on you. Listening to you talk about your mundane life is so exciting to them, both because they love listening to you speak and because it is genuinely interesting to them to know what a normal person´s life might look like.
And soon enough, they just won´t leave you alone. They´re sweet and their curiosity is kind of charming, but they are so very annoyingly clingy. They will pout and beg you to stay around for just a bit longer when you tell them that you have to leave. After some time they start inviting you over to the castle and you can´t really refuse to go when a royal carriage is standing before your home one day.
And then suddenly, one day you just aren´t allowed to leave anymore.
" The servants have set up your own personal room for you. I made sure that everything was just to your liking! Now we can spend even more time together, isn´t that simply wonderful", Corrin will simply tell you one day and then it is a done deal. Whatever your life was before, you will have to abandon it to fulfill Corrin´s dream of a happy married life alongside the person they adore the most.
Byleth
Honestly, I´ve kind of strayed completely away from trying to rank them as yanderes ( sorry about that) but I agree that kind of everything about Byleht makes them a scary yandere.
First of all, they´re a trained and experienced mercenary, they have all the fighting prowess they might need to keep their darling in check or make sure that nothing happens to them.
Then, they have their affiliation with the church and a certain position of power. Whether you are a student or not, Byleth is still a respected figure in the monastery and has all the benefits that might bring. She has connections to the Knights of Seiros and even with Lady Rhea herself. If you ever were to run away ( or rather, if you were to be stolen away by bandits, is what they would tell everyone afterwards), several knights or even their students would be sent out to look for you. And do you really think you could get away with so many people looking for you? You´ll be back right by their side within 3 days.
Then there´s also the whole... a goddess is in their head talking to them and them having the ability to turn back time thing. Yeah, you´re very much screwed here. How are you supposed to fight back against someone who can simply turn back time? With this ability, they have so many chances to choose the right words when talking to you or to get rid of someone in secret, without you ever knowing these rewinds even happened. In-game we might have a limited amount of uses but I don´t think it´s ever been confirmed that this is actually something that Byleth needs to adhere to in the story.
And then last but not least, there´s the fact that Byleth is just impossible to read. They don´t show any emotions in their facial expressions and their voice is mostly monotone. You would not be able to tell just how obsessed they are with you from interacting with them. You think you´re just having a friendly tea party with them and suddenly you find yourself drugged and locked up in their room.
And even when they finally have you, they´re just kind of creepy with them staring at you for long amounts of time while not saying anything. They´re not very affectionate either.
But what help could you possibly count on now when everyone at the monastery loves the professor?

To: the anon who asked for Asimov,
Hello! I took so long to answer your ask because I had started a fic about Asimov a few months prior to ask and initially wanted to finish that first and send that as an answer to your ask.
However, when I consolidated what I had to write, I realized it might be a while before I got back to it and instead of putting it off for longer, I decided to just write a drabble (besides, it helps me figure out how he would be as a yandere), so
Asimov.
A New Breakthrough (Yandere Asimov X GN Reader)
Warnings: Mentions of metaphysical warts and boils
He would much rather have his teeth pulled, one by one, than feel this...this feeling right now. It felt strange and uncomfortable, like a wart hidden deep in his body, nestled between organs. It was there and it was wrong, but he couldn't get it out and he couldn't ignore it anymore either.
It was ridiculous! There's data to analyze, experiments to be done, advancements to be made, and breakthrough's to be had! He should be devoted to science, not chasing after frivolous delights. He managed to cut out everything unnecessary in pursuit of science. Excessive social gatherings, meaningless hobbies, all of it! Anything that didn't somehow help him in his studies, he cut it out of his life.
Yes, it...hurt for a while, to be that lonely dedicated, but he git used to it and besides, Celica has a habit of forcibly dragging him along to small get-together's and the like, and he has everyone in the lab so it's not like he's missing any sort of social interaction so great that he's craving it so then why do you plague his mind so incessantly?
It feels like an invasive disease has taken over his mind body. Between the lines of every report is a thought about you, every walk to a meeting is tinged with a hope of seeing you in the hallways, every word uttered by his colleagues have him wishing he could hear you instead. He's even started taking his lunches outside just to see you.
Sometimes, he got angry with you...(Well- it's mostly anger that appears randomly at 3 A.M. And then dissipates the following morning after he crashes at his desk) and he'd blame you for this mess of emotions and thoughts he doesn't want and never asked for, other times, he likes it. It's fun to sometimes steal a moment to himself and peek at what your up to. It's the one thing that quiets the illness in his brain and gives him a true sense of peace. He's even observed better performance in his work after seeing you.
He's ashamed to admit that he's thought of various ways he could...How should he say this? Court you? Date you? Win you over?
