This should all be taken with a grain of salt due to translation inaccuracies, but from what I can gather from the latest Q and A, all it says about Hange is that they are estranged from their family, she has some skill in housework but doesn't like to do it, and is the type to fly off somewhere then come home unexpectedly (akin to Eren apparently?).

Soooo basically all stuff we already learned from the character interview from years ago 🙄😒😮‍💨

Edit: Guess it also states in a character blurb that Hange is kind, beautiful, smart, stylish, and gets v embarrassed when being complimented. We been knew but still 😌

Something I find so funny about the powers in TMA and people wondering what entities they would align with and such is that I physically cannot give a single answer.

I have a raging anxiety disorder. I'm afraid of EVERYTHING. At least a little bit. Every one of those things would easily torture me.

Exept for the extinction.

Yeah, it's kinda scary. The end of the world and all that. But like, it's also really inevitable? And that is really intriguing to me. Plus it's so vague? The end of the world could theoretically fall under any singular fear in real life.

Disease? Yep. Catastrophic unfathomable thing? Yep. War? Yep. Some greater power? Sure. Suddenly just blinking out of existence without anyone ever being able to know? Yep.

So I think all of the fears would have power over me. But i would be most aligned with the Extinction.

Which is weirdly just how the Extinction seems to operate.:3

I wanna ramble so here a cut

For as long as Yam can remember he's been on his own, hopping from place to place in the dragon valley only making money through rewards in sparring events, the only emotional outlit he had was through sparring and as a result he never learned healthy ways to cope with negative emotions. He always needs things to go exactly how he expects them to and when anything deviates even slightly it makes him agitated and on edge, he'll often try to take the fastest route to resolving that deviation as possible regardless of whether that solution is reckless or not. He also often has tunnel vision not being able to look at the full situation in those moments because all he can focus on is getting things back to how he expects them to be. He doesn't intend to come off as harsh or stubborn he just can't focus on anything other than the active task at hand or else he might slip up and that would be a change from what he needs to be doing.

Despite loosing the SJS and escaping the COD Choco struggles from hallusionations, intrusive thoughts, and struggling to identify what is and isn't real. He often has night terrors from everything thats happened to him and on occasion he'll wake up not fully processing that those nightmares weren't really happening, he has issues with insomnia and will often only rest for a hour or two at most early escaping. He's often scared that one day he's going to fall asleep and wake up back in that place and that none of whats happened is actually real, he knows that doesn't make sense but that doesn't make it feel any less real nontheless.

And Milk,,,, Augh Milk. Born in a dangerous enviorment where combat was crucial to learn at a very young age yet not taught due to a rare immunity to healing magic, small and weak and sick and unwanted by his own parents. Only seeing himself as a object since young, struggling to form a actual sense of self than the incident happened. Needing to help others in anything and everything, both selfless yet extremely selfish on a dangerous level, he would throw himself in harms way for somebody that hated him if it meant he could feel like he was doing something for somebody.

A savior complex yet believing himself to be so so below everyone else, if he could bleed for every tear wept by man he would plung that dagger in his heart without a seconds hesitation. He would suffer in manners unthinkable if someone asked him to, he would die for an few kind words. Fixated on having a purpose to live, he's a healer to heal those in a way he could never be healed, and a doctor to heal in ways healing magic couldn't, he's a defence to put his own body in the way of others and a friend to be someone elses company. He needs to be needed yet terrified of needing others, he has to solve everyone elses problems yet still solve his own alone, he can't show pain, sorrow, anger, fear, he has to smile so nobody will ask about him.

A cute little doll, he can do everything for everyone and need nothing in return, an item a object a tool. What else could you want from a person after all?

So I just got back into The Magnus Archives and like, I just realized how absurdly fascinated I am by the Extinction

Given, I am a massive sucker for apocalyptic bullshit. But TMA just hits all the bases I love so much.

I'm so genuinely put off by massive machinery, but j have so many concepts for things that relate to that for Extinction shenanigans. Like, oil rigs are fucking terrifying to me, and are basically massive man made islands. Eich feels right up the Extinctions alley.

Theres just a certain beauty to completely abandoned things like that to me. No one is left there. No one will probably be back for a long time. Just a trace left from where people once were, that will eventually also be crushed by time.

I live The Extinction as a concept so much.
