Renjun 🦊 : WILL pull up the I'm foreigner card. "I don't understand what you are saying" He's lowkey proud of you but will never admit it.

Jeno 🐶 : Side-eyeing you for the whole thing. Will drown you in kisses once you get home. "You are the prettiest girl. Everyone knows it now"

Haechan 🐻 : Would make a whole joke about it. "What?" thought I was the prettiest idol. This cannot be true. Who voted for this?" It'd make everyone laugh including you.

Jaemin 🐰 : Would be very chill about it. He already expected everyone to see exactly when he saw on you the first time he laid eyes on you. "I think she deserves it"

YangYang 🐑 : Would be surprised by a question of the interviewers. "You two make a good couple. Two true visuals" He'd chuckle nervously. "Yeah..." He'd try to remain calm to not make it obvious.

Chenle 🐬 : He'd try not to react to not get asked about it. Would congratulate you backstage and he'd get you flowers the next day. "The prettiest idol deserves the prettiest flowers"

Sagittarius venus and mars individuals are naturally athletic and have a knack for dancing and learning the key points of dance moves, it can explain why winwin is rlly good at dancing and grooving, plus predebut he was in a dance school in china I believe. His sag mars makes sense for why he delves into multiple hobbies or interests, this can be expressed thru his career or as a side-skill he would develop. so right off the bat, my mind goes to winwin and wonbin. my quiet pretty boys are so similar to be not only because of their demeanor and the way everyone dotes on them, but they really hold down the dance line despite not being the main dancers of their groups or getting much attention in that category - they can get down okay don’t play.

next, i’m gonna have to say sungchan would be great with xiaojun. originally, i’d say lucas and sungchan would be the perfect duo without hesitation (tall and loud line go crazy) but, sigh. however sungchan and xiaojun are also pretty similar imo, mostly bc of their mannerisms and appearance. they both initially seem tougher or intimidating but they’re actually sweethearts in disguise and love doting / teasing the other members. they’re also both just sexy as hell. i need them both actually.

i think kun and eunseok would be so fucking funny and quite compatible friends. it would be so awkward to watch them together, but despite their reserved personalities they love to have fun and just watch the others go batshit while always being their to be the hyung everyone can rely on lmao.

now hear me out, seunghan interacting with hendery could be HILARIOUS. i could just be biased but i find seunghan so funny and just utterly lovable. and then we have hendery who is entirely his own brand of crazy lmao. seunghan feeds off of others’ vibes well so seeing them do some chaotic shit could be variety show gold truly.

yangyang and sohee could be so cute, in my humble opinion. they’re both entertaining and have the ability to light up the room. they’re both experts at annoying the other members, but it’s impossible to stay mad at either of them. so if they ever meet, i’m sure it would be a fun time fr.

lastly, to no one’s surprise at all, we have our backbones of both groups — shotaro and ten. dancing gods, adorable smiles, teasing comments, sickeningly sweet behavior, and a very strong sense of influence within their respective groups are all traits these two share. i don’t think they got time to properly interact too much during sungtaro’s time in nct, but they were so cute in that big nct variety show thing.

SBS Gayo Daejeon 2024

Doyoung MCed. Perhaps SM has a better relationship with SBS, or believes it has wider reach, this show was given a priority despite limited time for performances. It also had a better camerawork than average.

Do is the "don't put a finger in his mouth (he will bite the whole hand off)" kind of person. He didn't intend for the baby butt bread pose to go viral, but it happened, so he now uses it as much as possible.

NCT Wish. As usual, their outfits were good and well-fitting both their concept and the occasion. As new faces they need to catch attention, and well chosen clothes that accentuate the idols' selling point (in this cute and fluffy) help with it.

Shion has improved both in dancing and facials. NCT Wish proves that synchronisation tops "individual style" any day. A well synchronised group is just more pleasant to the eye. Individuality can be shows with centre moments (Sakuya's movements are adorable and cheeky, Yushi's - more gentle and timid) and difference in outfits.

The screens also were used well. The name of the song, the unit's name, the concept (cupid) and seasonal (Christmas, holiday) symbols were shown. Overall a well-rounded stage. The director really favoured Sakuya, heh.