Sigh.
That's what he would like to call it, what he should call it, but, in all honesty, he doesn't want any of those things.
Deep down, in the recesses of his mind, covered in those sticky warts and boils. He wants you.
Not really in a sexual way. Though he gets plagued by those thoughts too on occasion, but more like he wants to put you in a little box and keep you around with him forever and ever. It's a fantasy, one that his morals refuse to let wander any further than a fruitless, meaningless, empty fantasy.
But he does think about it from time to time, and he does want you. Even just- holding your hand, and having that be his to keep. He could be happy with that, he thinks. He hopes.
That's enough of this, he should really get back to his research.
He's doing some research into paralyzing gas. Back when he was first appointed Officer, there was no need for such a thing as there was no such thing as Hetero-Creatures back then, but now he supposes they might find some use. It's worth a try.
You never know what you might gain from a new research direction.

Excuse me- WHAT? How in the world is Castin gonna react to that? 😭 Do you think he'd harm Annalise? What if we add angst? What if Castin was too late and wasn't able to protect Celica? What if his yandere senses kick in?
Also, I kinda don't like Annalise. It should be Annalice 😊 cause she itchy, irritating, puny like that
Hehe, I don't want to give our couple a bad ending. Their Canon lives are already so dangerous!
I like to think that Celica manages to disarm Annalise with her dagger when the girl snuck into her office just in time as Castin and Ezekiel burst in. Castin kicks her in the back of her knees and shoves her onto the ground as his soldiers take her away while Ezekiel attends to Celica and the unborn child. Checking and making sure they have no injuries and the baby is alright.
Enough is enough. Castin is gonna have his ex executed for this. No amount of begging from her parents can save her now.
NSFKJDSNF, I WASN'T AWARE THAT HER NAME COULD BE A PUN WHEN I CHOSE IT! You're more petty than me, Anon. I admire that!

Imagine Lambda's curiosity and confusion about same sex romances.

Lambda-11: *lifts her head up* "Cute? What does my appearance have to do with combat?" *gets into her fighting stance*

Poly meme: alm/celica/faye!
Who’s the best gift giver? Do they go in on gifts or do it separately?
Alm and Celica neck and neck with protag powers but Faye oves a meaningful trinket or meal delievery as a go to
2. Sleeping arrangements: Do they push the beds together? Who takes all of the blankets in bed? Who’s practically draped over the others?
they are royalty bitchesssssssss so they could have a massive bed if they wanted one, depends on how chill society is with polyamory i guess but the flip side is definitely everyone in a pile on the floor during like campaigns or whatever
3. Who is always in the middle in triad cases?
alm
4. How do date nights look like?
relaxing nights in, stargazing, enjoying their company away from royal duties and what have you, homecooked meals and such
5. Do any members get jealous? How do they act when they do?
faye gets very, very jealous and works through it with aggressive baking, needlework, archery because otherwise, she is scary (i am a yandere faye enjoyer)
6. Who asked who out? How was the first date(s)?
I like Faye as the initiator tbh like she finally bucks up and tells Alm how she feels and he feels the same sorta and Celica is really sweet about it and Faye didn't expect that so now girl crush mode activates
as for the first date. lots and lots of walks around the village or castle, proper courting stuff, you know
7. Who brings home stray pets and convinces the others to keep them?
celica and alm
8. Who are the reckless ones that make Bad Decisions? Who are the sensible ones who follow after them to make sure they don’t die?
reckless = alm
sensible one = faye
depends on the day/her mood = celica
10. Who’s the one who remembers everyone’s favorite orders at cafes/restaurants?
faye but they're all quite attentive in that way but faye especially because she is scary about it
11. Would/do they have kids? Who are the Responsible Parents, who are the Cool Parents™ to the polywogs?
of course thy have kids, Valm needs heirs. Celica and Faye are both responsible parents, Alm is their chokepoint in an otherwise united front

alright, actually I wanted to stay out of any FE 3 Houses discourse because some arguments seem to wrapped into 11 layers of previous fandom dramas and I still have to finish Azure Moon, and still have to go through Silver Snow. Also, as someone who's in the ASOIAF fandom, having to read takes about morally grey designed characters, and conflicted moralities about an RPG which is way more barebones in worldbuilding and sides (although clearly inspired by GoT), it does seem tiring to me.
