not enough posts about MY special princess so i'll be the change i need to see in the world. obsessively caring for other people and about what they think of you can be self-harm too. even if you make it look like caring for other people comes for you naturally. (i think in buck's case there's a good chunk of evidence pointing to it having originated from a place of anxiety and rejection instead of a genuine want to be selfless all the time.) putting other people's wants and needs before your own all the time isn't exactly healthy because your own personhood boils down to service. so yeah buck needs someone who can take care of HIM instead sometimes ☺️ who can give him the okay to be selfish and to take instead of giving all the time ☺️ who gives him the chance to turn off his anxious brain and relax ☺️
