Always and forever : everyone of my cellphones and smartphones has made a ringing sound that most closely resembles a landline desk phone with a brass bell powered by the local office's voltage.

Hell: I've got "ringtones" of the old phones from Little House on the Prairie" to really punch things up.

I've even downloaded ringing sounds more appropriate to early versions of phones one would have heard on Little House on the Prairie. Surprisingly it sounds pretty much the same for about a century of technological progress.