On the other hand, I did scroll over a post in the vain of "[Edelgard was so wrong to start a war against the Church of Seiros.] Actually the crest system isn't bad. If it really was oppressive then Mercedes and her mother wouldn't have been fallen into poverty. Constance too, btw." Apart from somehow trying to argue the fact that the crest system, a system which privileges social status automatically by bloodline, is a not subtle stand in for a nobility based social hierarchy, the game pointing it out as a problem in the very early chapters, there was also a glaring overlook of systematic sexism in the game. Or in other words, it finally clicked to me, someone who avoided fandom discussions, why such arguments are brought up, and to an extend why the Edelgard vs Rhea discourse (TM) exists in the first place: This fandom doesn't like women. Or to rephrase, this fandom doesn't like women who're not written in a morally conflicted manner. Women who's trauma, decisions and behavior can not be couched into sweetness or quirkiness. Say, women afforded agency but therefore all the pitfalls and nuance that comes with consequential decisions.
The crest system is as much a problem in Foádlan as much as sexism is. These two systematic problems are interlinked.
I think everyone is allowed their space to like or dislike a certain kind of character but I find it very interesting how the most discussed character are women (Edelgard and Rhea) in a role, in hindsight of the fandom's history, usually a man would have in an FE title as villain with a cause - and fun thing, these men are barely talked about or praised for their nuance (Lyon). At least I've not seen much discourse about Randolph starting a war because of Duma's impending downfall. (And I get why "actually that female character is the best, all she does is amazing" is annoying when in the text the character is actually flawed. On the other hand, I get the reactionary sentiment because fandom spaces in general like to dump down on female characters more aggressively than on any male characters, most of the time.)
So, sexism in Fódlan. Clearly, FE 3 Houses is not the first tile to tackle systems as the problem rather than ghoulish non-creatures by force-of-darkness-dragons. But it is also true that in it's history, women of the title series were victim of sexist writing. In Awakening the Aversa on the evil side isn't only dark skinned but also clad in sexy latex, the darkest character we get is Tharja who's creepiness in repackaged as quirky yandere behavior. Eirika is a)not even cleverly duped by Lyon's schemes leading to the dark hour in her route b) not afforded the moral conflict with Lyon's complicated, ambiguous motivation like Ephraim, excluding Eirika from any more layered storytelling. And, 3 House's predecessor, Echoes, oh boy...! Listen, I like Echoes but this there're is such a load of sexism in in it. Celica is given the more difficult choice how to deal with Mila's absence while also being manipulated by Jedah. Her mistakes get punished by death, which Mila ex-machina-fied but from Alm's route. In Alm's route we do not have only one but entire four damsels in distress, in Celica's route, counting herself it plus her being brainwashed, two damsels in distress. Oh, and all the endings where only Silque is granted autonomy, every other girl is pushed into a cozy marriage with childbirth. (And ouch, Faye still being hung up on Alm with own family.)
So yeah, I kinda understand why the fandom is, in a historical sense, not used to women with agency or narrative conflict. Even less so with tackling sexism within the narrative. Women in the title series are barely unpleasant, and if they're on the "evil" side it comes with sexually aggressive character design, and not much character depth.
But whereas the game is very explicit in pointing out that arbitrary birth lottery systems like the crest system is bad by displaying the Church's enforcement of the crest order, and reasons why people might want to turn against it with Lord Lonato, and Miklan in Chapter 4 and 5, the problem of sexism is not named this explicitly. Yet it is constant theme and source of struggle in the life for the female cast. Interestingly, the most freedom of choice about a life is afforded to women within the Church. Most women who're not depend on a men to have a career as cleric, or warrior like Shamir, Catherine, and Manuela (her dependence on a man is entirely for romantic purposes and played as a joke) is in the Church. Well and of course, Rhea as century long leading Archbishop. In contrast, most women outside the Church don't have that freedom, in fact their crest becomes a problem.
The only exception might be Leonie: Outside the church order, lowborn, choosing a career as sellwsord on her own. What is also strikes me as interesting detail is the fact that Leonie is by behavior, interests, and design rather gender non-conforming. And well Petra, who's culture lies outside the faith and system of Seiros.
But already with Dorothea, another lowborn girl, the problem of a woman's position in Fóadlan becomes very apparent, especially in her exchange with Caspar: Without a crest (for which she was discarded on the streets), without a high social standing, even as a famous singer in the opera company, not being securely married means an incredibly unsafe future. For Caspar, the male equivalent of having neither crest nor remarkable, is making a career in the military - in spite of him being born as a noble.
