i think i remembered all the hype for that show, so when i watched it last year i remember being pissed off that i didnt like the show
#personal#y*i and b*nnana f*sh are cousins to me#i think y*i did make the sports fanservice show actually gay but somehow didnt pave the way for more. like i still think sk8 should#have been gay.#but when i started y*i in 2023 i just saw an idol and the rest of the cast joke about how fat the main character is. he has to lose weight#the character dynamics had the depth of ao3 fics and it sexualized the teen boy there which was weird. idk if it was so popular bc it#was 2016 and ik tumblr wasnt considered Dead then and in 2012 tumblr actually made Free an anime but... it was not good i think#a lot of things u can say has lgbt rep nowadays but i feel anime didnt really get there. u search lgbt themes on anilist and half of it#is shipping where its not canon. its so strange how y*i is unique for actually being canon but then didnt effect much..?#and imo its not smth to go back and call classic like other series