WayV. Was promoted a lot this year. I didn't follow but saw mentions on them being on different YT Korean programmes, festivals, singing live on radio and It's Live, etc. Ten and other members were on Thai shows a lot, too. The next album will show how well the push went. Will be there a significant jump in album sale numbers, or not.

The outfits could have been brighter, it's Christmas, everything should pop. Otherwise they fit WayV's image. It's evident the designer put in effort with thinking up new solutions and details. Did Kun get a heart as a magician (card tricks)?

Apparently, Doyoung mixed lyrics. Perhaps because "Little light" was shortened, so it wasn't a run on muscle memory? He didn't have time to properly set the mood and impress with his emotional singing, so he used another trick - a long note. A moment to circulate on socmed.

NCT U. No unit was forgotten. The chosen members not only are dancers, they are a bit more known to the wider k-pop audience. Xiaojun as a music show MC, Jungwoo as a host of Nopogy and a guest in other variety programmes, Shion is the leader and goes the most to shows to advertise "Wish". Hm, Jaemin did a tv-series, let's pretend, it counts, heh (he fits better with Jun than Jeno would as well).

NCT Dream. Gothic "Smoothie" was unexpected but welcomed. Maybe SM played on "Freaky" part of the "Merry Freaky Christmas" show's slogan for this year.

NCT 127. The concept for the looks was ski resort. A winter sport for rich (in SK). I approve. The puffy jackets and streamlineds tops reminded the cosmic theme neos had with Superhuman. At the same time it was reminiscent of 90s-00s fashion. With 2NE1 and GD comebacks, this retrm touch was timely.

SM announced that this performance was a glimpse at Momentum. Well, considering 6 members performed, maybe it was so. Happy they brought Firetruck back and left Taeyong's voice at the start. It was the song that had Taeil but didn't have Doyoung (and Jungwoo). So, perhaps, the choice was made to signal the transition into the new formation (8 current members). However, it's not the first time DoWoo performed it. Afterall, FT was a notable part of Unity. Maybe it was chosen simply for the fire and smoke effects, for the flare.

Seems like Do is growing his hair for his role of Gwynplaine. It suits him. Maybe it's the success of the solo (the year was really good for Do's career and the creative side's satisfaction), maybe lack of sleep (Do tends to become more daring as he has little energy on controlling himself ans his more sassy and "I want it my way" side comes out (see his manic smile)), however, Do was more daring as an MC. Even the scripted things he played out with less reservation.

my type of biases, i guess, it's that i tend to like centers/leaders for some reason. karina, irene, taeyeon, then kazuha is pretty much the center of lsrfm, and in other groups it's kinda always the same position. except for sehun, i think, but he's the visual (?. i think this makes sense 😭

The thing about NCT that I've always loved is that there really is something for everyone musically. 127 has the noisier, rap-heavy, music (great if you like ATEEZ), Dream has the fresher sound (great if you like Seventeen) and WayV has a really well-rounded, throwback sound (great if you like SHINee.) And then there's the NCT U albums (which has the members mixed into random units rather than the usual three) and those songs tend to be amazing because they're the best of all 3 worlds!

NCT 127 is made up of Taeyong, Johnny, Taeil, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark and Haechan. (Winwin used to be in 127, too.)

NCT Dream is made up of Mark, Haechan, Jaemin, Jeno, Renjun, Chenle and Jisung. (YES, Mark and Haechan are in both 127 and Dream. They work incredibly hard!)

WayV is made up of Kun, Ten, Winwin, Hendery, Xiaojun and Yangyang. (Lucas used to be in WayV.)

(Sungchan and Shotaro who are now in RIIZE originally debuted in NCT but that's a story for another time.)

Every 2 years or so, SM puts out an NCT U album, which takes all of the NCT members and puts them together in random units. So, for example, instead of getting a song with all 7 Dream members, you might have a song like 90s Love which was Mark, Haechan, Ten, Sungchan, Winwin, Jeno and Yangyang.

Everyone gets into groups differently (some start with music, some start with variety content, some like to get to know the members first, etc.) so please tell me how I can help you! NCT is my #2 ult in all of K-Pop and I've been with them since WayV's debut in 2019. I would be so so happy to help a friend get into them!