Dorothea's problem gets mirrored so often in the life of noble women. Dorothea has to find a got match, the noble women are forced into it, and they can't get opt out of participating in the system. Ingrid's constantly pressured and guilty to marry and pass on her crest - otherwise her family will fall from their noble position. Part of the reason Ingrid's still hung up on Glenn is the fact that she a) genuinely liked him b) without his existence her future, a marriage with a noble who would've also accepted her wish to become a knight, therefore her family's future is incredibly uncertain. Her family does all to present her as good match, to the point of likely starving in order for Ingrid, the crest bearer, to survive. In spite of Ingrid describing her father as kind, on sidequest reveals how urgent the matter of marrying Ingrid off is to him that he possibly overlooks less favourable candidates. And Ingrid herself feels incredibly guilty for prioritizing warfare, the liberation of her kingdom over making a match.
There're so many unseen women in the story who's tragic stories revolve around the crest system. Hanneman's sister died due to the burden of the crest system, Balthus's mother's crest was not seen as something prestigious she was chased away from the happy marriage with Lord Albrecht. The crest didn't protect her. Balthus himself gets continuously harassed by his stepmother because she sees his crest as a danger to her own son's fortune. Also note, the one's suffering physical abuse due to having crests are all women: Hapi, Edelgard, Lysithea. They've explicitly fallen victim to human experimentation because of their crests. The Agartha's are those who conducted the experiments on the three, but in Edelgard's and Lysithea's case those who handed them over in the first place were the Adrestian nobles. Who actually get retaliated against with stripping their power when Edelgard ascends the throne. (Just to make it clear, this is not a pro-Edelgard point, it is to point out that the text explicitly names that human (male) nobels very much exploit the crest system for their own.
Also, there's Marianne. Instead of being cared for, and helped through her fear and guilt caused by the crest of Maurice, her uncle expects her to act all the noble part. While both of them seem to be in agreement to not talk about the crest of Maurice, for Marianne it brings too much pain, Marianne is left alone with her sorrow which might have not been resolved if not for the support and care of her classmates.
And let's get to Mercedes because the comment that the crest system isn't at fault for Mercedes' and her mother's social downfall is so crassly overlooking the text for an easy "gotcha" against a disliked character who is waging war against a system. Because yes, sexism and the hierarchical unfairness link in Mercedes' story. As mentioned before, lowborn women either marry or go to the Church for a more autonomous life, noble women with crests, like Ingrid are pressured into marriage. And the latter is very much true for Mercedes and her mother. Lady von Martritz only remarried because the Bartels wanted her to birth a crest bearing heir (Emil). Her entire function was serving a prestigeous childbirth. They both fled House Bartels because they got treated badly after their function to baron Bartel's was disbanded.
When Mercedes became of age she was viewed as an access to prestige not as a noble person. The problem here isn't that the crest system doesn't make a person not privileged. the problem is, that women in Fóadlan aren't given a personhood outside male dependency/inside the church. Even though Mercedes desperately tries to remain within the sanctity of the church her own stepfather, and a greedy merchant try to pry her away from it in order to exploit Mercedes as crest producer. (I mean, despite Mercedes' so gentle demeanour, her story line is extremely oppressive. The reason for Emil murdering his own father was because to protect his sister from getting sexually exploited.) So the Ladies of House Matritz, like Ingrid, are seen only as valuable as in they can pass on crests. It's sexism that lead the poor treatment of the remaining members of House Matritz - because the crest system interlinks with sexism in making women only as valuable as the crest they bear.
(Note on Constance why House Nouvelle fell: Well, she's a woman, duh. No but seriously, partly Constance is an unfortunate position because she's an additional DLC character who needed a bit of liberation from the Adrestian Empire in her actions because the Ashen Wolves are written as outcasts. Within the text, her proximity to Mercedes is interesting as she basically was befallen the same social downfall situation as Mercedes. And well yes, she's a woman who didn't receive any help, like Mercedes didn't receive any.)
In short: Whereas Miklan is an exemplary in the story why the crest system as class issue leads to abuse and neglect of human lives, notice how many women are victim to forced marriage, bad life conditions by failing to bring up the expected crests, or not having one. The crest system only gives women so much value as their crests are considered worth passing on. The crest itself doesn't protect women, within the events and background stories of FE 3 Houses it was only cause for exploitation and (physical) abuse. Last note: Whereas for Sylvain his struggles stem from the cycle of abuse passed on from Miklan to him because of the crest system, it is interesting how for many male characters other issues like poverty, racism, false ideals are more at their personal forefront of the many systematic problems Fóadlan entails for them. For the women, most issues are caused by the crests they bear. (Even Flayn/Cethleann isn't spared from it, although in her case it's a bit more complicated.)
Unsorted note on my thoughts on women the FE 3 Houses fandoms likes to bash on: (In a more tame version, it can be seen how some people despise Ingrid. Sorry, but in a game which has many sideplots about people growing together, out of the systematic barriers they're caged in, it is quiet unrealistic that only face- and nameless NPCs are perpetrators of systematic problems like racism. Ingrid being first abrasive to Dedue because of bias and unresolved trauma about Duscur, to later fumble her way in seeing her mistakes and doing better to Dedue is like... part of the theme? And funny enough, Hilda brushing over the fact that Cyril was previously enslaved by her family doesn't get as much scrutiny.)

