Turkey Scholarship in 2023–2024 — (Turkey Scholarship Burslari)

Most students dream of studying at top-ranked institutions abroad. Some students try hard to attain their academic purposes, and despite their efforts, expensive education costs and living expenses sometimes prevent them from pursuing their objectives. The anxious days of education due to these difficulties in some countries are over.

Turkey is among these countries that welcome international students to apply for grants and scholarships either at undergraduate(bachelors) or graduate levels(masters).

In various courses, international students will be recruited for hundreds of fully funded Turkey Scholarships in 2023–2024. The documents for this application are submitted online for free and will not require an IELTS test. These fully-funded positions assist eligible students in developing their academic skills and knowledge. The selected students will also be able to get familiar with Turkish traditions, cultures, etiquette, and experiences.

Eligibility descriptions on documents

Study certificate of the levels you finished.

CV and required CGPA

statement of purpose, recommendation letter, and research proposal (Ph.D. only).

Transcripts

Passport, photograph, and NIC.

Language tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, GMAT, etc. (if required)

International certificates such as GMAT, DELF, YDS, and YÖS (if required)

Work experience (if required)

Important notice in document preparation

The certificates and transcripts from the most recent degree should be in Istanbul Turkish or English. Although the translation of papers is not required, it has been demonstrated that translated documents are far more likely to win a scholarship.

The basic qualifying condition for Turkish scholarship positions is that the applicant must not be a current or former Turkish citize

Written exam for Turkish government scholarship in 2023

Prior to a face-to-face interview with the Presidential staff, undergraduate candidates are given 60 minutes to complete a 30-question numerical test that includes math, geometry, and logic questions. Examinations are conducted prior to further interviews to evaluate applicants in the fields of health sciences, engineering, and social sciences. Results are evaluated among all the applicants within a given field.

There will be questions that require explanation in both Turkish and English, as well as questions that do not require translation. The exam expects candidates to be sufficiently prepared for these exams in English, given that English materials are frequently used in undergraduate health, scientific, and engineering courses in Turkey and many other countries worldwide.

The face-to-face interview will be held in the morning and afternoon on the same day as the exam. After getting the interview invitation, candidates will be advised of their test and interview times. Interviews are normally 15–30 minutes long and follow the following format:

Career aspirations and scientific knowledge

Finally, a committee question.

Note that your decision will not be made during the interview and will not be known until the day the results are released.

Note that candidates selected for the interview, if they have not yet graduated, must have all the transcripts, documents, and certificates up to each year they have studied.

The Finnish soundtrack of my life

Music is something I’ve always loved. At the end of the year, when Spotify sends you your annual streaming stats, I’m always amazed how the time I’ve spent listening to music seems to grow every year. That being said, my relationship with music is far more complicated. As a little child, my taste in music of course reflected that of my parents’. And since my parents listened (and still listen) to a lot of Finnish music, so did I. Once I started listening to more music on my own, I almost completely stopped listening to Finnish songs. Then, a few years ago, I “re-discovered” Finnish music. Even though I still mostly prefer foreign music, every now and then I put on my “Finnish Gems” playlist and really enjoy the good music.

  Enough with the preface, let’s get to what this text is all about. I can recall many memories, especially from my childhood, closely associated with Finnish songs. So, here is the Finnish soundtrack of my life!

Lordi - Hard Rock Hallelujah (                 Lordi - Hard Rock Hallelujah (Finland) 2006 Eurovision Song Contest Winner               )

  This is one of the first songs I remember really liking. When Lordi won, Hard Rock Hallelujah was probably almost every Finnish kid’s favorite song. This song was also my first touch to Eurovision.

  Dingo - Levoton Tuhkimo / Kirka - Hengaillaan / Hurriganes - Bourbon Street

  When I was 6 or 7, my best friend got a “music set” as a birthday present. It included a small “piano”, a little drum set and a “guitar”. He also had a CD that had classic Finnish hits. I remember how me and my friend used to create awesome performances where we would put the CD on and pretend to play the songs with his toy instruments. The three songs I can recall were on the CD are Levoton Tuhkimo, Hengaillaan and Bourbon Street. And let’s face it, all of them are absolute bangers!

  Juice Leskinen - Viidestoista Yö

  My father is a huge fan of Juice. When i was younger, he used to play Juice’s albums while we were in our car. Although I could have picked almost any of Juice’s hits here, this is the one I have the fondest memories of.

  Ari Koivunen - Hear My Call

  Back in the days when Idols was a popular TV show, me and my family used to watch it every week. When Ari Koivunen won the show one year, my father bought his debut CD when it came out. We listened to it for a few months straight, and this is the one song I liked the most.

  JVG - Epoo (                 Epoo               )

  Nowadays this sounds so ancient, but I used to have my own CD player when I was younger. The album I played the most was Mustaa Kultaa, JVG’s debut album. Epoo was the first JVG song I ever heard (to be honest it might be their best song ever). I still know all the lyrics by heart.

  Leevi and the Leavings - Teuvo, maanteiden kuningas

  I couldn’t do this list without adding a song by Leevi and the Leavings. They’re one of my absolute favorite Finnish artists, and Teuvo has always been my single favorite from their great catalogue. It’s just so infectious, and it always gives me nostalgic vibes.

  Eppu Normaali - Vuonna 85

  Just like with Leevi and the Leavings, I couldn’t leave Eppu Normaali out of the list. This isn’t actually my favorite song of their’s (it’s still great though), but it’s the one I have the best memories of. My parents really like “Eput”, and they used to play Vuonna 85 quite often when me and my brothers were younger. My brother really loved this song, and he used to sing it all the time.

  Frederik - Volga (                 Frederik - Volga               )

  When I was in upper secondary, Frederik, and especially Volga, somehow become a huge inside joke in my friend group. Back in 8th grade we had a great maths teacher, who created us a playlist we would listen on friday afternoon’s lessons. We filled the playlist with Frederik songs and other (usually bad) songs that were either inside jokes, memes or novelty songs. We often started the lesson with Volga. I still have the playlist saved in my Spotify account!

  Nypykät - Lastenlaulu (                 Nypykät - Lastenlaulu              ) 

  Another inside joke. In my confirmation camp, we had these songbooks that we would sing songs off every evening. I really don’t know why, but Lastenlaulu was included in the book. This became an instant favourite of ours, and we sang it many, many times during the camp. At one part of the song, the lyrics are about China being a developing country. Every single time we reached that part of the song, everyone would shout “Kiina on kehitysmaa!!” from the top of their lungs :D.

  Profeetta ja Uusi Maailmanuskonto - Psykoosiin                  Psykoosiin               

  Had to include one more “joke song”. I have listened to this countless times in the past two years, especially during exam weeks. Although the song gets quite repetitive towards the end, it’s still fun to listen to.
