Song Review: XIIX - "Kirameki"

On January 9, 2025, two-member Japanese rock unit XIIX released “Kirameki” (which translates to “Sparkle”). The song is being used as the opening theme for the Winter 2025 anime, Magic Maker: How to Make Magic in Another World.

And this could have a parallel with Haseul’s bird or diamonds, or maybe Go Won’s body she left behind in the XIIX teaser. Either way, I like the symbolism of Haseul leaving them behind in the past.

Our department head convinced the mail department to create a separate document class for nursing documents, and then have those entered into the system by the pattern recognition AI which has 10 years of data entry to fall back on. The AI started doing data entry two years ago, and got decently good at it six months ago after all. It would increase efficiency.

The nursing documents are now... In their old document classes. Their data is entered with nonsense codes that get flagged for human assistance needed. Healthcare data is now regularly flagged as nursing stuff, based on VERY general keywords, which can only be approved by about 3 people outside our subgroup. It's unclear if this problem is contained to just the healthcare department, or if uhhh... 3-4 potential other departments and/or the mother company are affected.

I wanna blame AI, but this is the kind of AI that means people get a human on the phone, limited to a very specific source of learning where no privacy is breached or content is scraped. It works very well for other companies that were willing to pay their programmers and buy hardware with more than minimal specs for the software.

We got away from the edge of backlog two weeks ago. We are supposed to avoid anything that causes more backlog--no instructions given on how to do that.

今年もこの日がやってきました。こんばんは。ツアーで結成日(？名付け日？)を迎えることが毎年恒例になってます！恒例に出来てることが幸せだよね。みんなのスケジュールもそうだけど、会場、来てくれる方々、そしてなにより健康であること…この数週間、毎日噛み締めて生きてます…。ここだけの話ですが先月末、実はころっと行ってました。健康である喜びね…。心も身体も。今は全ての欲が戻ってきてくれたので！下ネタじゃないです。期待した人ごめん、下ネタは卒業したんだ…。男子会のみで発揮します、乞うご期待！違う。すってぃに誘われて一回断って、いや…やっぱり…って始まったXIIX。1020年続けたいと思ってるんでまだまだひよっこなんですけど、これからも真心込めて沢山の音楽を作り、贈るので見守ってもらえたら嬉しいです。(時間がかかってしまうのは本当ごめんなさいなんですけど…。)俺らの音楽を聴いてくれてるみんな、すってぃ、いつもありがとう！2024.10.20