I want to feel kind of creeped out today, so What better way than some head cannons and Am I right? Can get some yandere HC for Celica, Loki and Eirika. Who must protect there weak defenseless summon from Everyone and everything and they’re not taking no as an answer.
Celica
-Celica is afraid to lose you or rather she refuses to let you go.
-Things are incredibly difficult when you try to go on missions without her. She makes it known that she doesn’t think you two should be should be separated.
-Disagreeing with her even on little things is a red flag in her mind. Clearly you don’t love her anymore, and she can’t have that.
Loki
-Loki doesn’t like you even looking at the other heroes.
-Your eyes should be mesmerized by her and her alone. Your time should be spent with her alone. However, you don’t seem to be getting the message.
-She knows how fragile a creature a simple human is, and she knows how much you like to wonder off so she decides to use your mortality to her advantage. She curses you to be unable to leave her for too long without feeling sick. As soon as you see her though, you’ll feel much better.
-However, she isn’t afraid to curse others too. Eventually, people start to die if they stand too close or look at you too long.
-If you confront her about it, she will only laugh and deny that she did anything at all.
Eirika
-Eirika has seen what happens when the people she love try and push her away. It breaks her heart and leads them to make horrible mistakes. She won’t allow you to do the same.
-At first, she will seem doting, but in reality she is paranoid that someone will try and hurt you.
-She often taste tests your food for poison or watches over you as you sleep.
- Of course, there is nothing wrong with protecting you in battle or from more dastardly people. However, as time goes on, even Sharena and Alfonse seem to be plotting to kill you in her mind.
-Since she would never try to do anything to physically harm you, she would just simply never leave your side.
-Leaving you alone means leaving you to fall prey to those who would want to tear you from her drag you into evil, and she will never let that happen.

For the character ask game: Faye (you may have talked about these things for her before but ah well), Lilith, and/or Robin!
Oh well indeed, there's no reason to not talk about her more!
Send me a character
Faye
First impression: Before Echoes had been released there was just her artwork and just thought she was really cute! Then people started translating the dialogue from the Japanese release and went "Oh. Oh no."
Impression now: Well I'm working on a week about her, that's indication enough of what I think nowadays about her😂 Bonus rambles here! It's really funny how in general I tend to bond to characters who have been done dirty by either canon, the fandom, or both. I guess it says something about myself?
Favorite moment: Her reunion with Celica if she visits Ram Village in Act 2 and didn't recruit Faye with Alm! It's an incredibly sweet moment because even despite Faye being jealous of Celica, she's overjoyed at seeing her again and immediately asks her if she can join her party. And since Celica gets passive bonuses from Faye, we know the feeling is mutual!
Idea for a story: This is really silly and self-indulgent but I would love a Magical Girl AU with her as the protagonist😂
Unpopular opinion: Besides the obvious "I love her", I'd say that I actually think the intial premise of a character who's so obsessed with somebody it starts becoming genuinely harmful to both herself and the people around her without falling into yandere territory is great! (Especially as a deconstruction of the Catria archetype that had become downright saturated by this point) My actual beef is that the writers never address it, deconstruct it or heck, do anything meaningful with her, never giving her the chance to develop, being fleshed out or improve as a person. Unsuprisingly, I hate her endcard with a passion and pretend it's not a thing.
Favorite relationship: Celica, of course! Rinea comes close second because of this. For platonic relationships, I'd say Silque (after the initial awkwardness) and Genny, but lately I'm really digging her genuinely becoming friends with Alm after he rejects her. It's kinda weird without explaining it, but I think it works!
Favorite headcanon: I'd say it's that the events of the prologue really traumatized her because it's what makes the rest of her characterization (fanon or not) tick. For a more fluffy headcanon, that she's the one who taught Celica how to make flower crowns!🌸
Lilith
First impression: It was back when I was still in the FE subreddit ew and the "Fates bad" circlejerk was stronger than ever, so unsuprisingly it was just joking about how she exist just for cheap drama deaths in two routes and gets completely forgotten in the best one despite being the main villain's daughter, so like everyone else I pretty much just treated her like a joke.
