Not Leafs fans acting like they won a cup cause they got out of the first round and then thinking they had the kind of team that could come back from down 0-3. The delusion of that fanbase and media is hilarious. But this is so funny because I sat and listened a few years ago, like after AM’s second year or so in the league, to someone really big in their fandom rant about how the Leafs core was the new Blackhawks and how AM was going to be a better player and person than Patrick Kane - as a POC in the league. They also ranted about the horrible contracts that the BH handed out. Cut to a few seasons later - that “POC” was mooning and harassing the same veteran he was trying to weaponize against Black ppl who kneeled for the anthem when he said it went against the military and vets as if Black ppl aren’t in the military 😒 and the Leafs were handing out salaries bigger than 1988’s to guys who hadn’t gotten out of the 1st round let alone won multiple Cups. Now that core is probably going to be broken up and they didn’t accomplish shit except one measly first round win - meanwhile that Chicago team that dude and his merry band of homers sat up there and said they would be the next of, went to 5 conference finals and won 3 Cups in the first 7 seasons of 1988’s playoff career 🤣 You love to see it. That’s what y’all asses get. Everybody loves to talk shit - but 7 seasons into his career where’s AM’s or Mr. I hope you get r worded’s Stanley cups since Toronto media loved to compare Mitch and Kaner as well. Be scared they said. Toronto’s coming they said. Everyone’s number one can’t win you multiple Cups - but I was assured Torontos would for them. I was assured this was a core for the ages. Oops.
