The nonstop rains in North India have brought disaster in many areas. There has been loss of life and assets due to rain and floods in western Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Red alert has been issued in western Uttar Pradesh,Uttrakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Here, due to heavy rains in the country's capital Delhi, the water level of Yamuna has already crossed the danger mark. Due to rain, several areas of Delhi are waterlogged.