Impression now: Well I still believe the game undeniably treated her like shit, honestly even worse than Rinea in my opinion. She never gets to have anything nice (not even a birthday or battle animations), the only time she has the spotlight is in a DLC that's completely ignored in the base game or when she dies for cheap drama and it's a massive shame because there's just so much she can offer! She's Anankos' daughter and Corrin's only biological sister, she knows more about what's going on in Valla than even Azura when you think about it, and even as a character there's just so much that can be explored about her, between her daddy issues, her self-worth being rock bottom (hell considering how eager she is to sacrifice her life she might even be suicidal), her relationship with Corrin and their family and her wanting to belong with them but also feeling that she can't (otherwise she'll get Valla'd among other things) or that she doesn't deserve it and the guilt at having to keep the truth hidden from them. Also, I swear that whole deal with the Astral Dragon Moro (remember them? Me neither) is a remnant of Fates' earlier draft because it just screams cut content for me.
Favorite moment: The ending of Hidden Truths because it's the only moment the writers bother to explore her at least a little. Sadly, you have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find good canon moments about her. (She has more lines in Heroes for fuck's sake)
Idea for a story: Honestly? Just her talking in the castle and see how she interacts with the rest of the group would be great to see! Also imagine the reunion with the Awakening Trio, that would be really hilarious and I have to write it someday😂
Unpopular opinion: Well, I guess really wanting to like her and thinking there's a lot she can offer is unpopular on its own...
Favorite relationship: Corrin's pretty much the only one she interacts with in canon, but at the same time I really like them! There's also the potential of exploring their relationship before and after the reveal, and I always wondered how they'd interact as siblings! Azura would also be really interesting, given they're both similar when you think about it, both of them coming from Valla, having a lot to hide and dealing with it in different ways and also... I wonder how she'd react if she learned she was Anankos' daughter. Also I really love the idea of her becoming Kana's aunt and guardian in Fates Intertwined because that would be really sweet :3
Favorite headcanon: Well there's the one I have about her being the only way to go back and forth from the Astral Castle meaning her death is actually a huge blow to the army because it means they can't go back to their safe haven anymore (also there's a good chunk of people trapped in the castle so yikes) because it makes her have a crucial role that no one can take away from her, but also the fact that her main talent is magic (being able to wield tomes, staves and her dragonstone) and she can use water spells! Oh, and that she eventually gets a dragonstone of her own so she can return to her human form. (that, when you think about it, it's also the one she lived as for most of her life)
#fire emblem#ask replies#good-beans#faye#lilith#my rambles#honestly i never thought much about lilith until i started thinking about fates intertwined#then everything clicked and now i love her#as usual i keep rambling for way too long😅#thank you for the ask rose! <3

not to create depth where there isn’t any or anything but literally everything that people hate or otherwise vilify Faye for is clearly the direct product of her having a life-threatening and traumatic experience as a literal 8 year old (and Ram Village not having any therapists :^U) and while yes, in execution it created a character that comes off as heavily one-note for the vast majority of her appearances -which, to be fair, still serves as more than enough to be a point of contention for people who aren’t into that kind of thing- there’s nonetheless plenty of evidence that there’s far more to her than just being yet another character with an unrequited crush on the dashing main character
She becomes attached to the point of an unhealthy fixation to Alm because she feels that he was the one responsible for saving her, and since this occurs when she was so young its no surprise that those feelings transform into romantic affection or at the very least feelings that Faye interprets as attraction even if they may truly be something more along the lines of appreciation
She comes to view Celica as a rival/antagonist to herself, consciously because she considers her as a rival in love (which is certainly aggravated by Celica being physically out of the picture for half of Alm’s life having done nothing to assuage his feelings for her) and potentially and almost certainly subconsciously due to the role that she played in the attack they faced as children. Celica isn’t to blame for Slayde and friends appearing in Ram Village 9 years ago, but memory is a fickle thing and memories of traumatic events even more so and it isn’t unfair to say that Celica’s presence certainly didn’t help resolve the situation.
If you choose to decline to recruit Faye with Alm and instead recruit her with Celica before you reach Act 3 (did you know: you can do that), Faye’s really pissed at that Alm Just Up And Left and is, in fact, quite happy to see Celica. There admittedly isn’t much to go off of for this because she doesn’t have any additional dialogue if you recruit her with Celica, but she nontheless will go with Celica if you turned her down with Alm (unlike Silque, who, while she still has lines if encountered by Celica, will not go with Celica)
This is reading pretty far into this, but it’s pretty strong evidence that Faye doesn’t actually love Alm, and that she just thinks she does because as long as you recruit her during act one she never has any sort of impetus to reevaluate her feelings and figure out how she actually views him. By being all “lol nope, you’re not coming with us” to her, Faye has been given the harsh wake-up call that she otherwise never gets; Alm choosing Celica over Faye every step of their journey doesn’t mean that he doesn’t like her, just that he likes Celica more. Even being told “I don’t love you in the way you love me” in their a support still carries the subtext of “but it’s not that I dislike you”, but by leaving her behind she’s forced to confront the fact that he didn’t like her enough to bring her along which causes her introspection to spiral from that into realizing “hey maybe i don’t actually want to date him” and then, from how glad she is to see Celica after being left behind, she would go from that to “hey maybe i didn’t actually hate Celica”
“Faye’s a Yandere XD” is like. okay sure you could read her “I’ll fight all your enemies for you, Alm!” support as that if you have a really shaky grasp on what a yandere is (hint: it’s more than just “I’ll commit violence in the name of love!”) but in the context of everything else it’s a young woman both desperate to prove herself worthy to the one she loves (who does not love her back in the way that she loves him) while also now being suddenly thrust into a situation where she, now more than ever, wants to keep him safe. Faye’s never been to war before, but she’s smart enough to realize that she needs to take this seriously in order to not die and if she can impress Alm and keep him safe while she’s at it? three birds with one stone.
“haha wow faye got alm a bunch of steaks for valentines day, look at how unhinged she is! lol” Alm’s only favorite taste if we exclude the obviously non-canon 7-11 dlc? meaty. you can do the math. Rudolf, who does some Kinda Stupid Things but is otherwise an intelligent man in full possession of his mental facilities, gets his son and his nephew each a fancy dagger, and from that we can infer that Valentines in Valentia isn’t just a holiday where you get people you care about chocolate or flowers and are done: it’s more along the lines of a broad ‘gift giving’ holiday (like. idk. a ‘fully secularized christmas’ or something) and in that context getting a person you’re fond of something they’d like getting them their favorite food is (surprise!) perfectly normal. She does get him way too much, but it’s just in line with Faye’s tendency to overdo things.
“she never moves on” yeah uh. funny how childhood trauma and the maladaptive coping techniques used to survive to adulthood just don’t ever really go away. they get weaker and have less sway over a person as they grow and mature beyond them, as can be seen in her willingness to marry someone else in her ending, but they never truly disappear, as can be seen in her continual attachment to Alm despite being married.
“she’s singularly fixated on alm, even to the point where her support with Silque is all about Alm” yeah and then Silque/Faye A is the exact opposite of that. Of course she goes into it being all “not alm? not interested” since it’s consistent with who she is but the support itself is just the victim of the “three conversations per pair” rule because it just. ends prematurely. Silque approaches Faye in C, Faye gives her ‘response’ in B, and in A Faye realizes “hey i was kinda a massive jerk, sorry” and says so to Silque and if they had even a single additional conversation it’s clear that following this progression that Faye would become more and more open to the idea of allowing more than just Alm into her world.

Yandere Velvet
Hm…this’ll be a difficult one.
————————————————————
Anonymous asks: Red Velvet Cake (RWBY)
And by red, I mean blood. From the murdered victims.
————————————————————
*Coco and Velvet are sitting at a table in the cafeteria, eating together*
Coco: A shame Fox and Yatsu couldn’t join us.
*Velvet says nothing*
Coco: But then again, they’re sick. Wouldn’t want them coughing all over our meals.
*Velvet still says nothing*
Coco: …Velvet? Are you alright? *Looks at Velvet, and notices that she’s staring at Jaune*
Velvet (internally): …Jaune…Oh…Jaune~…
Coco (chuckling): Heh. Got a crush on Jaune or something?
*Velvet still says nothing, but she starts blushing*
Coco: Heh! I knew it!
*Team CRDL walks over to Jaune, dumps his face into his food, then pours gallon of sticky soda over his head. After doing this, the team leave laughing their asses off*
Velvet (now glaring, internally): …That does it. We’ve been tormented by those jerks for far too long. I shouldn’t be act so timid and shy around that wretched team. It’s time I took action… *Stands up*
Coco (confused): Huh? Velvet?
Velvet (eyes turn empty): I’m going to go find Team RWBY… *Walks away*
Coco (concerned): Hm… *Looks over to Jaune, who’s looking sad*
*2 hours later…*
*Knock! Knock! Knock! Knock!*
Ruby (opening the door): Oh! Velvet! What can we do for you?
Velvet (holding up her camera): I wanna take a picture of my favorite team!
Ruby (giggling): Aw, that’s so awesome of you! GIRLS!!! GET OVER HERE!!!
*Team RWBY pose in front of the camera, Velvet takes the shot, and creates copies of their weapons*
Velvet (smiling): Much obliged~! *Runs off*
Weiss: Why’d she wanna take photos of us?
Yang: I dunno. ‘Cause we’re awesome?
Blake: I doubt that.
*4 hours later…*
*Team CRDL are all tied up and pinned against the wall in a small, dark room*
Velvet (readying her copied Ember Celica): Words cannot describe how much I’ve wanted this.
Cardin (muffled): Mmph Mmmmph!
Velvet (walking up to Sky): This is for all the hurtful pranks… *Punches him repeatedly across the face, then shoots him through the head, killing him*
Cardin (shocked): MMPH?!
Velvet (walking towards Dove with a copied Gambol Shroud): This is for all the times you’ve laughed at our pain… *Impales him through the chest, then pushes the blade upwards until his head splits into two, killing him*
Cardin (freaking out): MM!!! MMMM!!! MMMMMMPH!!!
Velvet (walking towards Russel with a copied Myrenaster): This is for all the torment you and your leader have caused upon us… *Impales him through the head, killing him*
Cardin (shaking his head): Mph! Mph! Mph! Mph! MPH!
Velvet (walking towards Cardin with a copied Crescent Rose): And this…is for wasting your worthless school life showing nothing but contempt and hatred towards those you deem as weaker than you. Whether it’s me, whether it’s Jaune…but today is the day that all ends. *Swings the scythe at his neck, beheading him*
*Velvet’s copied weapons disappear*
Velvet: Hmph. Good riddance. You- *head perks up* H-Huh?
*Velvet places her head against the door, and hears a familiar voice*
Jaune (stretching and walking by): Agh…damn that Cardin…next time I see him, I’ll give him a piece of my mind…
Velvet (smilling): *Gasp!* It’s him! It’s Jaune! It’s…hmph! Did mating season come early or something? *Quietly opens the door, closes it, then sneaks behind Jaune*
Jaune (humming): I’m looking over a four leaf- *Suddenly feels tapping behind him* Huh? *Turns around and sees Velvet blushing madly and swaying her hips*
Velvet (blushing): Mmmph! Mmmmmph~!
Jaune: Oh, uh…hi, Velvet. Can I help you with something?
Velvet (internally): Come ON, Velvet! Confess to him!
Jaune (confused): Velvet? Hello?
*Coco walks down the hallway, notices her teammate talking with Jaune, then walks over to the duo*
Coco: Hi, Jaune! Hi, Velvet! What’s going on here?
*Velvet starts glaring at her while Jaune turns around to see her*
Velvet (internally): What the hell is SHE doing here? Get away from my Jaune!
Jaune: Hi, Coco? I was just leaving back to my room, but Velvet stopped me to conversate with me, but she’s not telling me anything.
Coco (looking at Velvet): Hmm…
*Velvet still glares at her*
Velvet (internally): You better get away from him or so help me, I will-
Coco (shuddering): Brrr! Alright, Jaune. Let me break it down for you: My adorable teammate, Velvet Scarlatina, is in love with you.
Jaune (blushing): W-What?!
*Velvet, hearing this, hides her blush*
Coco: She loves you. I caught her staring at you longingly back at the cafeteria.
Jaune (still blushing): Oh…did she now? *Turns to look at her*
Velvet (speaking up): …Y-Yes, i-it’s true. I-I love you, Jaune!
Jaune: Oh! Well…um…th-thanks, Velvet! I’ve never really had a faunus girlfriend before! I must be so lucky!
Coco (winking at Velvet): You’re welcome~!
*Velvet smiles at her, but generates a bit of a dark, murderous aura around her*
Coco: I’ll leave you two alone now, bye! *Runs off*
Velvet (squinting at her): You better… *grabs Jaune’s hand and drags him away*
Jaune (gets pulled away): Wah!
*1 hour later…*
*In Team CFVY’s room, Jaune, who’s naked and tied up on Velvet’s bed, is struggling to get out, and Velvet, who’s also naked, is straddling him*
Velvet (with heart-shaped pupils): Jaune…I’ve wanted this ever since you’ve defended me from Cardin multiple times…I knew you were the one for me, my knight~…
Jaune (nervously): I-I appreciate the compliment, but I really need to get out!
Velvet: But you can’t! You MUST stay! I insist, my mate!
Jaune (raising an eyebrow): Wait…mate?!
Velvet (grinning): Yes…my mate! My partner! We’re going to make love all day, every day, until this mating season ends! And nobody will bother us! EVER!!! *Smiles evilly*
*Jaune gulps*
*Flash cut to Team JNPR’s room, with Coco, Fox, and Yatsu standing outside in their pajamas*
Coco: …And that’s why we need a place to sleep.
Nora (cheering): Whoo! Slumber party!
Ren (sighing): …I’ll go get the air mattresses and extra blankets.
Pyrrha (concerned): I hope Jaune is alright…
